If it's okay with you, could you write a drabble about the hypothetical aftermath of Amane getting attacked by Kotoko?
Welp thank you pal for making me absolutely insane with this request 👍 I ran through a few hypotheticals and realized I had to shift some things around since there were so many absolutely tragic outcomes. I worked something out but damn if it didn’t make me emotional to think about how uniquely rough Amane has it. Even making sure she's in a good place at the end, this got pretty serious, so warnings for child abuse and cult references.
(So in canon, Kotoko goes in order and attacks Fuuta, but Kazui steps in. Then she attacks Mahiru while he’s distracted with his injuries. She’s about to attack Amane, but Mikoto gets in the way (my hc that he did it on purpose survives!). By the time they reach a draw, Kazui is back, and the two of them can prevent Kotoko from any further action against Amane. Sticking to this apparent system of three attacks and one rescue, I’m just shuffling around the injuries for this story. Fuuta’s attack went unnoticed, and he’s in the same state as canon Mahiru. Mikoto steps in before Kotoko can fight Mahiru, so Mappi’s the one who get out physically unscathed. While Mikoto checks on Mahiru, recovers himself, or discovers Fuuta, Kotoko is able to attack Amane next. Kazui comes to help, but not before she leaves Amane looking like canon Fuuta.)
Mahiru could practically feel her heart shatter into a million pieces when Amane finally cried in front of her. She hadn’t shed a single tear yesterday – it was the shock, Shidou said. Mahiru was skeptical. After all, she had been shocked, too, and cried plenty.
Amane woke as she came in with breakfast. She took a moment to survey herself, bandages peeking out from beneath her pajamas and an eyepatch securely over her right eye. As calmly as one might say “good morning,” she started to cry. Mahiru might have missed it, if Amane hadn’t wiped at her good eye with her sleeve.
“Oh, sweetheart…!” Mahiru rushed over to her. “It’s okay, I’m here.” She wanted nothing more than to wrap the girl in a secure embrace, but she remembered the mass of bandages that were around her chest. Shidou had mentioned broken ribs and bruises. It took everything in her not to cry along with Amane, at the thought.
“I can get you another ice pack, if you need. Or more medicine.” Her mind spun with ways to help with pain. Many of the first aid supplies had been used to keep Fuuta from the brink of death, but surely there were extras to spare for Amane.
The girl just shook her head.
She muttered, “I can’t… I…I’m going to be punished, I’m going to be punished…”
“No! You’re safe now.” Mahiru placed her hands gently on Amane’s arms. “Kotoko’s not coming back. We’re all watching over you. You’re safe. She’s not going to hurt you anymore.”
“That’s not…” Amane pulled away. Her voice stayed level, despite hiccups interrupting her. A hand reached up to her eyepatch. “It’s this. It’s all of this. It’s sinful. I took it off last night, but he must have…” She started unwrapping it. “They’re going to punish me...”
With a careful motion, Mahiru held it in place and took Amane’s hands into her own. She’d been picking up on the signs ever since they arrived here together, and a final wave of understanding washed over her.
“I can’t let you do that.”
Amane’s expression twisted, though words came out far more frantic than fiery. “Let me go.”
Mahiru didn’t. “I’m sorry. Amane, you need this treatment.”
“That is not your decision to make. That is not any human’s decision to make.”
Mahiru pressed her lips together. “I know. But I can’t watch as you… I can’t sit by again while someone…” She was careful not to apply any pressure, but she could no longer fight the urge to gather Amane up in her arms. “You don’t need to be afraid of those people, anymore.”
“I’m not afraid.” Amane hiccuped. “They love me, and I love them. I need to be good for them.”
“I love you, and I don’t want to see you in pain.”
“You just pity me because I’m young.”
“Why does your age matter? You are a lovely young woman – you are my friend – and I can’t bear to see you in pain.”
The two sat in silence for a moment. Mahiru doubted she would take that as an answer; Amane had refused to call any of the others her friend. At least she didn’t argue. In fact, it seemed she was leaning into the embrace a bit more. She sighed a shaky breath into Mahiru’s uniform.
“Listen, Amane. Can you do me a favor? I’m trying to be a good girl, too. To make up for something awful, I need to make sure you’re alright. Can you help me? Can we be good together?”
