BATS BATS BATS! Some bats hibernate and some migrate -- I just imagine MK hates the cold in general but he might also have a winter funk if we're applying bat facts to him. Bats are also one of the most important pollinators, so maybe he also likes the smell of flowers? Bat's are very chumby babies! Little units! They weigh like a third of their mother's weight. That one episode in the anime seemed to suggest that Meta Knight can see UV light and this is funny because many bats see UV too.

Bats groom their wings very meticulously, and this can be easily applied to Meta Knight imo because I hc he is very particular about his wings :p

Bats groom their wings by nuzzling into the membranes, which have little lipid deposits that will get released when the skin is stretched out, such as by pressing a snoot into the membrane skin. Bat muzzles also have glands that contribute to spreading around all that oil and making sure the wings are nice and clean and waterproof. Bats also carefully massage every single little joint in their wings.

Like I know MK is a badass character but he is also a blorbo and the image of him nuzzling and rubbing his cheeks into his wings then doing a big stretch and a little shaky is just something I cannot stop thinking about.
