what doesn't kill you // part 3
you had your whole life planned out for you; start an agency with your best friend, scale the charts and make japan your bitch. but when a tragic accident leaves you incapacitated and out of a job, you find you just need to start fresh. you cut ties–and for two years, you've all but disappeared. until they need you again and come knocking at your door.
bakugo x retiredpro!reader
prologue ✧ previous ✧ next
Tumblr media
"They say there's a chance you could learn to walk again." He offered, trying to be as optimistic as he could. Lord knows you didn't need another thing to feel bad about.
"How big a chance?"
He flushed, looking away.
He had caught you after you had passed out, moving to sit beside you afterward.
The nurses were beginning to bustle about. You had caught a few pitying glances already–each one only making you wish your bed would swallow you whole.
"It's been done before."
"I know you know the stats." You said with a sigh.
He sighed too, squeezing your hand. "I just... I don't want you to feel like you can't. I know you can."
"Izuku."
He winced. "One in a hundred."
You sunk a little lower beneath the sheets at that.
The silence stretched on, neither of you knowing exactly what to say after that.
"Sorry I'm late." The door quietly swung shut behind the heterochromic boy as he moved to take a seat beside you; saving both of you from the awkward tension. "I couldn't get out of the press conference."
Right. Because for the rest of them, hero work went on.
You pushed the thought to the corner of your mind, adding it to the list of things you'd think about later.
He pulled a chair over, blank eyes softening as he saw you. He leaned over to give you a quick hug. "I'm happy you're okay." He said softly.
"How'd it go? Have you guys found him?" You asked, ignoring the last comment for no reason beyond its awkward nature.
You had learned from Midoriya that you had been out for two weeks, but he hadn't any other information. Apparently, he had spent most of his time here with you.
Todoroki nodded. "Bakugo did. The day after the incident." He informed you solemnly.
Your heart clenched oddly at the name.
"He got to the fucker before the authorities could. Beat him up pretty bad. For a second it looked like Bakugo was going to be charged with assault because the villain could barely walk after, but... given the circumstances..." He looked down, shaking his head.
You flicked a piece of lint off your blanket glumly. "Suppose he's been pretty busy then." You muttered bitterly.
That was the next question you had grilled Midoriya for. Turned out, in the half a month you had been in a coma, Bakugo hadn't dropped by once.
Todoroki looked at you, blinking slowly. "Y/n, it's not like that."
You scoffed but said nothing.
"It really isn't. He was so angry. He is so angry. He didn't go home that night. He stayed up until dawn looking for the villain and didn't stop till he found the guy." He told you. "He's just processing."
You sighed, turning to look out the window. "I guess." You just wished that he could process here. With you. And maybe some better food.
"He'll visit soon."
It was like that for the next couple of days. All of your friends, acquaintances, even a bunch of people you knew only by name–all showing up to wish you a speedy recovery and look at you with their pitying gazes that made your skin crawl.
And yet through it all, Bakugo never showed up.
"Are you up for another visitor?"
You looked up, slightly surprised to see a purple haired girl standing in the doorway. Jirou, as you recalled from high school–or rather, Earphone Jack she went by now.
You shrugged, nodding sulkily. What did it matter, really?
"Thanks for coming." You spoke quietly. So unlike your usual self.
She stared at you for a minute as you stared firmly at your lap. Everyone's pity was starting to drown you alive–and you had concluded that the only way to survive it was to pretend it wasn't there.
"Hiroshi and Yutaka Kota." She finally broke the silence.
You glanced up, confused. "What?"
"The children you saved." The girl answered. "Those were their names."
You shook your head. She must've been confused. "I wasn't able to save them." You whispered, hands clenched tightly together in your lap. "I was too slow.
"You're wrong. They were a bit banged up, but thanks to you they had just enough time to escape before the building really collapsed."
That couldn't have been right. And yet you wished so dearly that it was. You felt tears welling up in your eyes again–whether because you were happy or sad you weren't quite sure.
"I'm really sorry that this happened to you." She said quietly.
But there was something off about her tone. It wasn't pitying. Didn't feel like nails on a chalkboard as most people's did so often nowadays. It was... understanding. It was actually quite nice.
"But I thought it'd be nice for you to know that it wasn't for nothing. Including those two, 326 people accredit their lives to you, Cordelia."
You looked away, feeling the tears leak down your cheeks now.
"Thank you." You whispered. "It was getting really tiring hearing people tell me how 'at least I didn't die,' or some other unrealistically optimistic bullshit."
She snorted. "That's lowkey a weird thing to say to someone."
"Tell me about it."
She looks at you, and smiles.
Why had you two not been close before? You had both gone to UA together–hell, you two had more mutuals than you could count. And yet, you had never found yourselves in the other's company; and even after you both graduated, you never saw her on the field.
"Are you going to go to the hero gala?" She asked after a beat of pause.
Right. The hero gala. In the grand scheme of things, it just seemed so trivial now. "I didn't think I was still invited." You said honestly, letting your shoulders rise and fall.
"Of course you are." She corrected. "Cordelia, if anyone can learn to walk again? It's you. And even if you can't, that doesn't change your legacy. You're amazing, dude."
You smiled softly down at your sheets. "Yeah, I guess. Maybe. I'll think about it."
"Do. It's in three days. I'll see you there, okay?"
"Wait." You called as she stood before she could make it all the way to the door. "Why did you visit me?" You asked at last.
She smiled to herself, as if thinking upon a fond memory. "You're awesome. I always see you on the news. You're revolutionizing the space. Paving the way for women. It's amazing. Honestly." She told you proudly. "You're amazing, Cordelia."
For the first time in weeks, the load in your eyes lightened slightly, and you felt your lips tug into a small smile. It didn't erase the ache in your heart or bring back feeling to your legs, but it was something.

“Practice Makes Perfect”
BestFriend!Satoru x Female Reader | High School Era | ~1800+ words
Part 1. ➡️ part 2.
Tumblr media
You’ve known Satoru Gojo since you were both atleast five years old—back when his eyes were still uncovered and you were just the quiet pretty girl who everyone wanted to be friends with. He’d been wide-eyed and strange, with too much energy, too little filter and very egotistical, and instead of being scared off or absolutely head over heels for him, you told him he was annoying and offered him of a sweet treat he liked so he’d leave you alone.. a dango stick his favorite at the time.
Annnd he’d been stuck to you ever since.
Suguru came into the picture a little later; he was more quiet, calm, and very put-together, it was like someone dropped a moral compass into your chaotic duo. You meshed with him immediately, too. Your personality was similar to his: calm, a little sarcastic, and always five steps ahead. The three of you became inseparable. But if Suguru was your mirror, then that meant Satoru was your anchor—loud, chaotic, and weirdly reliable in a way no one else was.
Now you were seventeen, and things had changed—sort of. Satoru had to wear these stupid blackout glasses to hide his eyes, normally always pushing them up the bridge of his nose with dramatic flair, and the world knew his name like it was a brand…. —But when it was just the two of you, hanging out in his room after school with snacks and a dumb movie playing in the background, he was still the same boy who used to share his gummy bears one color at a time.
Still your best friend.
