Oh yeah, we're going to need Ben's help with the case of the Warriors of Hope, bc the main medium were using has issues with one of them, and we don't want her to get even more stressed than she already is.

What...? Future Foundation?

Yeah, seems like Future Foundation is doing some investigation on Hope's Peak Academy along with the Warriors of Hope as well.

From what I know so far, it seems they are investigating the place.

So why not give them a hand, I mean you guys probably could offer some help, right?

You mean you want him to help Future Foundation? I mean, Nao - I get the gesture but that seems like something only for Future Foundation and even then it be like some minor assistance, not sure if he can.

I mean...I wouldn't mind to help, after all I did help with a case prior and it did lead to a whole Division being created, so I can see what I can do.

But I'll need to speak with my colleague, Kanao about this; if what your saying about us helping Future Foundation, I don't think I can do this alone, I hope you understand.

Chapter 3: The Will to Survive | Daily Life part 1

 As then it turn night – Kobayashi Eito stood at the door of Kimura Tomoe, a person that lost her mother which it seem. As others were turning into bed which he gave a sigh except for 1 person which was Abiko Benjiro which he approaches Kobayashi Eito.

 “Your worry for her… aren’t you?”

 Benjiro had asked which cause Eito turn to him. “Yeah, actually I mean counting what happen – it’s honestly freak anyone out, wouldn’t it?” He asked which he crossed his arms. “I mean I get that Esumi-san was doing the right thing but I think it was pretty extreme…” He told him which as then Benjiro shook his head. “But then Ohta would of killed Tomoe-san… you don’t want that either, do you?” He asked which Eito stepped back surprise.

 He was pretty shock by that point and the fact the Ghost Whisperer even sided with that Journalist which he put his hand in his pocket, feeling pretty dejected about the whole thing.

 “I guess not, but we could of just talk it our or something but I did have to remember that Esumi was in a killing game so likely it would be her first response but still…” He sighed as he turn away as Benjiro watch him which as then the Ultimate Figure Skater, Mori Miwa approach him. “He seems to care for her quite a bit but yet again… she did just lose her mother.” She commented which he nodded.

 “Well let’s say he and Tomoe-san’s mothers have a history which could be why but for now I think it be best to wait until Tomoe-san is willing to talk…” He stated which he left for his room as well which the figure skater sighed.

 As then she took her leave for her bedroom as well…

  The next morning, I woke up a bit later then normal which I guess… would make sense counting what happen in the last trial and what Masa-san did, I mean… I get her action were understandable and she wasn’t breaking any of the rules but even what she did…

 She shot Ohta-san right in the head in front of Kimura-san, I mean we could of try some other way to stop it but now I just can’t help but fear Masa-san might do something reckless.

 Well even then – I better get up and get ready to head downstairs as then I did my usual routine which as I got downstairs, I enter into the dining room and seems there’s Inoue-chan, Hamasaki-san, Nakahara-san, Kobayashi-san, Abiko-san, Norman-san, Hayashi-san, Kita-san and Mori-san and Katou-san who look to be carrying dishes into the dining room.

 However one person I notice that was with us was… Masa-san which it seems everyone look to be on edge with her as she was quietly eating her breakfast, seeming to ignore the glares.

 “Oh uh hey, mornin’.” Hana-san spoke as she greeted me which I smiled at her which as then Inoue-chan seem to look pretty nervous when staring at the Journalist. “Say, can we… eat somewhere else or something?” She asked as she try to hide behind me which I guess would be a reaction as one would expect as then Abiko-san shook his head as he sat down as looking at Masa-san then at the others.

 Which as then Masa-san seem to notice the gesture. “Well, at least someone isn’t holding what I did yesterday against me.” She commented as Abiko nodded. “Well if you ask me you honestly did what you think was right…” He stated as then Norman-san spoke up. “But even still, she shot someone and as far as I’m concern, she is an even bigger threat to all of-.” “But Ohta would of killed Tomoe-san, so you rather have her die?” Masa-san asked the ringmaster who seem very conflicted with the question.

