I think one of my favorite things about the Sunfire Elves Heat Being Mode is that it can be activated through most strong emotions and in fact one of their stories about the first elf to activate that mode was a gay warrior who after confessing his love to his comrade and getting kissed got so happy he escaped death by entering the Heat Being Mode

Even when he's battered and bruised, seeing this dumbass will never not give him a feeling of lightness, something that almost makes him float. He just wipes at the cut across his cheek with his sleeve. Everything hurts, his whole body is sore but, this is their victory and nothing else matters.

Katsuki just looks glorious, fist raised high above his head, declaring his undeniable success, even with pinks and purples decorating his skin, he's gorgeous. From the tips of that unruly mop of hair, to the shit eating grin stretching on his lips, to the soles of his boots. With Katsuki at his side he's feeling invincible.

He just reaches a hand out, cupping the side of Katsukis face and leans in for a kiss.

first of all: haha gortash i am fucking your old bodyguard

second of all: karlach is a beacon of hope to rue regardless and she looks up to her a lot.

its golden retriever & black cat energy. rue (being a tiefling and using dnd rules) has fire resistance so i like to think it doesnt hurt her as much to hold karlach during the early acts. they are also Very Warm & Very Cold so they balance each other out

karlach would get rue excited about life. shes experiencing things she's missed from being in avernus for 10 years and rue is experiencing everything for the first time again. they get distracted A Lot.

i think its such a nice and pure love that really makes them remember how much good is in the world.

and also its such a fuck you to gortash when they meet. oh wah you were in love with me?? well your bodyguard's strap game is better than ANYTHING you can provide me - rue, most likely (gortash has a breakdown)
