A SIMPLE WAY TO DO ISTINJAH
AFTER DEFECATING AND URINATING
I take almost 15 minutes or more to finish Istinjah and I have heard from someone that Istinjah should take at least a few seconds or 20 seconds what I think is impossible for me. I don't know why but for me is really difficult to make sure that there are no more urine drops coming out and that there are no more feces on anus and around it or bad smell on the used finger. I feel like something is wrong with me or that I don't know how to clean properly and quick both penis and anus.
In the case of urine, I try different ways to extract all the drops, such as squatting and pressing the penis, and just doing that takes a few minutes. After I feel that it is being difficult to extract more, I start cleaning with 3 or more pieces of toilet paper and then I put water on the outside of the penis 4 or more times, however, after putting water and drying with toilet paper, I see that the opening of the penis gets wet again and with that I stay longer, using toilet paper to dry the opening until I feel it doesn't get wet again.
In the case of feces, when I'm at home, I start using several pieces of toilet paper to eliminate the excess and then, when I go to the shower, I wet my entire left hand, I soap it and I rub my whole hand on the anus and around it. However, after I get out of the shower, I put my finger on the anus and, when I smell it, I feel that the bad smell is still present and with that I waste more time, using toilet paper to see if I can find any more dirt and then trying to wash the anus again until I feel that the finger no longer smells bad.
All this takes more time than washing the penis and I avoid defecating at work because I have a lot of trouble washing the anus and around it with water and I don't want to spend countless pieces of toilet paper until I feel that there is no more dirt on it.
I know that all of this is very exaggerated on my part, but it's just that I'm very afraid of my prayers being invalidated because of possibly ending up cleaning wrongly or incompletely. I charge myself too much and I'm very strict with myself, and I'm not happy with my situation. If anyone can give me tips and methods on how to clean better and easier, I would appreciate it.
How Should One Do Istinjah Properly?
Question
I take very long in the bathroom and then miss prayers. I spend 30 min on the toilet and 20 making wudu’. I fill my lotaa (jug) 4-5 times to wash for urine. Should every part be rubbed? Must inner thighs be washed in Istinjah? What if vaginal discharge touched them, and I do not know?
Is it sufficient to pour water on the inner thighs? Is it permissible to sit on the toilet with legs open to avoid anything touching your thighs? Will this cause splashes when urinating? I am worried that vaginal discharge mixed with water will splash my inner thighs during Istinjah.
Answer
I pray that this situation improves for you and that you stop paying attention to waswasah (baseless misgivings).
Using four or five jugs of water is way too much water. Although there is no set amount, one large jar (lotaa) is usually too much.
Every part does not have to be rubbed, nor is rubbing obligatory. However, scholars advise that one use the middle finger of the left hand to remove the filth in the rear.
Inner thighs don’t require washing during Istinjah.
If you don’t know that vaginal discharge affects your inner thighs, you don’t need to wash them. Certainty is not removed by doubt.
If the vaginal discharge does affect the inner thighs, one can pour water and rub to remove it. However, most vaginal discharge is pure, so it doesn’t require removal.
Sit on the toilet with the legs open when relieving oneself is permissible. What causes splashing is different for everyone. A woman can gently push her skin down (the pelvic area where the pubic hair is) to prevent urine from splashing out onto the seat.
Vaginal discharge mixed with urine should not splash on the thighs when washing oneself. If something does splash, assume it is pure water. You may be seeing more splashes because you are using so much water.
Pouring water during rubbing and drying should take a minute or two. The same is with wudu’. So urinating, washing, and performing wudu’ should take five minutes. Please keep working on this until it is down to the desired timing.
Also, take a course on obligatory knowledge to fight off this waswasa. It is the best weapon you can have. The Shaytan is succeeding when he whispers to you to prolong your time in the bathroom because you end up missing prayers. Make up those prayers and don’t succumb to his tricks. Please see the link below for complete detail on this topic.

LESSONS FROM SUURAH An-NAS (QURAN 114) AND A BRIEF ADVISE.
BismilLah.
