Left by her mother with her abusive aunt, got called a monster for her weird powers and only found solace at the library studying with the scholars there, but they left her out of their biggest main researcher of Forbidden History because the government kills whoever studies it. Made a giant friend anyway, just in time for the government to come and blow up the entire island because of the Forbidden History, leaving her the only survivor. They put a huge bounty on her head (she was 8), meaning she was never safe and couldn't trust anyone, surviving by betraying people before they could betray her, until twenty (20) years later when she finally met people she could trust.

he spent his teen years trailing behind batman, and when batman was gone he spent a years time looking for batman. he Really didnt get to ve a teenager. he was stuck in batman's shadow. girl shouldve been at the club!

what is your opinion on reverse robin aus

No. Just no.

I've read so many different versions of Reverse Robin Aus and every time I think it's gonna be good, but then I have to bash my head into a wall, because these characters are lowkey unrecognizable--

not Unrecognizable, their character just doesn't match their face. There's Canon Events for each character, that you can't just shove onto another character and you have to BRING the CHARACTERISTCS of EACH CHARACTER into THE NEW TIMELINE YOU"VE MADE.

How would Duke being Bruce's first child change the way Batman works? How would Damian dying affect Bruce and Duke? How would Tim become Robin if Duke would still be Bruce's sidekick-- would Bruce fire Duke because he doesn't want him to die in the same way?

how would Duke and Tim's sibling relationship be? Would Damian react to Tim a similar way?

Does Stephanie create the Batgirl Mantle? or does Spoiler become the mantle that's passed down? That Cass chooses to take After Steph dies?

How would Jason (and Dick, because if Dick's 8, Jason's 12) react to just Gaining another father, only to loose him.

Brainworms have been worming extra hard since I stumbled upon your Bruce and Jay post (plus the doomed narratives one,, BELOVED), honestly those two make me so fucking ill oh my god. The tags on ur post? So true. Kith ur tags on the head. LO VE LOVE <3333 adding a little to the discussion since I am ill (and if you don't mind!!)

LOVE THE DOOMED NARRATIVE because their reconciliation is never possible imo. Grief is a wretched force that has twisted Jason's memory from the image of his beloved son into a detached, reckless amalgamation. Bruce compartmentalises to such a degree that if he has to keep functioning (both as Batman and as Bruce Wayne) that he can't possibly face the fact that his actions killed his son. His mission born out of the death of his parents couldn't have killed that bright child who was albeit a little angry at times but so full of compassion and life, right? Right?

But he has to continue. And because he does, he has to, on an internal level, make himself believe that Jason was doomed from the start. That he was too reckless. That he was too much of a mess. That he should've never been Robin (which is true in a different sense, but this line of reasoning is not it) and was destined to die. Bruce's messy cycle of grief has concluded. Acceptance comes in the form of his cherished son now being seen as 'his greatest failure, a reckless Robin, a good soldier.'

And unfortunately, the whole thing about Jason is that he is continually trying to communicate with the Bruce he remembers before he died. They're both on completely different pages in this conversation, and Jason is so mentally ill—oh my god, PTSD?—and he's trying to communicate with someone who doesn't remember him as he was. Plus, Gotham is such an intrinsic part of him that he can never pull away from it. He just gets stuck in a cycle, continually pulling away and then reaching out, and then pulling away—essentially in Limbo.

Also yes yes YES Jason Todd is one of my favorite muses for doomed narratives!! Every single goddamn relationship that kid attempts to have is destined to fail. From his mom to his short-lived time as Bruce’s apprentice/son, to his fragile and tense relationships with his almost-but-not-quite siblings.

Jaw on the floor, first off. Do you write??? Please do you write???? I need to read more of your words if so bc you understand these characters on SUCH a deep level UGH

“-he can’t possibly face the fact that his actions killed his son” - THIS THIS THIS !!!! Bruce is an immovable wall with Jason because he CANNOT accept the accountability. It’s like Jason is having a completely different battle with him, because Jason sees things for as they are, if not a little tainted by his own begrudged feelings, but meanwhile Bruce is seeing things through a clouded lens of denial. Bruce doesn’t understand the pain he caused Jason because he cannot even see it. It does not exist in his mind. Because to accept the pain is to accept WHY the pain is there, which in turn would just spiral out of control and Bruce is forced to accept that his no-kill ideal ended up digging his son’s own grave.

Ugh LOVE the idea of Bruce gaslighting himself into thinking this was how it was always fated to be. Putting the blame not on himself or Jason or the Joker, but on some higher being that he doesn’t even believe in. It’s such a Bruce coping mechanism. Sweeping everything under the rug bc now he can’t see it. IM UNWELL

YES YES THEY ARE ON SUCH DIFFERENT PAGES!!! YOU GET IT!!! They literally are having two separate conversations and neither understands why their words aren’t sinking in to the other. They may as well be talking to their own hallucinations at this point- Jason at the memory of his father and Bruce at the doomed ghost of a boy who once was.

