I’ve Used An All-Natural Vitamin C Serum And This Is What Happened

My skincare motto? Less is more.

I can’t be bothered to layer 10+ products on my skin to try and fit every IT ingredient in – especially when a lot of these IT ingredients don’t even work!

Naya Everyday Glow Serum uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP), a derivative of L-Ascorbic Acid (LAA), the pure form of Vitamin C.

Good news: SAP does convert into LAA in the skin, so you’re getting all its benefits. The catch? It probably works a little less well. So why would you use SAP instead than LAA?

Cacay Oil To Moisturize Skin

Cacay oil is the new darling of the natural skincare world. For a reason.

Cold-pressed from the nuts of the Amazonian cacay tree, this non-greasy and fast-absorbing oil is loaded with moisturizing fatty acids and antioxidants.

For starters, cacay oil contains more than 70% linoleic acid, a multi-tasking fatty acid that moisturises skin, soothes redness and irritation and helps treat acne.

Plus, it’s also a source of Vitamins A and E, two powerful antioxidants that can neutralise free radicals before they give you wrinkles.

Let’s Put It To The Test: Personal Use & Opinion

You can tell Naya Everyday Glow Serum is plant-based. It’s green (it takes its colour from chlorophyll). How cool is that?

Although it’s loaded with oils and butters, the texture is very lightweight, spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue behind.

I use it in the morning right before sunscreen. Vitamin C can help boost its sun protection and I want to take full advantage of that.

The serum adds some extra moisture to my skin, leaving it softer, hydrated and silky smooth. But it didn’t give me too much of a glow. I guess that’s cos I’m used to 20% LAA serums and this is gentler than that.

I don’t think that’s necessarily a downside. Not everyone can tolerate LAA. Or wants to splurge on a serum that will go bad in a few weeks. Or likes to use serums that aren’t all natural.

Naya Everyday Glow Serum is more suitable for people with sensitive/acne-prone skin that are looking for a natural alternative to traditional Vitamin C serums. As the serum helps treat acne (which I don’t have), they will see better results. But every skin type can use it.

Mon avis: Ce produit s’utilise aussi en nettoyant et exfoliant. Pour cela, il suffit de l’appliquer sur visage humide en effectuant des mouvements circulaires, puis de rincer. Je l’utilise sur tout, quant à moi, en masque. Je met une fine couche sur le visage humidifié et je laisse poser 5 min (en évitant le contour des yeux). Je trouve mon visage clean juste après, et les pores sont resserrés. C’est très agréable, surtout avec cette chaleur où mon visage a tendance à briller. 99% des ingrédients sont d’origine naturelle et il obtient l’excellente note de 17/20 sur INCI Beauty.

This product smells good, feels good on the skin and does a great job of exfoliating.  However, side note, do not let this product get around your eyes and be sure to wipe off with a washcloth.  If a piece of this gets in your eye it hurts so bad!  I’ve used man exfoliating washes but this one has got in my eye multiple times so I know I must get out a washcloth if I’m going to use it.

Sarà per la sensazione di setosità che lascia, o forse perché non fa tirare o seccare la pelle, sarà anche perché i suoi microgranuli di bamboo sono il giusto compromesso per chi cerca un’esfoliazione quotidiana che non irriti le pelli sensibili ed al contempo non sia troppo blanda per essere chiamata esfoliazione, ma sta di fatto che si è fatta largo nella top ten dei miei cosmetici preferiti e lì rimane. Mi piace applicarla a pelle asciutta la sera, dopo aver rimosso il make-up, massaggiarla delicatamente con movimenti circolari e man mano aggiungere acqua per emulsionarla, sempre continuando a massaggiare prima di risciacquare tutto con acqua. A volte la utilizzo su pelle bagnata, ma in questo caso ho l’impressione non aderisca perfettamente alla pelle e che scivoli via con troppa facilità. Trovo funzioni meglio su di me su pelle appena inumidita o, meglio ancora, asciutta, perché la sua particolare consistenza cremosa fa sì che non graffi comunque. Rimuove bene anche il trucco, anche se per tale scopo, specialmente in inverno, preferisco utilizzare prodotti più consistenti. Più che un siero è una cremina leggera e ottimamente spalmabile, dalla piacevolissima profumazione fresca e fruttata, simile a quella della crema detergente, che in questo periodo già da sola potrebbe avere  un ottimo effetto idratante su pelli normali e miste. Di questo siero ho apprezzato in particolare la capacità lenitiva dei rossori, l’effetto distensivo e leggermente tensore, e la sua capacità di relazionarsi bene con ogni altro step aggiuntivo della mia skincare, dalla successiva crema giorno (ottimo con la crema alla bava di lumaca), al fondotinta per cui si è rivelato essere un’ottima base. Il packaging in vetro resistente con erogatore a pompa è ecologico e tra i miei preferiti ,con l’unico svantaggio di non rendere agevole  il prelevare le ultime gocce di prodotto in fase di ultimazione. Je teste Phyt’s: le Make Up Bio

Hé, j’espère que tu vas bien! Aujourd’hui, on parle de Phyt’s , la marque de maquillage certifiée bio, d’origine naturelle, et Made in France.

Phyt’s veut un maquillage bon pour la santé et pour l’environnement avec des packagings recyclables ou biodégradables pour certains. Il s’agit donc d’un Make Up fabriqué SANS conservateurs, ni parfums de synthèse, ni colorants chimiques.

Les petits + de cette gamme : les ingrédients qui composent les produits sont naturels. Mais, ils sont surtout actifs et agissent comme des soins au quotidien.

Les fonds de teint sont notamment formulés à base d’Aloe Vera, reconnu pour ses propriétés hydratantes. Les rouges à lèvres sont quant à eux composés d’Huile de Jojoba ou encore de Beurre de Karité, qui donnent de l’onctuosité et du glissant mais qui sont également nourrissants pour les lèvres.

À la place des conservateurs de synthèse, dans de nombreux produits, on retrouve de la vitamine E végétale connue pour ses propriétés antioxydantes et anti-âge.

J’ai ainsi testé deux produits : le Correcteur anti-cernes et le fard à paupière Touches de Lumière.

Correcteur anti-cernes

Mon avis : Rien à dire sur la composition (hormis pour les personnes allergiques, attention aux habituels allergènes naturels d’origine végétale). Je suis donc hyper contente de le composition. Concernant, l’utilisation du produit, il faut tapoter sur les cernes une petite quantité de avant d’appliquer le fond de teint. Le résultat est plutôt réussi. Il s’applique très facilement, sans filer dans les ridules. Sa teinte légèrement irisée permet de réveiller l’oeil.

  Touches de Lumière – Brun Vénusien

Composition: Ingrédients : Zea mays (Corn) starch*, mica, magnesium myristate, silica, CI 77491, CI 77891, CI 77007, CI 77510, CI 77499. *ingrédient d’origine Biologique 100% des ingrédients sont d’origine naturelle 25% sont issus de l’Agriculture Biologique

  Mon avis : Concernant le composition, encore une fois, rien à redire. C’est une grande satisfaction! Le fard à paupière s’applique très facilement. La couleur est intense et très nacrée. J’adore ce brun irisé, ça illumine tout de suite le regard.

  En conclusion, je dirai que j’ai vraiment apprécié ces deux produits. Si tu cherches des couleurs irisées et lumineuses ainsi que des produits à al composition clean, c’est pour toi!
