ౚৎ first clip
“whereee is nanamiiii?” you whine, filming yourself as you walk around the set, trying to find your favourite cast member. you walk through a door. “nanamiii-oh there he is..”
you look surprised and then you tell the camera, “shhhh..nanami is asleep..”
you tiptoe towards where he lays passed out on a couch with his costume goggles right beside him. you turn the camera around to face nanami, his mouth agape as little snores passed through.
“awwww.. he looks so cute..”
you put the camera close to his face, making nanami look funny. “haha..i’m so keeping this-”
nanami snorts suddenly and shifts in a rapid movement, shocking you and making you drop your phone on his poor face.
“ahh!” you cry. fumbling ensues before you get your camera upright again, pointing it at a now awake, disappointed looking nanami, sitting up on the couch as he stares at you blankly. his hair is messy, tie askew and his eyes tired.
“sorry nanami
did i wake you??”
“
”
“
”
nanami sighs and rubs his eyes. “i don’t know _____. did you barge in here, record me and drop your phone on my face?”
“
oops?”
nanami stares at you some more and then you pat his head in apology.
“sorry, nanamin
”
he sighs again. “why are you like this
”
ౚৎ second clip
the paparazzi secretly filmed you and nanami exiting a store (which they had followed you both to). now of course, fans criticised said paparazzi, but after seeing the video themselves
they couldn’t be all that sad about it.
you and nanami walk out of the automatic doors, arms linked and nanami carries the shopping bag.
you’re eating your little treat, strolling with nanami to the sidewalk when he points to your shoes, noticing that your laces are undone.
he speaks and you just shrug, continuing to eat, uncaring of your unlaced shoes that are a hazard.
nanami has you hold the grocery bag temporarily and then kneels down and ties your laces securely, all the while you chew on your food and smile down at him.
he stands up and takes the bag from you to carry once more. you inaudibly talk before linking arms with him again and resting your head on his shoulder while you both walk away.
ౚৎ third clip
the director yells cut and you are immediately running towards nanami and throwing your arms around his shirtless waist, careful to avoid the very intricate, realistic body paint covering half of his body.
“nanami! please don’t dieeeee!” you cry, looking up at him, “who’s going to be my emotional support actor?”
nanami huffs and pats your back, “_____
i won’t disappear..i’ll still be on the set
”
“it’s not the same!” you grumble into his chest. “it’s like you died for real!”
“no it’s not. i’ll visit everyday until this series ends.”
“really?” you look up at him, eyes glossy, “you better not be lying. promise?”
“yes, i promise.” he sighs fondly.
“okay..”
still hugging him, you turn to look at the camera and blatantly check out his shredded torso and thick, strong arms. nanami just stands there, confused.
you rest your head on one of his pecs, looking at the camera and smiling. “i get to do this everyday, you know.”
nanami scoffs and shakes his head at you. you are unbelievable.
ౚৎ fourth clip
you and the a few members of the cast of jujutsu kaisen had agreed to play a game of “silent library”for charity and nanami had agreed to play too, which shocked both the cast and the fans considering nanami rarely participated in games like this.
nanami has struck luck so far but it runs out on the sixth round.
the cards are handed out and suspense rises when you all quickly flip them over.
you groan out loud before slapping a hand over your mouth when you see that you’ve received the death card.
looking around, you notice that nanami and gojo also share the same card, and you point at them confused, while the members who are safe sigh in relief and thank god.
nanami closes his eyes and gojo slumps in his chair dramatically, making a weak noise in his mouth. you snort. you’re quickly hushed.
the name of the game is presented, “suck and blow”, and poorly stifled chuckles ring around the room. you rub your eyes, already dreading what’s about to come.
gojo eyes you, making a come hither motion with his long finger and swear at him silently. nanami is silent and looks between the two of you blankly.
the aim of the game? all three players must pass plastic card between them with only their lips.
your head falls onto the table, gojo is grinning and nanami is, as always, sighing.
the three of you sit on stools, with yourself insisting on being in the middle.
“i could’ve sworn i’ve had a dream just like this
” gojo whispers and nanami is leaning all the way around to smack the back of his head. gojo gasps and utahime scolds at him to shut his mouth.
the plastic card is given to gojo and the timer begins. he sucks it to his lips, cheeks hollow and he looked very stupid. gojo grabs your head and presses the card to your lips, making it seem like you are both kissing. you grunt and begin smacking the side of his face. suppressed laughter can be heard around you as you forcefully pull away from gojo.
you purse your lips, holding the plastic card on them as best as you can and turning to face nanami. he leans in, ready to get this over with.
it happened so fast.
nanami’s face is close to yours as you move to transfer the plastic card to his lips..and then the card falls.
it falls and you’re kissing nanami for half a second.
you gasp and pull back, embarrassed and covering your face.
you hear a squeal, a loud gasp and shocked laughter as you drown in shame. nanami sits there, fiddling, not knowing what to do with his hands and his face is clearly pink.
gojo teases you both to no end and the timer is already up.
it’s safe to say you all lost that round.
ౚৎ fifth clip
nanami is forced to go on a talk show (as he claims his manager made him do it ).
his responses are perfect and polite - nanami clearly has some sort of media training or an upper class background of some sort. it’s like nothing could catch him off guard whatsoever.
nanami is talking and then, the host interrupts. “are you and _____ dating?”
the audience chuckles and nanami is caught off guard. “wh-what?” nanami breathes out, a blush rising from his neck to his cheeks. “what?”
“are you and _____ dating?”
“no
” nanami clears his throat, gulping, “no of course not
”
“what do you mean “of course not?” do you not like _____?”
“what? of course i like-” nanami cuts himself off with a deep sigh and the crowd laughs at his embarrassment and fluster. “_____
_____ is a lovely woman, she’s a respected colleague, a valued friend, she’s-”
“well since you like her so much, let’s bring her out!” the host flings his arm out in the direction of the entrance stairway, “give a warm welcome to _____!”
“?”
the crowd is screaming as you walk in, waving at them with a warm smile on your face and sit next to nanami.
nanami looks at you, face red. “i-”
“don’t let him stop you.” you say, referring to the host’s interruption and the cheers erupting from the sea of people. “keep talking about me!”
nanami sighs. “shit
”
ౚৎ sixth clip
you’re being interviewed on the red carpet by a boisterous, joyful middle aged lady who asks you many questions, one of them being, “fuck, marry, kill”.
“okay fuck, marry, kill with getou suguru, nanami kento and gojo sa-”
“easy,” you cut in, not even hearing the rest of the question, “fuck getou, marry nanami and kill gojo. easiest question i’ve had so far!”
on the other end of the carpet, nanami is being asked the same questions except with actresses, one of them being you.
“fuck marry kill - utahime iori, _____ or shoko ieiri?!”
“marry _____, fuck utahime and kill shoko. goodnight.” he abruptly walks away, not even waiting for the interviewer to respond and leaves them flabbergasted.

4 years later..
You pull Megumi’s hat over his ears to protect them from the cold and squeeze his body closer in your arms. “My mom can’t watch him today, she’s got a doctor's appointment. Shoko and Geto are working right now, too! I promise he won’t cause any trouble. He can sit in a booth while I’m working. Pleeeease, Nanami! You know he’s a good kid!” You beg your boss. He looks down at you and your son, contemplating which rules this would violate.
It’s Gojo who comes to your defense.
“Come on Nanamiiii, I can help her keep an eye on him! You won’t have any problems, my Megumi is the sweetest little thing, aren’t you baby? Aren’t you?” He leans over to squeeze Megumi’s cheek until Megumi turns his head into your chest to escape Gojo’s teasing.
Gojo had taken up working at the diner with you after he dropped out of college on account of, “My family has enough money for me to never have to work again. Why would I waste it in college when I can spend my youth working a minimum wage job for fun?”
You and Shoko had punched him in the face for that one.
“Any disruptions to the customers and you’ll have to figure something else out, Y/N. This is a one time thing. Gojo, don’t let the kid be a distraction to you. You need to stop forgetting you have tables all the time.” You smile and give Gojo a victory high five. “Are you excited to spend the day with mama, Megumi?”
Megumi had turned four a couple of weeks ago. You two now lived in your own modest apartment. It was close to your mother’s house and your job. Usually your mother would keep Megumi for you during work hours, and when that wasn’t available Gojo, Geto, or Shoko would help you out. With all four contenders busy, there was no choice but for you to bring Megumi with you to work. Babysitters and daycare were out of the question on your salary of shitty tips. You could barely afford the apartment. The only way you could get furniture into it was on a loan from Gojo (which he refused to let you pay back).
You, Nanami and Gojo walk into the back of the building through the kitchen to punch in. “Our little Megumi’s gonna be joining us today!” Gojo announces to the kitchen staff, mainly comprised of high school students and Hakari. You hear various coos as you walk Megumi through the kitchen. “Can you say ‘hi,’ baby?” You whisper to Megumi through his knitted hat.
He pulls his face from the interior of your sweater and meekly waves to the staff, who all burst into bright smiles. There had been a few times your mother had brought Gumi to the diner to see you during hours, meaning the staff had not only heard of, but had seen Megumi around quite a bit.
Megumi, unlike his father, was incredibly shy and quiet even for his young age. He was one of the best babies you could ever ask for. He cried of course, even had a nasty case of colic when he was little, but on average he cried far less than a normal kid. For a while you were concerned, bringing him to every doctor your insurance would allow to get second opinion after second opinion. Their conclusion? It’s just his personality.
"It seems like he cried all his tears out during his first couple of weeks!" One doctor had joked. Yeah, so had you.
Every time you looked at Megumi, you saw Toji. Their resemblance was undeniable. Sometimes it felt as if he hadn’t inherited a single genetic trait from you. Some days, it made you more sad than others. You hadn’t seen any baby pictures of Toji, didn’t think his family even owned any, but if you had to guess, Megumi had to be the spitting image. You’d see old classmates you hadn’t talked to in years only for them to comment on how much they resembled each other. Not knowing about you and Toji's dramatic breakup.
