EVERYTHING THAT WASN'T INCLUDED IN LOVE SEA THE SERIES 🌊
Episode 4 (Chapters: 12 - 14)

Breaking a promise
Rak felt like shit here. He had called Mook to extend his stay but his secretary had refused sternly; so after Mut spent two nights pleading for him to stay, Rak tried to find an excuse to keep his promise. He considered telling his secretary that the manuscript wasn't finished, that he needed more time, even considered telling her all the boats had sunk and it was impossible for him to go back to the mainland. But in the end, he had no choice but to admit defeat. He felt terrible for breaking his promise to Mut, meanwhile the younger boy appeared almost unfazed. His face was "just the usual, totally normal one, with the usual smile and the same look. Not a hint of regret."
"If he didn't care, then why would I?"
So Rak picked up his phone and transfered Mut the money for "his services". Now more than ever, Tongrak was convinced that all that had happened between them was just sex. Mut sold his service and Rak had bought it. Nothing he hadn't already done before with other people...
...yet, Rak had "never felt this hollow"
How much would it cost for you to go to Bangkok with me?
That hollow feeling in Rak's chest kept expanding. Memories of the time spent together with Mut flashed through his mind until a sudden warmth urged him to move. Tongrak was confident in his decision, in asking Mut to go with him. However, he still insisted that what he was feeling was not love. That it was just personal pleasure. And if he could afford it, what was the problem?
"The guy sold his service anyway. Right?"
WHAT!!!??
She didn't like this man at all. That's what Mook kept telling herself when she saw the man her boss had brought back with him. He made her feel "as tiny as an ant". Mook had screamed so loud upon hearing what Rak had done, that the airport staff almost came over to ask what was wrong.
"Brought back, as in purchasing?! Are people buying and selling men now?!"
I don't trust you
Mook wanted to back down the moment she met eyes with Mut. She wasn't familiar with men at all, the only men she was close with were her family members and Rak. Mut intimidated her, with his big body and his dark and scary face, so much so it made her want to cry. But no one could be trusted this days, what if this man assaulted Rak? What if he stabbed her boss with a knife in his sleep?
"She had to protect Rak!"
Mut, on the other hand, found her amusing. She was so small, he could "probably blow her away with a puff". But he was never one to bully someone weaker, so he turned to Rak.
"What should i do? If I show respect, she won't back down. But if you tell me to handle her, this little lady won't stand a chance."
Little Trivia: Rak's house
Contrary to the show, Rak's house is on the 27th floor of a very luxurious condo complex in the heart of Bangkok. It has 3 bedrooms, with the main one featuring a large wall window that offered a wonderful view of the bustling streets below. As for the other two bedrooms, one is a guest bedroom and the other one a study crammed with books. As for the kitchen, it is entirely made of Italian marble and has, basically, never been used.
Bro, are you crazy?!
This phone call actually happens after Rak and Mook have already set off to work. Mook had been waiting outside the door to Rak's house as soon as the sun was up, too terrified to enter on her own and find the two men fucking in the living room, so she waited for Mut to let her in. After the secretary and her boss had left, Mut gets a call from Palm. The younger boy kept shouting and calling him crazy, but Mut knew very well what he was doing. Many people would describe him as very mature for his age, but Mut knew he still tended to act childish at times. Just like he had done now. Following a man to the mainland with no plan whatsoever, simply because he was unwilling to let him go. Mahasamut knew that their paths would most likely never cross again, this was the only opportunity he had to keep Tongrak close. And he would not let it go.
Little Trivia pt.2: Mahasamut's age
Mut's age is never explicitly confirmed in the novel, however thanks to Khom we can figure it out. In "Love Sand", the story of Khom and Connor meeting and falling in love takes place when Khom is 19 years old. Many characters of Love Sea appear as side characters, including Palm and Mut. Palm is described as a boy around 17 years old, while Mut is "a few years older than him and around Khom's age". Fast forward to Love Sea (that chronologically takes place a while after the events of Love Sand), Mut describes Khom as his "younger close friend and brother". Also, in the prologue of Love Sea, Tongrak tells us that Khom is a decade younger than him. Since Rak is about to turn 31 and the two boys are around the same age, with Mut being apparently slightly older, Mahasamut should be around 21-22 years old, making the age gap between Mutrak around 9 or 10 years!
DISCLAIMER🚨: I have not read Love Sand, all the infos I have written come from people I know that have read it. Therefore, I apologize if something is incorrect🙇🏽♀️
Can you read the report and understand it?
Fortunately for Mook, Mahasamut had decided to go to the hospital alone and not drag her along. Said report was currently being examined by Tongrak and poor Mook couldn't help but wonder why her boss was smiling like that. How could a report make him so happy? She didn't understand anything of what was written, she didn't know a thing about STDs. How could she, she had never even had sex with anyone. Her confusion faded when Mahasamut explained he was clean, only to be quickly replaced by embarrassment at his next words.
"Maybe next time we can skip the rubber. I promise I'll pull out"
Yet, nothing could prepare her for Rak's answer
"Who said you have to?"
Mut kept teasing Mook for a while after that, while Rak observed them in the distance
"They get along very well. This is nice. The room isn't quiet anymore."
What if I say I won't agree to it?
Mut read the contents of the contract: Tongrak would provide him sixty thousand bahts monthly as compensation and cover all of his living expenses, including housing, food and even education, if he wished to pursue it. However, Mut had obligations as well: not disturbing Rak during working hours, not doing anything Tongrak disliked and, most of all, their relationship would end immediately at the writer's discretion. There was no love, nor commitment included. Mahasamut had to supress a growl in his throat. He disliked what Rak was doing, disliked how he was treating their relationship as if there was nothing but sex between them, nothing but money. But he knew this was the only opportunity he had to get close to Tongrak and he couldn't let it slip away, even if he wouldn't have much time. So, all he could do was clench his fists and hide his thoughts with a perfectly fine smile.
So, you're saying you can love me, Khun Tongrak?
Being very fair-skinned, when all his blood rushed to his face, Rak easily turned a bright red that let everyone know he was blushing. And Mut's words had him blushing hard. Tongrak had experienced every kind of flirtation imaginable from both men and women, but just a few words from Mut were enough to leave him speechless. Had the younger boy not read the contract? Had he not realized there was no emotional attachment between them, only money? How could he be so brazen in asking for love? But, most of all, why the hell did Rak's heart skip a beat?!
Vivi was very impressed by the island boy. She knew there must have been something special between them if Rak had brought him home; just as she knew how much her friend deeply craved for someone's love, even if he refused to admit it.
"You can just call me Vi, no prefix needed. And if Rak ever dumps you, just come to Big Sis. I like you."
"That might be difficult," Mut declined, "I won't let myself get dumped so easily"
And Mahasamut had never been more serious. He wouldn't let Tongrak drift away from him.
"I didn't say you could come in" "But you didn't say I couldn't come in either"
Here Mut actually enters Rak's room and sits on his bed, while the older man is busy playing on his phone. Unable to ignore Mut's gaze any longer, Rak put his phone down and looked up at him.