At least, that’s what you kept telling yourself.
You were sitting on his bed now with your legs dangling off the end, idly twisting a lock of your own hair around your finger looking up in thought, while he laid upside down across the foot of the bed, long legs dangling off the edge like he owned the place (which he did).
He sighed dramatically. “So, you’re really going on this date with that loser?”
You didn’t even look away frm the ceiling. “His name is Kota,”
“Thats a kids name..”
“You’re just mad he’s probably taller than you.” You said rolling ur eyes.. the guy wasn’t even 6ft.
Satoru scoffed, sitting up. His glasses slid a little down his nose, and he pushed them back up with one finger. “Nobody’s taller than me.”
“You’re insufferable.”
“You’re obsessed with me.” He said back. His responses were always quick.. you loved that.
You looked over at him then, meeting his gaze over the rim of his glasses. “You wish.”
He shrugged like it didn’t sting. But it did. Not that he’d ever let it show.
You’d been talking about Kota for the last week—about how he was “cute but weirdly obsessed with lip balm” and how he kept trying to steer your conversations toward kissing like a middle schooler who just discovered romantic comedies…
“He’s been saying he wants to kiss me,” you muttered, picking up your phone and scrolling through texts. “Like, constantly. And I’ve been deflecting like crazy.”
Satoru leaned forward, suddenly interested. “Wait, why? You into him or not?”
You gave him a look. “Of course not. I’ve just never kissed anyone before, and i don’t wanna kiss him and be bad at it- thats like…insanely embarrassing. Not that you even know what embarrassment feels like”
He rolled his eyes at ur snarky comment abd decides to ignore it focusing on the bigger picture . “You’ve never kissed anyone? Like… not even a peck?”
“No.”
He stared. “Not even that one guy in middle school? Uhhh What was his name? The short one who always wore cologne like he bathed in it—”
“Ew gross.. no.” you cut in, tossing your phone aside. “Not him, not anyone. You and Suguru are too judgmental, I didn’t wanna hear about it.”
Satoru smirked. “You’re right. I would’ve given you hell.”
There was a beat of silence. He looked at you a little differently now, like he was seeing something private without meaning to.
And then, because the silence was stretching into unfamiliar territory, you spoke again—quick and casual, but just a little too genuine.
“Wanna teach me?”
Satoru blinked. “Teach you… what? Math? I barely passed that test—”
“Kissing,” you said bluntly, like you hadn’t just derailed the whole afternoon. “So I don’t embarrass myself if Kota ever tries anything. Just like… practice. No big deal.”
Satoru just stared. Glasses sliding a little again. Before he took them off completely. “You serious?”
You shrugged, pretending to be way more casual than you felt your heart was definitely racing. Satoru was attractive and this was your first kiss…sometimes though rarely girls would start to dislike you just because of how close you were with him. You cant fake it.. your bestfriend wass hot. Like super hot. If u didn’t know him when he used to bite his toenails off n eat them maybe you’d be obsessed just like his fangirls—speaking offfff…..:“Yeah. I mean, you’ve kissed other girls, right?”
He scoffed. “Obviously.”
“Then help a girl out.”
He opened his mouth, then closed it again. His heart was beating loud in his chest, but he schooled his face into something cocky and relaxed. “Alright. Fine. But if you fall in love with me, it’s your problem.”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah okay.”
You both sat facing each other now, knees touching. The air shifted, and for the first time in a long while, it felt like neither of you were hiding behind jokes.
You leaned in first, because of course you did. You were always the braver one when it came to things that actually mattered.
He met you halfway.
The kiss was… gentle. Unexpectedly so. His lips were soft, and he didn’t rush it—just pressed against you like he was memorizing the shape of you, the feel, the moment. His hand brushed your jaw without thinking, thumb just under your chin, and your eyes fluttered shut before you could tell them not to. The kiss ended, and your lips lingered for a breath too long before you slowly leaned back, eyes flickering open. You looked at him, cheeks slightly flushed. Not in that shy, flustered way—because you were never like that. You were too composed, too blunt with your honesty. But still, something softened your voice when you said,
“I really liked that.”
Satoru’s stomach did flips..
“Yeah?” he managed, doing everything in his power to sound cool, teasing. “Told you I’m good.”
You snorted. “How humble.”
“Truthful,” he shot back, a lazy grin crawling up his face—but it didn’t reach his eyes.
Your expression shifted, unreadable for a second. Then you said it:
“I still don’t think I’m 100% ready, so… if you wouldn’t mind, let’s keep this up for a little while. Y’know. Until I finally kiss Kota.”
His brain stalled. You weren’t looking at him when you said it. Like it was something offhand, not a blade straight through his chest.
He chuckled—light, easy. “Sure. Practice makes perfect, right?”
You nodded. “Right.”
——————————
What started as “practice” became a habit.
You never kissed Kota. Not once. You barely even talked about him after that first week, but you never called it off with him either. So the sessions continued.
Sometimes it was a soft peck when you arrived, still smelling like your favorite perfume and holding a bag of snacks. “Hi,” you’d say casually, leaning in, and he’d let you kiss him like it was normal.
Other times it was slower. Deeper. You’d end up on his bed, your legs tangled with his as you tugged him down by the front of his uniform jacket and kissed him until his mind went blank. There was no rhythm to it—no plan. Sometimes you made out for ten minutes straight, breathless and warm. Sometimes it was just a single kiss, light and lingering. Just because.
A goodbye kiss when you left. A hello kiss when you came back. A “you’re annoying, but I missed you” kiss. A “you look cute in your glasses” kiss. A “this snack is gross, taste it” kiss that turned into something else entirely.
No one else knew. Not Suguru. Not your friends. Not shoko. Not Utahime. And ofcourse Kota didn’t know.
It was just the two of you. Always just the two of you.
And every time your lips met his, Satoru told himself not to get used to it… Not to think too hard about the way your arms wrapped around his neck, or the way your hand combed through his hair, or how you always smelled like something sweet and something warm. He reminded himself that none of it meant anything.
But it was starting to hurt..
You were lying on his bed again, phone in hand, headphones on as you played some game he couldn’t keep up with. You were focused, intently so, eyebrows slightly furrowed, thumb tapping fast against the screen. Your hair was half tucked behind your ear, half falling over your cheek. Your lips were pink, a little chapped. You hadn’t kissed him yet today.
Satoru sat in his gaming chair across the room, light blue Nintendo forgotten in his hands. The screen blinked, music looping in the background, but he hadn’t touched it in minutes. He couldn’t stop watching you. His chest ached with something raw. Something ugly and quiet and too soft to name. It hit him, right then—how badly he wished this was real. You just looked so comfortable, lying in his bed like you belonged there. Like this was your room too. Like this was your life together with him, and not just some borrowed fantasy he was only allowed to live in for a few stolen weeks.
His heart squeezed.
You’d asked him to help you prepare to kiss someone else. And he had said yes—because if being your practice dummy meant getting to kiss you at all, he’d take it. Every single time. But it had stopped feeling like practice a long time ago. Now it just felt like… pretending.
Pretending he didn’t really care.
Pretending like he wasn’t in love with you..