You and Gojo punch in and take off your coats to hang them up on the rack. Yuki, one of your newer coworkers, bursts through the door with a few empty water glasses. “Agh, thank god you two are here!” She exclaims, setting them down by the sink. “I’ve got this table of guys that are driving me batshit. The kitchen guys don’t get it. I need a freakin’ break.”
You giggle at her and take off Megumi’s hat from where you’re holding him on your hip. “I can take the next one!” You hang up Megumi’s hat next to your coat. “Just let me get him situated.” Yuki gasps and runs over to you. “Hi Megumi! I’ve heard so much about you! It’s nice to meet you, I’m Yuki! Oh my god, Y/N he’s so freakin’ cute!” She exclaims.
Gojo and Yuki get to talking shit about her table while you walk out onto the floor to choose a booth for Megumi to sit. You choose the one furthest from the door and closest to the kitchen and set him down on a side where you’ll be able to see him clearly for the majority of your shift. “Okay Gumi, I’m gonna be working but I’m gonna come over and check on you a lot too, okay?” You set your bag next to him and pull out a few toys and a coloring book. “I’ll get the kitchen guys to sneak you some food, okay?” He nods and grabs a blue crayon from his half empty box. “Okay, mama.” He replies in the sweetest voice you've ever heard.
You give him a kiss on his forehead and move a piece of his hair behind his ear before moving to the other side of the booth and adjusting your waist apron. “Y/N, you got table three.” Yuki announced. You looked behind you to see Gojo and Yuki approaching Megumi’s table. “Megumiiiii! What are you coloring?” Gojo slid into the seat next to Megumi and his toys.
“How many?” You asked Yuki. “Just two.” She responded, “The one guy’s hot, maybe you could get laid tonight.” You scoffed. “First of all, don’t say shit like that on the floor when we have customers who may hear you.” You give her a pointed look, “secondly, you’re too young to be talking about intercourse. You’re like twelve.” You smile at her and turn around to go greet your table.
“I’m literally 18!” Yuki exclaims as you walk away.
“Exactly the point!” Gojo responds for you.
You pull out your server book as you approach your table and click your pen. “Hi, I’m Y/N, welcome to-” when you look up, you freeze.
First, you see Jinichi, Toji’s brother. When your eyes move over to the other side of the booth, you see him in the flesh for the first time in five years.
He’s looking down at the table, so you can’t see his face, but from his build alone you can see he’s almost doubled in muscle mass since you last saw him. His hair is longer, bangs falling over his eyes, and he sports a black muscle tee to show off how much he has bulked up over the years. He's intentionally avoiding your gaze.
All the feelings you’ve felt over these five years, anger, rage, resentment, loss, pain, sadness. They all come rushing back at once. Five years of wondering what he was up to while you stayed up with Megumi as a newborn when he had colic and wouldn’t stop crying for almost a month straight. As you operated on auto pilot and almost cried when you saw him smile again. As you cared for him through his first flu, which you had eventually caught too. Rushing him to the hospital for a slight rise in temperature as your mother convinced you over the phone that everything would be okay and you sobbed hysterically. When Megumi took his first steps, when he said his first word. You always thought of Toji.
How would he have reacted? You may not have trusted him, but you don’t think he’d be a particularly bad father if he were to put in the effort. Every time Megumi smiles, every time he frowns, it looks like Toji has walked right back into your life. When you two talked about kids, it was never very serious. You always talked about the idyllic. How many you’d have, what their names would be, if you’d move out to the countryside so they’d have space to play. You never discussed how you wanted to raise them, how you two would afford it, if Toji would stop dealing.
“Well, well, fucking well!” Jinichi starts. “This is just fucking hilarious!” You can see Toji tense up where his elbows rest on the table. Jinichi leaned back in his seat looking back and forth between you and Toji. “High school fucking sweethearts! Look at this shit, Toji, that's your girl right there! Hey Y/N-” Before Jinichi can finish his sentence, Toji bangs his hands on the table, making the condiment bottles rattle loudly, and bringing the entire restaurant's attention towards the three of you. Toji mumbles something under his breath that you can’t pick up. You’re still physically frozen in place.
Jinichi had always been an asshole. Toji didn’t like you to go over to his house for multiple reasons relating to his family, but one of the major ones was because of his brother. Jinichi always had a smart mouth. Liked to put dumb ideas in Toji’s head, one of which was the one that eventually got him shot and bleeding out on your bedsheets.
“Ahh, come on little brother. You’re so intense nowadays. We’re here for a good ol-”
“We’re here for fucking business, Jinichi. Shut the fuck up. We don’t want nothin’.” Toji says, finally addressing you without even looking your way. You feel someone grab onto your shoulder and quickly turn to see Gojo. He gently pulls you away from the table.
“I- I didn’t-” you begin, before Gojo can even get you five feet from the table, Jinichi is back at it. “Hey, what the hell, don’t take my waitress! I ain’t ordered nothin’ yet! Hey Y/N, you look good by the way! Usually girls get ugly after they have babies!”
It’s so sudden and quick that if you weren’t five steps away, you wouldn’t have seen it at all. Toji leans over the table, somehow calmly and aggressively at the same time, to grab his brother by the collar of his shirt. “That’s enough. Don’t make me fucking tell you again.” He says, his tone quiet and deadly.
All you can think about is Megumi, where the fuck is Megumi? He’s your priority right now. Your head whips toward Megumi’s table, where you see Yuki with her hand on Megumi’s shoulder as he watches you intensely.
“Fuck. Gumi.” You whisper to yourself.
You pull away from Gojo’s grasp to race toward your son. “Mama..” he whispers as you reach him and pull him tightly into a hug. “It’s okay honey. Don’t worry about it.” You firmly grasp the back of his neck to ground yourself. This is exactly why you had said all those things you said to Toji all those years ago. You didn’t want your child growing up in an unstable environment. You didn’t want Toji’s issues to be a cause of stress for yourself or for Megumi. It'd be slightly different if these were two random guys in the diner. Sure, you'd shield Megumi if it got intense, but the fact that one was his father made the hair on the back of your neck stand up at the slightest movement.
“You look sad mama. Did the big men hurt you?” You laugh at his innocence. “No, baby. They didn’t hurt me.” They did hurt you. In a deep emotional way that you didn’t feel like explaining to a four year old right now. “Let's go honey, little kids shouldn’t see this.”
“I’m a little kid, right?” He asks. “Yes, you are.”
“What the hell is going on?” You hear a booming voice come from the kitchen door and see Nanami walking towards Toji’s table. “Nothings going on!” Jinichi yells. “You know how the little brothers are, always got a goddamned inferiority complex goin’ on or somethin’!” Toji still has a grasp on his shirt as Jinichi is yelling at Nanami.
“I’m going to have to ask you two to leave.” Nanami says calmly. “I ain’t fucking leaving. I came here for some fuckin’ service from my brother’s old-” Suddenly, Jinichi’s head is being slammed onto the table, and a collective gasp is aroused from the restauraunt.
“Come, Gumi.” You pick him up in your arms. “Yuki, can you pack his stuff up for me please?” You ask as you contemplate your next move. “Of course, of course.” You can’t head to the front or kitchen door without Gumi potentially seeing more violence. You would have to rush past in the hopes that nothing else happens while you’re moving by. The kitchen door is closer from here, less potential for Megumi to see anything.
“Ok, Gumi. Can you close your eyes for me real quick, baby?” You ask, rubbing his back. “Ok, mama.” You move Megumi so that his face is pressed to your chest and book it toward the kitchen door. You hear more commotion as you pass by, but will yourself not to turn around and check. Gojo and Yuki follow you in from behind with your bag. When you’re in the kitchen, you’re quick to set Megumi on the ground to grab his hat and secure it on his head.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N, I never would’ve given you that table if I knew.” She apologizes as she hands you your bag. You laugh. “It’s not your fault Yuki. By the way, remember what I said about no intercourse? You wanna implement that policy because of fuckers like him-” “Mama!” Megumi chastises. “Sorry, bad word.” Yuki lets out a relieved sigh.
“I didn’t even see them walk in, Y/N-” Gojo starts. “Oh my gosh guys, it's not a big deal! Seriously, I’m just worried about Gumi seeing anything.” Even as you say this, your hands shake as you attempt to zip up Megumi’s coat. Gojo gives you a knowing look and grabs your own coat off the rack for you.
“I just, um, need a little break. I can’t afford to lose out on the money tonight.” You say, grabbing your coat from him and sliding it on. “I’ll cover you-” Gojo starts, but you interrupt. “I’m not taking money from your family, Gojo!” You pick up Megumi and hold him on your hip. “I’m not saying that. I’ll split the tips from tonight with you. My apology for not seeing them before.”
“No, Gojo.”
Nanami walks in the kitchen door. “Take the day off,” he says to you before walking back to his office. “No, Nanami I’m ok I’ll just take him to my mom’s really quick-”
“You’re too shaken up to do anything else today. I’ll schedule you more next week to make up for it.” Nanami supplies. “Thank you.” You say, silently relieved. Was your distress seriously that obvious? You would have to tone it down in front of Gumi.
“Wooow Nanami you’re such a good manager-”
“Can it Gojo, you’re gonna have to pick up the slack tonight.”
You’re already making your way out the back of the building when Gojo responds with a whine.
“Hey what the hells going on out there?” Hakari asks as you walk by. “Some bullshit.” You respond. “Mama!”
You weren’t even in the building for thirty minutes today, but it feels thirty degrees cooler when you walk out. The trek to the bus stop is gonna suck.
It's a ten minute walk from the diner to the bus stop. You cling onto Megumi for warmth, making sure he's buried not only in his own coat, but in yours. When you get to the bus stop, you realize it’s gonna be another fifteen minutes before the bus comes. Megumi isn’t one to complain, but you can feel him shivering under you. “Just a little longer baby.” You soothe him, rapidly rubbing his back and arms in an attempt to warm him.
It must be some sick joke for an old pickup truck to pull right in front of the bus stop and roll its window down.
“Do you need a ride?” Toji asks.
You've gotta be fucking kidding.

Orc!Nanami
would be that man who gives you his jacket to cover your knees when you're sitting down in a short skirt.
He would be the guy who holds you close to him when you're in a crowded space, using his larger body to shield you from the surrounding throngs.
