There isn’t too much I want to share about his actual backstory yet because it’s going to be a lot more fun to explore on @askxxviperxx However I can tell you how he came about! So very randomly in a call before we got together Guru brought up Bob the batpony

Okay here's what I've got going for an 80s Crossover MLP!AU story so far.

It includes The Lost Boys, Back To The Future, Bill & Ted, and The Breakfast Club crossover-wise. Star, Laddie, and the Emersons aren't included this time. I'm choosing to explore other options and scenarios through more crossover material instead.

I'm calling it 'Lost Colts AU', here's pt. 1

Set in Santa Carla, one by one the 'Boys gain new allies, and for good reason. Soon something will be coming for them And their 'guardian', and it's Not hunters this time... David, Paul, and Marko are all more like brothers to each other in this AU. Dwayne is more like a best friend/boyfriend to pretty much everypony else.

Basics(ship-wise); David likes Marty, Marko likes Ted, Paul likes Bender, and Dwayne likes everypony.

They're batponies, though the nature of their specific case is yet to be determined; I haven't thought it all the way through yet, but it's all coming together at a decent pace so far. I'll be updating with more details on this story later anyway.

Marty shows up first. His parents separate early, though that doesn't stop him from keeping in touch with Doc(or occasionally tinkering with time-science).

Queue one Bill-less Ted Theodore Logan; a little less chipper than the one we know, but he's still a dreamer with a good heart.

Finally Bender gets caught trying to stay in the 'Boys place, but Paul insists that they hear him out. Eventually he has a run-in with the Frog Brothers and has plenty to say.

It's about respecting each other's wishes and attempting to be true friends to each other despite their differences. There are still 'invites', of course, but the Boys aren't particularly desperate(for food Or extra packmates). It is also about a species of ghoul-creature(possibly zombie!changelings) that eventually causes problems for Everypony(the Frogs force themselves to ask for help as soon as it's out of their depth, the ghouls are after Max and his source of power anyway, etc.). I may or may not keep Max around for. Reasons. We'll see.

David comes back from a visit with Marty at one point, looking distant enough for Marko to ask him what's up. He says "Don't fall for a pony who plays guitar, okay?" Marko's still confused until he continues, "I forgot to eat for too long... Be careful."

Marko gets back to their spot after a visit or two w/Ted, and he completely understands why David looked/acted the way that he did. "...Why do we like Weirdo brunettes anyway, David?? --No offense, Dwayne" He laughs before he answers, "Hell if I know, must run in the family."

Paul is coming back from another social-run, getting ready to put his extra stuff away before heading back out to meet the others, when he senses something's off. Then he hears something moving briefly, and stays perfectly still in the dark before breaking the silence. "Hello There. You're in the Wrong Cave, buddy," He says with a smile in his voice, an echo carrying the message further than he needs it to in the moment. Bender laughs and stands despite himself, ready to apologize for the intrusion, completely unaware of the threat waiting patiently for him. He explains that he got into a little too much trouble the last time he got bored, pissed off his old man enough to get him sent to boot camp. The busses weren't exactly air-tight, so he got out of that arrangement too. Now he simply needs a place to stay, and the guys decide they don't mind after talking it over a bit.

One of the only things Marko remembers from before he died is that he hated thunderstorms. He had astraphobia, so when Ted tries and fails to hide just how afraid He is of the sounds himself, things work out for the better. The first couple of times Ted notices Marko after the move(while trying to keep his mind off of other stuff) is when he's feeding birds or squirrels or raccoons. He even helps toads and turtles out of the road when he can, and it makes him want to say something to the other.

There's a theme of trading knowledge present. One more voluntarily and comfortably remembers some aspect of their previous life(and feels 'more alive' for it), another might in turn remember/realize just how strong or clever they can be in the moment.

None of David's brothers share quite the same 'hypnotic gaze/influence' power. They simultaneously don't feel that it's all that necessary, and aren't very practiced at it. So it does strike each of them as a little strange when over the course of a week or two, they all gain new friends who seem to like them a lot despite the warning signs.

can you explain each ponies scar?

I'd be more than happy to!!! I'd draw this, but you'll get to really "see" all of their little scars once I finish setting up the blog I'll move all my pony stuff to.

All three of the dorks have scars. They're mostly accumulated over time (criminal business is dangerous, is it not?). Batpony(?) may not want to kill anyone, but that doesn't mean that many rogues haven't gotten tales of their failures written on their bodies.

Jervis has the least scarring out of the three, surprisingly. He's pretty accident-prone, and the scar seen across one of his forelegs is actually from his time at Arkham! He has one more on his flank from a batarang.

