It was Monday and Nick had just posted the podcast episode for the week, and I was one of the featured guests on the podcast.

I sat next to Chris, who’s my boyfriend but we decided to keep it a secret from fans. I was scared I’d get hate for it, since just being around them even as a friend has gotten me hate. I didn’t want to know what would happen if Chris and I came out with our relationship.

I sit next to Chris on the couch, my head on his shoulder and my legs over his as we watch TV in the living room. It had only been a few hours since the podcast was posted, and my stomach was in knots just thinking about the comments that would surface soon.

Chris rubs his fingers over my knuckles and I look up at him. He smiles at me and kisses my forehead. “Don’t worry.” He mumbles into my hair. He must have read my mind or notice how nervous I was.

“I’m not worried.” I lie and shift around in my spot. Chris wraps his arms around me to keep me still.

“Don’t lie to me, ma. You’re nervous. Don’t be, our fans love you.”

“No they don’t, they love you and hate me just for being around you.”

“They aren’t real fans then.” He says and gives me a kiss on the top of my head.

We sit in silence for a bit as we watch the movie on the tv. Chris checks his phone seeing notifications blow up, people tagging him in edits on TikTok, and tweets and instagram posts. He smiles to himself as he opens TikTok. “Let’s see these cute edits they made huh, mas?” Chris says.

I lean over to see his phone screen. He goes to the tag titled with his name to see the newest edits. The very first one made both of us freeze in our place.

There we were. On the podcast, a view of Chris that showed his lap, and my legs over his while he rubs my legs softly. The caption read “Y/N AND CHRIS DATING CONFIRMED???”

My face burns with blush and I stare up at Chris. “I think they know…” he says in a soft tone.

“Oh god…”

“It’s okay princess, I was sick of hiding it anyways.”

Chris continues going through the tag, seeing many new edits of him and me in the past videos I’ve been in.

“I told you they love you.” He mumbles into my hair and kisses the top of my head again.

I loved making a fakemon!! I’ve never tried it before, but it was super fun. Learning to replicate the style of the official art was tricky at first, but I think I got the hang of it. Since a lot of the dragon type Pokémon are centered around mythology, I decided to base this evo line off of the Brusha. The Brusha was a mythical beast that was like a skinned porcupine. It would ravage peoples villages and skewer its food onto its quills, like fruit and chicken. I thought this would be a good idea for a fakemon line! As you can tell now, Brucidna’s name is a combination of Brusha and Ecidna. And Babaget’s name… uh, it’s a random one my brother thought of haha. Sorry, I don’t have genius for everything…

If I want to go even deeper into it, I thought of some possible in game things for Brucidna. A dragon poison typing is good defensively, so it would have high defense stats, and perhaps speed as well. If I would give it an ability, probably something like poison point. I can also imagine it using moves like dragon tail/slash/toxic spikes, and even maybe some unlikely ones like surf.

When I played What Remains of Edith Finch 3 (?) weeks ago, I didn't make that many posts about me playing it. I was so absorbed in this game that I spent like 1 HOUR just playing Molly's gameplay.

I simply explored the entire map to the limit. When it got to the part about opening Barbara's music box, I almost cried bc of the song (😭). On Sam's part, I spent a lot of time taking photos and unlocking new dialogues that I simply had no idea that existed, you have no idea.

At the beginning of the game when I entered the garage, I turned the game volume up to max, and EVERY time I heard knocking on the windows all over the house (hell na) but I also heard wind sounds, which gave me a feeling of peace and melancholy (broo look what this game did to me 💀) In total, I spent about 5 hours playing this game.

In the part of Molly's gameplay where we became that monster, I tried to bug the game to be able to see our body (it didn't work) 💀😭

But my experience with this game was incredible, it seems that my love for WROEF increased 3x. ♥️

i kinda want to do this for every ep which i have to go back on ep 1 but i just finished rewatching agatha all along episode 3 after the finale with the reveals and things are making soo much more sense now

1. holy shit agatha is looking at billy sooo fucking much

2. fr when no on is paying attention to agatha she just straight up has no idea what’s happening

3. agatha lists off the things that the other three want which ends up happening. jen was unbound = she faced being bound. lillie was reversing her fate = she saw her younger self literally reversing her age and also seeing death. alice was what happened to mommy= she sees her mom

4. billy literally noticing that agatha didn’t drink her wine so her wine bottle fills up a little bit. he took notice kind of calling back the “it’s not loyalty it’s analysis” right now billy is only capable of analyzing agatha based either on what she does or what other people say about her.

5. lmaoo agatha’s comment of sure with billy wanting to drink the wine makes so much more sense now.

6. billy saying “i stray not from the path” and agatha’s “thank you teen” comment is actually so much more fucking hilarious. girls like well yeah you made the rules happen no shit buddy.

