⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀KEEP ME INTACT ! :
synopsis ! : dolls are such fragile items. their porcelain faces are too easy to crack. but defiance only leads to being taken apart, and put back together by your maker.
now playing ! : glory box — portishead
incl. ! : kento nanami x reader , EXTREME dom nanami, forced sub!reader, master/doll relationship, restricted limbs during interco*rse, br**ding k*nk, slight impact play, oxygen play, hair pulling.
sweat dribbles from kento’s glazed forehead. today was one of Japan’s hottest days in the last decade. fucking global warming. with grace, he unties his tie, leaving it on the nearest doorknob as he soaks in the cool air trapped in his house.
his sweaty body treks aimlessly to the couch, despite you not liking him getting the couch all dirt with his sweat; but who was going to object a working man for his relaxation?
kento closes his eyes, the only noise audible being the air coming from the vents. the house was so peaceful. quiet, clean, cool.
“nngh!” a strangled moan alerts him. his eyes shoot open. he waits for a moment before acting out before he hears it again. “aaa!” this time, more coherent.
no. you knew better. he—he knew you knew better. those sessions you had together after you acted out of line, you should’ve known better. watching your body writhe under him as you beg, plead for mercy as he pounds, and pounds, and pounds, drilling into you.
this girl, he clicks his tongue, taking his tie in his hands for making his way to your shared bedroom.
of course, his eyes did not deceive him. there you were. a wand snug between your legs with your eyes closed shut. your bottom lips was stuck behind your teeth as you let a few noises slip out.
“sweetheart.” he calls to you.
you jump, throwing the wand away while snapping your head towards him. though his face had a soft expression, you knew you had messed up. you had flashbacks of your torture sessions punishments from previous events.
you swallow hard, stuttering over lost words as you try to make an excuse before he crawls on the bed, pulling you closer to the edge by your ankles.
“you already know what’s in store for you, little girl.” he flips you over, pulling your wrists behind you in an X before tying them together. luckily for him, you were already bare. already prepped for him. you were literally glistening. such a beautiful sight for him. he licks his lips as his fingers massage your cl*t.
“so, explain to me what your thinking process was.” he hums. he knew he was making this difficult but he loved seeing you struggle to form a sentence under his touch.
“it’s—aaaa fuck—” you simper, “i was ovulating, kento. it was too much.” you whine, feeling the pad of his thumb prod at your entrance.
you heard the noises of him undoing his belt and unbuttoning his pants. his thumb rubbing on your hip. his silence was terrifying. you didn’t know what was to happen to you and yet it was exciting. kento was unpredictable. so what was to happen next wouldn’t compare to what he’s already done.
he roughly slide himself in you, snug perfectly in your walls. “fuck.” you breathe it, closing your eyes as you let the familiar sensation sink in.
his first thrust is sharp, setting the tone of the next moments he had with you. “teach you a thing or two about,” he seethes through his teeth, feeling you squeeze on his made him lose his train of thought.
he begins to lose his grip on control, his hips moving sporadically into you. “na-nami!” you shriek as he pulls your hair, forcing your back to arch into a ‘U’. but he doesn’t feel like stopping there. he pulled until your back was pressed against his bare chest. he stuffed his face in the valley of your neck, nipping harshly at what he could. “mine.” he nearly growls.
he pushes you back down on the bed, pulling out and flipping you on your back. “i want you to see me when i breed you.” he fucks himself back into you with more fervor.
your eyes start to loll back, your body nearly going numb.
the feeling of a sharp sting on your cheek brings you back to reality. “watch. me.” he pushes your legs behind your ear, giving him a better angle to hit that spot he just can’t reach yet.
you start to sob when the head of his cock starts hitting your walls a little to hard. “that’s it, princess. take it.” he wipes your tears with the pad of his thumb.
he starts muttering, groaning even louder. he was losing control. before you knew it, the weak band in your stomach snapped, your arousal seeping all over him. “f-fuck. such a beautiful girl.” he mutters, throwing his head back.
the last stroke he made had broke him. he let out curdle moan, his pistoning hips slowly stopping. he lets out a deep breath, his eyes flutter shut before a grin paints on his lips.
“what did we learn today?” he looks down at you, his eyes soft. “that pissing you off gets us things.”
guidelines to request.

Saionji & Anthy as abusers
When I say Anthy & Saionji's dynamic is complicated. I'm not actually trying to excuse Saionji as an abuser. ( I just have complicated thoughts on them both).
While Anthy does participate in helping Akio manipulate and groom him. As well as the entire stuco except maybe not Touga. (Who does the same thing way more directly). Which does make Anthy also an abuser. The girl repeatedly emotionally abuses and gaslights all of them. (Utena & Nanami get the worst of it.)
Saionji doesn't know about any of this and just sees Anthy as a helpless girl. He decides to vent his frustration by hitting her. So at the end of the day, Saionji is still an asshole.
I think fans exaggerate his treatment toward Wakaba but he is one hundred percent rancid vibes toward Anthy and Utena. (Who just got in his way of hitting Anthy).
I just bring it up because some fans act like everything Anthy does is justified because the stucco were little shitheads to her.
Which I just don't agree with. it also misses the point that everything Anthy did with/ for Akio was ultimately bad and only perpetuated the cycle that kept her and all the girls and all the Ohtori kids trapped in gender roles.
The BR Rose Ark wasn't even about what the stucco did to Anty, Akio & Mikage couldn't care less about that. It was about violating them, stripping them of their agency to use as tools to groom Utena. It was a violent cycle used to perpetuate more violence.
Anthy is an abuse victim who is encouraged to help Akio abuse other kids. This is why Anthy leaves Akio at the end not only for her own safety but also so he can't keep using her as a tool to perpetuate the cycle of abuse.
I think ultimately ignoring Anthy as an abuser as well as a victim misses the point of the challenge to Utena and the audience to the witch/ bad victim narrative that Anthy represents.
Also, women like Anthy exist in real life and it's hard for them to get care and attention because the law often puts them in the same category as their abusers.

For the Utena ask game: 2, 3, 9, 11?
2. favorite episode (bonus: favorite scene)
Cop out answer, but I'm genuinely not familiar enough with the show to have a single favorite episode. I've only watched it all the way through once, and I'm still in the middle of a second rewatch (it's a group rewatch, the Utena Weekly thing that's going on on the Empty Movement forum). That being said, I really like Wakaba's second episode in the Black Rose arc, and the Tale of the Rose episode in the Akiopocalypse arc. And Nanami's two parter (also in the Akiopocalypse arc).
I love the scenes of fake domestic bliss between Wakaba and Saionji in the BR arc for entirely selfish shippy reasons--they're so damn bittersweet, a taste of what could have been, and you hope desperately that this can keep going even though you know that it can't, even though you know that it's only able to function because of the choking secrecy and play-pretend. Even though you know it's gotta come crashing down around their ears.
Tale of the Rose doesn't have one specific favorite scene for me, but I really like this episode because it does genuinely so much heavy lifting in the context of the show. It gives you two different versions of the same story, and both of those versions give you so much information, both directly and indirectly, about the world of Ohtori, how to decode its symbols, what Really Happened when Utena was a child, how the systems of Ohtori function and what their basis is. I called it the 'lore climax' on my first watchthrough, I think? And I stand by it. Because holy shit. The first half is a great little play, but the second half is like the Flashback To End All Flashbacks.
Nanami's two parter in the Akiopocalypse arc--probably my favorite scene in that episode is right after Nanami 'loses' the duel. It's such a wild emotional ride to see her get hit with a car and then still be standing. Still be on her own two feet. I genuinely think I might have been close to crying from triumph during my first watchthrough when I watched this scene.
3. favorite arc
Oh man, I almost wanna say the Black Rose arc? It's definitely the weakest of all the arcs, but it's got more focus on a lot of the characters that I'm drawn to more than I'm drawn to Utena (rip Utena, you're a great character but you're just not my type). Specifically I'm thinking the focus on Wakaba and Mikage's whole deal. Akiopocalypse is also a solid contender, because of how much it fleshes out Anthy (another of my faves) and also how well it ties all of the themes of RGU together. Seriously, RGU is like a masterclass in how to tell a story and it's going to be influencing my writing for ever and ever.
9. favorite aspect of the show to analyze/read analysis about
FUCK IF I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW IS SO DAMN GOOD I CAN'T CHOOSE
I think my favorite thing to analyze (not necessarily read analysis about) used to be Saionji and his relationship to and position in the systems of Ohtori? But I'm not sure if it's that anymore. At this point I'd probably read literally any analysis ever about anything about this show.
11. favorite and/or most interesting relationship (doesn't have to be romantic)
hhhhhhh DEFINITELY Wakaba/Saionji. It's definitely A Ship but IDK if I interpret it as strictly romantic, but I've definitely written for it (go check out setting down roots for a look at a post-Ohtori possibility for them. Although it was one of the monthly short pieces that was only one draft, so it doesn't cohere quite as well as I would have liked it to, especially on the symbolic side). They have SO MANY PARALLELS (to me). They could have broken down Ohtori themselves if Ohtori's systems hadn't doomed them from the start. They're an intensely tragic pair but only in the specific circumstances that canon put them in. I go crazy over them every time.

ARE YOU HAVING AN AMAZING DAY?
U BETTER BE HAVING AN AMAZING DAY
U DESERVE IT:DDDD
Hejoo:>
I came to say hi, you seem like a very cool person:>
I have a some VERY random questions just wanna get to know ya and random asks abt ur opinions on characters:>
Sea or mountain?
What's a reeeeaally specific thing that you love?
If jjk characters were pizzas, who would br what kind of pizza?
Alr hope I entertained ya<3
Hehe;>
OMDSSS?? Also I tried to add you to the tag list but, like many others, it’s not worked?? I dunno tumblr hates me fr🙁
Okay let’s answer these questions;
1, personally, I would pick a mountain, I love swimming but I’m honestly not a strong swimmer and I have a very irrational fear of drowning and that we haven’t discovered much in the sea, who knows what’s out there. Also I’m a sucker for lovely views which I feel you wouldn’t get much at sea so I’d pick a mountain.
2, a really specific think that I LOVEE is punctuation, I could talk about it for hours, like the interrobang broooo I LOVE IT.
3, Jjk characters as pizza;
Yuji: pepperoni pizza, fun but also a classic.
Megumi: cheese pizza, simple but nice all the same.
Nobara: Hawaiian pizza, not everyone’s favourite, but it is to the ones who like it.
Gojo: chicken and sweetcorn pizza, people who like it don’t shut up about it.
Nanami: vegetable pizza, people who like it tend to stay quiet, shockingly I’ve never met someone likes this and is loud about it.
Sukuna: meat feast pizza, if the shoe fits??
Mahito:broccoli pizza, no one likes this pizza.
And I can’t be bothered to do anymore ANYWAY THANKS FOR ASKING THIS WAS SOOO MUCH FUNNN

♡ TOJI FUSHIGURO - Too full!
Now, Toji knows he’ll more than make up for forgetting to join your lil’ shopping spree anyway. Ten times over, in fact, with the way he has you on all fours, tears rolling down your cheeks, pretty lil’ moans muffled into your pillow.
Stuffing your poor cunt full over and over and-
“Is my pretty baby still mad?” he’s dragging his lips down your neck, throbbing cock ramming into you from behind. Bruising - like he was the one angry here. “Still fuckin’ pouty?”
Too needy, too delirious. It’s all you can do to grit out a determined, “Y-yes…” Your breathless gasps only make his smirk widen, hips stuttering as they get sloppier.
