— danielle “dani” shipman came into the world on june 2nd, 1980, in a quiet hospital room just outside of wiskayok, new jersey. she was born in the early morning, the sky outside shifting from deep blue to the soft pinks and oranges of dawn. shauna, just a toddler at the time, was too young to fully understand what was happening, but she clung to their father’s leg, peeking curiously at the tiny, wrinkled thing wrapped in a pastel pink blanket.

— her style is feminine but modest—cardigans, turtlenecks, flowy skirts, tights, paired with mary janes or loafers. she sometimes wears her mom’s old sweaters or clothes, and even steals stuff from shauna's closet frequently. her favorite makeup looks consist of a bright red or soft pink lip and neutral colored eye makeup with a winged eyeliner.

— danielle always had a romantic view of life. most nights, she would lie in bed with her lamp on, flipping through pages of a novel, imagining a life bigger than the one she had. a life where she wasn’t just someone’s little sister.

— unlike shauna she's not althetic at all, she tried to pick up soccer as a kid when shauna started but failed miserably. but she did do a few years of dance and ballet instead so she was involved with something, and shauna always had to drag her along to her games and practices.

- growing up in the shipman household meant structure, expectations, and the constant weight of appearances. their mother kept a tight grip on everything—on their schedules, their grades, the way they presented themselves to the world. after their father left, that control only tightened.

— danielle, younger and less rebellious than shauna, was easier to manage. she did what was expected of her—polite, well-behaved, soft-spoken. she was a good student, not because she was particularly ambitious but because getting lost in books was easier than dealing with reality. she liked escaping into stories, getting caught up in other people’s lives, ones that weren’t hers.

— danielle admired jackie in the way one might admire a movie star—she was effortlessly charming, always knowing the right thing to say. but she also felt out of place around her. whenever shauna and jackie were together, she felt like a spectator in their world, not quite part of it. she admired jackie the way someone admires a painting in a museum—beautiful, untouchable, and completely out of reach.

— danielle had always thought she was just waiting to grow into dating, like the other girls, but no matter how much time passed, she never felt the same pull toward boys her age. it wasn’t that she didn’t want romance—it just never felt right. that is, until she started noticing natalie. at parties with shauna, on the soccer field, at school—natalie was different. there was something about her quiet confidence, the way she seemed to move through the world, that made danielle’s heart flutter in a way she hadn’t expected.

— danielle never told anyone about it. she wasn’t even sure when it started—maybe the first time she saw natalie leaning against the lockers, all confidence and cigarette smoke, or maybe when she caught her laughing at something stupid kevyn had said, her smile unexpectedly soft. whatever it was, danielle felt it like an ache, something small and quiet lodged in her ribs. she knew better than to entertain the thought. natalie scatorccio wasn’t the kind of person she could just... like. she was cool in a way danielle would never be, all messy blonde hair, dark eyeliner, and don’t-give-a-damn attitude. she was older, too—only by a year, but enough to make it impossible.

— still, danielle found herself watching her sometimes, stealing glances in the hallways or during lunch. she told herself it wasn’t obvious, that no one noticed, but shauna had given her a look once—one of those older-sister, i-know-you looks that made her stomach twist. she had quickly changed the subject.

— she doubted natalie even knew her name. they ran in completely different circles. danielle spent her time in the library or working at the movie theater, while natalie was out at parties, skipping class, living a life danielle could only observe from the sidelines. but once—just once—natalie had spoken to her.

— it was in the school parking lot. danielle had been fumbling with her bike lock, fingers numb from the cold, when she heard natalie’s voice. “hey, you got a hairpin or something?” danielle had looked up, stunned to find natalie standing right there, shoving a hand into the pocket of her leather jacket.

— “a hairpin?” danielle echoed, stupidly. “for my locker,” natalie said, smirking slightly. “i kinda forgot my combo.” danielle, still half in a daze, reached up and pulled a bobby pin from her braid, handing it over without a word. their fingers brushed. she hoped her face didn’t give her away. natalie grinned. “thanks, little shipman.”

— and then she was gone, walking back inside, completely unaware that she had just wrecked danielle’s entire week with three words. danielle never got the bobby pin back. she didn’t mind.

the day of the flight and the crash

— danielle sat on the bleachers as the sun's heat beat down on her face, exhausted from the sweltering temperature and length of the game she watched, but when she saw jackie win the game with a bump of her head, she flung her hands over her mouth in surprise and joy, screaming cheers for her sister. after the win, when shauna came off the field, her face flushed with excitement, she spotted danielle in the crowd and gave her a grin. “we’re going to nationals,” shauna said, breathless. “can you believe it?” danielle nodded, her lips curving into a small, proud smile. “yeah. I can.”

