anyway today was productive! it was the second day since I downloaded Duolingo (learning Spanish because it looks fun, and Arabic because it looks gorgeous - and also because my partner knows Arabic) which I'm enjoying a little too much. who knew learning languages was that fun?? would you believe me if I said the reason it took me so long to download Duolingo was because I thought it was a subscription-based service? streaming platforms have put the fear in me istg 💀

I also finished making my flashcards for Animal Tissues Pt. 2 :D Haven't figured out a way to reduce the amount of time it took me (like 4 hours for 150 cards and it wasn't even the full chapter 💀) and I guess I should google that shit soon since I'm permanently adding flashcards to my studying plan

I do be falling behind on exercising and I need to figure out how to fix that as well 😭. I'm very close to just watching a stream on my phone while walking around my room, similar to how one puts a carrot on a stick to lure a horse 💀

My internet provider was straight up playing me before because it took 3 hours to download the ep last week and with the new internet, 20 minutes this week, so anyway I took random notes while watching and just gonna post a couple of them in one hit before scrolling my dash:

1. “Anybody can get a guy to bang them once.” Oh, can they, Dennis? Can they?? Sounds like a man speaking from experience, huh.

2. Jack to Charlie regarding “play dates” together and him saying “You don’t remember,” oh that hurts my heart, Charlie having to repress memories of him. And then the extra creep factor with the fucking ice cream truck, good lord, I’m starting to think Jack murder is more and more possible this season.

3. “Don’t mind my friend, he’s schizophrenic.” “I am, yeah.” I know it’s like a joke here, but I like schizotypal Charlie headcanon so I choose to see this as a win. (Spider in my ear vibes though <3)

4. Dee and Mac asking “why” and “how come” Dennis has a system to get men and him shhing them, oh yeah it’s all coming together, he’s used this system fr, and the truth and something else is gonna come out, baby.

5. Love The Waitress is Getting Married vibes from Dennis helping Mac and Dee on their dates the way they tried to help Charlie.

6. Girl, how did Dennis get that bottle open over that guy, this man lives off of beer and air, he’s a weak, frail Victorian maiden who would absolutely get Mac to open jars in their apartment constantly.

7. MOMMY ISSUES DENNIS REAL. Okay so we’re all in agreement we’re gonna transport Den “back to a time when he was a snot nosed little bitch who depended on the most important person in his life for absolutely everything, the person who inflated his ego, who made him feel powerful but also powerless, the person whose validation he’s been seeking his entire life.” I’m SCREAMING. “The way to make a guy fall in love with you is to make him feel like you are his mommy.” GIRL, WHAT THE FUCK, Freud would like a word, I could write a whole essay on this scene alone, but I’m sure someone else already has, but oh my god they’re bringing up how Barbara’s influence really messed with him, inflating his ego, making him the golden child and holding him up to these perfect standards, but he’s trying to maintain that perfection even after she’s gone and realizing he can’t, making him powerless. He just wants the illusion of power! he doesn’t want to have to work for it this much. Head buzzing with incoherent thoughts but there are thoughts here I may come back to just aaahh.

8. On another note, I really liked their acting in this one, especially the S.I.N.N.E.D. scene, their deliveries were all great, they seemed to be having fun and it was sooo cute.

9. A boy in love with Johnny so he can’t be with anyone else, but Dennis is Johnny, Dennis catfish real, Dennis controlling anal beads real, what fever dream is this fucking episode, a boy in love with Johnny, Johnny dennis Dennis Johnny, I’m losing my mind.

10. “I’m Dennis, I’ve always been Dennis” and Ireland’s “You’re you, you’ve always been you” parallels and Mac’s need for solid and clear labels of identity, but Dennis’ continually vague notion of his own self, and Mac remaining completely clueless this whole season, not seeing what’s right in front of him, the blowing jokes, Dennis and his system for men, Dennis is Johnny, while Dennis is starting to realize maybe what he wants and continuously gets more aware, and it leads to mental health day, aaah idk!! So much!