Pretending like every kiss didn’t break his heart a little more…
Satoru set his console down on the desk. Quietly. He leaned back in his chair, long legs sprawled out, one arm over his eyes so he could think. He knew you noticed things. You weren’t clueless. You picked up on the smallest changes.. wether it be in his tone, his expressions, his mannerisms.. But he also knew you didn’t push. You let things settle. Let people come to you. It was part of why he loved you—how steady you always were.
But that steadiness was killing him now.
Because you weren’t jealous when girls flirted with him in class.
You didn’t try to hold his hand unless it was a joke.
You never asked how he felt about any of it. This whole practice dummy thing..
He swallowed hard.
If you liked kissing him that much… then why was it still for someone else?
And why couldn’t he just say something? Anything like—
“This doesn’t feel like practice to me.”
“I think about you all the time.”
“I don’t want you to kiss anyone else.”
But he didn’t say any of it.
Instead, he stood up and walked over, flopping down beside you without warning. You made a noise of protest, he messed up your game- not that u were winning anyway-
“Seriously?” you muttered, still focused on your game. “You’re always in the way.”
“and you’re always in my head,” he said, without thinking. Voice a little muffled by the pillows.
You paused. Glanced at him.
“Was that supposed to be smooth?”
He blinked, catching himself. “Yeah. Just testing a line. Gotta stay in shape, y’know, in case you ever need practice with cheesy compliments too.”
You smirked, putting ur legs over his back. “Well, that one was pretty baddd.”
He smiled back—softly this time. “Yeah. I know.”
Your game resumed. The silence between you wasn’t awkward, but it wasn’t the same as before. Not for him.
You leaned over a little and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
“Thanks, by the way,” you said lightly. “For putting up with all this.”
He didn’t respond at first.
You meant the kisses. The weeks of pretending. The blur between best friends and something almost real. You meant thanks for letting me practice kissing someone else by kissing you. Satoru didn’t say you’re welcome.
Instead, he turned his head back into the pillows. He just wanted to pretend, just for a second, that you were his.
“Anytime,” he said softly.
And he meant it. Even if every kiss after this still wasn’t really for him.

The Greatest Boy In The World: Izuku Midoirya
This was originally part of a discussion I was having with @mikeellee but it got huge so this became its own thing. When I call Izuku privileged, I meant from multiple levels.
We've got our viewpoint, where we see beyond what the narrative shows us: a bunch of fake friends, an abusive rival, shoddy mentors, a school that failed him constantly.
Then there's what the narrative tells us: 1-A as a family, Bakugo as his best friend, him liking Aizawa, Nighteye, All Might and so on, and apparently Izuku's issues being something he himself needed to work on and not something that an educational facility should have been able to help him fix.
But here's why I say it.
What does Izuku actually lose across the story? Every single situation meant to bring tension and danger turns out to not come to pass, or gets walked back right away.
His teacher is a hard ass who seems to have it out for him? Well, no, Aizawa cools off entirely and is just there to be a grumpy toothless dragon. His bark is far worse than his bite. He'll make constant threats but never act on any of them.
Izuku is fresh to using his quirk and his classmates are all ahead of him? No, Izuku actually does way better than the majority of these loser kids and only actually lost to Shoto because, 1, he decided to sacrifice his win to taunt Shoto into using fire, and 2, bad luck.
Izuku's arms are in serious danger and breaking them could ruin their use for good? Nothing ever becomes of this. He breaks both arms against Muscular, uses a primarily kick based fighting style, then goes ham against Shigaraki during the first war arc. They reveal that, no, actually, OFA adapted to his body and prevents him from getting hurt so badly anymore and it prevents permanent damage.
He then loses his arms in the most nonsensical way possible, via a dream sequence? Only to have Eri mutilate herself (how did she know she could do that, how did they know it would work, why was she allowed and helped by Ectoplasm to do this?) and walk it back right away. His arms are restored so he can punch Shigaraki apart with the embers of OFA.
Losing his arms was completely meaningless and was done entirely for shock value.
Izuku's habit of going plus ultra is dangerous and people warn him it'll end poorly? Actually, no. Every single time he's gone plus ultra, he's saved a life or it worked out for him in the end. He scarred up his arms fighting Shoto, just for this to lead to Shoto coming to his and Iida's rescue in Hosu. He fought Gentle and La Brava and got criticism for it, but that turned out to be one of the best decisions he ever made, because they came back to save EVERYONE in the final war arc. He risks his life to save Bakugo and gets yelled at by the pro heroes, and then All Might decides he's his new successor and tells him he's worthy. He kept poking at Kota who just wanted to be left alone? He's in a prime location to save this little boy's life.
The only negative outcome of his reckless habit of going plus ultra was him losing to Dictator, who is then near instantly defeated by his classmates who happened to show up just in time to save him.
When you compare this guy to other shonen mcs and just look at the end results, what did Izuku lose?
He lost his quirk, but according to Izuku, he never really was all that serious about being a hero and always wanted to be a teacher. Regardless of if he lost his quirk or not.
Oh, but then his friends gave him an ironman suit anyways so he can do hero work when he's not being a teacher.
He gets a pity shonen hetero relationship, as one does in this genre.
He's known as the greatest hero who inspired the entire world to be more kind.
He didn't lose a single friend. None of his mentors died, besides Nighteye who was killed in the same arc he was introduced in. And I guess Midnight?
He's also never lost a real fight. Besides school games and the fight with Bakugo, what Ls has this guy ever taken? He either beats his enemy, an ally comes to his rescue and wins, or the enemy flees.
Even the abysmal 8 year timeskip was another of the author's fakeouts. He makes you believe that Izuku gave up on his dream and is no longer a hero, that he's super sad he doesn't get to see them as often, then his friends arrive to give him a handout just as All Might did all those years ago. What was originally meant to be the final chapter ends with Midoriya leaping into action with all his friends.
The author uses negative events and dumps on this guy to make you feel sorry for him and to make him seem like an underdog. Even his backstory is just that: a Cinderella story to get you to like him.
The author just walked the ending back because of fan backlash.
So rather than being a guy who doesn't try and needed his friends to even be a hero again without a quirk, he's a guy who only wants to play hero on the weekends.
Compare this to other Shonen MCs. Naruto at least lost his mentor and had his friend Neji die. Luffy lost his brother and has also lost multiple people across his journey who helped him, Pedro being one of them. There's also Jujutsu Kaisen which is absolutely excessive with how much it torments Yuji, but boy does that guy suffer for his victories.
Does Izuku even actually have any personality flaws? His flaw is that he's too heroic and he's too self sacrificing. But that's like saying he's too awesome.
People just act like the muttering is creepy and he's a loser for being a hero nerd, but what actual impact does that have on anything in his life? He still gets the friends, the fame, and the girl.
At no point is he ever socially isolated once he gets to UA nor is he seen as one of the weird or lame kids or anything like that. He's the heart of the class. The only person who ever dislikes him are people the narrative specifically frames as antagonists or mentors whose respect he has to earn, and Bakugo.
Even his dark hero arc where he left his friends to go out and become a hero…completely fucks up the moral because many characters would be DEAD if he hadn't left school to go save people.