And YUP that’s why I write little “good dad bruce” fics and read so many too, because I WANT them to reconcile but… in the actual real world reality? I think the best they could do is an uncomfortable middle ground. Where Jason is no longer antagonized, but not exactly welcomed either. He’d have an expected seat at the table, but he’d never come. He’d be on every place card, every invite, but he’d never show up. He’d be included, but would choose to stay away. And that breaks my heart but also I truly don’t think either of them can go beyond that. In an effort to cling to familiarity and sanity and a guilt free life, Bruce pushed his biggest regret away. He could have had his son back, but instead he chose to believe it couldn’t be true. And like the greatest self fulfilled prophecy, he made it true.

Okey hay dos cosas más que pensé por DC x DP y tengo que decirlas

La primera

Noche de chicas, Sam Manson, Jazz Fenton y Valerie Gray, están de visita en ciudad Gótica, Sam tiene que presentarse en una gala en nombre de su familia, donde Jazz, ahora que su familia fue reconocida por ayudar en gran medida a la salvación de la tierra y como recompensa haberse quedado con la fortuna de Vlad, presentará artefactos de los Fenton, mientras que Valerie es llevada como invitada y encargada de la seguridad

Cuando todo se pone peligroso, el Guasón ataca, tomando a Sam de rehén en sus propios brazos mientras le apunta con un arma, los matones que le ayudan intentan robar los artefactos científicos del lugar, la batifamilia estaba por actuar cuando

Valerie entro en modo de batalla, su traje rojo y aerodeslizador, llamando la atención de los matones evitando que dañen a los demás en la gala, mientras que Jazz se había cubierto por completo con una armadura Fantom que siempre lleva con ella en su cinturón, luciendo como un arma futurista, lo cual prácticamente es, aturdiendo a los matones con disparos laser diseñados para derribar fantasmas

El Guasón intenta darles una advertencia sobre la seguridad de su amiga cuando Sam, le da un cabezaso que la libera de su agarre, seguido de una patada a su rostro con sus pesadas y reforzadas botas metálicas, haciéndolo no solo caer, si no que también soltar su arma, solo para que la chica gótica lo espose usando la liga de su cabello

Al unísono las tres simplemente declaran ante la gala, los matones y en una transmisión en vivo

"Nunca te metas con las chicas de Amity Park"

Valerie: Me he enfrentado a payasos peores

Sam: Pésima temática, incluso el fantasma de las cajas tiene más estilo

Jazz: Aunque si hablamos de estilo, Kitty, Penelope y Ember?

Las tres simplemente asienten completamente de acuerdo entre ellas, dejando confundidos a todos en la gala pero impresionados, la batifamilia no tuvo que hacerse presente pero ahora todos creen que ellas son o al menos solían ser parte de la batifamilia.

Segunda cosa

¿Porque siempre es en ciudad Gótica?

Robin, siendo el más joven pero en la edad adecuada para el trabajo tiene que ir en una misión en cubierto, a Amity Park, siguiéndole la pista a un extraño villano, parecido al Guasón en cuanto a piel pálida y cabello verde pero su temática de pirata es desconcertante, un día paseando por la ciudad, ve lo que menos esperaba

Un barco volando por la ciudad y lo que parece ser otro chico joven, rodeándolo en vuelo y gritando con un tono alegre pero de advertencia

"¿En serio «Sangre Joven»?, Sabes las reglas por eso tu barco no pudo volar fuera de la ciudad"

Damian/Robin, está todavía más sorprendido cuando en la punta del barco el joven al que le seguía la pista le responde

SJ: Da igual, solo fui por unas cosas y regrese para derrotarte!

Acto seguido, una carga de explosivos marca Guasón, son liberados del barco sobre la ciudad, Robin, incapaz de ayudar pero con el instinto para hacerlo comienza a alejar a los civiles de la zona de explosión, solo para ver cómo aquel héroe da un grito tan atroz que parece el lamento de algún alma en pena, haciendo explotar toda la carga sobre el propio barco, obligando a Sangre Joven a volver rápidamente a la zona fantasma

Un rato después Robin tendría que dar su reporte de la situación a Batman: Bueno puedo confirmar que el payaso no ha tenido un hijo, sin embargo, todo lo que salga de esta ciudad es mucho más peligroso que cualquier cosa que haya visto en ciudad Gótica

Batman: Explica eso

Robin: Nuestros enemigos están vivos, los "villanos" de Amity Park, son fantasmas, además tienen lo que parece un héroe encargado de la ciudad

Danny, que ha estado escuchando todo, apareciendo detrás de el: Además de ser muy bueno en su trabajo y de buen aspecto, se preocupa por el hecho de un niño este en la cima de un edificio sin supervisión, ¿Necesitan apoyo fuera de mi ciudad?, Podría enviar a mi prima

Robin, recuerda como respirar después de que el chico fantasma termina de hablar, solo para que en plena llamada ambos sean atacados una vez más por Sangre Joven

Bc Q keeps randomly knocking down my door and screaming EIRA every few months/aff

