Playing Pretend - Jamie Drysdale
Tumblr media
Summary: In which Jamie and his girlfriend end things after pretending everything was okay. Or in which Jamie's girlfriend moves in with Trevor while attempting to keep her pregnancy hidden from everyone.
content: pregnancy, mentions of abortion, long distance, keeping secrets from partner (if that's a warning idk), angst, fluff, mentions of sex, implications of cheating/being unfaithful, jamie's trade :(
notes: this one is a bit more angsty than my other fics. i wanted to experiment with trying something new. possible happy ending tho. guess you'll have to read to find out ;) sorry if it seems rushed, i didn't know how to format it :/
"Of course, you have options. You can read more about those here. This is a judgement free zone," the nurse continued to drone on about scheduling another appointment, but Violet had tuned her out. In fact, the only thing that Violet could hear was her heart pounding in her chest.
"Thank you," she mumbled, grabbing the paperwork and shoving it into her purse. All she wanted was Jamie and he was on the other side of the country.
Once she was safely in her car in the parking lot, she let the tears fall. A baby? How was she supposed to take care of a baby when her boyfriend lived five hours away by plane. They barely spoke more than twice a week at this point. Their relationship was falling apart and a baby wasn't going to save it.
"How was the doctor?" Trevor asked as she walked through the door, kicking off her shoes.
"Fine. Just food poisoning, like you thought."
"I told you! Never eat grocery store sushi, Vi. Should've listened to me."
"Ha. I guess you know best, Trev. I'm gonna go lie down. I'm still nauseous."
"Make sure you text Jamie! He was worried about you."
"I'm sure he was," she mumbled, making her way to her bedroom. She looked at the picture on her bedside table. It was of her and Jamie at his first game with the Ducks. She'd been so proud to see him move from the Gulls to the NHL. He had his arm wrapped around her waist and was looking down at her like she'd hung the moon and stars in the sky, while she smiled happily into the camera. Violet sighed, putting the photo face down. She couldn't bare to look at Jamie's face right now, photo or not.
Her phone buzzed.
Jamie <3: Trev texted. Said it's food poisoning like he thought. Feel better. I love you
Vi: Thanks, Jam. Love you too
Lying to Jamie made her stomach churn. In fact, everything was making her stomach churn at the moment. Trevor had made sausages with his breakfast that morning, leading to her projectile vomiting in the kitchen. Which is when Trevor finally convinced her to go to a walk-in clinic. A walk-in clinic that sent her to Planned Parenthood. And now at the thought of Jamie not knowing about his child mixed with the baby in her womb hating the smell of everything, she was leaned over the toilet once more.
"Vi? Do you want some ginger ale?" Trevor asked from the doorway.
"No. I'm okay, Trev. Just, I- I'd like to be alone right now."
"Oh, right. Call me if you need anything," he sighed, gently shutting the door behind him.
Violet sniffled, reaching for her phone on the counter next to her.
Jamie was worried sick about Violet, but he was also focused on the game of NHL 24 he was playing with Cam.
"Wait. Time out. Violet's texting."
"Oh, shit. What'd she say?"
"That... that we need to talk?" Jamie furrowed his eyebrows.
"Shit. We can finish this later. Call her."
"Thanks, Cam. I- I'll be back," Jamie stood up from the couch, albeit a bit wobbly from nerves, speeding off to his room.
"Hey," Violet's voice cracked as it broke through the speaker of his phone.
"Hey, um, what did you wanna talk about?"
"Long distance isn't working, Jamie. I- I think we should end things."
"What? Vi? Where is this coming from? Did- did you meet someone in Anaheim?"
"What? God, no. Jamie- I wouldn't cheat. You know that. I just- this is too much stress for me right now."
"Our relationship is too much stress for you? I- I told you that you could move here. We could get our own place. I-"
"Jamie, I have a life here. I have a job. My friends."
"I had all of that too. But, I- I'm making it work here. You could make it work here, Violet! Please don't do this. You- you're the love of my life."
"Jamie, don't make this harder than it needs to be. I can't do this anymore."
"Please, Violet. Please."
"We- if you need anything call Trevor. Goodbye, Jamie."
Jamie didn't return to his game with Cam; he spent the rest of the night crying himself to sleep on his bed.
"You broke up with Jamie?!" Trevor shouted the next morning, waking up an exhausted Violet.
"Trevor? It's 6 in the morning."
"Yeah? Well Jamie just called me in tears, saying that you dumped him OVER THE PHONE?!"
"We're long distance. How else was I supposed to do it?"
"You weren't supposed to do it at all, Violet! You guys are made for each other! What's with this sudden change of heart?"
"We were barely talking anymore. I need a present boyfriend."
"Vi-"
"Drop it, Trevor! It's frankly none of your business!"
"None of my bus-"
Violet gagged, leaning over and puking on the hardwood floor. She looked up at Trevor, wiping her mouth.
"Get me a paper towel, please."
"Right. Um, right... This conversation isn't over."
He returned with a roll of paper towels. Watching as she pulled herself out of bed, to clean up the mess next to her bed.
"Why'd you break up with him?"
"I just told you. It wasn't working."
"But, you didn't even try to make it work. He said you didn't communicate it wasn't going well until yesterday."
"Wow. Does Jamie tell you every intimate part of our relationship?" she snapped.
"No."
"It was rhetorical, Trevor."
"Oh. He loves you."
"I know."
"Do you not love him?"
"What? Of course I love him. He's the fa- the first man I loved. I'll always love him."
"Then why break up with him?! He- he said you could go live with him in Philly."
"I don't want to leave Anaheim. I want to r- never mind. But, my job is here."
"Get a new one."
"God! You're so immature! It's not that fucking easy, Trevor! I'm not going to start my entire life over for Jamie! So fucking drop it!"
"I-"
"Drop it!"
Trevor dropped it. At least with Violet he did. He spent every day trying to convince Jamie to call her. To fix things. To figure what he could do. Jamie wasn't easily convinced though. After the mental anguish that the phone call with his now ex-girlfriend had caused him, he wasn't sure he wanted to go through it again.
Violet's morning sickness hadn't ended. In fact, it was getting worse. Morning sickness? More like all day and all night sickness. She was in agony. And Trevor as oblivious as he was, was getting suspicious.
"Maybe you should go to the doctor again? I don't think food poisoning is supposed to last this long."
"It's probably just stress."
"Why're you stressed?"
"Work."
"But- okay? I still think you should go back."
"Trevor."
"Yes?"
"I'm fine."
"You're pretending."
"What?"
"You're pretending everything is okay. You're just afraid to admit that things are worse without Jamie. Not better. You're more stressed. Hence the vomiting."
"Trevor, I- I have work to do."
Two hours later Violet was in the kitchen doing dishes when her phone started ringing.
"Trev! Can you get that?"
"Sure."
"Hi! This is Alice from Anaheim OB/GYN, I was just calling to confirm your appointment on Friday with Dr. Rhodes," the voice came through the phone.
"Trev! Who is it?"
"Sure, just let me get the phone to Violet. Oh, perfect! Thank you!"
"Hi?" Violet asked, pressing the phone to her ear.
"Hi! Is this Violet?"
"Yes, this is she."
"Perfect! Just a few questions to go over before confirming your appointment."
"Oh, of course."
"Any abnormal bleeding?"
"No."
"Dizziness?"
"Nope."
"How's the nausea you mentioned last time you were in?"
"About the same."
"Okay, I'll let the nurse know. We can get you some tablets for that. See you Friday at 11:30."
"Perfect, thank you."
Violet sighed, hanging up the phone.
"You're pregnant?" Trevor whispered.
"What? No."
"She said she was calling from the OB/GYN's office. Isn't that a doctor for pregnant people?"
"Not always. They also give birth control and stuff."
"But why would you need birth control if you're not seeing Jamie anymore?"
"For my periods."
"You're lying."
"I'm not lying, Trevor. Why would I lie?"
"You're lying. You always itch your wrist when you lie. You're pregnant. Does Jamie know?"
"Maybe it isn't Jamie's?"
"Yeah? Who else have you slept with? Nobody. You and Jamie had sex the night before we left for Nashville."
"Who told you that?"
"Jamie."
"Ew. I-"
"So it is Jamie's?"
"I'm not pregnant."
"Violet... is this why you dumped him? Are you getting... you know?"
"Not pregnant, Trevor."
"Fine, I'll drop it for now. But, if you were pregnant, I, um, I'd be here to help. I promise."
"Good to know if I am to hypothetically get pregnant," she mumbled, itching her wrist. Trevor let out a heavy sigh.
"You- you can tell me anything, Violet. I'm not going to tell Jamie if you don't want me to."
"You said you were gonna drop it. Plus there's nothing to tell him. Everything is normal."
"Right, um, I'm going out. Call if you need anything for your... food poisoning."
"Will do."
When she finally heard the front door shut, she let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. The tension in the kitchen had been palpable. She knew deep down that Trevor didn't believe her, but until she was showing she'd be able to hide it... maybe.
A month had passed and Violet was shocked to find that it looked like she was bloated. Violet had always been on the thinner side, but not to the point that she thought she'd be showing this early into her pregnancy. The doctors had confirmed that she was just over a month when she found out, meaning she was nearing three months. Baggy clothes became her new best friends. Unfortunately, most of the baggy clothing she owned were items she'd stolen from Jamie. This led to lots of looks from Trevor as she moved around their apartment.
Trevor now knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that Violet was pregnant. He'd gone into her bathroom to find some extra toilet paper and come across an array of prenatal vitamins. He didn't bring it up though. The apartment constantly had an air of awkwardness shrouding it. Violet and Trevor were tip-toeing around each other. And he knew that eventually he would have to be the bigger person and bring it up, which was uncommon for the Ducks player.
"I was talking to Jamie today," Trevor mentioned as he twirled some spaghetti onto his fork.
"Hm. How's Jamie?"
"Better. He, uh, he still asks about you."
"Good for him."
"I'm sure if you told him... about your situation, he'd be willing to help."
"What situation?" Violet smiled, taking a sip of her water.
"Can we stop pretending, Violet?"
She shook her head, pushing away from the small kitchen table.
"God! Grow up, Violet! You're going to be a mom! Start acting like a fucking adult!" Trevor shouted as she retreated to her room, that Trevor had not-so-lovingly nicknamed "the cave." Her door slammed in response, shaking the pictures hanging in the corridor.
"Hey, girl!" her best friend, Aly, smiled through the FaceTime call. "How're those vitamins? One of the moms I work with says they're the best ones!"
"Good, I think. I've got a little bump now."
"Damn! Baby Drysdale is growingggg!" she dragged out.
"Don't call them that. He- I still haven't told him."
"Girl! You told me you were going to like a week ago! What changed?"
"He- I saw him on Instagram and he looked so happy. I don't want to ruin that."
"So... you're just gonna wallow in self-pity until your baby is born? What about when he sees you with a baby? Isn't he gonna be suspicious?"
"He already accused me of cheating. So..."
"Violet! No! We are not claiming you cheated and got pregnant from another man."
"Jamie's not ready to be a dad."
"Who told you that? Jamie?"
"No."
"Exactly. You don't know that!"
"I'll think about it, Aly. Right now, the doctor said I need to avoid too much stress. It makes my nausea worse."
"Uh huh. Lemme tell you about this date I went on!"
"Do you think Violet would be okay if I came to visit?" Jamie asked Trevor.
"Um... I mean you're coming to see me. It has nothing to do with her."
"I guess, you're right. I'll get a hotel though. I don't want to intrude on her space."
"Her space is also my space, Jamie."
"Yeah, but she's my... ex. It'd feel weird. Is she, um, seeing anyone new?"
"Violet?" Trevor choked on his water, "No. No. She's been busy with... work."
"Makes sense."
"What about you? Any new women in your life?"
"No. I just compare them all to Vi."
"When you come, maybe you can get some closure. Talk to her."
"If she lets me."
"If she lets you," Trevor smiled, continuing to help his best friend plan his trip.
Six months pregnant. Violet couldn't believe it. Her baby was the size of corn, according to Aly. It was hard to hide her ever growing bump, but Trevor's hoodies and some of Jamie's old clothes did the trick. She had no idea that Jamie was coming to visit. It was all part of Trevor's plan to get her to talk to him... and admit her pregnancy.
Trevor was buzzing as he walked Jamie up the stairs to their apartment.
"Violet did some redecorating, but it looks similar to when you left! She's still asleep, I think. She sleeps in on weekends."
"Not surprising," Jamie bit back his smile.
