I don't think i'll ever forgive myself for forgetting to save the essay i wrote on my previous blog about how detrimental it is for the arts that the "most important" events and award( show)s in the art industries are usamerican and by proxy extremely anglocentric. I unironically think i was cooking.
#maybe i'll rewrite it at some point#bc i still believe it. it's kinda heartbreaking that bts' recent music (?? i haven't been keeping up since ptd) is in english#bc i know their goal is a grammy and i knoooow they must have Realised it's not achieveable for them as long as their music remains#''unaccessible'' to anglophones. (as if translations don't exist)#bc i said it in that essay and i'll say it again the fact that they got nominated for Dynamite and Butter instead of Black Swan says it all.#and also i just checked their noms list and it's laughable it's literally only the collabs with western artists.#Dynamite is the odd one out. and then asides from that a best music video nomination for yet to come#which i haven't seen yet but a best music video is not exactly a musical award so it's rather cheap..imo.#++ but dynamite is fully in english lol#imo black swan should have been thee grammy nomination. but it wasn't. LYS:T got a nomination strictly for album art♡

#zee.txt#gonna promptly block the b.g3 critical tag#because people do not understand how hard the game development pipeline is#and have no sense of how social media marketing works#i do think act 3 leaves a lot wanting#but it's a fucking miracle that larian got it working the way it did currently#a lot of issues ppl are complaining about now#including content wise#could be addressed by just waiting#give it like a few more years and maybe your criticisms might be valid#but as of right now#the game literally just launched#and everyone experienced with gaming in general would understand that the first few years of a game after launch#especially at the scale of what larian achieved#is gonna be rocky#I really do think some ppl are mistakenly going into the game with a critical lens that is best suited for tv and film#especially when it comes to bts and production stuff