"That's better. Didn't anyone tell you that when you talk, you should make eye contact with the person you're talking to?"
Finally they talk about the contract, about their conversation downstairs and about how Rak doesn't believe in love, and this all but puts a sad smile on Mut's face. So, the younger boy reaches out to hold Rak's hand and intertwine their fingers.
"I know you don't believe in love, but I never said that I don't [...], you can't stop me from loving you."
Tongrak was at a loss for words. Confusion was written all over his face. He had never dealt with a situation like this before. He had never met anyone who said they'd love him.
👨🏻❤️💋👨🏻
THIS. THIS IS THE MOMENT I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR.
In the novel, this does NOT happen. Or, better said, it is not a kiss on the lips. It's a kiss on Rak's temple. Now, why am i putting so much emphasis on this, you might be asking. I think this is another masterpiece of improv by our ship captain Khun Thitipong. In the novel, there is A LOT of emphasis on the fact that Mut desperately wanted to kiss Rak's lips but, since he had just made a very important speech about pursuing Rak and making him change his mind about love, Mahasamut decided that he couldn't give in to his desire. He wanted the words he had just said to embed themselves in Rak's heart. To make Rak think about him, about them, as more than just what happens in bed, and that is something that would take time. So kissing his lips had to wait. Now, after making this such a big thing, I don't think Mame would just suddenly change her mind for the show. Therefore, if 1+1 is 2 and the shit-eating grin on Fort's face and Peat's eyes are anything to go by, I assume Thitiwhipped decided to take matters into his own hands. Also, it seems Peat hinted at this himself in the reaction video for episode 4: after watching the kiss scene, Peat himself asks Fort if the kiss was scripted or just his improvisation.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk 🫳🏽🎤

In you’ve ever thought that the policy we make here in the US doesn’t affect the entire planet, this week has chosen to prove you wrong.
KLM flight 1204 from Oslo, Norway to Amsterdam made an emergency landing in Sandefjord, Norway at about 7pm local time Saturday 12/28, roughly an hour after taking off. The aircraft experienced a hydraulic failure and ended up skidding off the runway and into the grass. Fortunately, none of the 182 passengers and crew were injured.
Jeju Air flight 2216 from Bangkok, Thailand to Muan International Airport in South Korea crashed shortly after 9am local time Sunday morning 12/29, approximately 6 hours after the KLM flight malfunction, killing 179 of the 181 people on board. The plane suffered a bird strike, which killed an engine, then reportedly had a fire start on board, was cleared to make an emergency landing in the wrong direction on the runway, its landing gear failed, it skidded into a concrete wall and exploded on impact. There is a video circulating, it is very difficult to watch.
Jeju Air flight 7C101 from Seoul, South Korea to Jeju Island returned to Seoul at about 7am local time Monday morning, approximately 20 minutes after takeoff and 22 hours after the 2216 crash, when its indicators signaled a landing gear issue. It fortunately landed safely and its passengers were transferred to an alternate flight, save for 21 people who cited safety concerns and chose not to be rebooked.
These three incidents all occurred on Boeing 737-800 planes within 28 hours of each other and two of them explicitly involved landing gear issues. It is a miracle that only one was deadly. I cannot even begin to imagine the feeling of racing toward your certain death at a speed of several hundred miles per hour knowing there’s nothing you can do, especially for the pilots who could see the wall coming and knew they didn’t have any way of slowing themselves down. It’s a horrifying atrocity and has led to the South Korean government rightfully grounding and inspecting all 737-800 planes.
Boeing is an American company that manufactures in America and is subject to American manufacturing and safety standards and regulated by the FAA. To my knowledge, none of the passengers or crew members on any of these flights were Americans. And yet here they are, having their lives irreparably affected and even destroyed by American policy. From the 179 victims on flight 2216, there are over 600 body parts that first responders are having to identify and match in order to return bodies to families. Some of them likely won’t ever be identified, such as the pilots who took the impact first and who were almost certainly completely obliterated.
Boeing has been the subject of over 200 whistleblower complaints and multiple lawsuits in 2024, alleging that they push quantity over quality, have ignored quality control errors and flags, and have let planes with known mechanical defects get shipped anyway. Two Boeing whistleblowers died this year within weeks of being publicly identified, and a third who was identified in early December says they fear for their life.
American policy is directly responsible for this. Capitalism is directly responsible for this. Deregulation and lack of oversight are directly responsible for this. Our government’s failure to hold corporations accountable is directly responsible for this.

Jom giving Khun Yai advices about the future - A scene from EP. 10 of I Feel You Linger In The Air
If you asked me my top 5 all-time favorite scenes from IFYLITA, I think this scene where Jom was scratching Yai's back while casually giving him advices about the future would definitely be in the top 5 (and at certain times I think I like this scene most.
One of the biggest grievances/qualms IFYLITA novel readers may have with the adaptation is probably series!Jom isn't as self-aware that he is an architect from the 21st century as book!Jom who was definitely depicted to be a little more sassy and constantly reminding himself that he's an architecture who has modern skills that can definitely be put to good use.
But this scene in EP. 10 of IFYLITA, corresponding with Chapter 11: Return Love to The Wind of the novel, is one of the brilliant moments where book!Jom completely comes to life through the portrayal of Nonkul Chanon.
Rather than dissecting the scene step by step, I've quoted this particular excerpt from the novel, paired with the gifset I made of the scene from ep.10.
Worried by the thought, I ask out a question. "Khun–Yai, since your family moved from Bangkok, it means the Luang has houses and properties in the province, doesn't he?"
"The province?" Khun–Yai turns his head.
I slap my mouth once in aggravation. Bangkok in this era is probably referred to as the Bangkok Region and the Capital. "Sorry. It was a mistake. What I mean is, did your family move from the Capital?"
Khun–Yai eyes me with mild suspicion but still answers, "Yes. My father owns plenty of lands in the Capital. My mother also has hundreds of lands in Thonburi and Nakhon Pathom. My grandfather transferred the ownership of the properties to her before she was born. Why do you ask?"
Oh…So, his parents have always been well–off. I take a deep breath and speak in all seriousness.
"Keep the lands safe. If not necessary, don't ever sell them. The prices of lands in Thonburi will be higher than gold in a short time. Capitalize the farms and paddy fields. If you don't gain much profit from renting them out, take care of them yourself. Hire workers and manage your own lands. As for the properties in the Capital, I hope you protect them with your life. Build residences or row houses for rent and collect the monthly rental fees. You will make more money than the salary of a civil servant."
I have thought it out with ambition. No matter what, I will not let Khun–Yai become a nobleman turning poor. He must have a business with a stably monthly income, not only a salary from any title. The row houses and everything will be designed in advance by me. I will do it for free, not charging a single coin. I am so engrossed in my plan that I don't notice Khun–Yai turning around and smiling.
"Do you know what you sound like?"
Seeing his weird, playful gaze, I ask right away, "What do I sound like?"
"You sound like a wife concerned about her husband's possessions, worried about how to gain profit from them," he stresses every word loud and clear.