"Welcome back, bud!" Trevor swung open the door, leading his ex-teammate into his home. Jamie looked around, it was similar to when he left. A few pictures had been taken down and replaced with new ones, but it looked pretty much the same.
"Trev? Why are you shouting?" Violet questioned sleepily, rubbing a hand on her stomach. The baby had recently discovered how to kick and it was their new favourite hobby.
"Look who I brought home with me!" Trevor beamed.
"Jamie?" the girl suddenly looked much more awake, dropping her hands to her side.
"You... you're pregnant," was all Jamie could manage, staring directly at her stomach.
"Surprise?"
The group sat in the living room. Well, Trevor and Violet were sitting. Jamie was pacing around the room, running his hands through his hair.
"You're gonna go bald, Jimmy. Stop."
"She- you're pregnant?!"
"Yes. We established that, Jamie," Violet rolled her eyes.
"Yeah. Is it... is it mine?"
"Um..."
"Yes, the baby is yours, Jamie! Are you dumb?" Trevor furrowed his brow.
"You didn't tell me?! Neither of you?!"
"She... It wasn't my place."
"Yeah? What about you, Violet? What's your excuse?!"
"I- I didn't want to ruin your career."
"Ruin my career? No! You were just being selfish. Don't pretend this had anything to do with protecting me!" Jamie exclaimed.
"Jamie, can you sit down? You're stressing me out," she sighed, rubbing over where the baby was kicking repeatedly, sensing its mother's turmoil.
"Violet! We... we're having a baby."
"I'm having a baby."
God, she was just as stubborn as before.
"Z, can we have a minute?"
"Oh, sure," Trevor left and Jamie didn't speak until he heard the door close.
"Violet, this is serious. Why would you keep this from me? Is this why you ended things?" he asked, kneeling in front of her.
"Sort of. I panicked. I just, I don't want you to feel forced to stay because of us," she motioned to her belly.
"I... I still love you. A lot. God, I never stopped loving you."
"Jamie..."
"You... you can come live in Philly! We can fix us. And raise our baby. Be a happy family."
"I want to stay here."
"You... you can't keep my baby from me, Violet. Please," his eyes started to water, "Not any longer than you already have."
"He-"
"He? It's a boy?"
"Shit. Yeah."
"I'm going to have a son?" he smiled, the tears finally falling. Violet could feel her hormones acting up, her eyes also welling with tears.
"Henry."
"Hm?"
"I- I've been planning on naming him Henry."
"Henry. It's perfect, Vi. Can I?" he gestured to the swell of her stomach. She nodded, letting out a sob as his hands met the cotton of her shirt.
"Hi, Henry. It's your dad. I'm sorry I haven't been here. I- I don't blame Mommy. She did what she thought was best."
Violet continued to sob. Why was he being so sweet to her? She'd kept his son from him!
"Violet, can you just think about it? Please. Us and Henry in Philly."
"I can think about it, Jams," she cried, pulling him into a tight hug.
"Are you sure you built that right?" Violet asked for the fourth time, "I don't want him falling on the ground in the middle of the night."
"I followed the instructions, Vi. It's secure. He'll be fine."
"Are you sure? I just-"
Jamie cut her off with a kiss to her lips.
"I'm positive, love. Now stop worrying. Poor Henry is going to pop out early if you keep that up."
"I'd appreciate it if he did. He's been sitting on my bladder all day."
Jamie kneeled down in front of her, placing a hand where he saw the imprint of a foot kick.
"Can you move off Mommy's bladder? It makes her pissy. And Daddy doesn't want to deal with it right now."
"He's not listening. I need to pee," she waddled out of the nursery and into the ensuite. Jamie laughed, following her into their bedroom.
"You look good pregnant," Jamie commented as she emerged from the bathroom.
"Shut up. We're not having sex until this monster is out of me."
"He's not a monster!"
"He's giant! I can't breathe."
"Here," Jamie walked behind her, lifting up her stomach. She let out a long sigh of relief, the pressure being alleviated from her back.
"Thanks, Jams. I love you."
"I love you too," he smiled. Although they weren't the most stable couple on the planet, Jamie was just glad to have his girl back. And now he had his little boy too. He felt complete. And so did Violet. Complete and happy with their soon-to-be family of three.

homesick
trevor zegras and platonic jamie drysdale x fem! reader
warnings?: sad af tbh!, angst, cursing but ofc fluff
masterlist
-
“what?” you spoke into the phone.
“he picked up the phone and they told him he was going to philly in the morning. no warning or anything. completely blindsided.” trevor explains to you.
“i cannot believe that, is he okay?” you ask.
“he’s shocked, we all are.”
“i bet. i’m so sorry trevor.” you say trying to comfort your boyfriend.
“it’s okay, i just wish it wasn’t so sudden.”
“well, tell jamie i wish him the best and that ill miss making breakfast with him every morning.”
“you can call him, that feels too personal don’t wanna invade.” he forces a laugh.
“okay ill call him tomorrow. get back to your friends babe, try to have a good night okay?”
“okay i will, love you y/n.”
“love you trev, bye.”
“bye.” he hangs up. you sat staring off into space. your mind spinning uncontrollably. they just shipped off your boyfriends best friend. scratch that, your best friend, besides trevor of course. you turn on the tv to whatever was on distracting yourself from the thoughts invading your mind, clouding the good day you had. finally, you allow yourself to cry, knowing your last goodbye to jamie was truly your last and that he wouldn’t be returning.
“what the fuck.” you say crying more, wishing someone was around you could talk to. you say for hours lost in your thoughts, watching tv without paying any attention. at this point it was late enough so you took yourself to bed, heart heavy at the thought of having to call jamie in the morning. though falling asleep was easy, waking up was the worst feeling in the world. you picked up your phone quickly, scrolling through your contacts to find jamie’s name, hitting call. the phone only rang twice before he picked up.
“hello?” he says, voice sounding weak.
“hey jimmy, how are you feeling?”
“i’m okay, i’m in philly now. i’m getting ready to head to the rink. i’m a little nervous but i talked to cam and he reassured me.”
“good i’m glad, im gonna miss you so much jamie.”
“i miss you too y/n, gonna miss our early morning breakfast making.” he laughs softly, a bittersweet smile spreading on my face.
“yeah, yeah ill really miss that too. singing ‘unwritten’ will never be the same without you.”
“damn you’re right, listening to that song will never hit like it did when we were making pancakes every morning.”
“i’m gonna miss that so much, well i don’t wanna keep you for too long. call me if you need anything okay? i know this is gonna be tough.”
“i will, thank you y/n.”
“of course, bye jamie.”
“bye.” he says before hanging up. your heart sank at his tone but could sense his hopefullness that they wouldn’t give up on him like anaheim had.
-
you say on the couch, watching trevor play with a heavy heart. you could practically smell it through the tv. you’d spoken to him briefly but he avoided the topic of jamie, it was still a touchy subject for him. next thing you know, trevor falls, hitting the boards awkwardly.
“fuck.” you say, watching him unable to get up without assistance, your heart breaking all over again. the trainer escorted him to the locker room, the pit in your stomach growing larger.
“please be okay, please be okay.” you say sighing.
“trevor zegras will not return to tonight’s game.” you hear the commentators say, you sigh shutting your eyes, waiting for the phone to ring and almost on queue it begins.
“y/n?”
“trevor are you okay? what’s going on?”
“i don’t know i just fell and i did something and then i couldn’t skate off the ice and i-“
“trevor stop, slow down. take a breath honey. you’re gonna make yourself sick.” you say stopping him.
“i don’t know what to do y/n.”
“do you want me to come to nashville?”
“no no you don’t need to, i think i may just come back to anaheim if i can’t play next game.”
“call me as soon as you know.” you say biting your nails.
“i promise i will, ill call you once they evaluate me.”
“okay, love you trevor.”
“love you too, bye.” he says and you hang up, slamming your phone down on the couch tears instantly spilling from your eyes, your hands instantly covering your face.
“i can’t fucking do this.” you cry, trying to catch your breath as your phone begins to ring, jamie’s name coming into the screen.
“hello?” you say weakly.
“i saw what happened and i wanted to check up on you. how you holding up?”
“i’m a fucking mess jamie.” you say sobbing.
“oh y/n, i’m so sorry. i wish i could be there with you.” he says apologetically.
“it’s okay, everything’s gonna be okay.” you say out loud to yourself.
“do you have any updates?” he asks.
“no he said he would call me after he gets evaluated.” you say sniffling.
“okay, do you want me to stay on the phone until then? i can facetime you, that’s better than nothing.”
“yes, please do.” you say and he presses the facetime button, you picking up immediately.
“sorry i look awful right now,” you say wiping your nose.
“hey no, don’t worry. you’re going through a lot right now.”
you stayed on the phone with jamie for the next two hours, appreciating him spending time on the phone with you instead of getting to know his new city.
“jamie i gotta go. z is calling, i’ll text you with updates.”
“okay, goodnight y/n.”
“goodnight jamie.” you say hanging up and picking up trevor’s call.
“so?” you ask.
“can you pick me up from the airport in the morning?” he asks, your heart sinking into your stomach.
“yes i can.”
“thank you baby, i’m so sorry about all of this.”
“it’s okay. are you okay?”
“i’m not playing, won’t know what’s wrong until i come home and go see team doc.”
“okay okay, what time?” you ask.
“7 am, cali time.”
“jesus thats in,” you look at the time, “11 hours.”
“i’m sorry for the short notice, i didn’t think this would happen.”
“it’s okay no worries at all okay? i’ll see you tomorrow morning.”
“okay, i love you.” he says
“i love you too, bye trevor.” you say hanging up. texting jamie about picking him up in the morning. with the early wake up time, you take yourself to bed and crash instantly. the sadness had exhausted you. it seems like just as you went to sleep your alarm was already going off. you groaned at the sound, sliding your shoes on and heading out the door without caring for your appearance. feeling selfish for being this down when it’s not even happening to you. your drive to the airport was smooth, trevor texting you that he’d landed a few minutes ago as you pull into the airport arrival lane, him waiting patiently with his foot in a boot. you stop and get out of the car to hug him, crying instantly.
“hey hey i’m here now, let’s go home okay?” he says holding you tightly. you put his things in the car and drive off, back to your apartment. the car ride was completely silent as you gathered your composure. once you arrive you help him bring his stuff in and help him into bed.
“did you sleep?” you ask laying down next to him.
“no.” he says looking over at you, looking beat down.
“get some sleep baby.” you say pulling yourself to his side, combing your fingers through his hair.
“i can’t sleep y/n,” he said, his voice breaking, “god damnit.” he says breaking down in tears, your hands catching his face as he looked down.
“talk to me trevor, get it out.”
“well for starters, it was my 200th game and i didn’t even make it through the first period and my best friend got traded across the country all within 24 hours. life couldn’t possibly get any worse. this is the lowest i have ever felt.” he explained, getting everything off his chest.
“i know it’s hard honey, i’ve cried about 50 times in the last 24 hours. my heart is broken for you. all i can do is be here for you and listen and i feel like that’s still not even enough.”
“it is enough, it’s just a tough time right now. for both of us it seems.” he giggles, placing a hand around my waist.
“well i love you, i’m here for you baby. don’t hold back anything you’re feeling, not until you’re better. it sucks that jamie is gone but we still have each other! i know that’s not like the greatest but it’s something.”
“you know, you are the best girlfriend ever.” he smiles weakly, pulling you onto his lap and wiping the few tears that left your eyes.
“i just feel terrible about all of this.” you say to him.
“there’s nothing you could’ve done, it’s okay.” he says hugging you to his chest.
“this was not on my 2024 bingo card.” you sniffled, laughing lightly.
“it wasn’t on mine either but here we are.” he says hugging onto me tightly. you stayed on his chest until you felt yourself grow tired, eyes getting heavier by the second. not a word was said as you drifted off to sleep. trevor stayed awake, holding onto you as it was the only thing keeping him from falling apart.
“i love you more than you’ll ever know.” he whispers into your hair, kissing your head sweetly as his hands rubbed your back gently.
-
when you woke up and rolled off of the boy who was fast asleep, trying not to wake him up. you grabbed your phone off the charger and walked into the kitchen, opening your phone to a missed call from jamie about 20 minutes ago. you click on the notification to call him back and he picks up instantly.
“hello?” he says.
“yes jamie hi, what’s up?”
“do you have a minute?”
“yeah i just got up, are you okay?”
