You know what, I have a lot of opinions about this one.

I want to start this off by saying that Sebastian Sallow would be an amazing father.

When MC reveals they are pregnant, he goes on a roller coaster of emotions.

At first Sebastian would be over the damn moon that he's going to be a father. Like, MC has never seen him this happy in the entire time knowing him. He's excited, he gets started on a nursery right away, he tells the neighbours before you even have a chance to tell any family.

However, as the weeks go by the doubt starts to settle in.

Perhaps Sebastian doesn't deserve to be a father. Not with his past. Not with the things he has learned and the things he has done.

How could hands that have taken life hold new life? It seemed wrong. Sebastian was certain his touch would taint someone so new, innocent, and pure.

MC notices that Sebastian withdraws a little bit. He goes from constantly touching her belly and talking to his child, to just straight up avoiding her and avoiding talking about the baby.

Sebastian starts working more, taking on more cases and staying longer at the office in some attempt to buy his redemption. He had become an Auror to try and make up for what he'd done, and to try and prevent others from doing the same thing he did - why not try a little harder.

MC sits him down one night when he gets back from work very late and finally coaxes him into confessing his fears. MC reminds him that she too has killed, and she asks him if that would make her a bad mother. Sebastian is appalled at the notion, insistent that MC will be an amazing mother.

MC reminds him that the past is the past - it's not possible to undo what had been done - all she and Sebastian can do is learn from their mistakes and become the best people they possibly can. Sebastian is crying. He loves MC so freaking much.

Anne is happy for Sebastian. Five years after Solomon's death, the twins had spent a long time talking and had formed a tentative relationship again. Despite a lingering rift, the two were quite close again.

Or, if Anne has passed away, Sebastian visits her grave and lets her know she's going to be an Aunt.

He visits Solomon's grave as well.

Sebastian is convinced it's a girl. MC thinks it's a boy. They're both right. It's twins.

He reads to MC's belly, and MC is amazed that the baby always seems more active whenever Sebastian does so.

Cries the first time he feels the baby kick. It embarrasses him so much, but he's just so so so happy.

He'd be so obnoxious during the pregnancy, insistent that he'll do everything and MC should just sit there and look pretty and make their child. It drives MC insane, and it takes some sharp hexes to get him to relax a little bit.

Pre-parental panics like he's a sim in the Sims 4 when MC goes into labour.

Obviously they have twins. I'll play into that cliche so hard. A boy and a girl. Sebastian has a mini crisis over this. They name the twins after Sebastian's parents and Eleazar and Miriam Fig.

As they grow, the girl looks exactly like MC just with Sebastian's eyes and freckles. The boy is literally just Sebastian. MC wants to know where the hell her genetics went - until he gets an attitude and she understands that the poor boy has her temperament.

Sebastian is literally the most fun dad. He helps the twins play pranks on their unsuspecting mother. He takes them to Quidditch games all the time. He teaches them to fly on those mini-brooms.

He continues reading to them, this is something he does well into their early adulthood. The twins find it very relaxing.

Still has his doubts. Still has his bad days. Still is uncertain every step of the way, but he tries as best as he can - and to be honest, he's a wonderfully supportive and patient father.

I'm sorry but he's the stereotypical introduces himself to any of his daughter's male friends with a threat and always asks their intentions with his daughter.

Splits discipline with MC evenly, neither of them are the good parent/bad parent. Also helps with EVERYTHING. Often takes over and tells MC to go sleep because raising twins is a lot of work.

They're such a happy little family.

today i had a hard time sleeping, 2 a.m. na yata ako nakatulog kasi sinaway na ako ni kim at tigilan ko na daw kakacellphone para makatulog na ako. nakapikit lang ako and was uncomfortable the whole night because of my baby bump. then he hugged me caressing my back, i fell asleep.

woke up with him staring at me while caressing my hair, then he said "good morning" with lots of kisses.

i used to feel so giddy with these kind of things. but now, i felt empty. nahirapan na ako makabalik ng tulog, kaya nagscroll nalang ako through my phone.

then suddenly, pregnancy cravings kicked in. gusto ko ng unli wings, siopao malapit sa mga lola ko, at spaghetti. i told kim i'm craving all of these, but i knew he can't be there to provide it since he's at work.

so i cooked myself some spaghetti instead and went by my day, watched the series i'm currently addicted to.

by 12, got out of the bed and astonished to see kim downstairs. he was at home during his lunch break at work, brought some siopao and ingredients for cooking spaghetti. "nagluto ka na pala, ipagluluto sana kita." parang nakokonsensya na ako, na-aappreciate ko yung mga effort, thoughtfulness and affection but at the same time hindi ko rin alam bakit parang wala akong amor?

sabi ko lang "so, anong trip mo ngayon dito?" kasi tapos na ako kumain at patulog na sana ulit para makapagpahinga bago pumasok ng trabaho ngayong tanghali. and he said "wala hehe, dito lang."

then i went back to bed, naiwan ko siya don sa baba. natulog ako to rest. after an hour, naramdaman ko siya tumabi sakin. kinakausap ako at kinukulit. i immediately said "anong kailangan mo? magsabi na kesa uutuin mo pako."