The giant lady? Dead via a hate crime. Yo Shindo, his girlfriend, and the civilians they were protecting? Dead at Muscular's hands. All of All For One's assassins he sent after Izuku? Would still be at large and in AFO's pocket for the final war arc.
The numerous villains Deku beat down in defense of citizens? Still rampaging. Still killing people.
His friends left the ivory tower of UA to bitch at Izuku for saving lives and isolating himself while the narrative ignores this very real fact.
Hell, Lady Nagant wouldn't have been redeemed if he didn't do that. A world where he stayed at UA is an objectively worse off universe.
You see what I mean? Even when he does wrong, it ends up right.
Has Izuku ever actually make a mistake or choice in this story that wasn't rewarded or shown later to be the right one?
No.
He's a paragon of morality and good who the narrative warps reality around to ensure his actions have no lasting consequences for anyone.
Think about it. Let's take a look at how he said he'd save Shigaraki and didn't. What consequences came of that? Nothing. Spinner got mad at him for a few seconds and then Izuku talks him down and the guy decides to write a book.
Did heroes take Izuku's example of killing being a way to save people and use that to justify killing villains who don't surrender? No.
Was Izuku's triumph used by bad actors who wanted to push an agenda that would oppress more people and eventually create more people like the League? No.
Is there some threat out there that could have been handled by the power of One For All but couldn't be because the quirk is gone? No.
The world is actually more peaceful than it's ever been! Meaning even if Izuku kept his power, he'd probably be out of a job soon. Allegedly.
Did the death of Shigaraki, leader of the PLF, trigger second and third waves of terrorism from his followers who escaped capture? Did society have to face the backlash of this and it complicated the efforts to rebuild? No, the MLA might as well not have even existed.
Nothing happens. Deku just sometimes thinks back to Shigaraki while he enjoys what he claims is his dream job.
So that's my reasoning. He's simultaneously privileged but also gets shit on. His life sucks, but it's also awesome. His actions are dangerous and reckless, but they save lives and always result in a positive outcome.
I'd actually argue that the author dumping on Izuku is meant to portray him as a false underdog so you don't notice his other qualities. And of course, because he doesn't like the guy, but we already know that.

MHA chapter 430
Finally the last chapter has arrived and ... Well it's underwhelming at best.
I already knew I wasn't going to like this chapter considering how things went in previous arcs but I just feel underwhelmed and indifferent.
So Izuku loses his quirk and then becomes a quirkless hero. I don't know this seems so.... Underwhelming no that's not the word so bleak, gloomy and sad?!?! I also hate the concept of iron Izuku with a passion!!!
Tumblr media
Ochako starts a new quirk counselling campaign. This is good but it took that long?!?! I guess hawks was incompetent
Tumblr media
All might and izuku parallels/foils will be forever going and I love that izuku used his analysis skills for the kid and I suppose hori tried to go with everyone can be a hero one way or another because the title of a hero isn't just based on the job heroics but how someone helps and saves people but I think that failed in execution.
Tumblr media
I sense a change to momo's costume design. I like it
Tumblr media
Wait so even ✨I can't stop twinkling✨ yuuga became a hero?!?! I thought he dropped out of the hero course and went to do something else.
Tumblr media
Wait didn't shigaraki say he wanted to destroy everything??!? Shigaraki's goal never actually developed into a proper one where he wanted to destroy society and the aspects that hurt him. Well it kinda of did since he wanted to kill all might/destroy the pillar of society but that wouldn't cure the corruption and all that hurt others and shigaraki so why is Hori using it as a way to make it like shigaraki destroyed and izuku rebuilt?!?!
Tumblr media
Kota is going to UA!!! Eri is going to a different high school in general
The leauge got a horrible end and the only thing we do know is that spinner wrote a book, compress is out of prison and read the book and that's it.
Well best thing that came out of this chapter was that
No ships were confirmed!!!
Bakugo didn't become number one and was just eluded to dropping down the ranks for his aggressive behaviour
Izuku managed to beat the fast food worker allegations and became a teacher and a pro hero
I think horikoshi forgot about izukus father but there was no point in seeing a deadbeat like that anyway.

MHA 3.3 - Kota - part 2/3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Villain style debate go! It's form vs. function. Are you willing to be caught attacking a high school summer camp wearing that? Toga votes no.
Tumblr media
When the craziest looking bastard, calls you a crazy bastard.
I want to see their quirks!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the snippets of Aizawa actually teaching. It is true that the best way to measure improvement is to remember where you started. Thanks for dropping wisdom, as always Sensei!
Tumblr media
"...why you're sweating" being literal in Bakugo's case, ha.
I like the advice here. When it gets tough remind yourself of your original motivation for working hard in the first place, and let it push you forward.
Tumblr media
It has special relevance to Deku, because where he came from is being quirkless. His starting point was a blank page compared to the others. His progress shows more clearly, but he has more work to do to fill the page up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Bakugo were in a cooking show he could have been the Gordon Ramsey of anime. He is 2 seconds away from calling Uraraka an idiot sandwich, the poor girl was just trying to compliment him.
Tumblr media
Todoroki is being effortlessly funny yet again.
Yeah, it sure would be obnoxious if someone you barely knew rocked up and decided to try to solve your deepest trauma just like that. I mean, who would even dare do that? Surely not our chronic meddler Midoriya, lol.
Tumblr media
Speaking from personal experience, I see. I love that Midoriya asked Todoroki for advice, and he responded by reminding Midoriya that he has already done this exact thing for him.
Echoes of "It's your power, not his!" resounding in my brain. It is still the most moving moment of this show so far. Love the call back.
Tumblr media
There is so much good advice being dished out this episode. I am eating it up. Words are just words until they are backed up by action. I wonder how Midoriya is going to apply this to the Kota situation.
Part 3 is here

A Thought, A Theory
I'll probably make a more indepth post or may just update this one once the offical translations get dumped (which means pictures!), but I have a bit of a crack theory that chapter 430 isn't as real as we've been led to believe.
(As for when this actually takes place, that's up to you but I like to imagine the start of his third year marks the beginning of his mental decline)
This mostly comes from some inconsistencies in regards to the hero rankings and some other stuff
Its stated that Best Jeanist and Endeavor are still active. With the exception of Jeanist, this should not be possible for obvious reasons.
2. Something feels off visually and narrative-wise, I don't know how to describe this other than everything looks too ideallic. Like it feels too sanitized and sterile, this probably because Hori ripped the last bits of life this story had away. But hush. Also Aoyama is there didn't he leave UA? (and Japan)
3. Apparently people forgot the connection between Endeavor and Shoto. Normally this would be a good thing as Shoto would be able to become his own person.
This falls flat when you remember that also includes people forgetting the reason and happenings behind Shoto's existence, it just feels to good to be true. Everyone overlooks the bad and gets tunnel vision over any semblance of good.
Now you may be wondering, so what's going on.
Well, Midoriya's having a breakdown fantasy to cope with the fact that he won't be becoming a hero due to the loss of his quirk.
It sounds crazy but consider the following.
