Thinking about other projects to do other than Sam and Max's Horror Show.

I'm gonna have to put that project on pause (yet again, so terribly sorry) because I'm just really stumped on how I'm going to present this upcoming episode. But have no fear! Sam and Max's Horror Show is not cancelled - just on a bit of a hiatus!

As for the other ideas, I've been recently drawing Snatcher from A Hat in Time and have apparently fallen into the realm of self shipping.

Yes... I do ship M.B. (myself) with the soul-stealing, contract-making shadow noodle. Thanks to @tiramegtoons and @darkmedolie, I have officially accepted my fate.

While that's happening, I've also been recently asked from a good family friend to do a drawing from her. She's a wonderful lady who does piercings for a living at my uncle's tattoo shop and she had been collecting a bunch of artwork from female artists. I showed her my artwork (including Sam and Max's Horror Show) and she loved so much that she wants my art as part of her collection!

I want to do something "original" this time and not something that purely fan art or inspired by cartoons/movies. So I decided to do an art piece on historical folklore, specifically the popular Mexican ghost story: La Llorona.

The state of tokusatsu in the West in 2021

The events of the past few weeks have taken the Western toku fanbase by storm. Amidst the shitstorm of spergs and a-logs who think they’re being rational but are really low-key spergs, unexpected turns in events are heralding the death knell for tokusatsu fansubs (that was going to be the name of this post initially). In addition, these events have also exposed the state of tokusatsu in the West in 2021, whether it be in regards to fansubs and streaming or Shirakura and the fanbase.

An update on the current situation

This is an update to the two posts I made in the past few weeks regarding the subject.

So some Indonesian wrote a Twitter thread about tokusatsu in general and in one of those tweets, he mentions Shirakura and the recent fansub scandal in a passing manner. Another Indonesian quote retweets him and tags Shirakura and this is what he got:

Some context:

Tweet 1 - 「雉も鳴かずば打たれまい」 directly translates to "If the pheasant didn't ring, then it wouldn't have been hit". At a stretch, it sounds like victim-blaming in rape culture. Also, the “semi-official streaming site” Shirakura is referring to is TokuHD, who are currently streaming Kamen Rider Agito and 555 with abysmal subtitle translation quality (Honshin and Olfenok) and were apparently licenced by an unknown third-party (if anyone knows, please tell me and I’ll update this).

Later on, TV-Nihon officially announced that they have decided to stop subbing Saber and Zenkaiger, softsubs or hardsubs alike, with Takenoko stating that he doesn’t want to worry about legal trouble on their team. Whether or not they will sub future series is still unknown at the moment. Nothing has come back regarding the apparent C&D from Toei, particularly as NewZect and KRDL haven’t received anything else from them apart from one email (and KRDL received theirs in 2019 apparently).

Despite this, Shirakura has expressed his gratitude for fans across the world who watch Toei’s shows, no matter how they watch them. It’s a far cry from “I believe there’s no fanbase of Kamen Rider in the west practically.”

So now, let’s dissect the whole situation, from fansubbing, streaming and official releases to Shirakura and the Western fanbase.

Fansubbing, streaming and official releases: le Happy Merchant intensifies

There was a time when TV-Nihon held a monopoly in tokusatsu fansubbing, subbing series that other people normally wouldn’t have cared about, including the Chouseishin and Tomica Hero series. They were known for their mistakes in translation and extensive use of different fonts and effects, which led to groups like Over-Time springing up over the past decade in an effort to diversify the fansubbing scene and break up TV-Nihon’s monopoly. (It’s time to #ReleaseTheFonts, TV-Nihon. Get that hashtag trending.) Though TV-Nihon seem to have this unspoken rule to not mention other sub groups on their forums, the recent C&D debacle has resulted in a truce of sorts between them.

Many tokusatsu fans outside of Japan will have known of the genre through fansubs and I am no exception. It’s very likely that for a long time, Japanese executives thought the only toku Westerners liked was Power Rangers, but in recent years, the increasing popularity of tokusatsu in the West has led to companies like Toei and Tsuburaya drawing up plans to release their series in the West. Presumably due to the two companies’ different attitudes to copyright, their IPs are being treated differently, as I will detail.

Tsuburaya - Based and redpilled For some reason, Ultraman is a franchise that very few fansub groups have cared about over the years, which makes Tsuburaya’s Western expansion that much more special.

Before 2018, Crunchyroll streamed Leo, 80, Gaia, Nexus, Max, Mebius, Ginga (S), X, Orb and Geed, but they have now been removed from the platform as Mill Creek Blu-rays, TokuHD, TokuSHOUTsu and Tsuburaya’s YouTube channel became more prolific.

Tsuburaya has been streaming the newest episodes of Ultraman weekly on their YouTube channel since 2012, presumably because their coverage on TV Tokyo and their affiliates don’t cover all of Japan. They have added Chinese subtitles to their episodes since either Geed or R/B and even though their translations of some names can be a bit autistic, they have added English subtitles to their episodes since Z following the release of Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes with dual audio and multi-language subtitles (including English). Alongside reruns of older series, Tsuburaya releases episodes on YouTube every week, which are then available for two weeks. In addition, they also have separate channels where they publish dubs for Ultraman episodes in Mandarin, Korean and even Cantonese (official TVB Tiga-Mebius dub release when), which is pretty based if you ask me.

Tsuburaya doesn’t seem to do takedowns of their materials on YouTube, though they do claim ownership of the material posted by other channels so that ad revenue goes to them. It’s the reason why whole series of Ultraman and various compilations using footage from various episodes are still surviving on YouTube today. Cynically though, I suspect that the main reason they don’t do takedowns is because they can’t afford to following years of financial problems and their decades-long conflict with Chaiyo Productions. They probably thought that it wouldn’t be worth it.

Toei - Cringe and bluepilled Is it any wonder that the one company with the more popular series amongst a niche fanbase would be so Jewish with their copyrights? While entire series and various compilations have been taken down by Toei over the years (which they technically have the right to do), they don’t give fans (particularly outside of the US) a lot of options to support them officially, so they only dug this hole for themselves. It’s also very naive of people to presume that Toei doesn’t know about fansubs; it would be fair to say that it’s an open secret that neither Toei nor fansub groups can acknowledge for fear of legal retribution.

From 2015 to 2019, Shout! Factory have released Super Sentai series from Jetman (the first pre-Mighty Morphin series to be released in the West) to Hurricaneger, but since Power Rangers was sold from Saban to Hasbro, Shout! Factory have not regained the rights to distribute any further series and Toei hasn’t done much lobbying in that regard. However, Shout! Factory have begun streaming some Kamen Rider series from 2020 on TokuSHOUTsu (Shout! Factory TV) and Tubi (in addition to the Super Sentai series they had already licenced), namely the original series, Kuuga, Ryuki, Zero-One and the Heisei Generations FOREVER movie. Agito and 555 are streaming on TokuHD (as I mentioned before) and Amazons is streaming on Amazon Prime.

While Toei does have an official tokusatsu YouTube channel, where they stream their library of series similar to how Tsuburaya does with their YouTube channel, it is only available in Japan. In April 2020, Toei began uploading their series on Toei Tokusatsu World, a separate YouTube channel created specifically for their Western fans that immediately got taken down by copyright strikes on their own content. Aside from streaming Metal Hero series and other toku series nobody cares about, they’ve only bothered to upload the first two episodes of every Kamen Rider series on there, with no plans to follow through with the rest of the episodes (Super Sentai is only available in Asia because of the last paragraph). Apparently, the official subtitled release of the first two Kamen Rider episodes was funded by the J-LOD scheme (Japan Content LOcalisation and Distribution) established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and that they hope that fans would provide subtitles for the rest of the episodes. The only problem is that YouTube discontinued its community captions feature last year and I have been unable to find any evidence of Toei suggesting such a thing from their fans, so I can only assume that they either weren’t transparent about it or had no intention of doing so at all. You can see why I prefer Tsuburaya’s approach better. Frankly, I think Toei should have just uploaded TV-Nihon’s releases and called it a day.

There’s a Europoor sperg on Twitter (and the TV-Nihon forums) by the name of HowlingSnail who always complains about tokusatsu series only being licensed in the US. Like him or not, you’ve got to admit that he does have a point. Even in the age of VPNs and multi-region DVD players, the entire world has to be considered when it comes to international licencing and expansion because believe it or not, the “West” isn’t made up of just the US alone. Things shouldn’t have to be like this, and yet, things are the way they are.

Around the time that TV-Nihon (apparently) got C&D’d, Western fans were pissed that The Tokusatsu Network posted news of Toei streaming Kamen Rider Drive on their Japanese-exclusive channel, rubbing salt into their wounds, while also not saying anything about the current situation with fansubs. In TokuNet’s defence, I can understand why they wouldn’t do that; on top of being based in Japan, they’ve done interviews with various actors and producers on their YouTube channel, plus their senior editor, Tom Constantine, has made cameo appearances on a few episodes and movies. So if anything, TokuNet are closer to Toei than any other news site covering tokusatsu.

In summary, Toei are complicit in enabling this shitstorm that could have been preventable if they weren’t so incompetent and out-of-touch with their Western fanbase. If more scrutiny was exercised during the negotiation of Western licencing, we probably wouldn’t have had the TokuHD disaster. If Toei were more transparent with their intentions for streaming their toku series in the West, fansub groups would be more than happy to contribute to the official subtitles and/or take their (unofficial) releases down (though I don’t necessarily agree with this practice entirely). Or maybe if Toei actually made a media release saying that it was actually them who sent the C&D’s to KRDL, NewZect and TV-Nihon, we wouldn’t have had this debacle and this post would just be me talking about the death knell for tokusatsu fansubs (which would probably be just this section of the post).