"Khun–Yai!!!" I exclaim in shock, eyes widening.
"Yeah…?" Uggggggh. "Don't speak in such a sweet voice." My head hurts as if I have a migraine, but a contented grin paints Khun–Yai's face. "Please don't say that. It's inappropriate. Besides, I'm a man. I can't be a wife."
Bonus excerpt: "What is appropriate, then? Should I ask for your parents' blessings to have their son manage my possessions for the rest of my life?" "Khun–Yai, I'm begging you. Don't joke like this. I'm going to have a heart attack." My heart is fragile. "Please turn around so I can scratch your back." Seeing my serious expression, he relents and turns around, not forgetting to throw one last playfully flirtatious glance at me. I inhale and claw his back in annoyance. "Ohh…Poh–Jom, if you scratch that harshly, my back will break," Khun–Yai groans.
Note: Before the quoted excerpt, there's also an extensive part where Jom pondered on the consequences of WW2 and its effects on Thailand's civil servants or high-rank authorities and how he could helped Khun Yai. You can read the full novel here.
i just really like that although series!jom is a bit more clueless and deer-in-the-headlights than novel!jom, the series is still very careful with their adaptation and brought this scene to life where jom uses his 21th century knowledge to help take care of khun yai (ALSO MY BABY). like i just find this entire yaijom scene (that was cut from the TV version, outrageous) so damn cute and it's been months after the show has ended but my mind is still lingering in this scene.

Waypoints, Take 1: POV Complete Outsider
A little something, before we begin. In the history of this fandom, S's book was a critical juncture point. To explain my speculations and findings, it felt appropriate and fun to split it in two parts: the first, written from the POV of a complete outsider who happens to stumble upon Waypoints. The second would be a shipper's view, simply because this is who I am. Under no circumstances should it be understood that I recently took a flight to Bangkok, as I will immediately tell you (I wish I had!). Last time I used this rhetorical trick it went in flames, and I had to explain myself at length: you have been warned. Here goes and I apologize already - this is going to be LONG:
Hi, I am Sgian-Dubh and I have just boarded the LHR-BKK twelve -hour flight, after four years of forced COVID abstinence. I am brimming with anticipation for five o'clock tea at the Mandarin Oriental's Author Lounge, the speedboat transfers on the Chao Phraya and the first real Thai mango sticky rice.
Lo and behold, somebody has forgotten a book in the pocket in front of my seat, undetected by the cleaning ladies. It is written by a certain Sam Heughan. I have no idea who that guy is, but I am quickly informed about its topic: My Scottish Journey.
Ok. A travel book. Favorite genre. This guy is no Pico Iyer. No Robert Byron. And certainly no Freya Stark. But I've got roughly ten hours to kill: where's the harm?
The cover intrigues me. Not my type, but a very good-looking gentleman, with a rather determined, almost stern attitude and a dram of whisky in his left hand. Is he a unicorn entrepreneur? An inventor? The next UK astronaut? Impossible to tell. But hey, never judge a book by its cover.
It quickly becomes apparent that Heughan is the male lead in that lengthy Outlander series of already cult-ish reputation, that my mother watches with gusto ("call me in half an hour, I am watching The Wedding": might I add, for the 455th time in documented history) and The Guardian TV critic calls raunchy.
Six hours later, roughly by the second round of refreshments, I have questions.
The beginning is peculiar. This guy has a busy-busy-busy life and lives in a large country house all by himself, with a hissing coffee machine he just bought. There is something havishamesque about this premise, clashing with the self-assured, conqueror pose on the cover:
But there is hope: a decision is made on the spur of the moment to skedaddle and walk the 96 mile West Highland Way, rather than brood in front of the telly with Chinese delivery food and more alcohol, Bridget Jones style. Fair enough. Adequate equipment is immediately acquired in a frenzy and outside it is nasty raining. The new tent is mounted and dismounted in the living-room (who does this? who eats scrambled eggs with ketchup?).
Pitter-patter. And more pitter-patter. Damp, but heartwarming overnight stops in cozy hotels along the way and short conversations in Halloween-themed bars, surrounded by Highland zombies and banshees. Parritch and grit. The harsh encounter with homelessness along the way prompts the Good Samaritan reflex:
More pitter-patter. Entwined with the self-reliant feat, we start to follow a parallel trail to the narrator's past, by far the most interesting part of the book. Challenging beginnings, in a single parent family surrounded by love and dignified penury. A real shyness due to truly heartbreaking, unfairly absurd, almost debilitating circumstances:
Details like the above quickly grab the reader's attention, and how could they not? There is a lot of sensibility in there, rather aptly balanced with a whiff of Dickensian morality (stay true to your self) and of course, with one of the favorite Victorian refrains: play up, play up and play the game. Obstacles are patiently conquered with uncommon resilience and a true stubbornness, but for a very long time, life is a haphazard succession of opportunities and rebukes.
For such a good-looking man, women are sparse and far between. Ae fond kiss and then we sever at 10. Stage partners. A stage production assistant. The one who didn't last more than one week once moved in together. No explanation is provided and we sense this is an uneasy topic. I wouldn't insist, as a casual reader, but my curiosity is piqued.
At this point in time, breakfast is served. I have long lost track of the zip-a-dee-doo-dah trekking part of the book, involving a sulking, but nice bearded guy and his wife, chance brief encounters and mushrooms. But the Underdog Tale surely got my attention, even if we spend an extravagant amount of time between the London neo-slums and the glitter of Tinseltown: skipping to the essential, it eventually paid off.
With instant fame comes exposure and the lottery winner syndrome. What to do. How to cope. Women multiply as by magic, but only one is singled out and discussed in a strange, contrived, almost lackadaisical manner:
If this made me, the assumed Complete Outsider, stop in my tracks and scratch my head, I can only imagine what would happen to these people's fans. Why address folklore and conflated nonsense, at all? Why give space to hearsay? Why "it", when it should logically be "them"? Why the ambiguity? Why the uneasiness, spinning like floating wood in a sea of positivity? Why worry about that, when you drum the march of success and explain your bachelorhood by an unsolved Oedipus complex, thwarting any potential pairing?
I sip the horrible airline drip coffee and I ask:
Who is Caitriona to you, Mister Heughan?
You wrote a +150 pages long book beating around this bush. There are no such things. You are either life-long friends and this is a non-existent topic, or you are lying to yourself, lying to your readers and hiding in plain sight.
Time to disembark. I am keeping the book. I am not buying the whisky (naïve product placement on top). But hell I am going to watch that series on Netflix!

'Apo-Nattawin' faith and belief that effort never betrays dreams.
Before the day, I had the opportunity to talk with Apo. We looked at his IG first. And then was struck by the cute and fun poses of the pictures and reels he took with Doraemon.
“Very cute. And then when I went to see the biography of the person who wrote Doraemon (Fujio Fujiko), it was really cool. With the fact that he wrote down each chapter from his travels abroad and photographed it. Before drawing it into various episodes in Doraemon, when I was a kid I liked Doraemon. And read a lot of comic books. Whether Naruto or Doctor Slum,” Apo talks about what he got from the futuristic cat robot and continues:
“As an ambitious child, there will be a feeling that everything can happen. And Doraemon makes us feel that everything can really happen. I like that the writer has imagination and is able to express that. What is his imagination? That means that belief or imagination can actually happen. And it inspired me.”
