Out of curiosity I must ask, what League of Legends champion do you absolutely loathe lore wise?

I don't mean that you hate them every time they're on screen and wish that Riot never made them, mind you. I mean they're good in design and execution, but if you were in their world, you'd punch them directly in the balls.

God, like... most of them? Yeah, most of them probably. Might be easier to count the ones I wouldn't get angry with.

Understand, most of these characters are people who wield tremendous power and who, out of the necessity of storytelling, makes really bad choices about how to wield it and wield it unilaterally over other people.

Like, Shen for example, good ol' mister Eye of Twilight, Keeper of the Balance and so on... also happy to just let people get Noxus Murdered because of spirit balances or whatever. Fuck that guy. Punch him in the dick. Nasus is too busy feeling sorry for himself in the desert to give a shit about helping the people he was once sworn to defend, Swain is a military dictator, Darius is the enforcer of military dictatorship, Garen and Fiora both aid and abet an ongoing genocide while Lux is a reprehensible centrist about it, Xayah and Rakan are terrorists targeting human civilians, Bard happily lets entire villages be slaughtered while he collects magic artifacts, Vex killed like hundreds of thousands of people during the Ruination... it goes on like this.

So yeah. Lillia is cute and good and deserves the world. Ekko and his crew have never done anything wrong, ever, and protect Zeri at all costs. Yuumi is baby. I'd try goat's milk to drink with Braum, and I'd love to share a campfire with Taliyah and her folks. Nami seems alright, Neeko would be fun to chat with, I wish to build a snowman with Nunu and Willump. Poppy is okay, but we don't know if she's on the mages' side yet, so, hm. Soraka is welcome at the party though!

And y'know what, Seraphine and Gwen can come too, they seem like they'd be baseline pleasant to have around.

Happy Cody Day!

So, in Honor of Cody Day (2/2/24), that I completely didn’t.....somewhat.... forget about until last minute.  I attempted to draw some cute fan art of Cody with all his nieces and nephews from my Clone kiddo Au.

And.....

I didn’t like it.  It just wasn’t working the way I wanted it to.  So, I tried something else.  And that looked terrible.  So I went for attempt number 3 aaaannnnd.... you can guess how that went.

Anyway

Here is a cute little short story instead featuring Cody and one of his nieces from my whacky AU.

“Ow...”

“Sorry.” Cody mumbled.

“They don't have to be....kandos” A small voice mumbled. (Perfect)

“Ba’vod is almost done. This will only take a moment.” (Uncle)

“Gar said megin eyn hour’ago.” The small voice retorted. (You said that an hour ago.)

Cody huffed as he stared down at his messy work.  Despite weeks of careful planning, endless research, and diligent practice..... he really sucked at braiding.  In particular, he sucked at braiding hair.  There was something about braiding hair chaffed him to no end.  His braids were always uneven, messy, and, quite frankly, just inadequate.  He was just really bad at it.  He always had been and he expected that he always would be.  Much to his young and fidgety niece’s bad luck.

Now, Taliyah, or Tally for short, was trying her best to sit still.  But she was also a ten-year old child who really, really wanted to go play with the other kids in the yard.  What had started as a simple request for twin braids in her hair had turned into a battle of attrition for the young girl.  She had been so blissfully unaware of Cody’s utter disdain for braids.  And now, two hours later, her patience was reaching a breaking point. So, in a moment of defeat.....Cody throw in the towel and let the messy braids win.

“Alright, I guess that will have to do.” He huffed out.  “So, how do they look?”

He handed Tally a small mirror to look at her braids.  Her pale purple hair was so different than Cody’s own.  It was softer than the hair of the clones and had more of a wavy curl when compared to the tight curls that he and Vod’s sported.  This made his usual styling techniques and tricks ineffective on most days.  Especially braids.  But Tally didn’t seem to care about the messy braids or their uneven alignment, as a bright smile blossomed across her face.

“Val're Kandosii! I Love it, Ba’vod Kote!” (They’re perfect.)

Whirling around to face him, Cody was met with a tight hug and a wide toothy grin that made his heart melt.

“Ori'vor'e, ori’vor’e!” (An excited thank you expression.) The young girl chimed.  “Now I have braids too.  Just like Aurora and the ashi’vods.” (other kids)

Cody hummed and nodded along with her excitement.  He honestly thought that he could have done better, but if his niece was happy.  That was all that mattered. 

“Now, these won’t last all day, okay.  I don’t think your hair is long enough to leave the braids in like the others.  If they start to get loose, come and find me to fix it.  Utre’la?” (Means alright or clear.)