In the lack of free and easily accessible means to access media protected behind paywalls and geoblocks, people will always turn to things like “illegal” streaming sites and torrenting, particularly when they believe that multi-million dollar companies don’t deserve their hard-earned money just because they keep bugging everyone to give it all to them.

(Also, I know someone called me out in one of my linked posts where I described Toei’s attitude to copyright as “Jewish”, but fuck you, my stance doesn’t change just because a few people got their fee-fees hurt from poking their noses into other people’s business. If Toei changes their attitude and gives us a plan for international distribution, then I might soften my stance.)

Shirakura and the Western fanbase: lolcows in their own right

So it’s been established that it’s a bad idea to tag Shirakura or anyone affiliated with Toei regarding this situation with the TV-Nihon C&D (or fansubs or leaks or whatever in general) because we don’t have the full details and they probably have no idea of what’s going on. Look, I know Shirakura is worthy of criticism for some things, but this is not one of them because he is the director of planning and production at Toei - he’s not responsible for international distribution or copyright takedowns. All that these spergs on TokuTwitter have done is prove that Shirakura has no idea what is going on and made Japanese fans aware (to some extent) that spergs like them exist. The irony behind Shirakura’s actions as the producer of some Kamen Rider series and his interactions with Western fans is the reason why I lovingly coin “The Shirakura Paradox” as a phrase to describe it.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people on TokuTwitter are very paranoid and reactionary. They believe in conspiracy theories like “TV-Nihon actually got C&D’d” and “Over-Time got C&D’d as well” when 1) the notice they got wasn’t a C&D per se or even a DMCA and 2) Over-Time never got C&D’d, though they did help TV-Nihon analyse the email and decided to stop posting about their releases when they were convinced that the email was somewhat legit (because a Toei email can’t be faked due to the Sender Policy Framework, or SPF).

With regards to the “reactionary” part, the main example relating to this is twt_tokusatsu, who has been blamed for causing this debacle with fansubs because Shirakura replied to her tweets (that did NOT mention fansubs) with a joke. However, another big example is WeiWenn and Ichi of the Castranger podcast. “What?”, I hear you ask in a surprised tone, “What do they have to do with all this?” If you want to know the story behind them, take a look at my Shirakura Paradox post under “You are supposed not to know about Trinity”.

I know this debacle was two years ago and that Ichi has deserved enough blame (and apologised) for posting scans from a toy catalog targeted at distributors and not consumers, but why the hell is WeiWenn being blamed when he only mentioned “Trinity” (in verbatim) possibly referring to Agito Trinity and not Zi-O Trinity? WeiWenn has been sent death threats because entitled manbabies with gunts can never read the latest leaks about new toys. As a result, WeiWenn has deleted his Twitter account, claiming that Shirakura’s joke was the last straw (Ichi has also deleted his Twitter account as well). Anyone who blames WeiWenn (or Ichi) for somehow causing the TV-Nihon C&D’s is just as retarded, if not more, than the people who still blame twt_tokusatsu, especially when the damage has already been done and the debacle is already two years old. As such, I stand behind #RespectWeiWenn and #RespectIchi. For more information, check out this Twitter thread and the below video.

Things like this are the reason why the tokusatsu fanbase in the West is seemingly on thin ice with Toei. If you ask me, TokuTwitter as a whole deserves to be discussed and mocked on sites like 4chan and Kiwi Farms, because some individuals seem to act in a manner resembling lolcows. On top of that, I wish that tokusatsu fans in Japan would talk more about this retardation and join in the circlejerking with their Western counterparts who are more sophisticated and logical.

In conclusion, the whole debacle with Toei and TV-Nihon has been a ticking time bomb fuelled by Toei’s incompetence and lack of awareness of their Western fanbase, who are no saints either with their lolcow attitudes. Tsuburaya is pretty based with their international distribution and TV-Nihon’s typesetters should #ReleaseTheFonts.

2/28/2021:

So I went to the drs appointment, a new one that specializes in fibroids. She took her time in seeing me, but I guess she was backed up. Anyways, my only option now cause of the size of it is surgery. There are 2 different types of surgery and 2 different doctors do them. One does traditional and the other is I believe with lasers and has more risks. I decided then and there that I want to do the surgery, but with her leaving the practice it wasn't going to happen any time soon nor with her. So she recommends these 2 other doctors. I walked out of that appointment sad, eye opening and well unsure. I was a bit annoyed during it cause of how long it took for me to see her, the nurse who checked me in cut me off several times when trying to explain some stuff, my ultrasounds didn't make it through to them/her on time for this appointment and now her leaving the practice. My husband, after all this, just told me not to have the surgery. He worries about me going under and just in general having surgery. I think he's more afraid than I am about this. I guess it'll become real once the surgery appointment is scheduled and I'm literally on a hospital bed. I've never had surgery and never been put under, so I can understand his concerns and his fear.

Alas with all this in mind I decided a couple of things from this. I'm going to wait for the surgery, but I'm going to have it. I'm wanting to wait til after July of this year. Why you may ask. I need to accumulate PTO from now til then since my family is planning a family trip. I need the hours solely for that, for them and we deserve it after last year. We will all still be careful, but we deserve to have fun. By the time that is over I will schedule the appointment which may take time to set up since I will need to meet up with this doctor and let them do their consultation with me and get the basics. By the time the surgery is set up, it might be August or so and I would've been officially a year with my job. With that in mind I will be able to use or set up LOA or a form of FMLA of sorts and won't need to use my PTO for any of this, which is my point in waiting and not wanting to do this quickly. If I do it at any point now I will be subject to use my PTO to recover. I see no fairness with that. I rather wait and it won't hurt me if I had this thing in me for this long to grow as big as it is, so another 5 months or more won't hurt me. I know I just want it gone cause of how "unsecure" it makes me feel about my looks or weight (makes me look I'm pregnant, 5 months pregnant, when I'm not), the struggle I went through with one of the symptoms it gave me and the struggle of finding the right pant size within a couple of months (from size 5 to 9 in a couple of months). Yeah, you may be thinking that this shouldn't bother me, especially how small I am, if you personally know me in person cause I'm skinny and have a small frame, even with this, but it's still there. Now I want to fix it in case I do want to get pregnant and have no high risk pregnancy. If we don't go this route then at least I got rid of it and others before they got bigger and worse. So hopefully my plan goes through for this.

I also decided to stay in the same department for a year. I have shadowed other departments and some seem to have more restrictions or things I just don't want to stress about. Plus I want my resume to look good in being in the same department for at least a year. I just will take my time with all of my calls, not think of this new program they got going with grades and extra pay regarding these grades and percentages for them. If I make it then good I'll get extra money in my check, if I don't then I don't. Sure it's nice to gain more pay for doing my job, but I'm supposed to be doing for what I'm supposed to be doing already and I don't want to push myself even more or stressing myself just to gain more money. If I do good then I did good, if I don't then I don't. I won't stress over it and with any of my calls. With this in mind, I've been with them for 6 months and I gained an increase in pay and I'm ok with it cause I deserve it cause I've been doing good as my supervisor has said. I'm doing good. I also decided to get my badge in case I will need to head into the building any time soon.

My husband has decided to get a shed for our belongings in the storage place. He wants to save more money while we are here and so he wants to buy a shed to move our things into it and move them into out lot/property. So we're thinking on this but I think he's moving too fast on it. He wants it done in 2 months or so. I get why cause of the weather, but I don't know if it'll be possible in that time frame. We shall see, we still got trees to remove and the rest of the storage shed that was there already to get rid of. I think this is it for now. I also recently found our favorite soda again stocked in stores. I thought that they may have discontinued it since we didn't see it on shelves for over a year, but I found it without looking for it. I definitely need to cut my nails after all the typos I had to fix while typing this post.

two articles on psychiatric medication

I'm planning on writing a bigger psychiatry-critical piece soon about how the overwhelming majority of both leftists and trans people that I know believe themselves to be necessarily reliant on either psychiatric medication or therapy or both, and permit themselves (rather, semi-deliberately evacuate themselves of agency in identification with those harming them, I do not wish to victim blame) to be extensively abused by the psychological-psychiatric medical system in a fruitless search of validation for their malaise in some horrible cycle of iatrogenic dependence.

In particular, I know at least two transgender people personally (one male, one female) who are so heavily medicated that I have few compunctions about calling what is being done to them a kind of chemical lobotomy. They have both been left minimally functional and dramatically changed in personality by their "treatments", but both still seek out psychiatry to endorse their transgender interpretation of themselves, despite the fact their doctors are brutally and with little humanity "re-adjusting" them out of inconvenient behavior through repeated hospitalization, high and probably inappropriate doses of lithium alongside multiple other medications, and of course their whole gender treatment paradigm.

So I am continually startled by not only the distinct lack of modern leftist criticism of psychiatric medical institutions but outright collaboration with these institutions. Many people in the broader community-- whether radical queers or lesbian feminists-- purport to value self-reliance and peer support networks, distrusting well-funded and politically undermining officially-sanctioned institutions, but I am not sure I know a single gay person in my everyday life who is not regularly attending counseling sessions of some variety or another or who is not taking psychiatric medications-- prescribed by a psychiatrist that they see monthly or sooner-- that they believe they cannot live without.