Do you remember the picture of yourself as a child? What was Apo like?
If you go back to Boy Apo, you can see pictures of him and the city of Hua Hin. He was there. In a tenement house, living with parents, siblings, and grandmother. The family atmosphere is Thai-Chinese, we are used to parents speaking Thai and talking to children in Thai. But I will speak Chinese with Grandma. My family is a big, warm family.
It feels like a Chinese child if our parents speak Chinese to Grandma and Grandpa. Can you hear it?
I can hear it when he curses (laughs). It's when Grandma and Grandpa secretly talk to their parents. Complaining about us in Chinese to our parents. And when he speaks often, we will remember that this word is a curse word. It's like he's finished talking to us. Then scolding us and our parents. That's about it.
I know that when I was a child, I loved to pray with my mother.
I may not remember all the moments from that time. But my mother always told me that when I was a child When I cried, my mother would lead me up to pray with her. Which is already my mother's daily routine, So she took me up to pray with her. Because when we pray, we become quiet and gradually absorb it.
That's a picture of one activity you often did as a child.
Yes, when I was a child I didn't go out and play like other kids. For example, on New Year's, other people go out to play, go to temple festivals, watch fireworks, but for me, my parents take me to the temple to pray and make merit. As a child, there are activities that I always do at the temple with my family. That was a religious activity. When I entered Mathayom 4, I had to transfer from Hua Hin Wittayalai School to study at Yothinburana School in Bangkok. And that was the first time I realized that what our parents really instilled in us.
How?
When I moved to live alone, at first I was happy, feeling like a child who was now free. I know I'm growing up. But I'm staying in Bangkok for a while until the New Year festival. Eh... Where should I go? Other people have plans to travel there and here. But I can't imagine. My childhood memories take me back again. That is, going to the temple. So I went to Wat Amphawan in Sing Buri Province. Take the train to celebrate the New Year with yourself there, that is, go pray.
You said you went alone. It shows that you are a person who likes to do things alone. Have you ever felt lonely?
Actually, I have an older sister and a younger brother. But we weren't very close when we were kids. My older sister is at an all-girls school. As for his younger brother, he is at a boarding school. My parents tend to give their children a lot of freedom. So I'm not sure if I'm lonely or not. Because I saw my parents working hard. With the belief that education is important. We cannot deny that education comes with expenses. He works and sends us to study to have knowledge. Our children's duty is to study, so we don't feel lonely even though our parents still work hard.
It's said that changing schools takes you out of your comfort zone.
It's like starting a new life. Like putting clothes in a bag (laughs) because I studied in Hua Hin at the same school from kindergarten until the end of Mathayom 3. Changing schools is already a big deal. But moving provinces, moving is like having to learn a new life. We are like fish out of water. Because when I came to study in Bangkok, I didn't have any friends yet. As for his friends at school, he has a group that he has studied with since childhood. It's called having to continually adapt.
Coming to a new life in Bangkok It's like a path that was drawn to work in the entertainment industry.
I started by working first. Then had the opportunity to get to know P'Bem. He was the one who brought me to cast a drama on Channel 3, which overlapped with the time I was entering Rangsit University. And it's a young age where we don't have to follow many rules anymore. I didn't have to cut it. We wear whatever clothes we want to wear. I didn't study from morning until evening. I feel like I've grown into an adult. In addition, he also came to act in his first drama.
Sod Revenge Saen Rak It's the first drama where you worked with a big actor. And this drama is very famous.
Yes, but the drama will focus on the timeline of the senior generation. As for me, I'm a new kid, I'm very new, so people don't know me a bit.
GQ: But many people know Apo's name precisely from the first drama. But after that, you disappeared from the industry.
I disappeared. It's just thinking that people only have one life. So what will we do in life? That day, I was 25 years old and had not yet made a final decision with myself about which direction to take. One day we were filming a drama. Then there are 2 dramas a year. They finish filming, go out to work, and then start filming a new drama. Life is just a loop. There isn't much variety. In fact, I want to work on something that is diverse. I've been acting in dramas since I was 19 years old, and doing modeling, but I've never tried any other careers. In addition to playing the role of a character That is to do the career of that character. So I asked myself, should I go find something to do first? Even though at that time I loved being an actor. But I want to try and find something to do to fight for my life. It's really life, of one man, how to fight. First of all, I decided to focus on finishing my studies first. Then gradually go to settle in a foreign country.
GQ: That's the United States.
Yes, I went to New York with the intention of becoming an actor. I wanted to try. I always thought, if I had to leave tomorrow. And I haven't fulfilled my dream yet, I will regret it. But if I did it today, whatever the result will be, whatever it is. We just stepped out. That's all it takes to be happy.
GQ: How did you start following your dreams?
I sell everything. Selling here and there privately. Then collect all the clothes you have in Thailand. I mean, I guess I won't come back. The time when we were slowly packing up our things and booking plane tickets. Manage everything It's like life is about to start over. At that time, it was like, oh... This is the feeling of a person who dares to make a decision or do something seriously. Because all this time, my work is just modeling and acting. To be honest, it's about earning money. Which for me may not be the answer. Because when there is a good script or character, that will only be forwarded into the channel's working system.
GQ: What was it like starting a new life there? And what do you clearly see of the people there?
Let's start with the culture of the people there. I will explain it like this. Can you imagine that? In New York, we just step out of the house. No one walked slowly. If you don't walk the dog or eat anything, no one walked slowly. Everyone walks quickly. Therefore, it means that everyone has goals for their daily life. which we are one of them. It makes me feel happy to be in a place where everyone has the same energy as me.
Later, my first goal was to enter acting school. which requires a lot of money It's like having to have extra money to back up for university. I want to attend the William Esper Studio acting school, which aside from costing a lot of money, Must apply for visa correctly. So I went to study the language first.
But because the cost of living there is very high. And my background is not any type of person. You can sleep any way you want. At least if we have to live somewhere. Or we can do something to get us to the place we choose. It's better than having to save everything. Or go to a place where we don't want to be. If so, I would like to use more energy to stay in a good environment and room. That means I have to work harder. To be in the Bedford Avenue area, I think energy here is us. Because I think the Manhattan side is not energy like us.
Cutting back to the room, the room only has this space. (He assembled it by hand.) There was no wardrobe. I use the method of placing the suitcases close together. On the other side is a bed and a desk. which I need to fold all the laundry Allocate it to all areas. And on top of the head is a heater that can hold a few things that don't look too dangerous . Well, when I'm in a situation like this, I'm... well, that's really cool. That we live in a place we like, but oh my, the living conditions are very difficult. But I try to remember that day and say, OK, if one day we grow up, we will never forget this day. We have tried doing something like this. And then I was very happy.