“yeah i think it’s all starting to process now and i’m so emotional. like i just up and left my home with my two best friends. how can i just live like this so suddenly? i made breakfast and it wasn’t even good.” he explains, his voice wavering.
“oh jamie,” you say, “it’s gonna be okay. i promise it will be. they love you.”
“i’m sure ill get used to it soon it’s just such an unexpected change, i don’t know what i’m doing.” he says sending you through all of your emotions at once.
“i understand, even though we aren’t physically there we are always here for you jam. we love you so so much.”
“i love you guys too.”
“i’m also about to make breakfast for the first time without you, i don’t really know how to feel.” you laugh realizing what you had walked into the kitchen to do.
“well i’ll let you go so you can perfect your pancakes as always. bye y/n.”
“bye jam.” you say hanging up the phone and bringing out all the ingredients. you do your typical routine, humming ‘unwritten’, your favorite song. suddenly a wall of emotions hit you and tears begin to fall without warning.
“our breakfast song.” you say to yourself, recalling that you and jamie had sang this together every morning.
“smells good.” trevor says walking out of the room, your back fortunately facing away from him.
“thank you.” you force out, sounding mostly normal.
“pancakes?” he asks.
“yep.” you reply flipping the last one. you plate it and turn around, revealing your red and puffy face to your boyfriend.
“woah,” he says getting up off the bar stool and rounding the counter, “what’s going on?”
“trevor im so tired.” you cry and he wraps you in his arms.
“i know i know.” he says holding you tightly.
“i feel so empty, ive been here for you, for jamie, for everyone and no one has sat and listened to me. im so tired.” you cry even more into his chest.
“i didn’t know you felt that way, im so sorry if you felt like you couldn’t talk to me baby.”
“it’s okay, it’s a rough time for you i didn’t wanna push too hard but i can’t say i wasn’t upset.”
“don’t dismiss your own feelings just because i’m going through something. we’re in this together.” he says pulling away slightly, brushing strands of hair from your face.
“okay.” you say, your sobs finally subsiding.
“i love you.” he says kissing your gently on the forehead.
“i love you too trev.” you say smiling at the gesture, wrapping yourself back in his embrace.

You wake up the next morning to a text from Jake saying that he’ll meet you at the hospital and doesn’t need a ride and you can’t help the bottomless ache in your chest. You’d gotten used to your little routine with Jake and Pudding every morning and it felt fundamentally wrong to go through the motions of your morning without them. You’d gotten used to eating breakfast at Jake’s so your fridge is woefully void of breakfast offerings so you decide to pick something up on your way. When you go down to the parking garage, however, you encounter your next problem. You have the door on the driver’s side open and you glare up at the seat. Suddenly you’re regretting not asking Jake to show you how to get up by yourself instead of indulging in his arms every time you had to get in. After a few awkward minutes of googling, you’re pushing yourself onto the step-up and fumbling around for the handle folded against the groove between the inside wall and the ceiling of the cab. Once you get a good enough grip you put all your strength into pulling yourself up, your arms burning at the unfamiliar stretch. Jake’s voice echoes in your mind as you buckle your seatbelt, fiddling with the radio with one hand while the other flexes to alleviate the uncomfortable feeling from clenching around the handle. “Who knew you were so strong, Bunny?” The ache in your chest is back and you rub at the phantom pain, willing it away while you chance a glance at the empty seat beside you. You try not to think anything of it as you pull the car out of the parking garage and head towards Anaheim where you’re meeting one of your old medical school colleagues.
***
You sprint into the lobby of the hospital with thirty seconds to spare and you take a few deep breaths to try and convince yourself that you don’t look like you ran down four flights of parking garage stairs to get here. Smoothing your hair down, you walk purposely towards the front desk, plastering on your best doctor smile as you check in with the receptionist, fishing your phone out of your pocket to see if you’ve heard from Jake yet. He’s annoyingly punctual whenever you aren’t together, so he’s probably here somewhere.
“Hey,” you jump about a foot in the air and the receptionist looks over her computer screen at your sudden movement and you turn to see Jake standing behind you, holding a travel mug and a foil packet in one large hand. His eyebrows raise at your reaction, as he passes the clipboard he’s got in his other hand to the receptionist. “Thanks, Cinda, she’s with me.” He steers you away from the desk with his how free hand, placing it gently on the small of your back and you almost want to weep at the gentle touch. Once you’ve taken a seat next to where you assume Jake has been waiting for you, he hands you the thermos and foil packet. “Here, I figured you probably didn’t eat.” Your stomach takes that exact moment to growl in confirmation and you flush in embarrassment. You pop open the thermos and groan in appreciation at the sight of the matcha latte. After your first breakfast encounter, Jake had taken it upon himself to learn how to make them for you every morning. You gulp down the scalding liquid in an attempt to disguise the tears lining your eyes as ones of physical pain from the burn. After last night and his message this morning, you were afraid that things were broken beyond repair but this? The tea and the bagel that’s revealed in the foil packet are his quiet way of reassuring you that he still cares. There’s a comfortable silence between you and Jake as you eat and you’re saved from the awkwardness that could follow when a nurse walks up to the two of you and tells you to follow her to the examination room. You lick the last of the cream cheese off of your fingers and dig around in your bag to pull out a copy of Jake’s chart.
When the three of you reach the room, the nurse waves you in and you turn to smile at the lady sitting on a stool glancing at her clipboard just as she looks up, grinning at you. “The Stitch Witch has blessed me with her presence!” She exclaims, jumping up to give you a huge hug. You feel the tension run out of your body at her warm welcome and hug her back.
“Natalie, good to see you.” She finally lets go and turns to Jake, her eyes widening as she grabs your arm, quivering with excitement.
“I know you said your patient was THAT Jake Seresin, but oh my god Stitch I can’t believe it.” Her eyes are wide as saucers as she finally detaches from your arm to extend a hand to Jake, grinning at him. “Hi Jake, I’m Dr. Natalie Langley, it’s so great to meet you finally.” Jake smiles back as he shakes her outstretched hand.
“Thanks, doc. I really appreciate you taking the time.” She waves it off.
“Anything for Stitch here. Plus, I had to make sure you were real.” She giggles, turning to waggle her eyebrows at you as she goes to pick her clipboard up again.
“Stitch?” Jake raises a teasing eyebrow and you roll your eyes as Natalie perks up.
“Yeah! We called her the Stitch Witch back in med school because she always had the neatest stitches and sutures. You’d have thought she had a sewing machine up her sleeve! Just wait until the season starts and you’ll get a chance to see her in action.”
“Well ideally, he won’t.” You laugh nervously, squirming under Natalie’s compliments.
“Realistically though, I will. Hockey’s not a contact sport for nothing, Bugs.” Jake says as he crosses the room to take a seat on the exam table. Your brows crease, eyes immediately training on his braced knee.
“Are you okay? Does it hurt?” You scamper over and squat down to get at eye level with his knee, gently running a finger down the brace, before moving to remove it until Natalie smacks your hand away.
“Not so fast, Stitch, this is my court, remember? Hands off.” You scowl at her but retreat to a chair in the corner as Natalie takes your place. You try to stifle the wave of jealousy that turns your stomach as Natalie looks up at Jake and inquires about his pain. He answers her questions without fanfare and you try to busy yourself with rearranging the file you brought until she turns to you. “Is that the stuff I asked for?” You nod, handing her the files. She flips through them as you try not to squirm where you sit.
Finally, you excuse yourself to the bathroom, too uncomfortable to stay in the room. Jake gives you a questioning look but doesn’t say anything. As you walk down the hall, looking for the bathroom you feel your face flush with embarrassment as you realize how ridiculous you’re being. Natalie is just doing her job and she’s doing you a favor on top of that. She doesn’t have any feelings for Jake and Jake certainly doesn’t have any feelings for her. Right? You let your find go back to last night and you remember the delicious pressure of his lips on yours. The last time you’d been kissed before that had been Dr. Anderson. You shudder at the memory, the fear from that day coursing through you anew as you remember his demanding hands grabbing your face and hauling you against him. You’re eternally grateful that someone had walked in before he could do anything more than that. Some days you’d wonder if it would have been better if they didn’t. If Dr. Anderson had just taken what he wanted from you and then you’d kept your respective mouths shut. You could have had your pick of job offers, and multiple routes of escape so you’d never have to see him again. The therapist you’d seen briefly after the incident had reassured you that that was not the case, that the damage that would have caused would have affected much more than just your career and you wanted to believe her but some days were easier than others.
Kissing Jake had been different. Sure, he’d caught you off guard as well but his lips had been gentle, desperate in a way that gave instead of took. You shake your head as you look at your red face in the bathroom mirror before groaning and pressing your forehead to your reflection’s, the cool surface a stark contrast to the flush on your skin. You need to get yourself together. You’d been fine these past two weeks. You’d been able to keep your composure, your professionalism, as long as you and Jake were at work and you were at work now even if this was a field trip of sorts. Your brain takes this moment to remind you that all those other times you’d been unaware of how your patient tasted and you groan again as the unsatisfied part of your brain takes over. Before it can get very far, however, the cynical part of your brain reminds you that you’d shown Jake all your broken parts last night and he’d walked away. The tears from your morning drive threaten to make another appearance as you feel the shame wash over you in waves. Jake doesn’t want you, not anymore. He left last night. Sure he’d brought you breakfast this morning but that didn’t mean anything, that was a peace offering not a declaration of intention. You sniffle and grab some paper towels, blowing your nose with one and wetting the other in the sink as you dab at your red cheeks, doing your best to ease the heat in them. You swallow, putting on your best professional smile, before heading back towards the exam room. You pause, hand on the door handle as you hear your name from inside, listening to find out why they're talking about you.
“Are you kidding? She’s like your biggest fan.” Natalie laughs. “And not in a weird way either.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Jake asks, warily.
“What I mean is, one time we went to one of your games here in Anaheim? And there were these two girls in front of us who wouldn’t shut up about how badly they wanted you to break their backs like glow sticks, and one of them even had a pair of her panties she was gonna try to get you to sign and Stitch got so annoyed that she dumped her Coke on them and tried to play it off as an accident.” Natalie is howling at the memory and you bite your lip. You’d almost forgotten about that. It was your first time seeing one of Jake’s games in person and you’d been so excited for weeks only to have those two girls get on your nerves, distracting you from the game to the point that you finally snapped halfway through the second period. They’d caused a huge fuss, obviously, but had believed your lie about it being an accident as they left in a huff. Natalie’s talking again. “And whenever the guys at work were talking shit during playoffs, she’d always shut them down, rattling off your stats from memory.” She laughs. “So yeah, she’s kind of your biggest fan.”
Your hand twitches and the door handle squeaks. You flinch but decide to commit to it and push the door open. “Hey guys, sorry about that, what’d I miss?” You almost miss the look of soft awe on Jake’s face as he looks at you, it’s gone so quickly, replaced by his professional mask. You’re almost unsure it was there in the first place.
“We just finished up the preliminary stuff, so we can get right into the scans!” Natalie announces and she stands from the stool she’s sitting on and gestures for you and Jake to follow her.
***
The scans go smoothly and a few hours later, you and Jake are following Natalie as she leads you back to the lobby. You’re chatting amiably about nothing in particular when Natalie says something that makes your skin crawl.
“Oh hi, Dr. Anderson, good morning!” Your whole body recoils, your shoulder bumping Jake’s chest as panic rises in your throat and Dr. Anderson walks into your field of vision like a demon straight from your nightmares.
“Good morning, Natalie, good to see you.” Then he notices you and you swear the smile on his face twists into a cruel smirk as his eyes land on you. “Well, this is a pleasant surprise.”
“Oh, do you two know each other?” Natalie chirps, blissfully unaware of the tension brewing between you and Dr. Anderson. She’s stopped walking for this little chat and you’re fighting the urge to run as fast and as far as you can.
“We worked together at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe.” He explains, smiling and you feel Jake stiffen behind you as he realizes. “Good to see you,” You suppress a shudder as your name passes his lips. Natalie turns and starts walking again and he eyes the Dogfighters logo on Jake’s sweatshirt and leans in so Natalie can’t hear. “I see you’re still spreading your legs for the highest bidder.” You feel shame coat your tongue and pin you in place as your face heats. But you’re not the only one who heard his words and Jake growls, steps in front of you, getting up in Dr. Anderson’s face.
“Watch your fucking mouth.” His voice is low, dangerous, trembling with barely contained fury. Dr. Anderson just chuckles darkly.