One of the reasons I am so critical is that I was once one of these people: I have been on at least fourteen different psychiatric medications in various combinations throughout my life, and both I and many of my doctors believed that I was so critically ill that I could not live a meaningful or even minimally functional life without them. I, or my depression-- we were coextensive, inseparable, my personhood was inconvenient to assessment, I suppose-- was considered so deeply treatment resistant that I had multiple psychiatrists tell me to my face that it might not be possible to help me (of course, while still holding the prescription pad). I was lucky to never have been on lithium or Lamictal, nor subjected to electroshock, but all were floated as an unfortunate but potentially necessary part of my treatment plan. I was indeed considered such a hopeless case that I was actually approved for disability payments for mental illness, without appeal, an extreme rarity in the United States, especially at such a young age (23). I do not know for sure or not whether I could have set the grounds to get my shit together without the intervention of psychiatry-- I did survive long enough to leave an abusive home, after all-- but I do not consider it a coincidence that I did not get my shit together until I stopped having a therapist whispering in my ear and stopped having these substances in my body.

I don't think you can understand the modern transgender movement-- whether the push to identify various gender-distressed people as having a disorder or just niche lifestyle in need of medicalized affirmation, or the ideology that demands we believe that gender identity is an essential characteristic of human beings-- without understanding the history of psychiatry as a coercive practice attempting to normalize the socially abnormal, often in service to extremely oppressive interests, and the history of therapy as inherently individualizing and anti-political, an authority-laden substitute for discernment and appropriate and healthy social feedback.

In any case, I want to keep it short today, and it's with this context I want to share with you two articles, one from the New Yorker and the other from NPR.

The first article, by the amazing writer Rachel Aviv, who has previously covered dense and thorny ethical issues regarding psychiatric treatment and the construction of mental illness, is a critical article about how many modern psychiatric patients come to take consecutive strings of multiple psychiatric medications, coming to have and then losing faith in their doctors and medications to fix their ills. It follows a woman who decided to withdraw from her medications and the people she meets as she must build her own support network during her process of withdrawal, given her unhealthy dependence on the psychiatric network treating her and the psychiatric industry's public denial that medication discontinuation symptoms even occur, nonetheless can have severe and life-disrupting effects. Aviv gives a contextual history and science of the use of several classes of modern psychiatric medications, including their incredible limitations given psychiatry's practice and value system; in a description that will read eerily familiar to any detransitioned woman, she states that "there are almost no studies on how or when to go off psychiatric medications, a situation that has created what he [Allen Frances, chair of the DSM-4 committee] calls a 'national public-health experiment.'"

An important excerpt relevant to both general psychiatry and the practice of transgender medicine and health care:

A decade after the invention of antidepressants, randomized clinical studies emerged as the most trusted form of medical knowledge, supplanting the authority of individual case studies. By necessity, clinical studies cannot capture fluctuations in mood that may be meaningful to the patient but do not fit into the study’s categories. This methodology has led to a far more reliable body of evidence, but it also subtly changed our conception of mental health, which has become synonymous with the absence of symptoms, rather than with a return to a patient’s baseline of functioning, her mood or personality before and between episodes of illness. “Once you abandon the idea of the personal baseline, it becomes possible to think of emotional suffering as relapse—instead of something to be expected from an individual’s way of being in the world,” Deshauer told me. For adolescents who go on medications when they are still trying to define themselves, they may never know if they have a baseline, or what it is. “It’s not so much a question of Does the technology deliver?” Deshauer said. “It’s a question of What are we asking of it?”

The second article, which also contains a longer-form audio interview with the author, is about a new book by Harvard historian of science Anne Harrington called Mind Fixers: Psychiatry's Troubled Search for the Biology of Mental Illness. What I found particularly striking about her interview is Harrington's assertions about the state of psychiatry and psychiatric pharmaceutical research now-- she claims that the psychiatric medication market has stalled because of research finding that many common antidepressant medications work no better than placebo versions, and that pharmaceutical companies therefore are de-investing from psychiatric medication research and development because they can no longer use their previous strategy of slightly tweaking the chemical components of previously monetizeable drugs. She states there have been very few innovations in finding new classes of antidepressant medications in particular (the most easily marketed psychiatric drugs, for whom the target population can easily be expanded).

I think her points here are crucial to understanding exactly why pharmaceutical companies and psychiatry have become increasingly invested in transgender health care and in expanding the market for hormones and transgender-related surgeries through promoting interventions like HRT and "top surgery" as elective procedures suggested as ways to "affirm a patient's identity" rather than "treat a disorder". The gender critical blogger Brie Jontry, a mother of a formerly trans-identified female teen, calls this practice and ideology "identity medicine", a term I find useful to describe the unholy conglomeration that is the individualized medicalization of gender-related distress and the advertising of medical treatments (particularly those provided by cosmetic surgeons) as ways to facilitate self-expression and authenticity. Given increasing attempts by gender doctors to create patients permanently dependent on exogenous hormones (those children left with non-functional gonads after treatment with GnRH agonists like Lupron and cross-sex hormones, or those transgender people who have had theirs removed) or to convince patients that gender dysphoria is a life-long, inescapable condition that they had already failed in not treating/affirming earlier (because you Always Were A Boy), I have to note parallels with psychiatric medicine's anti-recovery, anti-patient-autonomy assertions about other recently marketed drugs such as atypical antipsychotics, on which patients are also purportedly permanently dependent, or antidepressants (as above) where withdrawal symptoms purportedly prove that a patient is doomed to relapse should she cease psychiatric treatment. "Informed consent" and the formation of transgender resources outside a "gatekeeping" paradigm, where patients need not seek insurance approval nor the opinions of several doctors of different specialties for transgender medical interventions, nor wait a set period of time prior to transitioning, is often lauded as progressive and anti-institution by radical transgender activists, who can rightly see issue with a psychiatry put in charge of policing the intimate personal beliefs, coping mechanisms for misogyny or homophobia, and individual gender expression of its patients. However, I can't but see this as part of a new and terrifying medical strategy regarding transgenderism, where a loss of patient agency is replaced with the false sense of consumer choice; we have seen this in other realms of psychiatry, where forms of psychiatric incarceration were rebranded as the choice to take a break or "finally" seek help after self-negatingly denying it for so long, where tranquilizing drugs were rebranded as assistive devices for women struggling to have it all, and where high-risk, heavily sedating antipsychotic medications were rebranded as ways to give other psychiatric medications a "boost" should you still experience unhelpful emotions after complying with psychiatric treatment. "Gender dysphoria" is increasingly nebulous, something you might have had all along if you experienced various forms of generic malaise or failed to have your suffering sufficiently validated and thereby dissipated by psychiatry; funny that we've seen this before with other conditions and their treatments, and psychiatry somehow always comes up with a money-making solution for its own problems.

My Journey

I would like to share my story because it took me years upon years to rise to the Phoenix that I am today.

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies Beyond The Lights is Blackbird, both by Nina Simon as well as Noni. The lyrics in Noni’s version, second verse, are:

Fibromyalgia will claim me no longer

I first started feeling pain in my back around the age of 14. I have had several injuries: fractured left wrist, fractured left hip, torn MCL in left knee, blunt force trauma to my left eye multiple times, broken toes, broken fingers, swollen meniscus, bursitis, sciatica, solar plexus issues, sprains & strains especially in my neck and spine as well as majority of joints and other issues. All of this was discovered from X-rays and MRIs. The doctors could see my spine very out of alignments with some slight unnatural curvatures acquired from poor posture and other bad habits. Massage, topicals (especially CBD, tiger balm, biofreeze, and Penetrex), and stretches/yoga helped tremendously. By the time I was 17, the pain was so unbearable that I could only lay in bed crying and I had to resign from my job & also had a tough time working ever since.

My father took me to a chiropractor named Dr. Bob W. He adjusted me several times, however the adjustments would not hold. My mother took me to the doctor and he said I needed to see a neurologist. I went and had to get several tests done including a nerve test where they insert a needle into your nerves in your arm. They could see that my muscles were twitching but could not find the cause.

I was referred to physical therapy. I worked hard for 3 months but my pain only got worse. Eventually my pcp prescribed me muscle relaxers, tramadol, and a seizure medication in college. A few days later while taking mt world civilizations exam, I noticed that I could not sit still. The seizure medication was causing tremors which my pcp said was an adverse affect and I was having micro seizures. They took me off of the medication however it took around 96 hours to get out of my system according to the half-life. I still actually have a mild tremor/twitches to this day. After that was the trigger point injections which were very painful as the doctor inserted a need in all of the fibromyalgia trigger points generally near joints as well as nerves and vertebra. Eventually those stopped helping as well.

Then I tried marijuana for the first time. I used to be very against all drugs (straight edge XXX), however marijuana saved my life. Most of my pain was instantly eased away. So I went from social smoker, to buying on occasion, to full bud smoker is a matter of months.

My mother was upset about it though and the stress of moving in with my mom and only smoking bed when she was asleep and outside at that made me pick up the horrible habit of smoking cigarettes. I tried K2 but we all know the horrible adverse affects of that. I first got the Marlboro Skyline but then they discontinued them so I switched to menthol. I just recently switched to menthol golds/lights and actually prefer American spirit but they are so expensive. I started rolling my own cigarettes and blending different tobaccos for a a smoother taste. Then I remembered my friend Age in college used to smoke herbal cigarettes, Luna I believe to be the brand but I think they discontinued them. So I decided with my business (Skull Treats), we will bring back herbal cigarettes and detox from tobacco together. I have been using foot detox pads and they are amazing, another product I am working on.