He would be the orc who would drop you home despite how late it is and refuse any protests. "you need to get home safely. I will make sure you do, miss."
And when you kiss him on the cheek to thank him he would be the guy who blushes immediately, going red after feeling your soft lips on his skin so unexpectedly.
ORC NANAMIIII !!!!!!!!!!!!

A snippet from my Gojo x reader enemies to lovers slowburn fic on AO3! Somewhat canon-compliant, I'm just here for the tension and drama. - context: Reader(you) is Nanami’s twin sister, a jujutsu sorcerer who has been practicing reverse cursed technique. Gojo gets injured (fic is somewhat canon-compliant) and asks you to heal him. - wc: 3.8k

November 2011
[
] you decided to do what you normally did when you had a free moment; bother Shoko.
You were disappointed to find that she wasn’t in her office when you’d reached the basement, which was odd. You hardly ever saw her above ground. In fact, it seemed that you were completely alone down there, until-
“Nanamiiiis,” Gojo called out. “I need your help with something.”
You started at the sudden timbre of his voice. How did he even know it was you? The primary explanation that came to mind was that he was fucking with you. Gojo didn’t need help, ever. But you had never been one to leave well enough alone. Fueled by a tickle of intrigue, you found yourself taking off down the hall until you found him.
You walked into one of the many small rooms in the school’s infirmary to see Gojo perched on a tissue-papered exam table. He held a blood-soaked cloth to his bare chest, just above his heart. The sight of his shirtless torso sent your pulse jumping and your face aflame with the blush you’d never seemed to grow out of. You couldn’t help but stare. The broad nature of his shoulders was more marked without a shirt to cover them. You drank in the slight curve of his waist, glimpsing the dark waistband of his briefs just barely peeking out above his pants.
And then he glanced up at you, bright blue eyes completely exposed and boring into your own.
Fuck, he could be intense when he wanted to be.
“Come here,” he said, curling the index finger of his free hand. “Don’t be shy.”
Normally, a comment like that would’ve earned him one of your signature scowls, but you were too busy trying to stop the melodramatic pounding in your chest. An attempt was made to tear your eyes away from his body. There was now absolutely zero doubt in your mind that he’d grown into his stature since you’d left Tokyo two years ago. He’d always been handsome, a fact that used to be overshadowed by your blatant dislike of his person. But it was in a different way now that he was older and had become a young man. You felt yourself swallow upon directing you gaze to the delicate curve of his clavicle. As for the rest of him
well, they didn’t call him “the strongest” for nothing.
You gathered every drop of courage you could muster and forced yourself to calmly stride over to him. It was likely that he could sense your anxiety and even more so that he was aware of what he was doing. But you were determined to hold your ground, even if your instincts were screaming at you to run out of the room until you were up into the mountains that surrounded the school.
Never before had you seen Gojo injured. As far as you knew, it was impossible given the Infinity that prevented anything to come in contact with him. Questions plagued your mind: what had happened? What or who was powerful enough to break through his shield? And most importantly, what did he need you for?
You stopped about three foot to his left, not wanting to close the space any further. There was a lot of blood saturating the cloth in his hand and even more smeared on his alabaster skin. Had you not known better, the delicate appearance of his complexion would’ve given the impression of vulnerability. But you could always feel the hum of his power and the intensity of his cursed energy. Where you had a well of it, Gojo held oceans. Nothing about him was weak, or delicate.
“How has your reversed technique training been going?” He asked, cocking his head to the side.
You were taken aback, completely surprised by the inquiry. Given past interactions regarding your venture with reversal technique, you were under the impression that he couldn’t give less of a shit about it. You also hadn’t yet ruled out the possibility that he was toying with you, so you kept your guard up.
“It- um,” you stammered. “Fine. Why?”
That wasn’t necessarily true, but you figured the less he knew the better. In truth, your successes had been far and few. The first year spent in New York City, you’d studied reversed technique almost exclusively. But, just as Shoko had told you several years before, your success had been limited to shallow wounds. Even then, you could count on one hand the number of times it had worked since you’d embarked on that quest.
“Show me,” Gojo instructed with uncharacteristic gentleness.
You sent him an incredulous glance. Were you hearing him right, or was his lack of clothing hindering your cognitive function?
“Y-you want me to..?”
He nodded, already reaching out for your hand to place it on the cloth he held. You pulled back quickly, as though you’d touched an open flame.
Gojo raised his free hand in question, clearly stunned and annoyed by your flinching. “What?”
“Um, I need gloves!” You exclaimed. “Are you out of your mind?”
“What?” He repeated. “I don’t have anything.”
You let out a sharp sigh through your nose. “It’s literally basic medical practice, you nasty bitch.”
There was a small sink attached to the wall on the other side of the room. You took your time washing and drying your hands, trying to relax despite your growing anxiety. Boxes of gloves sat in wall-mounted holders that just so happened to be on the other side of where Gojo was situated. The head of the exam table was flush against the wall, which gave you about a foot of room to squeeze through to get to them. You maneuvered around his long legs, waiting for him to move so you could reach past without touching him, but he remained planted in the same spot.
“Um, I just gotta..” You trailed off, trying to ignore the sweat that was beginning to gather on your palms despite just having dried them.
He said nothing, only watching you with intent and likely enjoying how flustered you were clearly becoming. You raised up on the tips of your toes to reach for a set of blue nitrile gloves, hauntingly aware of how the hem of your shirt lifted when you did so. You also felt your hip brush against his leg and had to stop yourself from jolting out of your skin right there.
To your embarrassment, tugging the gloves on proved to be slightly difficult due to the clamminess of your hands. Each second that passed was painstakingly long beneath Gojo’s scrutiny, but you eventually managed to get them on and retook your position on the other side of him.
He dropped the hand holding the makeshift gauze as you took it from his grasp. You carefully pulled the blood-soaked fabric away from his skin to reveal the shredded flesh underneath. Your heart lurched at the sight of it, sending a small wave of nausea through your head. The smell of his blood filled your nose, mixed with something darker, something foul. A memory tickled at the back of your mind, until it surfaced with full-fledged alarm.
“Poison.” You blurted out.
Gojo hummed in confirmation. “It shouldn’t have happened, but it did.”
His voice held no ounce of shame, stating it as a matter of fact, but he also gave no indication that was going to elaborate. How long had he been like this? Didn’t it hurt? Why didn’t he just heal it himself? You had so many questions lately, and despite your endless patience, it appeared that none of them were ever going to receive an answer.
You discarded the ruined cloth onto a small metal table by the bed. You drenched a clean pad of sterile gauze in antiseptic to scrub the blood from his chest. He was watching you closely as you worked, giving no indication that you might’ve been hurting him. You tried to be as gentle as you could until most of his skin was clean.
You paused. What would he say if it didn’t work? A small part of you weighed more heavily than the dominant logical one. One that pleaded with you to stop, because you were going to disappoint him and embarrass yourself. You didn’t want to disappoint him. You so desperately wanted Gojo’s approval, but the roots of your self-doubt were even more inviolable.
“Gojo, I don’t know if I- “
“Try.”
You swallowed. The gash on Gojo’s chest was deep, oozing fresh blood and the black fluid of poison. It was a wound that he easily could’ve healed himself, but he was looking to you expectantly and with unbridled trust. It was more severe a wound than any you’d attempted to mend before. There was no guarantee that you’d even be able to do it, given that the only times you’d practiced were on your own body.
You were so afraid to fail, but even more so to hesitate in front of Gojo, especially when he gazed up at you with such certainty. You laid your palms flat against the space just below either of his collarbones and closed your eyes.
His skin was warm beneath your touch. The necessary proximity made it so the outside of your thigh pressed against his. Even through the layers of clothing, the contact sent a shiver through your whole being. Had you ever been this close to him before? Under the domineering metallic scent of his blood was something softer and clean, reminiscent of his apartment you’d been in just weeks ago. You resisted the urge to breathe it in.
He let out a sharp hiss between his teeth and you flinched backward, afraid that you might have hurt him.
“What?!”
“You have some cold ass hands,” He whined.
“Oh my g- shut up.”
You focused on the feeling of his pain. It became a tangible thing, a red, stabbing mass you could see in your mind’s eye. The blood was leaking from your chest, the cut was just above your heart. Picture the energy, gold and blue dust spilling from an endless cup. Pour it out. Breathe, pour, pain, erase. His pain became yours as you absorbed it, and you shifted your focus to crushing it beneath a figurative fist.
It was different from the times you’d tried to heal yourself. You wanted to take his pain away, to make it disappear and never let it happen again. It was downright emotional at that point. Your cursed energy flared all around you, building as you absorbed more of the hot, stabbing sensation from his body. Tears welled up in your eyes, but you kept them shut as tight as you could. You heard him suck in a breath and his muscles went rigid under your touch.
At first, nothing changed. You were hyperaware of Gojo’s sticky blood covering your glove-clad fingers, thick and tangy. Your teeth grinded together from how tightly you were clenching your jaw. Breathe. Erase. You convinced yourself that the gash was a curse you wanted to exorcise. Absorb it, pour, pain, crush it-
And then the pain vanished. The tension in his body subsided, replaced by the warmth of release and a rush of excitement. You gasped and your eyes flew open to glimpse Gojo’s face just a few inches from yours. Blue eyes filling your vision, as brilliant and free as the sky, uncovered, and full of energy.
“I’ll be damned,” He breathed.
You glanced down at your blood-slicked fingers. Some remained on him, but the gash no longer looked at you angry and agape. Instead, it appeared as a thin, white scar, barely visible against his pale complexion. You smiled, wide and toothy, as a rush of euphoria tingled throughout your whole body. You wiped at the tears that had escaped when you opened your eyes, but you felt invincible.
Gojo was so close to you. Your hands still laid on his chest, his warmth wrapping around you like a safety blanket. Somehow, your leg had hooked itself between his thighs, suddenly all too aware of the intimacy of the situation. Had you moved forward just an inch, your leg would’ve been pressing into his groin. Blood roared in your ears. Could he feel how fast your heart was beating? Under your palm, his own was slow and steady. Unbreakable.
“Better?” You asked, suddenly breathless.