GQ: From a child who lives with a large family. There are parents to take care of. Then one day I had to go live abroad, which was like having to start a new life. Was there any event where you felt like you were truly out of your shell?
Our families may not be very close. But I was taken care of by my parents, who could say that they made sure that even the littlest things, like assuming we were in Bangkok, Then he said he wanted a razor. He would buy it from Hua Hin and drive it to me. That is, he is a parent who loves his children and takes care of them that much. So that means I almost never have to fight on my own.
Until one day when I was in America, I went to buy oranges and remembered that 3 oranges cost 1.5 dollars. I thought "what if they were wrong?" So we I a picture. Okay, take 3 oranges and pay. It turned out that the employee was charging 1 coin per orange, making a total of 3 coins. That is, he was charging more than the promotional price at that time, so we, ah, got on with it (laughs). I took a picture for them to look at and said you were wrong. At that time, in my heart I was secretly afraid that he would scold me back. But as soon as he finished, what he replied was ' Ok fine! ' at that moment. It was the moment when I felt like, "Hey! You can do it here.
I walked out and stood in front of the store and held an orange and a receipt. Hey! He has given the wrong amount. He has given too much because of my love of justice. So I went back and told him again. I can remember the moment it came out. If it's a movie We were standing and the camera must have tracked in front of us. Then the camera panned up to the sky. Like the picture in the movie The Shawshank Redemption where Andy Dufresne gets out of prison . My feeling is like being free like that.
From the normal time of buying things I've never looked at what, how much, if it's the correct change. I've never looked at a receipt since I was born. Because someone takes care of us His parents will buy it for him. So I'm used to having my parents take care of me. But that day was the day I grew up! (smile)
GQ: Your life changed because of oranges.
Yes, it was one of the turning points because of Orange.
GQ: And another turning point that cannot be denied is that Kinn Porsche The Series has not made you known only in Thailand. But it goes far to the global level.
Speaking of that time, I still didn't understand anything. But when Be On Cloud came to do it, we knew right away that this was a turning point. He came and spread out the whole pattern, the script, the characters, everything. Okay, we started to see the picture. See the script being developed Until it started to get intense That's important because everyone believes the same thing. No one on the team said it was impossible. Everyone will believe that it is possible. Even I myself have never seen anything like Kinn Porsche have done before. The B on Cloud team and I did our very best and with every imagination we believed it would be possible.
Assuming 100 percent, it's possible 50-60 if you really work globally. It means their technology, their equipment, their creativity. Including various cultures Bring it together with us It should be able to create really cool work. Suppose you work with Christopher Nolan (Christopher Nolan), how many people in the world will there be? that can tell the story of the universe and we believe it really exists Or maybe he doesn't have him. But it can make us feel like we are part of it. How do you know what that era was like? Just a book with only drawings and letters. But he can make it out. If so, we want to try to carry out our intentions. Then mix it Or try to work with people at the global level who have cutting-edge equipment or thinking methods. I think it would be fun. At least I just want to do it. I'm very happy.
GQ: Do you think it's effort or ambition? What's more important?
We have to come together. If you're ambitious, then you don't try. It would be like asking for a blessing from a monk and then not getting the job done.
GQ: Nowadays, if you choose to do a piece of work, What do you think is basic?
I will consider that tomorrow we may not be on this planet anymore. Suppose we are not alive. Then we turned around and looked. What are we proud of? What have we done for anyone? As of today, this is one thing that we are very proud of. So it's a fan club. They are not just supporting us. But they intend to come and support us. Stay tuned for our work. Every time we have to do our best. We send happiness We send them our full love because it is give and take.
Therefore, we must intend to give. So what do we have? We may not have anything to offer. But we have eyes that can comfort you. We have words that can help heal your heart. We have positive energy to give her. We can exchange it. She definitely didn't come to waste. I feel that this is one thing that we are very proud of that we have done for the people who love us.
GQ: Do you think that the entertainment industry, if not including money, how has it changed you?
A lot has changed. Like just now, I thought that all the time I was working (Fashion shoot with GQ Thailand ) Seriously, money is the last item. Because I will choose the choice that if we are not here, have you done anything for anyone yet? OK, money has to be spent. But what has changed is that I want to create pride in what we have done for others.
GQ: How do you see the future of your acting career?
I still have dreams of working at the global level. Like many actors, for a person to become famous, he must be dedicated. This is what I like about New York: it's a melting pot and everything moves so fast. If you can't do it, you leave and let someone who is more skilled come in and do it. Because there are hundreds of people who can do better than you. But what should you do to be able to survive? Everyone is equally talented. Everyone might be better at it. I think this is the coolness. I want to study what he thinks, what he sees, how he lives his life. What are your plans in life? Because right now we don't just want money.
GQ: You have a goal and you have to reach it.
I believe there is no one on earth who says we have to be like this, have to do this, but I believe, I believe, I believe.
GQ: One day we will see what you want to do and be successful.
Thank you. At least I have to do what I want to do (smiles).

nuengdiao, loneliness, and fear of the dark
the first time we meet nuengdiao, it's the night of his 18th birthday. he is alone. he is lonely. he looks out at the city below, shrouded in darkness, and contemplates whether or not he is ready to take on the responsibilities being the heir of the kiattrakulmethee family entails. throughout the series, the darkness of night comes to symbolize particular fears of nuengdiao's - loneliness, self-doubt, and uncertainty. palm, in line with the myth about male lovers being offspring of the sun, brings light to nuengdiao's dark world. and with palm by his side, the darkness no longer seems so scary.
in episode 2, nueng asks palm if swimming in the sea at night is scary. after all, he says, "it's dark. you don't know what will attack you." palm, however, does not find darkness scary. he says that "if we are alert and ready to fight, there's nothing to be scared of." just as palm is not afraid of plunging into the water at night, he is not afraid of diving into nueng's dark, dangerous world in order to protect him.
episode 6 introduces an extension of nueng's fear of the dark - his difficulty falling asleep. given his many traumatic experiences, he's probably afraid of nightmares - what awaits him when he shuts his eyes and the darkness of sleep swallows him. on the bus ride from bangkok, nueng initially rejects palm's offer to lean his head on his shoulder but ultimately curls into him for comfort after tossing and turning for a while.
on their first night on the island, nueng confesses that he usually can't sleep unless he listens to classical music - something he can't do now that they're without their phones. palm promises to find a way to help nueng sleep, thinking he'll help him find music to listen to. (notice that the light comes from the lamp on palm's side of the bed - i.e., he is the light bringer).
but ultimately, all nueng needs to sleep is palm's reassuring touch on his shoulder. he needs palm to bridge the distance between them (see: their very awkward positions in the screenshot above from episode 6), and give nueng the warmth and solidity of his presence.
when palm and nueng get together at the end of episode 7, the light comes from the lamp on nueng's side of the bed - palm has transferred his light and warmth to nueng.
the sun bracelet palm gives to nueng is an explicit callback to the myth nueng read in episode 8 about male-male soulmates being offspring of the sun. it also literalizes the idea of palm bringing light, warmth, and safety to nueng. warm, golden tones bathe the entire scene, emphasizing the idea that once they found each other, nueng and palm became "the complete sun". (notice that the light is still on nueng's side - it (and palm) is his to cherish, but also his to give up).