“Ultre’la.” Tally nodded.

Cody doubted that the braids would last for very long.  Not with how the kids played, it would be a miracle if they stayed for the rest of the day.  Plus, Tally’s hair really wasn’t long enough for tight braids. Aurora, Neo, and Ulh’ta all had hair similar to him and his vods, and it could hold tight braids.  While most of Tally’s hair had been chopped off during her surgery. It was starting to grow back, but at a snail’s pace.  He had tried to explain that to her when she asked him about putting braids in her hair....... but her pleading eyes broke down any resistance he had. So, this old clone soldier dug out his styling tools and attempted to make his ad'ika happy. (niece, nephew, child, etc.) Maybe Rex was right, and he had grown soft.

“May I go play in the yard now? Geedet’te Ba’vod Kote.” Tally chimed. (Please, uncle Cody.)

“You may.” He sighed.  “But be careful and no climbing things.”

“Okay.” She chirped while trying to wiggle out of his grip.

“Especially trees.”

“I won’t.”

“And no hitting the other kids.”

“Shi meh val nynir ni sol'yc” (Only if they hit me first.)

“Tal’ika.”

“I promise I won’t.” Tally giggled before running off.  Metal feet clanged against the floors as she ran.  Pausing momentarily at the doorframe before turning back to face him, “kar’taylir darasuum, Ba’vod Kote.” (Love you, Uncle Cody.) And with that, she was off.

Cody signed and went to pick up his tools.  “Kar'taylir darasuum gar too ad'ika.” (Love you too, little one.)

Apologies for no doodles or drawings. I attempted so many different ideas, but drawing.exe in my brain just wasn't working. So I went with a short story instead.

What is the funniest part? She could arrange that! But instead of suffocating herself underground she wanted to try again...

And she did! She hit you up properly...

She became friends with you easily (or with some difficulties but come on, how can you NOT let in such precious girl like her!!)

And she pins over you, as she feels, for hundreds of years. Oh how she yearns...

You might have your own reasons for not approaching her first even though having some sort of idea. Like...not being sure? Not wanting to draw conclusions, or eventually just being afraid of making first move even though it would be the safest dive for it you could ever imagine.

Something was stopping you, and Tali thought she was SLICK--

Nuh-uh, honey, you were anything BUT sneaky about it.

She slipped once, you acted like you did not catch into her intentions for her own good...

Then she does again and she loses faith in herself and in the fact that you might hold ANY kind of bigger feelings towards her.

But her wondering made her go insane, slowly but surely, and she got adviced smartly:

At first I thought it would be Yasuo saying that, her master, but maybe that were Ekko's words? It fits his wisdom and experience.

Going back to main topic-

Advice was smart, and Taliyah was also smart, she decided...'yeah, he was right. Maybe I should go and do that!'

"...but maybe tommorow."

She had inner war going in her head that went: "I think I chickened out" thought VS "It's best I take proper care of myself and then try to confess".

Thankfully she did not wait for longer, just really did her hair neatly, made sure she's nice and clean and ready to go! She had little speech made up in her mind too

She did cute little speech of how she adores you. I would love to add how it went but it would be really dependant on your characteristics like looks and personality, but she finishes with:

"Throughout everything I kept on thinking of you and loving you! Loving you so much I've got too much restless nights to think my words through. And...phew- I really hope that even if you hypothetically wouldn't return my feelings, that...well...that we could stay friends. Is that possible, maybe...?"

Of course it was! Taliyah is such a sweet girl, gentle soul, why wouldn't anyone at least stay friends with her?

But in this scenario you love her back so!!

You accept, and you can see that little sparkle in her eye, and the transition from shy to very happy!!

She hugs you very tightly and thanks you over and over again. What for? You don't have the heart to ask her, but thankfully she answers for herself

"Thank you for loving me, I wouldn't ever...imagine that, but that's such a happy ending for the situation! Could I maybe...call myself your girlfriend now?"

The answer was yes, she could indeed!

Dating Taliyah left you entertained, and even more importantly, left you feeling loved. Very loved.

Ever since day one she wasn't afraid to grab your hand and hold it, or hug you, or at least kiss your cheek, but she always made sure that you were okay with that.

If you wanted to take things slow, she would stood down for you.

What was great about Taliyah is the fact that even if you wouldn't speak up for yourself about being uncomfortable she would notice. She knows you well enough, after all. You didn't go from strangers to lovers, you were friends before.

So no matter what kind of pace you want, Taliyah makes dating her the best experience you've ever had.

