Created this account to share my art but im still figuring out how to use this.

I love bayonetta games and i’ve been doing many drawings of her lately so you’ll probably see her quite often.

This one is a bit of some of my hcs. I like to think B2 is the one that has no filter and makes B1 and B3 laugh with her comments. We were so robbed from seeing them interact more, I really would’ve liked to see their dynamic like the 3 spidermans

hey so you know that thing that a bunch of medias are doing now. where the whole premise is exploring abrahamic/judeochristian mythology and cosmology and being like "Hey this is pretty fucked up" and making god/the angels/heaven the bad guys actually? Good Omens did it, Hazbin Hotel did it, Darksiders did it, the Salvation Wars did it, just as some examples. EDIT: just remembered, The Good Place kinda does this, Bayonetta defs does this, and as far as i know the devil may cry games are kinda like this too? And then they are about how some of the concepts of either abrahamic or (usually just) the christian religion is bad? And also they are kinda edgy too i've noticed. And also they can be like the first thing to open the eyes of people in that religion to some contradictions in theology and also some bad stuff that that religion is/does?

First: is there a name for this trope, genre or concept?

Second: is there any media that does the same but for other religions? like, using buddhism as an example: the equivalent might be if there was a hypothetical edgy anti-buddhist anime about the characters realizing "hey nirvana is bad actually let's stay in the cycle of samsara where all of our loved ones and cool earthly possessions are" and then buddha and an army of boddhisatvas come down to try to stop them or something? and it would also probably touch on the problematic traits of the ways buddhism is used to hurt people? that's kinda the vibe of the edgy anti-christian media i listed, and so I'm curious if this is mostly a western thing made about christianity or if there are (popular modern) works that do that

A child who carries the weight of the world

The young sage is often plagued by nightmares, so bad that the Lumen elder has to intervene to comfort the boy.

No one knows why Balder is plagued by these nightmares, even the Lumen Elder was impotent although he can predict the future of every single individual, but the boy was different...he was trapped in time.

Many rejected the boy because he could not use alchemy or healing arts at his age, but the Lumen Elder was the only one who believed in the young sage and this proved to be true when the boy was given feathers by the great angel Fortitudo himself, with these feathers he was able to sew his first lumen robe which he would grow into.

\\\\I think it's such a shame that we never really saw the Lumen Elder in the game, in the anime, it was just a single image, I just think it's a shame that the Lumen Sages were generally thrown in the trash and almost nothing was made of them. I mean c'mon give me a badass sage who kills demons with holy Style even If It's Balder, I just need to see how badass it can be when sages kills demons bc so many people think Demons are way stronger than Angels\\\\

I nerded out I’m so sorry (for the two polls) this is a loooong one guys

I’m not picking favorites I love them both and I’m not even gonna lie I do believe Pino could hold his own against Bayonetta but I feel a fight between them would end in a tie, they both have a pretty good chance at killing each other though I can’t lie.

Bayonetta is canonically crazy strong like catching tram cars, tossing around colossal dragon, kicking jets out the sky one of her main demons head butted and shattered a meteor and all of this is without a struggle. She’s also has superhuman speed and agility, she has survived explosions fightings gods etc

Infernals: Bayonetta summons these giant demons during battle as an assist and the most powerful one is madama butterfly who’s responsible for Bayonetta’s wicked weaves n stuff (the demons limbs coming out to kick or punch you) but the demons CAN die/be put out of commission as seen in Bayonetta 3 so P could probably smack around a demon for a while 🤷🏾‍♀️

She has a wide arsenal of weapons but she’s most famously known for her guns that she wears on her heels and has two more in her hands all crafted by a demon. Her bullets can easily go through concrete

Witch time: Bayonetta can temporarily slow time She can also turn into different animals like panthers, crows, bats etc and in Bayonetta 3’s case she can merge with her demons.

Bayonetta has two major weaknesses and that’s her Umbran clock and the fact that she can literally be knocked out her body and dragged down to hell.