when nueng leaves palm at the end of episode 9, palm is thrown into shadow. he has given his light to nueng, and now nueng is gone.
meanwhile, nueng is back to staring out the window, into the dark and menacing night (like in episode 1). back to being alone. back to being lonely. palm isn't there to offer his shoulder for nueng to rest his head against this time. there's only the cold, hard glass of the window.
he won't be able to sleep at all until palm comes after him.
when palm finds nueng, his face is dark and in shadow. but once he reunites and reconciles with nueng, he's found his light again.
and with palm back in his arms, nueng will be able to sleep again. notice the lamp on the bedside table - it's palm's apartment, but the light is still on nueng's side of the bed. palm is the source of the light, but it always shines on nueng.
they're back to sunshine and smiles. because nueng's wearing his sun bracelet again, and palm will never leave him. right?
until he does, and nueng is plunged back into darkness. for the third time in the series, he's looking out the window at night. alone. lonely. and most importantly, scared. because there is no comfort in the dark, no answers to where palm is, and no shelter from his demanding future.
palm is back in the dark too. nueng still has the sun bracelet, and thus, his light.
palm gets his light back once nueng comes to find him. (note that the lamp is back on his side of the bed). once nueng is back in his arms, just like nueng found light again once palm found him in episode 10.
the series ends with nueng inviting palm to swim in the sea at night - the very thing he thought would be scary at the beginning of the series. but now, he has palm. they have each other. nueng was never afraid of the dark, not really. he was afraid of being alone, and the uncertainty of his future. walking into the waves hand-in-hand with palm, nueng isn't scared, and he's no longer uncertain about his future. he knows himself, what he's capable of. and he knows no matter what, he has palm. the darkness is no longer scary to nueng, because his light will always by his side.
#never let me go#never let me go the series#never let me go meta#nlmg#palmnueng#nuengpalm#userjamiec#userspring#yet another meta post that's been in the back of my head for months#hope you like it :)

“ Je reviendrai bientôt en France. Prends soin de toi, d'accord ? ”
- Forbin didn't say but it's happening in my mind now.
Chevalier de Beauregard (Blue eyes) was 17th-century French officer went to Siam in 1685, with the embassy of Chevalier de Chaumont. He was transferred to the garrison of Bangkok, under the command of Chevalier de Forbin.
I'd like to go study French before the university starts. So I might not draw anything for a while. Srry༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

The teacher was very nervous to enter the class but the transfer student remains calm.
"W-we have a new student here." The teacher said but no student was paying attention to him. The transfer student entered the room and looked around calmly. "Sawadee ka. My name is Namo." The student said and the rest of the class stopped and looked at her as if they are all going to attack her. However, this does not affect Namo and sat on one of the vacant chairs in the room.
A group of students walked towards her. One of them kicked on the table in front of her but Namo didn't even flinched. She sighed as she stood up and picked up the table. She sat on her chair as if nothing happened. One of the them got fed up since they got nothing from her, picked up the book that she just got out of her bag and teared its pages and stomped over it before leaving her.
"What a useless bitch." She said and the they walked away from her. Namo picked up her book and put it back inside her bag. She was about to get up when a girl suddenly stormed the room. "I heard the strongest Yankee in Bangkok just got transferred here." She said then she looked at Namo who is about to walked pass her as if she heard nothing. "You! I am challenging you into a duel!" The girl said but Namo just ignored her until the girl held her onto her shoulder but Namo was quick to pick her hand and twist it until she was writhing in pain. She then let go and continued her way out of their class room.
Jim is still feeling uneasy about the transferee student. She looked back to Sam who is now back to sleeping on the sofa. Jim sighed and was about to go out when she heard Sam speak. "Don't do anything stupid. She won't be able to get to the Top anyways."

The Clue Of The Stone Seat by Andrew G Paul (2024)
Chapter 15: The Stone Seat’s Secret Revealed!
“…and so you see, Mr Rogers,” Kannika explained, “the Stone Seat of Mahakala was never the hiding place of the treasure. That was the Temple of Nargarjuna, twenty miles from here. If you knew your Siamese history, you would know King Sanphet I transferred the jewels there in 1568, shortly before his death. You have been digging in the wrong place!”
Rogers glared the Chailai Academy sixth former, inwardly fuming at the girl detective’s precocious arrogance. “Don’t patronise me, young lady.” he said sourly. “The Pakrett Scrolls clearly identify the Seat of Mahakala as the hiding place. Sanphet was bluffing!” Kannika shook her head solemnly. “The university have already been to the Temple and retrieved the artefacts.” she told the exasperated man. “Your attempt to steal this vital part of my country’s heritage is over! The Antiques Division of the Bangkok police department wish to speak to you - especially after seeing the evidence of your wrong doing I sent them this morning.” The schoolgirl sleuth stood up then. “I suggest you confess your crimes to me, sir. It will go easier for you if you do.” The crooked archaeologist stared at the young woman, resentment blazing from his eyes. “Curse you, you interfering little wench!” he blurted out bitterly.
***
A broken man, Rogers confessed everything to Kannika, implicating not only himself but also the crooked dealers and researchers who had aided his theft attempt. After he had finished, the girl tied Rogers’ wrists together securely behind him with the length of rope she had brought for that very purpose, and then sat him down on the Stone of Mahakala. As the sound of wailing sirens drew closer, the Chailai Academy Detective folded her arms and looked down on her unhappy bound captive, who remained in miserable silence, staring at the ground. “This is as close as you will ever get to Sanphet’s treasure, Mr Rogers.” she told the captured man, a note of proud satisfaction in her voice.

I wrote a book!
Spire Bound is my first published novella and is a romance/erotica hiding inside a hard sci-fi shell. You'll get to know Erica (she/her) and Lou (they/them) as they spend time together after a long time apart. Oh, and they happen to do that in a massive space station orbiting Earth. If you asked Erica for a summary, she would say, "lesbians in SPAAAAAACE-ACE-ace!"
Read on for a preview of the first chapter, or go to Amazon to get your copy!
Amazon link: https://a.co/d/aQRCJA5
2045-08-11 15:50
138 hours to departure
Erica floated near a wall, staring at her phone. She watched as the shuttle map updated, a blip coming closer and closer to the port. She fidgeted excitedly – tossing the phone between her hands every few seconds – as she imagined the fun they'd have over the next few days. Then she heard the characteristic click-hiss of the docking procedure and grinned so hard her face hurt.
A few moments later, the airlock door swung open and attendants began helping passengers out into the hub and onto the waiting train. She saw a flash of short blonde hair and kicked off the wall as she locked eyes with Lou, flying toward them and exclaiming, "you're here!"
She grabbed a handhold on the wall to suppress her motion and yanked Lou off to the side, pulling them in for a deep kiss. "God, I missed you."
Lou wrapped their arms around her and squeezed her so tight she was momentarily worried she might bruise. "I missed you too, baby! I thought you were going to meet me in the Donut?"