And then his half-lidded eyes darted downward from yours to your lips, sending a horde of butterflies afloat within your stomach. Don’t look at me like that, you wanted to say. You stood frozen, too afraid to lean in, but not wanting to pull away even more. You felt like you had been set on fire. Surely, he wasn’t trying to do what you thought he was. But you were so close to him, and the feeling was so intoxicating, and the way he looked at you was so alluring.
Then you remembered the night of Halloween, when he’d traced a long, teasing finger along your skin. Remembered the fire that burned within you just from his touch. You glanced down at his parted lips, pink and wet with his saliva. You pictured yourself tasting him, wondering what it might feel like if you just leaned forward and stopped being a coward-
“How did it go?”
Shoko’s voice rang throughout the room, piercing your ears and sending your soul out of your body.
You jumped away from Gojo, crashing into the metal table you’d set just a foot away. The supplies went flying, clattering loudly onto the floor as you tried to maintain both your balance and your composure. You felt an urge to bolt out of the room as fast as you possibly could, suddenly feeling ashamed.
And then that half-lidded expression was gone, just as if you’d imagined it. He stretched his long legs and rose to his full height, still bare-chested and pale under the fluorescent lighting. You didn’t dare look at him now, not after he’d looked so deeply into your soul with such allure.
“All better now,” Gojo chirped, giving no sign that he’d felt even slightly affected in the way that you did.
Shoko smiled at you approvingly. You just hoped she didn’t notice the rapid rise and fall of your chest as you struggled to catch your breath. Although she hadn’t been in the room, it appeared that she’d known about the healing session. She always knew so much of your personal happenings without you telling her. It was still a mystery you’d yet to solve.
“I’m assuming this was your idea?” You queried.
The two of them exchanged glances, which was enough of an answer in itself. Gojo was conveniently busy with responding to a text on his phone, avoiding your inquisitive expression. It wouldn’t be the first time they’d gone behind your back to pull strings.
“I thought you might want to practice,” Shoko confessed. “Though I wasn’t ever expecting it to be on him.”
Well, that made two of you.
“Yeah, to be honest, I didn’t believe that you could do it.” Gojo added unnecessarily, looking up from his phone.
You decided then that those few seconds of longing had been a figment of your imagination.
You glared at him. “Has it ever occurred to you that you can keep those comments to yourself?”
“Sure, but it’s so worth seeing the look on your face when I don’t.”
You sighed, suddenly realizing how exhausted you were. That euphoric feeling had diminished completely, and you could tell just how much of your energy it had taken to heal him. But you’d done it!
“What’s the prognosis, Doctor?” Gojo asked.
Shoko turned to you, her posture straightening and her manner turning business-like.
“What did you feel?” She asked vaguely.
Both of them were staring at you expectantly. You suddenly felt small and all too aware of the disconnect between your skill level and theirs. Gojo’s proximity had distracted you and truthfully, you didn’t have much of an answer.
“Um
I can’t really explain it, but the poison felt evil somehow. It smelled like shit, and it kinda looked like motor oil.”
Your answer sounded stupid to you once you’d said it out loud, but Shoko nodded thoughtfully, diminishing your anxiety by a measure.
“Since we’re seeing it again, we’ve got a problem.” She spoke.
You agreed. It had taken weeks to recover from your own encounter with the poison. You’d been able to tap into only a fraction of your cursed energy after, slowly returning to its peak with an exorbitant amount of rehabilitative training. It had been a difficult and painful endeavor. Gojo likely wouldn’t have much of a problem, given the caliber of his strength, but it was still alarming, nonetheless. And what if one of the students got hit with it?
It was different for you. You still weighed in as a Grade 2 with no indication that you’d be promoted anytime soon, where Gojo was the strongest sorcerer in four-hundred years. Jealousy wasn’t the right word to describe what you were feeling. Disconnected, perhaps, knowing that you would never be able to understand exactly what he experienced or felt.
God. Since when did you care about how Gojo felt? Your head had begun to pound with the beginnings of a headache.
“I’m going to start researching the poison,” Shoko announced. “I suggest that you-”
The shrill tone of a phone ringing interrupted her mid-sentence. The sound sent a stabbing pain through your skull, but you held in your complaints judging from the look on her face.
Shoko pulled her phone from the pocket on her white jacket, sighing. Her dark eyes slipped shut as she cursed under breath.
“I leave for five minutes...” She muttered, before stepping out of the room and answering the call.
You truly felt bad for her at times. She was the hardest worker that you knew of, and it seemed that the load of it was endless.
Gojo was scrubbing the small amount of remaining blood from his chest. You glanced down at the floor, remembering the mess you’d made after Shoko had startled you. You reached down to clean up the spilled supplies, first discarding any contaminated materials before peeling off your gloves.
An awkward silence had settled over the room. Your mind was still reeling from the brief intimacy and the intense emotion that had come over you. Gojo being half-naked wasn’t helping either, and you were finding it difficult to maintain your composure.
“How do you feel?” You asked, mainly out of obligation, but partly to relieve the ever-increasing tension in the too-small room.
Gojo shrugged, lifting his arms over his head to stretch casually. You quickly averted your eyes, silently wishing he would put on a shirt because it was fucking distracting, and you were tired of blushing like a teenaged girl. If you’d voiced that thought, though, you knew you would be falling right into a trap.
“Never better, Nanamis,” He replied, insistent upon using the annoying nickname he’d given you during your first year.
His hair had fallen into his face again. What would he do if you just went over there and brushed it-
Stop, you told yourself. Stop stop stop stop stop.
“I’m surprised it worked, too,” you admitted. “I haven’t ever tried on anyone else.”
“Maybe you just needed the right motivation,” Gojo mused, winking playfully.
You rolled your eyes, and though you’d never admit it, you had an inkling that he might be right. But the question remained, and you had to know, because rarely did Gojo do anything without a reason.
So, you asked. “Why did you want me to do it?”
“I was curious.” He offered curtly.
“As you so often are with me.”
He chuckled at your quick remark. You weren’t satisfied, sensing that he wasn’t quite telling the truth, so you pressed on.
“You could’ve asked Shoko,” you stated. “Or done it yourself.”
“I knew if she was in here, you wouldn’t have agreed,” He answered with a shrug. “Maybe we wanted to do you a favor, yeah?”
You narrowed your eyes at him only slightly menacingly to demonstrate your persisting suspicion. Gojo had always doubted you in the past, and up until recently, he never did you any favors. It just didn’t make sense.
He scoffed at your expression. “Always so ungrateful.”
And with that, you felt resigned to let it go. Besides, it’s not like you were unacquainted with disappointment. The exhaustion was really starting to hit you, too. Almost all of your cursed energy had been sapped and the unexpected emotionality had been a feat in itself. You wondered if Gojo had felt it, too. That is, if he felt anything at all.
You took it upon yourself to turn the room over to save Shoko the trouble. Gojo still remained, leaning casually back against the counter on his palms, watching your every movement.
“You know, Gojo,” you said without looking at him. “You could always offer to help.”
“Uh huh.”
You paused, holding the crumpled tissue paper mid-air over the trash can to send him a disappointed glare. Despite the decrease of hostility and dislike in your relationship, you still found him irritating.
“You just gonna stand there, then?”
“Do you want me to leave?”
You sighed, defeated, and went back to cleaning. He stood straight from his spot against the counter and tossed the pink-stained gauze into the trash. In your periphery, you saw him walk toward the hall, stopping short just before he crossed the threshold.
“Nanami?”
You perked up at the mention of your name, glancing over at him by the doorway. “Hm?”
He looked down at you with that half-lidded expression he’d given you earlier when you’d found yourself nearly sitting on his thigh. In a low voice that sparked a stirring in the pit of your stomach, he said, “I’m really tired of hearing my surname come out of your mouth.”
What the fuck.
You blinked at him once, then again, as you processed the chill that slithered down your spine at his words. Why did he have to say it like that, so
debonair? To your chagrin, you could feel sweat beginning to gather on your hands once again. You had to physically gather every bit of determination to will yourself not to glance down below his face.
“Okay,” you said weakly, unsure of how else to respond.
He hummed, seemingly pleased with your reaction. And then any trace of that sensuality evaporated with a cheeky grin. He gave an exaggerated wave, letting himself out of the exam room and leaving you feeling confused and somehow frustrated.

“Are you ready for your final present?”
Locking the door behind him, Nanami turned to you, slightly perplexed by your question. “Was the date we just had not all?”
Shaking your head, your mouth formed a half-smile. Placing a hand on his chest as if to stop him in place, you brought your face up close to his ear.
“Stay here, I’ll bring it to you.”
Nanami’s eyes followed you as you stepped away from him, wondering what you were doing after disappearing into the bedroom. Slipping his shoes off, he remained in position by the door. He was ready for a quiet night with you, especially after the slightly hectic morning he had with Gojo and then you stepping in to take him on a nice date.
But you had other plans.
The moment you appeared once more, Nanami realized what plans you had for him; the black lace that enveloped your chest and accentuated your curves screamed to him that a quiet night in was not in the itinerary. And the dulled clack of your classic black pumps seemed to coincide with his growing arousal.
“Well?”
His eyes trailed down your figure, taking note of every inch of exposed skin, the bustier enhancing and fitting to your body so well. He knew the moment he saw the set in the store that it would fit you well, but he did not make much of a comment on it when he visited with you; somehow, you observed his taste, to which he was very grateful.
“You look stunning, darling.”
“Good. Because you get to do whatever you want to me tonight.”
Those words sent blood rushing to his cock, his mind racing from all the possibilities. It was not like it was any different from any other night, but something about this night made him feel more excited to touch you, to hold you, to do everything to you that he could not voice out loud in polite company.
Taking one step closer to you, his hand moved to cup your face, his other moving to pull you close. His dark eyes lingered on your face, letting moments pass before bringing his lips to meet yours; he remained rather restrained, keeping the kiss slow and soft, a reminder of his appreciation towards you.
“You really should be careful of what you say to me when we’re alone.”
Before you could get a word out, he swept his arms around your thighs and lifted you, bringing your legs around his waist and pulling you in for a more passionate kiss, his desire fighting against the mental confinements.

