❃ Eastern and Southeastern Asians Facecast Help❃
Note: :D hi,  I’m tired of people casting the wrong facecast for characters in creations. So, I made a list.
Please stop interchanging East Asians and Southeast Asians (whether between the two or within).
Even with this list and other sources, please be sure to double-check every faceclaim you use in your creations/works, thank you.
List posted 10/6/2020
Updated 12/25/2020
Disclaimer:
Please let me know if there are any errors.
The creator of this list doesn’t have that much knowledge of South Asian celebrities and models. Please refer to other lists, thank you.
I didn’t include people from all Southeast Asian countries.

DW Potential Additions Tier List
So I made some spreadsheets but decided I was putting in too much work so here’s a quick summary.
I was grading on a scale of 1-5. 1 was characters I really don’t htink would add anything good, but who I thought some might suggest (like Cao Zhi, Jia Nanfeng, Pan Zhang, Zhao Guang, Zhang Ren, etc.) 2 is people who could maybe work under very specific circumstances, like a big narrative shift or a lot of related characters being added, or who might be fine but aren’t nearly as good as some other options (like Cheng Yu, Cao Xi, Wu Jing, Mi Zhu, or Gao Gan). These don’t really make the cut for discussion, so if you don’t see a name you’re expecting, I probably put them in one of those tiers for some reason.
Tier 3 are characters who would be fine. Just fine. They either did enough to make themselves noteworthy, or have enough of a connecting to existing narrative and cast that they’d probably add something worthwhile. Not the ones I’d be most excited about, but the ones I couldn’t make too many complaints over.
Tier 4 are great adds. Characters I really want to see, who could really expand the cast in worthwhile ways.
Tier 5 are characters I forget aren’t in these games already because why are they not here?
I’m not going to explain every decision here because I’m sure there will be followup questions. Yes, I’m aware that Jin is overrepresented, because it’s the smallest of the main factions.

Water roux

Smart solution to detect seafood spoilage
Importantly, Flinders University's Professor of Aquaculture Jian Qin -- who led the study with Flinders colleague Professor Youhong Tang ¬- says this simple device could become commercially viable and enable a "real-time" monitoring of spoilage in seafood to ensure food safety for consumers.
The first author of this publication was Professor Yonghua Jiang, a visiting scholar from Jimei University, China. She estimates that this device can be a major cost saver for the seafood industry and retailers, as spoilage accounts for at least 10% of all seafood production.
The core of the new spoilage analysis technology is understanding that biogenic amines play an important physiological function of living cells, but a high level of biogenic amines in seafood has an adverse impact on human health and can cause food poisoning.
Therefore, biogenic amines have become important indicators for the evaluation of food freshness and edibility -- and reading these amines can be done by a simple and cost-effective method using the filter papers loaded with an AIEgen, such as dihydroquinoxaline derivative (H + DQ2), to monitor salmon spoilage.
The research found that as spoilage in the salmon samples increased, triggering more amine vapours, so too did the intensity of the readings on the treated filter papers.
Results from the study -- Semi-quantitative Evaluation of Seafood Spoilage Using Filter-paper Strips Loaded With an Aggregation-induced Emission Luminoge, by Yonghua Jiang, Zhaowei Zhong, Weixin Ou, Haoming Shi, Parvej Alam, Ben Zhong Tang, Jian Qin and Youhong Tang -- have been published in the journal Food Chemistry.
"This study provides a quick and simple way for testing amine vapour from fish and provides baseline information for developing an easy-to-use, on-site method to evaluate seafood quality for customers," says Professor of Materials Engineering Youhong Tang, from Flinders University's Institute of NanoScale Science and Technology and Medical Device Research Institute.
The research team will now do further optimisation tests on the paper strips and the AIEgen loading, to provide a more robust solution for daily usage towards commercial applications.
The team also wants to allign the AIEgen loaded paper strips with smartphone apps to transfer information for quantitative evaluation.