A long pause followed. Amane’s voice spoke up, ever so gently.
“I suppose I can consider it.” She added quickly, “for the sake of your redemption. Of course.”
“Of course.”
#milgram#amane momose#mahiru shiina#thank you so much! i dont want to be bubbly on such a serious drabble but i want to give an enthusiastic thanks because this one really got#the gears turning!!#i started making plans as soon as i saw the ask and it took so long finding something that wouldnt result in straight up tragedy :(#if i kept to the initial timeline and said kazui didnt step in until amanes attack then both fuuta and mahiru would be close to death#and given there seems to limited supplies i think one of them would have died if shidou needed to treat three critical patients#so i moved people around to make sure everyone survived#which brought me to the main problem of amane self sabotaging her medical care#even minor injuries could have resulted in death if she got her way and removed bandages/refused treatment#but the mental strain of keeping the treatment would be just as bad as the physical pain -- shed be paranoid 24/7 of#divine punishment and repeating the mistakes that led her here.... it would hurt more to be forced like that#so i needed someone to be able to get through to her gently#but the only one who shes been able to trust just got the shit beat out of him and is in no position to talk!!!!#everyone else would just make her more upset or not know how to convince her the right way :(#still - i think mahiru could do it the best! with her own trauma from allowing loved ones to die in front of her i think shed be motivated#so. yeah.#i know amane is supposed to be talking in the plural pronoun now but i couldnt get it to work - lets just say that kicks in soon after this#tw cults#tw child abuse#drabbles

Uh, Guys?
My Masterlist
Pairing(s): Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader, Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader, Bucky Barnes x Natasha Romanoff, Bucky Barnes x Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
Warnings: There Was Only One Bed, no smut (i know, rare for me these days), idiots in love. bi!reader, bc both bucky and natasha are hot and i’m so fucking gay. implied bi!natasha bc she also likes bucky. mentions of guns, shooting, blood, and medical supplies. nervous!reader. best friends to lovers x2. it’s just pretty fluffy
Word Count: 2417
Summary: You get put on a mission with both the infamous Winter Soldier and Black Widow to take down a Hydra base. You get shot and the extraction plan goes haywire but Tony knows a safe house. The only issue? There’s only one bed and you have a massive crush on both assassins.
**
“Okay, HYDRA missions are officially the worst.” You said into your comms, running through the halls, away from gunfire, towards the computer terminal. You threw the door closed behind you and quickly looked around for any agents or doors that could be used to attack you. Seeing that you were leaning against the only door, you grabbed a chair and shoved it under the doorknob.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Natasha asked through the comms.
You nodded before remembering she couldn’t see you. “Ah, yea-um, maybe.” You said, plugging the USB in. “I’m in the room with the computer, but I’m pretty sure I got shot.”
“I’m on my way to you, Y/N.” Bucky said, jogging towards where he knew the terminal was.
“Don’t bother, I shoved a chair under the door so nobody can get in and I’m not moving it just for you to carry me out of here. I’m fine, I’m still standing, and- oh, okay, I’m bleeding more than I thought, but I’m fine.” You replied, downloading all of the files on the computer for Tony and FRIDAY to sort through later.
Bucky sighed audibly through the door, “Really, N/N? Let me in please, just so you don’t accidentally bleed out alone?”
You checked the files to make sure they were downloading properly and moved the chair enough so you could open the door to make sure Bucky wasn’t being impersonated by a HYDRA agent. “What’s the password?” You asked, knowing that everyone on the team had a secret password with the other in case of something like this.
Bucky chuckled, rolling his eyes and leaning in the doorway slightly. “Monopoly.” You sighed dramatically and moved the chair out of the way, letting Bucky in. “You didn’t believe it was truly me?” He asked, dramatically offended.
“Buck, with the way technology is these days, they could probably clone you. Hell, the clone could know the code word and you’re not actually here with me, it’s an agent that’s gonna kill me.” You sat back down, continuously downloading their files and deleting them off the computer once you had them.
“Well, doll, you know that’s not it.” He said, leaning in the doorway to be able to watch you and the hallway.
You chuckled, watching the last of the files download. “Yeah, I know, but it could be.”
Bucky watched drops of blood continuously drip onto the floor. “Are you sure you’re okay? You look like you’re bleeding a lot.”