— like with everything, their mom made danielle tag along with shauna for the flight to seattle, so danielle woke up and began to pack early. when she went up to get shauna, she saw her quickly tuck a slip of paper behind her back, she shook it off, thinking nothing of it and asked her to hurry up so they weren't late.

— danielle couldn't sit with shauna, she was already sitting with jackie if course, so she sat in a seat across the row from nat, by herself, they made small talk as nat tried to reassure her the trip would be fun. she ended up falling asleep as she listened to the plane take off.

— she awoke to the plane shaking, sickening sounds of metal tearing as screams filled the cabin. danielle’s breath caught in her throat as the plane descended, faster than anything she had ever imagined. she could see the panic on the faces of those around her, the terror reflected in their wide eyes. she clutched the armrest with both hands, her fingers aching, as the world outside the window spun out of control. she watched helplessly as the plane split in two as people walked the aisles.

— the crash was sudden and brutal. there was no warning, just the sickening sound of metal crunching, the sharp impact of the plane hitting the ground. danielle’s body was thrown forward, her head slamming against the seat in front of her as the world turned to chaos. the last thing she remembered was the searing pain in her chest before everything went black.

— danielle woke to shauna desperately shaking her awake, relief in her eyes as she realized she was alive, she and jackie tore danielle out of the seat in a rush. she looked around her to see flames eating up the plane, dead bodies littered around, and felt the pain in her chest worse and worse. she had blood tripping down her head, and her chest had major bruising from the force of the seat in front of her when she was thrown forward. but when she looked around outside, she realized her injuries were nothing compared to what she was seeing.

in the wilderness

— in the wilderness, danielle's role is one of a quiet observer and reluctant participant, at least in the beginning. she isn’t as assertive or strong-willed as some of the others, like shauna or natalie, and she doesn’t have the survival skills of the more experienced girls, which makes her feel even more disconnected. her shy, introverted nature keeps her on the sidelines, blending into the background as she processes everything unfolding around her.

— her love for literature and films, her way of escaping, becomes a way of coping in the wilderness. she clings to memories of stories and characters that once gave her comfort, but as the days stretch on, she becomes more aware of the brutal reality of their situation. despite this, she still holds onto a sense of gentleness, often feeling like the group's moral compass even though she doesn’t have the strength to always speak out.

— her relationship with shauna shifts as the days pass. she can sense her sister is keeping something from her, and she notices the tension around jackie and her. she tries hard to stay out of it, not wanting to make anything worse, but when it's revealed shauna is pregnant, danielle, worried for her safety, clings to her sister more than ever before.

— after jackie’s death, everything seemed to shift in the wilderness. shauna, who had always been a strong presence in danielle’s life, became something unrecognizable. the girl who had been her protector, her older sister who kept her grounded, now carried herself differently—hardened, distant, even cold at times. shauna, in the wake of the brutal reality of the hunt and jackie's death, started making decisions that danielle couldn’t understand. there was a shift in her eyes, a coldness that replaced the warmth that once guided danielle. she made the hard choices, the ones that were necessary for survival, but at the cost of her humanity.

— in the end danielle does not survive the wilderness, she does not live to see her dreams of becoming a film director come true, or see her sister start a family. whether it's a tragic end where she dies in her sister's arms after a fight gone wrong, like jackie — or a terrible accident, even a hunt that ends up with her as the meal for the girls (maybe she is pit girl?). shauna loses the last person she has in the wilderness, now she is without her best friend, her baby, and her sister.

— she definitely haunts the narrative, specifically nat and shauna, most likely she is still alive in s3, and dies in the second winter. her motif is a deer.

I am always fascinated by stories that are authentic and the way that story is written makes you feel seen even if your experiences are not exactly the same as the characters. 💞 (can't wait to read the next part)

Maisy and Harry are just friends (except they aren't) by @narryffdreaming again because I just love her work! Friends to lovers trope (i loooove this trope sm) and it has everything: angst, fluff, romance, softness, smut, everything! Everything just flows so nicely!

When Y/N dates someone, they find their soulmate…it’s never her by @jawllines is super cute and lovely and made me giggle and blushing! It's such an unique concept and I just loved it!