Let's ask, who is the biggest victim of Satan (shaytan)? In the Qur’an, a lot of bad people are mentioned. Pharaoh comes in the second rank after Satan. What are the three names of ALLAH in the Surah?
1- Rabb An-Nas (Master of the people)
2- Malik An-Nas (King of the people)
3- Illah An-Nas (God of people)
The Almighty ALLAH (The Most High) has mentioned what (Fir`awn) Pharaoh said about himself in the Qur’an:
1- “I am your most exalted Lord.” (An-Naziat 79:24).
So, Pharaoh said: “I am a ‘rabb’.” He (Pharaoh) attributed to himself the biggest waswasah (whisperings) of shaytan which is supposed to be an attribute of ALLAH (The Most Perfect Power).
What was the biggest problem of shaytan? What is the biggest thing that he can instill inside a human being? It is arrogance.
What is the worst manifestation of arrogance? It is Fir`awn (Pharaoh).
My reminder today is to remind us of how satan can easily aid us to commit shirk without even realising it and ALLAH (THE CREATOR) offered us this great suurah to aid us against such satanic plot.
Nowadays, people do not say what Pharaoh said about himself that he is god over people. Instead, one declares “I am god over myself”, saying, “I am my own master.” In other words, their desires become their master.
The Almighty ALLAH (The Most MERCIFUL) says:
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his own desire…? (Al-Jathiyah 45:23).
This is serious isn't it? Pride and arrogance are two words that can cause us to follow this footsteps of Satan so let's be submissive in all we do.
If you are the boss of any establishment, your apprentice are aware of that. Don't be too commanding reminding them you are the boss and you do what you like Astaqfirullah!!!
No please, you can't do as you like, you must treat others as ALLAH commanded us to treat those under us and that's to know you yourself is a servant of ALLAH (ArRazzaaq, The Provider).
May ALLAH, the most Gracious keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

Asalaam alaikum.. can you advise on how to deal with anxiety?
24. Go to Pharaoh; He has transgressed.” 25. He said, “My Lord, put my heart at peace for me. 26. And ease my task for me. 27. And untie the knot from my tongue. 28. So they can understand my speech. 29. And appoint an assistant for me, from my family. 30. Aaron, my brother. 31. Strengthen me with him. 32. And have him share in my mission. 33. That we may glorify You much. 34. And remember You much. 35. You are always watching over us.” 36. [Allāh] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses
43. Go to Pharaoh. He has tyrannized. 44. But speak to him nicely. Perhaps he will remember, or have some fear.” 45. They said, “Lord, we fear he may persecute us, or become violent.” 46. He said, “Do not fear, I am with you, I hear and I see.
Surat Ta Ha (20) -
Dear sister, I found myself starting with these two passages that are of my absolute favorite passages in the holy Quran in general and in Surat Ta Ha in particular because in my mind when I hear the word anxiety it always connects to surat Ta Ha or what I love to call my anti-anxiety pill. Alhamdulillah.
Now why these passages? It might not be known or talked about a lot, but these verses are a proof that prophet Musa (as) had anxiety. In these verses, Allah swt orders him to go speak to the pharaoh, arguably the most tyrannizing criminal that this earth has seen. This task spikes prophet Musa's anxiety and in the first passage he asks Allah swt to (relax his chest) put his heart at peace and ease his affairs, then he requests support from a family member, his brother Harun (as) - and it is also interpreted that prophet Musa (as) had speech impairment, he has problems in his speech? Thus the " untie the knot from my tongue " duaa he made for Allah swt, so he needed to be also backed up by his brother. Can you imagine the amount of anxiety he must have been feeling and going through? Not only the Lord of the Worlds was directly speaking to him ( a surreal supernatural experience ) but also He swt was giving him such a BIG task! I mean sis! I have a thesis I need to finish and it feels like there is a mountain sitting on my chest 24/7, even when I sleep at night I have nightmares about it. And whenever I have to make an important phone call or go into the principal's office at work, I get the whole rapid heartbeats, stomachache, joint pain, shaky voice and whatnot. You know the drill.. Anyways, back to Musa (as), so what does Allah swt say? He swt doesn't tell him that he (Musa) is crazy or delusional, He swt doesn't accuse him of lack of faith, or of being dominated by the Shaytan's waswasah (whispers) like these now Shaykhs throw at us. He swt is the all-knowing, the most just, the most fair, the most merciful and the most gracious. He swt not only acknowledges prophet Musa (as)'s fear and immediately reassures him and calms his heart : you have been granted your request! " Ya Allah.. this gets me every time wallahi.