“Aww, what a shame.” Toji coos, angling his head just right to catch the heavenly sight of your poor overfilled pussy, all dripping and painted white with his cum. Eyes lighting up at how you gush around him with each thrust. “Guess I jus’ have to give you another one then, hm?”
“A-another?”
And God, Toji doesn’t even know if he can cum again - vision spotty now, jolts of electricity running down his spine each time he plunges into your snug pussy.
But the way you’re immediately scrambling to hold onto the headboard - the sheets - just anything to hold onto some semblance of sanity has Toji wanting to more than ever. So painfully good as he desperately speeds up. He needs to - and fuck if he wasn’t going to try - because you’re only getting wetter at his words.
“Fuck- squeezin’ me s’fucking tight.” he groans, pushing your skirt up higher, not having the patience to even think of taking that damn thing off. “Ya like this, huh? Like me f-filling you up until m’sorry?”
You can only give him such a delirious little nod, one that Toji doesn’t even know if you realize you’re giving. One that has him needing to show you how sorry he is by filling you up so much you can’t even think about how he forgot to accompany you on your lil’ shopping spree. To fuck you so hard into the mattress that you can’t remember anything else but him-
“Toji!” you keen, as he snakes down his strong arms push your legs further apart to show off. Burning at the stretch of how he was handling you like his favorite ragdoll. “What-”
“Said m- ngh- sorry.” he interrupts abruptly, voice so ragged that it takes you a second to even recognize it as your boyfriend. “See.”
And how could you not?
You were awe-struck at that creamy ring around the base of his swollen cock. The way your gummy walls were sucking him up so easily, fucking back bruisingly into him.
“See how sorry I am?” One hand tightens on your hips, the other snaking up to press down on your lower stomach. Hard. “See?” Both your jaws fall open at the way your ravaged pussy just coats Toji’s cock in such an obscene white mess. “Sorry, doll, shoulda been there for you.”
“Oh- fuck, s’too much.” And maybe you’re stubborn, maybe you just don’t know what’s good for you - because despite it all you manage to choke out, “N’ you don’t ah- mean it.”
Eyes raising to meet his and oh- oh, you weren’t making it out alive.
“I do.” Toji drops his head into your neck, running his mouth. Rolling his thumb against your achingly clit as if to prove his point, “Next time m’gonna hah- watch you try on all those pretty outfits.” Hips rocking forward to slam into your sloppy pussy faster and faster. “Kiss you s-senseless in front of any fuckin’ scrubs that thought they had a ngh- chance.”
Movements only growing more erratic - more feral - with each broken little whine that’s fucked out of you. Like he knew he was so close to breaking you. Ruining you.
Just the thought of it has Toji slamming his dick into you further, mentally cursing himself for forgetting your little invitation today.
“And this lil’ thing?” he bunches up the flimsy fabric of your skirt. “And those-” nodding his head towards the stacks of shopping bags you barely got to look over before a sorry Toji had you shoved onto the bed. “I would’ve taken em’ all off as soon as I was in that changing stall.”
“I-I get it.” you finally break. Squealing at the hips hitting yours harder, his heavy balls squeezing so painfully. “I get it ngh- I get it-”
“Heh, nah- gotta show you how s-sorry I really am.”
You have an inkling of what he was implying - something that didn’t bode well for your abused cunt, if the way Toji’s cock was twitching wildly inside you was anything to go by. Not a moment wasted before Toji’s pushing your knees up all the way until they were at your tits. A sure sign that he was close. Looking like he was in such delicious agony as he taunted you into asking.
“H-how?”
“By fuckin’ you in all of that.” Head tilting at the bags upon bags from earlier today, “Then we’re goin’ shopping all over again.”
♡ NANAMI KENTO - Squirt if you’re sorry
“Keep your legs open f’me.”
But it was so hard when Nanami already had you spread so shamefully in front of that obscene mirror, placed oh-so conveniently right in front of the plush hotel bed. Sat so prettily on his lap, your back against his hard front, being split-apart on his throbbing cock.
Any more and you think you might just die.
“Is that so?” he whispers hotly in your ear and- “Think this is too much?”
Oh, shit, did you say that out loud?
But right now you were too delirious - to fucked-out - to even think of forming a coherent response to that, let alone be embarrassed about your little slip-up. Running solely on the aftershocks of your nth orgasm and the feeling of Nanami’s thumb drawing steady, slow little circles on your sensitive clit.
“Get it together now, my love.” your husband seems to decide that your broken whine speak for themselves. Placing such a mockingly gentle kiss on your forehead, “M’still not even halfway through my apology.”
Ah, yes, the apology - the sole thing that got you into this entire mess. That one off-hand joke that Nanami should apologize for being 7 minutes late for your date - the one that had you shoved into the nearest suite, while he ‘apologizes’ to you over and over and-
“Now now, darling.” Nanami squishes your cheeks together into a pathetic pout, forcing you to look up at the mirror. “Look at me when I apologize.”
Several things happen at once - your eyes just barely make contact with Nanami’s darkened, dangerous ones in the mirror, and then it’s like something snapped. Because he’s thrusting up deeper into your snug cunt, drinking in all your pretty gasps as he starts up at another relentless, sloppy pace.
Not even fucking easing you into it because you wanted an apology, right? And Nanami was sure going to give you one - fuck you like he’s sorry.
“M’sorry!” you keen, bucking wildly into Nanami’s touch. Cock so hot and heavy in-between your swollen folds - still not having came even once yet. “Was- was a joke- I can’t oh- my god.”
He knows - oh, how he knows. But it’s just so fun to tease you this way, and Nanami’s not sorry about that one bit.
So he only lets out a huffed laugh. “Why are you sorry, my love?” Shifting his hips to massage all the right spots that’ll have you breathless and seeing stars. Hitting that one magical spot over and over. “I was the one that’s late.”
And God, you could just cry. You are - big, fat tears streaming down your face, dripping down Nanami’s wrist where he was holding your lolling head steady - but, of course, you’re too far gone to even realize at this point.
“Shhhh, lemme take care of you,” Nanami rocks his hips impossibly harder into yours, eyes on the mirror just devouring you almost as much as he was ruining you with his dick. Watching all your adorable gasps, the way you twitch, how your mouth drops into a soft oh! as he licks a slow stripe up your tears. Dangerous. “Lemme show you how sorry I am.”
And he does, cooing at how your eyes widen when he angles your head to show you the fucking sinful view down below.
It was so hard to look too, how your snug cunt was trying to suck the soul out of him. Sloppy - making such a mess of the crisp sheets below. Quivering like you didn’t know whether you wanted to run away or to sink down for more more more-
You’re jolting in his bruising grasp, “Hngh- m’- fuck fuck fuck. Yes, oh my god- Ken-”
“Yeah? Ya like this?” He’s fucking you back rougher into him, merciless. Absolutely fucking merciless - and Nanami was only glad he thought to choose a sound-proof suite. “Think m’sorry yet?” Biting down on your neck, hard. “Because I’m sooo fucking sorry, my love.”
He lets out a cruel chuckle, one hand groping down your breasts - your hips - your thighs. Pulling them even further apart like he wanted to break you.
Because Nanami wasn’t fucking sorry, why would he be? But oh how he loved teasing you. Acting all pissed off while he threw you around like his favorite toy, giving you a bit of your own medicine. How sexy you were when he did.
“M’sorry.” he breathes against your ear, nibbling on your lobe. “M’sorry m’sorry m’sorry- Next time I’ll be hah- early-” Pooling the fresh wave of your salty tears on his tongue as he toys with your pretty clit. “N’ next time m’gonna make you squirt the first time-”
“Shit- Ken, m’cumming m’cumming-”
Almost like your body is listening to Nanami, you’re squirting all over his achingly hard cock. Absolutely drenching him in all your sweet sweet juices till he was glistening in the dim lighting. Some specks even landing on the mirror in front of you.
And shit you’re out of control now, limbs trembling, such sinful moans leaving your swollen lips. Loud. Uncontrollable. Nanami’s next words barely audible over them-
“Your turn now.”
♡ GETO SUGURU - Nice (and sorry)
“S-so mean-” It’s the only thing you can gasp out, “Y-you’re still not forgiven-”
Oh, Geto knows. And he doesn’t really feel bad about using his apology to his advantage - not one bit, actually. You won’t hear a word of apology from his sly mouth, instead, he’s got you straddling his pretty lips, breathless and shaking above him.
“Even when m’being nicer than usual?~” he hums into your clothed pussy, nose-deep and breathing in your essence so fucking sinfully. “Ya sure about that?”
Disgruntled, “What- ngh- what do you mean?”
“Oh just that-” He licks a long, purposeful stripe up your drenched panties, adding to the mess of your juices beading through the fabric. And God it takes everything in Geto to not just rip off that flimsy underwear and tonguefuck you like he wanted to. “You’re being so loud. Sure you’re still mad?”
You hated it - how he was peeking up at you with those hooded eyes, pupils blown. Hated that predatory glint in them that sends shockwaves right down to your very core. Hated how he was right.
“Th-that doesn’t hah- mean anything.” you scoff, and the excuse sounds flimsy even to you. The way you were grinding down deeper onto his tongue certainly not helping your case either.
And oh of course Geto pulls away at that, obscene little slicks of string snapping from his tongue and your wet core, your disappointed whine going straight to his rock-hard cock. What was it you were saying earlier? Something about him being too much of a tease? Well, you were about to eat your words before Geto Suguru offered you an apology.
“Yeah,” he let his tongue dart out, letting your slick pool through your panties and onto his tongue. “N’ this doesn’t mean anything either, huh?”
No warning before he’s surging forward, tongue pushing through your panties to just barely tease your sloppy entrance.
You can only grip at Geto’s long, inky locks - trying your very best to not look like you’re absolutely on cloud nine as he alternates between toying with that first ring of resistance and sucking on your clit. All through your panties.
“Now now,” a hand on your hip stops you from all but ripping your panties off your hips - something that Geto would’ve already done by now, usually. “Keep ‘em on.”
It’s like he’s trying to drive you mad - wants to drive you mad. Torturing you slowly with that soft tongue and that smirk you can feel against your dripping cunt. As if to say - you really think he was a tease before? You haven’t seen the least of it.
“S’fuckin’ sloppy f’me even through these slutty panties.” he grunts, lips smacking against your swollen ones. “Don’ lie - you like this, huh? Like what a tease I am? Acting so tough when m’so sorry?”
Okay, maybe Geto lied - so what if he said he’s sorry? It was all worth it at how you get so wetter, slick just glistening all over his lips and chin. Walls clenching around nothing - because might’ve said sorry, but oh is he still as petty as ever.
“N-no-” you whimper, and both of you know it’s a lie. Close - you were so close.
Too close, if you asked Geto.
Smack!
A quick, sharp sting on your ass - just a little reminder that this is Geto. Your Geto. And it’s so torturous - so addictive - when he immediately shifts them ever-so-slightly. Wasting no time before lapping at your juices. Just loving the way your jaw drops open in disbelief as he throws his head back to let it slide down, down, down his throat.
“My girl is such a liar.” Grinning at the way you jolt on top of him with each teasing lick at your quivering hole, dragging your slopppy pussy all over his face. “S’fuckin’ wet and you still think you’re mad? And I’m being so-” Rolling his tongue against your clit. Hard. “-nice, too.”
He was not - he knew it. In fact, he was probably being meaner than usual. Mean with the way he thinks your fucked-out head shake speaks enough.
