The Spartan had found Chrom in the woods away from the camp. He seemed to be kneeling. He approached thinking that Chrom was injured but S.T.A.R had analyzed that he was upset. So, Hunter kneeled down beside him to see what was wrong. The ground shook a little as the Spartan knelt due to combined weight of the armor and the man. Chrom seemed to be upset about Emmeryn's dream of a peaceful Ylisse not becoming a reality because of him.

"I understand your worries. The fear of failing those you love. I've had that fear ever since I adopted Rebecca. I even feared failing you when Rebecca married you. I failed Emmeryn when I couldn't protect her but I will not fail you nor will I let you fail her dreams. As long as you keep on the right track and never become a tyrant will her dreams be realized. And you'll have Rebecca and myself right there beside you to keep you on that track."

Sitting alone had became a fixed habit in him whenever he wanted to think of something pertaining him and his thoughts. Rebecca told him to break this habit but it is something he find himself doing unconsciously and honestly, she had fair share of responsibility to worry about him whining to himself. Though he had been altering his bad habits bit by bit thanks to her.

Today, he had another one of these moments, so he found a corner to think about what came to his mind. Working hard does not mean that he is going to achieve what his sister was trying to make. Still, it is the only way of doing things he knows of. 

Hearing Spartan comes over, Chrom fixed his posture and looked at him, with a smile on his face. He was not expecting that Spartan had caught up to what he was mulling over but then again, if anyone should know it would be him. “Hunter ... “ Chrom arched his head a little bit down in thought (and to hide his bashful smile.) God he is so blessed. He is so blessed there is no way he can ever think of a moment he will lose track of himself. It’s nearly impossible. Not with Hunter and Rebecca with him, and everyone.

“Thank you ..hearing this ..means a lot. I know I should not let my thoughts get the better of me but ..no, I will do my best. I have to do my best. Big sister entrusted this dream to me and I will see it through.”

I imagine at one point, they start going fishing to relax because everything they do together is so energetic; like sparring, hunting, etc. They need that zin moment lmao. (S.T.A.R. probably recommend this because guys chill down.)

Please let Chrom teach Hunter how to write poems! It helped Chrom express himself and let out whatever feelings he has into a paper. Poem writing sessions les gooo. 

Hunter took Chrom one time to a battle simulation and he was banned for going in, not because he broke something but he had a high record no one could beat it. chrom is still surprised he did well and hunter is so proud of him. A week later Hunter broke the record but no one knows because he wants Chrom to come again and try breaking it a second time. it became a silent challenge between them; which chrom does not know about lmao

Today, Chrom had some free time on his hand so he decided to use this time and enjoy it alongside his children. The kids were excited to play with their father. In fact, they even got their grandfather to play with them. The game they picked was ‘to save the king’ game. Lucina would be the knight in shining armor with her sidekick Spartan while Rebecca, Thomas, Maria and Chloe the evildoers who kidnapped the king--Chrom. He may have little role to play in this but hey, he didn’t say he will be an obedient victim. 

On every opportunity, Chrom caused Rebecca and the kids trouble as he tried to sneak away--wiggling on the ground if he had to until the kids had to sit on top of him to stop him from running away while Rebecca kept on the lookout for the knight and her sidekick.

In an epic battle between Lucina and Rebecca, spartan snuck in, if you consider walking normally to where chrom was being held down by the kids and grabbing them and sat them away so he can free chrom. “Hunter ...” chrom sighed, “At least make it a hard job to get them off me.” thomas ran back at hunter to stop him, followed by the two girls delivering cute punches at him.

“Oh no~ it looks like my rescue in danger~” and excuse Chrom to lay back on the ground and pretend to be still restrained. This is fun.
