In this hypothetical scenario Beatrice is not clearly a prisioner, at least it seems like not, she decided to stay with Wirt because she feels really bad for him and thinks it would be unfair and cruel to just leave him alone in this state, but Beatrice doesn't try to directly snap him out of it like mostly would do, because Beatrice knows how Wirt used to be like before the deal, and comparing to him now, she has a idea of how delicate is Wirt's mental state has become. Beatrice knows he needs help more than anything, she doesn't know how to properly take care of him but she knows pretty well that the last thing he needs is to be left alone, so Beatrice will stay with Wirt willingly, no matter how creepy or annoying he can get (of course, she doesn't know about the murdering part)

While Wirt, finally has someone to talk to! At first he was waiting for the moment Beatrice would say she has to go, but any time he asks her if she wants to leave, Beatrice has always denied it, and until now she has even stayed longer than any other person before! So Wirt is so happy to have her around, not only because it is a human who actually wants to stay with him but also because it's Beatrice! It makes him kinda relieved the fact that someone who knew him before doesn't see him as a monster but his old self, it makes him feel like a normal person again. However, he hasn't revealed 'the hunting' to Beatrice, Wirt is afraid that if she ever knows about the horrible things he has done she would hate him, or even worse! Beatrice would be afraid of him! And so, Wirt wouldn't have any other choice but to cut her down with the axe, which is something he doesn't want to happen by any means

Now, how would The Beast feel about this? He knows about Beatrice and has an eye on her, but that's it, he doesn't try to actually get her out of the way. In fact! The Beast is trying to see if he can play the same cards on her as he did with Wirt, since Beatrice has been actually helping Wirt with the wood recollection and occasionally has actually fed the lantern herself, The Beast is starting to reconsider that maybe Wirt could have some human help.