“Kento, this
fuck, this was supposed to be for you
” you whimpered as Nanami’s hands aided you in riding his abs.
“Who says I’m not enjoying this?” He let out in a breathy groan, the sight of you gliding and losing yourself in your own pleasure made his cock strain against his briefs. “Besides, I want to make good use of this little naughty opening at your panties.”
The black lace bottoms might as well not be there, as there was a slit along your folds that made it perfect to fuck you in without ruining the beautiful display; if there was something Nanami did not want to do, it was ruin a special present. And he wanted to make sure you were ready before he could fuck you for the rest of the night.
“Please
please, Kento,” your voice came out weak and needy. “I need
need you to touch me. Need your help.” Your chest rose and fell quickly, your desire apparent from your head to your pussy, which soaked him as you glided across his abs, the surface providing you some sensation to your clit–just not quite enough to get you off.
Nanami brought his hand on his front, sliding his fingers down to where you would glide against him; the calloused fingertips provided just enough friction for you to roll your hips into, ramping up your way to climax. He intently focused on the way your face bloomed from pleasure, the way your clit just seemed so soft and sensitive to the touch, the way your voice let loose the whimpers and moans while your cunt seemed to quiver—it all began to drive him wild.
“That’s it, darling. Want you wet and ready for me.”
He gently moved his fingers up against your clit, which elicited a cry from your lips. Your hips rocked back and forth as you chased your peak. The tension within wound up more and more until you felt it snap, a low groan resonating in your throat as you cum, letting go of all thought for the moment. Nanami’s hands returned to your hips to guide you through, letting you ride out your orgasm and come down from the peak.
“You did so well,” he murmured while you fell forward, catching yourself just in time to hover just inches above him. His hands ran up your waist, gripping your body before hooking a leg around one of yours to flip you over. “Look at the mess you made on me.” Leaning down, he pressed his lips to your forehead, then nose, and finally your lips. “It’s ok, now we’re ready.”
His hands trailed down your curves before settling just behind your thighs, pushing your thighs up against your chest. Reaching into the drawer next to the bed, he retrieved the ropes, which he used to tie your legs to the bedposts, securing them and ensuring you were safe and comfortable. Resting back on his haunches to view his work, he smirked before slowly removing his boxers, letting his cock spring free. His hand moved to rest just below your belly button, his thumb reaching to circle your puffy clit, causing your hips to slightly squirm at his touch. His other hand wrapped around the base of his cock, letting it slide against your folds and brush against your clit.
“Please–”
“Ah ah, you said I could do whatever I wanted.”
He continued to gently rock back and forth, biting the inside of his cheek to keep control, until you wriggled your hips in need, just the way he wanted you. After a few more moments of tormenting you, he pulled away to let the head tease your entrance, pushing its way through inside of you. He heard a sigh coming out of you and he turned his gaze to your face.
“You’re going to take it all, understand?”
After seeing your nod, he pushed his cock forward, letting every inch of it disappear inside of you until it was buried to the hilt. He released the groan he had been holding inside due to the warm way your walls hugged him. A moment passed by as he recovered, his head starting to fog up from the desire and excitement.
“Fuck, you’re perfect. The best present a man can have.”
And with that, he pulled his hips back until his cock was almost all the way out before thrusting back in. He repeated the process, slow and steady, plunging hard and deep inside of you. The air started to fill with your gasps and moans, fueling his desire to ruin you in the pretty black lace. His hands grasped your ribs as leverage, his thrusts shifting in their angle.
“Oh god
” you gasped as each plunge drove out the air from your lungs, each drive of his hips bringing his cock to bully their way against your spots. “Fuck, baby
can you–mm, faster, please?”
“Oh, you want me faster?” His hips slowed down in their pace, a sly grin appearing on his face as he heard you whine from the frustration. After about a minute of this new rhythm, he grabbed your wrists and pinned your hands above your head, a new, hungry gleam appearing in his eyes. “If you insist.”
Suddenly, his thrusts became faster, his cock brushing against the spot inside that began to drive you wild. You threw your head back as you tried to breathe, your choked sobs reaching his ears.
“Is that better, sweetheart?” Nanami groaned, before his other hand pressed down just under your belly, drawing out a scream from you. “Can you feel how deep I’m inside?”
Tears welled at the corners of your eyes and threatened to spill as your hips and thighs began to tremble. Unable to muster any coherent verbal response, you nodded your head. Nanami shifted his hand down slightly, bringing his thumb to your clit and rubbing tight circles on the sensitive bundle of nerves.
That was the start of the end for you, as the cord began to quickly tighten inside, the stimulation hurtling you towards your climax once again. Your moans crescendoed gradually and your cunt contracted around him; a breathy moan broke the hold he had on his jaw, the fluttering of your walls loosened any restraints he had.
“I’m
”
“I know, love. You can do it, let go for me. Give it to me.”
At his urging, the elastic cord snapped, and with that your orgasm crashed over you, the waves of pleasure washing over you; the come down, however, did not come, as Kento’s thrusts became erratic. His groans joined your cries as his climax was rapidly approaching.
“Kento, fuck
I–”
He hushed your whimpers, letting go of your wrists to slip his fingers inside of your mouth. “Just a little bit longer
I’m close, too.”
Indeed he was; he drove his hips for a little while longer before his cock twitched, his release finally happening. Kento thrust a few more times to make sure his cum filled you up, his load spurting and painting your walls white.
He stilled, catching his breath while looking down at your face, your eyes glassy from the intense activity, your lips puffy from the heavy breathing and sobs that left through them. Gently leaning down, he pressed his lips against yours, kissing them softly and reassuringly. Your arms wrapped around his neck to keep him close, kissing him back with a tender passion.
“Happy birthday, love.”
“Thank you
but we’re not done yet.”

Chapter One
He opens his eyes suddenly, a sheen of sweat cooling his exposed skin with his heart pounding in his chest. He doesn’t need to check the time to know that he’s up before his alarm, the buzzing in the street confirming that much. His bangs lightly poke him in the eyes, fitting around the eyelashes that futilely try to fight against them. With one, heavy sigh he brushes them back, willing his heart to slow down. He eventually sits up and cradles his face in his hands, bringing his knees to his chest to breathe.
Breathe

Breathe

Breathe

.
“He’s still breathing!”
“His heart rate’s coming back up! Hey, can you hear me?”
“It’s getting too high, he’s gonna go into shock!”
“Hey buddy, can you hear me? We’re gonna take care of ya, just hang in there!”
His alarm snaps him back into reality, sending a jolt down his spine. The surprise sets his heart aflame again, but this time it’s almost welcomed. Alarms nowadays are a lot more varied, from sing-songy (much like Gojo’s) to industrial ones that are a tad nostalgic. Kento’s personally decided to go for one that imitates birds chirping, a sound he occasionally misses from the mornings that now rings as his lullaby.
He stretches his legs back out and leans over to check the time for sunset. Upon realizing it’s about an hour or so he softly groans to do a full body stretch before rising from the bed. He’s not too keen on doing laundry yet again this week, gathering the sheets to toss into his hamper before stepping into the shower. The water is hot, so hot it just barely burns his skin, but the sting is welcomed. It makes him feel alive.
Small drops cascade over his body, racing each other down the drain. He softly chuckles to himself as he places imaginary bets on ones that glide down his thighs. He eventually dips his head under the stream, hissing slightly at the sting and turning the temperature down just a little to make it more bearable. His shampoo bottle pathetically squirts out just enough for his hair for one wash, and he curses himself for hanging out with Gojo the day (to him at least) prior rather than doing the grocery run he planned.
The sound of the water hitting his skin and the tile fills his ears, drowning him in familiar memories once again.
“I’m so sorry, young man! Are you hurt?”
“You don’t think he’s one of them, do ya?”
“He ain’t got no fangs—”
“Some of’em are sneaky like that! Open yer mouth, boy!”
*ding*
*ding*
*ding*
A fourth ding on his phone can almost undoubtedly confirm that it’s none other than the troublemaker himself reaching out. Nanami moves on with his shower and steps out with his towel around his waist. He forces his bangs to lay away from his face to squint at his phone.
Gojo Satoru: <<Nanamiiii!>>
Gojo Satoru: <<Good morningggg (~â ïżŁâ Âłâ ïżŁâ )~>>
Gojo Satoru: <<I can’t stop by tonight but Choso should be there soon!>>
Gojo Satoru: <<Suguru’s letting me spend the day at his place!!! 😋>>
Nanami huffs incredulously. Well that’s sure a surprise. Though a part of him weeps for Gojo’s poor lover. He sends a text of warning back.
<<Don’t try to bite him.>>
A text comes back almost immediately. Nanami can almost hear the saccharinely sweet feigned innocence dripping from the words on screen.
Gojo Satoru: <<Oh whatever do you mean~>>
Nanami doesn’t even have the energy to kiss his teeth the way he wants before moving on, deciding that the message isn’t worthy of a response. He stands in front of the mirror to brush his teeth, bringing out his fangs and being sure to brush around them, only retracting them once he has to shrug his tongue. Once done with a quick and simple face wash and moisturizer he blowdries his hair from soaking to damp, leaving it wet enough to mold later. After doing a pat down with his towel, moisturizing the rest of his body, and getting dressed, he returns to his vanity to finish his hair off, using a gentle pomade and steady fingers.
Though he’s done it more times than he could possibly count, he can’t relax until it’s molded into the perfect shape. As he does so, he notices his eyes slowly taking on a red tint under the caramel. The doorbell ringing almost cues the growling of his stomach and the aching beginning to creep in his bones. He settles for “good enough” and begins to head downstairs, dressed in everything but his shoes.
There stands Choso, a pale but stocky man. Over a lot of time and quite a few half conversations, he’s learned that only one of his parents was a vampire, that parent quickly fucking off and living life who knows where not long after Choso’s conception. Choso inherited a jumble of traits that might as well have been taken out of a mystery bag with one’s eyes closed. He has that stark, pale skin, yet no fangs. He can survive on little blood, human blood stretching much farther for him than most. Though he can walk in the sun, he still has a sun sensitivity that generally keeps him safely tucked away, especially during the summer. Even without that state, he prefers the community of fellow vampires over humans either way. The bags under his eyes are completely separate, as he’s an incurable night owl with an early shift. He also has a brother. He also had more.