“What’s wrong, pretty boy?” He gives Jake a lazy once over as his smirk widens. “Thought you were special? She’s just using you to fuck her way to the top.” Jake lunges at the other man but your hands come up to fist the back of his sweatshirt.
“Jake, no, he’s not worth it. Just let it go.” You beg quietly, trying to stop him before he makes a scene that’ll decorate the tabloids in no time. Jake relaxes under your grip but his words are ice cold when he speaks.
“You’re right, Bunny, he’s not worth it. But you are.” And then as your grip loosens in a false sense of relief, Jake’s arm snaps forward and you gasp as it makes contact with Dr. Anderson’s jaw. He stumbles back, his face a mask of shock as Natalie turns around at the sound, crying out in surprise.
“Jake!” You cry out, but he’s not listening. He grabs Dr. Anderson by the collar of his coat and drags him so that their faces are barely centimeters away from each other before he growls.
“You leave her the fuck alone, you hear me? And if I hear one peep from you about this?” He nods between the two of them. “You’ll be hearing from my lawyer and then you’ll know exactly how it feels to have your career ruined.” Your heart aches at his words even as fear chokes you.
“What’s he talking about?” You jump at Natalie’s voice that’s now at your shoulder. You shake your head.
“Don’t worry about it.” Your voice sounds unfamiliar and gravelly.
“No, Stitch, what’s he talking about?” And you let out a broken sob as she pulls you into her arms. Jake finally lets go of Dr. Anderson and the other man slumps against the wall, real fear on his face. Jake turns to you and Natalie, his expression of rage melting into concern when he sees you buried against Natalie’s chest. He starts towards the two of you but you feel Natalie shake her head at him above you. “You need to go.” She says, her voice surprisingly firm. Jake doesn’t say anything and you peek out from her arms to see the conflicted expression on his face before he nods and walks away from the two of you, back towards the lobby and Natalie turns to address Dr. Anderson. “You too.” He starts to open his mouth but she cuts him off. “Now. You weren’t feeling well. You think it could be stomach flu and you don’t want it to spread, so being the responsible physician that you are, you went home.” You shiver at her cold calculating tone. He glares at her and she glares back before he finally moves to leave in the opposite direction of Jake and Natalie leads you towards her office. “Come on Stitch, we need to talk.”
***
You tell her everything about what happened with Dr. Anderson, both from a few months ago and what he said today and she listens quietly, fists clenched in her lap in silent rage. When you finish she reaches to take your shaking hands in hers. “I’m going to management about Dr. Anderson tomorrow.” Your eyes widen.
“What, why? We don’t have any evidence.” She shakes her head.
“You’re going to file an anonymous complaint with me right now, about what Dr. Anderson said to you today. He verbally harassed a visiting physician AND a patient. I’ll protect both your and Jake’s identities as long as he agrees to corroborate your statement. We can work with your PR rep if you’re okay with involving them.”
“I am, but Jake PUNCHED him, Natalie, there’s no way to make that look like anything else. That would be disastrous if it hit the press!”
Natalie shrugs. “Did he hit Dr. Anderson? I didn’t see anything, did you? He told him to leave you alone and then the two of you left.” Your jaw drops. “Jake already threatened him, if he tries anything, Jake will get lawyers involved and I don’t think anyone involved wants this to be bigger than it already is.” You swallow, hard.
“Then why do this at all?”
“Because I don’t want him at our hospital even if he isn’t full-time. I want him blacklisted from here. I don’t feel safe having him here around me or any of the other girls who work here. And I’ll tell management just as much. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t but I’m going to try.” She gives you a rueful smile and you lean over to hug her.
“Thank you.” You whisper. “For everything.” She squeezes you back.
“You’re welcome, but you don’t have to thank me for doing what’s right. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through all of this. You don’t deserve any of it.” She sighs, pulling back before she gives you a soft smile. “I’ll walk you out.”
***
When you reach Jake’s truck, Natalie gapes up at the beast. “You drive this?”
You laugh. “Well technically yes, but it’s not mine. It’s Jake’s. I’m just his driver while his leg heals.” You explain.
“Well, then where is he?”
“He texted saying he was needed at the arena so he grabbed an Uber.” You shrug as you fumble for the keys in your purse, unlocking the truck. Natalie gives your butt a boost as you awkwardly haul yourself up into the driver’s seat and she shakes her head.
“I’d tell you to drive safe, but in that thing, you’re the menace on the road, not the other traffic.” You chuckle at that and wave to her as you pull out of the parking garage.
You head for the arena. You and Jake can go over Natalie’s observations and recommendations since the scan results won’t be back for at least a couple of days. That and you need to talk about what just happened. His voice echoes in your mind as you drive. “You’re right, Bunny, he’s not worth it. But you are.” Your heart aches. He stood up for you, fought for you, AGAIN. Back in Cyclone’s office, he had no reason to. And today he did it again even after all that had happened between the two of you last night. You’re so lost in your thoughts that you don’t see the car run the red light as you pass through the intersection.
The impact is hard to your left. The truck spins out and your brain is empty as the airbags deploy in your face. You’re not sure if you black out but everything has stopped moving. The driver’s side door bulges in towards you as you struggle to pull your phone out of your pocket, your shaking hands fumbling with the seatbelt release. You’re dialing Jake blindly as you ignore the muffled voices outside the window and the knocks on the glass. It barely finishes ringing before Jake answers.
“Everything okay, Bugs?”
“JAKE!” Your voice escapes in a strangled screaming sob.
“Bunny? Bunny, what’s going on? Are you okay?” Jake’s voice is worried and urgent, but your brain is blank. You just know you need him so you just keep calling for him through heaving sobs. Jake’s trying to figure out what’s wrong, where you are but you can’t communicate it.
Finally, the passenger door is yanked open and a paramedic climbs into the seat, reaching towards you. “Ma’am, are you alright?” You can’t respond, you just keep calling for Jake as they wrestle your phone from you and take over. You’re still screaming until another paramedic passes the one next to you a needle and they lean over to press it into your arm and the world goes dark.
When you come to, you’re lying on a stretcher in an ambulance that’s stopped. You sit up, head spinning to see that you’re still at the scene of the accident. You pull the oxygen mask off you, trying to focus on the sight in front of you. There’s a huge dent in the driver’s side door of Jake’s truck but the car next to it may as well be totaled. A paramedic notices that you’re awake comes over to you and starts asking you questions but you shake your head. “I need Jake, is Jake here?” She sighs and takes your hand gently.
“He is, he’s just talking to the cops right now about his vehicle. Can I ask you some questions while we wait for him?” You don’t really want to but you nod anyway. She runs through a basic list of identifying questions before she checks you for a concussion. “You’re definitely concussed.” She says, sitting back. “Your friend says you’re a doctor so I know you know what that means.” You groan. You’re about to argue with her when a familiar voice catches your attention.
“Hey Bunny, you doing okay?” Jake’s voice is gentle, and tentative, like he’s trying not to spook a horse. His name passes through your lips in a strangled sob and you lunge towards him. He moves quickly, pulling you against his chest as you bury your face in it, breathing in the familiar scent that tells you that he’s here. You’re safe. He runs his hands over your back in soothing motions as you cling to him like a monkey. Eventually, he gently pulls back to inspect your face and you hiccup as you gaze back at him. “You all cried out, sweet girl?” You nod, exhaustion setting in. “Talk to me, baby, need to hear your voice to know you’re okay.” He smooths your hair away from your face with featherlight touches like he’s scared you’ll shatter in his arms.
“You told me,” you hiccup and Jake arches an eyebrow down at you, confused as to what you’re referring to. “You told me to remind you to never let me drive your truck.” You manage to get out the words before another hiccup hits, pouting up at him and Jake’s face transforms from an expression of worry to pure joy as he tips his head back and laughs, a loud booming sound that echoes through his chest where your cheek is pressed and you revel in the sound as it sends a shiver of pleasure down your spine. A small, tired smile graces your lips as you watch him.
When he finally stops laughing he leans down to nuzzle your head with his cheek. “I’m glad you were driving it because if you’d gotten hit in your little deathtrap, you might not be here right now.” His voice breaks a little at the end and he shifts to press his lips to your upturned forehead, eyes closing. “And I don’t know what I’d do with myself if you weren’t.” The paramedic interrupts your little moment, clearing her throat.
“She has a concussion. Are you going to be able to keep an eye on her or should we take her to the hospital?” Jake shakes his head.
“I’ve got her, she can stay with me. That okay with you, Bunny?” You look up at him, tentatively, suddenly shy.
“I wouldn’t want to impose…”
“Nonsense. Pudding’ll be so excited to have you.” He squeezes you gently, dropping his mouth next to your ear as he whispers. And I’d sleep better knowing you’re safe with me.”
“M’always safe with you, Jake.” You murmur into his chest and you feel his arms tighten around you as he straightens to address the paramedic again. The paramedic gives him instructions that you’ve both heard a thousand times and you relax, content to stay in his arms. When they finally finish, Jake turns his attention back to you.
“Let’s go home, sweet girl,” Jake says gently before shifting his arms around you and before you can complain about the loss of contact, he’s scooping you up into his arms. Usually, you’d complain but for now, you’re overjoyed to be close to him, and you give a hum of joy as he carries you out of the ambulance towards an unfamiliar Land Rover. You’re about to ask when the driver’s side door opens and Javy steps out, concern on his face.
The passenger door opens too and Zam shoots out, jogging over in her heels.
“Oh my god, is she okay?” She’s borderline hysterical until Jake nods.
“Just a concussion. She’s gonna stay with me tonight and we can reevaluate tomorrow if that’s what she wants. Can you go to her place and grab her some stuff?” She nods, heading back to the car where Javy’s opening the back door and Jake gently places you down, buckling you in before he goes around to the other side and climbs in, scooting to the middle seat so you can lean on him, lacing his fingers in yours. You close your eyes and settle against his shoulder, too tired to thank either of your friends.
Zam’s voice breaks the awkward silence. “Jake Seresin, if you hurt her, I swear to god I’ll kill you myself.”
“S’okay Zam,” you murmur, eyes still shut. “M’safe with Jake.” You hear both her and Javy’s breath catch but you’re far too tired to pay them any mind. “Jake, m’tired. Wake me up when we get there?” He reaches up to stroke your hair, the repetitive soothing motion adding to your sleepiness.
“Sleep, sweet girl, I’ve got you.” His voice is soft and low, just for you.
“Don’t go, Jake.” You manage before sleep takes your tongue completely. “Don’t leave me.”
“I’m not going anywhere Bunny, I’ll be right here. We’re a team, remember?” Your lips curl upward at the reminder, as sleep takes you under.

I’m in shock I don’t know what to do right now. What was Mama D reaction to Jamie telling her he was traded?
He told her at the breakfast table after he’d come back from the facility.
She was in the middle of feeding the twins and she almost dropped Wesley from her hold.
“Jamie…”
He sighed “I’m sorry”
“No, I just - we have to get the kids unenrolled from school, pack their stuff, oh my god I need to call my work-“
Jamie placed a hand on her shoulder
“Baby… I don’t think you should come with me” he explained, she immediately frowned
“Jamie, no!”
“Their life is in Anaheim, I just think we live apart until the season ends and I’ll meet you back in Toronto ok?”
“Jamie we can do it together, they’re babies!”
“They’re our babies and we do what’s best for them. Not us. Plus we can’t take Daisy out of state” he explained and her face dropped
“Oh yeah…”
Daisy’s adoption hasn’t been finalised yet and they weren’t allowed to take her out of state until it was.
Tears welled up in her eyes “I don’t want to be away from you Jam..”
“We’ll see it through babe, we always do”

JAMIEEEEEE ❤️❤️❤️❤️
yessss we love jamie ❤
honestly not sure if this is a request or not but heres a little something just in case it is haha
sorry if it's not what you wanted, let me know if you'd like something else!
the sun peeked through the blinds of jamie and I's shared room for our vacation in maui. the waves are crashing and creating a calming atmosphere for us while we sleep. I hear the birds chirping and the trees moving with the wind, with that beachy smell of sand and saltwater to tie it all together.
jamie's arms are wrapped around my waist from behind and he sleeps happily behind me. as I'm taking in the sights outside of our window while still in bed, I decide to let jamie sleep longer.
my hands carefully push his arms off of me and I sneak out of the bed and onto our porch. I take a seat on the padded chair outside, kicking my feet up on the footstool and taking in the morning sun. the air outside the cold room is warm, only getting hotter the longer I spend outside. I close my eyes and almost bask in the sun, taking in every ounce of sunlight possible while we're here.
the sliding of the glass door breaks my focus on my morning tan. I turn and see jamie, smiling at me with tired eyes. "goodmorning, jim jam!" I say with a smile.