Edward, too, has permanent reminders of Arkham Asylum in the form of scars. In the previous ask I answered, I didn't draw his scars.. mostly for simplicity's sake. But he has quite a few. The ones not from Arkham are also from Batpony, but there are some on his face from failed experiments. He fancies himself an inventor! (In fact, he is an Earth pony, but he made mechanical wings for himself!)

Jonathan's scars are of a similar nature. He has the most, mostly because of the type of work he does and the chemicals he works with tend to burn him. The stitches on his neck are a rush job from a really bad injury (Jervis being the only magic user of the three meant they had to reluctantly trust him with a needle..). It never healed right, lol.

That's all I can think of for now! When I finish the new pony-centric blog, these kinds of questions should be directed there. :)

hello, ther, i am gently stepping outside the for,est ,on the gras s and sniffin, you gently and shyly, to, ask yuo about not only offline au but also the, mlp au,,

Oh my, my first ask!! And it's about my aus. You shot me right in the heart!! :D

Okay so first, my offline au. There's a post somewhere that explains where it came from, but I essentially created it after spending long hours in Offline Practice due to unstable internet/in my younger days I was scared of strangers. The basis of the au is the question: What if the bots in offline practice are sentient?

And there are a lot of ways you can take it:

You can see it from the player's perspective, where you are going through your normal day playing on pl_badwater and slowly realize that the bots are avoiding you or playing a little too smart... and then you start noticing nuances in their previously faceless expressions... and then they go off the script.

Or You can see it from the bots' perspective, where you wonder why you've never seen the world beyond the battlefield... or why the hell the enemy team's sniper is wearing a banana on his head, or why he is somehow always a step ahead, or where did he even come from, what happened to the old one what do you mean he never existed

Not to mention the world.. But to keep it simple, the au is basically offline practice played straight. Currently I am focusing on the bot's perspective in relation to the player. In this, the 'bots' are the usual mercenaries, normal, old dudes trying to do their gravel war job, and then there's the player who's well, like any other player. Any other player who just wants some fun and after playing offline practice long enough gets bored enough to try out console commands.

And as you can imagine, it's scary! The au is basically cosmic horror with the player being an eldritch, incomprehensible being to the bots/mercs. I take everything that we do as players, from casually jumping off cliffs to stabbing our teammates in casual fun, and explore it in a serious context from the perspective of normal people like the mercs. Even the greater concepts of TF2 like respawn.. It's a very meta au, and I can go very in depth about the concepts I want to explore and shit, like what it means to be a human being, what meaning can you find in an existence plagued by a being like this, what even is the player, the implications, but I think this post is long enough... so I must forgo. It's just spooky tf2 au hahah!

I should also mention the more lighthearted version which is the training mode au. It's the same thing but instead of the player being scary they're just a newbie and the bots try to teach them how to be decent. It's very cracky lol but I turn to it when the horror gets too much.

Now for the mlp au, unfortunately it's not too fleshed out :[ I mean I have the groundwork laid out in my mind, it's basically my darker, grittier mlp au mixed up with tf2. Though of course it's still got the same friendship is magic concepts, because I don't think making something serious/darker means you have to make it edgy and deprive it of its nature, but yeah. There are concepts I have, like batponies and how their civilization mirrors new zealand sinking but with the whole princess luna being banished, and things but I need more specific questions, it's hard for me to explain generally without making like a 5 page essay xD

Anyway THANK YOU! I am very thrilled to talk about my aus, especially offline au. Maybe I should've broken it up because it's like two seperate aus xD but idk how to do that. Okay, here. This is straight up a copy paste, so it'll sound unhinged as FUCK.

The og royals? The sisters (plus Discord, their brother in my au)? Eldritch beings in my au. Give me non-pony Celestia, Discord, and Luna who went through hardships to have ponies trust them. Give me angst about them having to trap their brother in stone because he got too powerful and too mad with grief over his lover, Shylove, dying in his arms. Give me the sisters feeling like if they stay as their normal state of being, looking a little too much like Discord, they'll get overthrown and hunted down. Give me them pretending to be ponies, but both their habits and their disguises are just a little off.

Shylove (he/they) used to be the gardener for the royal family, who were benevolent rulers, unlike their cousin to the north, King Sombra. One day, as he's trimming some rose bush wall, they hear from the other side, a voice saying a poem. Without thinking, he answers back with another poem. There's silence, then another poem is thrown back at them, with the voice sounding excited. The two go back and forth for the whole day, and when night fell, the voice asked if he would be back tomorrow. They answered truthfully that he doesn't do the roses every day. So, the voice was quiet for a bit, then asked when the next time will be. The answer was the day after tomorrow. So another meeting by the rose bushes was set. And then another. And another. Soon 5 years had passed, with Shylove falling for the voice. On the 5th anniversary of their meeting, the voice asked if they'd want to meet face to face. Shylove agreed, and was surprised when the Crown Prince poked his head over the rose bush wall.