“Please come in,” Nanami says uselessly, this becoming a routine for over a decade now. Choso still politely waits for the invitation, however, a mutual commitment to the bit. Nanami’s body is already buzzing with anticipation, every one of his muscles flexing at the sight of the wagon Choso totes behind him. A familiar smell wafts up to his nose, making him grunt.
Choso lets out a half-laugh. “Gojo-san felt generous.”
Nanami notices the way he’s tensing and wills himself to calm down. “H-how many extra?” he chokes out, his fangs already baring without his will.
“Five.”
“Christ—”
“That’s what I said. Worst fucking haul of my life. Took everything in me not to tear into it, and I don’t even drink much.” Choso makes his way through the entrance hall past the first living area, heading to the industrial kitchen on the right. Once inside, he goes straight for the walk-in cooler and begins opening the top of the wagon. He hands one to the Nanami, deciding not to comment on the veins now poking against his temple and the eyes that have fully turned now. He faces the cooler shelves and reorganizes the leftover bags from the week before, moving the labels to keep the dates in order. “Alright, let’s see
”
Nanami greedily takes the bag in his hands, hastily tearing the corner off the packaging made for easy feeding. His body warms immediately, tingling and buzzing as the blood flows through him. It smells sickeningly sweet as it rushes throughout his system, but what else could he expect from Gojo Satoru. With the way he feels, he won’t have to feed for another month or so, and it wouldn’t be the first time. Gojo’s blood is divine and anyone who’s anyone knows that.
Gojo Satoru: The sole remaining descendant of the Original Vampire. And to think he was only half. He contains every trait that any one person (or not) could dream of: his senses enhanced tenfold beyond the strongest vampire anyone could name. His regeneration and strength ridiculously above what should be vampirily possible. His stamina, his speed, his everything. With immunity to the sun and gifted in looks as well, he’s just as much the most annoying being on the planet.
But his blood is heavenly. If Gojo were a con artist he could sell it by the two ounce bottle and ensure that anyone who had a taste could maybe be like him someday! Hell, with the way it feels right now, even Nanami would entertain the thought, even if no more than a brief lapse in judgement. Once his eyes hazily focus again after rolling to the back of his skull, he tries to strike up conversation as Choso does his work.
“Sorry for not doing that, I thought Gojo-san was coming.”
“S’fine, I don’t mind it really. I like this kinda work anyway.” he sighs softly, clasping his hands momentarily as he surveys the bags he has before him. “I wanted to try something, tell me if you like. If not I’ll just go back to the normal stuff.” Choso grabs one bag with an extra label on it right under the date. “This one, aaand, where is it? Oh, these ones over here? I tried curing them. This one is withhh
” he squints at the bag to read the description, “Oh! So this is a Mediterranean vegetable medley. This one over here I put with chorizo, I dunno what I was thinking, but it was kind of a double-process.”
Nanami hums in interest, his eyebrows raising in curiosity.
“And this one, I was actually supposed to deliver a while ago, but forgot. I decided to put some, uh, some yeast and sugar and cinnamon and stuff in it. Kind of like
” he snaps his fingers a few times and scrunches his nose as he tries to search the air for the word that escapes him.
“Apple cider?” Nanami offers.
“That!” he points back, “exactly that! I know you don’t mind the normal stuff, but you’re a chef, you know?”
“Owning a restaurant doesn’t make you a chef, it—”
“It makes you something. Besides, you basically cook for yourself all the time. It’s nice to let vampires do things for you sometimes.”
Nanami sighs to dispel the smile that threatens to tug at his lips. Even if he wasn't told, he and Itadori are brothers without a doubt. “I’ll try them. If I don’t see you next time I’ll be sure to text you my thoughts.”
“My first food review,” Choso chuckles at the joke made almost to himself. His ears perk up when he hears Nanami clear his throat.
“Would like one of Gojo-san’s?”
His eyes widen at the offer. “Oh no! No it’s no worries, he said he owes me for the last minute call so trust me, I have a lot to look forward to.” Choso sighs airily with a smile. “That human’s got him wrapped around his finger, I see.”
“He’s letting him spend the day over for the first time,” Nanami comments, letting Choso pull the wagon out of the walk-in.
“Oh? Suguru’s lucky he’s male or Gojo-san would keep him barefoot and pregnant.”
“Technology is advancing fast nowadays, if he ever turns that’s when he’d really be in trouble,” Nanami half mumbles to himself, pulling a laugh from Choso as they walk to the door.
“That reminds me, do you know if Yuuji works today?” he asks, turning around after leading the wagon out the door.
“Any particular reason why?”
“He’s been dodging my calls and I need to talk to him.”
Nanami’s not one to distribute information on his employees, regardless of familial relation. Unless it’s an emergency, everything is under lock and key, or in these times, safes. Though the information proves quite interesting considering that Itadori’s been especially active on his phone as of late. So much so that Nanami actually has a talk scheduled with him once he comes in.
“It’s not nothing bad or anything, it’s just
” Choso exhales tiredly, scruffing up the back of one of his ponytails. “He’s got this boy toy recently—”
“And he’s human,” Nanami interrupts without really meaning to, letting his thoughts flow right from his lips. Choso nods in confirmation. Nanami mirrors him and says, “He works eleven to seven thirty.”
“Thank you,” comes out almost in a whisper, as if Itatdori himself were standing right there. With a sharp nod and an exchange of departing messages, Nanami closes the door and continues the pack from Gojo. Once he’s done he makes a small breakfast for himself. Though he doesn’t need to, making food and cooking it is fun. He likes the smells, the textures, the flavors. Anyone would say that as much as it is a necessity for some, the act of eating is plain old fun. No wonder his grandad opened all of these restaurants, besides the other reason.
It’s only eight, so the grocery stores should still be open by the time he’s done with the cooking and cleanup. Cleanup being “put everything into the dishwasher and turn on heated dry.” Once he’s done with that, he heads to a nearby store and buys his coveted shampoo, sighing with relief as he picks up the last bottle. He decides not to go back home to drop it off, rather enjoying the warmth of the night. He walks down the sidewalk, already bustling with night owls and those who try to steal some time to themselves after their jobs before inevitably dragging themselves back home to sleep and do it again.
He admires the way the trees decorating the sidewalks have their first signs of buds, soft and delicate to the touch. Sometimes he feels they’re so fragile they may disintegrate right before him. Spring is coming. Spring means summer. And summer means shorter days. He sighs to himself, looking to the stars, awaiting the “Quiet Hour,” when the city turns off its lights to let everyone enjoy their light. To bask in the suns that are too far away to hurt them.
When the clock reaches half past nine, he begins his walk towards work.

Smoking love with Nanami
Nanami x Gn! Reader
You were having a smoke sesh with Nanami. It came a bit of a surprise to you that he even agreed. You knew he needed it though, he’s your best friend and he always came over your place after work so he can relax. He was staring at you again for the fourth time tonight. This was a weird habit that you’ve just started to pick up on.
“What? Is something wrong?”
He sucked his teeth taking the blunt from between your finger and taking a hit. It didn’t seem like you were gonna get an answer from him.
“Nanamiiii”
You shoved his arm playfully trying to get his attention.
“C’mon babes what’s going on with you?”
“You know you’re gonna be the death of me right?”
You cocked your eyebrow in confusion
“The hell you talking about?”
You were taken by surprise when he grabbed your legs throwing them over his own. His face directly in front of your own. God did this man know how to take you by surprise.
“Heard bout your little date while I was away”
You sucked your teeth in response
“Must of heard how much it sucked to. Stupid ass bitch had a boyfriend and was cheating on him. Unfortunately for me the date got crashed by said boyfriend who thought I was the one that’s been banging the bitch for the past 6 months.”
Nanami couldn’t help but chuckle at your story while passing you back the blunt . How the hell does shit like that happen?
“No I haven’t heard about that.. but you know what I’m going to say.”
“Yeah yeah you warned me bout em.”
A small smile came on his face as he looked at you.
“Mm not quite that.”
“Yeah then what are you bout to tell me?”
He took the blunt and placed it in the ashtray. This confused you but that didn’t matter once you felt his lips on yours. Mere minutes had felt like hours with the two of you kissing.
“You should be mine and we both know it.”
“Fuck Nanami do you know how long I’ve been wanting you to say that.”
Once he finally pulled back you two stared at each other before a make out session occurred.
“I love you so much..”

Where There's a Will, There's a Wave (Dad Nanami)
(Part 1 of Season of Serendipity.) Read on AO3.
Tags: Dad Nanami, Kid Yuji, Dad Gojo, Kid Fushiguro, Beach Day, Nanami Needs a Vacation, So Beach Day It Is, Gojo is a Giant Man Child, But We Still Love Him
Word Count: 1,009 words
Summary: Nanami takes Yuji on a car ride and surprises him with a beach trip!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Otouchan, where are we going?" Yuji chirped in the backseat as Nanami continued their journey to the beach. "Is Uncle Gojo going to be there?"
Nanami would never understand what Yuji found so fascinating about Satoru Gojo (the man was an idiot) but he allowed himself a small smile at the boy's excitement. Yuji's pink, fluffy hair twisted this way and that as he wiggled in his car seat in a desperate attempt to look out the window.
"You'll see, Yuji-kun." Nanami repeated for the fifteenth time. "We're almost there. And yes, Gojo-san will be there. So will Fushi-kun."
"Yaayyy!!" Yuji squealed, squeezing his stuffed panda bear tight.
The horizon cut in two as they drove closer and the tree line disappeared. A stark line between blue sky and white sand relaxed Nanami's muscles instantly. Gojo may be a giant child himself, but I can't deny needing a chance to rest from work.
He pulled them into the parking lot and quickly unbuckled Yuji, setting him down after putting on his backpack. Then, he grabbed the cooler and a large umbrella before locking the car.
He chuckled when Yuji stood immobile, staring with awe at the beach stretching before both of them.
"The beach!" Yuji shrieked. "Will we get to swim?!"
