Hi everyone! I am Gener Amparado, 21 years old and I live at Putatan, Muntinlupa. I am a third year college student of arts in communication in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. I like editing videos, making films or movies, doing graphic designs, or a computer literate person you can ever find. I am kind of aloof person but I find myself easy to cope with other people. I love watching movies, animes, series and I play a lot of computer games. and also I appreciate those people who cares about nature and sea turtles.
#Bucketlist, for me it is not just traveling around and going places after places or discovering new. It is something that set us to fill the purposes of life. It is to find what lingers with you as you grow that became part of our dreams.
I am Cassandra Ann Bagay but they used to call me "Sasa" and I am 21 years old. I'm currently residing at Barangay Sun Valley from the City of Parañaque. I am in class BACOMM-3B at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. I really do love watching Korean Drama series, especially at this time with the pandemic. By watching Korean Series, I get rid of getting bored with the thought of staying at home. I also love to listen to songs that matches my mood. I was a good child. I never acted out like I do now, but not that kind of as hard as a hard headed. I was always obedient and I had good grades, and with that grades, I am a Dean's lister. I had a positive outlook towards life. When it comes to my attitude, I'm bashful, but easy to get along with. My friends also said that I'm jolly and funny, but I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or what. Kidding aside, my favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:18, its says that "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us".
In our bucket list, it can be health goals, personal development goals, volunteer related goals, financial stability goals but many of us wants to start our list with the travel goals. Creating a bucket list can help you tap into the creative part of you that dreams bigger, nurtures your inner child, and makes life more worthwhile. Once you've put your creative side into play by creating the bucket list, your everyday self can stay inspired to put those dreams and plans into action. Also creating a bucket list can keep us in touch with these goals we have and can help us keep track of them as we plan them into our lives and check them off upon completion.
Simply creating the list can be fun. Sharing your list with others, revisiting your list over time, and checking off your experiences as you collect them, can all be ways to enjoy life more, and share the fun.

a trip within brgy. putatan
Last November 29, 2019, I went to pay the barangay hall of Putatan, Muntinlupa City a visit with my ka-barangay classmate. Fortunately, the staff were pretty much welcoming and would gladly entertain us and our questions. We got to talk to the Brgy. Secretary, Mr. Marcos Ellema Jr., about how brgy. Putatan actually handle natural calamities.
Now, read on to know what we got from our interview
The city of Muntinlupa in general has faced several calamities already throughout the years and the worst one recorded so far was bagyong Ondoy that took place a decade ago, in the year 2009. The said event caused certain parts of the barangay to flood and residents were asked to evacuate from their homes. Why does it flood in our place? Apparently we are located near Laguna de Bay, so if the water rises to a definite level, then our place will be affected and end up flooded.
The location of Aplaya, brgy. Putatan, Muntinlupa city along with other barangays are the most affected and damaged places when typhoons make a landfall in the Philippines. Many fishermen and farmers’ who live near the bay, especially their hanap buhay or businesses are always affected during hazardous occurrences. However, the barangay has come prepared for such and not only for flood. Earthquakes, typhoon, extreme fire, they will have it under control as soon as possible.
The BDRRM team that is led by Mr. Chris Alvaran are in-charge of the barangay’s safety. During our visit, Mr. Alvaran toured us around the office of the BDRRM team and enlightened us about the processes that take place during emergencies, the equipment and vehicles used, plus the evacuation centers in the barangay. He mentioned that there is a solar-powered siren sited somewhere along the part of Laguna de Bay that is near Muntinlupa City that alarms really loud when the water level rises to the same height as the land and when rain water fills its bucket up to the brim. Evacuation centers can be found surrounding the Barangay hall, where one would be the basketball court just beside the hall that can fit up to 300 families, and the other one will be Putatan Elementary School where affected families may utilize the classrooms and the campus’ gymnasium for shelter.
In addition, the barangay has 24/7 security surveillance cameras all around, to monitor the safety of its residents. They are also well equipped with brand new hazard-ready materials such as the firemen suits, huge number of modular tents, first-aid, and other safety gears. Mr Alvaran also said that the current office of BDRRM is just temporary for their new office is still in the process of being built, hopefully by 2020 it will be done so they can move there. Plus, Brgy. Putatan has just bought a big lot (photo above) that is to be made as a new evacuation center starting next year 2020, and I guess that is something we should be proud of. We continue to improve and provide a helping hand in order to have a better community and place to live in.
Photographs below are from the rest of the tour, feel free to view them!

BDRRM Kwentuhan
Barangay Putatan of Muntinlupa City is a very congested and small barangay wherein most of the people’s livelihood are fishing (since Brgy. Putatan is right next to Laguna Bay), truck, pedicab and tricycle drivers. Though, there are also private subdivisions and villages inside it, the people who are heavily affected by natural calamities are the ones in the lower side and near the Laguna Bay. People who live near San Guillermo St. (San Guillermo St. is a street that connects most of the rural areas of the barangays in Muntinlupa City) become the most vulnerable in typhoones and earthquakes because of how low their land area is.