7. billy’s comment of “anyone can become a proper witch with training” about sharon is very interesting to me. like it’s now realized she doesn’t have magic but he believes that she can learn but girl doesn’t want to learn lmaooo

8. the door is an oven which i think is interesting when the girls just spent the whole episode talking about the stereotypes that witches gain over the years.

9. the way jen is the first one to walk forward towards the first trail - she really is the path ahead

10. holy shit there are so many shots just in general of agatha being in front of teen and teen/billy being off to the side. it really makes the whole rio comment of “you’ve been distracting me from him” so much more real. the audience is literally perceiving this that agatha is at the forefront and billy at the side

11. oh my god i just noticed another shot. when they start walking towards the house: jen is stationed by herself, billy and agatha are together, and lillie sharon and alice are all in one section together. bro they’ve literally been showing through shots what their future is going to be i’m screaming

13. waiiittt agatha’s comment of “sounds like a witch” hits so much after that invitation cuz girl put it together.

14. you can really tell now that agatha is trying to figure out how this works cuz she’s shouting at certain points of “sure we do something terrible but if we don’t follow these obvious breadcrumbs and we won’t get the big prize” she literally was the one to come up with the idea of the wine being an awful experience since she wanted to see what would happen.

15. you really notice how much teen is coming up with this because people are saying shit. sharon brings up “to get these wrinkles out” which that happens her face is swollen. jen says that they’ve been poisoned and well look at that they all feel the affects of the moment. then jen describes the poison which suddenly they all experience the effects.

16. jen said “you’re the canary in the coal mine” about sharon and look she dies in the fucking oven

17. billy stares at agatha again noticing that she’s faking the face and pretending to be effected

19. oh god you really get how billy is pushing them and going back and forth. the drink in a very commending cold tone of voice and then he’s goes slightly softer as he says the word fine i’ll do it oh oh oh

20. agatha and jen interactions are soo much more interesting now and has so many fucking layerings

21. “they can steal your power but not your knowledge” actually has soo many connotions now. while yes it’s about jen it’s also so much about the fucking road and billy in general. billy commands the road and makes everything happen because of his fucking knowledge about a lot of things. he just doesn’t know it yet.

22. agatha’s vision is soo fucking interesting now because i think it’s her more so realizing that billy can just hear stuff and would make it happen even in fucking hallucinations. and also billy ms comment of “what did you see” makes so much more sense. he can’t see into her mind - he doesn’t know the entire meaning of this to her. and he’s so curious about it because he can only analyze her

24. sharon’s death is actually so interesting when you think about it. she technically was cured by the dosage and the door opened when she received it but also the clock was ticking anyway. and then she dies after the trail. part of me wonders if she dies because billy knows that they’re not a full coven because sharon isn’t a witch thus killing her off because she isn’t supposed to be there. but also with his comment about “anyone can become a witch” i wonder if he thinks that she is part of the coven especially since she went under the drinking the wine and at the end he carves her name on the door. soooo yeah all of the coven has to die except for one. billy and death are exempt simply because their both outliers in the idea of death as one is death and one is upsetting the balance and literally creating the road

The past few days I decided to focus on watching Egghead. And oh my god… the animation… It just keeps getting better and better omfg. I thought Wano would be peak, but who knew Toei would keep throwing crazy frames and dynamic scenes.

Especially fucking Law vs Blackbeard?!?!?!? MY JAW DROPPED. Then Luffy vs Lucci happened???? BROO.

There was just a lot of information dropped on me since I kind of binged so many episodes and read the remaining chapters…

Now for the manga…. I fucking love Kuma and Bonney. Lowkey it became the second best backstory for me, right under Robin’s backstory. But I feel like it would be the first best when it becomes animated. My opinion will probably change if I reread it again haha…

The whole world was just against Kuma and his family, and Kuma just fucking endured every hardship and pain for all people suffering. He didn’t fucking care about what people thought of him just as long as the people he cared about are okay. Then it was just so fucking crazy of how his letters were intercepted AND RIPPED TO SHREDS before it reached his 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.

Now about Kizaru….. I want to grab him and SHAKE HIM REPEATEDLY. But like many others, I’ll forgive him if he shows ANY SMIDGE OF EMOTION.

a story my dad once told me about him and my mom that's always stuck with me- is that he asked her why she always ate 3 meals a day even if she wasn't hungry and it took him a while to realize she ate so that she didnt GET hungry. and he, having grown up in the middle of a civil war and severely abused and starved, never even considered that. and just. that one story has always stuck with me cause there are SO MANY things you can take away from that.

the privilege my mom had to eat more than once a day, to GROW UP eating three times a day. the completely separate kinds of experiences that lead you to act preventatively instead of only in reaction to your current surroundings- auhg whatever whatever. my dads a philosophy professor and he's INSUFFERABLE but he's not STUPID lmao so that story just- AUGH.

the way he told us stories was always different from other stories. the stories he told us always felt important and ive only recently realized its probably like, a cultural thing i never understood. and maybe thats where my love of stories comes from (on top of my use of stories as escapism)

ANYWAY slight tweaking of this idea- it'd actually be big progress from Raph to reject food or take a minute and think "ahh no i don't need this". because raph is kind of a food hoarder/binger, since growing up he didn't always know when they'd get more "good" food.