In the spirit of the Olympics: ASOIAF characters and their Olympic sports

Jamie Cersei obviously a tennis doubles team thanks @melrosing for ur big brained art. Tywin is their coach and has been abusing training them since they were like seven. Consistent natty champs but haven’t scored a Wimbledon title yet and have yet to get gold at the Olympics (they have one bronze one silver). Mostly because Cersei breaks her racket every time things start going wrong. Also because Jamie is so full to the brim with shame and need for daddy’s recognition that he starts breaking down almost immediately once the point gap starts to widen

Brienne is a long distance swimmer she’s the Katie Ledecky of Westeros no one can touch her do you see her wingspan??? Usually finishes 5-15 seconds before everyone else sometimes other ppl aren’t even in the frame. Has multiple gold medals at this point and has been to the Olympics twice before she even turned 20. Lesbians go crazy over her online

Arya does some type of shooting and she’s like those tiny little teenagers that show up and blow all of their grownup competition out of the water. Steady hand and crazy aim. OR she does fencing and has a super unique style that gets the internet really into it for a couple of weeks. OR judo in the lightweight class. She’s so talented 🙂‍↕️ she’s definitely medaled at her first games when she’s like 14

Sansa is very obviously a figure skater like!!!! Of course she is!!! She is obsessed with her lines and artistry and takes ballet classes in order to improve her fluidity. She’s a young star in women’s singles, mostly for how graceful and fluid she is when she moves, and for her very gentle/pretty/romantic choice of costumes, music, and choreography. But she really wants to do pair skating mostly because she wants to have a romantic story to tell at their wedding (yes Joffrey is the potential partner)

Dany plays field hockey and she is sooooo cute and fun and peppy off the field and is so charming during all the interviews and always gives the girls a great inspirational speech and is just a very good leaderly figure in general. And then the game starts and you see a 5’2 platinum blonde sprinting towards u with blood and malice in her eyes and a big stick in her hands. She wants gold and by god does she get gold. Occasionally body checks ppl but she’s just too small for rugby.

Robb is a young rugby star he’s so handsome and muscular and all of his interviews go viral everyone’s obsessed with his training videos that the team TikTok posts. Soooo good too he’s on the Olympic team at 18 and he’s just sprinting down that field and dominating the game. But he’s so oblivious to it all the love when ppl ask if he’s dating anyone he’s like why would I do that I have to bulk up and focus on my game 🤨 and then runs off to meal prep with Theon (who does not meal prep but is obsessed with him)

Jon is an ice hockey guy to me. So dark and brooding while he’s sitting on the bench and he’s all locked in when it’s time to start playing he’s just so serious ab it he lives for The Game. But every time his buddies score a goal he goes absolutely batshit crazy and just loses all composure. And when they win he starts ugly sobbing. There’s a viral photo of him after winning his first gold just standing on the podium with snot and tears running down his face while the rest of the team is like 😁😁😆😄 him and Robb train together but Jon has absolutely no media training every interview is a disaster

despite her extroverted nature, magically there is someone who has caught dani's attention — y/n l/n, someone who's personality is completely opposite of dani's, an introverted student that intrigued her.

every day, dani admired y/n from afar, finding herself captivated by y/n's calm demeanor and attractiveness.

however, despite having the ability of socializing. she could never muster the courage to approach her crush. the fear of rejection and the thought of potentially jeopardizing their friendship kept dani from expressing her feelings.

one afternoon, as dani sat with her friends in the school cafeteria, laughter and chatter filled the air. minji, ever observant, noticed dani stealing glances at y/n from across the room.

"bro" minji called out, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "you've been eyeing y/n for weeks now. seriously when are you going to make a move?"

blushing slightly, dani averted her gaze. "i don't know, minji. i'm scared of messing things up. what if y/n doesn't feel the same way?"

hanni chimed in, playfully nudging dani's arm. "oh come on, dude! you're confident and outgoing. i'm sure y/n would feel the same way as you do. just be yourself and go for it!"

dani sighed, feeling torn between her desire to confess and her fear of rejection. little did she know, fate had a funny way of intervening.

a few days later, as dani walked down the hallway, she noticed y/n engrossed in a conversation with another girl — jiyeon, the ballet dancer for their school? she think . panic surged through dani's veins as she began to suspect jiyeon's intentions. what if she was confessing her feelings to y/n?

unable to bear the thought of losing y/n to a potential rival, dani's determination skyrocketed. she couldn't let this opportunity slip away. with her heart pounding, she approached y/n and jiyeon, interrupting their conversation.

"he-hey, y/n! can i talk to you for a moment?" dani blurted out, her voice slightly shaky.

y/n looked surprised but nodded, "uh... yeah sure" ,excusing herself from jiyeon. dani's friends who was watching ( stalking ) on them exchanged knowing glances, sensing the drama.