One of the WORST experiences of Barangay Putatan when it comes to natural calamaties was Bagyong Ondoy especially in the Sagibas, Baybayin and Aplaya area because as the waters in Laguna Bay rose, so did the floods in those areas. Because of this, families were evacuated to Putatan Elementary School and the covered of the barangay. There is also a soon to be established main evacuation center of Putatan, which is three-storeys tall and will start construction in 2020. So far, only the land is available (refer to fig.1, fig. 2 and fig. 3 respectedly below). Also, affected families are given relief goods for these times which is donated by the government, and neighbors from the same barangay.
Fig. 1 Putatan Elementary school. Evacuees are commonly positioned inside the classrooms where it is high
Fig. 2 Putatan Covered Court which is estimated to be 150 sqm. which can fit about 300 families
Fig. 3 Land wherein the three-storey evacuation center shall be established and is also 150sqm.
Barangay Putatan has a BDRRM and rescue team who are very-well prepared and equipped when it comes to evacuating people. In addition, the said barangay has a siren (refer to fig. 4 below) near the Laguna Bay wherein it alarms when the water rises to different levels, composing of four levels, when the siren hits the third level, the alarm starts working non-stop which means families must IMMEDIATELY evacuate. This siren is powered by solar energy. To add, these two teams, the BDRRM and rescue team is headed by Chris Albaran, a resident of Barangay Putatan.
Fig. 4 Solar-powered siren that activates its alarm non-stop and very loud when waters reach the third level which is a call for evacuation for the residents
Some of the issues that are confronting the community is littering and congestion. Many residents of Barangay Putatan continously litter along the streets and rivers which cause great harm to the environment which result to floods. There is also congestion; many informal settlers scatter along the streets without proper residence. This results to panicking and lack of knowledge when calamities happen such as earthquakes and floods. A possible solution for the local government is to continue educating the residents of barangay putatan through seminars and workshops to prevent disaster. The government must also be very strict when it comes to trash, assure that people who continue to damage the environment with their trash be penalized and also must be alert and add more numbers to the waste segragation department such as garbage trucks and workers.
As I relate this to the current situation of the country, many filipino workers also lose their jobs because of natural calamities such as farmers and fishermen. Equipment and crops get destroyed because of these calamities. This must also be given notice and immediately be put into action for the betterment of our filipino workers. Many filipinos as well have this mentality of letting others, such as to the government, do their jobs like throwing trash and having proper residence. That is why when typhoons and earthquakes come, many people are deeply affected. I personally believe that there is a solution to all of this. As a NSTP student of UST, I devote myself in helping my co-filipinos be knowledgable about what to do and not to do in our daily lives and during natural disasters/calamities.
The BDRRM head stated that there is really not much for Brgy. Putatan to be proud of in terms of uniqueness among other barangays, but what it is proud of is its dedication to help in improving the livelihood of every resident and provide a safe environment for each one. Barangay Putatan makes sure it is always ready for emergency and disasters.
Let us all address these issues by uniting to help those who are in need and lack knowledge. We must not judge them for we all have different backgrounds, and the people in the streets do not have the privilege of education unlike us. So let us impart our knowledge to these people, and not only rely on the government. As citizens, we are the fuels for safety and betterment of the community. Let us all do our part.

DOLE-NCR hires 177 displaced workers under TUPAD program for Laguna Lake clean-up drive
#PHinfo: DOLE-NCR hires 177 displaced workers under TUPAD program for Laguna Lake clean-up drive
CALOOCAN CITY, Dec. 16 (PIA) – The regional office of the Department of Labor & Employment in the National Capital Region in coordination with the City Government of Muntinlupa hired some 177 displaced workers to participate in a clean-up drive at the Laguna de Bay following the onslaught of the recent typhoons.
The workers were employed through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) of the DOLE.
Muntinlupa City, which shares a border of the Philippines' largest lake, was overcrowded with water lilies and had been preventing the local fishermen residing near the area to earn a living.
According to the DOLE-NCR MUNTAPARLAS Field Office the displaced worker-beneficiaries came from Barangays Putatan and Bayanan and were hired for 14 days at four (4) hours per day beginning November 27, 2020 to clean some parts of the lake.
“The residences of the TUPAD beneficiaries employed are near Baywalk or Laguna Lake. After the recent Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ullysses, this clean-up drive would be able to fulfill the wish of our local fishermen in the area,” said Zaza Garcia Platil, TUPAD Focal Person from PESO Muntinlupa.
“They were tasked to clean portions of Laguna de Bay that are blocked by water lilies preventing the smooth flow of the waterways and hinders the movement of the fishermen’s boats,” she added.
Before the actual clean-up drive, Platil said that the beneficiaries attended first a basic orientation on safety and health with provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that includes a hat, TUPAD long sleeve shirts, and a facemask. They were also reminded to strictly observe the physical distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
To assist the TUPAD workers in cleaning the lake, the City Lake Management Office of Muntinlupa City also provided boats and other equipment.