"I wanted to surprise you!" She kissed them again and then grabbed them tight and kicked off, aiming toward the train. "C'mon, another one won't be here for a few minutes."
The interior of the train was softly lit and each row of eight seats was arranged around a central aisle. Erica watched with amusement as most of the new arrivals chose seats on the 'floor' – ignoring that it was just a matter of perspective. As they got their lap belts fastened, she asked, "how was the trip? Why'd you end up so late?"
"The flight was fine -- short and uneventful -- but everything leading up to that was annoying as hell. The passenger trains from the Buenos Aires ring to the New York ring were down for almost a day; apparently a tether snapped and had to be completely replaced. So I had to transfer through the Bangkok ring and missed my shuttle," Lou grumbled.
Her eyes grew wide. "Wait, the entire tether snapped?!"
They laughed a bit at that. "Oh, fuck no. That would've taken a lot more than a day to fix. Just one of the redundant lines, but you know how strict they are. Either way, I'm just glad I'm finally here."
"Me too," she said quietly as she laid her head against Lou's shoulder. "It's nice being able to touch you again."
"Perv," they teased, turning to kiss the top of Erica's head. "I know it's only been a few months, but it feels like years. How's life been?"
"Pfft, takes one to know one. Honestly, it's been really good; watching this place grow and change has been amazing. And I was able to set up a few fun surprises while you're in town!" She reached over and held their hand, sighing softly as their fingers interlocked for the millionth time.
Lou perked up at that. "Oh? Like what? Can I get a hint?"
"Nope. If I give you a hint, we both know you'll figure them out. I know you're terrible at it, but be patient."
"Next stop: Euclid station, your hub for shopping, entertainment, and hospitality."
"That's the Donut, right? Isn't that where your apartment is?" Lou reached down to undo their lap belt to get up, but Erica pulled their hand away.
"Yes, but that's not where we're getting off," she replied with a smirk.
"I guess the surprises are starting early," they said inquisitively.
She kissed them on the cheek. "Damn right. I have my baby for less than a week and I'm gonna take advantage of every second."
----------
"Next stop: Spire Prime, luxury hospitality."
Erica detached her lap belt and gestured for Lou to follow suit. "This one's us!" They raised an eyebrow but didn't speak. "When we stop, just follow me."
As the train came to its stop, she pushed herself up and they both proceeded to the exit. As they left the train, they were greeted by a pair of attendants. One of them spoke kindly, "welcome back, Ms. Rae! And you must be Mx. Cruz, lovely to meet you and welcome to Spire Prime. Your luggage should be here shortly; we'll see that it gets to you as soon as possible. Would you care for assistance to your suite?"
They both smiled wide at the personal greeting. "No thanks, Tom, I'll lead the newbie," Erica said with a wink.
"Understood! Let us know if you need anything, and we'll see you shortly with your luggage."
She locked arms with Lou and kicked off the doorway, leading them towards the panoramic glass exterior wall of the module. They could see the whole Earth below them, fully illuminated, though at this distance it was impossible to make out details.
She grabbed handholds along the wall and propelled them around the module until they reached their room. She waved her wrist in front of the lock on the wall and the door opened, beckoning them in. She grabbed hold of them and the door and flew inward, past a bathroom and into the living room.
Lou had seen pictures of this place as it was being built, but they absolutely did not do it justice. They looked around the room, taking in the sights. "Wow... This is absolutely amazing. You didn't have to do all this, you know." They drifted toward the glass dome window at the end of the room, while Erica attached her purse to the wall near the couch.
She scoffed. "It's your first time on the Spire! We have less than 6 days; do you think we were just going to go hit dive bars?"
Lou twisted around to look at her. "... Are there dive bars here?"
"I mean, yeah. But they're faux-dive still. Gonna take a few years to really get them dirty; we'll work on that later. But for now, I just want you to enjoy yourself." She pushed off the wall and flew over to them, grabbing a handhold and pinning them to the window, kissing them hard. "And I want to enjoy you."
Lou's arms wrapped around her body and pulled her in tight. "I love you so goddamn much," they whispered as they bit her neck gently. Goosebumps appeared all over Erica's body and she moaned softly.
She let go of the handhold and the two entwined, kissing passionately yet slowly. They drifted in space together, exploring each other's bodies as they had so many times before.
Lou grabbed the bottom of Erica's shirt and lifted it, their eyes transfixed by the earthlight cast on her skin. They pulled it off and dropped it to the floor, then broke out into laughter.
Erica turned and saw the shirt spinning aimlessly in midair and started laughing too. "Forgot there's no gravity, didn't you?"
"It's still so surreal..."
"You get used to it. Next time, throw," she remarked with a chuckle, then pulled them back in and kissed them hard as she unbuttoned their shirt. She removed it with ease, as she had done many times before, and tossed it over her shoulder.
They each pulled off their pants, throwing them out of the way. Lou kissed their way down from her lips to her neck to her chest, finally sighing, "god, I missed this."
She put her hands on either side of their face and pulled them up to look at them. "Me too, love. But we're together now, and that's what matters." Her hands traced down their side and then across their panties. "And I haven't fucked you in far too long."
She deftly maneuvered her hand into their panties and they spread their legs. Her hand moved forward and then she slid a finger into them. Lou moaned and leaned forward to kiss her hard, clinging tight to her, lest they be separated by physics. She slid a second finger in and started to fuck them with abandon, feeling them moan into her mouth.
Suddenly, they heard a knock at the door. "Oh, fuck. The bags." She gave them a quick kiss and then shouted, "one moment!"

Hitman WoA Lore - How many Elusive Targets ARE there?
With the recent announcement of a brand new Celebrity ET coming to Hitman in spring, I was thinking about which number of Elusive Target this is. It used to be simple, the initial 26 in Hitman 2016 were all unique missions which didnt repeat gameplay from eachother other than using the same pool of six maps. Then Hitman 2 throw a big wrench into all that with its reactivations and reworkings, where I remember there being minor controversy over how to number each ET. Some people would number the new Hitman 2 ETs 1-7, and all the reactivations their own numbering, but then there was the question of counting Undying Returns as separate from Undying and then is Deceivers part of the reactivation numbering or the main ET numbering
It seems that people now with the WoA era dont really number anything anymore, people gave up counting anything unless theyre just counting how many ETs were made for the map pools individually, and if they do they count EVERYTHING as one big number even down to the “Year 2”, “Year 3”, etc. reactivations. Which gets crazy when you see numbers claiming there’s 61 ETs in H3/WoA. Thats crazy and highly inaccurate so i’m going to count every ET and give a canonical number for this new one dependent on each and every methodology you will want to count it with. I will do this in a form of a set of questions you may have:
1. How many ET missions have IO made?
This is the simplest metric. If IO just rerelease an old ET they made it doesnt count as a unique mission but if they some sort of modification to it like a new briefing or cosmetic change or smushing two ETs together not only will I count the original but I will also count the modification as well
So with Hitman 1’s missions we have the initial 26 consisting of 9 in Paris, 6 in Sapienza, 4 in Marrakesh, 3 in Bangkok and 2 in Colorado and another 2 in Hokkaido. Then we add on the Deceivers from H2, where they combine the Congressman and Guru from Sapienza into one mission with a new briefing and new backstories for both characters, to give us 27 on the H1 maps and 7 in Sapienza
With H2’s missions we have to tackle the Undying: technically, and I mean technically, there’s three versions of the Undying: The Undying, The Undying Returns and The Undying Returns (2024). However the 2024 reissue doesnt modify the briefing and its only difference from the Undying and Returns versions is a different thumbnail and a new unlock which could have just happened with either version of the mission anyway. It uses the Undying Returns briefing and Mark Faba’s look from Undying Returns so it’s just a reactivation of Undying Returns. However Undying Returns will count as a different mission in this numbering because it has a new briefing and in the mission itself Mark Faba has an eyepatch from the events of The Undying. No gameplay differences, unlike The Deceivers which is more difficult because you have to kill two targets in one go, but IO would consider this new work so it will count as two missions:
Which gives us 1 mission in Hawkes Bay, 2 in Miami, 1 in Colombia, 1 in Whittleton and 2 in Sgail totaling 7 ETs in H2 and 34 so far
H3 gives us 1 in Dubai, 2 in Dartmoor, 2 in Berlin, 1 in Chongqing and 2 in Mendoza with 8 ETs in its maps. Giving us 42 ETs so far
So by this metric the next ET will be the 43rd Elusive Target mission IO have made
2. How many gameplay-unique missions are there?
But this is a super boring number to conclude from this because no one in their right mind would count The Undying Returns as a unique experience from The Undying, barring the obvious fact of Hitman’s gameplay that you could choose to play one version differently from the other but anything you do in one is transferable to the other as nothing about Faba’s routine and dialogue, the cosmetics of the map or the placement and routes of NPCs is any different. So now we have to count how many missions have IO really made
So we start again with our initial 26 but we leave out the Deceivers. The Guru and Congressman are counted separately because they were made separately. The total of H1 remains 26
Then we take H2 and subtract the Undying returns, giving H2 6 ETs and in total we now have 32 so far
H3 remains at 8 so now we have 40 ETs that IO have given us across all three games from 2016 onwards
So this newest ET will be the 41st unique Elusive Target mission made from scratch by IO. I think this is probably the most official, crowd-pleasing number we could conclude with, but I want to get wackier so join me in the next few questions as we get super nerdy on the numbering
3. How many unique, playable ET missions are in Hitman: World of Assassination?
This is probably the purest number we can distill it down to, because it’s a question of if you were to boot up WoA and every ET was somehow activated all at once how many unique missions would you be able to play? This is probably the most useful number for casual fans wanting to play everything
So we take our initial 26 and cut it down to 24. The reason why we do this not only are we now counting the Guru and Congressman as one mission, because with the Deceivers you can only ever play them together in the WoA launcher, but also the Gary Busey ET was never made available in H2 or H3/WoA. So counting them as separate would be ridiculous because that’s not the format theyre ever experienced in anymore and theres no inside-the-game evidence they ever were apart other than inference from them never interacting which requires a knowledge of their route. So this gives us 9 Paris ETs, 4 Sapienza ETs, 4 Marrakesh ETs, 3 Bangkok ETs, 2 Colorado ETs and 2 Hokkaido ETs for a total of 24. Fun fact I initially forgot to count the Blackmailer in Paris and only realized it when my math in this segment was out of wack. So I initially underestimated how many ETs were in Paris, not only is it double what Sapienza currently has but it’s a little bit over that
Then adding 6 to that 24 we get 30 and the ever unchanging H3 number brings up to 38 in total
So in conclusion the next ET will be the 39th unique playable mission you can tackle in vanilla WoA, on a good day
4. How many canonical ET missions are there?
Now this is the big question because while we can debate how ETs can be canon, it’s no doubt that with their lore bleeding into the main game and vice versa with Mark Faba namedropping future Berlin targets only to get namedropped himself by Vidal as a previous target of Diana and 47, as well as the ICA Data Core showing a whole slew of ETs on 47’s file whether we like it or not ETs are canon. But then that begs the question of how many of these ETs are part of this canon?
Well first we take our initial 26 and cut it down to 25, as the canon version of the Congressman and Guru is the Deceivers. However what we then do is add it back up to 26 because now we have to talk about The Brothers. The Brothers was a cut ET mission where you were to kill two of the brothers of prior Sapienza target Silvio Caruso, in Marrakesh. This was never released except for content leaks that were later made as mods but their names were included in the ICA file on 47 in the Chongqing mission so in the lore 47 canonically killed Caruso’s brothers sometime during all this mess
Then we have to include The Undying Returns as a canonical separate contract from the original, whether he killed Faba or not, because the unique briefing means he was given this contract which he fulfilled and then had to be given a new contract to kill him again. With this it brings us back up to 7 for H2 and 33 so far
Then with the immovable 8 in H3 we bring ourselves up to 41 in total so far in terms of canonical, separate contracts 47 has taken on, elusively that is
Which makes this next ET the 42nd canonical elusive target contract 47 has taken on
5. So how many people has he killed?* (*In the ET format)
This one’s the most interesting question because this isnt a question of how many contracts 47 was given or how many missions you can play, but instead a pure kill count. Because some ETs arent merely one and done, theres a few multi target missions. So just for fun lets count out how many guys you kill in these ETs
In H1: Paris has all 1-target missions, so we count that as 9 again. Whether we count the Deceivers or not doesnt matter, we’re just counting how many people die in Sapienza and that’s 6. Marrakesh has 4, but counting the brothers let’s bump it up to 6. Bangkok gives us our first two target mission: The Ex-Dictator and his wife, which gives us 4 kills in Thailand. Colorado has 2 again but The Surgeons in Hokkaido brings its kill count up to 3. So all in all we have 30 kills on the H1 maps
Then with H2 we have no two target missions but remember Undying counts a second time, whether Faba died and came back or a body double died in his place this is a confirmed kill. Giving us 7 total kills in H2 and 37 so far
H3 gives us another two target mission, this time in Dartmoor. So 1 kill in Dubai, 3 in Dartmoor, 2 in Berlin, 1 in Chongqing and 2 in Mendoza for 9 for H3 and 46 total people killed in the Elusive Target missions
So, assuming this next mission will also be one target as usual, the next ET will be the magic number itself: the 47th person our Agent 47 has killed in an Elusive Target mission. That’s a whole lot of killing
6. But what about [BLANK]?
Now we could go about this all day if we broaden the standards of what an Elusive Target is. It’s well known that IO reuse and rework unreleased Elusive Target missions into other formats. For example the Patient Zero campaign and the initial two Special Assignments in Mumbai and Colombia were made from ETs they had lying around. There’s also more unreleased ETs with no canonical ties one way or another, but there’s also some other cut content that seems like cut ETs but in reality they mightve just been beta tests
But I think this list is the one that answers all the questions of the ET numbering that actually matter. The rest is too niche even for me