Fearing this was a joke, Shylove burst into tears, which made the Crown Prince so flustered that he fell into the wall, crushing it. The very first thing the two do together face to face is burst into laughter.

A year later, the two were married.

And two years after, King Sombra himself killed Shylove in a fit of rage due to Shylove rejecting his affection.

Shylove's last words were "Look for the butterflies, Dis. It'll show that I will be there for you."

Not even a year later, the sisters put their brother in stone, right above his lover's grave.

Fast forward centuries.

Discord is free, and starts to create havoc, only to freeze for just a moment when he sees it. Butterflies. On a pony. A pony who looks like a spitting image of Shylove. A pony who freezes and her-his-their? eyes seem to glaze over.

Shylove.

Except, not really? Shylove looks different. More androgynous. Are those batpony ears? Their pattern stayed into this life, though the darker coat is new. Suits them.

Then he sees it. On Shylove's ear, the sign of a rainboom.

A fucking rainboom.

The sign of times of change, good or bad.

And Shylove was too near to one.

God. Fucking. DAMMIT.

The last time he saw a rainboom, King Sombra invaded the land and killed Shylove.

Then he sees it. Another pegasus, having more markings, and the placement of said markings indicate that they are the culprit.

And they're all over Shy.

His Shy.

Discord, God of Order and Chaos, sees red.

And blacks out.

When he finally comes too, he sees Shylove, who's crying, but smiling as they hold his face in their hooves.

"I'm sorry Shy..." he says.

"Who cares!?" Shy says, before they kiss him, the two finally together again.

And Applejack lore!

Okay, so, context, Luna is she/moonself. Anastasius Milo (which got changed to Appleseed Apple when he came to Ponyville when the town couldn'tsay his name) is transmasc going be he/him, was a Greek diplomat.

Their story was literally love at first sight, though not in the way people think.

See, Luna was the one that was welcoming dignitaries and diplomats, and when Anastasius peaked out over the ship, they made eye contact, and they felt something click.

Then Anastasius proceeded to trip over his feet, roll down the gang plank, and land right in front of Luna.

They were married within the year.

They fell hard and fast, and genuinely had very little fights, until Nightmare Moon happened.

During another breakdown, Luna accidentally hit Anastasius in the face with a glass jar, which broke on his face and scarred it in various places. It was by pure chance that his didn't go blind.

Luna was horrified, and proceeded to try and lock Anastasius up in a room so that she wouldn't hurt him again. But as someone who could never sit still, Anastasius was going stir crazy. Then he found it out.

He was pregnant.

He knew what he had to do.

So, after a month of being stuck in a room, where he watched from the windows her beloved deteriorate faster and faster, Anastasius waited until morning, the he climbed out the window and ran.

Only Celestia saw this, and knew there would be nothing to save her sister now.

But it's better than watching Anastasius and her niece and/or nephew wasting away.

She now had to face her sister head on.

Later that very day, word had spread around all of Equestria that Nightmare Moon had been banished to the moon itself.

And the newly named Appleseed Apple gave birth to twins. One boy and one girl.

They had more of his coloring, if not a bit darker, but their hair was long and flowing, like their other parent. Luckily, neither were alicorns, which was a brief fear, though he would not have minded.

He made sure before he died that the whole Apple family knew that they were respect the moon, who will always smile down at them.The whole Apple family are a bit strange to be honest. A bit too tall, a bit too strong, they could go longer without sleep, but no one in Ponyville or Appaloosa have any problem with them.

The only thing, really is their temper. Some people joke to never get an Apple mad, or else you might have well angered Nightmare Moon herself with how they can be.

Some even say that the newest set of Apple siblings remind older ponies too much of the old royal family. Especially with their stances, morals, and how close they are.

Applebloom has their hair color, Big Mac has their girth and eye color, and Applejack has the coat color and freckles. As well as their height.