The City Government of Muntinlupa’s budget for the 177 TUPAD workers amounted to P1,375,998.00, which covered the beneficiaries’ wages, enrollment to group micro insurance, PPEs, and administrative cost. (DOLE-NCR/PIA-NCR)

inge showcases drinking water remedy know-how by way of worldwide projects
inge GmbH studies that its membrane technological innovation has been adopted in numerous large-scale projects all around the globe.
There is a increasing consciousness of the value of qualified consuming drinking water remedy and eco-welcoming solutions of wastewater reuse and recycling, the business suggests, and ultrafiltration (UF) has taken on an ever more significant role over the earlier 15-20 a long time in a broad range of drinking water remedy programs.
As remedy vegetation get more substantial, so do the problems involved in creating and operating them. The excellent and trustworthiness of factors has grow to be a key issue, and in depth technological assist from part suppliers has grow to be a important portion of profitable plant engineering projects.
Accra, Ghana (Africa)
Big portions of consuming drinking water are demanded for the metropolitan region of the Ghanaian funds Accra. To fulfill these desires, a seawater desalination plant was opened about two a long time in the past in Nungua Township, some 12 km from Accra.
The plant employs reverse osmosis (RO) to create 60,000 m3 of consuming drinking water a working day for all around 500,000 people today. Adhering to a arduous selection process, the plant contractor selected inge to equip the plant with 10 UF strains as a pretreatment phase for RO. As properly as specifying UF technological innovation, consulting know-how and engineering services at the preparing phase, the shopper also asked for an expanded package of services for this job. inge offered its higher-functionality ultrafiltration racks with its patented Multibore membrane fibres, as properly as the central header pipes, valve units, regional instrumentation and assembly of the UF strains.
Irrespective of the point that the excellent of the feedwater turned out to be appreciably decrease than the figures said in the tender, the UF process has been correctly providing 135,000 m3 a day of pre-filtered drinking water to the RO phase.
Putatan in the Philippines
Private drinking water business Maynilad operates in the western portion of the Manila metropolitan region in the Philippines, providing consuming drinking water to over 9 million people today. Maynilad runs three drinking water remedy vegetation, one of which – located in the Putatan barangay in the town of Muntinlupa – employs inge ultrafiltration technological innovation.
The drinking water is drawn from the Laguna Lake, which lies to the south-east of Manila and borders Muntinlupa. The lake drinking water undergoes a arduous filtration process in advance of currently being employed to provide 490,000 people today with a full of 150 million liters of clean consuming drinking water a working day, 50 million liters of which is filtered by inge ultrafiltration technological innovation.
Purifying the drinking water poses significant problems. As properly as seasonal variants in drinking water excellent, the lake also becomes soiled by industries nearby. Irrespective of the inadequate excellent of the lake drinking water, the inge ultrafiltration products have been operating without a hitch for the earlier two a long time.
The abide by-on job, which is due to be concluded in 2018, is also based mostly all around inge modules.
Jamnagar in India
This job in the Indian town of Jamnagar was the largest sea drinking water desalination plant that inge experienced at any time geared up with its membrane technological innovation. Developed by the contractor IDE Systems, the plant supplies process drinking water to one of the world’s most significant refinery complexes in Jamnagar, which is located in the Indian point out of Gujarat. inge supplied the UF modules employed as a pretreatment phase for reverse osmosis (RO) in the seawater desalination process.
Over 4,000 T-Rack 3. modules went on the net in April 2017. Considering the fact that then, they have been providing 456 million liters of pre-cleaned drinking water a working day to the RO units. The UF pretreatment phase is mentioned to improve the excellent of the sea drinking water that is taken care of applying common pre-cleansing solutions. The UF modules engage in a significant role in preserving the sensitive reverse osmosis membranes.
Jazan in Saudi Arabia
This project involved a plant in the port town of Jazan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, located on the coastline of the Pink Sea. The UF membrane gurus had been picked by petroleum business Saudi Aramco to provide UF modules as a pretreatment phase for a sea drinking water desalination plant. The inge modules are intended to supply 105,000 m3 of filtered drinking water a day to the reverse osmosis phase.
A more sea drinking water desalination plant has previously been commissioned in Jazan, which will deploy inge UF technological innovation as a pretreatment phase for RO. The new plant will be employed to change seawater into consuming drinking water for Jazan Financial Town, a just lately set up town 60 kim north-east of Jazan. The UF process will have an output of 168 MLD (44.4 MGD). The consuming drinking water remedy plant is expected to be up and operating by the finish of 2018.
TUAS III – Singapore
The new seawater desalination plant TUAS III is presently underneath construction and is scheduled to come on the net by the finish of 2017. inge GmbH is providing the UF process to pretreat 289,000 m3 a day of pre-filtered drinking water for the subsequent reverse osmosis phase.
This is the very first seawater desalination plant in Singapore that will be operate straight by the national drinking water agency PUB.