11. I love how everyone was deep dive analyzing the Frank Dennis scene and it was just him telling him he got anal beads in his ass 😭

12. The chess opponent looks a lil like Donald to me.

13. Full ass blast 😭 I hate how this show makes me insane regardless of that.

1.) What’s your favourite sims death? When you have a pool on your sim’s property no matter the season they go to lounge there and freeze to death because of their own stupidity. 😭

2.) Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I’m a alpha girl, but I really like both styles! IDK when you get down to it, they both reflect a ‘art style’ to me. Like have you tried to make a MM sim alpha or a alpha sim MM? There’s work involved in that to make it look right!

3.) Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Honestly it depends lmao I make my sims high on the weight scale, even the skinny sims, so their bodies look natural. There’s been times where I’ve had to slightly tweak their hips or stomach width so a cc top doesn’t look strange and bulky. 😑😑 But when I play the game everyone is bound to gain weight and I don’t take certain characters to the gym as much as I should. 😂😂

4.) Do you use move objects?  Uh yeah.

5.) Favorite mod?  Before High School Days was a thing, I really loved the plumfruit mod by Arnie. 😍 There was also a hair styling mod I downloaded that’s pretty fun and effective for doing quick townie makeovers. Beyond that as a storyteller I owe my life to MC Command Center and TOOL annnd wickedwhims for more intimate scenes.  

6.) First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? I literally don’t remember, but it was probably city living because I had the first version of Sal and Eve living in San Myshuno.

But even with that said it took me like, two days to get Pietro’s face and nose right. I hunted for certain facial details for him!! So I’m proud of him right now.  9.) Have you made a simself? I literally do nothing with my simself but she does indeed exist (images were taken long before Sink or Swim)

10.) What sim traits do you give yourself? I don’t even remember. That’s how rarely I am on her. 😂

I came back from my trip to jammu it was all nerve wrecking i was thinking of getting back before even visiting the city we were on the way didi was having a good account with Asif 😂😂

She called aunt and came to know that jr. Party at home one of them is sick 😂

My head was blasting as we sat on the bus 🚌 to their place it was honking shouting i was getting mad

when i was in girl scouts they took my troop of 3 kids to john's incredible pizza and they were like "make a pizza" so the other kids made pizzas with slightly unorthodox combinations meanwhile i continually stacked layers of cheese and pepperoni and sausage and cheese and pepperoni and sausage and i distinctly remember it being very tall and all the little girls at the table being like "that's so tall that's not going to work" and i just kept making my tower of babel and waiting for god to finally strike me down and there was only one layer of sauce. and my father was desperately trying to stop me but he failed. and when they popped it in the oven it shrank down into a miserable little thing and i was convinced they had swapped out my incredible pizza with someone else's but then i cut it open and i saw my glorious layers of pepperoni and sausage and cheese. and i bit into it and it sucked ass.

Wedding No. 2: Electric Boogaloo! (I had to cheat Adina's Serial Romantic aspiration bc it didn't recognize Belcore as a romantic partner. Also yes, Dulcamara officiated in his swimsuit, and yes, I took some inspo for Nemorino's wedding outfit from the Lyon 1996 production.)

Adina accidentally cut herself with the knife used to cut the cake 😂

THERE we go!! (btw I had forgotten to invite guests for the wedding so I invited all Adina's tenants one by one after the start of the ceremony 💀)

Adina initiated a "silly smooch" (a Funny interaction where one Sim asks the other to kiss their cheek, but then they press their lips to theirs)...

... and Nemorino gave her a proper smooch!

I tried to have them complete the "dance" part of the event requirements I chose, but in the end it didn't tick off. Also they were dancing here while music was playing from the jukebox way back in the living room 😂

Since my last writing about two and a half weeks ago, I've packed up, moved 6 hours away to school, unpacked and moved in, and had a whole week of classes! Well almost whole, it was a 4 day week.