I know P has his arm and stuff like that, like I said before he could definitely hold his own

The reason I said it would be a tie is because I cant see them having a whole death battle but there is two ways for P to win and that’s by either tiring Bayonetta out so when she tries to summon it goes wrong and the demon will turn against her knocking her out of her body or he could possibly get a good hit on her Umbran clock and breaking it which could cause the same affects as the first way and the third most affective way he could win is by spamming those damn throwables.

If you strip Bayonetta of all her abilities and it’s just weapon to weapon I think P would have a higher chance of winning it would still probably result in a tie in my eyes though

I didn’t even bring up their characters Bayonetta dosent really fight to kill unless it’s angles and stuff but other than that I doubt she’d take him seriously so he’d end up getting the Loki treatment and getting adopted/j

But based on what I’ve seen P is straight hands he is a menace his ass probably don’t believe in ties 💀

But in my eyes they lowkey balance each other out in a way

I haven’t played much of devil may cry but Dante ends p any day sorry😭

Makoto: (Finishes her Assignment While Sitting on her Couch) ('Sigh') Okay. There's a three more questions to answer left. ('Starts Yawning a Bit') Might be more trickier than the last, but-

Makoto: (Picks her Phone Up From the Coffee and Answers the Call) Hello?

???: (Calling From the Other Line) Makoto?

Makoto: (Immediately Recognizes the Voice) Oh hi sis. How's it going? (Smirks a Tad Bit Playfully) Is your date night with Dr. Takemi-san going well so far?~

Sae: ('Sigh') It went as well as we hoped. (Rolls her Eyes) 'Till a certain Ren-Ren came by the café, covered in bruises.

Makoto: (Eyes Widened in Complete Shock as She Quickly Gets Up From her Seat) WHAT!? HOW!? WHY!? W-WHAT HAPPENED!!?

Sae: He got himself into a bar fight. Apparently some..he.. big demon guy came in and punched him out of nowhere.

Ren: (Voice is Heard on the Other Line) Don't forget he has horns!

Sae: ('Sigh') Big demon guy with horns, punched him.

Makoto: ('Sighs in a Bit of Relief') I take it he's doing okay right now, huh?

Sae: Yep. His injuries will take a little while to heal properly though. Wanna talk to him?

Makoto: Yes, please.

Sae: (Gives Ren her Phone) Ren, here. And please refrain yourself from making my little sister worry more than she already is right now.

Ren: When have I ever made your sister more worried about me?

Sae: .........................

Ren: N-Nevermind. I see your point. (Starts Speaking to Makoto Thru the Phone) Hey, honey. How are you tonight?

Makoto: (Sits Back Down on the Couch) Worried about you as always. Was what sis told me just now is true?

Ren: ('Sigh') Yeah, I got my ass handed to me earlie-AHHAHA! (Suddenly Winces in Pain)

Tae: (Speaking on the Other Line) I can't treat your wounds properly if you gonna keep jumping around like that, Guinea Pig.

Ren: Well, maybe WARN me before you start rubbing that on my cheeks! It stings like hell!

Tae: Well, using 91% of Rubbing Alcohol could do that to ya. Best you can do is wise up and take it like a man. (Continues Rubbing a Alcohol Filled Cotton onto Ren's Bruised Cheeks as She Snickers a Bit at the Sound of his Pain Enduced Pain) You baby.

Makoto: Best to listen to the doctor, Ren. You can do it~

Ren: You're laughing at my misery too, aren't you?

Makoto: (Trying Her Hardest Not to Expose Herself in her Laughing) N-No! No, of course not, I would never. ('Clears Throat') I'm just happy hear you speaking.

Ren: (Smiles Softly) Good. I'm sorry I made you worried for like the hundreth time now.

Makoto: Actually, you've made me worried one hundred and thirty seventh time in the row thus far.

Ren: (Sounds Surprised) Oh god. It's THAT many?