Of course, you still have to run your mouth when you’re being absolutely ruined by him. Whining out an unconvincing. “M’still- m-mad.” - even when you’re deliriously riding his pretty mouth.
Without a word, Geto snaps back your useless panties back in place. One hand on your hip, easily lifting you off his face - letting you fall back prettily onto his lap as he gets up. Weeping tip just nudging your dripping entrance as he reaches behind to tie back his long hair.
And you’re so disappointed at how you were so close, that you almost miss the words that spill from his mouth next.
“Then, will you still be mad if I fuck you just as nicely?”
♡ CHOSO KAMO - Ruined panties?!
“Please baby, let me put it in. Please?”
God, how badly you wanted to just break and give your needy boyfriend exactly what he wants - to let him fuck you how he wanted. But, no, he’d just ruined your favorite pair of underwear and you were not going to let him off so easily again.
“Fuck- Cho.” you huff, fighting to keep your voice steady. “If y’wanna get off to my panties so bad, then ngh- just use that.”
“But, baby. M’sorry.” Choso’s head drops to the crook of your neck, abs rubbing up against your back so sinfully from where he was all pressed up. “I’ll be good this time. So good.” Hands groping underneath your t-shirt, throbbing erection grinding against your absolutely drenched panties. From Choso’s precum or your own slick? You have no idea. “Please?”
And he’s so desperate that Choso probably doesn’t even realize the way he’s sliding his soaked cock between your swollen folds. Fucking his hips forwards languidly, hissing at how dripping wet you already were.
“T-this is being ‘good’?” you gasp at the feeling of his dick, so hot and heavy where you needed him the most. And it’s such a sinful little sound that he immediately snakes a hand down to toy with your throbbing clit - wanting, needing more of it.
“Yes.” nibbling down your neck. It’s like a dam has been broken with each cute little whine escaping your throat. “Yes yes yes yes- Wan’ this so bad. Please.”
Your angry facade is crumbling away bit by bit - and both of you know it. Especially when Choso cranes his head until it’s mere inches away from yours. Dark strands of hair tickle your face as he catches your lips in such a searing kiss.
“Oh god.” he groans into your lips, hips stuttering forward in-between your thighs. Precum smearing everywhere and adding to the mess already down below. “Yeah- kiss me properly, baby. I deserve at least that, hm?”
A resounding rip! of fabric sounds down from below. And you don’t know what you break the kiss to say - to tease him some more? Beg him to just fuck you the way you know he wants?
But it doesn’t matter, because as soon as Choso feels your lips leaving his, he’s chasing after them again with a pained grunt. Licking so sloppily at the seam of your lips, arms wrapping around your waist to pull you deeper onto his cock.
“No- no no no, kiss me.” You can feel his prominent veins rubbing up against you, throbbing in a lewd little thump! thump! thump! as his hips get more calculated. Purposeful. “M’sorry m’sorry, Kiss me ngh- kiss me- need it. Need you-”
And God you should’ve known that Choso wouldn’t be acting this good for so long.
No sooner are you grinding back down on him in shallow, mindless little motions - he’s pulling your panties to the side just enough for his weeping tip to drag lazily against your folds.
“Fuck- please, baby.” He sounds so wrecked already - and looks like it just as much. Skin flushed, eyes hazy and miles away, kiss-bitten lips letting out such sinful little moans that you just know he’ll be embarrassed about later. “M’sorry.”
Panties completely soiled with precum and slick, absolutely ruined in just the way you’d been telling off Choso for not too long ago. Nothing but a slightly tattered, dripping wet mess. What a shame.
What a shame you couldn’t care less.
Scoffing, “F-fine.” But it comes out a bit more breathless than you intended - because Choso’s desperation was contagious. Hands everywhere, chest heaving, fat head pulsing right below your sloppy entrance. “Only this time m’ngh- l-letting you off easy.”
You know it won’t be the last time - and your boyfriend does, too.
Because he doesn’t waste a second. The sentence barely leaving your mouth before Choso’s sinking into your heavenly pussy inch by fucking inch. Brows scrunching together at the way you were sucking the soul out of him, neat fingernails on your hips as he holds you still.
“G-god- so fucking- good. So tight-” he hisses lowly, thrusting in shallow, mindless little movements just to squeeze inside your walls. “Ah- feel so much better than any panties.”
“S-so needy, Cho-”
“I know, m’sorry, m’sorry. Hah-” So fucking massive that it feels like he’s pushing all the way into your lungs. The stretch too sinful, your panties too soaked, breath too hot against your ear as he whispers.“F-fuck- Now, be good f’me, hm?”
♡ RYOMEN SUKUNA - “No more tears.”
“Shut up.” you flinch as he spits on your cunt once. Twice. Feeling like such a fucking toy as he smears it with the mess of your sweet juices down below. “How dare you use those evil, evil tears.”
Why would the great Ryomen Sukuna ever apologize? Why would he ever have you sat on his throne, big arms spreading your legs so sinfully in front of him? Just ravaging your poor abused cunt with his swollen cock. The complete opposite of his image as the merciless king of curses.
Well, that’s exactly what was happening. And it turns out that only a few tears and a single huff of him “not spending enough time” with you today was all it took - to have him bowing down to you.
And all you can do is let out a broken, “I-I didn’t.”
And that only seems to spur Sukuna further, like he was angry more than anything. Angry at you for being so cute and pouty when you’re mad. Angry at himself for letting his pretty lil’ human get this way. Spoiled, so spoiled.
“Liar.” he grunts, spreading your swollen folds further apart with his index - just circling your sloppy hole. “The only time you’re s’pposed to be cryin’ is on my fingers. And-” he slides his angry, weeping tip down your cunt in a long, wet movement. Up and down. Up and down. Smirking at how you’re bucking and pleading under his touch. “-my cock.”
As if to prove his point, Sukuna’s dipping his cock past that first feeble ring of resistance - difficult, with how you’re clenching around him so sinfully as if you’re trying to milk him already.
“Yeah, jus’ like that.” he groans, thumb rubbing obscene little circles on your poor clit. “Suckin’ me up so good. Do y’get sluttier when you’re mad? When you’re makin’ me apologise?”
“Ngh- sh-shut up.”
And oh for how suave Sukuna’s acting, he can’t deny the way his heart squeezes so dangerously at the way you’re letting out delirious little moans. Fucking you so completely dumb.
And he was barely halfway in still.
Legs spreading obscenely wider, clawing onto the chair - his wrist - his shoulders, just anything to help drag your sloppy pussy all over his toned pelvis. To fuck him deeper.
“Heh, cryin’ like you want me to be like this.” He’s rocking his hips in jagged, shallow thrusts that have you letting out such teary moans. “Want me to fuckin’ apologise?” Hard enough that you know it’ll leave marks - his heavy balls on your ass, fingers on your clit, hands spreading your calves. “Well m’sorry, see? M’so so sorry, brat.”
You gasp, “S-so mean, Kuna- hngh-
Yet he sounds anything but. Tone way too fucking delighted at the prospect of having you crying on his thick cock than over some stupid little argument.
And fuck, Sukuna should tease you about how fucking wet you are, how you’re grinding your hips down on him like such a slut. So sloppy all over the expensive throne - gonna be a hell of a job for whoever cleans this.
But, ah, those pretty lil’ tears welling up in your eyes will surely be the death of him. Or maybe the death of you.
“Now now,” he can’t help but huff out a dark chuckle at your disappointed whine as he pulls his fingers away from your throbbing clit. Biting back a deep groan at how glossy they were, just drenched in all of you. “No more cryin’. Told ya I’m sorry, didn’t I?”
And Sukuna meant it.
Because, immediately, he’s shoving two fingers into your mouth. All the blood in his body just rushing to his cock at how filthily you were gagging at the intrusion.
At the same time, reeling his hips back to let himself fuck your tight pussy to the hilt. Rolling his hips forward, all the way until his fat head just kissed your cervix - nothing at all like the almost-gentle little grinds from before.
Eyes widening when he presses right at the back of your throat - exactly where he knew would draw out the prettiest noises from you. Like he was pushing all the way into your lungs. To the back of your throat. Too much.
You’re just as shocked as Sukuna when you cum from just this. Pathetic little moans muffled and slurring together. Jolts of white-hot pleasure going all the way from his fingers in your mouth to your sloppy cunt, fluttering so obscenely around his cock.
God, you were perfect.
“Oh?” he’s chuckling over your delirious little blubbers, “Well, whaddaya know. M’gonna have to get you to give me more of those tears, brat.”
♡ GOJO SATORU - Show you!
When the bouquets and the expensive chocolates don’t work, what else is Gojo to do other than let you tie him up with his blindfold and ride him to insanity? Both a punishment to himself and an apology, of course.
“Sweetheart- fuck!” Gojo groans, hips bucking up to shove his swollen cock deeper into your sloppy pussy. “You’re killin’ me, shit shit shit-”
Nevermind that he doesn’t think he’s ever been harder at the sinful sight of you bouncing on his aching cock above him.
“Sh-shut up, ngh- Toru.” you gasp, hands trembling on his sculpted chest as you claw for some sense of stability. Cunt so wet and dripping all the way down his thick cock as you fuck yourself on him like some toy. “T-talkin’ too fuckin’ much.”
Oh. how he wanted to ruin you like he could.
And he’s letting out such a guttural whine, feet planting on the plush mattress to rock you harder - deeper - down his dick.“But, my girl~” Tugging on the blindfold, acting like it did anything to restrain him. “You’re being so hah- mean.”
“And why’s that?” you scoff, undeterred by those long lashes batting innocently up at you. “You’re still- fuck- still not forgiven f-for crashing my hngh- girls night out, Toru.”
“Still?”
“Still.”
Oh. Well, Gojo might as well just speed up this apology process before he loses his patience - and his sanity. Steadily dwindling away each time you slam your sloppy pussy down on him, with each trail of slick and precum smearing along his pelvis.
And it’s so easy, too.
RIP!
Feeling like he’ll fucking explode, half-lucid mind barely even registering the way he easily tears through that flimsy blindfold, the fabric absolutely nothing against the way Gojo is running on pure need and the thought of you you you-
You can only squeal as his fingers immediately find your waist, gripping so hard you wondered whether it would bruise. “Toru- didn’t you say m- ngh- t-takin’ control?”
“Change of plans.” Is all Gojo grunts out. Lifting your hips so effortlessly up, up, up - only to ram you down on his rock-hard cock with no warning. Filling you up completely - no more of those teasing little grinds and shallow thrusts you were torturing him with. No, Gojo Satoru was well and fully intent on fucking his apology into you. And he says so, of course. “F-fuck m’sorry. Gonna fuck it into this pretty ngh- cunt. M’sorry.”
“Oh- You’re so deep, Toru- hngh.” you whine, fully letting your boyfriend rock his hips up into yours like his favorite sextoy. “C-can feel you deep inside here-”
And oh Gojo thinks he could cum right then and there as you trail down a hand to press on your stomach, right where his weeping tip was massaging all your sweet spots. Stretching you out so sinfully.
“You little minx.” he huffs out a disbelieving laugh, eyes narrowing at your obscenely fucked-out state. “Now m’not sorry.”
“W-wha-” He shuts you up with a quick circle on your pulsing clit, toying with the sensitive nub as he runs his mouth instead.
“M’not sorry I crashed that hah- lil’ hangout.” Hips so harsh against yours, forcing you to feel every dip and curve of Gojo’s muscled body. “Not sorry I ngh- fuck introduced myself to that fuckin’ loser of a waiter that was ah- eyeing you up. Not sorry that I get to fuck you like this afterward.”