You know what's the thing we need the most when our anxiety hits? Reassurance. Full stop. Reassurance silences all the voices inside our heads, calms us down, puts our hearts to ease. And what a better place to get reassurance from other than Allah swt?
And Allah swt does it again, further down in the Surah, when faces with the task again prophet Musa (as) voices his worries again, and Allah swt doesn't get fed up with him, doesn't accuse him of being a coward or annoying.. He swt patiently assures him that He swt is with him and with his brother, He swts hears and listens. I once heard a tafseer for this verse that compares it to a mother's love, when her child goes out to play and she will reassure them by saying she is around not far away she could see them from the window and hear them if they need anything. How comforting, sübhanallah.
With that being said and clarified, let me cut to the chase before the post gets too long.
The first step to dealing with your anxiety is to actually accept it. Never be ashamed of it. It is something that even a high-ranking prophet experienced. It is not a sin, it is not your fault, it is just the way your brain is wired. And it is something that Allah swt is testing you with. And the first step to pass your test is to actually acknowledge and accept it. For me, it felt like my whole life made sense the moment I was diagnosed with anxiety. When my therapist actually uttered the words, which wasn't a long time ago, I felt so sorry for all the girls that I have been, throughout the different stages of my life whom had to struggle and push through the pain, the dilemma, the countless anxiety attacks and made it through without actually knowing what they had, while being called crazy, gaslit, disregard, attacked, humiliated, mocked, bullied, etc.. for something that they didn't do nor did they understand. So my first advice to you is to befriend your anxiety, you win nothing by fighting it and making it your enemy. On the contrary, she (oh trust me it's a she, lmao) is a part of who you are, to the point that it could define some of your personality traits, she lives in your head rent free, she is not going anywhere anytime soon, so you better make peace with her. Rejecting, hating, attacking, blaming your anxiety will only make it worse.
Another basic advice is to actually study it, learn it, identify your triggers, be in tone with your body, pay attention to your mood changes, your heart rate, the stomach pain, or whatever symptoms you experience, and identify the act or event or task that generated and triggered those symptoms. That's how you find your triggers, and then next time when you anticipate that thing, you could go through it in your head, you could rehearse or make plans, you could take all your precautions and whatnot.
As for remedies, I am no therapist, so I am not allowed to prescribe anything, but I do take pills myself when necessary. God knows sometimes it gets too much. Breathing helps. Deep thorough breaths from the tummy, they can help calm your heartbeats.. if when you feel anxious about something you would have the time to read some Quran then please do it, it really calms you down and distracts you from the problem even momentarily. Umm, you can listen to your comfort audio (be it a quran recitation or something like I have already mentioned in the post earlier today), talk to someone who makes you comfortable, whether a parent, a partner, a sibling, a best friend... and finally, I will give you my therapist's golden tip: if it doesn't work, ASK FOR HELP.
And eventually, always go back to Allah swt, the source of all comfort, the source of all reassurance and the source of all good. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'I am to my slave as he thinks of Me, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him). So always try to think (after you are done freaking out 😅) that Allah swt has got you, and that probably all the bad things that you are scared of won't even come true. Allah swt is the most merciful and the most gracious, He swt is the best of planners and no one has out best interest more than the Pne who created us. Alhamdulillah.
Tbh, I could go on about this for days, but I think I have written the longest answer for an ask in the history of Tumblr. So imma stop here.
I will leave you with 3 very meaningful duaas that are supposed to be recited in the morning and evening adhkar, try to incorporate them in your daily routine, and you will soon notice the difference, bi idhn Allah :)
In the name of Allah with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing. x3
Allah is sufficient for me, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, upon Him I rely and He is Lord of the exalted throne. x7
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay, and preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth

May Allah swt calm your worries, and grant your heart sakinah and reassurance. Ameen.