“I’m fine, Buck. This is not the first time I’ve been shot. It’s not important.” You said, pulling the USB out and turning to him.
“Where is it?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“My bicep is going to be fine.” You replied calmly, walking out of the room and jogging back towards where the three of you landed after parachuting out of the quinjet.
“Did you just try to convince me that your arm wasn’t important?!” Bucky shouted after you, jogging to catch up, the both of you running out of the building and to Natasha.
She raised an eyebrow at you and Bucky, motioning around to the empty clearing. “First of all, your arm is extremely important. Secondly, apparently, they booked more missions than extractions, so we have no way of getting home for the immediate future. Third, Tony has a safe house about 3 miles northeast of here, and he sent me the coordinates. Apparently we’re stuck together until at least morning.”
Bucky nodded at Natasha’s words and started walking northeast, you and Natasha following behind. You quickly fell into a rhythm of just following their footsteps as you got lost in your own head. It wasn’t that you were scared of Natasha or Bucky, not at all. You and Nat had been best friends for years, and Bucky was one of the only other people you would go to when you were feeling out of it. Your current issue was that you had feelings for them both, which had ruined your last relationship, since your ex-girlfriend figured out that she was not your priority. Cradling your arm to your chest, Natasha and Bucky finally realized you weren’t contributing to the conversation and turned to look at you.
“N/N?” Bucky asked softly, snapping you out of your trance. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” You said, sighing. “This just hurts a little more than I thought. How much further do you think it is?”
Nat smiled, laughing at you a little. “Darling, it’s been 10 minutes. We have a while to go.”
“It’s not still bleeding, is it?” Bucky asked again.
“No, the bullet lodged in my shoulder, so it’s not bleeding. Let’s just go, please? I’d really like to sit down.” You replied, walking past them in the direction you had all started in.
Natasha and Bucky gave each other a look before Bucky jogged over to you, picked you up bridal style, and kept jogging. Nat was jogging after the two of you, figuring that Bucky would want to get you to the safe house, stitched up and bulletless as soon as possible before your injury got any worse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twenty minutes of light jogging and your complaining that you could walk perfectly fine and Bucky didn’t need to carry you anywhere passed the time quickly, and before you knew it, the three of you were standing on the porch of the safe house. Natasha opened the door and allowed Bucky to take you inside.
“Uh, guys? I may be hallucinating from blood loss, but there’s only one bed.” You said, tapping Bucky on the shoulder.
Natasha and Bucky shared a look, Bucky setting you down on the bed. “Tony did this on purpose.” She said, sitting next to you. “You know we’re gonna have to take your tac suit off to dress the wound, right?”
“Yeah, I know.” You said, wincing.
“Are you okay?” Bucky asked, cradling your arm as he slid it out of your sleeve.
“I’m just in a bit of pain, and I’m not wearing a shirt underneath this.” Bucky’s eyes widened. “It’s comfier without the shirt and the fabric crinkles weirdly, but I’m wearing a bra.” You reassured him. “You aren’t gonna see everything, Buck.”
“I’ll still feel better if Nat does it.” He said, shifting his weight between his feet.
Nat glanced between the two of you. “I can’t do that. I can’t stitch wounds, Buck. It has to be you, especially because that’s Y/N’s dominant arm.”
“Yeah, I can’t pull the bullet out and stitch my own wound shut this time, unfortunately.” You said, shrugging with your unwounded arm. “But if it would make you feel better, Nat can help me out of my suit. I’m wearing a pair of shorts and I’m sure that there’s an extra shirt around here somewhere that I can wear.”
“I can absolutely help you out of your suit, honey.” Nat said, reaching for the zipper.
Bucky averted his eyes, blushing, as Nat helped you out of the mission-necessary tactical suit. “I’m gonna go find the medical kit I know Tony must have in here, shout when you’re ready for me.”
“Okay, Buck. Sure.” You said softly, wincing as your shot arm came out of the sleeve.
“Don’t mind his nervousness.” Nat said, moving towards the other shoulder. “He hasn’t really been with anyone since waking up from HYDRA and getting the trigger words taken out of his head. And I know he likes you, so that doesn’t probably make things better.”
Your eyes widened. “Bucky likes me?”
Natasha nodded quickly, “He’s not the only one. Do you have feelings for anyone?”