And it’s true - Gojo didn’t sound the least bit remorseful about anything he did. Confidence only growing more and more with each pathetic little moan that leaves your swollen lips in agreement.
You’re shaking on top of him, the stimulation too much. “Shit- you’re such a smug- bastard, Toru.”
“Don’ act like y-you don’t like this, sweetheart.” he pulls your head down to catch your lips with his. Barely - just a mess of teeth and saliva and words he’s hissing out, “Jus like you’re -fuck fuck fuck s’too good- acting to be mad with me.” Each word punctuated with a harsh, sloppy jab of his hips that have the breath leaving your lungs. “Mad with how ngh- you’ve got the s-strongest groveling at your fuck- feet.” Movements getting faster. Deeper. “M’forgiven r-right?”
Your voice strained as you whisper against his lips, “Kiss me properly, Toru.”
And he is - kissing you like he’s so sorry as the both of you reach your highs. Stars behind your eyes, blood roaring in your ears. Your gummy walls milking the fucking soul out of Gojo as he cums in thick, hot spurts. Painting your walls a lewd little white that trickles down you shaking thighs. Over and over and-
So, so sloppy. Arms looping around your waist to hold your hips still. Muffling his deep moans into your mouth as his hips slow down only ever-so-slightly, pumping you full of his seed. And it’s almost…sweet.
If only it hadn’t been for the words that leave him as soon as he parts, of course.
“Hey, now that we had apology sex, can we have regular sex, too?”
“...”
A/N. PSA don’t work out relationship stuff like this hehe.

Oh no, you are completely fine. I wanted a discussion on this. Thank you for being polite and restateing your points.
"But for example, with the steven universe reference, I didn't mean to compare utena to it or anything."
I know you didn't but you were still comparing Utena & Steven universe and seemed to be saying because SU did this Utena must mean the same thing. And they have very different demographics. I know SU has some vague Utena references. But They would have different contexts alone based on a lot of factors.
"What I'm getting at is that swords are like,, a form of projection for the wielder. It doesn't just mean one thing exactly, which is why I say "desire" so loosely, and why I applied it to different situations and contexts. Swords and duels are generally a way to push an idea, or get what you want. Its a tool and a battle over an idea, and whoever gets the rose torn off their chest, loses whats dear to them or gets proven wrong."
I don't completely disagree with you on that front honestly.
"And I don't recall implying that Utena is still using patriarchy when she uses the sword powerup with Anthy? Nor did I deny that what Anthy is doing when she gave Touga the powerup is definitely sexual? Did I misread what you said?"
Got to be honest with you what you said for very unclear. The thoughts were a little bit all over the place.
"But from a writing perspective, making your child character whos just morally gray become a full on rapist undeniably feels wrong."
But that's the thing your interpreting the show in a way that feels morally right to you and ignoring a bit of context in the process. I'm not arguing from the point of morals but what's on screen and what the show could be trying to say in that context.
"But to make your morally gray character whos only a young teenager do something so unforgivable, is just a writing choice I refuse to believe is intentional."
Oh boy, you might not want to watch other works by the same director like Pengriundrum then. I'm also coming from the context of viewing some of his other bodies of work.
"Especially with the way that the black rose duelists forget everything and the way the black rose sheaths are never at the very least conflicted about them in terms of the sword-pulling event. Yes, it was their first sexual encounter, and they could enjoy it even if it was forced."
Oh no, I agree with you the way the BR arc is brushed under the rug. Isn't great it's one of my criticisms of Utena. But that doesn't make it not a thing like I said above. I could talk about how I do think the staff could have handled it better.
"And thats why I say that it doesn't match well with the way rgu writes rape. Theres always something pointing to how a character feels, to something as bizarre as Nanamis facial expressions, to the way the camera pans to Anthy while someone is speaking, to the way Akio places his hand on Utena while Chu Chu messes with something, and she goes "Stop that."
I think its more of a side character vs main character thing.
Utena & Anthy & Nanami get more time for their rape & Trauma because their the big focus. (Originally Touga was also supposed to get more focus but his voice actor got sick.) While a lot of characters like Juri, Miki, and Saionji get their trauma less well handled. Especially with the whole repeated victimization thing. (Touga is a huge elephant in the room due to them not doing his episode).
RGU actually does fumble the ball with rape that goes ignored/ unexplored a few more times outside of the BR arc honestly.
Kouze rapes Anthy in front of Miki during his bride duel. It is never touched on again and their just happily spending time together at the end.
(I don't know if the writers just missed it.) But it is weird to see Touga & Saionji so chill considering Touga spends the last episode inviting him to take inappropriate photos with Akio. ( Their whole relationship is not dealt with well in my opinion. anthyutena is dealt with so much better.)
Juri is thankful to Ruka at the end despite him forcing himself on her.
Bayo's Black Rose Arc Analysis
Some notes before I begin:
-This ramble/essay contains heavy discussions of CSA, general sexual themes, and incest. Also, keep in mind that the characters discussed here are 12-17. While I will be looking into how sex affects them mentally and such, I will not tolerate child sexualization here. I will block anyone who makes a single weird comment or make me uncomfortable. We'll be talking about this from a pure psychological standpoint.
-This is a thought dump rather than anything formal, so I won't be dropping episode titles or numbers. I'm also going purely off of memory, and things I said in group chats. So if things lack clarity, this is why.
-I'm not saying I "cracked the black rose arc code" or anything, this is purely my interpretation that I wish to share, due to not seeing many black rose analysis', and being displeased with what some people have said and concluded. I just want to put what I think out there for others to enjoy :3.
-To avoid being repetitive and cluttered, I'll be generally referring to any character who pulls swords out as "wielders", and any character who has had a sword pulled out of them as "sheaths". Any scene where this transpires will be called a "sheathing scene."
-Once again, due to the material of this analysis, I will be blocking anyone who sexualizes the characters in notes, or anyone who I see as creepy.
With that out of the way, let us begin :3!
So I was watching rgu video essays one day, and I stumbled across one about Miki. About halfway or late into the video, they begin talking about how Miki and Kozue had sex in the black rose arc, due to the way she touched him before the sheathing scene, and the way he turned beet red when Nanami asked how it felt for the sword to be taken out. And I thought it made sense at the time, as I was still new to utena, and I only watched it once. And the allegory is clearly there in other black rose sheathing scenes (besides with utenanthy), right?
But then I thought about it more when I rewatched the juriori black rose episode a year or so later, and caught Juri blushing when Nanami asked her the same question. And...wait. Because doesn't all of the black rose sheathing scenes look..uncomfortable? The sheath cries in pain as the sword comes out of their chest, and Wakaba even forced it out of Saionji. And this weirded me out, because why would a show thats so clearly against rape of any kind go on to write something like this? Why did Miki and Juri blush about something that was so forceful? And even if they were under a mind controlled like state, why would they write the wielders to be rapists? With the way rgu writes sex and rape, it didn't seem right, y'know?
So a few months later, when I decided to continue my rewatch and reached the Wakaba black rose arc episode, thats when I truly started to think about it more. And thats when I reached a conclusion: Miki and Juri are more influenced by Touga and Saionji than they realize. And by extension, they're all influenced by Akio.
You see, Touga and Saionji clearly view Anthy as someone to be sexualized. Shes their wife, who would fulfill their every request. Even though they might not know Anthys and Akios relationship, and/or how the latter treats her, this is an undeniable shared mindset.
Even though the boys and Utena uses Anthy as a sheath in the exact same ways on the outside, you know that when its with Touga and Saionji, its sexualized. They own her. When Touga demands Anthy to kiss his sword, it feels so off that Utena couldn't bare to watch. You could argue that its because it would hurt Anthys lips, but in later episodes its clear that it isn't the issue, as Utena uses the same powerup but in a more supportive fashion rather than sexual. So whats up with that?
I say; in (most of) the wielders view, the sword is like a penis.
I know, a very silly thing to say. But I don't mean exactly. And I, of course, don't mean literally.
Do you know that scene from the scream movie, where the two guys are stabbing each other, begging for it and all? It definitely has sexual undertones, because of the mood set by the characters, and heres where I'm getting at; the idea of a long pointed object being thrusted in you.
What I think is that Anthy is so sexualized by the student council, that the idea of a simple sword being pulled out of her 14 year old south asian brown girl chest, is arousing.
So when each of the student council members become sheaths themselves, of course they think that its one of the most sexually intimate things to experience. And its so stupid, right? Its just a sword. a SWORD.
And I shouldn't be referring to the student council so generally, because Nanami is the only one who sees through this. As far as I remember, she wasn't weird in the slightest when she was Tsuwabukis sheath. And even in the apocalypse arc, shes uncomfortable when Touga kisses her, and disturbed when walking in on Akio and Anthy (but then again I haven't rewatched that episode yet, so I could be wrong). She purely meant to ask how the sword felt, with no sexual intent. Miki and Juri were just pure idiots on that part.
So then, wait, if the sword pulling in the black rose arc wasn't a metaphor for rape, then what is it?
Well, I argue that it black rose wielders follow the same mindset as some sexual assaulters when they're under the effects of Mikages reverse therapy, in a way. Its the strong feeling of thinking the sheath owes the wielder something, and that the wielder deserves it no matter what they say.
Another reference to a different piece of media, but remember when its revealed that Pearl continued to fuse with Garnet for her own personal wants, which crossed Garnets boundaries? People interpreted that scene as Pearl raping Garnet, when....no. What? Of course she isn't. Its just the general idea of your wishes being disrespected, and boundaries ignored. Do you see where I'm going with this?
The black rose wielders see something in the sheaths that they want for themselves, whether it be their love, their attention, or some secret third thing. So with nothing but entitlement and desperation in their heart, they force the sword out of their hearts, where their desires lie.
But, wait. How about other scenes with swords? Like when Anthy is Utenas sheath, and when Anthy has a thousand swords stabbed into her? Do swords still represent desire?
Well, yes! Very easily. Utena fights for the pure sake of love and friendship. She fights Saionji when hes cruel to Wakaba, and she swears to protect Anthy with all her heart. She duels with the strongest ounce of care in her soul. Thats the desire to keep her loved ones happy.
What about when Anthy what continuously impaled? Well, that was the villages desire to get to the prince. And it was Akios desire to finally revolutionize the world after so long.
I may be missing a few scenes, but this is the general idea, and I hope I got the idea across. Thats the end of my little ramble :3. As an acespec hypersexual, I already spend a lot of time deconstructing the truth behind sexual things and feelings. So this was fun to think about. I hope y'all liked this, and understood it most importantly. Toodleeess

Part 1 of the Courtesans Series is live on AO3!
(Side note: if you're wondering about the asterisks, it's because Tumblr is a pain when it comes to showing in the tags lol.)
Rating: MA (don't read if you're not 18+)
Tags: Tomoe/Nanami, pr*stitution, s*x work, dub con, time travel, drama, eventual romance, minor original characters, s*x with original characters, no romance with OCs, nanami is of age, nanami is not a god
Summary: [AU] Nanami had just finished college when she fell into a time slip, taking her back 500 years in the past to the World Over Yonder. With limited options to survive, she takes a job at a famed br*thel as a courtesan. Her original hopes of saving up enough money for better options are dashed, but when she hears of a certain fox who has the ability to travel to the mundane world, she loses her head and forgets what a dangerous yokai he is. If he can’t help her get back home, then perhaps at the very least they can help each other change.
[Warning: S*xual coercion, assault, abuse, and uncomfortable s*xual scenes (none of this is between Tomoe/Nanami). Meant for a very mature audience from an emotional lens, so if you’re looking for pure smut, this is not the fic for you.

Sci fantasy au ramble time lets gooooo
So I've been thinking a lot abt morfonica in the sci fantasy au, and more specifically their respective relationships with their families. Now I've touched a bit on Touko before since they have a bit of a worst case scenario situation, but I don't think I've really talked abt the other four much before, and I probably should talk more abt how they were adopted into their families to begin with.
Rui has the simplest backstory, with her being adopted in a fairly normal manner. Her parents were in a situation where they couldn't afford to raise a werecat baby that wouldn't know to keep itself hidden since their identities as werecats were very much not public within even their household, but they still wanted a kid, so adopting a human child seemed to be their best option. They did their best to hide the fact they were werecats from her, but that resulted in them being.... Incredibly distant. And it's not even like they did a good job at hiding it, Rui still ended up growing up with a vague understanding of what they are.
I've touched a bit on Nanami before, but I didn't rly talk much abt how she was raised. Despite her family being demons, she was raised fairly normally, well as normal as she could get anyways. Her parents were still artists and tried to encourage her to follow a similar path, but some of her other adoptive relatives lived in the same manor, and while they were generally polite enough, she still ended up having to sit through a lot of demon magic lessons along with being taught how to make proper demonic contracts, which while usually a human wouldn't be able to do any of those things, she was able to thanks to the great amounts of demonic magic inside her that was keeping her alive. Thanks to being able to do all this stuff along with the casual nature most of her families discussions with her abt demon stuff, she actually didn't know for a long time that she was even human, let alone adopted. Yeah most of their true forms looked very different from her, but they rarely took those forms and it wasn't like anyone had told her. It wasn't until her family got the notice about the evacuation that she was told about any of this, so yeah that's a lot of stuff that was suddenly dumped on her
Unlike Nanami and Rui, Mashiro has very much been aware of the fact that she's adopted for a long time, so it's not a big deal to her. Her moms are both vampires, and that combined with the fact that one of them is an ocean vampire meant that she spent her early years fairly isolated, although they still tried their best to allow her to interact with other people when they could. They ended up adopting her after her ocean vampire mom saved her from a ship wreck when she was only a little over a year old, and Mashiro has absolutely heard this story many times djdbhdjd. Her moms are very doting, although they can be a bit clingy at times thanks to the fact that they aren't technically allowed to raise her. When it comes to vampires, it takes a lot of work just to be allowed to move in with a non vampire, even more so to date one, and it's basically impossible to adopt one, since there's basically no systems set in place for it. You want a kid? Great, they'll encourage that, but it either has to be biologically yours or you can apply to be assigned to raise an orphaned or turned vampire kid. Mashiro doesn't fit into either of these categories, so they have to br very careful about raising her to avoid getting the attention of the local vampire organisations. This actually becomes a much bigger issue later in the story, but dw abt it for now
Now Tsukushi is the other one who's pretty much always been well aware that she's adopted, but this time it's actually a bit more of a touchy subject for her, thanks to how much controversy within vampire communities her existence has brought, which others outside of her immediate adoptive family make very clear at almost every given opportunity. Basically, she ended up being filed into vampire records and adopted into a waiting family as a turned baby, after a vampire who had lost control over their beast form had killed her parents and only barely didn't kill her, although she was still infected by their venom. She was registered into the systems before she had been properly turned, and given to a family to raise her. Now, after someone is infected by this kind of werebeast or vampire venom, they will get horribly sick, with three possible results. They either die and stay dead, die and then come back as a vampire or werebeast, or in incredibly rare cases, they simply recover. The latter is such a rare event that most modern day vampires and werebeasts don't even know it's a possibility, and well, guess what happened with Tsukushi. This caused a lot of discourse within vampire communities, since a human being allowed to be considered a full member of a vampire family was unheard of, but she had already been fully put in the records, along with fully legally adopted by the family, and at this point the only way to take her out of the picture would be to kill her, which wasn't a great option to say the least. Ultimately it was ruled that there wasn't much that could be done about her situation and that they'd just leave her to be raised within their community, but this was still very much a controversial ruling, even if no one against it could really do anything about it. While Tsukushi's immediate family are generally very caring and do their best to keep her from witnessing too much of the discourse, she is still very much aware of the whole situation. She tries to not focus on it too much, but it definitely doesn't help with her already existing self confidence issues.
#rat rambles#band posting#sci fantasy au#this ended up being about a lot of vampire drama sorry smzgjsysj#but for more elaboration on mashiro's eventual conflict her parents do get found out eventually#if any of you remember the kill chart you may remember that I listed that kanon tries to kill mashiro#thats because she was assigned the job of taking her out after she was found out#luckily though tsukushi was there and kanon rly rly didnt want to actually kill her so they were able to reach a comprimise#tsukushi's family is a part of a different district that kanon is so if tsukushi could have plans to grant mashiro protection#kanon could not kill her and report back to her district that she couldnt to avoid overstepping and causing further conflict#but that means that tsukushi now has to find a way to actually register mashiro for protection before tge higer ups in kanon's district#change their minds#and since the only type of protection thats an option for the two of them are relationship based ones#its fake dating au time babey#it doesnt end with any real romance but they sure do get to be awkward at family dinners together snsbhsh#that doesnt quite get mashiro's moms fully out of trouble though :/#ocean mom is pretty much in the clear since she yknow. lives in the ocean.#but land mom is in a bit more trouble.#shes fine she doesnt die or anything but it is a but rough for a while#yes I have thought too much about this yes these details probably only appear to me no that will not stop me from talkimg abt them

MUSICAL UTENA: DEEPEST BLACK HYPE HYPE
So the first image for the new Utena musical released yesterday, and tonight me and ? HOLY SHIT LIKE TEN OTHER PEOPLE ? are going to find out the ticket receiving situation from the first round lottery for access to this epicness. What do we know so far? So far, as confirmed before, we have Utena, Anthy, Wakaka, Juri, and Nanami all returning from the first musical to reprise their roles, with Miki and Saionji being replaced by new actors. C-ko will be played by the lovely young woman that played as A-ko (the brunette) in the first musical, and casting has been done now for Mikage, Mamiya, Akio, and Shiori. The full cast as of now, compiled by Stefani_msp of the Discord: Ami Noujo as Utena Tenjou Yuka Yamauchi as Anthy Himemiya Tsubasa Yoshizawa as Saionji Kyouichi Riona Tatemichi as Juri Arisugawa Yûta Higuchi as Miki Kaoru Arisa Suzuki as Nanami Kiryuu Yume Takeuchi as Wakaba Shinohara Fuyuna Asakura as Shiori Takatsuki Yohdi Kondo as Mamiya Chida Airi Kumata as Shadow Girl Yū Yoshioka as Akio Ohtori Hidenori Tokuyama as Mikage
Yohdi Kondo appears to be far and away the most popular figure in this lot, with 250k odd followers on Twitter...a sum that dwarfs literally everyone else including Ikuhara himself. So that will be interesting and almost definitely involve bringing more butts into seats, similarly to how (and I can attest to this), Ami Noujo, having been a founding member of Nogizaka46, drew a fanbase of people who were clearly there to see her more than Utena. Also, Yuka Yamauchi has already tweeted a mention of Yuu Yoshioka as someone who ‘was already like a brother to her,’ and confirmed that these two at least have worked together in the past.
Thus far we have no casted Kozue or any further characters, nor do we have new shadow characters. This production is in a theater with 950 odd seats to the original’s 242, though, with a significantly larger, more vertical stage. So I do suspect more people will be cast to fill that space out in the way they did for the original musical, with ‘flavor scenery’ about as songs were performed. Also, the choice to cast Mamiya explicitly instead of use a shadow or Anthy does indicate a more literal interpretation of the arc, more in line with the first one. Casting Akio, IMO, is a huge sign they do intend to finish the fucking show, now. Why? Because in the arc on its own, he only interacts literally with three other characters in any way, two of them remotely important. (LOL Kanae) He’d be easy to remove from a BRS musical, because the point of his presence is to set up further content later. Soo...FML, I guess.
In the meantime, please consider donating to our GoFundMe, which has been adjusted now that we’ve booked everything to more accurately reflect the main sting of this for us. We...honestly didn’t expect this was coming, since it wasn’t announced at the meet and greet last year that was held for people who bought the Blu-ray at the show. At this point, though, I’m just working on the assumption I have at least one, maybe two more of these damn things on my hands, god help me. D:
I mean also hype, but God WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME YOU KNOW I AM WEAK AND POOR
PS: Akio and Shiori fan TERROR solidarity, I don’t know what’s worse, if they nail them or they make a mess

IF IT’S NOT ME
ingredients :: “established” relationship , threaten of a divorce and taking the kids (by f!r) , piv sex , missionary , br*eding k!nk? , normal workaholic!nami , angst + smut/fluff ending , based off my bot
your feet splashing through the puddles took your mind off of everything. your husband, his job, your kids missing their father. everything. you were drenched. but to you, it was better than wallowing in your insecurities.
the sound off a car pulling up on the curb mixed in with the pattering rain drops hitting your shoulder. nanami rolls the window down, the car’s speed matching with yours. “[name], get in the car. it’s too cold for you to be out here.”
if it weren’t for you not answering his messages, he wouldn’t be here. he knew the messages were going through to you and he also knew that you were ignoring each one. “i’m not gonna say it again. get in the car.” realizing that his words weren’t getting through to you, he rushes out the car, sliding out of his suit coat and putting it on you. “will you ever listen to me?”
the car ride consisted of nanami scolding you for not letting him know that you were going on a walk or not listening to him. “this isn’t about you proving how much of an independent woman you are. it’s about you not getting sick.”
he stops the car, looking at you—waiting for you to say something. you knew what this would lead to. you have your face stuffed in a pillow, crying out his name his tip kisses your cervix with each stroke.
but you were tired of that. you didn’t even care about the state of your marriage. you just wanted him to know how hurt his children are because of his absence. it pained your heart each time you heard them cry and beg for their father to come home, consoling them while telling them that it’s not their fault.
not wanting to add to the already annoying equation nanami has made, you step out the car, fishing for your keys and you approach the front door. before you can slide the key into the hole, nanami stops you, mumbling something about a woman shouldn’t be opening a door as he opens the door for you.
“can you explain what that was about?” he rummages through cabinets, grabbing a cup before filling it with water. “and why you couldn’t talk to me about it?” “because we’ve talked about this already.” he turns to you, his face giving a faux shocked face. “have we? does it pertain to my job?” he takes a sip of his drink with heavy eyes.
“you’re never home—” “here we go.” he sets the glass down, preparing for the far from foreign conversation. “i can’t just quit my job. it’s how i put food on the table, [name].” “no one is telling you to quit your job!”
nanami pinches the bridge of his nose, sighing in frustration. he wasn’t one to yell at the ones he loves. and on top of that, your kids where sleeping in a room not that far. “do you see this house? we have this because i work my ass off day and night while you sit your lousy ass on a couch, waiting for me.”
his words jab at you, making your heart twinge. lousy? lousy?! “i’m done.” you walk past him, heading towards the kids’ room. “what are you doing?” nanami was hot on your trail. “i’m done having this conversation. this time, it wasn’t even about me.” having both children in your arms, you head to the front door but not before turning to nanami once more. “it was about our kids.”
he follows you to the car, spewing swears and insults as you try to console your already upset children. “it’s okay. we’re just going to stay with your uncle for a while as mommy gets a job.” you kiss both of their foreheads as you fasten their seatbelts.
“you can’t do this. they’re my children.” nanami tried to catch you before you close the driver’s door, hitting the window. you’ve never seen him this angry. he always kept his composure in tense situations so this was foreign. but you were tired of having to console your babies every night he failed to make it home at a timely manner; it hurt you to know that your children felt unloved by their father.
“i’ll be back for their things tomorrow.” with that, you drive off, leaving nanami shocked and distraught.
the next morning, you fulfilled your promise. you showed up at his house early to collect your children’s belongings. you knocked which was useless since you still had a copy of the house keys.
“oh, you’re here.” he quickly lets you in. it has been less than a day and he looks like shit. the house’s energy had shifted. “is this your way of asking for a divorce?” he pops a question.
“yes, nanami. it is. i’ll have the papers for you to sign soon.” you head to kid’s room, beginning to take all of their belongings in a bag. “and if i don’t sign the papers?” you groan. “don’t be childish.”
“so did we mean nothing to you?” “that’s rich coming from you. you’re barely home so this divorce won’t feel any different from the last few weeks.” you step closer to him. “you keep telling me you’re working to keep a roof over our heads but what are you doing to keep this family together?”
you could hear the cogs in his head turning as he thought of the next thing to say. but he was defeated. he couldn’t come to terms with being an absent father and husband.
his arms pull you into an unexpected hug, leaving you to feel stiff in the hug. “i’m sorry. i—i don’t know what to do. i never wanted this to…” he trails off, hoping you get what he was trying to convey. “i know.” you return the hug, resting your head on his chest.
“can we talk about this? actually take about this. i can’t lose you and the kids.” he leans back, looking you in the eyes. you could tell how much of his guard he let down. he was vulnerable in this moment. he was about to lose the only thing he valued—cherished.
you two had came to agreement. nanami and you would create a reasonable schedule for him in order for him to be in you and your kids’ lives more. “i think we did good.” you put the cap on the expo marker, looking down at the dry-erase calendar, decorated with events and notes. you look up at him, quickly disregarding your anger. “don’t you think?” you smile at him.
though you had pure intentions, nanami’s mind was in a feral state. he hadn’t seen you care for him like this in months and he didn’t realize how much he missed it. it was…sexy.
he gently but quickly pulls you in for a kiss, “jump.” he mumbles, wrapping his arms around your waist as your legs wrap around his. your mouths hadn’t left each others as he moves to your shared bedroom.
he placed you softly on the mattress, quickly shrugging off both yours and his clothes. “i’m sorry,” he mumbles in your skin, kissing down the valley of your breasts, “fuck—i’m sorry.” his fingers loop on the side of your underwear, pulling them off. he gasps as he takes in the sight of your glistening cunt. it had been a while since you two had been active but he remembered the workings of your body.
his thumbs starts to draw tight circles on your clit, “say you forgive me.” he demands softly. he knew you already did. he just needed to hear it verbally for him to be satisfied with himself. “say it.”
at that moment, the only thing that could come out were whines and incoherent responses. you mustered up any type of strength and muscle mobility for you to speak. “i forgive you!” you whine, thrashing your body as his circles get tighter and tighter.
“good girl.”
those words were enough to send you of the edge. you missed his praise, his attentiveness to your body. everything. he pumps his lengths a couple times before bottoming himself in, earning a gasp from you. he winces at how tight you were, “i’ve been neglecting you, my love.” his hand creeps down your arm before intertwining his hand with yours, putting your hand by your head.
his hips push into yours, the sound of skin slapping echoing through the bedroom. nanami’s praises pushed you closer and closer to your second orgasm. you swore you saw heaven each time his cock slide in and down your gummy walls.
he leans down to press and kiss on your lips, whispering—chanting ‘i love you’s. “i’m gonna put a baby in you.” he grunted with intention, his hips quickening.
you felt his load pour into you, your back arching as you followed suit. “fuck.” his hips stop. he closes his eyes as he tried to catch his breath. he slowly slides out of you, laying down next to you while facing you. “what do you think this one with be?” you crack a joke, crossing your legs as you turn to a girl. “i hope it’ll be a girl.” he kisses your cheek, pulling you close to him, your head tucked under his chin.

Akio, Predation, Trust, Victimization, and the Black Rose Saga
This came up in the Discord, and I wanted to take the opportunity to expand on it and develop the idea. I was trying to articulate how, especially on repeat viewings, Akio's scenes in the BRS manage to create a mounting unease despite appearing less openly predatory than similar moments in the Akio Arc and beyond. I pulled random screen caps from these scenes into one place, and looking at them this way, it's a lot plainer why.
**** I guess I should note, that this is spoiler heavy and discusses in detail Akio’s...well..predation of Utena. So if that, and the disgusting shit it pertains to, is a trigger for you, stay away. I mean for this to be a serious exploration of something that is absolutely horrifying, and my primary argument is that it was deliberately set up by the creators of the series to be that way. I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this, but I’m in no way endorsing Akio’s behavior, trying to shift blame, or do anything to distract from the damage it does and how sickening it is that it happens. Kind of the opposite. Not only is it sick, the show made a concerted effort to make it even worse. This became a huge wall of text. Sorry. If I thought the uncomfortable wasn’t worth exploring, I doubt I’d still be running an Utena website after 15 years.
When we first meet Akio, there are four people in the room, it’s brightly lit, and Akio impresses on Utena that he’s 1. *just* the deputy Chairman, 2. an airhead that likes the stars, and 3. oblivious to the dueling game. He’s sitting back, Utena’s sitting back, and the whole thing appears offensively innocent, though seconds before he was making out with the woman he’s more or less ignoring right now.
In episode 15, they’re alone, but the room is brightly lit. Utena sits back. Akio leans forward. This is not a suspicious pose in itself, and is generally accepted as one a person would use to seem relaxed. However by this point, we already suspect absolutely everything Akio does, because we know what he’s like outside of this innocent little scene. Also...
A shot splitting off Akio’s space in the room focuses instead on the picture (that faces away) of him with his sister, as though to establish she’s there. The conversation focuses on Anthy, as well.
But what we see on Akio’s side isn’t Anthy. Not just a vase full of roses, but wrapped roses also, as if they’ve been delivered to him. This is the first time Akio and Utena are alone, and something else is on his mind. We see wrapped roses like this again, after all, in episode 33. His seduction starts here.
In episode 17, we don’t see the picture again--Anthy is gone. The room is now dark. Utena leans forward, becoming more comfortable in his presence. Akio is looking up, though Utena is not, and while he does so, he’s talking about Utena herself, comparing her to Ganymede, and warning that her innocence can be hurtful to others. This is the first time he talks about Utena in an abstract, *who* she is rather than that she just is, and what he says is both flattering and clearly not appropriate in the capacity of a Chairman. The pretense of his status separating them has been pulled down, and for those of us listening from the outside, his addressing of her innocence at all is foreboding. It’s made worse by an assumption I’m having that Utena is unfamiliar with Ganymede, who is a beautiful youth abducted by Zeus for his pleasure. A story that’s taken as an endorsement of the predation of young boys by adult men. Utena not being a boy is fucking irrelevant.
Though visually there’s no progression in episode 18, in this scene, Utena tells him about the Prince she dreams of, suggesting she’s now comfortable enough to look past his age, gender, role of authority, or any other of the number of reasons you wouldn’t say such a thing to him. She then doubles down and asks him if it means she’s not an adult. Akio tells her that stars lose their brilliance as they age, and this is not a veiled answer: “You’re a child, and I like that about you.” Utena registers on some level a wrongness about this comment, and she immediately diverts the conversation and brings up Kanae and him. His answer leaves her unsettled, and without a conclusion that would help establish her role when she’s with him, nevermind make it safe one.
Episode 19′s scene is all about the mounting tension between Akio and Anthy on Utena’s account, and her total obliviousness to it. At this point, that the siblings are locking horns over the issue establishes his progress as much as any scene we could have been shown with him and Utena. His body language has become very casual, especially with the arm slung over the back of the couch. This isn’t an unusual thing to do for a guy, but consider that we repeatedly see him pose this way when we’re shown his sexual relationship with Anthy--more than once, by this point. It accompanies the “Come here, Anthy.” line in this arc, as well as being how he’s posed in episode 32, when Nanami finds them. The dialogue in this scene is also rich:
Akio: But, Tenjou-san... The inside of a person's heart is like something veiled in silk. Ahh... It seems like you could see through, but in fact you can't. The prince people hold inside their heart...is surely something that others wouldn't understand. But, I envy young people who are in love. Akio: I hope you, too, will find your own prince soon, Anthy. Anthy: Yes, Onii-sama.
We’re supposed to think he’s talking to Utena, but Akio and Anthy have their eyes cut off from the frame in succession, because the real conversation is literally going over Utena’s head. What Utena takes home as a deep thought about the complexities of the human heart, that he is sharing with her because he thinks she’s ready for such insights, Anthy is hearing as a reminder that Utena doesn’t know sweet fuck all about her, him, or what’s important to either of them. It is, after all, perfectly fine for him to sexually abuse this child, but not for her to give a shit or care about Utena in any serious way.
In episode 20, we’re alone, the room is dark, and we’ve abandoned the couch for a different kind of intimacy: idle comfort. Utena is stretching, going about the business of what’s important to her because being in Akio’s presence no longer constitutes a visit, but simply hanging out. It’s the difference between friends you sit at the table and talk with and friends you make help cook first and then sit in the living room watching cat videos with. (What?) Akio has positioned himself similarly, on his back lying down so he can comfortably watch the stars. Utena is no longer a visit to him, either.
This growing comfort allows him to say things to her, about her, that she would have found uncomfortable back in episode 18. He says her lack of self-consciousness is a special trait she carries from birth, that separates her from others, who are mostly without any personal trait of value themselves. This is an invasive, flattering thing for an adult to say to a teenager. It’s also implying an expectation about how she will act, assuring that her behavior continue to suit him.
Us poor viewers get even more from the scene. He says this while she’s stretching, so that when we see her do a great deal of the same in episode 33, we are called back to this scene, and her apparent lack of self-consciousness. We see then a comfortable, familiar behavior being retreated to in her nervousness, her special trait diminished under the press of his attention.
In episode 21, the last of these scenes in the Black Rose Saga, Akio is not even initially present. However, he very much is there, and this scene is something of a mirror of the first time Akio and Utena are alone. In episode 15, Anthy’s presence is created partway through by her being in the photograph, and here Akio’s presence is only established well into the scene. (The elevator dings right at the beginning, so he’s in the room the entire time.) In episode 15, the topic of conversation was about Anthy to begin with, and in this scene, Utena is repeating things Akio has said, so that in both cases, the sibling is present from the get go. Utena now has established, separate relationships with the two.
Utena focuses on what he’s taught her about the stars here, which feels almost like revisionism at this point, as if to make sure we know he actually bothers to. What we’ve been shown up to this point isn’t their astronomy and mythology lessons, but rather the progressive establishing of intimacy between Akio and Utena. A deliberate and focused effort to build her trust, by appearing to physically keep a proper distance, while verbally doing anything but. Framed as discussions about the various goings on Utena experiences in the school, Akio tells her hopeful things, cynical things, and most often, things about herself. He flatters her, but also reinforces her childishness. He makes invasive observations about who she is, and then implies an expectation that she not be self-conscious around him. And now we see he lets her use his prized projector when he’s not around, which is not a thing most adults would let a child do.
The unease these scenes create is deliberate. The show goes to great pains to introduce Akio as a sexual creature; we first see him in the context of the story making out with Kanae, and by the end of that episode, we know he’s sleeping with Anthy as well. Several episodes in the arc, in fact, end on this note. We’re reminded over and over that Akio is not only sexually active, but is so by way of an extremely taboo relationship that doesn’t appear to bother him in the least. Taken apart from that (if one could ever really do so) these scenes aren’t nearly as suggestive as they feel; Akio never leers at Utena, and in fact doesn’t even touch or go near her until much later, in episode 25. He says flattering things but they dance a fine line between flattery with a sexual end, and just encouraging things an adult (unwisely, perhaps) might say to a child to drive their self-esteem.
Utena is elsewhere in the show often oblivious to the subtext of events going on around her, so it’s not surprising she never seems suspicious of Akio. What we take to be extremely concerning, she has no reason to. What we see as the unambiguous predation of a child by an adult, she has no reason to think of in that way. She has no previous history to make her suspect (the way Touga would) and he does nothing that would be obvious to her to shift her reading of his actions away from Anthy’s friendly brother to sexual predator.
As naturally suspicious viewers that have watched an arc of Touga draped weirdly on beds, we probably would have been concerned anyway. Maybe we’d bring very real, very rational points of view to it, and be worried on her behalf because he’s an adult man in a position of power over a young girl. Instead, the show makes a concerted effort to make us suspicious from the moment Akio appears, sacrificing what could have been a slow, dramatic reveal (his relationship with Anthy) for what we get instead: unambiguous awareness that what he’s doing is predatory. That his end goal, from the moment Utena is in a room alone with him, is sexual in nature. Their first meeting, and the culmination of that effort, are marked by the wrapped roses that have been delivered to him. The show makes sure we know, every moment, what is happening here.
By the shift in tone he takes in his own arc, Utena has been made comfortable and familiar enough with him that her impulse isn’t to run. Her violent reactions to Touga’s invasions of her space in the first arc are nowhere to be seen. Akio’s slipped just far enough past her boundaries to mute the alarms that should be going off. He can sit close enough to her for body contact, and her embarrassment at the intimacy appears totally apart from any fear of it. She can retreat into discussing Kanae when he declares a trip to the hospital is a date, but in the aftermath of their kiss (that Akio watches, lest we forget), her reaction is guilt and interest. She’s been groomed past directing that concern at the proper target, and instead blames herself. A sad but common side effect of this kind of predation.
But you know what? I expect nothing less from SKU. This is a series that builds up all of this creeping tension and disgust, and cashes it in on an episode framing the act entirely from Akio’s point of view. It isn’t enough to spend several hours watching with horror his stalking of this prey, we’re forced also to watch what it does to her, her discomfort and awkward rambling, and how he sees it: as beautiful. The sequence in question in episode 33 is long, meticulously animated, and makes Utena look more feminine than she looks at any point prior. There’s a massive disconnect between how sexual she’s drawn, and how she behaves. And we know why.
This isn’t an easy topic to discuss. Revolutionary Girl Utena isn’t an easy show to watch. And this isn’t an easy thing to ignore, and shouldn’t be. The show cares not for what experiences we’ve had going on. Whether we recognize Utena’s position immediately, or have to extrapolate from the information given. Whether we know or not how she feels, we’re forced to watch it with all the cards already on the table. We’re forced to watch Akio, knowing it’s his goal, before watching from his perspective the culmination of his efforts.
The experience is an assault of its own. The meticulous cultivating of Utena’s willingness and our dread occur simultaneously, so that when we’re finally put in that hotel room, only her face in frame, we’re as trapped in the moment as she is. Even if we look away, we’ve already seen everything leading up to it, a turning of talent and skill to horrifying ends. Our heroine’s trust is gained and abused. Her youth and her innocence is preyed on. And by the vantage point we’re given, and the force with which we’re made accomplices, we’re preyed on as well. The small comfort experiencing it alongside her would have given our peace of mind is denied to us. We’re forced in horror into Akio’s point of view instead, knowing acutely how much it pleases him. Because of course we are. Haven’t we been watching all along, knowing what he was doing? Peeking through squinted eyes at each step closer, expecting, dreading, but anticipating the same thing he has?
It’s not hard to imagine that Akio, aware of his audience, would be pleased to an excess with what’s done to us. And I wonder...perhaps that is the point of the care and cruelty with which his seduction is portrayed by be-Papas. It’s not just righteous anger on Utena’s behalf that we feel, but righteous anger on our own as well. He is an absolute abuser, and every character he meets is a target of that. Perhaps it only makes sense that us, viewers from a great distance divided by reality, manage still to be his victims also.

Nice to Meet You, I’m Watanabe Miho!
Member: Watanabe Miho Source: Second generation Hiragana Keyakizaka46 blog Post date: 2017/12/09 23:45
Nice to meet you everyone! I’m Watanabe Miho, a 2nd gen member of Hiragana Keyakizaka46. Please treat me well! I’m grateful to be able to write on the Hiragana Keyakizaka46 2nd gen blog! It’s done in a relay style where all nine of us take turns. And my turn has finally come! Since it's my first blog post, I'm very excited... Let me begin with a short self-introduction (´∇`) ・ Name … Watanabe Miho ・ Birthplace … Saitama prefecture ・ Birthdate … February 24th, 2000 (17 year old, in 3rd year of high school) ・ Favorite food … Bread, eggs, Japanese sweet potatoes, yogurt, lasagna, etc ・ Favorite color … White and black ・ Disliked things … Swimming (I'm a hopeless case lol) People often make a mistake when writing my last name. Instead of writing it as 「渡邊」, they write it as 「渡邉」. So if you could take this occasion to remember the correct writing, that would make me happy! I think there are people who noticed it but... I have the exact same birth year and birthdate as Yonetani Nanami-san!! I'm so happy~! ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ❁❁❁ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Approximately four months have passed since I succeeded at the auditions in August. I have had numerous precious experiences since then. I'm still a fledgling newbie, but I'm giving it my best to become an existence that will be beneficial to the group! I usually have a few screws loose in my head, so when I'm with the 2nd gen members, I'm doing ridiculous stuff all of the time (lol) But I want to become someone who can get things done, when it's time to get serious. Within the 2nd gen members, I'm among the older ones, so I'd like to be able to support everyone ( ¨̮ ) I feel like my goal is still far off, but I'm slowly and steadily putting in the effort. I'll do my best to become someone with less faults. I'd be glad if you could warmly look over me, even with how I am (´˘`) And I'm getting a little into personal things but, I'm currently appearing alongside all of the 1st gen members on the drama 「Re:Mind」. To be honest, I was anxious at the beginning, since it was the first time I was doing everything. At first, I was full of negative thoughts and thinking "Will it be okay with me?"... ( .. ) "But, since I was chosen, I want to give it my best!" That's what I thought, so I did the filming while giving it my all. I was helped out a lot by the 1st gen members too. Even now, I'm still sometimes worried about whether I properly played my role... But I'm really glad that I was able to gain this precious experience. After doing this, I now feel like I'd like to try out acting some more. I'm thankful that I was given this chance to grow. Since the shooting for the drama has ended, I tell myself "I won't have the occasion to wear this uniform anymore~" (; ;) The staff involved in the drama were all so kind. I was happy there! Since it's currently still airing, I'd be thankful if you could watch the drama (*..) And I'm a little late, but... Thank you very much to all of the people that watched my SHOWROOM, when I was auditioning. I've always, always wanted to properly express my feelings of gratitude to you all! I'm sorry my thanks came so late (> The SHOWROOM judging is very nostalgic to me. I liked the nickname Kyoro-chan1 that I was given! Apparently, the clothes and track suit that I wore made me look like him. I remember being made fun of (lol) It was so much fun~ (ˊ꒳ˋ)ᐝ Every single word that all of you wrote became my strength. I was also so happy to receive all of your words of encouragement. I was always grinning while reading them (lol) I also read all of the comments I received after passing the auditions~! They made me so happy. They properly got through to me. I'll have to give even more effort, in order to properly return the favor to all those who supported me! ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ❁❁❁ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ I'd like to talk about the 2nd gen members from now on! (lol) All 9 of us within the 2nd gen members get along very well!! I really love everyone, and I feel at ease when I'm with them~! Since our group is full of girls who are younger than me, they are like little sisters to me, and I think they're all so cute (◦ ˘ ˉ◦) ↑ This is everyone from the food family. j/k (lol) From the left, it's Nao (Kosaka Nao), Konoka (Matsuda Konoka) and myself! Both of them come from the Kansai region, so they're dialect is too cute! They always sooth me ~☀︎*.。 From now on, I'd like to post lots more pictures and stories that I had with other members (o´艸`) Please look forward to this! I'm sorry all of this ended up being kind of disjointed (-。-; There are too many topics I'd like to talk about, so my sentences ended up being long (lol) With the next post, it'll be the start of the second round of blogs! It'll be Miku who is also from Saitama prefecture like me! During the second phase of the audition judging, I was in the same venue with Miku. I remember being shook by how she was too cute (lol) Everyone, it's sushi or nothing with Miku!!!! Well then, I'll excuse myself here ( *ˊᵕˋ)ノ I'd be happy if you would read my next blog post. Thank you very much for tagging along with me until the end! Bye bye Miho

Revolutionary Girl Utena Episode 4 Liveblog
Join us this week for discussions of time, projecting fantasies onto others, non-diegetic inserts, and “I didn’t realize this was going to be a hentai”
This episode starts with a flashforward structure, rather than a flashback to the fairytale. This is also our first two-part episode, which is something I might come back to later in the series -- every one of the Student Council gets a two-part duel at some point, most of which are in the third arc (Saionji becomes a prop for Wakaba’s story in the BRS), but Miki gets his in the very beginning. (I’m not sure what to do with Touga here, since he arguably gets two multi-part episodes, one in the first arc and one in the last arc.)
Regardless, opening with letting us know that Utena will have to face Miki in the Dueling Arena is a unique choice here. No other characters get that kind of flashforward. I think that this happens for a few reasons. The kind of obvious, teaching you how to watch the show reason is that this is our first duel with someone other than Saionji, and we are being told by the series both that the characters aren’t what they seem at first glance (sweet, gentle Miki is shown to be possessive and antagonistic) and that we should, all along, not be taking these characters at face value. Having Miki challenge Utena to a duel without the flashforward would create a greater element of surprise, but surprise is not the motivating factor here -- rather, the show is telling us to look for clues as to how these characters are functioning. (I think that it also creates even more tension to know from the start of these two episodes that Miki will challenge Utena to a duel, since you are then anticipating what events could possibly lead up to it.)
The other, less surface-level answer is that Miki, of all the Duelists (well, all the ‘main’ Duelists, not counting Mikage), has the closest and strangest relationship with time. We’ve already witnessed this with his use of the stopwatch. He’s also the character who is most out of sorts with time in his story arc -- Juri has ties to the past, but it’s mostly causing her pain in the present, Saionji has ties to the past and is seeking eternity but is still doing so in the present, Nanami and Touga have some ties to time and the past but it isn’t a major structuring force for either of their characters (I would say they’re both more future-oriented than anything, but not strongly so). Miki, by contrast, is constantly seeking to recapture a lost past that he never really /truly/ had access to. All he has is his memory, tainted heavily with nostalgia, of a childhood he never really got to live or enjoy because he’s a prodigy, and his creepy af fantasies of returning to a sense of oneness with his twin. His entire motivation is about reliving and trying (in vain) to access an idealized version of the past, while he both resists and struggles to fit normatively into the adulthood he is moving towards. It would make sense for these reasons to have the opening of his first set of focus episodes place both him and the audience out of sorts with time by using this flashforward structure (and the later ambiguous transition that makes the flashforward seem almost like a memory).