Midoriya subconsciously knows the way he's been treated was wrong. This manifests within the escapists fantasy in Bakugo's drop in the rankings + the attitude surrounding him (as well as his damaged hand never fully healing)
He meets a kid who just so happens to be in a near exact same position as he once* was (and still is to an extent). One could take this as his mind's way of trying to cope and heal itself, by having Midoriya do what he does best and help others, henceforth working though his trauma by using the kid as a stand in.
*Even the kid's "bully" seems to be a warped version of Bakugo (perhaps this is how Midoriya tries to fool himself into believing how it was)
We see Kota. I believe that here, Kota serves as what Midoriya thinks he could have been had he not failed. Kota is the idealized version of Midoriya here, the unobtainable.
I believe the abandonment/limited contact from his classmates to be based in reality, unfortunately. Whether it was by choice or forced by their PR to preserve their images (can't be seen around the "freaks" for too long, now can we?). The lie may come in the form of busy schedules.
(either it's what Midoriya tells himself or he's been told, you can't tell me they can't just make a group chat or video call. At least a High School Reunion)
The Mech Suit is a massive cope, it's the dying whimper of Midoriya's childish hope that All Might will save the day. This time there's no magic quirk, no garrish mech suit, no plot twist.
No. There's only Midoriya and the consequences of his, his classmates and hero societies actions. It doesn't matter how shiny and seamless the illusion, how sweet the lie.
You can't hide the blood.

My Hero Academia Chapter 430 Spoiler Talk: The True End of An Era (Part 1)
This is it, the final chapter of My Hero Academia. A series 10 years in the making has finally ended. It's really insane to think about. This series has done so much good for a lot of people despite the fandom's flaws. MHA was both people's introduction and even reintroduction to manga and anime. It's bittersweet to write about the final chapter, but I will do the best I can to honor the series I love. This is going to be a very long one. Also a lot of screaming.
Now, please, if you want to wait until the official translation releases on Sunday, PLEASE TURN AWAY NOW! Save this post and come back to it on Sunday when everyone has read the chapter. I will be using spoiler hashtags for this, so if you end up spoiling yourself because of my post, that's on you. THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING:
Here we go. We first start off with our Final Color page for the series! It's a gorgeous double-page spread featuring all Class 1-A (Now 2-A) kids that we've grown to know and love throughout the past 10 years including Shinso, Aizawa, and All Might of course. Izuku Midoriya AKA Deku, our beautiful MC who I will miss with all my heart and soul 💚, is leading the page and his friends towards the bright future they all fought so hard for. It's a wonderful way to conclude the series and I will make sure to get a high-quality version of it to use as my computer wallpaper.
The final chapter is titled "My Hero Academia" because of course it is 🥹. This was truly My Hero Academia.
OH FUCK WE GET A TIME SKIP TO THE FUTURE SOMEONE HOLD ME 😭
KOTA IS THE THE UA HERO COURSE AND IZUKU IS HIS TEACHER IT'S SO PERFECT FOR HIM!!!💚😭 I BET MR. AIZAWA AND ALL MIGHT WERE BIG INSPIRATIONS FOR HIM TO TAKE THIS PATH 🥹
IT'S ONLY BEEN 1 PAGE AND THIS CHAPTER HAS ALREADY ENDED ME IT'S SO JOEVER FUCK
BTW, Deku is saying a more optimistic version of the "Not all men are born equal" narration he told us at the beginning of the very first chapter of the series. Very nice way of bringing the story full circle.
Ok, the next 2 pages have a lot of things in them, so I'm going to try to sum it up as best as I can:
Izuku finally came home to see his mother, Inko, at their apartment and she looks happy 💚
All Might is out of his wheelchair and helping old Gran Tarino walk with a cane (how he still survived I have no idea).
All the kids running in their gym clothes in what looks like their second Sports Festival (god, what I'd give to see that in its entirety).
Miriko is very happy with her new prosthetics including one that looks like the Bullet Bill from the Super Mario series.
The kids struggling taking either mid-terms or finals written tests. Bakugo is still using his left arm to write, so I assume his right arm is still barely usable.
Shoji and Kota shaking some prominent mutant's hand I assume from their contributions towards the war.
Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods working together as usual!
Tokoyama meeting up with Hawks.
KOTA AND ERI HOLDING HANDS AND GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL WITH MADALAY'S APPROVAL THAT'S SO FUCKING CUTE 😭❤️🤍
Endeavor being followed around by his sidekicks and Hawks.
Aizawa and Present Mic visiting what I bet is Shirakumo's grave 😢
The fan translator says that the kids finally meet Melissa from the first MHA movie! We don't see her face, but I'll take what they say is truth.
Spinner's book selling and Compress reading it in jail.
Bakugo going through rehab to get his right arm back!
Deku and Ochako spending time in the snow.
OUR KID'S GRADUATION OH MY GOD MOST OF THEM ARE 18 THERE AND THEY'RE OFFICIALLY PRO HEROES I'M SO FUCKING PROUD OF THEM 😭❤️ Interesting though since none of them really look much older except for maybe Iida and Shoto, but it's hard to tell from the scans. And Bakugo and Monoma keep the crazy graduation tradition of blowing things up as their goodbye present to UA!
And finally, we see the embers of One For All slowly fade away in Izuku's hand until there's nothing left...
Oh, god. The time skip takes place 8 YEARS in the future geez. So, if this is 8 years since we left the kids in Class 2-A, they would be about 24-25 years old now damn. We're actually going to see them all grown up that's crazy.
The next page shows us a middle school class very similar to how we saw Deku and Bakugo at the very beginning of the series. The teacher asks them what they want to do in the future and we get to see small glimpses of other characters now such as Hatsume who has her own lab (go, girl!), and LaBrava who seems to own a company with Gentle!
The main kid we focus on in this class is Dai, the young boy with dark blue-ish dotted hair who was looking at the All Might statue in Kamino before the first war started (I don't blame you for forgetting; I had to look him up too). He says he wants to be a hero, but everyone else says that his Quirk is too weak for him to become one. Despite that, he still goes to the All Might statue (which sounds like has been rebuilt) for inspiration. Sound familiar? 🤔
Next we see Shoji accepting a prestigious award for his efforts in resolving mutant prejudice-based incidents! He looks SO BULKY HOLY SHIT DUDE 😳 And his hair got longer to the point of putting it in a ponytail! Also, Koda and the glue Class 1-B kid (I think his name is Bondo or something) are there to congratulate him too! I bet you that Shoji making it to the top 10 in the final popularity poll helped Horikoshi give him a little spotlight and it's a good way of following up on what happened after his bout in the Final War.
Next up, we see Ochako, Tsuyu, Momo, and Iida visiting schools across the country! Ochako has also set up a Quirk Counseling expansion project that's become one of the most essential things in the future society!
Ok:
1: It's hard to tell with Iida, but the girls all look slightly older especially with their hair being a little longer.
2: Their future costumes look great! It's not a 100% match to what we saw in Endeavor's vision, but it's still great! Iida's armor got more detail to them; Tsuyu's frog goggles got gogglier?; Momo is finally coving up her cleavage and showing less exposed skin took you 10 years, but you finally got there, Horikoshi; and Ochako's got updated headwear, the two dots on her outfit are side-by-side instead of on top of each other, and her collar thing looks similar to Deku's hero mask which I know was intentional.