“I- um, yes? I just don’t want to say anything.” You said, averting your eyes from where Natasha was sliding your tac suit down your body.
“Why’s that?” She asked.
“I have feelings for more than one person. And I’m friends with them both and they’re friends.” You blurted out, feeling her hands skim over the band of your bra.
She nodded in response, slipping a finger in the band. “This is cute. Where’d you get it?”
“Ardene, you’d like it. I get a lot of stuff from there.” You breathed a sigh of relief that she was going to let this topic slide.
“Do I know either of them?” She asked, sliding your suit down further.
You nodded. “Both of them. Quite close, actually.”
“Am I?” You shivered slightly as you felt her breath ghost over your stomach. “You know it’s okay to talk about feelings, honey.” You hummed in agreement, mulling over in your head whether or not to tell her. “Buck or I won’t judge you.” Nat pulled your suit off and ran her hands up and down your calves a few times in a soothing motion.
Bucky popped his head back into the room. “What aren’t we judging?”
“Y/N has a crush on two people she’s friends with, they’re friends, and I’m apparently quite close to both of them.” Nat explained, keeping eye contact with you and slightly raising one eyebrow to make sure she got the facts right. You nodded once, sharply, fighting the urge to crawl under the covers and curl in on yourself.
“Oh, baby doll.” Bucky said, coming to sit next to you on the bed. “You know you can tell us anything.” He wrapped an arm around you and you burrowed your face into his chest. “Oh shit, this is something you’re really nervous about, isn’t it, doll?”
You nodded, knowing now you were going to have to tell both of them the truth. “I like you.” You said softly, knowing Bucky’s super-soldier hearing would pick it up.
“You like me, baby doll?” He asked, rubbing your back as Nat came to sit on your other side. You nodded again, attempting to burrow further into his chest. “Hey, that’s okay, sweet pea. I like you too.”
“Nat told me that.” You said softly, feeling the glare from your best friend burn into your back.
“Who’s the other one, N/N?” She asked sharply.
“You.” You said into Bucky’s chest, knowing he pointed at Nat when he heard you say it.
“Me?” Nat asked, surprised.
You nodded, pulling your head out of Bucky’s chest, but not willing to meet either of their eyes. “Of course it’s you guys. It’s always been the two of you there for me.” You paused, letting them mull over what you just said. “It’s why Meg and I split.”
Bucky turned you to face him so he could start pulling the bullet out of your shoulder. “How so, baby doll?” Nat rested her chin on your other shoulder, holding out a hand for you to squeeze.
“Well, she didn’t like the fact that I was constantly on missions, which is literally my job, so that didn’t help matters. But the other thing is that she said I looked at you guys differently than her, treated the two of you better.” You said, looking down and squeezing Nat’s hand.
Nat rubbed your back, knowing that if you hadn’t told the two of them this, you hadn’t told anyone. “She broke up with you because she could tell you liked us?”
You nodded. “She said that if she wasn’t my first priority then we weren’t meant to be. And work is always my priority.”
“But then it’s us?” Bucky asked softly, stopping the bleeding of the removal from the bullet before he stitched you shut again.
“Yeah.” You said softly. “She didn’t like that much.”
Bucky stitched you up, and as he had changed out of his suit while finding the medical kit, pulled his shirt off for you to wear. “Here, sweetheart. You’re all stitched up.”
“Oh, thank you, Buck.” You said, putting on his shirt, the nickname and his scent lighting your insides on fire. You sighed softly, curling up under the covers and rolling away from both of them, not knowing what to say to your two closest friends now that you had spilled your heart to them and they didn’t say anything.
Nat knelt next to you on the bed, gently placing a hand on your busted shoulder. “N/N, please don’t pout. Buck and I have talked, because we both like each other, and you. We want to try to make this work.”
Bucky knelt on the floor, cupping your face in his hands. “We don’t have to move quickly, baby doll, we just wanna be with you, if that’s something you’d be okay with.”
“Yeah.” You said softly. “I’d be okay with that. But how does something like this even work?”
“Baby, this is like any relationship, we’ll figure it out as we go. Communication and comprehension is key. And we’re pretty good at that.” Nat said, gently rolling you onto your back. “So why don’t we just start with cuddles? And we can go from there later.”