When my father passed away Allah yerhamhu i was diagnosed with anxiety i am now afraid of death afraid and afraid of the pain of sakarat almout I always wake up at the middle of the night terrified of the pain of death i read online that the pain is unbearable and it’s the worst pain anyone can ever feel and I really can’t help but think about it every night before going to bed im scared of pain and of it might last for too long im such a weak and helpless being asking Allah for his mercy. Any advice on how to overcome this situation would be appreciated.
My dear brother, how often we fail to look at things with a balanced view. How often we find problems in our daily lives that stem from the extremes of either concern or negligence. The one who seeks happiness and success in this world has to have a balanced approach without letting the one outweigh the other. In this manner he can strengthen his heart with faith and find peace of mind in doing that which he is required to do. What you are complaining of does not stem from ignorance of the root of the matter, rather it stems from the fact that you are focusing more on fear and the causes of fear and you are forgetting about being optimistic and not paying any attention to it.
You know that death is an inevitable reality that will come to every living thing, and no one will be spared that, no matter how noble his status before Allaah. Allaah said to His Prophet, the noblest of all creation (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, you (O Muhammad) will die, and verily, they (too) will die”
[al-Zumar 39:30]
The positive kind of fear of death is that which make a person check himself and watch himself, and bring himself to task for bad deeds. This fear is that which makes a man keep away from sin and persist in praying for forgiveness and repenting. As for the kind of fear that makes a person panic, expect the worst and feel helpless, and discourages him from taking any action and prevents him from doing his duties, this is a negative and blameworthy kind of fear. The one who feels this has to strive hard to rid himself of it and put a stop to it. Perhaps this is what the questioner is feeling, and he thinks that this waswasah (whisper from the Shaytaan) is a warning of danger and a sign that the end is near. But this is not the case. All it is, is a whisper from the accursed Shaytaan,
remember the kindness and mercy of Allaah towards His believing slaves, for He is Loving, Compassionate and Forgiving, the One Whose mercy prevails over His wrath, Who blesses the sinner with abundant forgiveness. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Why should Allaah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him. And Allaah is Ever All‑Appreciative (of good), All‑Knowing”
[al-Nisa’ 4:147]
you should make a lot of du’aa’ asking Allaah to dispel this waswaas (whispers from the Shaytaan) from you. Pray to Him with all humbleness, expressing your weakness and need of Him. And rest assured that He will certainly answer you.

SHAITAN IS YOUR ENEMY
*The Story Of Barsisa*
At the time of Bani Israel, there was a man in a small village, called Barsisa. He was, what you call, a monk. But he was a true Christian. He believed in Tawheed and believed Isa (peace be upon him) was a messenger of Allah.
One day three brothers decided to go for Jihad. But they had a sister and they did not want to leave her alone. So they went looking for someone to take care of her. The town people suggested to leave her with Barsisa, because of his piety. So they went to him and when they asked him, he said, "I seek refuge from the cursed Shaytan" and said No! This was because he was scared of falling into sin (due to the potential fitnah it may cause).
Then Shaytan came to Barsisa in the form of Waswasah (Whisperings). Shaytan is very smart and knew Barsisa had a soft heart. So he told Barsisa, "What if they can’t find someone good and leave her with someone bad, wouldn’t that be your fault?" Now Barsisa did not realise this was Shaytan whispering in his heart, and because of his compassion for others, he decided to accept their request and help the woman.
He let her stay in a house opposite the church. He did this so that it would be easy for him to leave her food outside the church and she could come get it herself. But after sometime, shaytan returned. This time he told Barsisa, "Why don’t you leave the food closer for her, so that people don’t see her moving back and forth alone!" Barsisa agreed and started leaving the food outside the house. But shaytan wasn’t happy with this either, so sometime later, he returned and ask Barsisa, "Why don’t you go in and leave it on the table, so that no one sees her coming out and going in alone all the time!" Again, Barsisa agreed and he started leaving the food on the table.