Chief had dropped off his 10 year old daughter off at ballet class and was driving home, "what should we make for dinner Cody" chief asked his 3 year old son, when he didn't get an answer he looked back and gasped. "CODY?!". Meanwhile dani was putting her stuff up when she turned around and saw her 3 year old baby brother playing with her ballet shoes. "Cody what are you doing here?!" Dani yelled in surprised as Cody looked at her, "I wanna do ballet with you!" Cody said as he put on her shoes. Dani started to freak out as she didn't know what to do. "Does Dad know you are here?!" Dani said in panic. "Yeah I left him a note" Cody said. meanwhile chief was freaking out when he saw a little piece of paper, he picked it up and it read, "at Ballyet wih dany dani" the note said as Cody was still learning how to write. Chief turned the car around and sped back to the ballet class, after a little he got there and Dani walked outside with Cody eating one of her protein bars and tossed him into the backseat. Chief sighed and waved bye to Dani before turning to Cody. "Son why did you go with her?" Chief asked, "because she's always dancing pretty and I wanna dance pretty" Cody said. "Why don't you just wait for her to come home next time ok?" Chief said as he drove them home, "Ok" Cody said.

Ballet class | Nico Hischier x Fem reader

summary: Nico comes in early to ballet. Yes ballet, he’s getting help to learn how to take stress off his joints, and so is his fellow teammates. I- Dani help him correct his stretching exercises, and his skating.

I’m helping out in the NHL for some skating techniques. No, I have never actually been good at skating. Yes, I am a pro ballet student- I actually graduated from premie class about a year ago.

It’s been studied that hockey players, even the good players need skating lessons. I mean, doesn’t everyone? As an instructor in Pilates, and a ballet teacher, I am supposed to help the athletes gain muscular endurance in muscle groups that are rarely thought off.

“Hey, I’m Nico.” I very tall brown eyed man says as he skates, my way. I am in the middle of the rink waiting for my class to start.

It’s 11:24 AM. Class doesn’t start until til 12:30. Maybe he’s here for extra help?

I know I stayed I’m not good at skating, but I can kayak pretty well, my dad was a coach for a little league back home in Arizona.

“Oh. Nice, I’m Dani.” I respond, almost forgetting that I have to answer back. I haven’t talked to a handsome, very beautiful man in like 3 years. Damn, I must be dry.

“Oh haha. I was wondering if I could get extra help? I haven’t tried ballet before and I thought it would be pretty difficult. Especially for a 25 year old.” Nico said, and his eyes trail down to my outfit.

I’m wearing a brown bodysuit, when I mean a body suit I mean the ones that end up being a thong in the back and look like a very small one piece swimsuit. Over the brown bodysuit I have a black vest, and black leggings on. I have white leg warmers on because I am truly freezing.

“If you’re cold, I have the perfect warmup for you!” Nico says as he eyes my mouth shivering.im literally chattering and shaking as we speak.

“You’re beautiful.” Nico says as he helps me back up to the normal flooring as we exit the rink. Wiw, straight to the point.

“Uhh, well thanks, you’re a pretty handsome man yourself.” I say back. Ugh. I sound like a grandma.

Boring.

“You excited for the Nico Hischier warmup?”

“I guess so.” I say as I look up towards his beautiful eyes. They are so brown, they glisten in the light though, and they remind me of honey when they glimmer down at me. It’s like they are full of love.

I’m hooked.

Nico ends with warming me up with some runs, abdomen teaser, and a water break. Now I’m out of breath it’s time for stretching. I told him to show me how he normally stretches before a game. It’s was truly horrendous. He was showing me things that would tear tendons if he wasn’t so flexible in his hip flexors.

“Okay, okay, okay. I’m let’s start on our feet shall we?” I say trying to build him a better routine.

“Alrighty.” He says as he swoops his hair back and he ties his shoe. He rests his hands on his hips, and I could tell he was looking at my ass. I get it. I do have a very plump, and full ass, but I don’t even know this guy.

I bend down about half way, my hips are aligned, my arms are behind my back, I’m stretching my hips to let the stress out of the muscles, tendons, and places that don’t get worked the most.

He follows what I’m doing. I bend a knee and I tune to the right side. I’m in a lunge and I put the back leg down. I push myself into the ground. This stretches my hips, and a little of my quads.

“Ow. Ow!” Nico whimpers from behind me. He seems to be pushing himself to far.

“You need to go at your own pace.” I say trying to correct his mistake.

“No. No, this is how far I can go.” Nico insists to go farther. I get up from my lunge and stand behind him. His hips are stressed, he needs to let them looose in order to skate faster, and even be able to feel more loose when he skates.

“No. I can help you, that’s why I’m here.” I voiced.