I actually mix CBD with my THC and it is delicious and makes the bud last longer. I am working on getting my medical marijuana card as well as assisting in legalizing recreational marijuana (clinical trials are being planned). Marijuana assists with so much and I had even read before in a scholarly article that it helps detox your lungs of the harmful tobacco byproducts. I don’t believe that experiment was replicated enough in diverse enough populations, but another research experiment I would love to try.

A slight bio, I graduated from Robert Morris University (BS in Biology 2013), attended Chatham University (MS in biology 2014; did not finish), and Devry University (MS in project management 2014; did not graduate). I am currently attending Harvard University (Certifications in Spanish, Japanese, Psychology of Personal Growth, and Oracles - Omens & prophecies 2021) as well as Shaw Academy (Tarot, Crystal Healing, Alternative Therapies, Jewelry Design, Video Game Design & Development, Mini MBA, Coding, Writing 2021). I did my research and seen that Savella was the newest drug approved to treat fibromyalgia. My doctors had not heard of it so they needed to conduct their own research. After a month, they agreed to let me try it and it has completely changed my life! The only pain I have left is my knees and joints which are apparently arthritis which I will get treatment for as well. My doctor recommended aqua therapy as well as occupational therapy for small more focused tasks.

This is a photo of part of the fake stalking order that has been forced on me on 3-15-2021 by the county courts terror cell. When I say the “county courts terror cell” what I mean by that is the courthouse was attacked at some point in the past, about twenty-three years ago is my estimate. The court offices and personnel all were killed, or taken captive at that time. The staff, judges, bailiffs, county tax assessors office, county forestry, county comptroller, county clerk, and other county offices that reside within the Josephine County Courthouse were also all taken over at that time, and, the Grants Pass Police Department is HQ’d there, and the Josephine County Sheriff was also HQ’d at the courthouse, but the sheriff’s office has since moved to F Street behind the Walmart. All of those county offices have been under control and occupation of the Canadian terror army since that time. There are also Screen Actor Guild terror commanders there at the courthouse playing key roles as judges and bailiffs and stenographers.

The details laid out here are such that it has become a crime for me to be on my own property. The details spelled out there are such that if I am seen walking on my driveway, or, if I am seen at my mailbox to get my mail, then, the plaintiff of the stalking charge can and will call the sheriff to arrest me for doing those activities.

I am also told that I must have a mental evaluation, however, although the judge verbally said I must go to a place called “Options of Southern Oregon“, the stalking order does not specify any particular mental evaluation service provider, nor does the order specify a time frame for such mental evaluation to take place, or does the stalking order specify who is to pay for such an evaluation.

The circumstances are such that I must remain out of visible range of a new neighbor to the neighborhood who apparently moved to Jackpine in the month of February 2021 at some point, a neighbor that I have only seen on a TV screen in a courtroom. I don’t even know what the person looks like enough to know if that person is the one I am supposed to avoid. That, and the plaintiff introduced a female at the court hearing who was also presented on the TV screen, one that is not mentioned in the stalking petition and I don‘t know her name.

The name of the petitioning plaintiff is questionable, as I recognize that same name as someone who did some work at my home many years ago and subsequently robbed me of personal items.

For now, I am unable to do any walking, the leg poisoning injuries are extremely confining on their own, the pain associated with walking has prevented me from going very far on foot, and when I did make attempts to check my mail this past ten few weeks, there has been always someone there ready to try to run me over or shoot me with a cross-bow.

I remain optimistic that the wound will heal enough that I can walk again without agony, but my optimism is waning at best.

The order includes items number 1 - 6 are checked, and items 8 and 17 are checked, and those are the items which I am bound to and subject to. I am under the impression that once a stalking order becomes a final order such as this one is, there is no way to reverse the order, it is a lifetime order, one without possibility of appeal.

I chose to share this online because of the place called “Options of Southern Oregon“ was specified at the hearing but details on the order are vague about that. It’s vague by design.

There are two places in Josephine county that are county service providers that deal with mental illness, one is Options of Southern Oregon, and the other is called Crisis Resolution Center. I have been ordered to go to both places in the past, and what I learned there at both of those places, is that they are there for the purpose of eliminating people who cause problems for the courts, that is to say that persons who have knowledge of the level of corruption at the courthouse such that the knowledge is beyond corruption and is indeed knowledge that all of the county services and more have all been taken over by the Canadian terror army and the county facilities are manned with Screen Actor Guild actors who’s job is to create a false reality by making illusion that there never was a terror takeover at the county offices.

That is what Options is there for, among other things such as a profit center where county funds are laundered, channeled, used for advancing terrorism.

Crisis Resolution Center (C.R.C.) is more sinister than is Options of Southern Oregon, CRC is part of Asante but is also part of Josephine County Services. Crisis Resolution Center is associated to “Partner”, “Companion“, “Side Kick” production at a place called “The Pleasure Dome” and perhaps other such underground surgery centers where kidnapped US Citizens are subject to cruel and horrifying experimental surgeries such that many of the victims don‘t resemble human beings after the five year transformation procedures are completed. Once completed, the victims are called “Partners” and other names, are kept as pets by SAG members, and some are also used as specially trained disposable terror soldiers by the terror army, those victims who become terror soldiers are often the surgical experimental specimens that did not work as planned during the five year transformation period.

Many of the victims are US Military service men and service women taken as experimental surgical specimens. Oregon Health Science University where the Veteran‘s Administration Hospital is, is another place, below ground nine floors, where experimental surgeries are performed on kidnapped US citizens and military. Doenrbecker Children’s Hospital and Shriner’s Children’s Hospital is also on the same campus at OHSU, and I suspect those places are used for selecting experimental surgery specimens also.

I already survived Options of Southern Oregon at least once, the assassin who attacked me there wound up going over a second floor railing, and fell into the lobby below as I was being interviewed by a “Mental Evaluator”. There are never any official reports such as these, that’s because the local authorities who would normally make such official reports of someone who fell over a railing, are all part of the terror army. I have seen a large jet airplane crash at Medford airport and destroy the runway, but no official report was made public.

At Crisis Resolution Center, they are people who devise the medieval killing contraptions that I have already described in great detail on this account, I also survived CRC, was shot at inside while being interviewed for mental evaluation. These evaluations are all generated as a result of having knowledge of terror take over and reporting what I know in ways I am able to, the reports made are such that they include the people who send me to the evaluation, which in reality is a take-out center where people like me are killed regularly, until there are no more to kill. That is the condition of Josephine county ... there are no US Citizens left alive, I am the last one.

In media, and in person, the term: “Mental Illness” should first be translated as: “Someone who knows too much about the terror takeover of USA”.

The horrible poison Corona Attack COVID Rash:

(There is no corona virus, I was attacked by someone who stabbed me with a syringe filled with poisons, that was done to get me to go to the hospital, where I would be killed and replaced had I gone to the hospital. They do not treat US Citizens at the hospital for medical conditions any more, US Citizens are killed at hospitals while the Canadian terror army and their Screen Actor Guild commanders get the very best medical treatment there is at the same hospitals.

The photo above shows not much improvement from yesterday, however, it shows a great deal of improvement since the day before, the difference is that I discontinued using the Equate brand Anesthetic and Pain Relieving Ointment (Walmart generic neo-sporin), and things began to improve withing 24 hours.

The photo above shows that my foot continues to turn blue, and is painful.

Side view inside right shin is where the most poison is still beneath the skin. Those red areas I suspect are tissue that is saturated with some kind of poison, I suspect the poison was automotive battery acid injected into my shin while I was sleeping in my home.

The outside of the right leg, I am a Smurf.

This is the other leg. That rash only began to appear about ten days ago. There was absolutely nothing but good healthy clear skin there until recently. That rash does not look or feel like any of the symptoms I was having on the right leg before or after the attack with poisons. I have no explanation, nor do I have a guess about what is happening on the left shin.

The people who do the actual physical attack in USA, are from Canada, most came from Quebec. Local Conditions:

I don‘t have much to say about the usual things I might observe in the neighborhood on a short walk to the mail, because I am unable to physically walk that far as of yesterday. Before yesterday, I was willing to force myself to continue to walk despite the severity of the leg pain, however, the terror soldiers in the neighborhood prevented me from going farther than my driveway gate. Today I tried to take a walk to the mailbox about an hour ago and could not continue another step, had to turn around and come back to the house as the pain is changing to a different kind of pain. The pain is in my knee now, is not something I have ever felt before, is a completely new flavor of pain, comes with instability, wobbly step.

Today, throughout the day, some of the things that happened are:

I noticed one terror airforce airplane at about somewhere between 11:00 am. and 1:00 pm.

Last night I noticed that someone had torn the tarp that I have covering my truck and I went to reposition the tarp last night, but it was too torn, would not cover the leaky area, so I left it there on top of the cab, just sort of half-ass folded. I remember saying out loud “Tomorrow I will come out here and someone will have hung the tarp over the side mirror, I guarantee it” ... tonight I went outside and the tarp was hanging from the side mirror. The significance is that the tarp draped from the side mirror makes it appear as though there is someone standing there by the truck door wearing a hoodie, and that is why I mentioned it to no one last night. It’s that the local terrorists are somewhat predictable, they take oportunity like that to scare someone. The tarp looked a lot like someone there by the truck door, as I thought it would last night. Someone from Lithia Dodge Dealer on 7th Street in Grants Pass comes to try to steal my truck at least four times per year, and when they do, they use Three Boys Towing to bring a flat bed car carrier along with them for taking the truck, and when that happens, I can sometimes hear the conversation they have while snooping around the truck with the tarp over it, they always are anxious to see inside the truck, they want to take the tarp off of it, and sometimes the thief/terror soldiers of Lithia Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Plymouth argue about taking the tarp off of the truck while they are deciding if it’s a good time to steal the truck or not.