Then as time went by, Shaytan returned and said to him, "Why don’t you talk to her, she is all alone and has no one to talk to!" Barsisa agreed and started talking to her from behind a door (so as to screen himself). But this would lead them to almost shouting to each other to here themselves. Shaytan asked Barsisa to just go in and talk to her, and finally, he (Shaytan) had got the alone in a room. Shaytan had completed the difficult part. It wasn’t after Barsisa and the woman committed fornication. And to make things worse, she also became pregnant. As soon as the baby was born, Shaytan returned, and said to Barsisa, "What have you done? Look at the result of your evil (i.e. the child), get rid of the evidence otherwise the brothers will kill you!" Barsisa killed the baby and buried it in the same room the woman was in.
To be continued....

Delusions, psychotic disorders, and other mental illnesses in the light of Islam
Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatuLlah, bismiLlah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. All praise is to Allah, everything good comes from Him and every error of mine comes from me alone. So may Allah forgive me for such mistakes.
Disclaimer - I am not a professional nor a scholar: I limit myself to sharing from those who are, and putting information together. None of this content should be taken as a replacement for spiritual counselling or actual mental health support. I am simply your sister fiLlah.
According to WebMD, “Psychotic disorders are a group of serious illnesses that affect the mind. They make it hard for someone to think clearly, make good judgments, respond emotionally, communicate effectively, understand reality, and behave appropriately.”
There are many different psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and delusional disorder. Other disorders, such as some personality disorders (like borderline personality disorder) or mood disorders (like bipolar disorders), may also feature psychotic symptoms. Moreover, psychotic disorders may be co-morbid with other mental illnesses, such as post-traumatic disorders, personality disorders, and more.
Symptoms may include:
difficulty concentrating
depressive episodes and anxiety
problems sleeping a healthy amount of time
delusions
hallucinations with one or more of the five senses
disorganized speech
suicidal tendencies and/or self-harm
Is it my fault if I have a psychotic disorder? Do I deserve to suffer because I am a “bad muslim” even though I strive to be better?
Being mentally ill, having a psychotic disorder, or suffering from delusions does not have to do with how religious or righteous one is. Dr. Abu’l Mundhir Khaleel ibn Ibraaheem Ameen, in his book “The Jinn & Human Sickness”, states: “Even those who are righteous and upright in their religious commitment are not free from the problems of delusions.” In fact, it is clear that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala sends tests to all of His believers, including prophets, messengers, and other people who were extremely close to Allah ta’ala.
Allah says:
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
Qur’an, 21:35
And He also says:
And fear the trial which will not strike in particular (only) those who have wronged among you...
Qur’an, 8:25
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.”
Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (2396) and Ibn Majah (4031). Classed as saheeh by al-Albani.
Depending on the situation, a calamity that befalls an individual may be a test for those around them, and a blessing for them.
Shaykh Al-Munajjid said on this topic:
Not every sickness or handicap is necessarily a punishment; rather it may be a test for the child’s parents, by which Allaah will expiate for their bad deeds, or raise their status in Paradise if they bear this trial with patience. Then if the child grows up, the test will also include him, and if he bears it with patience and faith, then Allaah has prepared for the patient a reward that cannot be enumerated.
That said, it is also plausible that one’s suffering is a means for them to get closer to Allah, or to be purified from their sins.
It was narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
«The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:“If Allah wills good for His slave, He hastens his punishment in this world, and if He wills bad for His slave, He withholds from him (the punishment for) his sin, until He requites him for it on the Day of Resurrection.”»
Narrated and classed as hasan by at-Tirmidhi (2396); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Tirmidhi.
This shows that when Allah loves his believers, He tests them so that their sins may be expiated quickly and more easily.
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported:
«The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no Muslim who is afflicted with pain as much as the prick of a thorn or more but that Allah will expiate his sins just as leaves fall from a tree.”»
Narrated in Saheeh Bukhari (5324), Saheeh Muslim (2571).
Alhamdulillah, every little pain we suffer in this Dunya will earn us expiations from sins. So what about serious illnesses and long-lasting emotional pain?
