it’s so interesting seeing other people talk about how they play the sims because so many people play WILDLY different styles from how i play it. people who are constantly giving their sims drama or killing them off horribly whereas i tend to be a goody two shoes and give them very nice lives and have only started playing slightly more complicated scenarios more recently...on the other hand players who are very focused on making their sims extremely wealthy with huge ornate houses and most of my sims are a bit more modest/regular people unless it makes sense for their storyline to be fabulously wealthy. i don’t really use mods or custom content (the only mod i currently have is the one that shortens university from 12 to 4 credits because i wasn’t feeling having my sims be in university for their entire young adult span) and some people think the game is unplayable without it...with the new infant update i saw several people say they weren’t pumped about it just because they never play with kids anyway and that blew my mind because i’ve always tended to go for bigger families because i like naming the babies and giving them cute outfits lmfao. as long as we are all having fun!
#i don't use mods but i do use cheats. on occasion#to speedrun stuff like currently i'm doing my first generations playthrough and my og parents have eleven adult children so im toggling#bt the families using cheats to buff up their guitar skill and stuff

Oh, thank you so much for addressing this question to our department of "Hyperfixation on OCs"! I happen to have a PhD in Macology, so buckle up—here comes PART ONE (this lecture is going to be long, make yourself comfortable).
So, for my first playthrough, I played Baldur's Gate with my husband, and we created a warlock-durge character together. That’s why Mac didn’t show up right away. (Fun fact: my husband suggested romancing Gale, but I let out a squeal of a 14-year-old fan at a BTS concert and he relented.)
Eventually, I realized I was head over heels for the game’s story and needed to play it again (and again). This time, with my own character. I liked the warlock durge’s story and thought Mac would fit with that tragic lute-player vibe. But then it hit me: you know what this party is missing? A normal person!
Spoiler: I didn’t manage to create a "normal" character because what’s a protagonist without a tragic backstory? But that’s how Tav—Mac—was born.
For the second playthrough, I started out determined to make her a sunshine girl with two long braids, but—surprise—braids were a mod! The disappointment was crushing. So, I went back to my favorite classic: curly red hair. (You can actually see all her stages of creation on my concept art sketches. Yes, I draw my characters before playing them...)
The name Mac (originally she was called Robin, by the way) came to me because of her hair color: "mac" means "poppy" in Russian. And so, for almost a year now (her anniversary’s coming up!), she has utterly taken over my heart and mind, with her guitar and her white streaks.
### Fun Facts About Mac:
- All the women in her family are named after flowers, and she’s dead set on continuing that tradition.
- She’s a half-elf: her mom is a wood elf, and her dad is human.
- She spent most of her childhood at sea because her dad is the captain of a semi-pirate ship (modern AU version: he’s a marine biologist).
- Her mom was a scientist who disappeared when Mac was nine. She was searched for tirelessly but was never found.
- Mac has a maternal aunt named Lutik (Buttercup) who keeps the entire family in line with an iron fist.
- She chose the bard profession because her mom dreamed of it.
- As a child, she was kidnapped and sent to an island with other children, where she had to survive for two years.
- On that island, she was nearly devoured by a giant snake but narrowly escaped (that’s where her scars come from; this story exists in her modern AU too).
- Her white streaks appeared during her time on the island.
- After witnessing most of the other kids die, she developed an obsessive need to protect all children. (I even have a little comic about this.)
- She adores children in general.
- She fights with a crossbow and illusion magic.
- Her favorite animal is a rabbit.
- She loves collecting little trinkets—stones, shells, charms.
- Her favorite color is turquoise.
- She’s an amazing musician and loves singing most of all.
- Singing and... Astarion.
- She’s a early bird.
- Her favorite things include the smell of the sea, pebbles, spruce coffee with milk, the sound of applause, a crackling campfire, warmth, traveling, and swimming.
- Her family has a villa near Baldur’s Gate, gifted to her by her father, where she and Astarion settled after their adventure. (In the modern AU, it’s a two-room apartment.)