Last night, I knew the Monroe terror cell would report to Lithia Dodge or to Three Boys Towing that “The tarp is off of the truck at StoneMan’s House”. (that is the extent to how closely the terror army reps at Monroe’s watch and report conditions at my house for attacking me.

Today, at about noon, I heard someone outside close by my dining room window, it was the sound of a chainsaw running for only about one second, as if someone was on my porch, started up a chainsaw, revved it up to maximum, then shut off the chainsaw. When I looked outside, there was no one there that I could see out of the window. I chose not to open the front door at that time to look closer.

Later in the day, as I was taking the photos of my leg, someone at Strong’s terrpr cell started up a four-stroke offroad motorcycle and began to ride that around in circles at Strong’s, it was a red colored motorcycle, and the person only made two laps around as far as I could see, then the motorcycle was no longer visible or audible for the rest of the day. The motorcycle engine started as I took a photo of my leg, it was as if the photo button is what started the motorcycle. Yesterday, as I was taking the same kind of photos, a gun shot was fired at the instant I clicked the photo button, as if the photo button is the thing that made the gun shot sound happen at Strong’s terror cell. The terror bastards can see, live, in real time, everything that I am pointing the camera at, so, I suspect they were watching the software they use for that, and maybe have a “Midi” sort of arrangement that activates sounds over there, when I push buttons on my phone. I have suspected that for a long time, as those kinds of coincidental sounds happen often when I push buttons on my phone. It works like an alarm system... if I push a button, that means I am going to make a phone call, and the terror bastards absolutely will not allow me to make any phone calls. Such an arrangement that makes an alarm go off when I push a button on my phone is exactly the kind of thing that could be how the bastards know when I use the phone to make a call, and that is how they would know when to make arrangements to re-route the call to a specified call center where other people than the ones I want to speak with are already practiced and prepared to say their lines and do an act for fooling the US national security personnel who are also monitoring my calls. The security people continue to trust the local authorities, so, they insist on being fooled all of the time, and simply demand that they will continue to forever be fooled by the local authorities that they continue to trust.

An incoming call came to my phone today at a 11:47 am. from 541-406-3004, I did not answer, I don’t know who it was, I do know it was a terror cell doing some kind of terror scenario, as only terror cells can reach my phone, and I can only reach terror occupied phone numbers if I try to make a call. There was no message from the incoming call, and it’s possible that other people with Stingray surveillance or Kingfish units answered the call and spoke to someone who called my phone number, which I suspect is the case for most of the incoming phone calls that come to my phone.

I didn‘t go outside or open the front door today except for taking some pictures on the front porch and trying to take a walk a little while ago. It was quiet for the most part, if not for that red motorcycle, that airplane, my phone ring, that chainsaw on my front porch, and some geese, I would not have heard any sounds today at all.

There are a lot of lights on at Chartrand’s Unit B, where the US national security are often lured to go when the come to investigate the things I am trying to get help for, but the national security keep trusting the local authorities, and they are the ones who send the nsa to the wrong places, intentionally and for the kill, by court order.

Let’s discuss the ongoing mystery of the murder of Pink Diamond, shall we?

I want to (not so) briefly go over all the information, both concrete and speculative, that we have about the shattering of the Earth Gem Colony’s former overseer as of The Trial, as well as provide some theories as to what might have happened.

Keep in mind going forward that due to the current lack of evidence in either direction that we have at the moment, I will be operating under the assumption that the most widely believed story, that Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond at the end of the Rebellion, is correct. However, I am not dismissing the possibility that this is not the case. The Crewniverse writers would not introduce this new element to the story if they were not going to go anywhere with it; they want us thinking about it. And so we shall, right here and now.

So, until the newest Steven Universe episodes were aired/leaked, we have been given only one story as to the nature of how the Crystal Gem Rebellion ended: Rose Quartz, in a very uncharacteristic move, shattered Pink Diamond. However, in the episode The Trial, we were presented with evidence that Rose may not have been the killer, as well as the possibility that one of the Diamonds was responsible. Lets begin with the evidence in Rose’s defense.

As outlined by Blue Zircon, Pink Diamond’s death would have been nothing but good news for the Crystal Gem army, as she was the Earth Colony’s overseer and direct link to Homeworld. However, Rose was a pacifist at heart, going so far as to having her primary(?) weapon be designed to disrupt a Gem’s physical form but be unable to shatter her Gem. She would never want to shatter Pink Diamond even if she needed to, and now the question has been raised as to whether she even could.

The story most Gems know is that Rose surprised Pink Diamond outside her palanquin in Korea, and incapacitated and shattered her in an instant. However, there are several glaring holes in this story. Rose would have had to had gotten close to Pink Diamond without alerting her, which would have had to be extremely difficult to accomplish.  Rose’s desertion and treason against Homeworld had lead to her being recognized as a major threat by this point, and as a result, the Rose Quartz line of Gems had been discontinued as a safety precaution. This means that Rose would have been unable to blend in with her entourage unless she found a way to disguise herself as another kind of Gem, either through shapeshifting or some technological means. Pink Diamond’s entourage at the time consisted of several Agate bodyguards, as well as some Sapphire advisers who would have seen Rose coming because, as established,

,as well as her personal Pearl, who would have informed her of any immediate danger. So it is unlikely that Rose could have snuck-up and surprised her. While Rose could have launched a direct assault that resulted in Pink Diamond’s death, the important thing is that if she did do it, there is virtually no way she could have done it in a way that matches up with the prevailing story that she appeared in front of her and shattered her in an instant, as her Agate guards would defend her.

There’s also the issue of the murder weapon. According to Blue Diamond, Pink Diamond was killed with a sword; however the only sword Rose Quartz was known to wield was the aforementioned sword that was designed not to shatter Gems.

This means either Roses possessed another sword we are unaware of, or that Blue Diamond is wrong about the weapon used.

Now that we have discussed the evidence pointing toward Rose being innocent, let’s get speculative.

In The Trial, Blue Zircon hypothesized that Pink Diamond’s killer would likely be someone already close to her, whom she would have trusted enough to let her guard down around, and whom her entourage would have allowed to get close, as well as someone with the authority to cover it up later. She then boldly claims that either Blue or Yellow Diamond must be the killer (before both she and her rival attorney are poofed in a scene that was equally hilarious and terrifying).

On that note let us discuss our other possible suspects, the remaining Diamonds. First, Blue Diamond.

I think we can safely rule out Blue Diamond as the killer, as in every meeting with her thus far, she has been in serious grieving over Pink Diamond’s death and has been trying numerous things to cope, from keeping humans as kind of pets to preserve a part of Pink Diamond’s legacy, to desiring serious retribution against Rose Quartz, and wanting to get to the bottom of her murder. While it is true that some murderers feel regret for their actions and sympathize with their victims, Blue Diamond has not given me the impression that she would have had anything to gain with Pink Diamond out of the way.

Let us then move on to Yellow Diamond.

While it still seems somewhat unlikely that she killed Pink Diamond, Yellow Diamond’s attempts to shut down Blue Zircon during The Trial when she was pointing out flaws in the story of Pink Diamond’s death could possibly be seen as desperation, as if she was trying to keep the truth from coming out. The question then becomes “If Yellow Diamond killed Pink Diamond, why did she do it? What could she hope to gain?”

It could have been something as simple as a jealous grudge or the two had a falling out. I, however, have a theory that Yellow Diamond could have had a much more complex motive.

It is established that Yellow Diamond is Gemkind’s military commander, overseeing all conquest and combat matters within the Empire. Therefore, her forces would have been the bulk of all soldiers tasked with putting down the Rebellion, despite the fact that Earth was outside her jurisdiction. we also know that Homeworld abandoned the Earth when it became clear that they were fighting a losing battle. But what if they came to that conclusion even before that?

What if Yellow Diamond developed a plan to re-motivate her soldiers into fighting, and make the Crystal Gems such villains to Homeworld that they could never be forgiven? Perhaps Yellow diamond decided to have Pink Diamond killed and then pinned the blame on Rose Quartz. This would make Pink Diamond a martyr, and Rose would become such a hated figure that Homeworld would pour endless resources into defeating her and retaking the Earth Colony.

Of course, if this was her plan, then it backfired spectacularly, as Pink Diamond’s death was the event that lead to Homeworld giving up on the Earth, leading to the mass exodus of Gems still loyal to Homeworld, and their final attack which corrupted most of the Crystal Gems, which officially ended the War. This could be further reason as to why Yellow Diamond wants to see Earth destroyed so badly, so that no one will ever learn the truth of her great mistake.

And this leads us to our last possible suspect, White Diamond.

A character we know so little about, she has yet to be mentioned by name and all we have seen of her is her portrait and her silhouette.

All of our knowledge of her is speculative. We believe that she is the leader of the Diamonds, as if you look at their portraits

you will notice that the number of celestial bodies under her control is equal to that off all the other Diamonds combined (33 in total). This would make her the empress of the Gem Empire, with the other Diamonds being Queens of their own sections of the empire and answering directly to her.