Every person’s situation will be different, some will be tested to have their status elevated, some will be tested for expiation, some will be tested because of Allah’s mercy, some will be test for all of the aforementioned reasons, and so forth. Many times, individuals’ lives may be full of obstacles and tests because of reasons that are unclear to us, and only known to Allah.
Moreover, everyone sins, and everyone needs more and more guidance, for man is imperfect, and only prophets were most perfect in matters that regard religion! Do not despair of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, and rest assured His plan is the best plan of all.
Will I be punished if I sin in times where I am unable to reason clearly or understand what I am doing?
Whenever a Muslim who suffers from hallucinations hears or sees something terrible, such as something that undermines Islam or which places doubts in his mind about Allah, or similar things, they will not be held accountable for it.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
«The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah has forgiven my ummah for whatever whispers [waswasah] cross their minds so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it.”»
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2391) and Muslim (127).
Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Fath al-Baari (5/161):
What we may understand is that there is no blame for what crosses a person’s mind, unless it is translated into actions or words as a result of that thought. What is meant by whispers [waswasah] is when a thought resides in a person’s mind without him feeling happy with it, or it takes root in his mind.
Moreover, Shaykh al-Munajjid states,
If we assume that this sick person uttered what was on his mind under the pressure of his illness or of the whispers in his heart in the sense that he was overcome and could not help it, and these words came out of him without him intending that, then he will not be brought to account for that, because he did not intend to say it out loud. (..) If he says something when he is compelled, without intending or wanting to, then he will not be brought to account for it.
What is the cause and cure of such disorders?
Verily every sickness has a cure that Allah has sent. Any physical and psychological disease may be caused by a problem which resides in one’s body or brain, or alternatively, by jinn, devilish whispers, going astray from the right path of Islam, and so forth; or even both.
The cure may be found in the deen (religion) as well as meds or other therapies.
For more information, please read the book “The Jinn & Human Sickness” by Dr. Abu’l Mundhir Khaleel ibn Ibraaheem Ameen.
Shaykh al-Munajjid says on this matter:
The depression that people feel may be a sickness that needs to be treated and needs referral to specialists; or it may be feelings of distress that may be relieved by doing a lot of acts of worship, remembering Allah, keeping company with good and righteous friends, and keeping busy with beneficial actions. (...) Whatever the case, Allah has not sent down any disease but He has sent down a cure for it, and there is a remedy for this depression no matter what type it is. The believer should adorn himself with patience and certainty of faith, and he should turn to Allah a great deal and ask of Him, because the keys to goodness are in His hand.
In any case, it will certainly not cause harm if one who suffers from a psychotic disorder starts reading more Qur’an, reciting adhkar, and surrounding yourself with righteous people who are understanding and supportive and will remind you of Allah, and to be patient in a beautiful way. Even if such a person’s disorder is not caused by jinn, being closer to Allah will undoubtedly give them a powerful weapon against impatience, despair, or their condition becoming worse due to devilish whispers.
Am I allowed to see a psychologist or psychiatrist, and take anti-psychotic medication or other types of medication?
Yes, upon scholarly consensus, finding a cure to your diseases is permitted or encouraged. It is not reprehensible, and one should take care of one’s body, mind and soul as best as possible, as long as the means of doing that are halal.
It was narrated that Abu’l-Dardaa’ (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:
«The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah created the disease and the cure, so treat disease but do not treat it with anything that is haraam.”»
Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, 24/254. Classed as saheeh by al-Albani.
Ibn al-Qayyim said on the matter:
In the saheeh ahaadeeth there is the command to use medicine, and these ahaadeeth state that this does not contradict the idea of putting one’s trust in Allaah, just as warding off hunger, thirst, heat and cold by means of their opposites does not contradict it. Rather the reality of Tawheed cannot be perfected without following the means which Allaah has created in order to reach ends, both by His universal will and in His laws that He has prescribed. Ignoring this matter undermines the very essence of putting one’s trust in Allaah, just as it undermines the concept of Allaah’s command and wisdom, and weakens it so that the one who does not use the means to an end thinks that not using them is a stronger form of putting one’s trust in Allah. But not using the means to an end is a sign of weakness which contradict the idea of putting one’s trust in Allaah, the essence of which is the reliance of the heart on Allaah to provide that which will benefit a person in this world and in the Hereafter, and to ward off that which will harm him in this world and in the Hereafter. But it is essential to depend on use of the means, otherwise one is denying the wisdom of Allaah and the laws which He has prescribed. So the slave of Allaah should not call his helplessness dependence on Allaah, or call his dependence on Allaah helplessness.