Choi thankful to neowiz for allowing them to do a console game (IGN) and that they had a hard time even finding developers to do a console title in korea in the first place. I remember him referencing this a couple of times but I have to sift through some stuff again.
Re: The confusion surrounding Neowiz/Round8/Team Nough. Round8 is a studio currently signed/owned by Neowiz. Looks like there are actually two teams within Round8, one of them being Team Nough, who were responsible for Lies of P.
Re: the amount of people working on Lies of P, other interviews reference starting with thirty people and ending at around 60. The latest interview (near release) mention that they had currently reached 120. (to update)
So what was interesting/confusing to me about the job postings that came out later that year following the success of LoP was why they didn't just pull team members from within the studio or merge [unless they probably already did]. Unless the game that Choi was referencing in 2020 wasn't Bless Unleashed, the other game under Round8 has been in production since LoP has been in production, and has (seemingly) not been released since LoP has been out.

So I just finished playthrough #6 of ttf2 and I noticed something I hadn’t before. When the beacon mission begins initially and BT is climbing up that cliff face, for some reason I had assumed Cooper is inside the cockpit and disembarked once you reach the top. This time though, I was looking around and noticed Cooper is in FACT sitting on top of BT’s shoulder, which is indicated in the loading screen:

But I hadn’t made the connection.
You can see Cooper’s hand holding tight to that handle. Just going for a little ride as BT climbs a mountain :)
Similarly, once you’ve finished that mission and rendezvous with Briggs, once again I somehow missed that Cooper is sitting up on BT’s shoulder, before BT plucks him off, holds him like an ice cream cone to declare Cooper his pilot, before shoving him safely back in the cockpit.

I don't get the Chloe erasure in Double Exposure
To me, I understand wanting to show a Max Caulfield in her own game without being dependent on Chloe. If that's the case, you should have made sure to say "these gameplays are from a playthrough that chose save the bay" because I've been bitching about not showing what Max's life is like in the Post-Bay ending since LIS 2.(although an easier fix would've been to have Max and Chloe if you saved Chloe or Max and Warren if you saved the Bay in LIS 2 instead of fucking David)
However, I don't understand the marketing tactic of having Chloe's existence being almost non-existent in DE. Chloe is the very emotional core of LIS. Her and Max is what drove the first game's story. Chloe and Rachel drove BTS.
Now I imagine we're only getting Chloe's presence in texts, journal entries or phone calls. But to me that's really dumb. Imagine having an iconic dynamic like Max and Chloe and deciding we're going to act like that doesn't exist and force completely new characters on us instead of characters from Arcadia Bay.
Now to me there are two theories on why Chloe isn't in Vermont with Max
My personal theory. They're taking a break from each other to find themselves. Max chooses to continue to pursue their dreams and Chloe learns to better herself as a person like going to therapy, getting her education and getting a job to be a better person for Max.
The rumored and leaked bullshit break up theory. It's potentially leaked that they broke up and I hate it. Like yes, let's sacrifice an entire town and killing thousands of people, including Chloe's mother and all of Max's friends, only for Max and Chloe to break up. How the fuck is that "respecting the ending"
It also doesn't help that Ashly is a union VA and it feels like once again SE is fucking over the fans by having Rhianna potentially voicing Chloe. I'm sorry, I love Rhianna, but she does not work as an older Chloe, she worked for the BTS era Chloe only. and I cannot imagine Hannah being okay with working with anyone but Ashly as Chloe.
It's evidently clear this was supposed to be a completely different game with a different character entirely, but the D9 expose came out and SE course corrected to save D9's asses and had Max be the main character. For whatever reason they want to distance the player from seeing Chloe. I get the logic of suspense and the wait is worth the reward, but it seems to me they are alienating the audience as a giant fuck you and that is a terrible marketing strategy.
I really don't want to make this comparison because thinking of those vile Clementine comics makes me physically ill, but taking Max away from Chloe(Bae) and Warren and Kate(Bay) is like taking Clementine away from AJ, Louis and Violet.
I have a lot of reasons to boycott this game 1 2 3 4, but the lack of Chloe or characters from Arcadia for the save the Bay scenario is a large part and I really don't like the direction of this game.
To me the only way this game will be worth it is if it ends with Max saving Rachel in the end to quite literally save everyone and it ends with Max, Chloe and Rachel driving off into the rainbow sunset.