3: Good for Ochako for doing something about Quirk Counseling. Definitely inspired by what happened with Himiko Toga. I hope this means that we won't have another incident like Toga had and that kids are now able to get help with their Quirks as opposed to being villainized. I hope Ochako's making good money out of this too for her family like she originally intended.
We also see a teenage Eri going to her music club with a guitar on her back! She has a normal girl's sailor uniform, so my best guess is that she's either still in middle school (I think she would be 14-15 at this point) or she's not in UA like a lot of us thought. Either way, she wants to pursue music instead of Hero work so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't go to UA at all. It also looks like her horn did fully grow back, but whether her Rewind Quirk still works the same is up in the air.
And we see that Mr. Aizawa is still working at UA, BUT HE CUT HIS HAIR SHORT 😭 WHY DID YOU CUT HIS BEAUTIFUL, LONG LOCKS, HORIKOSHI??? OF ALL THE PHYSICAL CHANGES YOU GIVE OUR CHARACTERS THIS IS THE MOST DEVASTATING 😭
*BREATHS* But, he shows Deku and us a video of Bakugo SCREAMING AT A CIVILIAN FOR FILMING HIM TOO CLOSELY 😂😭 PLEASE NEVER CHANGE, KATSUKI BAKUGO 🧡 I'm also really glad he still got to be a Pro Hero despite his injuries.
AND NOW WE SEE MY SWEET FAVORITE BOY, SHOTO TODOROKI WHO CUT HIS HAIR A LITTLE SHORTER!!! I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS, I LIKE HIM BETTER WITH SHORT HAIR AND STILL LOOKS LIKE THE BEAUTIFUL PRETTY BOY HE ALWAYS WAS! STAY PRETTY, SHOTO!!! 🩵
Anyway, Shoto patrols day and night and is very nice to his fans! Kind king 👑! He's also become his own man to the public now as he's barley called "Endeavor's Son" anymore. That's a real relief because I know for a fact that that was haunting him for years. Also, there's a chance he'll pass Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and even Mirio in the rankings! I'm so proud of my fave! 🩵❄️🔥
GAH! I'm actually hitting a world limit here! I have to make a Part 2!

I see your rank about water based quirks, and it's quite interesting because I've commented the same thing on reddit before and people seem to agree on the fact water quirks have little representation of MHA.
Not only because they are portrayed as way weaker that any other elemental quirk, but usually pure water quirks (not ice ones) only belong to minor and diposable character.
You have:
-Manual "the normal hero" which is sort of a joke character which most prominent moment was keep Aizawa and Monoma's eyes hydratated.
-The firefighter hero from the first episode which I don't think appears ever again and he's only there to extinsguish fire.
-Kota parents are dead imao, and Kota himself is just a child so his quirk doesn't really come into play.
-There was an unnamed villain in the USJ attack who controls water but he's fooder.
While other elemental quirks have a lot of characters which are depicted as really overpower by MHA standards. For example:
-Fire has Endeavor, Dabi and Bakugou to an extent. Self explanatory in this case.
-Air has Inasa, who was probably the most powerful student of his generation before any quirk awakening bs from Class A. Inasa even was stopping Sad Man Parade by himself at one point.
-Earth has Cementoss who was described as op in urban enviorenments, Shindo who is way more powerful than people give him credit for, and if we count metal here Wolfram from the first movie was a really powerful fighter.
So yeah, the difference between water with the rest of the elements is kinda big. Even ice users aren't treated as particulary powerful in the story.
Geten needed to train his whole life without go to school and have a quirk awakening but had problems with a Dabi who was holding back, and he lose against Cementoss for some reason despite there wasn't concrete during their battle.
Shoto is a special case, because notice how the story always treats his fire side as the real powerhouse and not his ice. I mean even Endeavor thinks on the ice quirk as just a way to baypass the overheat rather than a power Shoto can make shine on it's own, isn't that ironic? The ice in Shoto is just a patch for the weakness of his strong side, not this perfect balance between elements.
Perhaps the only truly badass water quirk user we have (despite he's treated as fooder as well) is the nameless leader of the Cider House gang.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seriously I love this guy for some reason. His design and quirk are awesome, and he's such a fun minor villain.
Wish we had more content of him and his real name, despite calling him Cider is funny.
Hi @nyc3
So before I answer your ask...let me ask you this: where is the others' healing quirks? Is R.G the only one who has this quirk? Bc if so that raises some questions...so are all the doctors quirkless? I´m especualting here as Hori has no desire to do worldbuilding but if we take this as true...then Izu could have been a doctor.
"Quirkless doctors face discrimination" its something I can see someone saying IF the quirkless are the doctors and this is so supremely dumb. I don't think quirkless discrimination IS a thing in the text, what we have is IZU BEING ABUSED.
Now as for the question...yeah, people in MHA prefer quirks that are stronger, fire IS strong...but then again, on the same wavelength, they don´t care to know more about quirks (Izu is seen as the odd ball for analyzing quirks when this should be the obvious, everyone should have a quirk analyst)
Endy wanted a child from a woman whose quirk is ice. Still, he looks down on water type quirks...while yes, he did that to make sure his kid has a cool off system in him for the fire (HIS PLAN IS SO DUMB HOLY SHIT). I ask, ignoring the implications, if he wants to do a quirk marriage and thinks FIRE is the best, why not marry someone who already has a quirk?
Water is seen as weak and I don´t get why. Maybe Hori has some bias on the power scale.
Wind is something Inasa has but... let's be real, Inasa is an ass in canon. He is an Endy´s fanboy and hates Shoto bc Endy didn´t smile at Inasa...entitled fan much? (I HATE HOW PEOPLE MAKE IZU BE THE CREEPY FAN WHEN WE DO HAVE CANON CREEPY FANS)
Hori doesn't seem to care to make powers interesting...nor consistent.
Look at BK, how many quirk awakenings this asshole had?
To make this short, I believe is not about the power, is how you use...and no one in mha wants to think outside the box.
(on that note, why Toga is the only one who has a transformative quirk?)

The Clusterfuck That Was the UA Press Conference
The press conference held in the aftermath of the Forest Training Camp Attack was promising, namely because UA was receiving valid criticism from the media in regards to how many kids were put in danger. Bakugou's behavior was also being criticized (for once, what a miracle), and the heroes were acknowledging how they'd become complacent in the era of relative peace that were living through.
But like almost everything else in this series, the execution left a lot to be desired in my opinion.
The media and public are painted as the bad guys for having legitimate grievances against UA's management and actions, and UA and the faculty are painted as being wrongly persecuted just because.
WARNING: anti Bakugou and anti Aizawa content incoming. Don't like, don't read.