You nodded, moving over to the middle of the bed so they could both crawl in with you. “Is this okay? Or did you guys want to be closer to each other?”
“This is perfect, baby doll.” Bucky said, reaching across you to throw his arm over both you and Nat.
“Yeah, perfect.” Nat said, snuggling further into your side.
“Yeah, this is everything I’ve ever wanted.” You said, leaning your head against Nat’s while curling further into Bucky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Quick take a picture!” You heard somebody exclaim to wake you up. You were still very disoriented, having just woken up and you hadn’t even blinked your eyes open when light flashed behind them.
“What the fuck is that?” Nat mumbled into your shoulder, eyes closed still.
“I dunno.” You mumbled, wrapping an extra arm around her. “Don’ really care either.”
Bucky pulled you both closer. “It’s Sam and Steve here to pick us up.”
“But ‘m comfy ‘n sleepy.” You mumbled into Nat’s hair.
“I know you are, baby doll.” He said, beginning to untangle himself from the cuddle pile the three of you were in. “How about we all go for a nap back at the compound after we let your bullet wound actually get checked out?” Once untangled, Bucky picked you up in one arm and Nat in the other to carry you back onto the quinjet.
You nuzzled into his shoulder. “That sounds good.”
“So how did this all happen, punk?” Steve asked, taking you carefully from Bucky so neither you or Nat were dropped.
Bucky glanced between you and Nat fondly. “We’re all idiots.”

Whumptober Day 02: I'll call out your name, but you won't call back
Delirium
1427 Words; PN Rapids AU
TW for injury
AO3 ver
Raz groaned. The pain had only gotten worse since waking up next to the river. His head was pounding, distant sights and sounds passing through it only to elude his memory once they were gone.
Still, he continued to follow Loboto through the trees, trusting in the dentist to know where to go. It wasn’t like Raz knew, after all. Better to follow someone who hadn’t had all of their memories washed away by the water.
(Was that how it worked? Did the water sluice over his head and wash all of the memories away? Was that why his head hurt the way it did?)
Loboto clambered over a fallen… log, that was the word. An overturned tree was a log.
There were still a lot of words that Raz didn’t know, a lot of things that they passed that he couldn’t recognize. But Loboto was “the Greatest Dentist of this Century” which had to be important. And important people knew things, Raz was sure. So it made the most sense to continue following him along.
But still. Ow.
Raz stumbled over—he wasn’t sure. Was the ground (that was the word, ground) supposed to be uneven?—something, he stumbled over something—it didn’t matter what it was called, just that he had stumbled over it—and his arms snapped out to his sides as he took several steps too fast in an effort to keep himself upright. In doing so, he ran smack into the back of Loboto’s… coat and bounced backwards, landing on the ground.
Pain lurched through him like… well, Raz’ everything hurt, and that was what was important, here. The snatches of forgotten memories ceased for a moment—oh, wow, was the world supposed to spin like this?
Loboto said something, but it was lost against the rush of… whatever in Raz’ ears. His chest ached and the thought of getting back up only made his limbs heavy with dread. Yeah, that’s what he was feeling. Dread.
(Such a weird word. Dread. One letter off from dead. That had to be intentional, Raz was sure.
He wasn’t sure what death felt like, but he was sure this had to be pretty close. He couldn’t imagine feeling much worse.)
A gloved hand grabbed Raz by the shoulder, guiding him up until he was sitting. Cool metal pressed against Raz’ forehead. “Well, you don’t seem to be feverish.” Loboto mused. They removed their metal hand from Raz’ forehead, standing back up.
Loboto began to mutter, and for all that Raz tried to pay attention, his words were lost against the throbbing of Raz’ head and the ringing of his ears.
With a sigh, Raz let his eyes slip closed, the back of his head impacting the ground again.
+=+=+=+=+
The problem with finding children washed up on the riverbank was that the water was rarely so kind as to leave them unscathed. Compound that with the lack of supplies resulting from being maybe-but-not-really-on-the-run, and Loboto was faced with quite the conundrum.
The kid had all but agreed to work for them, Loboto thought, so it was Loboto’s responsibility to take care of him. Letting employees fall to harm just wouldn’t do! He was a reformed man!
…Even if they were still trying to figure out what that meant for him.