Prologue

So I’ve been thinking about how I’m gonna start doing a Behind The Scenes for Hollow Knight Resurrected And, while I’ve put a ton of theming in the series. I think there’s one theme that really permeates the whole thing. This theme kinda came about by accident… but it’s the least surprising thing in the world that it’s all over these videos, because it’s how the videos came to be at all: Never let anyone tell you that rage and spite cannot create something beautiful. Especially if the thing you’re raging against is “The Way Things Are.” People will try to tell you it is dishonorable to fight against the dark to reach the end of the tunnel. Fight them too. They put the tunnel there. And that light at the end doesn’t just exist in front of you, it’s above you, and if the walls and ceiling of the tunnel cease to exist, that light would shine on you, and all the people you love, where you stand.

But of course the thing I was spiting at the time was the Youtube Algorithm, so if that up there resonated with you, sorry about that kick in the balls lol.

Anyway that’s no secret. That’s how I announced I was gonna be making Hollow Knight videos again! But it ultimately starts with the idea I had for Whenever Silksong came out was a more narrative focused series than my Hollow Knight one, and maybe a little longer running because the only content youtube would recommend to anyone from our channel was the Hollow Knight videos despite the overall praise that they got. They just didn’t get as many immediate views.

But I had an idea of the character I wanted hornet to be. That’s why she’s the best characterized bug early on. And if I ever do end up doing that Silksong series, not a lot of that will have changed. My original idea for Hornet is still very much who she is currently in HKR, I’ve just delved a little deeper. I liked to play a wide swath of games. I’ve never liked to stick to one for very long, and if I was gonna stick to one, it was probably going to be something like Path of Exile. But Hollow Knight is a game that’s good as hell. But I kind of resented youtube for Pigeonholing me into being a Hollow Knight Youtuber. But, it was getting to the point where the channel was just slowly wasting. And, well, Silksong did not come out. And the things that gave us the big views were the Hollow Knight videos. This was on top of me having a pretty bad year. A couple of my family members got very sick from cancer, My dad had mostly decided to remove himself from my life, and I’d gotten into a car crash. So, Fuck it. New Hollow Knight series.

Now having my friends do voice acting was kind of a new idea. And ultimately, just a really good one. I’d had them do some quotes on some of my video essays. But voice acting characters was something I’d just started having them do. The first one was the video directly preceding the Hollow Knight ones. A Dyson Sphere Simulator video about building a giant penis! It was a lot of fun and taking that route into Hollowest was ultimately the best possible way to go! The original idea was to make it a prologue to what the Silksong videos were going to be. Just kind of a short jaunt through Hollownest where I spent one episode per area. And then after every video, put a little advertisement for my other videos to maybe get people to watch those, and then maybe youtube would start recommending them, and then I become un-pigeonholed.

And to be clear. The thing I said in the announcement video where I pointed out it was not the fault of anyone who watched my videos that they didn’t get big. Still true. Youtube Fucked me. Not my fans. I’ve been incredibly lucky on youtube honestly! The very worst comments I’ve gotten have been along the lines of “Broo you’re still doing Hollow Knight stuff? Booring” And contrasting with the best comments that have been close to “this series changed my life” The community I’ve grown and the fans I’ve gotten have always surprised me as being fantastically supportive and wonderful. I might have the most positive comments section in all of youtube! But that means there’s no controversy, so there’s no hatewatching. Youtube would much prefer some toxicity. The only sin the Graveyard Media fans have committed is being way to chill.

But if you’re wondering why I haven’t stopped, even though it didn’t work to stop the channels decline, it’s the same reason that it didn’t become a simple one episode per zone series. Because the more I did, the more I fell in love with what I was making. And the more I wanted to nurture it and make it into something I was proud of. If it was gonna be the youtube channels Last Hurrah, I wanted to make is such a hurrah that it will be worthy of remembrance! (Can’t even keep myself from the LOTR bullshit in this lmao)

And I’m proud of what I’ve done on it. And all the best stuff is still to come. I’ve saved most of it for the final episode. And I’m gonna try and get that done too! Because if I can keep going after all I’ve been through, god will need to come down from heaven with a gun and shoot me in the head if he wants me to stop!

I finally found a way to write that rly works for me and found myself thinking and reminding myself abt it consciously multiple times. (Namely, just finish the skeleton, it's ok if the words are a lil stunted, u will return and double if not triple that word count on the second and third gos when u add the meat.) And i also learned more abt how to make multiparts and longfics work for me, so that's good.
