I definitely need to get the Champion’s Tunic as fast as possible, already planning my route to Hateno, and after that I think my first major expedition is going to be Korok Forest. Equipment is going to carry me here, and up there is not only the Master Sword there’s Hestu. Who is arguably more important, because more inventory means I can hold more equipment, so I’m not just running out every ten minutes. Also, I better turn the Sheikah Sensor back on. Shrines are going to be Very Important.
Also- keep an eye out for Fairy Fountains.
Also I’m currently trying to hunt up the White Horse. That’s what I’m working on rn actually. I need that horse for Hateno.
[Video ID: Breath of the wild clip, me playing as Link gallop across a bridge on horseback, I dismount as I notice some monsters on a little outcropping of land to the side of the bridge, I climb up onto the wall of the bridge only for an NPC, Brigo, to yell that I shouldn’t be rash. I tap through the rest of the text without reading it before drawing a fire arrow towards the monsters.]
btw i'm sure this is nothing new on account of it having been well over 6 months by now since totk released and we had the no dlc bomb dropped. but i wasnt posting back then so idc ^_^
anyway the funniest thing about totk is no kass 100%. like. what happened to him. they dont even mention him by NAME and the only time hes ever even really mentioned is penn talking about him like this distant legendary figure and not like some guy who was playing his accordion in the woods. i hope amali divorced him
people are apparently pissing their pants with anger upon hearing that nintendo doesn't have any plans for TotK DLC (heaven forbid anyone just release a finished, complete game in 2023 and not perpetually add content to it) but as far as i'm concerned that just means i no longer have any reason to wait to do a second playthrough and i'm pretty happy about that
One of my favorite things to do in open world games is explore blindly and off the beaten path. Its kind of a hassle at first, forcing myself to not use the map and to ignore main story beats, but its very rewarding once "the magic" kicks in. Last night I was exploring the Raintrance in FW. One of the oddities of HFW on PS5 is that the longer you play without shutting down the system (full shutdown, not rest mode), more audio bugs will crop up. Last night this manifested in ambient tracks playing during combat and rebel camp infiltration. Honestly I really enjoyed it because it didn't take me "out" of the world. Nature still grows and the Earth still spins even when we're being carved up by robot dinosaurs or assassinating militant anarchists. This was something I really loved about BotW too. Sometimes combat music just doesn't play, and that's a good thing!
ive been typing nonsense into a text box for 10 minutes straight but i cant put into words how much i simultaneously love and hate totk. it just wasn't what i wanted it to be. despite having some of the most fun gameplay ive ever experienced. hbd totk i wish you had dlc </3