Well, whatever. Loboto shook his head. Raz had helped him in the past, and now Raz was hurt with nary a single adult figure in sight. Nary a single adult figure but Loboto, who was now obliged to handle this.
Loboto muttered to themself. The kid was injured, and maybe even sick from the dip in the water. Loboto had… none of his tools, not that they would help here. Raz didn’t have any cavities last they’d checked. Tooth care was still very important!! But somehow, Loboto had the distinct feeling that not even pulling teeth could really help Raz out here. What was afflicting the child was something… different. Something that wasn’t tooth-related at all.
Which was way too far from Loboto’s expertise. Oh sure, they’d stolen brains and mutated fish, but that was all behind him now! And even then, Loboto hadn’t been a doctor, and they sure weren’t now!
Well. He was a tooth doctor, but, as previously established, that wouldn’t help them here.
Loboto turned back to Raz. The kid probably needed rest, but this was hardly the place for it, they were sure. Raz had already gone back to laying down in the dirt, eyes closed—
Shit.
“You better not be dead.” Loboto muttered, leaning back over him. They poked at Raz’ face. No response.
The kid’s chest did seem to be moving, though, so he probably wasn’t dead. Yet.
“C’mon c’mon c’mon,” Loboto all but whined, “You gotta get up, kid.” The longer they stayed in these woods, the longer they were unable to access supplies. Loboto was not cut out for foraging, they were sure.
But Raz remained out of it, lost to the world. Loboto was half-tempted to simply pick up the kid and continue on, but they should at least make sure he was alright to be moved, first. Right?
Ugh. Children could be so fiddly, sometimes. Surely Loboto had never been so confounding.
With nothing better to do, Loboto sat down, continuing to poke at Raz’ chest. The kid would have to wake up eventually.
Right?
+=+=+=+=+
Raz floated.
That was really the only way he could describe it. He was floating, limbs splayed out around him in the nothingness that stretched around him. He couldn’t tell up from down, couldn’t tell if he was moving at all. He simply existed, cold tugging at him as he floated.
There was something familiar about the sensation, though—or maybe that was why he was feeling this, maybe his brain was only making all of this up based on what it could remember.
…Where did that thought come from? His brain making things up? That didn’t make sense. What even was a brain, anyway, and what would it have to make up?
An open door, a tugging sensation under his scalp.
Twisting colors, frustration stinging under his scalp like ants, weightlessness propelling him along, color turned gray and slow, playing cards, giant teeth, milk, tiny screaming voices, ringing bells, rolling squelching, red lights and loud music, squirmy bugs, flowers, water, water, water, water everywhere, water coming to HURT HIM—
Raz jolted. His head screamed at him, painfully. He tumbled, end over end—
Blue and green fabric, bright lights, loud thoughts and voices, rough hands in his own, catching him, holding him, making sure he’d never fall—
Raz reached out desperately for the memory. That was important. It had to be. If he could only just—
Nothing. Blue and green fabric melted together into nothing in his brain. A sense of longing filled Raz, but no matter how hard he reached, there was nothing for him to grab. Nothing for him to remember.
The nothing spun. Light erupted throughout the nothingness, a scratchy voice pulling Raz back.
The world came into existence around him. The ground was rough beneath him, sunlight coming down in dappled beams through the leaves on the trees. Loboto was leaning over him, poking at his chest.
“We need to get out of these woods.” Loboto decided.
Bereft of any other course to take, Raz nodded. He had to trust the dentist; he had little other choice. There was nobody else in his memory—and even if there was, how could he be so sure that they’d help him? How could he be sure that the longing he felt wasn’t in some way misplaced? That it wasn’t for something rather than someone?
Raz knew so little about everything, thanks to the river, and that left him so utterly dependent on Loboto. So he shoved the pain to the back of his mind and stood up.
A gloved hand wrapped around his midsection, lifting him up and bracing him against Loboto’s side. “This should be faster.” They declared, “And you shouldn’t be walking on your leg right now anyway. Wouldn’t want it to get worse!”
As they set off, Raz tucked against the dentist like… well, he was more or less hanging from the arm wrapped around him, his arms and legs kind of dangling before he got it in his head to grasp at the fabric of Loboto’s coat.
But as they set off, at a faster pace, Raz let himself relax.
He knew so little about everything, thanks to the river—
But he’d make it with Loboto’s help, he was sure.