"Yes, Yuji-kun. All in good time. First, we have to go find where Gojo-san and Fushi-kun have set up." He started walking while keeping an eye behind him. "Keep up with me."
The little boy was insatiable. He trotted circles around Nanami, babbling the whole way. And when Gojo came into view? Not even a Special Grade would have been able to keep Yuji from speeding headlong towards him.
"UNCLE GOJO!" Yuji squawked, kicking sand up and losing a sandal in the process.
Nanami shook his head with the huff of a chuckle as he found the spot Gojo set up and started setting their things beside it. Fushiguro toddled right up to him.
"Do you need help, Uncle Nananmi?"
Whereas Yuji kept heaps of energy stored up and running constantly, Fushiguro was of a milder temperament. Gojo and Nanami often joked that they adopted the wrong child.
But Nanami wouldn't trade Yuji for anyone or anything.
"I've got it, Fushi-kun. But your offer is appreciated." He praised, before turning to Yuji and Gojo, who already had his son on his shoulders.
"Gojo-san! Bring Yuji over here so I can give him some sunscreen."
"Aaahhh, but we're having so much fun, Nanami!" Gojo laughed as he tromped under the umbrella to him.
"Thank you. Hold still, Yuji-kun."
After the addition of sunscreen and the subtraction of his shirt, Nanami finally stepped out with Yuji towards the ocean. Poor little Yuji had to waddle with all of his floaties, but even that didn't stop his happy squeals.
"Otouchan, swim with me?" Yuji's big brown eyes sparkled up at him.
"You didn't think I'd let you go alone, did you?" Nanami chuckled, wading with him into the salty brine. "Careful. You can't open your eyes underwater here like you can in our pool."
"Why?"
"Because it'll burn your eyes."
"Why?"
"Because there's salt in the water, and it'll burn."
"Why?"
"Because there's a higher saline content in ocean water than there is in your tears."
"But why?"
"That's just how it is, Yuji-kun." Nanami turned Yuji as a large wave crashed into them. Yuji toppled forward and scrambled to get back on his feet, eyes wide. "Whenever the big waves come towards you, turn your back to it. It'll make it easier to stay on your feet."
"Heeeyyy, Nanamiiii!" Gojo whooped to his left, running into the water and body surfing.
He turned and saw Fushiguro standing at the water's edge, dipping his toe into the water and then shaking his foot. His little lip trembled.
"Come on, Fushi-kun. We'll wait for you!" Nanami called out, keeping Yuji at his side while they waited.
Fushiguro hesitated for a moment before hopping into the water. He squeezed his eyes shut and then peeked out, before he smiled, his five-year-old mind starting to realize he wouldn't get sucked in.
When he made it to Nanami and Yuji, he looked for Gojo.
"Where's–"
"WOOOO!" Gojo popped up behind Nanami and whipped up a wave of water that splashed against his back.
Both Yuji and Fushiguro giggled as Nanami slowly turned to the white-haired man child.
"Are you frustrated with me?" Gojo asked with a smirk.
"Never." And Nanami wrapped an arm around Gojo's neck before slamming him into the ocean.
. . . . .
By the time the four boys stepped back towards their beach spot, everyone was hungry and ready for a break. Especially the two little ones.
"I've got watermelon." Nanami offered, pulling out a large container of cut melon.
"I've got kikufuku!" Gojo licked his lips and helped set up two small portions.
"Why am I not surprised?" Nanami shook his head before grabbing Yuji's plate and offering it to him. "And don't forget to stay hydrated." He reminded his son, handing over a small water bottle.
For a time the sound of gentle, lapping waves harmonized with the sound of little mouths munching. Nanami ate a few slices of watermelon and leaned back on his elbows, closing his eyes and letting the wind tousle his hair.
"Nice day, isn't it?" Gojo asked as the kids kept eating.
"A better day than I'd been expecting." Nanami answered, digging his fingers into the sand.
He only opened his eyes when he felt a paper plate nudge his pinky.
"Otouchan, can we build a sand castle?" Yuji asked, eyes round and pleading.
"You finished that quickly, didn't you?" He smiled and took Yuji's plate, stuffing it into a trash bag. Then he tickled his toddler's sides with a huff of a laugh. "Go get your toys and we'll set up over there."
"Okay!"
"Aww, look at youuuu being a good daaaddd!" Gojo taunted, earning him a hair full of sand from his blonde-haired peer. "Hey! That'll be stuck in my hair for days!"
"Serves you right."

YOU NEVER THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE GETTING MARRIED. Especially so soon. You never thought you could say that you were in love—especially considering the profession you chose to dive head first in. As your reflection winked back at you, your eyes were glossy, and you could tell that you were about to cry. It wasn’t tears of sorrow or regrets but tears of joy. The dazed feeling of finding your soulmate and being content that this was the person you wanted to spend all of your life with. It felt like the first time the two of you met all over again. The butterflies—them freakin’ butterflies that curled around your stomach as if they were playing ring a round a rosie. They were there just like they were when you two met at a bar during Satoru’s birthday.
It felt like yesterday when you showed up at the bar with a bright smile on your face and Satoru’s gift in another—and coming fresh off a flight from the States. Jet Lag also on the verge of kicking your ass.
“Happy 21st birthday.” You gave the white-haired male a smile as you shoved a bag in his hand.
It was a last-minute gift before you boarded your plane. Quite expensive, but you thought it fit him pretty well. His crystal blue eyes twinkled in excitement as you guys sat at the table with drinks in front of you. You sipped from your glass and let your fingers run through your coconut-scented coils. You watched your close friend open his gift with so much excitement to see the expensive pair of designer sunglasses.
“Thank you, Y/N.” He tore off the ones he had and placed the ones you brought him on. “How’d I look?” He throws up a childish peace sign that gains a snicker from Shoko, who dabbed her cigarette in the ashtray.
You glanced around the table, seeing Utahime, who you were sure had to bribe with drinks to show. Shoko, who you had to play rock paper scissors to decide who was going to be in charge to ensure the birthday boy returned home safely. The alcohol hit the white-haired sorcerer like a teenager getting their first taste of cheap alcohol. This wasn’t the whole group—but shit happens. Haibara died. Suguru was gone. Mei only responded if yen bills were involved. You wondered how that one guy was. You couldn’t remember his name, but you remembered two things about him. Sitting with him during lunch after Haibara’s death and those chocolate brown eyes.
“Nanami!” Gojo’s voice shrieked in the busy bar as he waved his long arms in the air for the blonde-haired salaryman to spot them.
Due to your back being turned away from the bar's entrance, you had to turn around to face the direction that Gojo was looking. There he was. Was it cliche to admit that your heart felt like it stopped beating, and you forgot how to breathe when you saw him? Which only happened as soon as you made eye contact with their beautiful brown eyes.
Nanami Kento, that was his name. You finally remembered his name.
To think that night at the bar was the start of something. The two of you ensured the birthday boy returned home safely after only having three shots of the most expensive sake and a sip of your lemon drop drink. Catching up as Nanami would drive because that was the only thing you could do over Satoru’s subtle snores in the backseat of the car.
How’d you been?
I see you cut your hair.
Still doing that research about reversed cursed technique you've been interested in since you were like 17.
He remembered that little silly, goofy conspiracy theory you had about your technique, and you couldn’t even remember his name at first. He remembered how you were on the verge of getting suspended when you were younger for disrespecting the higher-ups (Thanks, Principal Yaga for having your back). That was one thing you adored about him. He paid attention to you—you just couldn’t quite put your finger on how long. Maybe that was why you fell so in love with Nanami Kento. Maybe that was why the relationship moved so fast that it left you breathless—but in a good way.  Like a good rush of adrenaline. When you were younger, you told yourself that it wasn’t worth it to love when curses plagued the world like a disease. Sorcerers don’t fall in love because who had time for love when you were slaying curses or when you could die in just one assigned mission? Any sorcerer would know that it wasn’t worth investing in it when it could get taken away in a blink of an eye. Or so you thought.
“So let’s take that risk,” Twenty-One-year-old Nanami Kento said as you walked through a park after yet another successful date.
When you glanced at him, you caught his gaze so intense that it made your knees go weak. He looked at you as if you placed each star in the sky for him to admire yourself. He looked at you as if you were the reason the moon twinkled down upon you two. He looked at you as if he was in love, and you received this look countless times from him. Despite the two of you only seeing each other for about four months now. You tried to explain to him that it was a risk of falling in love regarding what you two do. Yes, he may have closed the door on slaying curses to start at this entry-level salary position—but you were still high in the sorcery field. He was trying so hard to convince you that you were worth the risk. If he were to die tomorrow—at least he would have had the opportunity to say he kissed you, held your hand, took you out, and made love to you.
“Ken, I don’t think you understand—“ Your words were interrupted by him stopping you from walking any further.
He collected your hand into his and looked you in your eyes. He knew that was another weakness—you never could look him in the eyes because you always got lost in them. You felt the pad of his thumb rub circles on your hand—the grasp tightening just a bit to ensure how serious he was. Your teeth nibbled at your lip before listening to him.
“I understand fully, and I’m all in,” Nanami responded.
He watches you blink a couple of times as if he was a dream. As if you could pinch yourself, and he would just disappear, and you would jolt up in your bed in a cold sweat.
“That just means we have to make every second worth it.” He explains. “So on that note—“ He leaned down and kissed your lips.
It was a soft, lightweight kiss until it wasn’t. His hand clutched the back of your neck, entrapping you completely to indulge in the plushness of his lips. You kissed back hungrily, actually, because you were all in too. You were all in four dates ago. You were all in when he stopped at your apartment to take care of you when you were sick. You just knew that Nanami Kento was worth that risk.
You always claimed that the two of you had time against you. Throughout your relationship, curses seemed to become stronger—it felt like it was always something new. Which increased the dangers of missions and your workload. That didn’t stop you guys from falling even more in love. Actually, it oddly landed you guys in a hiccup of your own, considering that you were here in a white wedding dress and your adorable three-year-old daughter was somewhere in the venue in her pretty flower girl dress. Yes, daughter.