"wala naman. gusto lang kitang lambingin, kasi mamaya late na ako makakauwi dahil christmas party namin."

i don't want to be the asshole in this story but it felt nice to finally not care anymore, besides i will feel loved then will be fooled behind my back again, all of this feels bullshit anymore.

Yo I kinda feel like Ominis would act like Edward from Twilight at first if he found out MC was pregnant with his daughter. Like he'd be upset at the prospect of the child being a typical Gaunt but then totally fall in love with her and regret his behavior.

I can absolutely see this and this has the potential for S tier angst.

I'm not going to lie my brain immediately went to Ominis trying to bite the baby out of MC like Edward did with Bella but clearly that wouldn't be the issue (I hope?????)

The pregnancy announcement would come as a massive shock to Ominis, and I can really see him distancing himself from MC as a form of self-preservation and in his mind it's also protecting MC from himself and his bloodline. He really feels as though he's got tainted blood, and all of his family's bullshit will get passed on to his child. It brings back a lot of his childhood trauma, and he spends the first like 7 months of MC pregnancy having horrible nightmares of his past. He still loves MC, and he still treats her with respect and cares for her but he’s a lot more quiet and he seems to be keeping her at an arm’s length. They talk a lot about his family and his emotions, MC is trying to be as supportive as possible but Ominis is a stubborn bastard and also super cynical so the conversations kind of just go in circles.

MC is understandably devastated by his reaction and is depressed as hell. She's scared too, she's the one growing a whole ass human inside of her, and she does understand Ominis' reservations about passing down his gene-pool to a child, but she's adamant that they will be loving parents who teach their children empathy and respect. She reminds Ominis constantly that he is nothing like his family and there's no reason to expect their children to be any different than him.

Towards the end of the pregnancy though, Ominis feels the baby kicking one night, and he just kind of makes a surprised pikachu face. He talks to MC's belly sometimes at night when he thinks MC is sleeping - she's listening the whole time - and he basically just asks the child to treat MC with respect and to not hurt her too much and he confesses to the baby how scared he is about who they will be and he’s scared that his family will find them and feel entitled to the baby. Sometimes MC has to get up when he’s fallen asleep to go cry lol.

When MC finally delivers the baby, which tbh yeah it's gonna be a girl - Ominis is such girl dad material it's not even funny - he is so immediately whipped. From the first second he hears her cries, he would do anything for her. He realizes she’s a vulnerable tiny little thing that needs to be cared for, and gods be praised does he care for her. He's so sweet with his daughter, playing with her and reading to her and transfiguring things for her. He charms some gold butterflies to flutter over the crib.

Ominis and MC would wait until their baby was much more grown to let her know about Ominis' family - she'd rebel against it until she saw Merope and Morfin Gaunt one day in Little Hangleton while trying to find her father's family and just nopes right out of that one.

The baby would look like him. Eldest daughter looking like her dad trope af. His hair, his nose, but MC's smile. She would share a lot of personality traits with MC, except she's got Ominis' sarcastic humour and his penchant for transfiguration. Not interested much in combat, thinks DADA is cool but doesn't love it.

Anne would be the first person to meet the baby outside of MC's parents/siblings if they're involved in MC life. After Anne, it's Poppy and Natty, and then finally Sebastian comes and meets his niece (in this world they've all made up! thanks!).

Asdgjsoeifgjsdfgn now I'm just thinking about soft!Ominis being such a dad. Look at the rant you've put me on. This is going to be on my mind all day now. Thank you LOL

And then 16 years down the line the daughter goes fucking full evil can u imagine

i want to talk about this hate that's been growing deep inside of me. it wasn't there before until i had my son and the betrayal then took placed.

despise the fact we spoken on it; it never was meant to really happen, it wasn't your decision but mines. and you went behind my back, to tell his father that i gave birth. you thought that a bby was going to change that man mind and i kept telling you its wasnt..

i feel like you was miserable in the position you put yourself in and i had to join in the parade with you because you lowkey didnt want to be alone walking through that. the positive shit you thought was going to happen just because i was carrying his kid didnt mean shit to him. i knew it and you just blinded by your own belief that you fooled me into thinking that hope and faith would change him. but this man colors really came out more as our son got older. yet his colors continue to bleed out, got me looking at myself like how foolish was i. now with everything that he is putting me through has made me grow hate towards our friendship.

a lesson in life that had to be learned the hard way. now im just accepting it for what it is. moving forward one step at a time. i hope to one day to forgive you but i have to eat this L.