"how long have you been out here by yourself?" he frowns slipping on his shoes before walking onto the porch and shutting the door.
"well what time is it?" i ask while he pushes the button on the side of his phone to turn it on, peeking at the time before turning it off. "its 9:03."
"well then, its been two hours."
"you should have woke me up and we could have gone for a walk on the beach." he says with a chuckle before standing beside me. "and we could've got breakfast too. im kinda hungry."
I belt out a laugh and jamie joins me. I love his laugh. even though jamie is a grown man, his laugh comes out it's like a loud giggle mixed with some wheezes, it's honestly hilarious. it really brightens up a room when he laughs.
jamie is the light of my life. I would do anything for him and he would do anything for me. he is the sweetest man I have ever met. a lot of my past relationships have ended badly since I'm the type of person to just trust people blindly, which ends up hurting me in the long run.
but jamie is different than all of the other guys I've met. I'm honored to have met him in anaheim and I'm still honored to have been with him all the way to philadelphia. and now we're here, in hawaii and enjoying our time alone together before we meet up with everybody else at the hughes' lake house.
jamie's hand takes a hold of mine and he pulls me up and walks me to the edge of the porch, our hands resting on the fence that keeps us from falling over. "I love you so much. thank you for everything." he says, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
later on that day, jamie and I were walking on the beach, toes in the sand when jamie got down on one knee and proposed to me. I of course said yes and cried in his arms soon after. I cried even harder when all of our friends popped out from behind me and surprised me with their presence.
I then learned that we are all staying in hualalai for the summer instead of the lake house and all of our friends are now with us for the rest of the time. this summer turns out to be the best summer I've ever had.

Does el and Lovie have mommy daughter days and what do they do when they have those days
they do! basically any time Jack is on a roadie, is mommy daughter time!
they usually keep it pretty lowkey, especially now that Lovie is pregnant because she’s extra tired and hormonal and she doesn’t wanna exhaust herself physically and mentally. usually they sleep in (El is just like Lovie, she loves to sleep! she could sleep until 11am), and then Lovie usually likes to try and take El out for breakfast and then to the park, and then they usually go home and play for awhile and maybe put a movie on in the background, if El is really dirty from the park (like if she played in the sandbox) then Lovie will give her a bath, and then El usually naps for layout an hour and Lovie will take that time to relax and have some alone time, once El wakes up, they play for a few more hours, and then Lovie sticks El in her play pen and puts something on the tv while she makes dinner, and then after dinner, Lovie will get El ready for bed and they’ll snuggle on the couch and watch the Devils game! El often falls asleep during like second intermission.
this is all except when Jack is playing against Quinn, Trevor, or Cole, because then Lovie and El travel to go to that game so El can see her uncles and Lovie can see her brother/best friends! when the Devils play against the Ducks in Anaheim, Lovie and El will stay with Trevor for a few days and Alex will usually go visit them for a day so that he can see them too!

On-Site vs. Off-Site Hotels at Disneyland: Costs, Perks & Transportation for Families
Deciding whether to stay at one of the official Disneyland hotels or at an off-site hotel nearby is an important decision that can significantly impact your vacation budget and experience. Here is an in-depth guide to weighing the pros and cons of staying on-site vs. off-site for families visiting Disneyland. Do Visitors Prefer On-Site or Off-Site? That's a tough question to answer, it seems there is a mix of people who choose to stay on-site at the Disneyland Resort hotels versus off-site at nearby "Good Neighbor" hotels. Here's a quick summary: The main benefits of staying on-site at Disneyland's 3 hotels (Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier (Pixar Pier)) are: - Immersive Disney theming and nostalgia - Early entry into theme parks (30 mins before opening) - Merchandise delivery to hotel room - Charging privileges to hotel room However, on-site hotels cost a premium, with rates starting around $300/night. In contrast, nearby off-site hotels offer significant savings, often bigger rooms for families, free amenities like breakfast/parking, and sometimes even closer proximity to the park gates than Disneyland's own hotels. According to the sources, "most families find the best balance is staying off-site and using those cost savings to splurge on extras in the parks." But die-hard Disney fans may want to stay on-site once for the fairy tale experience. So in summary - a mix of on-site and off-site, with a lean towards off-site for the cost savings for most families. But on-site for those who value the immersion and early entry perks. On-Site Disneyland Hotels There are three Disney-owned hotels located right at the Disneyland Resort complex: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa - The most luxurious and expensive option at over $600/night. Craftsman-style theming, located directly adjacent to Disney California Adventure Park. Disneyland Hotel - Recently renovated tower hotel with modern Disney theming. Standard rooms start around $450/night. Closest hotel to Downtown Disney. Paradise Pier Hotel - Most affordable Disney-owned option with rates from $339/night. Beach boardwalk theme and rooftop pool with views into Disney's California Adventure. The biggest perks of staying on-site at a Disneyland Resort hotel include: - Immersed in Disney theming and atmosphere - Early theme park entry - access to one park 30 minutes before official opening time - Package delivery to your hotel room - Charging privileges to your room at stores and restaurants inside the parks and hotels - Walking distance to parks and Downtown Disney However, staying on-site comes at a premium price point. Even during discounted seasons, expect to spend at least $300 per night for a standard room. Off-Site Hotels Near Disneyland There are dozens of "Good Neighbor" hotels located within easy walking distance to the Disneyland Resort complex. Here are some of the closest and best-rated options: Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance - Literally across the street from Disneyland's entrance. Modern rooms and pool. Rates from $229/night.  Fairfield Inn & Suites Anaheim - Located on Harbor Blvd. less than 10 mins walk to Disneyland gates. Recently renovated rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves. Prices around $170/night.  Tropicana Inn & Suites - Also on Harbor Blvd. within a 5-minute walk to Disneyland entrance. Offers family suites, free breakfast and parking. Around $150/night.  Howard Johnson Anaheim - Just a 2-minute walk to Disneyland entrance, features new water play area and themed kids suites. Rates from $120/night.  Desert Palms Hotel - 6-10 minute walk down Disneyland Dr. to park gates. Family suites with bunk beds available. Complimentary breakfast buffet. Around $140/night. The biggest advantages of staying off-site, close to Disneyland are: - Significant cost savings compared to on-site hotels - Larger rooms and suites, often available for families - Complimentary amenities like free breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi - Closer proximity to park entrance than Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier Hotel However, off-site hotels don't provide the complete Disney immersion experience or perks like early park entry. On-Site vs. Off-Site Comparison Here is a side-by-side comparison of the main pros and cons of staying on-site at Disneyland vs. staying off-site at a close Good Neighbor hotel: On-Site Pros - Immersed in Disney theming and nostalgia - Early entry to theme park (30 minutes before official opening time) - Package delivery to hotel room - Charging privileges to hotel room On-Site Cons - Premium price point - Rooms start around $300/night - Limited benefits compared to Walt Disney World on-site hotels - Farther away from park gates than some off-site hotels Off-Site Pros - Significant savings over on-site hotels - Bigger rooms and family suites - Free amenities like breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi - Often closer proximity to park gates Off-Site Cons - Miss out on some Disney magic and immersion - No early theme park entry benefit Best Hotels for Families By Price Here are my top-recommended hotels for families visiting Disneyland, broken down by budget price point: Under $150/night: - Howard Johnson Anaheim - The best value under $150/night and only 2 minutes from Disneyland's entrance. Offers themed bunk bed kids suites. - Desert Palms Hotel - Affordable rates from $140/night. Family suites with bunk beds and free breakfast buffet. $150 - $200/night - Tropicana Inn & Suites - Harbor Blvd. location 5 mins walk to Disneyland gates. Family suites, free breakfast and parking. - Fairfield Inn & Suites - Recently updated rooms with fridges & microwaves. Less than 10 minute walk down Harbor Blvd. to Disneyland entrance. $200 - $300/night - Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance - Literally across the street from Disneyland entrance. Nice pool and restaurant onsite. - Paradise Pier Hotel - Most affordable Disney-owned option. Beach theme with rooftop pool and views into California Adventure park. Transportation For Off-Site Hotels For those who choose to stay on-site, the walk into the Parks is only a few minutes. For those who stay off-site, it can be a bit more than that. Here's a list of transportation options for those not staying on property: - Hotel Shuttles: Some nearby hotels offer free or low-cost shuttles to and from the Disneyland Resort. These include the ART (Anaheim Resort Transportation) and PCA shuttles. They make regular stops at hotels and drop off near the park entrance. - Ride Sharing: Services like Uber and Lyft can provide transportation on-demand. This is quicker than shuttles but costs more. Taxis are also an option. - Walking: For hotels located very close by, walking is an affordable option. The walk can be under 10 minutes from some nearby hotels. - Car Rental: Renting a car is not very cost-effective just for Disneyland transportation. Other options like shuttles and ride-sharing are cheaper for airport transfers or park transportation. - Public Transportation: There are some public bus routes that serve the Disneyland Resort area from around Anaheim. These can take more time but cost only a few dollars. The best and cheapest options are typically the hotel shuttles or walking from nearby hotels. Shuttles run regularly on park operating days, and walking allows you to avoid any transportation costs. Shuttle Service Some of the most popular shuttle services for getting to Disneyland from an off-site hotel include: - Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) - This is the main shuttle service used by many "Good Neighbor" hotels near Disneyland. It offers regular routes with stops at various hotels and transportation hubs near the parks. - Park Vue Inn Shuttle - This hotel provides a complimentary shuttle running to and from Disneyland during park operating hours. - Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel Shuttle - Also known as the "Dream Machine", this free hotel shuttle takes guests to and from Disneyland, with rides lasting 6-10 minutes. - Hyatt Regency Orange County Shuttle - This hotel provides a dedicated, private shuttle to Disneyland parks and the Anaheim Convention Center. - Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Shuttle - Located right across the street from Disneyland, this hotel offers a $6 round-trip shuttle service to the park entrance. The most convenient and affordable options are typically the ART shuttles that make stops at various hotels, or the handful of hotels that offer complimentary shuttles, like the Park Vue Inn and Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. How Often Do The Shuttles Come? Shuttle services from off-site hotels to Disneyland typically run very frequently, with buses departing every 20-45 minutes. - Shuttles start running about 1 hour before park opening and stop 30-60 minutes after park closing (so they operate during full park hours). - Major shuttle services like Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) have buses departing every 20 minutes at peak times. - Some hotel-specific shuttles may be less frequent, running every 30-45 minutes. - Frequency also depends on demand - more shuttles are deployed during busy times versus slower periods. In general, shuttles offer very convenient service given how often they depart hotels for the short ride to Disneyland and back. Wait times are usually minimal, with a bus coming every 20 minutes or less from most hotels. This makes shuttles a reliable way to get to the parks. Use Savings On A Better Park Experience Guests who stay at off-site hotels near Disneyland can use their cost savings in the following ways: - Purchase discounted multi-day park tickets and vacation packages - Many off-site hotels offer bundles with park tickets, dining, and merchandise vouchers. This allows guests to save on tickets. - Pay for upgrades and extras in the parks - With lower hotel costs, guests can use those savings towards extras like Genie+, character dining, souvenirs, or premium experiences. - Stock up on affordable food/drinks - Guests can stop at nearby stores like Target (nearest location is 1.5 miles away), Walmart (nearest location is 1 mile away), or Costco (nearest location is 4 miles away) to purchase snacks, water, and other food to bring into the parks. This saves money compared to eating all meals inside Disneyland. - Cover transportation costs - The savings can be used towards shuttle services, ride shares, or even a private car service to and from the airport. This makes staying off-site more affordable. - Do laundry if staying multiple days - Nearby laundry facilities allow guests staying a week or more to wash clothes for less than using Disneyland hotel services. The key is to leverage the lower hotel rates to pay for add-ons that enhance the theme park experience or cover other travel costs. Wise spending of savings is crucial to maximize value of an off-site Disneyland stay. Hotel Savings On-Site Disneyland Hotel Savings: - Up to 20% off standard rooms at Disneyland Resort hotels for most Sunday-Thursday nights from January 15 - March 7, 2024 (book by March 7) - Up to 15% off at Grand Californian Hotel for Disney Visa cardholders (book by Dec 11, travel by Dec 22, 2023) - Up to 10-15% off at Paradise Pier Hotel for Disney Visa cardholders (book by Dec 11, travel by Dec 22, 2023) Off-Site "Good Neighbor" Hotel Packages: - Can bundle hotel stay with discounted park tickets and get a voucher for dining/merchandise savings - Nearby hotels often cheaper than on-site (rates starting around $120-170/night) - Bigger rooms and suites available for families - Free amenities like breakfast, parking, WiFi - Use savings on things like Genie+ or Park dining and shopping Should You Stay On-Site or Off-Site? The best option comes down to your budget and preferences. Staying on-site provides a premium Disney-immersive experience but at a much higher cost. Nearby off-site Good Neighbor hotels allow families to save significantly while still being within an easy walk of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Most families find the best balance is staying off-site and using those cost savings to splurge on extras in the parks like character dining or souvenirs. But die-hard Disney fans may want to stay on-site at least once to treat themselves to that fairy tale experience. No matter where you decide to rest your head, the Disneyland magic is waiting right around the corner! Read the full article

Immerse yourself in Anaheim's creative spirit and discover the hidden treasures of its artistic landscape.