I am doing,, just okay. I am so excited to be back on campus and in school. But I feel super behind since I've failed so many classes previously, and took basically 3 semesters off. I'm essentially a 22 year old 3rd year. I've been a student in this school for five years. I was supposed to graduate this year, but I have two more years left, at minimum. Some of the kids I have classes with were highschool freshmen when I was a college freshman. I feel self consious and ashamed about that.

I also feel like i'm already behind in some classes after only two actual class sessions (tues/thurs and wed/fri classes). I didnt get as much studying done as I would've liked in those five weeks that i time blocked (But getting into time blocking was definitely worth it, thats helping me so much).

I haven't had to do any actual math in TWO YEARS. I celebrated taking the "last math class of my life", completely forgetting that I need to take a calc-based physics class. Now im struggling in class to find the sides of a triangle with sohcahtoa 😭 If i don't glue my eyeballs to khan academy i'm gonna be a wreck trying to integrate and find derivatives.

And one class has an "Assignment 0" which is just downloading and setting up all the software we're gonna be using, and just trying to clone my gitlab repository took me several hours to figure out.

All the deadlines and assignments and quizzes and project dates has my head spinning. One class requires you to upload your notes to the lecture video before every single class (m/w/f class, so 3 times a week), and its something like 10% of your final grade. Idk i just think thats stupid lol. And I can't help but write notes differently when i'm concious of the fact that someone else will be reading them :/

But I will be studying hard, and getting stuff done early as to not fall behind.

That was academics, now onto my roommates.

I was placed in a random campus apartment with 3 other roommates. We each have our own room, but share the living room and kitchen. They're nice and i want to be their friend so bad, but I'm so socially awkward and i don't know how to make friends 😭. The thing is, I'm coming into "their" apartment mid-academic year, and thats only because their other friend moved out for an internship or something, so I got put in the vacant room. They're already a little friendgroup, the three of them plus the friend that moved out which they're still in group chats with. They might've even know each other before living here, they seem pretty close.

They're not intentionally excluding me or anything, but everytime i'm chatting with them it feels so awkward, and when I go back to my room and I can hear their fun conversations finally ignite. They talk about their mutual friends, and their parents, and plans to roadtrip. Then I go back out to fill my water bottle or make tea or something, mostly an excuse to join their conversation, and the conversation goes back to quiet and polite. I know I act the same way around new people as well, so its not their fault, but I dont know what to do, how to get around this. I heard them from my room talking about anime, and I so badly wanted to join them, but I didn't know how to do so naturally without creeping them out like I was eavesdropping their convo the whole time. You can only go fill your waterbottle so many times.

Its already the end of week 1 and i've barely talked to them. I'm afraid if we don't get more friendly soon, as time progresses, we'll get more stuck in the same routine and we'll only be able to be awkward and quiet around each other for the rest of the semester. I want to suggest we order some food tonight and maybe watch a movie, but idk is that weird? To suggest out of nowhere and not really knowing them? And theres no TV so we'd have to watch on someones laptop. Aughhhh idk. Plus I really need to get started on all this work i already have. Maybe i'll suggest it next weekend.

I'm already planning on making cookies for everyone tomorrow. A freshly baked cookie is the way to friendship, surely?

I had to delete tumblr bc I had no storage lol but I’ve downloaded it again and guys I had the most unhinged best weekend ever tour was so fun (still quite stressful but so fun) ‘Madrid is crazy Bahaha so fun … I made a core memory like it’s literally so so funny the whole of tour was literally just “five moments where people could have actually just died” 😭 putting the core memory under a readmore bc it’s so long lol