💜Lucious: Yes and no - It varies pony to pony, as most things do. Overall, the answer is yes. We are better at staying hidden due to our, generally, darker coats and waking hours. Lol, but if you're like my sister, sometimes we make sounds that will alert others of our presence.

so anyway the dream starts off in a kind of hotel suite - except it's just like five or so connected bathrooms, and I am trying to pack my stuff but I have like a ton of souvenirs from the People's Lunar Landing And Spaceflight Museum (On The Moon) (I guess the hotel was on the moon, idk?) including a chinese-lego-knockoff life-sized MIR spacestation kit, which I need to get home because apparently I am going to build it and then live in it because my cat has evicted me from my apartment (I keep listening to messages it has left on the naswering machine - and they are all just weird hissing / yowling / modem noises but I understand it somehow because dream logic? or possibly I was just being neurotic and assuming that the cat was mad at me?)

so then I answer the door (no knocking or doorbell or anything I just knew someonepony was there) and there is this bright red batpony wearing mirrored sunglasses just leering at me all like '' I know what you are motherfucker... '' and I just closed the door in her face and was like nope not dealing with this shit, which is kinda wild because usually in my dreams my brain can get away with whatever bullshit it wants and I have no recourse

from there things get pretty significantly disjointed because I never actually leave the suite except now it also encompasses a lot of stairs and balconies over this huge atrium with a full Soyuz rocket in it and a lot of slot machines and such and the batpony is there a lot and now she is smoking a cigarette in a long holder which is super fucking annoying (like more annoying than I usually find smoking) and her cutie mark is a purple shark

and finally after interminable lugging of luggage down multiple flights of stairs and dealing with weird vertigo shifting balconies and such I get out the front doors of the hotel but we aren't on the Moon, we are in the middle of a desert and the batpony is there in the driver's seat of a big red convertible kind of mostly facing away from me and she cranes her head backwards over the headrest with a deranged grin, kind of leering at me over (under?) the sunglasses and I am finally like '' oh, I get this reference '' and then I immediately woke up

Batman crossovers that should exist

1. Pretty little liars and Batman

A starts tormenting Bruce Wayne about his secret identity. On his quest to track down this mysterious blackmailer he crosses paths with the liars and builds a tentative alliance with the girls. Most likely his plot line would be 5 eps long and leave the girls and viewers with more questions than answers.

2. Hannibal and Batman

Gruesome tableau’s begin showing up around Gotham city marking the arrival of a new villain. Will Graham and his comic relief sidekick Hannibal lecter are sent by the fbi to try and profile this new killer, but they learn there may be more to these murders than they originally assumed after several run ins with a vigilante dressed as a giant bat (AKA Batman)

C. Gotham and Batman

Uh oh some naughty ne’er do well created a time travel gun and blasted Batman back to the past!! Initially good ol’ jimbo thinks this mysterious black clad figure could only be trouble until her realizes there’s something oddly familiar about him. Adult Batman meets tween Bruce and is like wow so small stay weird kiddo but doesn’t divulge his identity. Alfred knows who he is right away. At the end of the ep Batman is sent back to his own time with some macguffin but right before he leaves young Bruce connects the dots and realizes that Batman is future him and is sorta pogged.

4. My little pony friendship is magic and Batman (I don’t have a vague plot for this one I just think there could be good character interaction.)

Batman would be Batpony, and he’d be a colt in a bat costume. He’d get along with twilight probably fight with applejack and rainbow dash and accidentally scare flutter shy. Pinkie pie would steal his baterangs and also constantly try to imitate his rough voice. Rarity would think his suit is rather drab and then she sparkles it up for his much to his horror. U can’t be stealthy when ur a dazzling disco batpony.

OKAY OH MY GOD im finally answering this it took FOREVER because i kept writing essays for every single pony so now illjust briefly say the species hcs i like and dislike for each one and u guys can ask for elaboration on them if u want

twilight: OH. MY GOD. ZEBRA TWILIGHT IS TOO PERFECT U R A GENIUS. SO THATS THE TOP OF MY HCS FOR HER NOW… i also love earth pony twi and classic unicorn twi. as for nonponies i think kirin would be rlly cool for her

rainbow: i just love classic pegasus rainbow, but unicorn rainbow is fun to think about too! earth pony is just ehh and UNPOPULAR OPINION im not a huge fan of dragon or dragon hybrid rainbow

fluttershy: pegasus is great, batpony is PERFECT! i also like changeling/flutterpony but especially if she looks buggy and “creepy” or whatever. i dont love earth pony or unicorn fluttershy

applejack: earth pony is perfect of course! pegasus is also fun

pinkie: earth pony is good! i also love cow/pony hybrid pinkie and unicorn pinkie can be fun to think abt! not a fan of pegasus pinkie though

rarity: unicorn is good, pegasus and earth pony are fun, dragon hybrid is my FAVORITE! i also think seapony rarity would be cool