Part 1

Within a week the family has worked together to craft an official statement for the press

If it weren't for goddamn ras tim would be advocating the "keep all reporters and paps the fuck away from my baby" approach, but as it is he just has to try to minimize damage

They hold a small press conference in Wayne tower, where they've got absolute top security around, and Bruce is right by Tim's side expressing unwavering support and 0 judgment as Tim states that he's stepping down from his position (not CEO he was in charge if like R&D since Bruce came back)... in order to care for his infant daughter

Dead silence. Wide-eyed stares

Tim takes a deep deep breath and says

"Her name is Eira Bahar Wayne. Her mother is my best friend *he's a bit choked up, because he's never going to get them to understand exactly what steph is, more than friend, other than lover, one of the most amazing women in the world* and if you will all take a moment now to turn off any flash or recording lights... they'll come out and say hello."

It was a calculated move, introducing Eira literally in Stephs arms. Tim's the famous one, no one will forget that he's a teen parent, that he claimed this kid. He's also eiras literal biological father, she has 23 chromosomes from him and sooner or later that's going to become apparent

She also has 23 chromosomes from a woman who is not steph.

There can't ve any doubt in the publics mind that steph carried and bore Eira, tho, or ras has an in. So Eira meets the world this way, so that the very first pictures to exist of her are *with her mother*, with Steph smiling so lovingly and holding her totally correct, eiras blanket and stephs dress even subtly matching and complimenting Tim's suit.

That's why he goes to meet them, arm around stephs back, and brushes eiras little Itty bitty curls that Tim thinks are from his mom, and they step forward as a unit

He thinks it works

Camera shutters are GOING OFF (thankfully no flash, he didn't want to go red robin on them) and several reporters are awwing and sighing

They ask a few questions, to Tim and to steph. They share facts - eiras birth height and weight, how long Tim and steph have known each other - but not stories - how long wad the birth, did you decide to have a child or happy accident?

Tim kind of wants to punch the guy who asked that but he forces a laugh and says it's rude to ask a lady such things

And then it's over and the next day 3 different newspapers have it as the headline story

Eira becomes a celebrity overnight. All of Gotham is SCREECHING about how adorable she is, how adorable their family is, how Tim is now a DILF (he blocks that tag) how lucky steph is to have Tim and eira

(There's other screeching too, about teen parents and recklessness and gold digging and debauchery and-- Babs keeps all that off Tim's and stephs feeds, monitoring it herself to ensure it never gets too loud)

For the most part people keep a respectful distance as they beam and coo and wave, and anyone who doesn't is quickly blocked by Cass or Damian, or dick when he's in town

Cuando Robin pasaba documentos en el monitor de la computadora, Impulse lo detuvo, algo había llamado su atención.

—¿Qué es eso? —le dijo.

Rob regresó la lluvia de archivos.

—Ah, es… el nuevo Blue Beetle. B lo ha estado vigilando desde la muerte de Victoria Kord.

—¿Es un villano?

—No, él no la mató. Larga historia. Como sea, está iniciando. ¿Por qué el interés?

—Curiosidad, no lo había visto antes.

Robin se encogió de hombros, aceptando la versión de su amigo. Impulse a veces era algo raro.

—Quizás lo veamos pronto por aquí.

Impulse sonrió y cambió drásticamente de tema. Robin no notó que el chico guardó perfectamente en su memoria todo lo que acababa de ver.

Una ventaja de la super velocidad era que podía escapar cuando quisiera y nadie lo notaría. Así que esa tarde por supuesto que Impulse lo aprovechó para hacer una visita a Palmera City.

Era gracioso, antes Robin y Kid Flash lo habían regañado por ser tan escandaloso y entorpecer un poco las misiones encubiertas. Y ahora, ahí estaba, siendo el hombre más cauteloso del mundo, escondiéndose y vigilando desde la distancia.

No le tomó más que un par de vueltas a la ciudad para hallarlo, sobre todo porque corrió con la suerte de que el escarabajo estuviera activo justo en ese momento. Estaba en una azotea, con los pies colgando al vacío. Impulse se escondía desde las escaleras de emergencia, solo asomando los ojos. Era como ver a una presa midiendo a su depredador.

De pronto el llamado Blue Beetle se levantó. Impulse se ocultó.

—¿Hola? ¿Hay alguien ahí?

Blue Beetle miró a todos lados y suspiró.

—¿Ves? No hay nadie. Seguro lo que sentiste fue un pájaro.

Impulse se volvió a asomar. ¿Había alguien más ahí? No, seguramente se trataba de eso. Un ligero escalofrío lo recorrió.

—Bien, bien, pero nada de armas.

Blue Beetle caminó en dirección a Impulse y el joven héroe del futuro debió tomar una decisión. Confrontación fue el veredicto. Si lo atacaba, él llamaría a los refuerzos de inmediato y terminaría con esto de una vez. Y si no, eso era más complicado de adivinar.

Impulse asomó toda su cabeza y recargó los brazos en el suelo sucio.

