Just got back from my birthday trip a few hours ago 🥰

Here's a recap:

- The drive was really chill- less than two hours and not much traffic.

- Our hotel was great. Perfect location in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go.

- Albany is a cool, strange city. I think we were in a historical district. We were right near the state capital building, the Empire Plaza, and a bunch of really cool old buildings (like churches with gargoyles!)

- For how large the buildings were, and how big the city seemed, it was... so quiet and empty??? There was hardly any people anywhere. There's almost no people in any of my photos 😂 it was kind've eerie but I honestly liked it.

- I didn't expect so many hills? It was so hilly... like a little San Francisco or something (I've never been to San Francisco, don't quote me on that)

- The concert venue was so cool! But we did have a hard time finding the right entrance. (It was called Empire Underground but I didn't realize it was literally kind've underground lol.. like under a building or a tunnel or something.)

- Once we found it, everything went great! The venue was so, so tiny. We saw Colorblinds, Wind Walkers, and Caskets- all amazing live and sounded just like the recordings. There were no bad spots to stand really. The place was so small that you could see the stage well no matter where you were.

- Another odd thing was that this morning we were searching for coffee shops, and there were tons of them nearby, but most of them were closed Sundays and Mondays? Idk, I just found that really strange. Also not a single convenience store in the area we were in. Didn't see one the entire time we were there. But we eventually found the most perfect coffee shop that was such a vibe with beautiful plants everywhere. 🥰🪴

as every year I’d like to spend this day visiting magical places with my fam…this year we anticipated our family trip one day, so, yesterday, we have a really great time in the nature! walking in an enchanted woods, surrounded by beautiful plans and flowers…and eating some yummy foods! 🌞✨

Omfggggg I remember when your bday trip to Costa Rica happened I felt soooo bad for you!!! I totally forgot about that and your post just reminded me of when that happened lol….u are stronger than I am that’s for sure lmfao