1. Why was the media criticizing Aizawa for ALLOWING the kids to fight?
If anything, they should have been criticizing him and the teachers for NOT allowing them to fight until well over halfway into the attack (they could have found out from some of the students there). At that point in time, it was pretty obvious that the students were the targets of the attack, so why in the FUCK would you not allow them to defend themselves? Had Izuku not intervened with Muscular, he and Kota - a FIVE YEAR OLD - would have DIED. If those kids didn't fight back, THEY would have died (which is another complaint of mine - this would have been the perfect way to raise the stakes of the story and address the character bloat it suffers from).
2. How exactly did UA explain all of this to the parents of the students? And what exactly are these "safety measures" that the school brought up?
You can't possibly make me believe that parents weren't withdrawing their kids from UA after this (it's also one of my complaints about the dorm system), first year or not. In addition, the issue is that these attacks are happening OFF SCHOOL GROUNDS. How the fuck is increasing patrols around campus going to help? It should have been brought up that the LoV used the Sports Festival to plan out their attack, since UA did receive criticism for holding it so soon after the USJ attack to save face against the villains. I also love how they said none of the students appeared to be traumatized by the attack (we also don't see this supposed counseling that was offered to them), as if trauma responses don't vary.
3A. As is the case for the story as a whole, Bakugou's behavior is completely side stepped over.
I do like how the reporter brought up the fact that the League saw Bakugou's behavior as an indicator that he'd be the perfect villain. He brings up his attitude at the Sports Festival (something fucking NEDZU brought up earlier), and criticizes Aizawa for not reining him in. But then we get the famous Aizawa sermon about how "no guys, Bakugou's like this because he works so much harder than anyone else to be the Number 1 Hero!!!" The reporter does call bs and say that he asked for measures to control his behavior and not his own personal feelings on the matter, but so much fucking more could have been done. Bakugou's bullying in middle school could have been revealed (they could have interviewed his ex friends), as could his less than desirable behavior during his internship with Best Jeanist (since he was out in public). This could have brought heat onto Aldera as well for not doing anything to curb his behavior.
3B. Aizawa's clear bias towards Bakugou and his failings as a teacher are unaddressed.
So what, he believes that the rest of 1A doesn't work as hard as Bakugou apparently does, and isn't afraid to say so on live TV? The reporter could have called out Aizawa for this, especially in how he said the Pro-Heroes who criticized his attitude towards Uraraka should RETIRE and stop being heroes. For that matter, word could have gotten out about his abnormally high expulsion record and how it ruined the lives of so many ex students of his. For that matter, the class that Aizawa expelled and re-enrolled could have gone on record saying that they know their careers are effectively ruined, seeing as how the expulsion is staying on their permanent records. The reporter could have asked why he's staking so much on a student who is obviously a red-flag when he's expelled students for much less in the past.
4. Nedzu letting all of this happen unchecked wasn't addressed.
I like Nedzu. I think he's an interesting character, but for a supposed genius, he makes a LOT of stupid decisions. Why in the WORLD would he let Aizawa have the final say in expelling whoever he wants based on "potential" and "giving them a taste of death"? How has this not created any sort of villains or vigilantes? How has this not resulted in public blowback against UA from other hero schools poaching these expelled students?

Okay I wrote this like.... a month ago and since IT JUST FITS WITH THE ENDING OF MHA I'LL JUST POST IT
HEAR ME OUTTTT SCOTT STREET BY PHEOBE BRIDGERS FITS SM WITH IZUKU AND KATSUKI IF EVER IZUKU WONT BE A HERO!!! This could be romantic or platonic either is okay. I haven't posted anything I've written in years BUT PLS SEE MY VISION I CAN SEE ITS POTENTIALLLLL!!!!!!
"Walking Scott Street, feeling like a stranger. With an open heart, open container" is as he walks in the familiar streets of when HE used to patrol as a hero in training in UA.
"I've got a stack of mail and a tall can. It's a shower beer, it's a payment plan" for plot purposes, he's out for a drink and meeting his friend, I think we know who it is.
"There's helicopters over my head. Every night when I go to bed" THIS COULD be literal like he could be living in the city and crimes happen with heroes saving the day hence the helicopters for media or rescue, he sees it everyday. OR it could be a metaphor of some sorts like thoughts of WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN IF HE STILL HAD A QUIRK and it keeps him awake at night.
"Spending money and I earned it. When I'm lonely, that's when I'll burn it." It's a fanfic, SO LETS SAY HE GOT MONEY FOR LITERALLY SAVING JAPAN AND HE'S ONLY A TEEN HELLO??? He deserves it of course, set for life or let's just say he has money for whatever reason I can think of (maybe he pursued in the support/educational department like Aizawa and still helps heroes except in his heart he really wants to go pro). And that's when he's lonely, he misses the past OFA users always there behind his back and he never forget how that felt, and just the feeling, the thrilling ways of how his body moves whenever he is out and fighting to do what he loves, to save and protect. And then finally, he meets up with his rival, childhood friend and the closest person he could ever confide or ever think of. They're drinking (adults & aged up ofc), just talking about their lives, I imagine they would do this every once in a while. After the war, trauma and other shit they had to deal with IN THEIR FIRST YEAR OF UA (They all deserve the best I love Class 1-A) and with Midoriya leaving behind the hero life, the two felt like they couldn't just let it go just like that. So they meet up and keep that bond they strengthened after everything they've been through, even ALMOST DYING for each other. They do this regularly, Bakugou is still catching up to him just in different ways. And they talk about the past, it's nostalgic. He doesn't expect it as the memory of their... not so pleasant relationship before has resurfaced. Sometimes it randomly just comes up and he can't help but think of it.
"Do you feel ashamed, when you hear my name?" And he knows Bakugou wouldn't, they are far past that and consider the other the closest person they could attach themselves to. But he also knows Bakugou is not proud of how he treated him before and the fact he had to leave the hero life so early on, when he just got a taste of it only for it to be taken from him and that was the longest and simultaneously the fastest year of his life.
"I asked you, "How is your sister? I heard she got her degree" I know, Bakugou doesn't have a sister. BUT LETS IMAGINE MAHORO AND KATSUMA IS CLOSE TO BAKUGOU AFTER THE MOVIE AND THEY KEPT IN TOUCH SKDBKDBDKE (I've considered Eri and Kota but I think these two are just closer to Midoriya). Of course, Midoriya could also be close to them, but for the fanfics sake let's say he hasn't checked on them in a while, and that our babygirl graduated or something!!
"And I said, "That makes me feel old" You said, "What does that make me?" Then they share a laugh, because they realize that both of them are old. Older than high school. They aren't young anymore, and they have lives to live. His friends are all pros and living their dreams, high up in the hero ranks. He could've been there.
"I asked you, "How is playing drums?" You said, "It's too much shit to carry"..."And what about the band?"...You said, "They're all getting married"" OKAY THIS??? THIS COULD BE 1A OR THE BAKUSQUAD UEJEHFJSHJDD BECAUSE TECHNICALLY THEY WERE IN A BAND (Sports Festival) and they both know who he's talking about, or maybe it's an inside joke among their batch to call them a band, or they really did have a band and kept playing every sports festival once they became upperclassmen, it's up to you. And then they just reminisce about their highschool days, the good ones. And Midoriya, he feels emotional, choked up and longing.
