কোমর ব্যথা কমানোর জন্য কিছু কার্যকরী ব্যায়াম নিচে উল্লেখ করা হলো। এসব ব্যায়াম নিয়মিতভাবে করলে ব্যথা কমতে সহায়তা করবে:
১. ব্রিজ এক্সারসাইজ
পেছনে শুয়ে পড়ুন এবং হাঁটু বাকান। 
পায়ের পাতা মাটিতে রেখে কোমরকে উপরে তুলুন।
৫-১০ সেকেন্ড ধরে রাখুন এবং ধীরে ধীরে নিচে নামুন।
এটি ১০-১৫ বার করুন।
২. কোমরের টিল্ট
দাঁড়িয়ে থাকুন এবং কোমরকে সামনের দিকে ঝুঁকিয়ে পায়ের প্রান্তে দাঁড়ান।
কোমরকে সামনের দিকে ঝুঁকান এবং আবার ফিরে আসুন।
এটি ১০-১৫ বার করুন।
৩. পা-এর ব্যায়াম   
চিত উপর শুয়ে পড়ুন। 
একটি পা মাটির থেকে ৩০ ডিগ্রি উঁচু করুন।
৫ সেকেন্ড ধরে রাখুন এবং আবার নামিয়ে ফেলুন
এটি ১০-১৫ বার করুন।

সাধারনত ব্যথা হলে আমরা নানা রকম ব্যথানাশক ঔষধ সেবন করে থাকি। আবার অনেক সময় অপারেশনও করতে হয়। তবে এগুলো ছাড়াও অন্যান্য কিছু ঘরোয়া চিকিৎসা রয়েছে যেগুলো ঔষধ ছাড়া কোমর ব্যথা কমাতে সাহায্য করে থাকে। কোমর ব্যথা কমানোর জন্য কিছু ঘরোয়া উপায়ও রয়েছে, যা সহজে অনুসরণ করা যায়।
১. গরম পানি বা বরফের ব্যবহার
গরম সেঁক এবং বরফের ব্যবহার কোমর ব্যথা কমাতে খুবই কার্যকর। গরম সেঁক ব্যথার স্থানে রক্ত সঞ্চালন বৃদ্ধি করে এবং মাংসপেশি শিথিল করতে সাহায্য করে। সপ্তাহে ২-৩ দিন ১৫-২০ মিনিট গরম সেঁক দিন। অপরদিকে, বরফ ব্যথা ও ফুলে যাওয়া কমাতে সাহায্য করে। ব্যথার স্থানে বরফের প্যাক ১০-১৫ মিনিট রাখুন, তবে সরাসরি বরফ ব্যবহার না করে কাপড়ে মোড়ানো বরফ ব্যবহার করুন। এই পদ্ধতিগুলি নিয়মিত ব্যবহার করলে কোমর ব্যথা থেকে পরিত্রান পেতে পারেন। 
২. আদা ও হলুদের ব্যবহার
আদা ও হলুদ কোমর ব্যথা কমাতে কার্যকরী। আদা অ্যান্টি-ইনফ্লেমেটরি গুণাবলী দ্বারা ব্যথা উপশম করে। এটি চা বা গরম পানির সাথে গ্রহণ করা যেতে পারে। হলুদে কুরকুমিন রয়েছে, যা প্রদাহ কমাতে সাহায্য করে। এক চামচ হলুদ গুঁড়া দুধের সাথে মিশিয়ে পান করলে উপকার পাওয়া যায়। নিয়মিত এই দুটি উপাদান ব্যবহার করলে কোমর ব্যথা থেকে মুক্তি মিলতে পারে।