You recalled how nervous you were about having your sunshine. Correction, you and Ken’s princess. You were nervous and terrified. You were still young. Just in love and working your way up in the sorcerer world. Granted, it halted your career (and she was conceived during a Christmas party), considering that you were only twenty-two when you had your daughter. But you and Nanami’s love grew. Your pregnancy wasn’t an easy road to go down, but you guys made it work. That was one of your two things. When you two were together, you created sunshine to help clear out a storm.
Adding your daughter to the picture was just sprinkling in that rainbow to piece together the beautiful storm that you and Nanami helped turn into sunshine. Your daughter was your whole heart. With her soft curly brown hair that was growing like a precious crown upon her hair. Her curious brown hues always sparkled when she saw you or Nanami. You adored seeing Nanami hold her hand as you guys made your way through a local flea market on a bright Sunday morning. You loved walking into the living room and seeing Nanami lying on the couch reading his favorite book while your daughter was sleeping on his chest. Those were just some moments that you held so close to your heart.
You perched up in the hospital bed, hearing the nurse explain what was to happen today. You spent days in the hospital after the birth of your daughter. Yu Nanami was a bit impatient when it came to making her arrival. With coming out a month early, your daughter was a premature baby—coming out and only weighing around three pounds. She was so small. You tried not to blame yourself when the nurse pushed you into the NICU. Maybe you were under too much stress. Push yourself too harshly at work to cause you to enter labor early. You remembered the feeling of your heart burning as the pad of your thumb rubbed against her tiny hand through the incubator.
“Little Yu has been doing so well in the NICU, so we decided that today we’re going to do a little kangaroo care, also called skin-to-skin care.” Your nurse beamed with a smile. “Kangaroo care can help her stay warm, gain weight, keep her heart and breathing regular, and even help with breastfeeding.” She explained to both you and Nanami.
You were super excited at the thought of feeling the warmth of your daughter's skin on yours, but you thought it would be better for Nanami to do it. You sat up excitedly before asking, “Does it matter which parent does it?” Your voice trails off before your nurse chuckles.
“It doesn’t matter. If you want to do it this time, he can do it the next time.” Her hand motions to Nanami, sitting in the chair beside your hospital bed.
Your plump lips formed an o shape before looking at Nanami with a smile, “I think you should do it first.” You say as your hand reaches out for him to take.
You watch closely as he grabs your hand and intertwines his fingers with yours. His brown eyes light up at the idea. You were sure Nanami held Yu more than you during your stay at the hospital. It was insane how small the baby looked in his arms while he waltzed around the room humming adorable lullabies he remembered his grandfather used to sing to him.
“You sure? She did mention it’ll help with breastfeeding. So I don’t mind waiting until next time.” He brings your hand up to his mouth and places a kiss on it.
“Yes, I’m sure. Plus, kinda an excuse to see you shirtless.” You joked with a wink.
“Of course.” He returned your chuckle before the two of you looked at the nurse, who couldn’t stop smiling at the adorable sight.
“Okay, then, let’s start.”
You couldn’t stop smiling at the sight, and you had never snapped so many pictures in a matter of minutes seeing your small baby on her father’s chest. If you looked close enough, you would even see some tears swelling in Nanami’s eyes. He quickly blinked to prevent you from seeing and to hold his composure, but that only let a tear droplet travel down his cheeks. Before smiling, you leaned forward to wipe the falling tear from Nanami’s eyes. “She got comfortable so quickly,” You pointed out.
“Yeah,” Nanami said through a breathy sigh.
You weren’t sure if he was nervous because his daughter was so close to him or the fact that the two of you created such a beautiful being. Frankly, it was both. Nanami felt at peace. When his daughter was placed on his chest, he felt a form of comfort. As if it was a missing puzzle piece that completed a puzzle, he’s been working on. It brought warmth to his heart to look at his daughter and see a share of himself and the woman he loved.
“She’s going to be attached to your hip. Such a daddy’s girl already.” You commented as you glanced at him.
The only thing you could do was let out a happy sigh. Because that’s what you were, happy.
Now here you stood with just a door and a simple walk-in between the love of your life. As you grasp Principal Yaga’s arm, you can feel yourself get nervous. It wasn’t per se you were having second thoughts. You would never have second thoughts about this. But you were nervous about what was to come. The two of you always viewed your love story as a love story on pure adrenaline. You two put your all into it because one day, you weren’t sure if the other would be here.
As soon as the doors were opened and you stepped into the room, grasping on one of the men who watched you grow into the young sorcerer you were today—there he was. Nanami Kento. His eyes met yours, and that nervous bubble that came crashing upon you burst. You couldn’t contain the smile that cracked on your face with each step you took down the aisle. Your eyes were blurring with your tears, and you hadn’t even stood before him yet. From the looks of it, Nanami wasn’t any better. Dabbing at his brown eyes with a tissue Gojo gave him—a quite poor attempt to not show the whole room he was tearing up at the sight of you. You, the love of his life.
When the thin sheer veil was lifted off your face, you looked at him and smiled. You felt like the princess in a fairytale, and you had finally been receiving your happily ever after with your prince.
“Hey,” Nanami said to you with a smile.
“Hello.” You responded, returning the smile.
“You look beautiful,” Nanami adds.
There you felt those same butterflies erupt in your stomach. The same ones appeared when he would kiss you in the morning before leaving for work. The same ones appeared as you watched him with Yu doing practically anything. Every moment you spent with Nanami felt like only you guys were in the room. You only saw him.  You were so in love and ready for him to be the one you spent forever with.
You were in such a trance of staring into Nanami's dreamy set of chocolate brown eyes; you didn’t even notice that the wedding celebrant mentioned that it was time for you to say your vows. You heard the wedding celebrant make a joke that made the guests laugh, and your cheeks warmed in embarrassment.
“So, should we do rock paper scissors to decide who goes first?” You joked, and Nanami laughed.
“I think my beautiful, beautiful Y/N should go first.”
“Fine, but if you cry so hard that you can’t even say your vows—don’t blame me.” You uttered.
You inhaled sharply, and the squeeze on your hands grew tighter. A squeeze of comfort to ensure that everything was going to be okay.
“Falling in love while being a sorcerer was something I never expected to do. Our jobs are risky, and I just knew I didn’t want to put someone in a situation where they’ll possibly lose me—or I lose them. But I just couldn’t help myself when it came to you, Ken. When I thought being in the world of sorcery would be suffocating, you were the air I needed to breathe. You felt so good. You felt like home. Looking at you first thing in the morning with your messy hair made me feel like everything was going to be okay. The patience you had with my apprehension assured me. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone as kind as you before. You handle me with so much care. You give me your shoulder to cry on when I have a stressful day at work. You listen to me talk shit about the reality TV show reruns I watch, regardless of you knowing what the hell I’m talking about. You gave me security, even when I felt scared. “Let’s take that risk,” remember? I can’t think of an opposite word for risk, but this—marrying you, having Yu? This doesn’t feel like a risk at all. This feels like a blessing. Aside from having our beautiful baby girl, falling in love with you is the best decision I have ever made in my life. Everyday with you feels like I’m experiencing love all over again. I’m sorry, I’m talking too much. Maybe I should’ve written this down.” You said, and guests laughed at last comment. If you listened closely, you could even hear one of your aunts yell to ‘to take your time, sweetie’.
“Just—Thank you, okay? I love you. I’ll always love you no matter what. And whenever you need me, just think of me, and I swear I’ll be there.” You finished with a smile, and tears fluttered down your cheeks.
Like the gentleman he was, Nanami wipes your tears away while trying to hold back his own.
“Fuck, you weren’t lying about me possibly crying after you said yours.” He says with a sigh.
“Daddy! Language.” Yu said out loud, giving him a similar look you would give him when he stays up too late.
“I’m sorry. I’ll put money in the swear jar after this.” He apologizes before he looks at you. “It’s my turn now, and I honestly don’t even know where I start. You know, I always thought that maybe I should write all of this day. But then, I knew I would have a whole book of how I feel about you.” Nanami explained.
“I remember when we first met. We were teenagers, and you always had this contagious smile on your face that, on some days, I found myself thinking about within the day. In my mind, I couldn’t admit that I like you considering what we were in school for. What was the point if one of us could die? Haibara’s death further proved my point, but when I saw you at the bar, I remembered Haibara’s words when he was younger. He mentioned that I shouldn’t let us about to be sorcerers hinder what I want in life. At that moment, I was all in. I knew what I wanted.” He wipes away a tear from your cheek with a sly grin.
“I wanted you, Y/N. I wanted your Sunday mornings where you’re just lounging around. I wanted your talkative moments of you talking about any and everything. I wanted your silence because I knew you could just be thinking about what flavor of ice cream you wanted or about some curse one of your co-workers told you about. I wanted your work days where you walk around in a white lab coat. I wanted the late-night chats of us talking about our future together. I wanted the other side of the bed at my place to be yours. I wanted you to have space in my closet and dresser drawers. So when I saw you at Satoru’s party, it just reminded me that when I first saw you, it wasn’t per se—love at first sight. It was more; it’s going to be you.” Nanami said as he intertwined his fingers with yours.
“You’re going to make me ruin my makeup Ken,” You drop his hand to quickly grab a tissue from Shoko because his dabbing at your tears was causing you to be even more emotional.
“I’m sorry, my love, but you deserve to know that. I’m ready to be yours. I’m ready to protect, cherish, and love you and our daughter until my last breath. Because I’m still all in.” He concluded with tears in his eyes.
Your heart felt like it was clawing at your chest. As the wedding celebrant continued with the ceremony and it was time for Nanami to rightfully kiss his bride, he didn’t waste any time collecting you and planting a passionate kiss on your lips. His arms snake around your waist, tugging you closer than ever as the guests erupt in cheers. Your arms went around Nanami’s neck as you felt his tongue trace alongside your lower lip, begging for a taste of you. You teasingly pull away from the kiss with a smile as your forehead presses against his.
“I’m so happy to be all yours now.” You happily sighed.
“I’m so happy to be all yours also.” Nanami brings your hand to his lips, placing a kiss on it. “So grateful also.”
That was how you and Nanami's love story blossomed to where you guys are today. A doctor at Kyoto Jujutsu High, A salaryman slash Sorcerer, and your five-year-old daughter (who can see curses).