—Hola —saludó, sonando lo más simpático que pudo.

—¡AH! ¡Santo Dios!

La mano derecha de Blue Beetle se deformó.

—¡No! ¡Espera! ¡No! ¡Sin armas, ya te dije! ¡Solo me asusté, no significa que estoy en peligro! ¡Que la chingada contigo!

Impulse observó la escena, un poco en alerta al principio, pero luego se dio cuenta de que… era gracioso. Blue Beetle se giró al notar su ligera risa.

—¡Te juro que no estoy loco! Es solo que tú no le puedes escuchar… Ay Dios, eso suena más loco ¿verdad?

Impulse asintió.

Blue Beetle se talló la cara, rendido.

—Como sea, olvídalo. ¿Quién eres tú?

Impulse salió de su escondite y se colocó de frente al desconocido.

—Uhm, soy Impulse.

—Impulse… No te conozco.

—Trabajo más hacia el centro y el este —explicó.

—Eso está algo lejos de aquí.

Impulse se encogió de hombros.

—Ah ya sé, Batman te envió. Oye, ya le dije que me dejara pensarlo. Ahora mismo no es el mejor momento para todo esto de ser un héroe.

Blue Beetle sonaba cansado.

—En realidad Batman no me mandó. Ni siquiera lo he conocido. Trabajo con los Titanes.

—Ah. —No sonaba más relajado. —Los Titanes. —El muchacho le dio la espalda y regresó a su sitió en la orilla del edificio. —Bueno, si viniste por lo mismo que Batman, mi respuesta sigue siendo no.

—Ah, pues yo… La verdad no lo sé. Creo que… todo lo que yo imagine. —Blue Beetle se talló la cabeza, apenado. —¿Tú qué haces?

Impulse iba a responder, cuando el reloj en su muñeca sonó.

—Ugh. Oh, bro, eso no es crash.

Blue Beetle lo miró curioso.

—Me tengo que ir.

—Oh, está bien. Nos vemos, supongo.

—¡Claro! —Esta vez su tono fue más sincero y amable. —¡Nos vemos, Blue!

Impulse se levantó y desapareció en un manchón.

La próxima vez que Impulse apareció frente a Blue Beetle fue en una misión.

—¡Hola! —saludó el chico, de nuevo asustando al desconocido.

—¡AY LA MADRE!

«Blue Beetle, ¿pasa algo?» alcanzó a escuchar el velocista del comunicador del otro.

—A-ah, no, nada, es solo-. —Al girarse a ver a Impulse, éste le hizo una seña de guardar silencio. —No es nada, Khaji Da se alteró un poco, eso es todo.

«Concéntrate en la vigilancia».

Blue Beetle era muy nuevo, Impulse lo sabía. Él se acercó a su espacio personal como si nada y oprimió un botón del comunicador.

—Con eso ya no te va a escuchar —le explicó sonriendo.

Ahora Impulse estaba más tranquilo. Batman había convencido a Blue Beetle de entrenarlo y además Robin ya había trabajado una vez con él. «A mí me cayó bien» le dijo.

—A-ah, gracias. ¿Qué haces aquí?

—Pasaba por aquí. ¿A quién vigilamos?

Blue Beetle soltó una suave risa y le explicó el objetivo. Ahora Blue también sonaba más tranquilo.

Luego de aquel segundo encuentro, las visitas se volvieron mucho más frecuentes.

—Impulse, deja de asustar a Khaji y sal.

Blue Beetle estaba sentado en una colina, junto a una chica. Normalmente ahí lo podía encontrar solo, pero alguien había comenzado a invadir ese espacio -además de él-.

—Ugh, le quitas lo divertido a la vida, bro. Hola, Jenny.

La chica lo saludó, tan habituada a verlo, e Impulse se unió a ellos en el pasto.

—De verdad amo tu cabello, ¿cómo le haces?

Jenny era tan agradable que Impulse no podía resistirse a conversar con ella. Entendía porque le gustaba a Blue Beetle.

Mientras ella hablaba, Impulse no dejaba de ver a Blue. No era la primera vez que veía su rostro real, pero siempre se sentía atrapado, en su cabello esponjoso y en su brillante sonrisa. El miedo que le había tenido en un principio hacía tanto que había desaparecido. Además, saber tiempo después que él y Jenny terminaron lo hizo tan feliz y lo incitó a invadir su vida todavía más.

—Bart, la gracia de vivir solo es tener mi privacidad.

—Pues entonces deja de llenar la alacena con comida.

—Ay hombre, esa es mi comida. Eres peor que Milagro.

Bart estaba tirado en el suelo de la habitación de Jaime. Desde que él se había mudado, gran parte del tiempo Bart se la pasaba ahí. No era que a él no le agradara la familia de Jaime, al contrario, le parecían increíbles todos. Pero, entendía a su amigo, ellos a veces podían ser muy entrometidos. Además, Bart no era el más apto para mantener la boca cerrada si alguien le preguntaba, por ejemplo: “¿Mi hijo no ha estado al borde de la muerte allá afuera, del otro lado del país?”. ¿Qué podía decir Bart? ¿Qué no? Él podía guardar secretos, todos los que él quería, pero mentirle a la señora Reyes, eso era imperdonable.