I had my own moment where me and my friend were at McDonald’s at like 5am after a night out … somehow I promise u I don’t even know how we met this man, he was also in McDonalds and somehow we all decided we’d go back to his and smoke and he was like come back to mine to smoke and we were like ok we’ll wait for u outside maccies and then we just went to his apartment, and he was this tall white Finnish man, he was like u can’t stay, If I want u to leave u need to go we were like girl ok who said we wanted to stay don’t u worry 😭😭 and also clarified that it was all PG he had a gf mt friend has a bf it was all chill but lol it was the moment we got into the tiny elevator up to his apartment and I looked into his face and his scary blue eyes that I was like ok what the fuck are we doing LOL. Anyways we get into his apartment, there’s 4 locks on the door 💀 my friend tells him not to lock the door so he doesn’t and then she asks if we can keep our shoes on so if we need to make a quick exit we can but he’s like no so we take our shoes off 😭😭 and his apartment was actually rlly nice , low-key serial killer vibes but also not rlly. The weirdest thing kinda was his flatmate was up and normal at 5:30am and didn’t even blink an eye at 2 random girls in their apartment but slay I guess. My friend goes to the bathroom at one point so I’m alone w these two random tall white men so I start chatting shit abt how I’ve done taekqondo for 8 years (they did not believe me) We go onto this tiny little terrace, it’s so cold, we smoke a bit, and then me and my friend r like ok well anyways.. bye guys! My friend was like do we exchange socials orrr shall we just keep this a nice once in a lifetime moment … we’ll keep this a once in a lifetime moment and we leave. my friend has lace up converses on so we go out of his flat and she’s putting on her shoes ourside and we’re laughing abt how strange it all was and he comes out again and is like “what r u doing” putting on our shoes “oh well if u take any longer you should come back in and smoke another joint ;)” and we were just like it’s 6:30am… no. So we actually then leave ans it’s just SO FUNNY. Bc all we have is their names, neither of us took any notice of where he lived, I didn’t even have a phone bc I gave mine to this girl so she could go clart some guy (her phone got stolen) … the more I say abt this whole trip and story the more I’m like wow … and then we tell ppl the next day like lol we stayed up sooo late haha this is why !! And why do ppl react like wtf is wrong with you like i was like shocked! I was like is this actually that bad ??? surely it’s not that deep but apparently it is LOL. Well anyways. That’s one story from tour. Literally SO funny, probs my fav memory. I think it was balancing act of like it feeling rlly unsafe but also rlly comforting and nice at the same time idk :)

Hi!! Wow, I'm super stunned you're asking me because I don't think I'm good at interiors at all 😭 But since you took the time to type out this ask, I will take the time to give you pointers on what helps me (under the cut)

1. Look around really well in the build/buy catalogue! At times I feel like my eyes are going to pop out from how much I squint at my screen, trying to figure out what's what BUT I find items I've overlooked before. Even with just a few packs installed (I have Base Game, World Adventures, Ambitions + High End Loft Stuff currently). If you still feel like something is missing still, go ahead and download custom content, it's okay. I have some in my game too, mostly from this site.

2. Download custom patterns if you feel like you're tired of the patterns in game. There are many on the web and to me they fit with the game (well, most of them, at least!)

3. When I'm really stuck (like at the moment) I look around on Pinterest. I usually have a certain color scheme/color in mind and just type in something like "yellow interior" or if there is a certain style/time period I think could work "yellow country interior". And it's super helpful that once you click on a picture you like, it recommends ones that are similar to it so you can pick and choose!

4. Carl's Sims 3 Guide has this cool article which gives tips and ideas on how to furnish a home. I use this site all the time, btw, to look things up I don't understand/don't know how to do. There's one for the Sims 4 too. Props to Carl and all the people who've worked on these sites, they're amazing!

5. If you feel like nothing is working out, you get stressed and it takes away from your enjoyment, take a step back. It's not worth that much to stress you out! This is what I did recently too. I took a few days off from playing, didn't even think about it then came back to it later re-charged, inspired, ready to get to it AND I did finish the first floor of that house I'm struggling with yesterday 😊 I tend to strive for "perfection", putting in a lot of effort to reach a "standard" I think I should be able to reach... but then I go overboard and realize, whoa, it's really not that deep, I shouldn't fuss over it so much and take that step back 😂 I don't know if the same goes for you but I wanted to give you this example.