She does a lot of thoughtful surprises, like waiting for you with relaxing hangout including massages, soft talks in a candlelight...you'd always say she's pampering you, but trust me when I say (and also she says so herself) that she enjoys herself while sharing such intimate moment with you too.

She would call it her favourite kind of dates, actually.

She prefers more casual dates than very official ones, but she would take you out if you wanted. Just not as often as you'd think. Maybe out of special events like your future anniversaries, your birthday, any other special event you'd think of as special.

Very enjoys PDA, if you're against it you have to speak up pretty early about it.

She doesn't want to show it not to guilttrip you even on accident, but she gets pouty when she cannot even touch you.

Kisses your hands and nose the most, enjoys eskimo kisses too! She kisses you on the lips only after you've shared your special first kiss together!

She once asked you not to bring her flowers because she can't take care of them no matter how hard she had tried, yet is the one to buy you flowers or flower bouquet. She's totally the type to keep one flower in a vase beside her bed to keep in check how your flowers are doing. Is always too early with a fresh batch because her flower dies faster than your actual bouquet. You could say that she keeps you in stock of flower bouquets, by pure accident.

She travels a lot, and really hopes that you would travel with her. If you wouldn't, on the other hand, she would respect your decision and would do anything to get back to you as soon as she could.

She wants to marry you one day, and has high hopes that you'd agree to marry her in the future. Yet as always, she will respect your choices no matter what they are. She wants to marry, sure, but if that's something you're against, she wants you more than that tradition.

No relationship is perfect and you have conflicts between you. But...Taliyah makes it impossible to call it a fight. Yes, she does lose her temper sometimes, but she never said something that might've hurt you real bad. The most offensive thing she said was once "Well you're stupid to think so!" Because you felt jealous and it went kind of downhill

She even apologises for it because she considers you very smart but she felt like you did not trust her in your relationship and love that she devoted for you and you only.

She talks a lot, and I mean A LOT. She has no idea there is such a thing as comfortable silence, she just fills room up with her bubble talk!

So when you need peace and quiet you have to tell her, she'd understand.

Why You Should Vote For Taliyah In The Pink Mahou Poll

For those who weren't there to put up with my incessant Star Guardian posting during the Star Guardian event of 2022, Taliyah is a League of Legends character who has a skin in the Star Guardian skin line, which is a magical girl au. Regular Taliyah and Star Guardian Taliyah are characters in different universes, but regular Taliyah is the base character so context about her is important!

Taliyah was released in 2016, and she was a unique addition to the champion roster as one of the very few female characters to have distinct facial features. She's a mage with the title of 'stoneweaver' as her powers allow her to essentially be an earthbender (to my understanding, I've never watched ATLA) and she makes rocky waves which she surfs along! She's a kind and caring person who values community and protecting those you call family. She's a teenager in the game and her lore on release, but by the time of the most recent story she's been in, she's in her early twenties.

The writers and artists at Riot who designed Taliyah originally intended for her to be trans. But this was before Riot started allowing their characters to be canonically queer (they've got a handful of gay champs now but still no trans champions), so it did not happen. Since then, there's been a lot of little hints here and there for queer people to pick up on, and she feels very trans coded.

Which Brings me to Star Guardian Taliyah! Star Guardians are a skin line in the game that was popular enough to get some story content.

I have a long comprehensive guide to Star Guardian media here that I made during the most recent Star Guardian event! Read it if you might have an interest in Star Guardians, but it's not needed to appreciate Taliyah.

Taliyah in this universe is a teenage magical girl who is shy and meek at school, but when transformed she finds confidence within herself. She feels more like herself in her magical outfit than she does without it, and her storyline is about finding how to discover and express her true self.

She's also a nerd who likes going to maid cafes and is a very competitive gamer!

During the event, Riot released a playlist in collaboration with various artists, with Star Guardian Taliyah being the face of it. Put it on in the background sometime if you like chill, cute study music and that sort of stuff. More Importantly, Taliyah is animated through the whole video (along with Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks) and she does a cute little dance. Please look at her dance.

After yet another night where Azir weeps himself to sleep and screams himself awake, his retinue gather to the side and talk for a while.

The next morning, Nasus and Taliyah ride to a nearby town for supplies. Azir doesn’t think much of it, listening to Akshan and Samira talk, watching them train with Sivir, and preening with the utmost care.

But when they come back, they procure him a holed box where something twitches and coos.

“A surprise, my lord.”

