I hope you have recovered fully or are recovering well.

I only wanted to say this because I am an over thinker and someone needs to tell me to shut up. I don't have any Jikook fans in real life so these are the places I vent.

I think I am either the majority or.the minority depending on which space we are in that thinks and feels that Jikook are distant and have been for a while. I don't think like only because of the car scene. Even when they are taking photos, they aren't doing it like they used to do before. Before if one of them was taking a photo of the two, generally they would be attached at the hips and in each other's face. I didnt notice them doing that in the first two episodes but I also just saw a small clip from Sapporo and they are also taking a pic but they are but distant from each other. I know it might be some miniscule to you but these are few of the instances where I felt that their relationship was beyond friendship.

I know I am over thinking it but I don't know, I don't feel as good about it I suppose. What happened to the Jikook that would literally smooshed their faces together for a photo? What happened to Jikook that were always seen hanging out prior to the hiatus. I heard about them hanging out all the time.

Yes they were busy and I get that. Jimin specially seems to have been super duper busy but he seems to have built a deeper relationship with the Hyung like but kep.a distance from the Maknae line so I am a bit confused I suppose. Out of all the BTS members, I always assumed Jikook were it and nothing would come in between so I am surprised to see work coming in between them?

I still feel like shiiitttt lol but I had to start work today anyway. Thanks for checking in though 💜

Listen, I'm not here to tell you what to think or tell you what your opinion should be. Think whatever you want. I'm sorry to say, but I'm not ever going to be the one to talk you into shipping Jikook. You think they aren't together, that's totally good by me! I hope you still love and support them as BTS, and I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy any part of the fandom you continue to participate in, including mine if you stick around anyway on my blog.

I'm just here to present facts and let you draw your own conclusions based off that. And sometimes share my opinions about them, but only with the caveat that no one steals MY opinion and must create their own 😉

So for the facts, babygirl (I use as a gender neutral terms), for as many selcas as Jikook took like this:

They took JUST as many like this, which are (edging into opinion territory just a bit here) just the same as the glimpses we've gotten of selcas taken from AYS

Close together for the selfie, but not smushed as close as they could possibly get without just going ahead and crawling inside each other. Just a normal cutesy photo

More facts! As for hanging out prior to the hiatus (where I guess now it's assumed they never saw each other not even once, which is opinion and assumption, not fact), I have a post already done about all the times Jikook were spotted hanging out outside of work (because BTS time is work).

Hint: it's less often than you think

Double hint: they were still glued at the hip, we just know they were because they say and act like they were, not because we got to see or hear about it

Triple hint: it's probably exactly the same now except we know that currently, at this moment, they choose to continue to be glued at the hip for the next 18 months at minimum

Work came between them? Is that what they said or is that what you took their words to mean based on your biases and previous assumptions?

Just a bit of unsolicited advice that you are free to disregard. I think whatever you decide about how you feel about Jikook, you should consider taking an emotional step back from them, just a smidge. Hey there, BABY ARMY! As someone who's been around since 2016, I've seen BTS and the fandom evolve in fascinating ways. Let me tell you about a period that really tested our strength – the Taekook roller coaster of 2019.

Back in the day, things were simpler. Sure, 2017 saw a bit of a "separation" from Bighit, with limited content beyond a single selca. But there were enough crumbs – dispatches, award show interactions, playful moments – to keep shippers satisfied.

Then came 2019. Now, this year was a doozy for a Taekook shipper like me. It felt like everything had changed. Gone were the candid behind-the-scenes interactions, replaced by a carefully curated public image. Interactions seemed superficial, almost choreographed. It was like Big Hit was desperate to rewrite the narrative. Remember the iconic Anpanman and DNA interactions? Gone. Replaced with a calculated push for another pairing. Dispatch, once notorious for dropping Taekook bombshells, started focusing on other pairings. Even their "I Love You" sign, a secret handshake of sorts, became a group thing

This strategy felt manipulative. It made me question everything. Were the boys still close? Was it all just a performance? The worst part? The awkwardness seeped into their on-stage interactions. Even Jungkook, usually so carefree, seemed hesitant around Taehyung.

Bighit, it seemed, was playing a clever game. They'd sprinkle in a few, heavily edited Taekook moments (diff anon have mentioned previously) while simultaneously hyping up another pairing. That's why in the eyes of general fandom those moments are nothing in front of other ship content. And no matter how we explain of taekook bond of that time it will always lack in their eyes. It felt like they were trying to downplay their bond, portraying them as just bandmates rather than close friends. This aggressive strategy took a toll, especially on Taehyung. The free spirit we knew seemed subdued. Their once-exclusive moments were now public knowledge, and they were forced to fabricate stories on camera.

My saving grace? Those rare moments when the facade crumbled. Taehyung's subtle eye contact at award shows, the way their bodies moved in sync, the now-legendary Vlive moment (May 2019) – these were testaments to their unbreakable bond.

Even with the restrictions, they tried to be close at concerts. This was further complicated by Jungkook's awkwardness – a sign even the general ARMY noticed. This is where Taehyung's infamous "Weverse imagination" comment comes in, but that's a story for another day.

A Turning Point:

Now, let's rewind a bit. Remember the disbandment rumors around 2017? Interestingly, 2018 saw a surge of previously unseen tk content in the form of Bangtan Bombs. My theory? Two things were at play: disbandment fears (with Taekook's relationship potentially a factor) and their contract renewal in May 2018. These cut scenes were a way to pacify the the members, especially Taekook.