Exploring Beyond the Parks
While Disneyland is undeniably a major draw, don't limit your Anaheim adventure to just the theme parks. Use your motel as a base to explore the surrounding area. Visit Knott's Berry Farm, a beloved amusement park with thrilling rides and shows for all ages. Take a short drive to Newport Beach, where you can relax on the sandy shores, indulge in fresh seafood, and soak up the coastal atmosphere. If you're a sports fan, catch a baseball game at Angel Stadium and cheer for the home team alongside passionate fans. By venturing beyond the parks, you'll uncover the hidden gems that make Anaheim a truly remarkable destination.
Creating Lasting Memories

“Don’t act like you care when you already have one foot out the door.” - jack hughes?
3,000 miles - jack hughes
word count: 1.9k words
a/n: i feel like i need to stress that this is a work of fiction. this is in no way a representation of jack’s true character.
Tumblr media
Jack Hughes cared about three things. His family, hockey, and himself. After two years of dating him, you came to the conclusion that you didn’t qualify as something important enough to be added to that list. You were blindsided a few months ago, before that, Jack was an amazing boyfriend. He called every night when he was away and he made you feel loved. He used to bring you breakfast after his morning skates and he’d always invite you to the games even though you basically had an unspoken agreement that you would be at all his home games.
However, lately he’s slipped away and despite your best efforts, you can’t reach him. The nightly phone calls had dropped off and now you’re lucky to even get a goodnight text while he’s on the road. You were the one who had to make the plans if you wanted to see him and he only accepted if it didn’t interfere with his hockey schedule. You obviously respected his career as you also had your own busy schedule to adhere to and you would never plan something when you knew he had practice but he was all of a sudden accepting all the extra ice time he could and also reviewing game tape all night long.
You found yourself actually talking to his family more often than Jack himself. When the Devils played in Vancouver, the Hughes family made the trip up north but you stayed home because Jack never asked you to come along. Luke was disappointed you weren't there and he was pissed at Jack for being a dick.
Your friends have told you for months to leave him because you deserve better than this but you stay because you love Jack and you’re pretty sure he loves you. Jack has never given you a real reason to not believe that he loves you. When you do see each other, it's like nothing has changed and he's still the fresh-eyed 18 year old you met two years ago. You cut him slack because you know how important hockey is to him and you trust him. It’s a crucial time for him and his career right now and you don’t want to add onto his stress with your relationship woes. You’ve committed the speech to memory to whip out at a moment’s notice whenever someone questions why you’re still with him. However, all it takes is 3,000 miles and one too many beers for it to all fall apart
Jack went out to party. The devils lost but he didn’t care. He was back with Trevor and they were ready to tear it up, bringing along Jamie Drysdale for good measure. Trevor Zegras is relationship kryptonite. Not that you blame him for breaking up your relationship... although maybe you do a little bit. You do have to thank Jamie though; allowing you to come to this realization and leave on your own terms saved you a lot of heartbreak. You hadn’t thought much about the text you got from Jack that night after the game. ‘Going out with Z. Talk tomorrow’ it was standard and at this point, you weren’t even holding your breath for the conversation he promised for tomorrow.
You weren't worried until you got a text from Jamie. You had met the guy once before, Jack had a short break that aligned with Trevor’s birthday so you both flew out to Anaheim to celebrate with him. You had talked to Jamie almost all night since Jack was occupied with Trevor but you didn’t mind. You and Jamie’s hometowns were fairly close so you were talking about that and you exchanged numbers so that you could potentially hang out in the summer.
When you read the text from Jamie, you weren't sure what to think. ‘Your boyfriend is off the rails You weren't an overbearing girlfriend who didn't like her guy partying and you knew Jack was always served even though he's underage. You needed more information so you asked, wondering how much Jamie would reveal. ‘Details? If he’s just being a drunk idiot I don't really care’ You waited patiently for a reply to come through and almost lost home once five minutes went by. Then your phone buzzed. It was a video from Jamie. You pressed play and it showed Jack sitting in a booth in a bar. You had to turn your volume up all the way to hear what he was saying but then you regretted it immediately. “She’s a bitch bro! So fucking clingy, I can barely get my own time. Y/n’s the worst girlfriend I swear. She’s even got everyone under her fucking spell, I can’t complain to anyone cause they all love her. I need to get out, be a free man again. I need to live like you Z! You get all the fucking girls and none of the stress” The video went on and on, Jack completely slandering everything and anything about you until it ended abruptly and you sat, staring at your boyfriend who now looked absolutely disgusting in your eyes. It was less than 30 seconds before your phone buzzed again. ‘Sorry Y/n but you deserve to know’ The tears started coming and you didn’t even try to hold them back as you responded to Jamie. ‘Yeah, glad you told me’ You sob while clutching your phone in your hand before throwing it across the room in a fit of rage.
After wallowing in self-pity for a couple hours, you came to your senses. Jack Hughes is an arrogant jerk for saying those things about you. You’ve never overstepped or been overbearing. His family, teammates, and friends have all commented on what an amazing girlfriend you were to him. What he said was utter bullshit and you weren’t going to take it anymore. You stood up in a huff, you needed to get out of here. You spent all night packing your stuff up in your shared apartment. Jack would be home later today and he definitely would not be coming home to you. By 5am, everything was packed and piled in suitcases and boxes near the front door. You were absolutely exhausted but you called a cab and started moving your stuff downstairs. You went to a hotel. It was temporary, until you could find an apartment but it was good enough for now. Once you had checked in and everything was in your room, you sent a few messages.
To Quinn and Luke, ‘Just wanted to let you guys know, I won't be in Michigan this summer (Attached Video)’
To Devil’s WAGs, ‘I hate to do this but I love you all and I don't want the wrong story to go around (Attached Video)’
To Ellen, ‘I’m genuinely so upset having to send this to you and I want you to know that I tried to love him as he deserved but I guess it wasn’t what he wanted. (Attached Video)’
You turned off your phone and fell back onto your bed, desperately chasing after the sleep you so desperately needed.
You woke up a few hours later and your phone was blowing up. You checked the first messages you actually cared about, scrolling past the hundreds of messages and calls from Jack across multiple platforms. Quinn and Luke sent their apologies on their brother’s behalf and promised to ‘make it right’ for you which you knew meant them hitting Jack. The WAGs were upset but supportive and you were glad that they had your back in this. Ellen’s response was the most heartbreaking. Over the years, Ellen had become another mother figure to you and you loved her so much. It broke your heart the way she explained how disappointed she was in Jack, you knew she raised him differently and she made sure to tell you how the family would support you because Jack’s words were inexcusable.
Once you answered the messages, you started the hunt for your apartment. You felt surprisingly calm about all of this and it just helped you realize that this was the right step for you.
...
A couple weeks later, you were settled into your new apartment and life had shifted back to normal. You attended your classes and went to work, you went to spin classes with friends, and you went to your favourite café for your daily vanilla latte. Everything was good, it felt serene to be living your new independent life in the city. When the company you worked at part time was holding a charity gala, you were expected to be there. It was an event to raise money for the children’s foundation so you were excited to go and support a good cause. In your excitement for the event, you had forgotten that this was one of the regular events the New Jersey Devils participated in.
You were having a good time with your coworkers until you saw the familiar face in the crowd. Jack was approaching you, crossing the dining hall as you walked the opposite way, trying to create as much space between you as possible. You were right near the exit when Jack called your name.
“What are you doing here?” He asked when you turned back to face him.
“I have to be for work” You had absolutely no desire to talk to him. It wasn’t that you were bitter about the breakup or the video, you just didn't have anything to say.
“Can we talk? I came home and you were just gone, I didn’t have a chance to explain myself and-” You scoffed.
“And what Jack? How the hell would you explain the horrible things you said about me?” You knew he saw the video. You’re sure his brothers have been giving him shit about it and probably his parents too. Actually, the WAGs probably even showed their significant others and they may have let Jack have it a little too.
“I didn’t mean it! I shouldn't have said it” You shook your head, his words were unbelievable.
“You obviously did Jack and yeah no shit you shouldn't have said it” You rolled your eyes at him. When you looked up, you noticed a few groups had looked over at you, probably at the sound of your raised voices.
“Come on Y/n! Let me apologize at least!” Jack’s voice was way too loud, even more people were looking now including some of his teammates.
“Not here Jack, not now” You turned away from him, heading to the exit, unable to stay any longer. Your boss knew you were here, that appearance was good enough. Jack caught your arm once you reached the exit of the hotel where the event was being held.
“Y/n I’m so sorry, that shit was so unfair to you and I never should have said any of it. I love you, you were the best girlfriend I’ve ever had and I don't know how to show you how much you mean to me” Jack’s words went in one ear and out the other. It was too late for apologies, his words were unforgivable.
“Don’t act like you cared when you already had one foot out the door. That’s not fair to me Jack and you know it.” No amount of sorries could change your mind about him. It didn’t matter how many of his friends or family members contacted you to explain how heartbroken he was or how he’s changed, he would always be the boy who shattered your heart from almost 3,000 miles away.

His Birthday Surprise
Word Count: 1,655
Pairing: Gavin x Hazel
Genre: fluff with smut, 18+
Tags: bathtub sex, unprotected sex, minor swearing
Totally made Gavin older than stated in the game for milestone reasons~ 30th birthday antics ensue~
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~
Gavin unconsciously reached for his wife while still in bed, but when there was no wife to be found, his eyes snapped open. He sat up quickly and listened for any signs of his lovely wife. Upon looking around, his gaze fell onto a piece of paper lying on Hazel’s pillow.
~~Good Morning and Happy Birthday, my love~ I’ve prepared a little game for you (please play along, I promise it’ll be worth it). Please meet Anna at AEC at 11am for your first gift and next clue~
He looked at the alarm clock on his nightstand: 10:32am.
“Shit!”
He clamored out of bed, washed his face (no time to shower), changed and sprinted out the door. He made it to Anaheim Electronics Company with a minute or two to spare, and saw Anna waiting patiently outside the company entrance.
“Hey Mr. Birthday Boy!”
She smiled brightly and handed him a small gift and a card with the next clue written on it.
“Here, you're going to need this as well,” she also handed him a large bag for the small gift.
“Did Hazel rope you all into this?” Gavin cocked an eyebrow at her.
“She did but we also wanted to help her make your birthday a special one."
Gavin sighed a bit.
“And you can’t tell me where she is, huh?”
Anna shook her head.
“Nope, I cannot~”
Gavin read the second clue:
~~Find Willow at the New Light Mall. She will be at the furniture store’s entrance. Please meet her at 12pm.~~
He checked his phone for the time: 11:32am.
“Thanks, Anna,” he said as he waved goodbye to her. Thankfully he wasn’t too far from the mall and found Willow just before 12pm.
“Happy Birthday, Officer Gavin! You’re probably gonna hear that a lot today,” she giggled. Gavin smiled a bit.
“Thanks, Willow. I’m a little in awe that you all are doing this,” he said she placed another small gift in his bag.
“Well, you don’t turn 30 everyday,” she mused, handing him his third clue.
~~Mr. Keller is waiting for you at the Music Gallery on Sunshine Alley. Please meet him there by 1pm.~~
‘Even Mr. Keller??’ Gavin was torn between impressed and flabbergasted at the fact that Hazel even got their former teacher to participate. He waved goodbye to Willow and set off to Sunshine Alley. Mr. Keller was sitting on a bench just outside the Music Gallery when Gavin came running up.
“Hello, Mr. Keller,” he shook his former teacher’s hand, “definitely a surprise to see you here.”