Azir doesn’t like surprises, but he wants to be nice to Nasus, and it feels imperial to receive gifts. So he opens the box and…

“What… is this?”

It’s a Poro, of course. One of the softest he’s ever seen, with eyes that gleam like molten gold and a fur that makes his own recovering feathers look coarse.

“I purchased her at a nearby market. She’ll bring you comfort and stay with you when you’re alone. A pet can do great things for the upset mind.”

Azir holds his new friend to his chest, stroking her. Even Sivir looks warmed up by the cute face of the creature, the feel of its fur… just how soothing embracing her is.

“Nasus, I… thank you. What’s her name?”

“You must give it to her, my lord.”

He strokes her once, feeling her warmth.

I can’t have a pet. If Xerath takes her I’ll have more blood on my hands, and I cannot lose more dear ones. I must handle my night terrors on my own.

Yet he doesn’t let go, and she licks his fingers sociably. Nasus specifically requested a vivacious, easily attachable Poro.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER?

When it comes to having an OTP for Kai’sa, I’m more biased when it comes to the KDA verse, especially with Kaikali (I still love shipping polycule though). That’s where my interest in League really started.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

It really depends on which verse I’m shipping her with others since they’re all different and her age fluctuates, like she’s canonically at least twenty-years old whereabouts she’s at least in her mid-twenties in the KDA verse and a teenager in Star Guardian which, I should remind you, I’m not shipping her with any adult characters in that verse.

Generally, it really depends on the character especially if I'm going to take immortal beings to account because there are plenty of them running around in league, including characters that ages differently; it all depends if there's chemistry because that's always the key to a good ship. And this should be an obvious, but I'm not going to romantically ship Kai'sa with minors and immortal characters that acts and/or looks like a child.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

Obviously, when things goes beyond kissing and light touches and clothes are starting to come off, though, I don’t do NSFW RP much anymore, but I’m all right with it when it comes to answering suggestive asks sent by mutuals. If I were to ever go back to writing NSFW content with my partner, it’ll be thrown under “read more” or continue on Discord. Or fade-to-black.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

For Kai'sa, yes, she isn't going to be an easy character to ship with especially with how isolated she had been over the years and tends to avoid others. She's not going to jump at anyone at any given moment nor is romance the focus on this blog, but ships that aren't romantic? I'm all for it too, but the saying is the same.

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?

Outside of the Kaikali and the KDA verse, well, I think Kai’sa and Sivir is cute. And Kai’sa with Taliyah. And Samira thanks to that one artist.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?

Normally, yes. While shipping can occur naturally when chemistry between two characters clicks, it's not always going to be the same for the next ship. It's better to ask than to assume.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?

I’m still part of the Avatar fandom and it’s my main fandom, but I really like Baatar and Kuvira and Korra and Kuvira and—basically, Kuvira with everyone because she got two hands, two legs, two cheeks, and a mole.

But ships within League outside of Kai'sa? I like Ahrilynn, immortal girlfriends? Yes, please. I also like CaitVi too. Admittedly, there aren't many ships within League that I'm interested in.

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?

Like I said before, ask me. Even if there isn't chemistry between our characters, but you still want to explore the dynamics between them, I'll be happy to discuss it further. I'm honestly pretty chill when it comes to shipping, and I should add that I'm all right with crossover and oc ships too.

The routinely errand was interrupted by something completely out of the ordinary; a cubic stone, seeming animated and alive, roused by her activity. For a second Taliyah was scared, until she noticed the gentle eyes staring into hers. Fear was replaced by adoration. How incredible was this creature, and how lucky was she to meet it! The cube poro doesn't seem to grasp why she is sorry; has not disturbed anything. Honestly, it doesn't get many visitors up here. Most rock poros are either digging the quarry or sleeping under the sun; do not do much else. Are not dynamic like their northern, snowy cousins.

But that was all in the background; this human clearly was not a threat to a rock poro, so snuggles were given. As were chitters and paw wiggles. Are very stiff though; clearly, rock poros had an accent. But it seems mostly curious why she is here; is pretty high up, and also not much is here beyond the rock poros. Who might be the voices she may have been hearing under the earth.

“It was a bar fight, unfortunately!” Bastian said with a shrug. He’d gotten a bit drunk and mouthed off, one particular night. “You should see this one, though!” He said, standing up and pulling his shirt up to show his scarred abdomen. “I got that one fighting a wolf!” 

Some childish part of him hoped he was at least entertaining, if not impressive. Once he sat himself back down he pulled his hair back into a top knot, so he could show the scar on his neck. “This one too.”
