Mouthwashing au where the ship doesn’t crash but Polle comes alive like a manifested embodiment of Jimmy’s guilt and culpability and tries to hunt down the crew based on his subconscious thoughts.
Only he can see it at first but as his mental state gets worse over it, it manifest more to where he either takes responsibility or it slowly consumes the others for their perceived accountability before coming for him.
#basically it’s like if his hallucinations came to life#it’s like a black cat as in little things go wrong before bigger and bigger things#and he has these fever dreams about what is going to happen#and it is killing him cause not even Curly is hearing him out but he’s seeing it look at him the hardest and he has to address his issues#and while the others suffer in this au he suffers the most and will obvi die at the end#but everyone is fucking scared cause holy shit our crew man was so bad and evil it literally possessed the company mascot and tried to kill#us so he could reject that part of himself#like he’s sees how it may cause their fates in the game or worse outcomes and he denies it has anything to do with what he’s done#until it literally is telling him and he decides if they all die and it torments him#cause of course guilt incarnate would make it hard for the guilty#mouthwashing game#mouthwashing#mouthwashing au

DRDT takes another W for actually making me give a shit about its mascot character as apposed to other fangans that make me forget that its ever there
#I think this is slowly fading out and I'm glad it is#but I find that a lot of fangans treat their mascot character like an after-thought and either just#make them diet-monokuma-but-not-actually-because-its-a-different-animal#or make them the story equivalent of an empty water bottle#and it never fails to annoy me because there's so much you could do with a mascot character#but a lot of people dont make them anything outside of their role as a plot device#so uh#I love MonoTV. So much.#this show managed to make me feel bad for a cat-dog tv thing#danganronpa despair time#drdt#monotv#(I think thats the first time I've even tagged it before lmao)
