If you’re the type of girl that dislikes fuckboys because you think they’re disrespectful towards women, then what are you doing to earn respect? In my experience, most of the girls that fuck with fuckboys are actually treated pretty fairly, it’s just a different kind of fair because they’re not ready to be responsible yet. What confuses me the most though, is the women attracted to fuckboys, because they see the real man in them, that think they deserve the respect of that man, but then continue to avoid responsibility while also complaining about being treated like a girl and not a woman. These women try to drag these men down with them into their pit of internal despair, because they assume if someone is suffering with them, then they will suffer less. rewatching season one of drawtectives and all of york's cultural blindspots fit pretty well into the idea that the northern tribes are nomadic. he's not dumb, he just doesn't know urban systems and human culture, but he especially doesn't know things that are tied to housedwelling. he can read in orcish, he can do quick mental math, he has a well-articulated critique of power dynamics, he's learned in skills that are easily portable. even the idea that orcs can't refuse an invitation suggests a culture where giving and receiving hospitality rather than items is the primary means of displaying status.

none of this is intentional, i'm sure, but it's kind of neat that it hangs together well enough with that interpretation