As stated we know really nothing about her, and so we can only speculate as to why she would want Pink Diamond dead. My best theory relates to the planets under the Diamonds’ control. If you look at her portrait, you will see that in her life, Pink Diamond only controlled two celestial bodies, the Earth and its moon. Perhaps the Diamonds have a quota of planets to conquer, and White Diamond shattered her as punishment for not meeting it. But again, all is this is simply speculative.

In the end, no matter who shattered Pink Diamond, Rose Quartz is blamed for it. It is not difficult to see how this would become the prevailing narrative, even among her own soldiers. They could simply receive word through captured reconnaissance that Pink Diamond has been shattered and Rose is the culprit. Since Homeworld has far better intel, the Crystal Gems would simply believe it to be true. If any of them ever confront Rose about it, she neither confirms nor denies the rumors. To reject the credit for it might make her seem week or a liar, but to accept guilt would be hypocritical, as she had previously stood by a policy of never shattering a Gem, and either way Gems might leave her ranks. In the end, it settles into the collective minds of Gems around the universe as true.

So I went onto some comparison web sites and put my mum as main driver and me as the named driver and I was getting quotes of around 1900 (Fully comp). So I thought I would see what it would cost if my mum got the likes of a corsa or a fiesta or something. I changed the car details on the website and the quotes came out at 3000 + (Fully comp). I just don't understand how an Audi can be considerably cheaper than a corsa's and fiestas etc. Any explaination on why this is would be much appreciated. Let me make a very long story short and get right to the questions. I have moved across the United States by myself at the age of 20 with no insurance covered by my parents, nor will they ever if they could. I had a retinal detachment in my left eye. Paid out of pocket for an eye doctor appointment, he freaked out and told me to go straight to the emergency room for emergency surgery since my entire retina was detached. After my surgery, half unconscious too, a social worker got assigned to me because I was under 21 and legally dependent on the state. So the state paid for my surgery. I had a 2nd one too because the first failed. During my 2nd surgery I had cataracts in my eye so they removed the natural lens. And they never replaced the natural lens since they feared the retina may detach again like the first time. But it stay together and I turned 21. So therefore, legally independent by the state. My check up appointment was after my birthday which the front desk of the eye section declared I must pay $80 for every check up visit, which they wanted me to come in every other week. And if I did not pay, I could not go in. Due to my 6 months of surgeries and recover time I had no money, and was not working. I live with my in-laws, and they were taking care of me, but they are certainly not going to pay my medical bills. So here I am now, age 22 and I have been working for about a year. My job does not offer health insurance until you worked for a year, and even then, there is a certain month you can sign up. I have been walking around for over a year without a natural lens, or ANY lens in my left eye. This is in no way like being blind. My doctor had told me that if I got my license and drove, if ever in an accident, I would get in serious trouble because you are not supposed to drive this way. Not that I do, I cannot see correctly so it is wicked dangerous. Having no lens in one eyes messes with your other eye. Hard to explain unless you have literally had this situation before. Sunlight glares into my bad eye, then into my good eye. Same with darkness or bright lights in general. I am actually very blind at night because of this. This is literally ruining my life. I really need help finding a good health insurance option. I started my own company in 2009 and have kept it active and grew it slowly ever since. I was, until recently, employed at a large bank where I had good health and dental benefits. I recently left the job to take my business full time and scale it up. I am doing that full time now and it's been about a month since I left my job. I elected to keep my dental insurance through COBRA, because it will only cost me about $23/month. However, to keep my health insurance through COBRA would cost me almost $500/month and I felt that was too much. I have read all the paperwork and believe that I can still elect COBRA for my health insurance for about another month. They give you 60 days from your last day. So I was in an accident last week. It was a minor fender bender and was my first accident in the 9 years of driving I've had. I feel good and bad about this law. I'm conservative. I don't entirely agree with the law. But it's good that people are able to get on an affordable insurance plan if they have a pre-existing condition rather than being left out to die. But what about the people who are getting kicked off insurance plans and now have to pay even higher rates than they already were? I get a subsidy for my plan. I don't feel like I deserve it. NRA lashes out over #BoycottNRA rather than find a solution

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has been hit where it hurts by a group they would never have imagined being able to; angry teenagers with a powerful hashtag #BoycottNRA. Many expected the Parkland shooting to be part of the usual politics with everyone saying that something should be done before moving on to other topics making sure to not ruffle the NRA's feathers. Young adults are now proving to be more mature than the politicians that their parents and adults put into office. It's caused a groundswell no one saw coming reminding many of 1968 when young adults took the streets with an impact. History is repeating itself decades later with even younger adults, but the NRA and conservatives took to treating them as any formidable opponent by trying to smear their names and reputations. Today's teens are much savvier than Dana Lasher and conservative outlets attacking them though. They aren't succumbing to backing off these attacks. They have learned one trick from President Donald Trump. That is just to keep pushing back against any and all attacks. I personally am curious what a former NRA president, Sandra Froman, has to say about the organization now as she brought much more respect to it. I am left wondering if she is left feeling disappointed in the organization's actions of late. The NRA lashed out at corporations rushing to abandon it, as companies from United Airlines to Best Western have cut ties with the gun lobby group under pressure from a boycott movement following a Feb. 14 high school shooting. Without context, twin announcements from Delta and United airlines on Saturday morning might look trivial: The end of flight discounts to the NRA’s annual convention, which few outside the gun rights organization likely knew existed before they became boycott targets. The group has faced public anger before — after the massacre of schoolchildren at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012, for example. But it has always fought back against pushes for new gun laws, and efforts to significantly restrict firearms inevitably die out as public fury over the shootings ebbs. But outrage over the Parkland shooting — sustained in part by politically active teenagers who survived the massacre — has shown no signs of fading. Police say a former student killed 17 people with a legally purchased semiautomatic rifle, one of at least 10 guns he owned. As calls for gun control have spread, the NRA has increasingly become a target of activists, with social media hashtags urging boycotts of any corporation found to be linked with it. Delta and United are the latest to submit to the pressure. First National Bank of Omaha, one of the largest private U.S. banks, may have been the first to respond publicly to the boycott calls. The bank had previously advertised the “Official Credit Card of the NRA,” according to the Omaha World-Herald — a Visa card with 5 percent back on gas and sporting good purchases. “Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA,” the bank said in a statement published Thursday, eights days after the Parkland shooting. “As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.” Enterprise followed suit a few hours later. “All three of our brands have ended the discount for NRA members,” effective March 26, the car rental company wrote on Twitter Thursday afternoon. Hertz, Avis Budget Group, and TrueCar would soon join Enterprise and end their NRA discounts. So did movers North American Van Lines and Allied Van Lines. On Friday morning, Symantec announced that the boycott movement had spread to the software industry. NRA members will now have to pay the same price for its anti-virus software as everyone else. On the same day, insurer Chubb Limited announced that it will stop underwriting “NRA Carry Guard,” a policy marketed to NRA members who face legal or civil lawsuits after they shoot someone, which gun opponents sometimes call “murder insurance.” A spokesman for Chubb told Reuters that the company had made the decision months ago, but its announcement of the fact on Friday only increased the perception of a boycott movement swelling against the NRA. It has now spread across numerous industries and affected some of the world’s largest corporations. The global insurance company MetLife said it has terminated discounts for NRA members. Best Western and Wyndham Hotels announced they are no longer affiliated with the NRA. Facing questions from the liberal outlet ThinkProgress about its discounts for NRA members flying to the group’s convention in May, a Delta spokesman at first defended the program as “routine.” The airline “has more than 2,000 such contracts in place,” the spokesman said, ThinkProgress wrote Friday evening. The correct response to the Florida shooting, he said, was more armed security on school campuses — not fewer guns in the United States. Pressure campaigns have become a favorite tool of liberal groups during Trump’s presidency — from early efforts to boycott Trump-branded products to a Twitter campaign that identified and exposed people seen marching at a far-right protest in Charlottesville this past summer. Social media and Internet companies began to ban far-right personalities from their sites after that rally turned violent. So far, for all the companies that have signed on, the NRA boycotts have managed only to wipe out a few peripheral perks for the group’s members. But if the movement keeps spreading, there are signs it could threaten the financial and political cornerstones of the gun lobby. Still, the long-term effects are unknown. After the Parkland shooting, a prominent City Council member in Dallas said the city no longer wants the NRA to hold its convention there in May, Fox News reported. But officials in Kansas and Nebraska have invited the gun group’s business. Florida Gov. Rick Scott and other Republicans have endorsed banning rifle sales to anyone under age 21 — which the NRA opposes. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), on the other hand, at a recent CNN town hall this week said he would continue to accept political contributions from the gun rights group.) According to Business Insider, the NRA is funded largely by the gun industry, which has contributed tens of millions of dollars and helped the gun lobby build alliances and power networks across the U.S. political system. The same industry, of course, also makes many off the hundreds of millions of guns believed to be in the country. So the most ambitious gun-control advocates would love to cut off that financial backing. The Parkland shooting and its negative publicity caused the investment giant BlackRock to explore ways of letting its clients disinvest from gun companies, Bloomberg News reported. Teachers in Florida are pressuring their pension fund managers to do the same. But gun industry stocks are widely held. CNBC reported this week that some of Wall Street’s largest exchange-traded funds include holdings in several gunmakers. And investors may be hesitant to dump gunmakers’ stocks as long as the companies remain lucrative. New York Times financial columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin, five days after the Parkland shooting, made a proposal: Banks and credit companies could effectively ban assault weapons right now, simply by prohibiting customers from using their services to buy them. Financial companies ban the purchase of products like cryptocurrency with credit cards, Sorkin wrote, and some executives were considering policies that would lead “assault weapons [to] be eliminated from virtually every firearms store in America because otherwise the sellers would be cut off from the credit card systems.” Gunmakers, of course, also use credit to make purchases, so banks could throttle them from the supply side, as well. Whether banks would do this, however, is in question. In 2012, Snopes investigated a report that Bank of America was cutting off credit lines to gun manufacturers. A spokeswoman for the bank denied the report, saying it had no policies against doing business with the firearms industry and pointing to a $250 million deal with a gunmaker that same month. Six years later, amid the growing outrage from the Stoneman Douglas massacre, the bank sounds very different. Axios reported on Saturday that Bank of America was “reexamining” its relationship with AR-15 rifle manufacturers who do business with it. “We are joining other companies in our industry to examine what we can do to help end the tragedy of mass shootings,” Bank of America said in a statement. #141 - The Fattest Bride You Know

104 days still isn't enough time to get a wedding dress for a fat bride with a budget of $1500.  