Así que ahí estaban, uno llenándose la barriga con frituras robadas y otro revisando documentos en su laptop.

—¿Qué se siente haber rechazado a la liga por irte con la JLI?

Jaime sonrió sin despegar la vista de la pantalla.

—Me sentiría mal, de no ser porque yo nunca me sentí parte de ellos.

—Creo que sentirse rechazado es un requisito para entrar a la JLI, ¿no?

Bart recibió como respuesta un almohadazo.

—Tú formaste tu propio grupo con Red Robin, payaso.

—Meh, igual todos seguimos siendo titanes. Deja eso, mejor dime qué se siente tener a tu propio mentor.

—Ted está mal de la cabeza.

Bart sabía que mentía, Jaime lo admiraba demasiado, tal como él hacía con Walls.

—Bueno, Jenny nunca te dijo lo contrario. Y debiste deducirlo cuando otro tipo del futuro vino a verte para rescatarlo.

—Sí, los viajeros del tiempo son todos igual de… fastidiosos.

—¡Oh! ¡No dijiste eso!

—¡No sabes qué dije!

—¡Sí lo sé! ¡Mili me enseñó!

—¡Esa chamaca!

Bart ahora estaba sobre Jaime, jugueteando y riendo, golpeándolo con la almohada que él le había lanzado. Se sentía feliz, era feliz. Algo había hecho, algo en su viaje había alterado los eventos, y en su corazón crecía la esperanza de que ellos ya no vendrían.

Se equivocó. Sí lo hicieron, ellos llegaron, pero ya no tenían a Khaji Da de su lado.

—¡Si sabías que esto pasaría, debiste decirlo!

Jaime estaba molesto, se sentía usado.

—¿Y qué debía decirte? “Hola, me llamo Bart, vengo del futuro a detenerte porque tú te volverás el soldado que derrocará a este planeta”.

—¡Sí! ¡Habría estado bien para empezar! ¡Todo este tiempo…! ¡Tú! ¡Yo! ¡Me lleva la chingada! —Jaime estaba al borde de un ataque de nervios.

—Basta, este no es el momento —espetó Tim, también cansado.

No estaban solos, el grupo de Bart estaba con ellos.

Todo estuvo tenso al principio, pero Jaime lo logró, él y los héroes que los apoyaron lo hicieron, aun a pesar de las perdidas.

—Hola.

—Hola.

Después de las peleas iniciales ya no hubo tiempo para hablar más. Debieron concentrarse en pelear y, ahora, su respiro había llegado luego de los funerales de sus mentores.

Jaime estaba en el techo de su casa, con su familia abajo. Había regresado con ellos luego de todo el desastre. De hecho, Jaime siempre volvía ahí cuando todo el exterior lo superaba.

—¿Hay espacio para mí?

Bart ya no sabía cómo acercarse.

—Sí.

Ambos permanecieron un rato en silencio, mirando la calle vacía.

—Tú te acercaste a mí solo para vigilarme, ¿verdad?

Bart ya no tenía que guardar más secretos.

—Al principio sí, pero luego pude haberte dejado. Batman te vigilaba, Ted te vigilaba, Michael también.

Los dos volvieron a guardar silencio.

—¿Y por qué te quedaste?

Bart se giró a verlo, directo a los ojos.

—¿Tú por qué crees?

Jaime le sonrió y agachó la cabeza.

—Sí, pensar en que fue eso ayudó a dejar de sentirme mal.

Bart sonrió y luego regresó su vista a la calle.

—¿Te acuerdas de la primera vez que te vi?

Jaime asintió, también regresando su vista al frente.

—No te respondí tu pregunta.

Jaime frunció el ceño.

—¿Qué pregunta?

—Me preguntaste qué era lo que hacía.

Jaime sonrió.

—Ah sí, pero cuando te vi desaparecer me di una idea.

Bart soltó una suave risa.

—Sabiendo lo que sé ahora te habría respondido que lo que hacía era arruinar toda mi misión.

Jaime rió.

—¿Por qué? Tú la cumpliste.

Bart agachó la cabeza.

—No, no hice exactamente lo que tenía que hacer.

Jaime mantuvo la sonrisa y estuvo a punto de expresar alguna idea, pero Bart no lo dejó. El muchacho se acercó a Jaime, lo tomó de la mejilla y lo besó. Todo en tan solo unos segundos, dejando a Jaime conteniendo el aliento cuando él se alejó.

—Y tampoco se suponía que tenía que hacer eso.

Bart mantenía la cabeza gacha, con sus mejillas ardiendo y su corazón latiendo con fuerza.

—M-mejor me voy —dijo antes de levantarse para bajar.

—¡No!

Jaime lo sujetó de la mano y lo jaló hacia él. Bart lo miró, sorprendido, el color en su cara solo empeoraba.