Makoto: (Snickers Again) No, I just made those numbers up. But it is close to that. But in all seriousness though, for real this time, how are you feeling right now?

Ren: Well, other than exhaustion and stingy amount of- PAIN! (Felt an Alcohol Filled Cotton Touched his Cheek Again)

Tae: Sorry. Forgot to warn that time.

Ren: (Let's Out a Heavy Sigh) I'm just glad to be home right now.......

Makoto: ('Sigh') You and me both. I always figured going to college would be an advanced challenge, but I didn't imagine it would be this tiring....

Ren: Yeah, it tends to do that to your psyche. But don't give in just yet. I know you have what it takes to make it big one day.

Makoto: (Happily Nodded to Ren's Words) I never planned on it. Do you....still want to work at the bar after what happened earlier?

Ren: Yeah, I think so. The bar fight sucked, but I'm not gonna let it get to me forever. I'm more worried for Uncle Rodin if anything.

Makoto: Oh right, Mr. Rodin! How is he? Is he okay?

Ren: Last time I saw him, he was pulverizing the big, horns guy to a pulp hard enough to transform into his Devil form. No way in hell I'm getting near that crossfire.

Omega: Ren, your mothers are calling you on your portable phone. Shall I answer and give them the update of the current situation?

Ren: No! Omega, whatever you do, don't answer that call! Just let it ring.

Makoto: (Eyes Begins to Widened Again) What!?

Sae: Ren Amimaya, are you planning on keeping this under wraps from your own mothers?

Ren: Not forever! Just for tonight. And maybe in the morning too.....

Makoto: (Sighs While Pinching the Bridge of her Nose) Oh my god, Ren.....

Sae: ('Sigh') Dear lord......

Tae: Wait, time out. You have moms now, Guinea Pig?

Ren: Yep. A witch and a goddess. My actual parents disowned me long while ago, so they decided to adopt me as their own. You should need 'em sometime they're great

Makoto: How about meeting them right now, Doctor?

Ren: ('Sigh') Makoto-

Makoto: Nonono. Don't you "Makoto" me, mister. You know as well as I do that not telling them will only lead to more problems.

Ren: I know that! But they're on their anniversary date right now and the last I want to do is ruin it by making them worry. And possibly killing Uncle Rodin.

Omega: Phone is still calling!

Ren: Keep letting it ring, big guy! They'll quit eventually.

Makoto: Highly doubt it.

Sae: You realize you're delaying inevitable, right?

Ren: The inevitability for me to fall asleep?

Sae: ..........You know what I'm talking about.

Tae: You are really poking a hornet's nest here, aren't you, Guinea Pig?

Ren: Just being cautious here. It's not like they're gonna drop everything and come over-

Futuba: (Downstairs) OH REN!~ YOU GOT SOME COMPANY!~

Ren: ......It's.....probably Ryuji or-

Bayonetta: RENNYYYYYYYYYYYY!~

Palutena: WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUU!?~

Sae: You were saying?~

Ren: ('Sighs in Defeat') Already standing corrected. Omega, tell them I'm upstairs, will ya?

Omega: Affirmative.

Omega's footsteps echoes through Makoto's phone a bit.

Makoto: (Smirks Playfully) I'm guessing it's time for you see to see your mommies now, hm?~

Ren ('Sigh') Seems like it.....Congrats, Doc, it looks like you'll be meeting them after al- AH! SERIOUSLY!?

Tae: Apologies. The excitement got best of me there.

Ren: LIAR!

Sae: Ren Amimaya, are you accusing my girlfriend of lying!?

Ren: YES I-

Sae: ........................

Ren: No! Nope....I-I'm not accusing anyone.

Sae: You better not.

Makoto: (Giggles Softly at Her Love One's Banters Between One Another) As much as I would love to hear more of your banters, I really have to get back and finish up my assignments for the night. But I'll come by and visit you first thing tomorrow morning, okay?

Ren: Sure thing. Make you get some sleep afterwards, alright?