I should have bought my dress a year ago when I got engaged. It doesn't matter that I was pregnant at the time and had no clue what the hell my body was going to do or how it was going to look, I should have bought that dress and altered my body any which way I had to in order to fit in it. Or at least that's what I walked away with from the first (and only) bridal appointment that I arranged.  

Honestly, I was on the fence about doing any bridal appointments at all. There is something about trying clothes on in front of people that really does not appeal to me. When I try stuff, I want to take it in solo and judge it worthy before I show it off, but if "Say Yes to the Dress" has taught us anything, that is just not how wedding dress shopping is done. Plus, I told myself, maybe, just maybe it will be fun.  

I picked a very cute, Instagram-worthy shop on the west-side of Atlanta to be my jumping off point small shop and very intimate  

 My maid of honor, who is also engaged, and I (unbeknownst to each other) picked the same day and had back-to-back appointments, which was kind of magical because we could try on dresses together.  

My friend, who is also plus-size, had her appointment first. She is getting married a year from now and had a bunch of stuff to choose from. In all honesty, the first dress she picked was so stunning She rocked the hell out of it.  

I wanted a super boho, not too traditional dress, preferably with some lace.  We pulled seven or eight and I couldn't wait to try them on. I had a baby five months ago and abdominal surgery two weeks ago so I'll admit I'm not feeling my physical best, however, I thought I was sort of getting back to myself.Not a single dress even came close to fitting. The first dress wouldn't fit on my arms so I was forced to walk out of the dressing room pushing them in front of me like I was holding an invisible platter. 

 The second dress I barely squeezed into and was so tight the zipper wouldn't go up at all so the assistant shoved what looked like a pillowcase in the back of it so my entire butt wouldn't be exposed. The third one was a "very stretchy, forgiving fabric" according to my assistant, which is the only reason I was able to get it slightly into place and it was still so tight I felt (and looked) like I was jammed into a sausage casing.  

I stood in the dressing room, wearing a pair of loose, high-waisted maternity underwear, and tried not to cry while my assistant held up dresses and said: "this won't fit, but imagine what it would look like on." If I want to imagine what a dress looks like on, I'll stick with my fat girl forte and buy something online.  

The dress that I was most excited about, was marked 50% off because the style had been discontinued, I was not even allowed to attempt to try on because there was no way that it would fit and the assistant seemed seriously concerned that I would rip it.  

Okay, so I know what you might be thinking "well you just went to the wrong place, you can go to a bridal salon with plus sizes!"  

I emailed the salon and let them know my size, my wedding date, and my budget well ahead of my appointment and even made it seem like it might be an issue. They told me to come on down and that they would definitely have something to accommodate me. In fact, when we got there one of the bridal assistants even bragged about how they "do all this research" on their clients before they come so that they can pull stuff that we'll love.  

I made the appointment because I wanted to feel like a bride. I've had a rough year. I had a baby, I had all these medical issues that ultimately required surgery, my relationship with my partner has been under a decent amount of stress because of this turbulence, and I haven't really gotten to do the fun wedding stuff.  

 Instead, I felt like an outsider intruding on this lovely world where of course nothing would fit me because I am not ideal nor am I welcome.  

Sometimes it is really hard to be body positive and it is even harder to be fat positive.  

This year, the average size of an American woman was officially bumped up to a 16-18, brands and retailers are slowly, but surely starting to design more fashionable, affordable plus-size clothing, and indie brands are killing the game (shout out to plus-size bloggers Gabi Gregg and Nicolette Mason whose Premme line was popular that their website crashed almost immediately after launching), so why are we still marginalizing plus-size brides?  

After my appointment, my bridal assistant sent me an email and said that my timeline and price point were the problem and told me to check out Reformation or BHLDN. I'm familiar with both. Neither stock plus-sizes.

Hi Shannon & Kim, 

First of all, thank you SO much for your awesome podcast! I found it shortly after I got engaged and it’s been so helpful throughout my planning process. 

I’m hoping you can help me with a unique question about my wedding day jewelry. I’m wearing this totally awesome illusion neckline dress that I’m kind of obsessed with, and from the moment I tried it on I knew I wanted to wear it with my hair up and with some drop earrings. That got my mom really excited because she wore some really pretty gold drop earrings in her own wedding. They’re not super fancy; they’re from some costume jewelry designer who was popular back in the 80s (think Kendra Scott quality). My mom is SO tickled that her earrings are exactly the style that would look great with my dress, and I know she really wants me to wear them. I agree with her that it would be really special for both of us, and I think the earrings are beautiful in every aspect except for one – the color. 

What I’m struggling with, and what I haven’t told my mom yet, is that I really want my wedding day jewelry to be silver. Honestly, gold would clash with everything I’ve envisioned for the the overall look, feel, and color scheme of my day. 

Do you think it might be possible for a jeweler to transform my mother’s earrings from gold to silver? Could they maybe plate them with Sterling or Rhodium? I’m not sure whether that’s something they would even do with costume jewelry. And if it is a possibility, how do I approach my mom about it? I’m worried she’ll be offended or hurt that the earrings in their current state aren’t quite what I want, and she might not even approve of me altering them at all. 

 I’m really hoping you can help because this has got me pretty stressed out and you ladies always seem to give such sound advice!

Checking out the Doodle Trail

It was a beautiful day and I decided I needed to be outside. While I’ve done lots of paddling lately, I have done very little pedaling, so I decided to take my bike over to Pickens and check out the Doodle Trail.

That was easier said than done. I realized that I hadn’t ridden my bike in over a year, and it seemed to be in worse shape than I am. All I have now is an older mountain bike (albeit, a very good one when I bought it) that has no suspension and has knobby tires. It still does OK on trails, but isn’t great for paved surfaces. It needed a bit of TLC before I could ride it anywhere.

I used to love bike riding. I used to do 20 mile rides three times a week. Then we moved to a place that’s not as conducive to riding. As much as Greenville likes to tout its “Bike City” status, it is NOT bicycle friendly. Yes, there are a few bike lanes, but many of those are so narrow as to be shared with traffic…traffic that, for the most part, is oblivious to or openly hostile to bicycles. I would use my bike all the time and ride everywhere if I could. However, from my home I can’t just hop on my bike and ride somewhere useful without taking my life into my hands. If I’m going to have to toss my bike into the truck and drive it somewhere like the Swamp Rabbit Trail, then I’d just as soon toss my kayak into the truck, which is what I’ve been doing lately.

Your legs really don’t get much workout while kayaking, so both my bike and my pedaling legs have suffered from neglect. Even so, I loaded up the bike, tried to pump up the tires, and headed out.

The Doodle Trail is a 7.5 mile rails-to-trails project between the cities of Pickens and Easley. It runs along the route of the old Pickens Railway. The trail and railroad got the name “Doodle” because the train simply reversed when running between the cities like a doodle bug. Having never seen an actual doodle bug in action I can’t verify that this is their behavior, and I suspect the bugs never ran on tracks, but whatever. The name stuck.

I was surprised to find that there is still an active railroad called the Pickens Railway Company. It operates a short line between Anderson and Belton/Honea Path and until 2013 operated trains on the Doodle Bug line. When that segment of the railroad was discontinued the rails were removed and plans for the trail were put into motion.

I’m always amazed at the amount of pushback these types of projects get from home owners. Opponents argued that crime would increase along both the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the Peak to Pomaria section of the Palmetto Trail because there would now be strangers walking across their backyards. That hasn’t proven to be true. If anything, these trails have helped stabilize areas that had a prior problem with crime by raising the visibility of those neighborhoods.

I get the arguments about a loss of privacy. It’s one thing to have a train run through your backyard, but to have the general public leisurely stroll or bike through opens up your private business to a lot of scrutiny. There were a few unofficial Furman frat houses tucked back along the Swamp Rabbit that I’m sure would have liked to have remained hidden.

Then there were those that tried to make arguments based on some twisted Biblical reasoning, as this person who wrote to the Easley Patch:

So much has changed in our society in the past 45 years.

The most blatant change has been in morals. And the result of this downfall of morals has led us down the path of communism.

Our country was based on Christian morals. That is no longer the morals we follow. We used to believe the Ten Commandments were our moral compass.

The latest proof we now ignore many of the Ten Commandments is how the collectivist moral code has taken over in the project which seeks a public bike path on the former Pickens Doodle railroad tracks.

This project is in direct violation of two commandments…namely “Thou shalt not steal” and Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors’ property.”