However, things took a sharp turn after the renewal. Bighit's "ship-flopping" became more aggressive, butchering Taekook moments and shifting focus away from the hyung line. As RM himself admitted, without the pandemic, they might have disbanded again.

The Aftermath:

The #taekookisoverParty trend marked a shift. Taehyung started responding in English to avoid misinterpretations, and interactions resurfaced. This begs the question – if there was a genuine separation in 2019, how do we explain hotel room shares, the natural flow of their interactions now, and even their hug at the GDA 2020?

The forced public separation feels like a fabricated narrative. The whole SOOP conversation felt like a way for Bighit to avoid taking blame. Protecting the artists? Valid. But twisting the narrative to the point of misunderstanding artists, that's where I draw the line.

This turned from a "suspicious moment" to a rant, I apologize! But as someone who lived through this period, it stings to see new ARMYs offer neutral perspectives without acknowledging past events. It's crucial to understand history before forming opinions. Don't settle for a neutral perspective. Learn from the past. This scenario isn't just about a ship, it's about the power dynamics between artists, agencies, and the fandom caught in the middle. Remember, sometimes, the most captivating stories are the ones that lie beneath the surface. Also, this is just one interpretation amidst a sea of ARMYs. But hopefully, it sheds some light on the intricate web of emotions and narratives surrounding these two precious members.

here's my honest opinion on vmk's bond in the past few years.

i'll start with taekook rekindling their bromance in ITS1, with jimin's help. i feel like after the years they spent distant (maybe because of tae's mental health making him close off and maybe because of his friend circle outside of bts), jungkook got used to not being close to taehyung as they used and he was okay with it. but taehyung fixed his bond with jimin and genuinely wanted to do the same with jk, but couldn't without jimin's help, that's why jimin tricked (lol) jk into going out and having that conversation with tae.

ok, so they fixed their friendship, and they both definitely know that they're a popular duo within and outside of the fandom, and tae loves giving armys what they want as long as it's appropriate for him to do, he's also mischievous and likes wreaking havoc and enjoys causing a stir in the fandom that involves his name.

armys love taekook, (as a ship or a unit it doesn't matter) and tae loves jk (as his best(?) friend) so he wants them both to be the power duo armys want them to be, and that can be done simply by giving armys taekook selcas, a song (probably 🔜), tidbits of harmless information, and skinship. normal stuff that idols do for fan service.

and please, know what fan service is before you jump me, im not saying tkk aren't close, they are. all of bts do fan service to capitalize on their already existing bonds. but let's continue.

tkkrs are jimin antis. idk if tae knows that, but jimin definitely does and probably jk does too. so jimin started mentioning jungkook less because those mfs always cause a scene whenever he does. and tae, well he knows his audience and knows what they want. i don't think he has any bad intentions but he figures since him and jk are friends anyway, and his fans love to hear about jk or seeing tae with him, he wants to give them what they want. as any artist who loves their fans wants to do.

but since taehyung and jennie's relationship has been outed, taehyung uses taekookers to pull the attention away from himself and jennie onto him and jungkook instead. by singling out jungkook, mentioning him a lot, replying to posts about him, making jk join him on Instagram live, posting pictures/videos of them, updating armys about jungkook, promising army to do a karaoke live with jk, and actually starting a live from jk's home a minute before leaving to let armys know that they hung out.

now jimin isn't stupid, he knows why taehyung does what he does, and it involves jungkook too, who doesn't really get hated on like jimin does because he's been basically put under taehyung's wing. so every time taehyung feeds the fans who love him and jungkook, he—unintentionally—brings jimin hate in the process, and makes himself look closer to jungkook than jimin, something that jimin can't fight back since he decided to keep his bond with jungkook a private matter.

jungkook doesn't get hated on like jimin when there's jikookery involved, so he took matters into his own hands instead since jimin can't. and believe me when i say, jungkook LOVES bragging about his jimin rights lol. jikookery used to come from jimin's side, selcas, updates, you name it. and jungkook was happy with that, but since jimin can't do it anymore without getting trashed for it, jungkook does it instead. because the man won't just sit aside and let people (especially tkkrs, whom he doesn't like or fuck with) think he doesn't care about jimin. he obviously can't tell us that they hang out, because that's not his decision alone, and jimin doesn't want to. but he can at least share his love and support, no? and so he does.

in conclusion, jimin probably doesn't like taehyung's antics, but he isn't letting the hate get to him anyway so he lets taehyung do his thing since he's a grown man who knows what's best for him, and if tae decided to play with the cult who hates his friend, jimin won't stop him, but he'll put up barriers between them. and jk probably doesn't mind tae using him for taekookery as long as jk gets to combat it with jikookery from his side lol. if someday jk can't combat tae's attempts at taekookery wth jikookery anymore, best believe he'll put an end to the taekook shop once and for all. that man does NAWWTTT play with tkkrs at ALLLL.

but anyway, please remember that this is all just how i perceive things and not to be taken as a fact! i am prone to changing my opinions if the members show something that contradicts any of what i'm saying, or if we're presented with a new solid narrative from the members themselves. you're welcome to correct me or add to my pov if you like though <3
