Prince Michael would occasionally represent Queen Elizabeth II at some functions in Commonwealth realms outside the United Kingdom during her reign. Otherwise, he manages his own consultancy business and undertakes various commercial work around the world. He has also presented some television documentaries on the royal families of Europe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 1978 he married Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz and together have two children. He is a qualified Russian interpreter and also speaks fluent French as well as having a "working knowledge" of German and Italian. OK, I guess it's official. I'm a royalty fucker. I have yet to see a member of the British royal family that I wouldn't fuck. Wait… I wouldn't fuck his brother, Prince Edward. That’s the line.

Random British Royal tidbits
I'm reading "The Vanity Fair Diaries" by Tina Brown and came across this tidbit:
Tumblr media
Monday May 26, 1986
"We had lunch with the preposterous Princess Michael of Kent, who looked about fifteen hands high in an orange silk wrap dress. She has developed a mad, false laugh and a new Lady Bracknell voice for dealing with inferiors. "Row-eena," she gushed at the cowed debutante she totes around as her "lady in waiting." "where is the Dom Perignon? It was sitting outside but those fooooools have taken it away! Find it!" (Mad false laugh.) "Isn't the service quite diabolical? Do shut the kitchen door, Rowena. I hate to stare into a kitchen!"
From The Vanity Fair Diaries by Tina Brown, p. 199
Princess Michael of Kent, nee' Baroness Marie-Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida von Reibnitz, would have been 41 at the time of this lunch. She was born in the German-occupied Sudetenland in what is now the Czech Republic. Her father, Baron Günther Hubertus von Reibnitz, was a descendant of the ancient Reibnitz family, Silesian landowners, who trace their ancestry back to 1288. He was a Nazi party member and a SS calvary officer during WWII.
Princess Michael's mother was Countess Maria Anna Carolina Franziska Walburga Bernadette Szapary von Muraszombath, Szechysziget und Szapar.  The House of Szapáry is an old and important Hungarian noble family. Members of this family held the title of Imperial Count granted to them on 28 December 1722 by Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor.
Princess Michael's parents divorced n 1948 and she with her mother and eldest brother moved to Rose Bay, Australia. In the early 1960s, she lived with her father on his farm in Mozambique.  She then went from Vienna to London to study History of Fine and Decorative Art at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Tumblr media
She first married an English banker in 1971, but divorced in 1977. Once month after her marriage was annulled by the Pope, she married Prince Michael of Kent, Queen Elizabeth II's first cousin. She has said that Lord Mountbatten played matchmaker.
The lady-in-waiting mentioned in the excerpt is The Hon. Rowena Hawke Leatham Sanders, daughter of the 9th Baron Hawke of Towton.
Tumblr media
The Baron of Towton peerage title was created on 20 May 1776 for the admiral Sir Edward Hawke (of Scarthingwell Hall in the parish of Towton), responsible for a blockade of all French merchant shipping and the grounding of six French ships, and scattering of the rest, at the Battle of Quiberon Bay.
Tumblr media
Rowena Hawke's sister, Annabel, pictured above.
Tumblr media
Rowena's father, Bladen Wilmer Hawke, 9th Baron of Towton, above. He served as a Lord-in-waiting (government whip in the House of Lords from 1953 to 1957 in the Conservative administrations of Churchill, Eden and MacMillan.
Tumblr media
Another of Rowena's sisters, Lavinia, married Nicholas MacLean-Bristol. She became a Justice of the Peace and lives in 15th century Old Breachacha Castle on the Isle of Coll in Scotland. This tower fortress was the stronghold of the MacLean clan. The Isle of Coll was granted to the MacLeans in 1431. There is also a new "castle" on this island, built in 1750, which is available to rent for just £1500 for a party of two for one week.
Tumblr media
Rowena lives at Hankerton Priory, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, and borrowed a page from her sister's notebook, as her home is also available as an Air BNB rental - hosted by Rowena! Perhaps she will tell you stories about her days with Princess Michael if you stay with her?