 As then Kobayashi-san scratched the back of his head. “We-Well, that maybe true but we could of talk it out or maybe keep her lock away somewhere?” He asked as trying to suggest any other alternative. “I think that maybe we should wait until Tomoe-chan says anything.” Katou-san commented as he places the last set of dishes on the table which the others seem surprise that he isn’t holding it against Masa-san.

 “Oh right, she… hasn’t left her room since yesterday, hasn’t she?” Nakahara-san stated as he looks outside the living room which Katou-san nodded. “Yep – I mean we have to wait and see if she’s okay with Masa-chan or not.” He pointed out which Hayashi-san look at him with a softer frown. “That might be a wise call, I guess will see if Tomoe-san is okay with her or not since she did in a way save her life.” She mentions.

 As then Mori-san then looks at Kita-san. “Well Tomoe-chan can’t stay in her room since she does need to eat.” She pointed out which he gave a nod. “Indeed but since we’re all here; can we discuss something about yesterday… regarding the one that made Ohta-san kill?” He asked as the others look to him.

 I did forget about that, counting that newspaper that was found yesterday and Hamoponi seem surprise by us having it as then Masa-san look at them. “Yes, it seems like… Ohta-san wasn’t suppose to see that, correct?” Masa-san asked which Kita-san nodded. “Indeed, I think he has made it clear that he is not our enemy and has try to prevent us from killing each other ever since day one so that means… someone else is trying to have us kill each other.” He pointed that out which I look surprise.

 “Wait, you think… someone is trying to have us kill each other?” I asked a very obvious question which Kobayashi-san sighed. “Well yeah – someone is trying to force us to kill each other but then the question is… who is that person?” He asked which as the others went silent as then Masa-san got up from her chair as she finishes her breakfast.

 As then Masa-san took out her notebook from her bag as she began to write down. “I think I already got a few suspects in mind; the first one I have considered is Haku Isamu, the Ultimate Debater.” She stated which those of us look at each other with confusion. “Who’s that?” Hanlon-san asked as then I turn to him. “Well, Masa-san told me that he was the mastermind of her killing game and likely might be somewhere at the resort as we speak.” I informed him which Mori-san nodded.

 “So, this Haku person might be someone we need to capture?” She asked which Masa-san nodded. “Indeed, which then the next 2 people I’ve consider is Hamoponi’s creator and the Ultimate Thief.” She brought up which all of us look at each other then at Masa-san. “Huh? Wait why them?” Inoue-chan asked as she look to the child. “Well counting when Hamoponi disappear when I asked about the Ultimate Thief, that means that they along with Hamoponi’s creator are connected or are one in the same.” She brought up which then she started to think over.

 I couldn’t help but start to think… who could that person be and why would they want us to kill each other unless Haku is the enemy then.

 As then Hamoponi appear which of course he twirls his cane around. “Well then good news but now a new area has been open!” He stated with excitement which then he went silent as he look around. “However, due to the what happen yesterday – you all can’t throw any parties, alcohol is remove completely, the greenhouse is getting renovated so it’ll be close off and those that are carrying weapons bring them to your rooms.” He stated as he looks at Hayashi-san, Kita-san and Norman-san which the ringmaster had a shock expression. “Hey for the record, this doesn’t count as a weapon!” He stated which Hamoponi turn away.

 “Well from what I’ve saw – it was use by the culprit so for the safety of the students I recommend to keep it in your room from here on out, also if your planning to hunt you must inform me in the morning… that’ll be all.” He spoke as he disappears which Kobayashi-san sighed. “I guess he is trying to protect us and… I didn’t expect a murder would happen.” He stated as Masa-san shook her head.

 “I wouldn’t blame you, you just wanted me to feel welcome but I think it’s a good thing he set up that rule but anyway – I guess I’ll be exploring the new location then.” She spoke as taking her leave.

 As then the others were quiet which as then Hayashi-san walk upstairs. “I guess I better go hide my things then, also just so we don’t have another murder – I think I’ll be locking the door as well.” She stated which Kita-san nodded. “Agree – I think it be wise to keep the others safe.” He stated as he follows after Hayashi-san who took notice of him but then she smiled a bit. “Well, glad to see another person to protect them as well but be sure to worry for yourself as well…” She stated which he and even Mori-san and Hanlon-san seem taken aback.