But now the new “greater good” morals of communism have taken over. Our local governments have now endorsed the taking of private/personal property without owners’ consent while proclaiming they are doing “good.”

A small percentage of people who “covet” someone else’s private property have used government to do their act of immorality.

It is very depressing to see how eagerly the people of Pickens County jump on the bandwagon of wanting to steal another’s personal property rights just for their own personal enjoyment.

Our local governments are making it “legal” to covet and steal our neighbors property.

As Christians we need to stand up for the property rights of the landowners along this proposed bike path and tell our local government officials we do not support breaking the Ten Commandments so a small group of our population can ride their bikes.

Please call your Pickens City Councilmen or Easley City Councilmen and tell them it is time we start respecting the Ten Commandments.

Uhm, exactly what was being “stolen”?? I don’t think the county used eminent domain to steal anything.

But, back to the trail…

I found the trailhead with no problem. Several cars with bike racks were already in the small parking lot. A kiosk with trail information and a bike maintenance station marked the end of the trail.

The trail dropped downhill – quickly. My first thought was, “Oh god, I’m going to have to pedal back up this thing.” I quickly passed mill village houses and closely behind yards filled with stuff. A lazy tabby cat didn’t flinch as I cruised past. The trail also runs along one of the old Pickens textile mills, now in a state of collapse.

The trail takes on a rural feel very quickly running through farmlands at the base of Glassy Mountain. The scenery was quite nice, actually, even better than the Swamp Rabbit. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. There were a few other bikers and walkers along the trail, but for the most part I had it all to myself.

I had only gone a little over three miles when I noticed that my ride was getting very rough. The back tire just wasn’t holding air. I stopped to pump up the tire, but decided that I wasn’t going to make it all the way to Easley. I decided to turn back around. As I headed back I could see the towers on top of Glassy Mountain.

The tire had gone down again and I was walking my bike when three other bikes came up behind me. They passed, then paused, asking if I needed help. These guys were in their sixties and seventies and cruising past me like it was nothing. I told them that my tire wouldn’t hold air. I lied. It was my lungs that wouldn’t hold air. I thanked them, but told them I’d be fine.

While we chatted we noticed a rusting car off in the woods. I walked back to take a photo or two. My GoPro caught me on the trail.

My trip back was alternating between riding-pumping-walking. With the slower pace I could take a few more photos of the surrounding area rather than just relying on the GoPro.

A set of phantom stairs once connected one of the side streets of the mill village to the mill itself. A few of the uniform houses lined the mill side of the old railway. “The Mill Church” was obviously an old or former Baptist church that had taken on one of those single-name monikers that are so trendy.

I made it back to the truck with no problem and loaded up the car. I’d only gone six miles, which is a decent paddling trip, but a very short pedaling trip. I need to do some serious work on this bike before I head back out.

Yet, I wasn’t done. Even though I hadn’t ridden to the end of the trail I still wanted to see it. I drove on down Highway 8 toward Easley. I made several missteps trying to find the trailhead. I hadn’t realized it would be so obvious, nor that it would run through the middle of the Easley city cemetery.

Next time I think I’ll start from this end, but simply for variety. I don’t think it will be any easier. As one of my fellow riders today commented, “It’s uphill both ways.”

26 February 2017: SMDC Run 2017 - 6.53mi = 10.51km

This marks my 10th run since I officially began running in races.

10 runs under my belt and I am on my way to challenge myself to a tougher distance. I was thinking about it while at the course earlier, wondering if I can really brave Half Mary coz I honestly don’t get to have quality training. I haven’t been running 10kms on training anymore. Max distance I have done by far on training was something around 7 or 8k. That’s how I suck in training. Lazy even.

On the way back to the Mall of Asia Complex, I was already feeling frustrated because I am anticipating that my finish time won’t be a personal best. At the bridge in Macapagal Boulevard, I was even trying to cheer myself up, saying:

“It’s okay, baby girl, you only had four days training for this run so it is forgivable not to break a personal best. All runners go through it and there is always a first.”

So yeah, even before crossing the finish line, I was already conditioning myself to accept that it is the first finish in 10 runs that I won’t set a PR. Charge to experience.

10k run is only supposed to be around 6.10 or 6.12 miles, but since I forgot to tap the “stop” button of my Runtastic App right after crossing the finish line, it went on to count my activity up until I finally tapped it hence going as far as 0.40+ more miles. Side note: I didn’t have a choice than to switch to this app because Adidas miCoach bought Runtastic and all the miCoach users are asked to move to the latter, with all the training records being automatically exported from the former upon registration of the same email address used to sign up for miCoach and giving the user a free 1 year premium treat - who would say no to that? I was kind of sad that Adidas is going to discontinue the miCoach app after acquiring Runtastic app since I really love using miCoach, loved their side notes on how far I have ran and its statistics have an equivalent example, say I’ve gone 42km in my accumulated runs for the month, miCoach would compare it to how many times I could run around Rome’s Colloseum to achieve the same distance. Or how a specific accumulated distance for a certain month equates the distance of London’s Tower Bridge. I am surely going to miss such comparisson because it amazes me - neither NRC nor Runtastic has that kind of things so I hope Adidas gets to integrate their enticing miCoach features once they take full control of Runtastic so that I don’t need to switch back to NRC. It will kind of make me stupid for using a Nike app on an Adidas running shoes, right? Ampangeeet! 😂

So much of the side note, let’s get back on my second 10k experience. Yes, only my second with RUPM 2016 being the first. Overall, I think it was a good run, I started strong, ran my slowest come the third or fourth mile coz I feel lazy but I remember I do have all sorts of “stuff” to keep me motivated with me as I run, be it on my mobile phone or on my belt bag. What "stuff" are those, I won't tell.

“Remember your 1hr and 26minutes finish time goal, girl. Keep moving forward.” I told myself as we crossed the scary Buendia/Gil Puyat Avenue. As expected, cruising on that specific part of the course is scary AF as we literally have to share the road with moving vehicles. I’m not so sure in how many minutes the intervals were but in intersections, we have to stop and give way to the vehicles and then they do the same thing when it is time for the runners to carry on. Marshalls, enforcers and traffic cones were present at the course to ensure runner safety but there are times that you have to risk passing through the marshalls and the cones because you are overtaking a fellow runner - it happened to me countless of times not just on this specific race but even when I ran my first 16k and by the way, both events almost had the same course. It is just too good (and maybe lucky) that neither I or anyone doing the “overtaking” thing were hit by a vehicle passing through. Here is to hoping that in future runs, event organizers would not consider having that course - I would always go for the MOA-Macapagal-CCP-Roxas Blvd.-Coastal-Roxas Blvd.-Macapagal-MOA run course even if it is not a full flat track because of the presence of two fly overs, but this is by far the safest in my point of view. But yeah, if they come up with a course that can avoid Buendia, then the better. However, as scary as it may seem, if that is again part of the run course in any of my future races, I would brave running it again. 😛

Then there goes the “runner hugot” after crossing the finish line and upon seeing the race organizer staffs a few walks away from the finish line, with the medals. They wait for each finishers one by one to put the medal on each runner. So the first thing that came into my mind as soon as I saw one lady staff with the medals smiling at me was:

“Buti pa si Ate, inabangan ako sa finish line.”

Saying that in my mind as if I am not yet used to going to races and finishing my runs on my own. Hello, it has been the thing for ten times now. 😂 Talk about my being silly kicking off post run, must be the endorphins’ fault right there.

I have not seen girl crush and fitspo Bubbles Paraiso anywhere neither my ultimate crush Dingdong Dantes, perhaps they both decided not to do SMDC Run. But I saw their teammate, Kuya Kim Atienza who was also a pacer for 21k runners. I didn’t miss a chance of a snapshot with Kuya Kim before I decided to collect my finisher’s loot and freebies.

While at the race village, I turned my mobile data on so that I could share my post run stats, rant a bit on Facebook about feeling not able to break the PR for the first time and upload fotos. I was lining up for the Philippine Star freebie when I got an email from Runtastic that I consider as the biggest surprise of the day - the email was meant to inform me that I DID break my PR (unofficially) as they were able to record my run at 1.23! One hour, twenty-three minutes and forty-nine seconds, baby! My frustration turned into a smile and my eyes widened upon reading that, it suddenly made me realize that it is not only 3 minutes earlier than the finish time that I was aiming for but it also broke my training PR of 1.25 which I recorded sometime in 2016. Upon learning my unofficial time, it felt like I heard my friend, Betchay say:

“Halimaw ka!”

Each time she gets to have an idea on how fast I can go in races.

It also felt like hearing Coach Jong telling me:

“Lakas!”

The same way he did when I told him what was my recent 16k PR.

That unofficial time is truly unimaginable that I am still stoked at it even as I compose this blog. It’s like asking myself:

“Di nga? Nakaya ko yun? What kind of sorcery just happened?”

I must have been in the mood to line up and get all the freebies that I can get that I only felt my legs and feet were tired when I decided to sit down in one of the pavements in One E-Com Building instead of walking my way through the North Transport Terminal. Tired legs and foot as it may seem but it is, as always a rewarding kind of pain.

Before I forget, I think there was a scarcity of portalets within the run course and at the race village as well. Hopefully, next time the organizers would consider putting up more so that runners (especially the males) won’t have to run over to the bushes and the talahibans along the course for their bio breaks. Nakakahiya. Awkward. 😂

And may I just tell you, regardless of how many times your heart gets broken, you’d still have me. Love you! 😘