(Zaad al-Ma’aad, 4/15)
It is true that sometimes, medication may contain dubious ingredients, or may have enormous side effects which makes one wonder whether it is worth taking such medication. In such cases, one should ask (or look for) a specific fatwa on the matter. Keep in mind there is some disagreement among scholars on some matters, such as the use of gelatin in some pills.
I pray that Allah aids every person suffering from mental illness in the best way possible, and hope everyone who reads this can find some comfort and guidance, in sha’ Allah. May Allah reward you greatly. And if you find I have committed an error, remind me gently, and correct me without hesitation. And finally, verily Allah knows best.

A set of questions about the Devil | Part Two | The Jin series questions and answers Blaming Satan is an escape from responsibility and not acknowledging negligence, because of the aforementioned that the devil has nothing but adornment and waswasah without being forced to act, just as Satan disavows man’s bad deeds and blames him as in the Almighty saying: {And Satan said when the matter was decided: God promised you

Salaam. It will be your time soon. To heal. To be at ease. To be happy. To find peace. Have patience. Have focus on that light at the end of the tunnel. With the hardship, you will be at ease. Pray. Talk to God. Block out the negative thoughts. The waswasah. The battle with your nafs. Ignore the evil around you. Ignore the bad people below you.
The dark clouds hanging above you. The storm you’re in. Before it breaks you, don’t let it break you apart. Don’t make space for it in your already broken heart. You’re stronger than this, you’re stronger than what you think you are, stronger than the devils that try and attack you. You’re human. Created with strength, love and beauty.
The devils will not take anything away from you because they don’t have the right to. Allah didn’t give them that power. That power to steal your faith. Which is your imaan burning in your heart, that that faith and hope in Allah coool your heart down. Give you peace of mind. Salaam.

Assalamualaikum warahmatula, I am constantly in fear of death and I know it’s not the positive kind of fear Cause this depresses me a lottt, please tell me how to cope up with it, and please pray for me

Are we scared of death because our sins can take us to hell or because we have an attachment to this world
The positive kind of fear of death is that which make a person check himself and watch himself, and bring himself to task for bad deeds. All it is, is a whisper from the accursed Shaytaan, to cause distress to the believer and to make his life a misery, and there is nothing real behind it. This is why, when you went to the hospital for tests, they showed that you are in good health, which should make you feel better and give you peace of mind.

What can i do?: i cant stop thinking about death and the fact that this life is short and worth nothing. Everything i do & experience, i think about how its not permanent. It sounds ma sha allah but its not, it feels terrible everyday. Positive thing is it puts things in perspective for me but its so heavy. Thinking of this makes me scared of yawm qiyamah allot. the thing that KILLS me the most is thinking about losing my loved ones in this world. It makes me exhausted.

Asalam Alaikum. I struggle with balance of deen and dunya. I have a negative perspective on life. I used to have a good routine in life: praying, working out, be with friends, read books. Now I have no motivation to do anything since I’m gonna die anyway. I think “why become strong you gonna die anyway” “why become smart it’s waste knowledge, you gonna die anyway”. Only focus on deen. I used to only pray, but now I even lost motivation to do that. Do you have any advice in shaa Allah?
This is incorrect thinking. Look at the companions of the Prophet. They were afraid and thinking about death a lot, but nevertheless they lived their lives and did what they wanted, they married and had many children, we have to prepare for death, but without leaving life, It is possible for you to do earthly things and get rewards that will benefit you after death. When you get married you get rewarded and when you work you get reward because you are trying to earn from halal You have to make this your thinking in this world, and death, to work in this world to help you after deathMy dear brother, how often we fail to look at things with a balanced view.