 “Huh? What… do you mean?” He stated as a bit surprise by this which she blinked. “Well I think the others are right that you should relax more, plus you can still rely on me if you need to.” Hayashi-san stated with a small smile which cause the sniper to blush a bit. “You… don’t need to say that but thank you – but I better head to this new location after we finish breakfast.” He stated as he headed upstairs.

 As then it seem Mori-san who look to be frowning for a moment. “Miwa-chan and Norman-kun, is everything okay?” Inoue-chan asked the figure Skater and ringmaster which the 2 look at her which of course they went silent which Mori-san shook her head. “I wouldn’t worry too much! Likely its something you won’t understand when your older~.” She stated with declaration which Norman-san chuckled to himself.

 “Exactly, while we know the bitch here won’t ever get any with her horrid attitude – I’m sure you’ll be able to get someone!” He stated as a snide remark which then Mori-san smacked Norman-san upside the head. “Oh shut up also don’t swear in front of a child!” She barked which of course Inoue-chan seem more confused by this then went to her seat. “Teenagers are weird…” Was the last thing she say as we all started to eat.

 Well, guess things were turning out okay but, I couldn’t help this likely won’t last for long…

 After finish up breakfast we all made our way to the new location – well except for Katou-san to get food for Kimura-san along as then the rest of us went to the new location which… seems there was a lot more to discover and explore however as everyone was leaving to check this place out, one person decided to stay behind.

 Kobayashi-san who was looking around then turn to me. “So then, seems we got a church along with a graveyard, a movie theatre, a stage for live performances, a monitor room of some kind and I notice a large hill with a cliff… guess we better look around then.” He commented which I gave a nod as the 2 of us began our search which the first place we went to is the Church with the graveyard.

 Despite how creepy the place was, it seems oddly calming and peaceful which I expected Abiko-san to be exploring this place. “I… do hear three spirits which indeed, are our old classmates and teacher.” He commented which Kobayashi-san scratched the back of his head. “I’m honestly not surprise you would be here…” He stated which of course the Ghost Whisperer frown for a moment then shook his head.

 “Well I guess considering how my talent is, I tend to hear the dead speak to me; I even recall visiting a graveyard when I first started to get into ghost hunting but still at least if we have anymore dead bodies… we can bury them here.” He informed us with a small smile which I guess is nice that we have this place except for the part about the ghost hunting…

 As then I look to notice three gravestones which… were those that have died, I couldn’t help but be sadden to see then as Kobayashi-san gave a sadden expression as well. “I mean… at least they get a respectful resting place.” He stated as placing his hands in his jacket pockets.

 Which I nodded as then the 2 of us made or way into the Church, it’s what you would expect from the church which is expect as any as then Kobayashi-san walk over to the alter as he look it over. “I guess if we were to pray, we can come here, confess to any sins we have done… or maybe fight a god here, whatever works.” He stated as giving a sad smile.

 I could tell the last one was a failure attempt at telling a joke to lightened the mood which he scratched his cheek as he looks around. “I guess I’ll be spending most of my time here and maybe confessing, I wonder if I have to write in a book or something…” He spoke which I blinked a bit surprise. “Huh? I never took you for the religious type.” I stated which the blue haired boy shrugged.

 “I guess it would surprise people, would it? I use to attend them when I was younger but as I got older and after mom died, our family stop going to them…” He explained which then the 2 of us took our leave as heading to what look to be a monitor room of some kind.

 Which then I notice Norman-san who seem to be looking at the door. “I guess this must be where we get monitor, hey can we get in?” I asked as I walk over to the door which Norman-san shook his head. “I actually try a bit earlier but Hamoponi pop up and say we can’t go in…” He informed me which Kobayashi-san seem surprise. “Really? Does he not want us seeing anything?” He asked which Norman-san shook his head.