Today is 115 years since the birth of HRH Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark Duchess of Kent 13–12–1906
Princess Marina was born on 13 December 1906 in Athens, Greece, during the reign of her paternal grandfather, George I of Greece. She was the third and youngest daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark, and his wife Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia.
In my opinion she was the most beautiful and stile full member of the Greek Royal dynasty ever
Her father was the third son of George I of Greece and Queen Olga, while her mother was the only daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich and Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia. Her father was a grandson of Christian IX of Denmark, while her mother was a granddaughter of Emperor Alexander II of Russia.
Princess Marina had two elder sisters, Princess Olga and Princess Elizabeth. Princess Olga married Prince Paul of Yugoslavia in 1923. After the assassination of his cousin, Alexander I of Yugoslavia, Paul served as Prince Regent of Yugoslavia from 1934 to 1941. Princess Elizabeth married Carl Theodor, Count of Toeerring-Jettenbach in 1934.One of their paternal uncles was Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, the father of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (making Marina and her sisters Philip's first cousins)
Marina spent her early years in Greece, and lived with her parents and paternal grandparents at Tatoi Palace. Along with her sisters, she was raised to be devout and religious, which was encouraged by her grandmother, Queen Olga of Greece.Marina's family travelled outside of Greece often, especially during the summer months. Her first recorded visit to Britain was in 1910 after the death of her godfather, Edward VII. She officially met her other godmother and future mother-in-law, Queen Mary, who treated Marina and her sisters like her own children.
The Greek royal family was forced into exile when Marina was 11, following the overthrow of the Greek monarchy. They later moved to Paris, while the Princess stayed with her extended family throughout Europe.
In 1932, Princess Marina and Prince George (later the Duke of Kent), a second cousin through Christian IX of Denmark, met in London.Their betrothal was announced in August 1934.Prince George was created Duke of Kent on 9 October 1934.On 29 November 1934, they married at Westminster Abbey, London. The wedding was a grand affair, as it had been more than ten years since the last royal wedding with Prince Albert, Duke of York, and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. The wedding of Prince George and Princess Marina was the first royal wedding ceremony to be broadcast by wireless, and with the use of other technology, such as microphones.
The wedding was followed by a Greek ceremony in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace, which was converted into an Orthodox chapel for the ceremony. The wedding was the most recent occasion on which a foreign-born princess married into the British Royal Family
The couple had three children:
Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (9 October 1935): he married Katharine Worsley on 8 June 1961. They have three children.
Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy (25 December 1936): she married the Hon. Angus Ogilvy, son of David Ogilvy, 12th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Coke, on 24 April 1963. They had two children.
Prince Michael of Kent (4 July 1942): he married Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz and got two children.
HRH dyed from a brain tumour at Kensington Palace at 11.40 am on 27 August 1968, aged 61.Funeral service for the Princess was held at the St. George's Chapel on 30 August.
She was buried in the Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore. Her funeral was the final royal ceremony attended by her brother-in-law, the former Edward VIII.
Πριγκίπισσα Αλεξάνδρα , The Honourable Lady Ogilvy (25 Δεκεμβρίου 1936): παντρεύτηκε τον Hon. Angus Ogilvy, γιος του David Ogilvy, 12th Earl of Airlie και της Lady Alexandra Coke, στις 24 Απριλίου 1963.

On 30 June 1978, Prince Michael of Kent, the younger brother the Duke of Kent, wed Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz. ... Prince Michael of Kent and Marie-Christine von Reibnitz married in a civil ceremony at Vienna's Rathaus (City Hall) in Austria.
Michael is the paternal first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, and Marie Christine is of German, Austrian and Hungarian noble descent. She is the only daughter of Silesian nobleman Baron Gunther von Reibnitz and his Austro-Hungarian wife, Countess Maria Szapáry de Muraszombath.
The marriage made headlines at the time because Marie Christine von Reibnitz was not only a Roman Catholic but also a divorcée. Marie Christine was previously married to banker Thomas Troubridge, and the two separated in 1973 and divorced in 1977. The marriage was annulled by the Roman Catholic Church a year later and just two weeks before she married Prince Michael.
Michael proposed to Marie Christine with a two-stone sapphire-and-diamond ring with a very personal touch. It was made from gems that belonged to his late mother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (who was born a princess of Greece and Denmark).
Prince Michael of Kent and Marie-Christine von Reibnitz married in a civil ceremony at Vienna’s Rathaus (City Hall) in Austria. However, royal representation was limited. The groom’s brother, the Duke of Kent, and his sister, Princess Alexandra, attended as did Princess Anne and Lord Mountbatten. The couple later received a blessing of their marriage in a Roman Catholic ceremony on 29 June 1983 at the Archbishop’s House in London.
For the reception held after the wedding, Marie Christine wore the City of London Fringe Tiara and a 70s style dress. Upon marriage, she was accorded the style and title of Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent, the female equivalent of her husband’s title.
Under the Act of Settlement 1701, a bill passed by Parliament ensuring that only Protestants could ascend to the throne, Michael forfeited his place in line of succession to marry a Roman Catholic. However, the Prince was later reinstated after the Succession to the Crown Act 2013. This bill altered the laws of succession to the throne and famously ensured that the eldest child, regardless of sex, precedes his or her younger brothers and sisters.

Prince and Princess of Michael of Kent’s children are members of the Church of England and have been in the line of succession since birth. Lord Frederick Windsor was born 6 April 1979 at St Mary’s Hospital in London; his sister, Lady Gabriella Kingston, was born at the same hospital on 23 April 1981.
Tumblr media
Lady Gabriella Marina Alexandra Ophelia Kingston (née Windsor; born 23 April 1981) is an English freelance writer and a member of the British royal family. She is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. She is 55th in the line of succession to the British throne.
Lord Frederick Michael George David Louis Windsor (born 6 April 1979) is a British financial analyst, and the only son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. He is married to British actress Sophie Winkleman. He is currently 52nd in the line of succession to the British throne. He is president of Soldier On!, a charity for the professional development of vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

He was reinstated to the line of succession on 26 March 2015 with the coming into force of the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, and is 48th in line to the throne as of June 2018.
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent have two children, both of whom were brought up as members of the Church of England, and have therefore been in the line of succession to the throne since birth:
