Chrom had issues with his gun handling--his aim was always strange. Boss helped him correct his form. She knew he had so much pent up rage that he cannot seem to focus his aim because of his anger so she gave him a tip to let his anger go if he wanted to aim correctly. Being an expert herself, she taught him a thing or two about being calm while shooting because this depends on it his life and his police partners. 

Emmeryn !

She would challenge Chrom to finish a book every week and come back to her and give her a summery of the book when he finishes. She usually gave him fairy tales, stories of the first exalt, of marth, and other known heroes. Sometimes even topics he might not like to expand his knowledge and make sure he does not just consume one kind of books.

Juvelian !

The two met one time when a noble ran over a child and refused to stop and check on them. Chrom had already jumped in front of the carriage to stop it and Juvelian opened the door to see who is responsible for this. The two stopped for a good minute staring at each other, trying to remember where they have seen the other and it clicked who are they. Lady Floyen, the daughter of the duke, and Prince Chrom, of The Halidom of Ylisse. It probably spooked her off but seeing him so mad at what happened, the two worked on making the noble take responsibility for what happened. Cue for Geraldine and Frederick appear and have a heart attack because of these two lmao.

Honestly, he does not recall showing up to Boss’ house but when he opened his eyes, he saw her peering at him to check on his wounds. It surprised him to no end seeing her first when he was so determined to hide his little mishap from being known. Damn it! He must have...went to her house unconsciously (since he knows it is a safe place.)

“What happened?”

Her words rolled out of her mouth cold and deadly--he could feel that she is about to press on one of his wounds to get out a confession out of him if she needed. This is how it feels being with her in the interrogation room? God it is scary ...

Chrom pursed his lips, not uttering a word because as soon as he opens his mouth, she’ll have her way to get him yapping in no time. He thought she would use more ...well, force to get him to talk but she is still warming up ... 

“ ... It’s ... I’ll tell you later ... not now. But please, keep quiet on this--don’t tell big sister ... please, Shizue-ne ...”

If Boss is praising him then she is trying to get him to work over time or something else...like her coffee machine broken again and he has to go and send it to fixing, perhaps. or Date-san is bothering her and the only way to sho him away is sending him, the scapegoat, to be tortured by him instead. Ah...so many reasons to why he can’t trust her words. But then again, he wants her to trust him so ... “Boss. What do you want?”

It was moments like this that makes Chrom speechless--when Boss is somehow, honest about her feelings. She usually treats him like a brat, a kid that still needs supervision. Since he joined ABIS he knew Boss was withholding information about his parents death and she is keeping him occupied with the work here to give him time to investigate the case 15 years ago. He understands why she is doing this but it does not give her the right to push him away from finding the truth.

“ . . . It feels sometimes when you feel like it ...” he muttered under his breath. Though he followed it up with a sigh, crossing his arms against his chest. “ ... Yeah...thank you ...Shizue-neesa.”