 “Even if I really want to, mostly for the lovely ladies but I think he mention that only his creator is allowed entrance it seems…” He commented which he sighed as he sulked. “I didn’t even know it was the monitoring room either until he told me.” He stated which I look at the door which it say ‘monitor room’ then back at Norman-san. “But it does say so here…” I told him directly.

 This of course cause Norman-san face to go read. “O-oh… I guess I might need to brush up on my Japanese still it seems.” He stated embarrassed which Kobayashi-san seem surprise. “Huh? You… can’t read Japanese?” He asked as the ringmaster cross his arms. “We-Well can’t blame me, I’m still trying to learn the Japanese language y’know!” He huffed.

 Seems this was something he didn’t want to admit but even then… so I guess this room is off limits to us except for Hamoponi’s creator which then me and Kobayashi-san took our leave which the next place we went to is a movie theatre.

 It was pretty flashy place which look to have movies, snacks, bathrooms and even some games to play which I see Hana-san, Mori-san and Kita-san who have look to be in the location. “So I guess we have a place to watch movies…” I commented which Hana-san blinked.

 “Wait… you guys watch movies here? I was wondering why it was so flashy…” She stated which Mori-san seem a bit surprise by Hana-san’s reaction. “Wait, you never been to a movie theatre?” She asked which she seem nodded. “Well, I have watch movies on DVDs but back on my home island there is no movie theatres, only heard of it but that’s it.” She stated which now makes me more curious of her island which then the sniper looks around.

 He didn’t seem to like it very much as he cross his arms. “Well, at least we have a place to have entertainment but I don’t think I’ll be here honestly…” He commented which Kobayashi-san seem surprise. “Really? Not into movies much?” He asked which Kita-san shook his head. “I mean, I don’t mind them but I can’t handle crowds very well and flashy places like these make me uncomfortable if being honest.” He stated which Mori-san nodded. “I see then I guess if we ever go on a date, I’ll be sure to avoid this place~.” She say with a wink which he looked confused.

 “I don’t recall asking you out or anything… am I suppose to?” He asked which cause Mori-san to be shock to silence by that straight forward reaction which Hana-san look to me. “Well anyway, I guess we got some entertainment to watch if we get bored then, but let’s hope none of the films will be use for inspiration for murders or anything like that…” She stated which I nodded.

 I guess she just wants to avoid murders all together, which does make sense…

 As then me and Kobayashi-san took our leave as we made our way to this stage which looks like the type of stage you see at camps which I notice Hayashi-san and Inoue-chan were here already. “Seems like we got a stage to perform on it seems…” Kobayashi-san commented which I nodded. “Seems like it but I don’t get the point of it if we have a movie theatre already.” I brought up which Hayashi-san look to me. “Actually, I think having places like this could help us work together…” She brought up as she looks around at the seats.

 “We can watch plays we set up, perform acts, make announcements and even sing if we wish.” She stated which Inoue-chan frowned for a moment. “Well, if that’s all it’s for then I don’t think I’ll be around this place much honestly.” She stated which surprise all of us. “Really? I mean, when I was younger, I use to be in girl’s scouts unless you never been to one, I take it.” She stated which Inoue-chan shook her head. “No, more like… someone I use to be friends with had mention to me that dark things can happen behind the stage that no one would know; that maybe being the center of attention or even being ‘adorbs’ as she calls it is a bad thing…” She stated which I gave a concern look.

 “Um… Inoue-chan, are you okay?” I asked which she look to me with a shock look but then smiled. “Oh don’t worry, I just remember something when I saw this place! I think it just reminds me that maybe sometimes that it’s better to not cause attention to yourself or bad things will happen, y’know…?” She stated as giving a huge smile but I can tell right away…

 She was faking it; she seems bother about being here so maybe I shouldn’t push any further regarding which I can tell Hayashi-san and Kobayashi-san gave me a look of concern but decided to not say anything.

 As then I turn away as me and Kobayashi-san left the area as we headed to what look to be a trail and large hill with a cliff which I notice Masa-san and Nakahara-san were there already which she had her arm crossed as she looks to me. “So… this mountain, I wonder what it’s here for.” I brought up which Masa-san smiled a bit.