"Do you feel ashamed, when you hear my name?" And Bakugou knows even if he doesn't glance at the green haired man beside him, he knows what he's thinking even if he doesn't say it as he takes a sip of his drink, knowing each other like the back of their hand, reading like an open book. He literally died for him. Bakugou pats his back, or maybe a hand on his shoulder. Just something, and Midoriya immediately knows he shouldn't worry.
"Anyway, don't be a stranger. Don't be a stranger." And they won't, they never were. They were always there, from childhood to present, they could never be a stranger to the other.
I jinxed myself bcs this was literally sitting in my drafts for a month... SHOULD I REWRITE IT TO FIT THE ACTUAL SPOILERS? Or nah

Hi back because I just realized your pd comment in that pinned post is extra accurate; The Greats are a very important group of people for the third player character Vyncent (Even if it's never explained well >:c /lh)- so I guess that makes the pd trio late, great, and uhmmm... whatever 'kota is? Late Great and COLE STYLE maybe...
LOLLL I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
so William's the Late, Vyncent's the Great, and 'Kota is COLE STYLE???? heckkkkk yeah, now we're talkin'
time to rev el engines and binge a bunch of pd once school's out
*points at u* best connector of fandom dots right here

Hi Im in soft hours. 🥰But I think about how it would be when K would hold his son in his arms for the first time. (I hope you don't mind the question but I'm getting my period soon and I always have a baby fever).🥰 I also believe that K will be such a good father. He is so amazing. He is also so sweet to the younger members and he has also been taking care of taki for 3 years. 🥰🤩😘💖💗💝
omgggg K's hands would be like a waterfall- just like his eyes. He'll be squirming and squeaking the entire time from his utter adoration for his son. A cute little kid version of K sleeping soundly in his huge hands, his brain system would literally shut down from his overflowing love and excitement for his son.
(gurl- idk how like this period thing is fucking acting like a bluetooth device because I'm on my period right now ToT)
Yesss K will literally be the best father ever. He would do ANYTHING for his little kiddo and his wife ofc. Mans would be using his duality to the maximum too. Would be the kids' inspirational idol papa but also the caring, clingy, lovey dovey stay-at-home dad. Would literally cry out a whole river whenever he gets calls from his members or managers to come to the company for practise or when he must go on tours or concerts; poor papa K don't wanna leave his mini-versions. He'd just wanna cling to them all day, let them do whatever and play along with each and every one of their little tricks, with a sweet honey-like smile on his face.
Over-protective asfff over his kiddos too. Son or daughter, doesn't matter, mans would come running to school with an intimitading ass face as soon as he hears that one of his kids get into a fight or got bullied. Would scare the living shit out of the bullies. And would always stand strong and take his kids side - even if they're at fault? yes. Mans would blame it on the other children with a shameless proud sassy face.
Kids definitely get their sassiness from their dad. Ever since early age, you could pick up obvious signs of your kids doing the 'iconic K sassy walk' and the sassy faces all copy pasted from their dad. You would just laugh it off- not a single complain until these little cuties decide to use this against you in a scolding section.
"Kota! Tell me exactly why your grades are low!", an eye-roll from the boy and his sister sticking out her tongue at you, backing her brother up. These kids, learnt wayyyy too much from their dad. You'd have them kneeling on the balcony while you start your iconic asian mom lecture section and that's when your husband comes running in. This mans can be strict with ANYONE ELSE except his own kids. Would take their side even against you and would spoil them to oblivion. "Wifeyyy! It's not his fault that he can't handle all the hard homeworks.", the kids regaining the brightening lights on their faces as they stood proud behind their protective dad. Oh but don't think their little ganging-up on you would work. You're a well-trained asian mom for a good reason.
The next thing you know, K is kneeling on the floor in front of you along with the two other children who are now side-eyeing him in disappointment almost saying - "seriously dad- thought we were getting out of trouble" - "Well, since it's SOOO HARD for poor Kota, why don't YOU do HIS homework huh, Mr Koga?" And thats how now K is gripping at his hair, scratching his forehead as he tried to figure out the answers of little Kota's homeworks. Oh and the kids? Oh no you wouldn't have let them off that easily. They're kneeling beside their dad, reading out their textbooks aloud for who knows how many times.
Addicted with squishing cheeks. It just so happens that K's mini-versions have the squishiest, puffiest cheeks in the world and OMG this man just would not stop with the squishing and squeezing. 24/7 his hands are on those cheeks.

"For long periods of time, the Sámi lifestyle thrived because of its adaptation to the Arctic environment. Indeed, throughout the 18th century, as Norwegians of Northern Norway suffered from low fish prices and consequent depopulation, the Sámi cultural element was strengthened, since the Sámi were mostly independent of supplies from Southern Norway.
During the 19th century, the pressure of Christianization of the Sámi increased, with some Sámi adopting Laestadianism. With the introduction of seven compulsory years of school in 1889, the Sámi language and traditional way of life came increasingly under pressure from forced cultural normalization. Strong economic development of the north also ensued, giving Norwegian culture and language higher status
On the Swedish and Finnish sides, the authorities were less militant, although the Sámi language was forbidden in schools and strong economic development in the north led to weakened cultural and economic status for the Sámi. From 1913 to 1920, the Swedish race-segregation political movement created a race-based biological institute that collected research material from living people and graves. Throughout history, Swedish settlers were encouraged to move to the northern regions through incentives such as land and water rights, tax allowances, and military exemptions
The strongest pressure took place from around 1900 to 1940, when Norway invested considerable money and effort to assimilate Sámi culture. Anyone who wanted to buy or lease state lands for agriculture in Finnmark had to prove knowledge of the Norwegian language and had to register with a Norwegian name. This partly caused the dislocation of Sámi people in the 1920s, which increased the gap between local Sámi groups (something still present today) that sometimes has the character of an internal Sámi ethnic conflict. Another example of forced displacement occurred between 1919 and 1920 in Norway and Sweden. This has been the topic of a recent work of journalism by Sámi author Elin Anna Labba, translated into English in 2023 under the title The Rocks Will Echo Our Sorrow: The Forced Displacement of the Northern Sámi.
In 1913, the Norwegian parliament passed a bill on "native act land" to allocate the best and most useful lands to Norwegian settlers. Another factor was the scorched earth policy conducted by the German army, resulting in heavy war destruction in northern Finland and northern Norway in 1944–45, destroying all existing houses, or kota, and visible traces of Sámi culture. After World War II, the pressure was relaxed, though the legacy was evident into recent times, such as the 1970s law limiting the size of any house Sámi people were allowed to build
The controversy over the construction of the hydro-electric power station in Alta Municipality in 1979 brought Sámi rights onto the political agenda. In August 1986, the national anthem ("Sámi soga lávlla") and flag (Sámi flag) of the Sámi people were created. In 1989, the first Sámi parliament in Norway was elected. In 2005, the Finnmark Act was passed in the Norwegian parliament giving the Sámi parliament and the Finnmark Provincial council a joint responsibility of administering the land areas previously considered state property. These areas (96% of the provincial area), which have always been used primarily by the Sámi, now belong officially to the people of the province, whether Sámi or Norwegian, and not to the Norwegian state"