I grab my hands, and swing them to his hips, he is in his very low lunge and I pick him up a little bit. I twist him to the right and his pelvis is aligned with his shoulders, perfect.

“I feel better. I can feel a stretch and I think I can breathe now.” Nico announced.

I know, this is my job, I know how to fix it.

“Perfect!” I exclaim, letting him know that I am here for him to lean on.

We finish the stretching and the warmups. Now, it’s time for skating. He skates pretty fast, but his too curvy in his feet, I can tell.

“Let’s do a little ballet first?” I mentioned, it���s not an option, we are doing ballet before we skate.

“Okay, whatever you think I need… angel.” Nico announced, and in a very confidently way. He winked at me.

Um.. yes!!!

I taught him to hold his core, and the posture. He obviously doesn’t need the posture portion but the engagement of his core is necessary.

“Slate time?” Nico exclaims, he’s ready. I think I’m ready now too? I lace up my skates and he’s already on the ice.

He skates back, and kneels down. He’s tiring my skates back up.

It’s 12:30. Class started. All the guys come flooding in knowing that I can see their lunch all over their fingers. I told them, 12:30 on the dot. Not before and not later, exactly at 12:30.

“Oh! Hey Nico, and-” Jesper starts but…

“-Dani.” Nico finishes.

“Okay, skates on? Let’s head on the ice!” I say in eager. Nico steps on first and he grabs a hold of my hand, he’s helping me in the ice.

“Oh, you have tension.” Jack says, letting everyone know that Nico thinks I’m just a pretty girl.

Nico skates with me to the middle and the boys are still doing drills that I told them to do a minute ago.

He pulls me in closer to him, I can feel the warmth of his anatomy. His heart is pounding, not only can I feel it I can hear it. That’s how close we are. I feel like I’m on his chest, it doesn’t look like it, but it feels like it.

“You’re a pretty girl.” Nico says as he reaches for his phone. He hands his phone to me and I put in my number.

Class ends, I’m sure I taught everyone how to skate in a safer way. I also think I have them a pre game stretching lesson.

Nico texts me a picture of us, he must of swiped it from when I was talking to the other devils.

God, he’s a really pretty man.

repeating this from the edit but due to her tendency to remember numerous timelines, donna has even more of a SEVERE fear of being abandoned by mc and lacks a lot of self confidence in the relationship. she remembers mc being happy with the others, what if they did a better job than her? what if mc goes to them? or perhaps, what if the loop occurs and mc goes to someone else, and donna sees them just act happier? was she easily replacable?

however, sometimes donna DOES express her relationship anxieties and mc always does help out; its not all torment for donna, dont worry. as time goes on she always tries to be more open with mc about her feelings

okay back to sad. i imagine this happens to everyone but in their own way, but donna is a sleep hugger. so when she wakes up the day after the loop, shes hugging a pillow instead of mc and she just sits there for a bit. sometimes, she doesnt really get it, other times, she instantly knows what happened. she hates the feeling of waking up that morning and thinking she has someone in her arms, only to have an empty spot in her bed.

really good at claw machines. when angie was younger, she loved going to the arcade, and so donna mastered the art of claw machines to get angie a bunch of prizes (and sometimes herself).

invested in noise cancelling headphones / earbuds once she got with mc. she wears them a lot everywhere and even went to her first concert with them, it helps her not be overstimulated.

she hates herself for this, but part of her prays that mc stays with miranda after she has to wipe belas memories. she cant stand the thought of hurting her niece again in another loop.

would probably get a sims addiction, but specifically making sims.

hates hospital shows for MANY reasons. she doesnt like seeing the hospitals first of all, she doesnt like seeing when the people die, and she hates the medical inconsistencies.

in loops where bela and mc have a family (sigh), she can't help but literally try to keep her distance. they won't have their family for long, and she cant bear to tell them that (although bela is most definitely aware) or even get attached to their baby, she doesn't want to lose someone close again (although bela does not catch onto this; she tries to get donna involved as opposed to alcina)

loves build-a-bear. it obviously takes her some time to get ready to go there (she often plans out their least busy times), but she loves to make her own plushes for her collection and buy them new clothes. eventually takes mc there for a date and they adopt a bear together.

as for danielle, her connections to a deer symbolize her unconditional love for the people she cares about, shauna for one, who she will always idolize, even as shauna takes on a darker role, and she's left to question if this person is still her sister. many people also view deers or rather doe as a stereotypical feminine symbol; ie gentleness, compassion, innocence.

One of Dani's best memories is getting their dog i think. They're a veterinarian and this little dog was brought in one day when he was found abandoned and pretty neglected, and Dani ended up adopting him and got him back to good health and now theyre inseperable