 “Well I notice at the end of the trail, there looks to be a cottage which I heard a story regarding that place…” She stated which Kobayashi-san seem a bit put off by this. “I could picture it’ll be something creepy coming from you…” He shuddered which Masa-san titled her head. “Well even then it’s some old legend – the story was about these 2 friends that got lost in the mountains and the 2 ended up in a cottage, one was found but the other was say to be dead…” She stated which I couldn’t tell if she was joking or being serious while Nakahara-san didn’t seem too interested which she look to the mountain.

 As I did as well which I had a concern look. “Well maybe that place could be use for thinking if anything.” I brought up which Kobayashi-san gave me an odd look. “Then let’s hope so…” He stated which then I look at the sky.

 It seem it was getting a bit late which after that I decided to return back to return back to the lodge which it became evening when I did which I saw Katou-san already there. “Oh hey, so how was the new place?” He asked as sat down which I sat down across from him. “I figure we wait for everyone else to get back here but… what about Kimura-san?” I asked which he sighed.

 I guess from that reaction it isn’t a very positive one. “We-Well when I brought up food it seems she was willing to take it which after about an hour or so later, I came back up and saw the dish on the floor.” He stated which I look to the ground.

 I… really hope she’s okay, counting she can’t be in that room forever but even then I guess she would need to cope with the fact her mother just died recently so maybe it’s best to let her mourn for her but then I got up. “I… need to check up on her.” I stated as Katou-san seem nervous. “Are you sure?” He asked which I nodded. “Yes, she can’t be in that room of hers so maybe I can go and-.” Which just as I was about to the others came back inside.

 “Well then, I guess we got quite a bit to talk about what we discover, correct?” Kobayashi-san had asked which Katou-san seem interested. “Well if you can, I really am curious what we got to explore!” He stated.

 Everyone told Katou-san about the new location however, my interest was at the stairs that lead to our bedrooms which…

 Kimura-san, I… really hope you can come out. I think everyone is worry about you and-.

 “Fuji-san…?” I was startled by a voice which I turn to see it was Masa-san who seem to be the only person there which then she looks up at where I staring at. “I guess… your worry for Tomoe-san, correct?” She asked which I nodded which she crosses her arms.

 Clearly one can tell that she was a bit sad. “I mean, I get that the others want to leave her alone but… I don’t think her mother would want her to be in her room forever.” She stated which I look surprise. “Really?” I asked which Masa-san nodded.

 “Indeed – while sad as losing a love one such as family maybe but I think if that person were alive, they would be saddening how that person is using their life like this – which if I know Mrs. Kimura would not want her daughter to be like this… she would want her to live on, gain the will to live if you will.” She explained which I was a bit surprise.

 The will to live…?

 I never really thought of it and I sighed. “I… can see why, counting it took me a while to get over the death of my parents and…” I went silent as then Masa-san went quiet which she spoke. “Her…? Correct?” She asked which I nodded which then she spoke. “Yeah I, do recall hearing the story that you were the survivor of a tragic car accident which your parents had die trying to protect and… she was in a coma, correct?” She asked which I cross my arms as tightening my grip.

 As then Masa-san look away. “I don’t mean to bring up such a dark topic but it makes me wonder if you’re handling your situation is all but… I do think that telling someone close to you about these issues of yours otherwise it’ll eat you up or you’ll never fine peace with it.” She stated which she sighed. “Which… I guess could apply to me after thinking over my own experience in the killing game which I had one person where… they let me cry.” She spoke which I blinked.

 “Cry… you actually cry?” I asked which the blonde journalist nodded. “Indeed, he… was someone that I rely a lot to help me and even was there for me when I needed them, which… I could never thank him for; someone that protected me, someone that was there for me, someone I…” “loved?” I asked as Masa-san looked a bit surprise which she gripped her fist as she look away.

 She looks to be a bit upset by that question which she look to the ground. “I… guess, I mean I’m not even sure myself but I felt… I took him for granted at times, but if he made it out alive then I want to thank him properly if I ever get out of here as well… which is why I’m going to try and find a way to speak with him if I can… Reiji-kun, I’m…” She stated as then she took her leave.