—¿Puedes hacerlo de nuevo? Solo para estar seguro de que capté bien el mensaje.

Jaime también estaba rojo, pero se notaba muy firme en lo que pedía. Bart parpadeó un momento y luego mostró una gran sonrisa.

—Lo hago hasta en cámara lenta si quieres.

El primer beso apenas fue un ligero toque, algo tímido e impregnado de dudas. Los que le siguieron estaban llenos de emoción, deseo y afecto, todo lo que Bart había comenzado a sentir hacía mucho tiempo por su amigo.

Fue una escena tan conmovedora, que solo pudo ser detenida por las risas de Milagro desde la orilla del tejado.

—¡Rudy! ¡Te dije que Jaime comía de todo!

—¡¿Qué Jaime qué?!

—¡¡Milagro!!

NO BUT I"VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS AU

I would like to think that Talia left Damian with Bruce because she knew she didn't want Damian to grow up in the league, and she visits and all, but she's not living in the manor. Though, because of her visiting she would know Jason better, and this Jason would probably want to think of her as a mom, but Dick tells Jason not to trust her.

Maybe the reason Dick left the manor in the first place is because Bruce now had an actual son, so that's the real reason he doesn't like this child. Though, maybe he tries harder with Jason, hanging out with him every month, but they don't usually take Damian with them during these outings. Partially because Dick doesn't like Damian, but also because Damian is really little.

I did the math and Damian should be 3-5 during Jason's time at the manor, but like, during those years, Jason just absolutely adores this kid. He probably read to him all the time, Damian probably sat and watched while Bruce trained with him, and I can imagine him plopping Damian on the countertop while he and Alfred cooked together. Jason would definitely have been one of those siblings that are an absolute goofball just to see their toddler sibling laugh. (I like to think he calls him Habibat, habibi + bat, in reference to Dick calling him Little Wing, and Damian calling Jason Akhi.)

So, Dick comes back from space, figures out Jason died, and like... immediately rushes to Wayne manor, and after his fight with Bruce, Damian comes up to Dick and is like, "I thought Akhi was with you? Baba said he was in the sky. Why didn't you bring him back with you?" And Dick starts bawling, because more than Talia, Jason was a more prominent figure in this kid's life, so he tried to make an effort to be in Damian's life. For Jason, but eventually he learns to love Damian. (I don't think Damian calls Dick Akhi, mainly because Dick was never referenced to Damian like that, but also because in Damian's head Akhi is Jason's name. I speak Tamil, and my oldest sister has always been Akka in my brain, even though that's not her name, it's just the term for older sister)

Maybe Talia comes around more so that she has more stories about Damian to tell a catatonic Jason about. Maybe she comes around less because she's too focused on a catatonic Jason. It can be your interpretation

Then Tim comes along, and maybe Damian sees Tim in the Robin uniform after he's saved Batman and Nightwing from Two-face and Damian's like, "No! You can't! You can't replace Akhi! You CAN'T!" and throws a whole tantrum that ends with, "I want Akhi. I want him back. why can't you bring him back." and Bruce is like, "I miss him too. We're not replacing him. No one could ever replace Jason, but he's in a better place now. We can't take that away from him. Tim's not replacing Jason. He's just honoring his memory."

And Obviously Damian hates Tim at first. And Tim tries to steer clear of Damian (lets be real, Tim is seems like he's horrible with kids and this Damian would probably cry every time he saw Tim in the Robin uniform) but maybe Tim one day is going through a picture album with and says, "You loved him a lot. I can tell. And I know I'll never be your brother, but I just hope that I've made him proud." And they both kind of just go through the photo album silently together.

Then Tim gets captured by the Joker, and Damian probably sticks to Tim like glue, because he almost lost him the exact same way he lost his Akhi. It's probably the moment Damian realizes how much he cares about Tim.

I would like to think that Damian makes a painting of all of them, Alfred, Bruce, Dick, Tim, and Damian, in acrylic with a Jason in water-paint giving Damian a hug, and there are two versions, one with masks so Tim, Dick, and Bruce can keep it in their rooms in Titans Tower or in the Watchtower or wherever, and a giant portrait sized one without masks that goes in the main area of the manor.

Then the Red Hood starts to show up and Bruce has gotten enough information to know that Hood knows their secret identites, so he sends Tim and Damian to Titans Tower to stay safe. Hood breaks into Titans Tower, about to attack Tim, but he sees Damian sleeping on Tim's shoulder while Tim is doing some work on the couch

Jason takes off his helmet and mask, and slowly walks forward in disbelief because, "He's so big now." Not only that, but Damian was also wearing one of Jason's old sweatshirts, because that's how much he's grown. A 9 year old Damian was almost the size of a 15 year old Jason (that part is canon, actually, 10yr Damian and 15 yr Jason were both 4'8")

Tim who thinks this is a hallucination looks down at Damian fondly and goes, "Yeah. he's grown a lot from the kid who was completely devastated over me becoming Robin. He misses you a lot. I heard him asking you to take care of Stephanie up there." Tim frowned, "Though you are probably a hallucination in my head telling me to take Damian to an actual bed." Tim gently brings Damian to his room in TT and sets him down on the bed while Tim goes to the computer on his desk to continue working.