Makoto: (Giggles Softly) Worrying about me now, aren't we?~

Ren: Can't have you looking out for my well being and not do the same, you know?

Makoto: I suppose not. I love you so much, Ren-Ren~

Ren: I love you too, my queen~

'Ahem'

Makoto: ('Sigh') And I love you as well, sis. Thank you so much for looking out for my boyfriend this evening.

Sae: Don't mention it. Your Ren-Ren has been a pain in a neck as always-

Ren: Hey!

Sae: But he's still a good boy regardless.

Tae: You forgot the reckless part, 'hon.

Sae: Ah, yes sorry. He's a good, reckless boy, I mean.

Tae: Okay, that one was actually on purpose this time~

Ren: (Gritting his Teeth) I can see that, Doc.......

Makoto: (Syarts Giggling Once More) Okay~ I see you three are clearly busy now, so I'll leave you be then. Have a goodnight!~

As the phone call finally ends, Makoto begins to let out a huge sigh of relief before going back to her assignment studies for the rest of the nest.

why was this my only thought and why did I half expect this to actually happen in game

Ok I tried dragging myself through more Nier: Automata to see if it'd finally click for me, and after 5-6 hours total it's just not my thing. I did finally get to read/watch some stuff about it that I'd been saving for multiple years to avoid spoilers, and for the people it works for it sounds super interesting, but they all had pretty much completely the opposite experience with it from mine. Kinda wish I could've too, but oh well.

I guess I'll throw in a couple other things to give an idea of what I was expecting and other people seem to have gotten out of it.

For a compelling and well-developed world and story with plenty of philosophical and religious themes there's the Xenoblade games. Really any of the Xeno games, including Xenogears and Xenosaga, but for me personally I feel like the more recent Xenoblade games pulled it off better as their storytelling matured over time compared to the earlier very ambitious but sometimes kinda messy Xeno games.

And for a tight and fluid action combat system with plenty of depth that's also made by Platinum there's Bayonetta 2. I'm not amazing at it, but it's constantly satisfying and always offers you multiple routes to improve your skill at the game, which is pretty rewarding when things start to fall into place.

And then for something I absolutely did not expect to be at all like what I expected Nier: Automata to be like but turned out to be a lot more like that expectation in the end than Nier was for me I'm going to go with Harvestella of all things. There are plenty of locations and story elements that would be right at home in a Xenoblade or Nier game, which I totally did not see coming. It also has a fantastic soundtrack, and on top of all that you still get to be near a tomato too.

This has honestly been an idea for the Tamer/Sleuth for awhile but I imagine they dress a bit similary to Lan from Battle Network even got the heelies

This is a blast from the past as I watched the show and played Megaman Battle Network as a kid. Best outfit for Tamer/Sleuth to wear honestly. They would have a lead or grappling hook just so they can hitch a ride on vehicles with their heelies as if water skiing.

What thoughts, feelings, and opinions do you think Stolas (and Octavia) would be having when reading this part?

Magical Animation? Well Magical books almost seem like a goetian custom so why not? Makes it easier to see them reacting to the full visuals anyway. I feel both of them would find Cereza's appearance charming, still cutesy but in a gothic way, honestly wouldn't put it past either of them to dress like that at Cereza's age, while also finding the long braid a whimsical detail without knowing the significance of it yet. I could so see Octavia getting scared at the part with the cruel shadows yelling at Cereza, and Stolas just pulls her close, taking a pause to assure her it's just a story, but still waiting until she's ready to continue. While keeping his own feelings to himself. The shadows probably reminding him of all the cruel people who treated him like that, secretly hoping Cereza ends up able to grow up without that. That hope partially get's fulfilled when Jeanne shows up, even though she seems harsh in this first appearance, Stolas has had a friend like that, and Jeanne's red outfit only reminds him of that friend even more, and Octavia completely unaware of her fathers feelings is just happy Cereza has a friend in her situation, and even though this part ends with them separated, both readers have a bit more hope, knowing Cereza has someone to back her up.