 “Lo-Look, I better get going… I’m sorry, Fuji-san but I must leave it’s getting late…” She spoke before I could ask about this ‘Reiji’ person.

 I cross my arms as I started to think… to express my concerns to someone, but who would that be…?

 What is your reason to live? You all must have one otherwise that be one life wasted like for me; I live on due to my creator which my will is to serve them otherwise I serve no purpose but yet again horses have proven themselves to be useful!

Well... I wouldn't say that all are, just my fair share of them has lead me to having a headache...

The dead only want one thing to do, just their unfinished business dealt with and then they move on.

Indeed and it's especially the case for the tragedy, given so many have died and suffer that sometimes their spirits will linger and wait for those with a 6th sense to help ease their pain then move on.

But sometimes it can be quite tiresome; I think my lease favorites are those that don't want to admit they are wrong or politicians... they are truly tiresome.

Yes...I suppose I can but I do get tired from hearing the dead even in my sleep, especially during the tragedy given many people have died.

Hearing the screams of them dying doesn't help with a sleep schedule, if anything it gives me a headache.

Ah right, you did mention that when sleeping you can hear voices too; yeah that probably makes your tired, sorry about that.

It's fine, often I do have some headphones that listen to calming music to help with my sleep schedule so that helps a bit but yes, I do work with ghost and spirits, I'm rather surprise how my abilities with solving cases.

Damn, I was surprise you were able to contact the spirits, I mean I was a bit skeptical about you saying you can 'hear the dead' but you were able to make a spirit come forward is really cool!

DTFA Lore Bit: Next Generation Of Hope

As both Future Foundation and the Kisaragi Foundation were formed at the start of the tragedy, the next generation of Hope was due to the ideals of Future Foundation causing conflict with some of its members due to one person that wanted to join but never got to because of her status.

Fuji Okamoto, a public speaker that was going to help with PR along with Takuya Akitani, Class 70’s Ultimate Linguist has suddenly died while Satoko Kamiki, Class 56’s Ultimate Mathematician was chosen instead of which Fuji was rejected.

This cause some former Ultimates to leave Future Foundation due to Fuji’s treatment and thus the creation of the Next Generation of Hope was born by Shinji Kasai Class 49’s Ultimate Firefighter, while unofficial and not as organize as the other 2 Foundations - the Next Generation of Hope is much more open to anyone joining and very chill with who joins but it has a bit of a screening issue of who can join.

Regardless if you were a part of Hope’s Peak Academy or not, if you are spreading hope during the tragedy and helping people then you’ll be considered a likely member but as say there are some requirements to join like you have to be above the age of 18 to join for one such example.

How you get an invitation to join is either by mail, email or personally invited which does tend to vary depending on how you join the organization, you can accept or reject the invitation if you wish.

While you don’t need to wear a uniform of any sort, you are given an ID Card that shows you are a member which you can put into your wallet if you want to.

The Next Generation of Hope doesn’t even have an offical headquarters and has used an old firehouse that isn’t very secure but does have a scanner for years. There has been some reconsideration to make one…

Usually meetings tend to happen at the end of the month for 3 days, it’s to introduce new members, update the memory back-up disc as requested by Yuri Kagarin and update on any activities your doing - meetings could go longer if something very urgent has happened such as the Pig Boy situation for one such example.

Due to there not being any Living Quarters, the members often stay at a hotel that is close by and will stay there for a few days.

There are many members that joined the organization but coming to the meeting isn’t mandatory, but it is recommended that you come to get your memories scanned if you can.

While not completely unorganised people are set into certain groups based on the occupation you are doing.

Members also need to require regular medical check-ups which ranges from blood tests, vaccinations, physicals, disease tests, radiation screenings and MRIs - to name a few.

All members are required to be organ donors if in case something happens and someone needs an organ.

Due to the killing school life and how Class 78 had their memories removed, all members of the Next Generation of Hope have a sub-dermal tracking device on their person and is very hard to remove meaning that if they were kidnapped they can be tracked down.