All the while Jason just continues to stare in disbelief at how big his baby brother has gotten. The slowly in a trance, Jason sits on the edge of the bed and starts running his hand through Damian's hair, and starts softly crying.

Damian wakes up to this, blinks a couple times, "Akhi?"

Tim jumps because, why are they having the same hallucination?

Jason then gives a little wet laugh, "Are you wearing my sweatshirt, Habibat?"

and Damian launches himself at Jason, in a hug, but he also hits his shoulder, "I knew you weren't gone."

So a lot of you were asking for more baby Damain au and when Dick was finally gonna start getting along with the baby so here you go

Earth 3329's Batman.

So, who wants to know about my Batman? I know, I know real original story ahead but here's the deal...

He's pretty different, based off the Burton movies mixed with the 2022 Batman, kind of a dark Gothic-Cyberpunk vibe. Also this is probably going to be a massive post.

"Every day I put on that suit, keep my stick at my side, and for what? Just to fall over and over. But I always get back up, because of one truth of this world... everyone needs a little hope and if I'm that hope, then it's worth every fall."

Name: Grayson Thomas Wayne.

Birthday: 10/27. (A few days before the anniversary of the start of the Long Halloween.)

Special Ability: Nine Lives. Grayson can come back to life nine times, after the ninth he has no more, however whatever killed him before is remembered and sometimes leads to resistances.

It's main weakness is the fact he remembers how he died every time, if it was particularly traumatic it'd have a deeper impact.

Backstory.

The son of Bruce and Selina, young Grayson Thomas Wayne (Named after his big brother and paternal grandfather to highlight the expectations on his shoulders.) was born with Cerebral Palsy, which hampered his training quite a bit, but he was still eager to learn because who wouldn't when your dad is BATMAN? Of course when he became Robin he mostly stayed back with the Batmobile and helped investigate crime scenes and rarely got into fights.

Selina taught her son how to steal things on the side, definitely a mom that'd be protective but still try to have her son grow up a bit by taking on a little more at a time.

As a Robin, Bruce's rogues understood that Grayson couldn't really hurt them, but in this case he turned out to be a pretty sweet kid. Arkham was hell but at least he'd try to make things a little more comfortable for the inmates.

But there was one that didn't like the baby bat, one that wanted to play an even deadlier joke against the Bat and Cat...

The Joker. He took out one Robin, he's 1-3 on the Killed Robin board so the cute little prince of Gotham would have to do. So one night, he caused a huge crime spree, drawing away both Selina and Bruce, the fourteen year old Grayson, eager to prove himself had tracked down the Clown Prince of Crime and was just about to send the location to Oracle when he dropped off the grid.

When they found him he was barely alive, dying soon after and being buried... until he dug his way out and went to bed, scaring the daylights out of Alfred and the rest of the family.

Ever since then, the Bat-Family as well as the Wayne family imploded. Grayson could barely look at the Robin suit without flying into a panic attack, losing his desire to help Gotham. Selina thought it'd be best to divorce Bruce and get their child out of Gotham. In no small part blaming her complacency in the fact that their son had difficulties and still made him a Robin.

They moved to Seattle, Washington. Bruce slowly gave up on being Batman, Gotham slowly rotting further.

Becoming the Bat.

The matter of Grayson becoming Batman is because of a downward spiral after losing Pamela and not processing his grief well at all. While the Mission isn't as important, it all starts as an investigation into Jason Woodrue, who he was suspicious of back in Seattle, but now really wants to find out why he did that to Pamela.

It's also a culmination of all the years he's tried to run from his destiny as the next Batman, so this is all just a burden he has to bear now because he's too far in.

As we'll see with my Superman, this is the opposite of his case.

Personality.

Grayson became a very quiet young man. He could ACT like he's happy or not having issues but in a moment whoever he's hiding it from would see into him.

He very much wears his emotions on his sleeve. Even after what happened to him he still makes an effort to not let it defeat him. He's nervous in big social groups.

He's very soft spoken and doesn't like confrontation, owing to the fact that Pamela and Page were much more outspoken than him and he'd often retreat inside his own head.

But before that, he was outgoing and happy. Almost like he loved everything about being in Gotham and caring about it. Dick and Tim used to remember how eager he was to go out and help.

A lot of the Old Guard of rogues like the Penguin, the first Ivy, and Harley Quinn remember him as a sweet kid that really would get eaten up by Gotham.

He'd talk with them and of course none of them would actively try to hurt him. Mostly because Batman was nearby at all times as little Robin asked Mr. Cobblepot or Miss Ivy about how their gadgets and powers worked.

Grayson was never angry at Harley though. She wasn't there when he died and she probably wouldn't have changed Joker's mind at all. She does shove herself into his life as his 'Auntie Harley' and keeps an eye on him...