The teacher chuckled.
“Well, I couldn’t very well refuse Miss May, no, Mrs. Bai, now could I?”
They both shared a laugh over the craziness Gavin was enduring for his milestone birthday.
“Ah, I’m supposed to give you these,” Mr. Keller handed Gavin a small gift bag along with the next clue.
~~If I know my husband, he probably didn’t have breakfast this morning and is now quite hungry. Go meet Minor at Delicioso on Westmoon Street for lunch, Minor’s treat.~~
Gavin shook his head and laughed.
‘Yeah, she does know me,’ he silently mused.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Keller,” he said while shaking the teacher’s hand again.
“Happy Birthday, Gavin. Enjoy the rest of your day.” He waved Gavin off and sat back down on the bench, reminiscing the old days.
‘I’m glad you're happy now, Gavin, you deserve this.’
Gavin’s stomach growled loudly as he got to Delicioso. Minor greeted his friend with a hug.
“Happy Birthday Bro!” The silverette beamed at him, “Come on, let’s get some birthday grub for ya!”
After they ordered their food, Minor happened to notice the bag with all little gifts in it.
“You haven’t opened any of them…”
“Was… I supposed to…?”
“Well, I mean. You could if you wanted to.”
Minor put his small gift in the bag to join the rest of them; he also slid the final clue over to his friend. Before Gavin could read it, their food came, and his train of thought derailed in favor of filling his empty stomach. It had been a while since the two of them hung out together so lunch may have ran a little later than expected. Gavin’s phone buzzed with a text message from Kiki asking where he was. He quickly read the clue,
~~Kiki is waiting at the lobby of the Windsor Hotel. She’ll have the room key to where your lovely wife is waiting for you~ Please meet her at 4pm.~~
It was now 4:30pm.
“Dammit, I’m late meeting with Kiki. Thanks Minor,” he called back to his friend as he ran off, sprinting rather, towards the hotel.
Kiki huffed a little as she impatiently tapped her foot, looking around for the tardy officer. He came up, out of breath, and apologizing profusely to Kiki.
“Dude, you’re lucky it's your birthday,” she said, feigning displeasure. She quickly smiled at him when she noticed the panicked look on his face,
“Just kidding Officer~”
Giggling, she held out the room key to him along with another little gift to put in his bag.
“Here, now get to your woman already!”
He blushed slightly and waved Kiki off. As he got in the elevator, he noticed the room number.
‘Pent...Suite… #2???’ His face paled, ‘she really did go all out…’ He saw the button on the panel that said PH2, so he pressed it. Upon exiting the elevator, he was greeted with a small hallway that curved towards the right leading him to the front doors of the penthouse suite. He opened the doors to a darkened room, lit by many flameless “candles.”
“Hazel?” Gavin called out to his wife while looking around the spacious suite for her.
“In here, my love,” her reply came from the bedroom but when he walked into the room, there was still no wife. He noticed a light coming from under the bathroom door. As he opened the door, Hazel got up from the bath, a stunning beauty to behold in her husband’s eyes. Even though he had seen her naked numerous times before, there was something about how she looked now that floored him. He could feel his pants tightening with every step he took toward her. Cupping her face, he planted a deep and passionate kiss to her lips; all while she was undoing his belt buckle and pants. She reluctantly broke the kiss off and whispered,
“Hurry up, the water’s getting cold.”
Gavin didn’t have to be told twice as he hastily disrobed, and got in the oversized tub with her. Hazel had him lean back as she straddled him, turning on the jets in the process. The pulsing jets of water soothed the small aches in his lower back, but that pain was a distant memory compared to the alluring vision he had in front of him. She slowly lowered herself onto his length while locked in another passionate kiss; his hands running up and down her back. Her skin felt so soft under his calloused hands as they came to rest on her hips. This whole scenario was driving him crazy but he was trying to keep his release at bay to prolong the pleasure he was feeling until she did that—
“Ah!” He inhaled sharply as she bit, sucked and licked the scar on his collarbone. He damn near came unraveled but not quite yet. She rolled her hips slowly, almost painfully slow because she wanted to catch every reaction her husband was emitting. Gavin shot forward, capturing a nipple in his mouth, causing Hazel to gasp and moan loudly. That was it, that sound she made; he came hard, crying out into the crook of her neck. Her walls clenched around his throbbing length as she came wholly unraveled as well.
“Happy Birthday, my Love,” Hazel said into their kiss. Gavin smiled at his wife, still wondering how the hell he got so lucky to be with her. They stayed like that for a bit of time, until the water went cold. Both of them shakily got out of the bathtub. Hazel tossed a towel to her husband as she dried herself off; then slipping into a black, lace trimmed robe, which elicited a whistle from Gavin.
“You like? I got it especially for tonight~” She did a little twirl; the flared sleeves acting like tiny wings. Gavin walked over, tying the towel around his waist, and tugged at her robe’s tie.
“I do like it, but it would look even better off of you~”
She playfully smacked his arm, then grabbed his hand and led him to the balcony of the suite. It was a muggy early evening but nothing a little breeze couldn’t fix (courtesy of a certain Evolver). Hazel gazed at the city skyline, now all lit up, while Gavin put his arm around her waist, holding her close to him.
“Isn’t the view incredible?”
She asked, not noticing that his gaze was fixed on her the entire time.
“Yeah, it’s beautiful,” he replied, not taking his eyes off her. She finally looked over at him and smiled,
“Were you even looking?”
He turned her to face him and placed a kiss on her temple.
“Of course I was looking,” he then kissed her forehead, “at the beautiful view in front of me,” another kiss, this time on her nose. He buried his face in the crook of her neck,
“Thank you for making this the best birthday ever.”
He took this calm moment as an opportunity to plant a hickey on Hazel’s neck, causing her to yelp and jump suddenly. Both laughing, Hazel bolted after Gavin towards the bedroom, where they collapsed into a giggling heap onto the bed. Unfortunately, they both knocked out for the night before Hazel could even give Gavin his cake and other presents; those would just have to wait until morning.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Where’s Morgan?  An Irondad Oneshot
To say that everyone was excited to go to Disneyland was an understatement. It was a very big understatement.
Tony had planned every detail of the trip, making sure that they had bought the right amount of the correct passes to get everyone in and the hotels reservation, and rental car.
When he had finalized the plans, he gathered everyone in the living room.
"Ok, what is this about?" Harley asked suspiciously. "Is this a set up to a prank?"
Tony gasped in indignation.
"Why would you ever say that? Would I really do that to you?"
"You've been acting weird." Peter pointed out. "You keep on minimizing the internet tabs every time we would enter your lab."
"That doesn't mean anything. I could be trying to find you all your Christmas presents early." Tony replied immediately.
"But since when do you shop for us on the Disneyland website?" Morgan asked slyly.
Then there was a moment of silence.
"WAIT, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND?!" The boys asked in disbelief.
Tony let out a laugh that only showed itself with his family.
"That's right. Oh, and I also invited Shuri because last time she was here in the states, she didn't get to go."
All of the kids smiled at each other in excitement.
"The fact that Shuri is coming too is amazing dad!" Harley said.
"This is going to be so fun. Oh I've been wanting to go to Batuu so bad!" Peter gushed.
"Make sure to buy me some shoes with inserts so I'm tall enough for all the rides, dad." Morgan said.
"Wait, when are we going?" Harley asked suddenly.
"Tomorrow. Mom already made a packing list of all the essential items we need to pack." Tony said with a thankful smile to Pepper. "You should be receiving the lists any second now."
Everyone's phones vibrated with the notification of a list. As soon as the kids felt it, they ran to their respective rooms to start packing.
*The next morning*
"All right, do we have everybody on the jet?" Tony asked.
Pepper looked around and thought for a moment.
"Okay, I'll give each of you a number and whenever we do a head count, when I say your number, wave or something. That way we know we're all here. Ok, Tony, you'll be 1, Rhodey, you'll be 2, Harley, 3, Shuri, 4, Peter, 5, and Morgan, you will be 6. Everybody got that?"
Everyone nodded.
"We'll try it a few times on the way so we can get the hang of it."
After a long flight, and a few practices of number counting, they arrived in Anaheim and made their way to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. They checked in, unpacked ate dinner and went to bed early to get enough rest for the next day.
*7:00 the next morning*
"All right, everybody up!" Morgan sang as she jumped from bed to bed, effectively waking everyone in the room.
"My love language is quality time together, but not like this, Morguna." Tony groaned as he finally sat up.
Peter was the next to get up.
"Ok, we have to get dressed and get our phones ready to reserve our boarding groups for Rise of The Resistance! I already have the app ready to go!"
"Hold on kiddo, we need breakfast before we go. What do you all want?" Tony asked.
Everyone listed off what they wanted from the room service booklet and soon everyone had eaten and were ready to start the day at Disneyland.
"Ok, let's do our headcount before getting in line. to enter" Pepper called out.
"One."
Tony flashed a peace sign.
"Two."
Rhodey waved.
"Three."
Harley casually dabbed as he sneezed.
"Four."
"FRE SHA VACA DO!" Shuri said gleefully, making Peter and Harley laugh.
"Five."
"It is Wednesday my dudes." Peter began.
Then all the kids joined in, "uuuuuuuUUUUUUAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
"Kids, you can't do that kind of shit here." Tony interrupted. "Ok, six?"
"Watch yo profanity." Morgan said with a grin.
"We have taught her so well." Peter said, wiping away a fake tear.
"Well, we're all here, so lets go." Pepper said, beckoning everyone towards the gate.
As soon as the gates opened and everyone was inside, Peter reserved their boarding group for Rise of the Resistance.
"Sweet, we're boarding group 15, we can go on a couple of rides while we wait for our turn!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"All right, where do we find a map?" Pepper asked.
"We don't need one. I recruited someone to help us around the park." Tony said.
"Wait, who?" Harley asked.
"Well I did some research on who would be the best tour guide for our trip." Tony explained. "I had Fri do a background check before hiring her to help us. She's known for being a encyclopedia of knowledge on the parks and their history. She knows her stuff and was more than willing to help us. Also, she's the granddaughter of one of the original Imagineers, X Atencio, who did the script for the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean as well as the music that plays through both rides."
"So, a legacy of the Imagineers is going to show us around? How cool is that?" Peter asked.
"So when is she coming?" Shuri asked.
"I'm here already." A new voice said.
Everybody turned to look at the new person who had entered the group. It was a young woman who looked to be in her early twenties. She was dressed in the color scheme of Snow White's outfit but in the style of 1950's clothing. Her makeup was also reminiscent of the era of clothing she dressed in.
"Nice to meet you all in person!" She said with a smile. "The name's Sarah Atencio."
She shook everyone's hand and when she got to Morgan, she crouched down to her height so she was at eye level with the young girl.
"I like your outfit miss." Morgan said politely. "Is it supposed to look like Snow White?"
Sarah smiled at her question.
"It is indeed. The outfit I'm wearing is called a Disneybound. Do you know what that is?"
Morgan shook her head no, but still seemed to be interested in what it was.
"No, but it sounds cool." She replied.
"I can teach you all about it later while we wait in line. How does that sound?" She asked.
Morgan smiled shyly and nodded.
Sarah stood up straight and smoothed out her skirt.
"All right, let's get this trip started! Did anyone have a preference in where we go first?"
"Well, I know that Peter would be very interested to go to Batuu. I myself am curious to see what it looks like in person." Shuri piped up. "I also wanted to see the lightsabers they sell here and compare them to the ones I have at home."
"Are we all in agreement?" Sarah asked.
Everyone voiced their agreement or nodded their heads.
"All right, on to Batuu!" Sarah proclaimed.
*Time skip*
"Peter, since you wanted to go to Batuu, do you have your story planned out? Or are you going to improvise?" Sarah asked.
"I already have planned some aspects of my character but I'm still not sure about a couple of things. So I guess both?" He answered.
"Whoa, what do you mean, character? What story?" Harley asked.
Peter turned to look at Harley in disbelief.
"Do you not remember when we had this conversation?" He asked.
"No, why else would I ask?" Harley retorted.
"Ok, basically, Batuu is a trading post and a secret base for the Rebellion and the First Order is looking for them. Everybody who goes there has the possible chance of being stopped by Stormtroopers who are looking for Rebel spies. It's also possible to be stopped and interrogated by Kylo Ren. So if you wanted to be more immersed in the experience, you could come up with a backstory for why you are in Batuu and what side of the war you're on. As for my backstory, I'm a con artist born on Yavin-4 posing as a merchant looking for a place to trade my fake rare materials on the planet. I sell to the First Order and report to the Rebellion with what the First Order is interested in buying and how much of the item. But the thing is, my so called rare materials are so realistic looking, that they fool the First Order. What they are buying is useless and they won't know it until they try actually using it."