🚑 - If your muse was the only person around and someone was injured, would they help? Would they have the experience needed?
@Arkhambird
Thought-Provoking Headcanons (May Answer IC or OOC)! @arkhambird
"Hm... Well, if I happened to be in the middle of a job at the time, I'd probably feel less inclined towards helping, even if they did seem interesting. The only thing that'd turn my little head around at that point would be if I knew the person, or if it was a child."
Outside of extremely rigorous training, children had far less capacity to defend themselves, if any at all. Most adults did: whether through brawn, brains, or both, there was always some sort of 'chance' that an escape or victory could be clawed-away from another attacking them; and if they didn't? Then they were simply too weak, and life and the natural order of things judged it to be so. No more, no less.
"The absolute worst thing you could come to me with, would probably be a burn."
"Granted, dear, I could clean and wrap it for you until you go somewhere better; but none of my hideouts are 'sterile' enough for such things. You're apt to get an infection before you leave, instead of a sticker!"
#arkhambird#Headcanon#(Man I miss getting stickers from the doctor's office haha! x'D)#(But yeah River's best medical supplies would be where her labs are which would be her warehouse and apothecary shop.)#(But the most sterile spots would BE in the labs and you don't want to have big open wounds around chemicals and poisonous plants lol. 8D;;

Makes me crazy when I see people seriously debating the morality of vampire lifestyles and they’re like “Actually, any vampire who robs a blood bank instead of feeding on random humans is much /more/ evil because hospitals need them for medical procedures and they’re not an unlimited resource, whereas an attacked human not drained dry will make their own blood back to normal eventually,” as if the human body is the only aspect in play in this scenario and snagging a bag of A+ is a universally net -1000 karmic action, while the lasting trauma to some mom on the way to pick up kids from piano lessons being assaulted by a monster that rips into your neck in a dark alley and drains you within an inch of your life isn’t a quantifiable aspect of the equation whatsoever
#which is worse? stealing hospital supplies /technically/ speaking meant for anyone who needs the blood to survive? or traumatizing two#humans a week and saddling them with hospital and therapy bills and missed work paycheck rent time ability on your weekly Eat Humans Kmart#Assailt run? hmmmmm#like duh obviously having a consensual human donator is the ethically best option but y’all say the dumbest shit about eating random humans#being ok but medical robbery unforgivably vile

Emergency: Help save my children's lives
Dear humanity,
I am Habib from Gaza. I am married and have four children: Menna, 12 years old, Adam, 10 years old (suffering from quadriplegia), Maria, 6 years old, and Ezz, one year old. Although they are young, they have survived previous wars, but this current war is the most difficult of all. This is a war of genocide, and the difficulty of the war lies in the inability to meet the needs of my son Adam, who needs special care.
Over the past ten months, we have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Our once peaceful home in Khan Yunis has been reduced to rubble, and now we find ourselves displaced in Deir al-Balah, living in squalid conditions in a makeshift tent on the streets. The devastation not only deprived us of our physical shelter, but also destroyed my livelihood - the once thriving business that supported our family's well-being, is now in ruins. The daily struggle for survival is exacerbated by the scarcity of basic necessities such as clean water, adequate sanitation and basic medical supplies
Our home was the place where we found hope and safety, and where we made precious memories. Losing him was like losing years of our lives.
Not only that, they destroyed my source of livelihood, burned it, and demolished it with bulldozers, and today I am without a home and without a job. I was working in a store I owned that met the needs and expenses of my family
Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.
At this stage, my husband and I decided to go to you and create an account on the Go Fund Me website and ask you to help us in these difficult times until we get out of Gaza, from the land of war to the land of peace. All we need from you is to support us and help us to get out of the war, even if you cannot help. You should spread the word. This campaign is everywhere and among your friends. We thank you for your stance and support for us. Thank you, my friends
The amount that will be collected from this campaign :
We will spend it by paying the amount to coordinate entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult $5,000, but depending on the pressures, crises, and waiting, the amount may reach $7,000 per person, and children $2,500 to $4,000.
We will also use it for the rest of the travel and safe transportation expenses to provide for all family members.
A picture of my children's life before the war
A video of my children's lives living the war
May God reward you with all the best and may God bless you
Best wishes with sincere gratitude,
Habib's family
