As planned, got to start the painting/coloring my new doll today.

Nothing very exciting to most people yet. I haven’t done much with facial features yet, just coloring skin texture and undertones. Still, I’m super pleased with how it’s coming out so far. Looks flesh-ish.

Haven’t had a chance to check on how the video where I talk about the process and the character is going, yet, but hopefully it’s good.

In 2004 I obsessively saved all these pictures of BJDs. I have no idea where they're from, or honestly what sculpts they even are? Although I would assume a bunch of them are Volks SD because I think that was mostly your only option back then. BJDs in that era were the driving force behind me getting into Lolita fashion. First I wore bad Hot Topic/thrifted stuff, then I hyper focused on getting dolls and dressing them up, then I learned that brand wasn't as small as I thought it was and I could just buy "authentic" Lolita dresses for myself.

They have a small production run from what I understand so it's hard to find info on them but supposedly you can sometimes find a used one on Ebay.

And he's painted! I got a little impatient and strung him anyway >> not sure how well the sueding will hold up but overall he looks great! Magnet for his tail will be here tomorrow and I have a friend I've commissioned for his robes.

I'll have a Lambert to go with him, too, but I'm still waiting on the modded Sheepy head.