Which he finds really sweet but embarrassing because Harley tells Selina EVERYTHING about what he's doing and all that.

He absolutely adores cats, especially ones that wobble because they remind him of himself and he has a way with them because his mom does.

He and Bruce also loved listening to old radio serials like the Gray Ghost and The Shadow, so Grayson implements the tactics of The Shadow into his common Batman kit.

He'd be a drama kid if he wasn't railroaded into being Batman.

While being the Caped Crusader... Grayson is the definition of rage and efficiency. He has to be mindful of his limits and his Batsuit is armored in such a way to protect himself.

So imagine him fighting with a stick and metal claws and a whip, he's a blend of Batman and Catwoman with a bit of Nightwing.

He's also very measured and calm when not fighting. Often as to not scare civilians and unnerve villains when he's skulking towards them wanting to beat the tar out of them.

Well, that's his LAST resort. He tends to go for mind games rather than straight fisticuffs but can handle himself if desired. He doesn't have much of a Batgrowl, more like a soft, gentle monotone.

He does have a lot of gadgets in comparison to his father. Some more to make Batmanning more accessible. He does have his own Batmobile and that's pretty much it for vehicles.

His relationship with the GCPD is hostile. He doesn't care about them considering he has access to their records, and again, Babs is out of town but tries to help.

Meanwhile Gotham's falling apart at the seams by the time he returns.

As Grayson Wayne the Playboy... there isn't one. He has Ivy, or Page. He's happily partnered with either one of them and they're basically the talk of the town.

Even though he's highly introverted and his social battery is nonexistent, Pamela tends to chase them off with a glare, while Page would whip them all into an excited crowd as she regales them with glamourous tales to help Grayson get away.

Love Interests.

Back when Grayson was younger, he was a real hit with the uppercrust of Gotham, being the Prince of the City had it's benefits. Of course, there were several people who wanted to take advantage. None moreso than former actress Gloria Monroe and her daughter Page.

Gloria wanted to marry Page off to the Waynes as a backup plan if the acting didn't work out.

Of course, Page initially didn't want to be there, until she saw Grayson go into the manor's library for a little social battery recharge with his wobbly cat, Wells.

Page was a child star, a rising sensation in the entertainment world, being a riches to rags back to riches story in GOTHAM was a big deal.

But with Grayson? She had a friend who never saw the actress and saw the girl underneath. Over the next few months, she would remember every day with him fondly as she slowly began to fracture, clinging to him and wanting him to stay with her.

Until one day he broke up with her. Telling her that he was leaving Gotham. Yet she still held feelings for him, and little did she know for a while after he did too.

She has a very good memory for dates and often reminisces on the days where she was beautiful, the days where she had a wobbly cat and the heart of the Prince of Gotham.

There's a theme of getting back what you lost before with Page. Echoes of Sunset Boulevard, too. Constantly trying to stay relevant, to stay beautiful, to stay as she was before.

She's the first person the newly returned Batman saves. Page and Grayson reunite and she's on the very edge of snapping after losing a job and being rejected from new ones for not being what they wanted.

As a further partner, Page would be a pretty capable partner considering Mean Seasons, and this versions acting skills. Plus she'd appreciate her Gracey's efforts to reform Gotham with her as his spokeswoman.

She still would wear her mask if she gets overwhelmed or scared.

Pamela Isley met Grayson at a college party. Both of them being intense introverts but she was outspoken and very strong-willed. Something the quieter, softer Grayson needed help with regaining. Pamela also was a botany student, very intelligent and successful.

She was also intensely against all forms of authority, and would easily, easily be ACAB and maybe an Anarchist. Ironic considering that her boyfriend used to be a Robin.

Although nowadays Grayson would agree with her on a lot of points. She ended up radicalizing him.

Grayson steadily forgot about Gotham with her. Saw the light and saw getting better as a possibility. For himself, and to be a better man for her and his family.

However, the experiments that she was undergoing to protect the plants she loved and by extension protecting him from the wider world because he was one of the only people who saw her as more of a person other than her family killed her.

But like Grayson, Pamela rose again. Her goal is to tear down the corruption of Gotham, and make a garden in its place, to be the salvation of the planet as well as the idea of being alone with the people she loves completely safe.

Of course Dr. Woodrue's goal was to precisely make an embodiment of the Green to combat humanity's expansion and grasp immortality. And while Dr. Isley finds it cruelly ironic that her daughter went down the same road...

Pamela sees it as a new opportunity. If only she could stop thinking about Grayson and see it through to the end. She's extremely antisocial towards other people and only still loves Grayson because he respects her autonomy and adores her for who she is.

Also during parties she scares people off. As Ivy, she's a very hostile person to whoever or whatever is getting in her way, but she helps Grayson because they have a similar goal. A better Gotham.

The only reason WHY she goes to these galas is to make people wildly uncomfortable. Also picking out more targets for her partner to take down, it's a whole system.

Also she absolutely has various plant monsters throughout Gotham just waiting for a citywide threat even though Grayson harps on it.