I would like to take a moment to also appreciate Juri taking the place of Touga as the person dramatically watching from the sidelines. Where even is that location? How many stairs are there to get up there?
We move directly into the next scene with little in the way of fanfare -- there’s a bit of a dissolve, but the music continues, so it seems like a subjective view or memory of Miki’s, which gives some ambiguity to when the scene with Nanami takes place. Is it after the duel and Miki is just moping around after losing, or does it take place before? It takes place before (as later plot developments show, but looking at it closer, it’s left pretty ambiguous in terms of cinematic structure, if not in terms of narrative.
Miki is also a dramatic edgelord in this scene and I feel like he’s always seen as so soft and sweet and innocent that people forget this side of him. He’s just as extra as the rest of the Duelists.
This is a pretty ambiguous line -- we’re led to think that “she” is Anthy, since Nanami finds Anthy’s photo right after this line is spoken, but it could just as easily be Kozue. Of course, we don’t know that Kozue exists yet on a first watch, so the ambiguity only works on subsequent viewings. But since Anthy becomes a Kozue stand-in for Miki, I feel like this comparison works.
Anthy slap count: 4 (drink another shot!)
Miki timed the exact moment when he needs to go rescue Anthy from the Mean Girls Brigade with his stopwatch. Oh my god. How extra can you be.
I haven’t gone through and tested this theory, but I feel like Miki episodes are far more likely to get non-diegetic inserts like this one. It’s meant to punctuate the scene (marking in this case Miki blushing when anthy thanks him for saving her), and I’m wondering why these tend to show up the most in his episodes. Does he have the most tenuous grip on the diegetic world of the show (see also: the stopwatch)? Is there something about Miki’s character on a diegetic level that would make sense for there to be a lot of non-diegetic inserts (such as his living in a fantasy world moreso than the other characters, despite all of them having to face ‘reality’ in some way or another, even if that ‘reality’ is the construct of the narrative)? Regardless, these moments really point to the ways in which the narrative structures here start to break down.
We interrupt your scheduled liveblogging to present Juri dramatically walking down the stairs in the coolest library your school will never have. (I believe the library set makes a reappearance in the BRS, but is largely underutilized.)
We also bring you
Juri’s utter confusion at Miki talking about happiness, and quickly changing the topic. “Happiness? what’s that?”
Though, this scene shows part of what Miki’s problem is -- instead of focusing on what he can do to better himself and create his own happiness, he places all of that happiness on the idealized figure of another person. I can’t decide if this is a typically feminine trait or if he’s doing it in the typically masculine (after all, the Manic Pixie Dream Girl exists as a trope) way.
Another scene of Utena being shocked by someone having the ring...how has she not learned yet that the people with the weird outfits are part of the Student Council? Is it really that much of a shock?
While Anthy is, by now, used to being the site of projected fantasies by others, this particular projection is one that puzzles me more the more I think about it. Up to this point, we’ve pretty much only seen Anthy in Rose Bride persona -- meek, submissive, ultra feminine -- and we haven’t seen her ‘witch’ persona yet (at least, nothing more than the tiniest of hints of it). We haven’t seen Kozue at all, and I feel like her reveal is meant to be a bit of a shock that contrasts to Anthy (or the Anthy we see here), but even so, Kozue must be the site of even more projection by Miki, since she is brash and revels in being the ‘bad girl’ and is about as far from this side of Anthy as you can get. What is it about Anthy, then, or at least the side of her we see here, that reminds Miki of Kozue, besides his own highly rose-tinted memories of her?
Then again, they may be more similar upon a rewatch than we see at first glance.
I think that the way that Miki talks about the mysterious “girl he knows” is meant to make her seem distant, like he no longer knows her, or like she died, or something along those lines, but she’s still very much in his life. Hell, they still live together. Here it’s more of a metaphorical distance than a physical or temporal one. It’s also building up the slow reveal of Kozue, and an opportunity for Miki to be even more dramatic. ;]
How much do you want to bet that Anthy failed her test on purpose as an excuse to push Miki into dueling?
The scenes where Miki is playing piano seem to corroborate the issues with the sense of time that his episodes have. I’d post a gif if I could, but his movements aren’t fluid here -- he pauses in one area and then it fades to the next pose -- creating a sense of being out of joint with time. (I think part of this is to save on animation costs -- fewer inbetweens when they have a more complicated lighting scheme -- but it still holds)
And we all know that music is an inherently temporal medium.
Also, Touga showed up out of literally nowhere just now.
These shots move between diegetic (subjective viewpoint, or a memory) and non-diegetic, it seems. They seem to be non-diegetic inserts during the duel itself, but here, it seems to be a memory.
Note the way that it is drawn to look like a photo in an album or illustration in a children’s book. This isn’t a “real” memory, but rather an ideal.
The butterflies even float on top of the picture, leaving drop shadows, further cementing this as subjective, not objective.
I don’t have too much to say about the Shadow Girls play this time, though it is operating on two levels: one is the surface level of warning you that the girl you seek may not be what she seems (both Anthy and Kozue in this case), and the other is the level of “wow B-ko’s first love was kind of an asshole if he left her over things as trivial as liking pro wrestling,” which is to say, it’s also an indictment of people like Miki who project their fantasies of what a ‘proper’ girl should be onto their love objects.
I don’t have much to say about the “Operation: Himemiya Anthy is a weirdo who keeps a [weird animal] in her [domestic space]” segment (though I do thoroughly enjoy it), aside from noting that it speaks to this sense of projection -- not only is Miki so enamored with Anthy that he thinks it’s cute that she has a pencil tin full of snails, but Nanami is wanting to project her own weirdness onto Anthy for the sake of the others. Nanami is the one walking around with a live octopus in her bag, but she’s not the weirdo -- Anthy is.
Nanami really does have the best magical thinking of any of the characters, though. It’s exactly like a 13 year old to /keep trying these things/ even though it’s obvious that it’s not going to work, and even if it wasn’t obvious from the start, it should have been after the first failed attempt.
I do enjoy the snail getting a spinning rose frame, though.
I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going.
I’m not sure I understand the moment with the elephant flipbook. She starts laughing uncontrollably while playing with it, and Utena tells her to be serious. Is she actually laughing at the pranks she just played on Nanami and can’t control herself? Is she actually enjoying herself with the flipbook? Is it (along with the animals and the shaved ice) meant to show her as childish? Is it foreshadowing for the elephants that will arrive in a few episodes?
Nanami’s outburst here is interesting for a few reasons, as well. She seems to be concerned with the fact that while Anthy seems to be the image of the ‘proper’ feminine love object for many people, she’s actually rather improper, as we have seen all episode. While this is at least partially a policing of other women’s femininity, it can also be seen an Nanami starting to see through Anthy’s facade and the facade of the entire dueling game, whether she realizes it or not, long before she simply rejects the system altogether.
And we conclude with explicitly pointing to the ‘sunlit garden’ as a site of fantasy, not of real memory, as shown by substituting Anthy into the memories/photographs.
Join us next week for the thrilling conclusion! Will Miki duel Utena? Will he win Anthy’s hand? Will he ever regain his ‘shining thing’? Is Kozue one of the best characters in this show?
As always, if you have comments or want to discuss anything in more depth, please do so.

Subtitle News from Nozomi:
So there’s been a lot of discussion and back and forth, and I wanted to let y’all know about a couple of the decisions that have been made.
First up, Miss is gone. They were in complete agreement that Miss was not an adequate way of illustrating the -sama. Of the options we had, they chose to go with Mistress, partly because this also has to cover Nanami’s relationship with her henchgirls, and partly because no one wants to see Anthy calling Saionji and Touga “Lord” (except me and Gio, because it would be hilarious, but... that’s not what we’re going for). Consistency is key, otherwise we end up with situations like the Mickey thing where because we didn’t trust the translation we didn’t realize it was there for a reason. Yes, the fangirls will call her Mistress as well, which is kind of strange, but there’s a whole chunk of dialogue that doesn’t make any sense if they don’t (”But it’s not a joke when you say it!”), so let’s just be glad that now when Anthy calls her “Miss Utena” instead of Mistress in ep11/12, that makes sense and has meaning instead of being lost.
I’ve mentioned these already, but for anyone who didn’t see them, “Jury” is definitely being changed to Juri, and Little Utena’s line is now included in the opening fairy tale-- which I should remind you isn’t the flowery translation from UTP, but a little more straightforward one, so the line isn’t the one that was suggested here, but it IS in keeping with the current translation of the whole thing and isn’t just little Utena getting told what’s what by the Prince.
Hard subs will not be a thing anymore. Quoting here, because honestly any explanation I give will be less clear, “By default, the options are: English (stereo) with On-screen Text, Japanese (stereo) with Eng. Subtitles, and Japanese (5.1) with Eng. Subtitles. Subtitles can be changed/turned off completely by accessing the Blu-ray player's subtitle settings with the remote. Additionally, just like the DVDs, the dueling themes will be translated on the Japanese language track, but on the English track, the dueling themes include both the translation as well as the romaji. If someone wishes to watch the duels in the original Japanese audio, you can switch the subtitle stream with the remote and enable them.“
Now here are a few confirmations of what’s already there:
Little Utena is and will remain “spirited away,” as it is the only translation that has the supernatural element present in it, and, trivia time, is actually a figure of speech in English, although a little archaic.
Juri’s memory of Shiori’s words will remain as-is. They went back and took a look at the translation for “kiseki wo shinjite, omoi wa todoku to”, and that line is very specifically about someone finding out or knowing your feelings. So changing it to dreams or something less on-the-nose doesn’t make sense; in Japanese, it’s very explicit.
Touga will remain both chivalrous and an ally, as those are the best translations for the words he uses, and thus will continue to be the utter trash fire we all know and love. Hate. Love. Whatever.
Some of the changes we suggest have also been followed, but I’m not going to say which ones right now because I prefer to get specific permission rather than just taking anything for blanket approval. This ain’t my gig, guys, and I don’t want to flap my mouth too many times for the line ifyaknowhatimean. But please rest assured that everything we’ve brought up has been running people off their feet to check things and figure out whether it’s possible, whether it’s doable, whether it’s accurate, whether it fits, and all the rest. Every decision that’s being made is being made for very specific reasons-- thank goodness! Compared to the CPM release and the (amazing, incredible, stunning, and not in a good way) Ursula’s Kiss thing, this is like heaven.
So I’ll ask about the other changes, and go from there. In a day or two, probably Friday, I’ll be asking for issues with the BRS, and then after that I’m going to give myself a week or so to collect them up, then another week or so to get answers from you all. I’ve been told that fits in with the timeline. It’s going to make me an awful pest with this stuff, I hope you know that!
And, figure it’s worth mentioning here, Gio and I will be livetweeting at roughly 9pm CST tonight starting with ep23 and continuing at least until ep25 and you all probably know by now that the presence of Akio, Touga, and Saionji guarantees that this will be an ungodly shitfest. As usual, this will not be work safe and will refer to any and all of the awful shit present in the show, so be prepared for that.
All right, everyone, thanks again for your help! <3