"That's more thought out than what I would come up with." Harley said. "I probably would have come up with some idiotic backstory like, 'Oh, I'm the secret child of Luke Skywalker and I have come to take down my cousin and his stupid army of bucket heads.' Something that wouldn't make sense."
"Well, I'll give you points for using SW slang." Peter remarked playfully.
"We're about to arrive at Rise of the Resistance since it is around the time your group should be called. Are we all here?"
"I'll check, we have a system." Pepper said. "One... Two... Three... Four... Five.... WHERE'S MORGAN?!"
Everyone in the group instantly looked around to see where she could have wandered off to.
"Oh no, Fri, please activate the 'Little Feetsies' protocol." Tony said tapping the side of his sun glasses.
"Activating 'Little Feetsies' protocol."She responded.
"Activating what now?" Harley asked.
Instantly, Tony could see the footprints of everyone in their group on the ground. The smallest pair of feet had diverted from the group way back towards the bazaar.
"Everyone follow me." Tony said.
"Is nobody else going to ask why there is a protocol with that name?" Harley asked as everyone else followed Tony.
Everyone in the group followed Tony as he walked the path of Morgan's shoe prints, making sure he didn't accidentally crash into a person in the process.
Eventually, Tony stopped and everyone saw why.
Morgan was standing with Kylo Ren and his Stormtroopers. And she was smiling as she talked with him.
"Well, I guess Morgan has connections to the First Order now." Shuri said, grinning at Peter, who looked slightly jealous. "How does your character feel after seeing a tiny 5 year old with the Supreme Leader wrapped around her little finger?"
Everyone laughed as they watched the duo, who seemed to be devising a way to end the Resistance once and for all.
"Ok, so that's a good way to help your troopers train and be better at ambushing the Resistance. And also try feeding them yummy food so they will be more hardworking. Give them something like, like.... Spaghetti! Or cheeseburgers!" Morgan told the tall and scary looking man.
"The First Order thanks you for your information and loyalty. You will be rewarded." One of the Stormtroopers told her.
"If only my military strategists had ideas as well thought out as yours." Kylo Ren said with interest. "How would you like to become my apprentice? Learn how to fight properly?"
Peter chose that moment to run to Morgan and scoop her up, making her squeal in surprise.
"AIIIIE, Peter, don't do that!" She giggled.
"I'm so sorry if she was bothering you Supreme Leader, she tends to run off and show off her intellect whenever she gets the chance to." Peter said with more confidence than he felt.
"I had hoped that she would become my apprentice. I could train her well, she would live a successful life as my right hand."
Peter laughed a bit nervously before replying.
"She's a bit too young right now. Maybe when she's at least 16 I would let her decide if she still wants to or not."
"How unfortunate. I insist you reconsider." The deep voice of Kylo Ren replied.
"I apologize Supreme Leader, but I must decline. Well, we have somewhere to be very soon, so I believe this is farewell for now."
Peter carried Morgan back to the rest of the group and Morgan waved goodbye to Kylo Ren.
“Morguna, why did you run off without telling us?” Tony asked the young girl.
“We were worried you might have gotten lost, honey.” Pepper added.
“I’m sorry mommy, Kylo Ren asked me to be his right hand!" Morgan said, right off the bat.
Pepper's facial expression was a mix of horrified amusement and Tony was trying very hard not to laugh. Shuri and Harley looked very proud of Morgan for charming Kylo Ren himself. Sarah was just laughing at the whole situation.
"And I told her no, because she is too young." Peter interjected "Besides, you are supposed to be with the Resistance Morgs, what happened to that?"
"She double crossed you is what happened."Harley replied "Betrayed her own brother, who is supposed to be a con artist."
Everyone burst out laughing at that comment and after it died down, they all went to Rise of the Resistance.
NOTE: This is my first fic on Tumblr, and I think I might do more? It depends on if I have time to write, hahaha! Also if you have seen this on Wattpad, don’t panic, this is the same person who has it on there, I am not stealing someone else’s work. I am taking my own writing and putting it on Tumblr. Also, I know that Disneyland is literally on the opposite side of the country for them, but for the sake of me never having gone to Disney World, I used Disneyland instead. Because I know nothing about the parks layout in Florida.
You don’t know babe. When you hold me. And kiss me slowly. It’s the sweetest thing. And it don’t change. If I had it my way. You would know that you are
Gabbie wakes up to Elias sleeping peacefully beside her. The team is in the middle of a 6 game home stand, so she’s taking advantage of much needed time with Elias before he leaves for another road trip. Tomorrow is Valentine’s day and she’s excited for her 3rd Valentine’s day with Elias. Knowing him, he’s gonna surprise her with something extravagant like he has the last two years and she’s mentally preparing herself for that.
She goes to the kitchen and starts making breakfast, knowing that the smell will get him out of bed.
"Good morning, min kärlek. Did you sleep well?" he asks, kissing her forehead.
"I always sleep better when you’re home," she smiles.
"Good thing I'm here for another week then.Tomorrow I’m taking you out all day. I gotta make this Valentine’s Day better than last year’s," he informs her.
"Do I get at least a hint as to what we're doing?" she asks.
"No, not at all, babe," he replies.
"Asshole," she groans teasingly.
He smacks her ass hard, causing her to screech, "Elias!"
He laughs before running to their bedroom.
You’re the coffee that I need in the morning. You’re my sunshine in the rain when it’s pouring. Won’t you give yourself to me. Give it all, oh
Gabbie wakes up the next morning to see Elias gone. She knows that he doesn’t have practice today. She starts her daily routine and goes out to the kitchen to make breakfast. After a while, she notices he hasn't come back home and texts him.
To: Elias Bear 🥰
Baby, where are you?
From: Elias Bear 🥰
Get ready for your special surprise. The girls are coming to get you
To: Elias Bear 🥰
Oh, idk what you’re planning but I still love you
From: Elias Bear 🥰
I love you more
She gets ready and before she knows it the girls arrive at the condo with a message on a card that reads, “they say love at first sight exists, but I never knew it did until I laid eyes on you. Stop by the place we first met and you’ll get your next clue”.
“Seriously? A scavenger hunt?” she scoffs.
“Just follow along. He spent a lot of time and effort on it,” Holl urges her.
“Alright let’s go!” she sighs, shaking her head.
I just wanna see. I just wanna see how beautiful you are. You know that I see it. I know you’re a star. Where you go I’ll follow. No matter how far. If life is a movie. Oh you;re the best part, oh. Then you’re the best part, ooh. Best part
It’s been a few hours and Gabbie is growing restless. She’s been going all over Vancouver and she’s tired. She wishes the girls would just tell her where Eias is so she can get to the surprise already. Eventually, they arrive at the spot where Elias asked her to move in with him. They arrive at the Jericho Beach boardwalk, even though it’s freezing in early February.
She sees Bo Horvat and Gus, Bo and Holl’s dog. Gus walks over with an envelope in his mouth. She takes the envelope into her hands and opens it. She reads it and turns around. She sees Elias down on one knee.
“Gabbie Cortez, you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m so glad I met you at the BC Lions game. Will you make me the happiest guy on the planet and marry me?” he asks.
Gabbie has her hands over her mouth in shock and keeps gasping “oh my god!” and nodding.
“So is it a yes?” he asks nervously.
“Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes!” she cries out, nodding and smiling.
She hears cheers all around them as Elias slides the ring on her finger. He then gets up and kisses her passionately. After a few passionate kisses, the couple breaks apart and she notices that the whole team, the WAGs, and her immediate family are there. She lifts her hand up and shows off the diamond ring, making everyone cheer again.
It’s this sunrise and those brown eyes, yes. You’re the one that I desire. When we wake up. And then we make love (Make love). It makes me feel so nice
Gabbie and Elias wake up early to Elias’ alarm going off for his 2pm matinee game against Anaheim. He notices the sunrise and looks into her brown eyes and thinks he couldn’t be more in love.
“Babe, look at the sunrise,” he points out, kissing her forehead.
She turns her attention to the sun rising through her open window. They watch the sun rise peacefully before she straddles his waist.
“I’m not usually awake this early,” she informs him.
“I know you’re not. You’re only awake this early when you have 8am class, which you don’t anymore,” he teases, referring to her being a 3rd year film student at UBC.
He tries to get out of bed but she refuses to let her grip on him go.
“Babe, I’m gonna be late to the game and Green is gonna bench me,” his hand on her thighs gently.
“You’re not going anywhere without a kiss,” she teases.
He kisses her and she kisses back easily, not caring about morning breath. The kisses quickly become heated and the thought of being late quickly gets pushed to the back of his mind.
It’s not until after he comes down from his post-orgasm haze, that he realizes he’s gonna be late if he doesn’t leave the condo in less than 10 minutes.
He shows up to the locker room with a minute to spare before being late and mentally fistpumps the air. The guys chirp him for the fresh scratch marks all over his back. He chirps back that at least he’s getting laid unlike some of his loser teammates.
You’re the water when I’m stuck in the desert. You’re the Tylenol I take when my head hurts. You’re the sunshine on my life
Elias catches the flu on game day against Minnesota and is forced to be scratched. He blames Quinn for it somehow and Quinn tells him to fuck off and to get a better immune system. Luckily, Elias has Gabbie who takes care of him and fills him up with some weird Flipino herbal tea that her grandma makes, as well as some Filipino version of chicken noodle soup. She also puts rice on the bottoms of his coup bowl.
He doesn’t question it and just eats it up while thinking it’s the end of the world.
“Babe, I think I’m actually dying. It’s official! I’m dead!” he sighs dramatically.
“Shut up, you big baby. That’s why you have an incredible fiance to take care of you,” she assures him with a kiss to his forehead.
Four days later, Elias is over the flu, unfortunately he manages to give it to Gabbie.
“I’m sorry, babe,” he sighs, as she lays in bed miserably.
“It’s my fault for being all over you. I should’ve slept in the guest room,” she sighs miserably.
If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you? Won’t you? If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you? Love me, won’t you? If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you? If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you? Love me, won’t you? If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you say something? If you love me, won’t you? Love me, won’t you?
“Babe, I have a gift for you,” Gabbie informs him, as he comes into the room after practice.
“A gift?” he asks, curiously.
“Yeah, just something I think you would like,” she replies, handing him a box.
He opens the box and sees a stick that looks like a thermometer in there. He shoots her a quizzical look.
“Just grab it and read the screen, babe,” she sighs, rolling her eyes at how dumb her fiance is.
“What is this? There’s two lines on this? What does that even mean?” he asks in confusion.
“Babe, what do girls take when they’re supposed to get their period and they don’t get it?” she asks in a duh tone.
“Wait is this a pregnancy test?” he asks.
“Yes, babe and on the box, it tells you what the lines mean,” she explains.
“Okay on the box it says two lines means pregnant and it has two lines,” he says, before pausing when he realizes what he just said. “You’re pregnant?”
“Isn’t that what it says?” she asks in an obvious tone.
“Is this fake?” he asks, sniffing the stick.
“Babe, I peed on that. That’s nasty!” she squeals, grabbing the stick from him.
“Wow, I can’t believe this!” he cries out in shock.
“So are you happy? Are you mad?” she asks, dying to know what he feels.
“Of course not babe! I would never get mad at you over something like this! I guess I gotta go call my mom,” he says, getting up.
“Babe, don’t tell anyone yet!” she cries out, stopping him in his tracks.
“Why not?” he asks suspiciously.
“Because I need to see my gyno first to confirm it and because I’m on my period,” she informs him, biting back the urge to laugh.
“Wait what?” he asks in confusion.
“It’s a prank, babe! I’m not actually pregnant. I got my period this morning. I just wanted to know how you would react if I really was pregnant. So congrats you passed the test!” she teases.
“That is not funny! You really scared me! I was actually starting to think about getting a bigger condo and all the shit we’d have to do and buy for a baby,” he groans, slightly ticked off.
“I’m sorry baby. It was just a harmless prank. You still love me right?” she asks, burying her face under his neck.
“Of course I do babe, but I hope you know I’m getting you back for this,: he informs her.
“I wouldn’t expect anything else,” she smiles, kissing him.
She doesn’t know how she got so lucky to have Elias Pettersson, but she thanks the Lord for bringing them together at that BC Lions game a few years back.
