Tommy has his own trope too.

Sure, he was bitchy about it, but him being the one to take Buddie from subtext to text is absolutely this trope.

I know queerbaiting in shows of the past has left us all suspicious and sceptical but I truly believe that's not what's happening here. Buddie isn't being shut down, it's being set up. It's not being slyly teased, it's being presented as a viable possibility. And someday soon, we'll get this trope:

Genuine question. Why do people love Tommy so much? We really don't know him well and he doesn't have much of a personality. Other then taking the 118 to save Bobby and Athena, he literally hasn't done anything that would make me like him? I personally find his character boring and would want Buck with someone who matches his energy.