2018 Polymer Chemistry Emerging Investigator – Polymer Chemistry Blog
Tumblr media
23 Jan 2020 This week’s issue of Polymer Chemistry is our 2020 Emerging Investigators issue , which contains articles from polymer chemistry researchers in the early stages of their independent careers and is accompanied by an Editorial from Editor-in-Chief Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik . To celebrate this issue we are delighted to feature the profile of Professor Rongrong Hu , who published in our 2018 Emerging Investigators issue. Below, Rongrong talks about her research journey, from student to Professor, and her feelings towards Polymer Chemistry! “With my organic synthesis training as an undergraduate student at Peking University where I learned the great diversity of organic reactions, and the research experiences on luminescent polymer materials during my PhD study at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where I learned the fascinating functionalities that polymers could achieve, I tried to combine organic synthesis and polymer synthesis in my research after I started my career in 2014. We utilize efficient organic reactions for the development of new polymerization methodology and the exploration of new polymer structures and materials. After 5 years of research, I am fully convinced by the huge opportunity that comes with this interdisciplinary study. Polymer Chemistry, with its topics highly focused on the synthesis, functionalities, and applications of polymers, always provides timely publication and best publishing experiences on exciting progress in the field. It can also sensitively catch new research trend and young polymer chemists. In the 2018 Emerging Investigator issue, we introduced our work about room temperature alkyne and sulfonyl azide-based multicomponent polymerizations, which represent efficient approaches for the convenient construction of polymers with unique structures and functionalities. Encouraged by the broad response of this paper, we further developed several elemental sulfur-based multicomponent polymerizations with practical implication. Most recently, I joined Polymer Chemistry as an Associate Editor, working with the top polymer chemists in the world, to look for most up-to-date innovative and exciting polymer chemistry.” Read Rongrong’s 2018 Emerging Investigators series paper below! Squishy ‘Rubik’s Cube’ could one day store tons of data
A new cube of colored hydrogel blocks might inspire new ways  to store and detect information and possibly even help patients monitor their medical conditions.
The cube, which looks and acts like a Rubik’s Cube, contains rotatable individual rows and columns; manipulating them changes the color pattern on the cube’s six faces.
But unlike the rigid plastic of a Rubik’s Cube, the new structure is made of a self-healing hydrogel, a squishy polymer material that can absorb large amounts of water and form new chemical bonds when old bonds break.
A researcher grabs the hydrogel Rubik’s Cube-like structure. (Credit: Xiaofan Ji)
Like a physical QR code
The team came up with the structure as part of a larger effort to find new ways to encode information into physical objects.
“Think of QR codes, which are patterns of black and white pixels on a two-dimensional surface used to store information,” says Jonathan Sessler, a professor of chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin and coauthor of the paper in the journal Advanced Materials.
“We’re exploring ways to encode information in patterns of color and in three dimensions, theoretically leading to a much higher information density.”
Mathematicians estimate that there are roughly 43 quintillion—that’s 43 times 10 to 18th power—unique configurations of a Rubik’s Cube, suggesting one cube could store a vast amount of information.
“Over a short time, you can manipulate the interactions between the little blocks,” Sessler says. “It’s sticky, but they aren’t getting stuck. Then over a longer time, say 24 hours, the structure locks into place.”
Remixing hydrogel blocks
Scientists colored the 27 building blocks in the cube using a new class of fluorescent dots invented by Ben Zhong Tang, a chemist at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Xiaofan Ji, a former postdoctoral researcher at University of Texas at Austin, now working in Tang’s lab, led the project.
When parts of a self-healing hydrogel tear apart and then reattach in a different orientation, new chemical bonds form to hold it in the new configuration. One of the challenges with making the new squishy Rubik’s Cube was to make the bonds weak enough that people could easily rotate rows by hand, yet strong enough for the whole structure to retain its shape.
Researchers will have to do more work before they can apply the innovation to data storage, or for other applications, such as in wearable sensors monitoring a patient’s chemical changes, for example, in someone with diabetes.
Blast from the past
In the 1980s, Sessler used mathematics to find different series of rotations that he could use to rearrange color patterns on a Rubik’s Cube in a controlled way. With enough time, he could take a scrambled cube and restore it to its original condition, with solid colors on each face.
“I’d be at a party and somebody would throw me a Rubik’s Cube,” Sessler says. “And I’d go off in the corner and solve it in a socially acceptable amount of time—something like 10 or 20 minutes.”
“Now,” with this new Rubik’s Cube all we have to do is pull it apart and stick the blocks back together where we want. We can solve the problem in seconds by using the power of chemistry to cheat.”
The National Science Foundation of China, the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong, the Science and Technology Plan of Shenzhen, the Innovation and Technology Commission (China), the US National Science Foundation, and the Robert A. Welch Foundation funded the work.

New Post has been published on http://kpopmusicstory.co/%ec%a4%91%ea%b5%ad-%eb%85%b8%eb%9e%98-%ec%b6%94%ec%b2%9c%ec%98%81%ed%99%94-%ec%86%8c%eb%85%84%eb%b0%98-%ec%a3%bc%ec%a0%9c%ea%b3%a1-%e4%bd%a0%e6%9b%be%e6%98%af%e5%b0%91%e5%b9%b4%eb%84%8c/
  왼쪽->오른쪽 : Hebe, Ella, Selina

Note
The ROTKXIII PUK just revealed some new officers, any of these guys worth researching? Wang Chen, Guo Ma, Hé céng? (not sure if this is the correct name, that's what google translate gave me from 何曾), He Zhen, Cen Hun, Xie Jing, Li Li/Li Lifeng? (李豊), Zhang Nan, Jiǎng xiǎn? (蒋顕), Ju Hu, Sun Zhen, Ning Sui? (甯随), Wu Yan, Ju An? (句安), Hu Yuan, Shao Ti, Tang Bin, Shi Huan.
Without context I can’t guarantee these are the people you’re talking about, but as near as I can tell:
In brief:
Wang Chen: Nephew of Wang Yun, brother of the more famous Wang Ling. When Li Jue and Co. stormed Chang’an, Wang Chen and his brother Wang Ling escaped and fled back home to Taiyuan. In later years, Wang Ling joined Cao Cao and became a very powerful official - although he died in shame after plotting rebellion against Sima Yi.
Guo Ma: A Wu officer, he was stationed in Nanhai. He led a revolt there but was killed by Tao Huang.
He Ceng/Zeng: One of Wei’s most eminent scholars. He was a major official during the time of the Sima regime and during the early years of the Jin dynasty. He was regarded as one of the finest academics of his generation.
He Zhen: A poet who was friends with Yang Hu.
Cen Hun: A much despised officer of Wu. He was a close friend and confidant to Sun Hao.
Xie Jing: A subordinate of Lu Xun. He played a leading role in mopping up Liu Bei’s supporters in Jing after Guan Yu’s defeat in 219, defeating several groups of loyalists.
Li Feng: a Wei politician, he was considered brilliant from a young age. He rose through the ranks at court and, after Cao Rui’s death, he became the right hand of Dowager Guo. Among other things, he was the mastermind behind the plot to assassinate Sima Shi, for which he was executed. (There are minor figures from Shu and Zhong by this same mane, but it’s likely the Wei politician.)
Zhang Nan: An officer of Shu. He joined Liu Bei when he was in Jing in the early 200s. During the eastern campaign (221-222) he was one of the vanguard leaders. He was killed during Shu’s defeat.
Jiang Xian: An official from Shu. He was the one who delivered Liu Shan’s orders to Jiang Wei telling him to surrender.
Ju Hu/Ju Gu: Son of Yuan Shao’s advisor Ju Shou. In 204 he was in command of a garrison at Handan, in Zhao. While campaigning against Yuan Shang, Cao Cao stormed Handan and defeated him.
Sun Zhen: An officer of Wu and grandson of Sun Ben. He participated in Zhang Ti and Zhuge Jing’s attempt to resist Jin but was killed in battle.
Ning Sui: A fictional character; one of Jiang Wei’s generals.
Wu Yan: Several people by this name, and without characters I can’t be sure which one this is but I suspect it was the Wu general [吾彥]. Administrator of Jianping, he noticed debris from Wang Jun’s navy floating down the river and warned Sun Hao of the coming invasion, though he was ignored. He held out in Jianping against the Jin forces until Sun Hao surrendered.
Ju An/Gou An: A fictional officer of Shu.
Hu Yuan: Son of Hu Lie, he played a leading role in putting down Zhong Hui’s rebellion.
Shao Ti: A noted academic of Wei and trusted adviser to Sima Zhao. He was an accomplished scholar, though he is mostly remembered as one of the people who warned Sima Zhao not to trust Zhong Hui.
Tang Bin: An officer of Jin, he was a trusted subordinate to Wang Jun and played a leading role in Wu’s conquest.
Shi Huan: An early follower of Cao Cao. He was noted for helping Cao Ren kill Sui Gu in 199, and for destroying one of Yuan Shao’s supply convoys with Xu Huang in 200. Little else is recorded about him.
