TREASURE HELLO TOUR LIVE IN MANILA DAY 2 [04152023]

South Korean boy group TREASURE just held a 2-days concert plus a fan signing event here in the Philippines last April 13 to April 15.

I am one of the Filipino treasure makers (teume - fanclub name) who are blessed to witness these 10 boys performed live on big stage for their first ever Asia Tour.

And as a big fan I can't help it but to volunteer for the fan projects, been doing this volunteer thing ever since Super Junior by the way, so this is not new to me. Being a volunteer is tiring for sure but there's a fulfillment and happiness after it. I was appointed to distribute banners on queue and pink stickers for Upper Box ticker holders on section 417. The stickers are for rainbow ocean fan project before encore performance.

Concert haven't started yet but I'm already sweating and my arms and legs hurts from too much walking.

After waiting for hours TREASURE finally enter the stage and performed their first song for the night and it's JIKJIN. I was in Upper Box so my view isn't the best view. But hearing them live is more than enough.

They performed old songs such as Slow Motion and Orange their best ballad songs, Boy their debut song, and Going Crazy their pre-debut song.

Hyping the fans more with their cover of their labelmates songs like Bang Bang Bang by Bigbang and Rhythm Ta by iKON. TREASURE members especially their leader Hyunsuk was in awe that Filipino fans can sing along to these songs loudly.

One of the memorable segment was when the members were trying to deliver their tagalog pickup lines to fans. Junkyu's line was "Teume there's something in your face, cute maganda at sexy" it's cringe but boy it's Kim Junkyu so I won't complain 🤣

Before encore the boys stood in the middle to take group photos together with fans. 💙

After that they performed their last song MY TREASURE. And after that song was our cue to start the Rainbow ocean light project. The whole arena shine in different colors as fans open their phone flashlights while singing the bridge of TREASURE's Everyday.

IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT because the happiness was shown on their faces. And we got two additional encores after that which was not part of the original plan. TREASURE ended up cancelling their flight back home to extend their time with us Filipino fans.

It was hard to say goodbye to these lovely boy. Definitely one of the best concert I've been to, not being biased, their live performance was superb, their fan service was heart warming, their appreciation towards their fans is genuine. I will never regret supporting and loving these boys. 💙

I will figure out how I can make my videos a short vlog. As you can see my section is not the spot. But I'll try.

VIP Diaries: (Meeting Seungri!!!) The Great Seungri Show in Manila 2019

Hello 안녕 안녕 shimmers and VIPs! Wow, I’ve been wanting to publish this post for a while now because this experience I had during The Great Seungri Show in Manila is a FIRST in my whole life as a BIGBANG VIP! I met Seungri and I got the sweet sweet chance to be in a photo with him. Not a standee, not a poster but the real Seungri!! Gurlll, I could go on and on about this but let me compose myself for a bit and talk about The Great Seungri Tour which happened in MOA Arena last January 19, 2019.

So, if you know me or if you’ve been following my SNS and happened to see one of my posts from last year, you’d know how much I loathe this area. I swore I won’t even go anywhere near Mall of Asia after the trauma I had from this horrible incident. And after that, I never attended any sort of event if it’s held around this area.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME back here in months. Only BIGBANG can bring me back! The bitter memories are now replaced, thanks my Panda Seungri!!

This VIP concert experience is made possible by K-Music Insider! I’m beyond grateful for this chance because the truth is, my budget didn’t allow me to shed 10k upfront that time for the VIP seats and photo-op opportunity. I would’ve settled for a cheaper lower box ticket but I still made sure I hop into giveaways with the goal of getting a photo-op pass in mind. And dear heavens K-Music Insider blessed me with one! 넘너무 행복해 ㅠㅠ

Gates opened at 7pm and I entered the venue at around 7:15. There weren’t crazy lines so I just went straight to the entrance. There weren’t any chaos (thank goodness) and I know it’s a good thing, but I’m kinda sad too because we weren’t able to fill the entire arena. The show was announced late so many VIPs weren’t able to prepare them fundsss (including me haha)

BUT when the show started, it didn’t feel like the arena isn’t full! It was a whole new party out there!! Just exactly as how I expect a BIGBANG concert should be. I mean, Seungri is a total charmer and I’m sure all VIPs know that he’s the best at sweeping the crowd off their feet compared to the rest of the members. Seungri has been my bias wrecker since 2012! Oh well, but yo gurl is tough and my heart for G-Dragon won’t be swayed by anything!!!! \\(^^,)//

Here are some fancams I managed to take. I know, I wasn’t able to take that much because I really want to savor the moment. Also, this is my first time to attend a concert without my sister or cousin (huhuhuhu) so I don’t have someone to take turns with recording. But then again, all throughout my life as a K-Pop fangirl, I have learned how important it is to really get into the moment instead of recording each and every part of the show. I’m so proud of Seungri! This is his first ever solo world tour and I can see that he did so well in pleasing and wowing the crowd despite the absence of his hyungs. 

Did you watch the whole video? BOYYY I CHOKED WHEN HE SLAYED THAT TAGALOG SONG!! I swear that song by Inigo Pascual annoyed me for a while because I hear it everywhere. But gurllll, who would’ve thought that I’d learn how to love it. I’ve been singing it subconsciously right after the concert. I mean, I’m gonna be honest, he sounded more native than Sandara and Ryan Bang (he showed up briefly on stage too along with Anne Curtis) LOL

Dara was also a guest for Seungri’s show. Well, Sandara has always been a steady guest whenever BIGBANG would show up here for a tour! That’s OG YG Family for you, children! The 2NE1 songs she performed were immensely nostalgic. How can my eyes well up over happy songs? I’m still hoping for a 2NE1 reunion to fulfill my empty Blackjack heart! :(

Seungri has always been the life of the party and he’s so good at being in variety shows! That’s what he served us during his concert. For a short moment we all thought we mistakenly entered a comedy bar, not a concert LOL Seungri made my stomach burst out of laughter the entire night. He’s just GOLD! He even savaged his fellow BIGBANG members in front of us. haha! Ang lakas ng loob kasi everyone’s in the military haha

Seungri showed us funny photos of every BIGBANG member for him to roast... EXCEPT for T.O.P... So naturally, us VIPs will ask and look for him. When he wrapped the photos up without including TOP, all of us went “Where’s TOP?!!!” I honestly thought he’ll just brush it off, considering all the crazy controversy surrounding TOP, I won’t be surprised if he’ll just ignore us. But Seungri didn’t. He heard us and he gave us a very reassuring answer.

VIPS: “TOP!!! TOP!!! Where’s TOP?”

SEUNGRI: “Ah, TOP? He’s fine! I just wanna say he’s okay.”

ME: Wooooh!!! OMG OMG *hyperventilating*

SEUNGRI: “He’s super okay. Yeah. He will come back soon, don’t worry!”

VIPs: *crying and going wild*

SEUNGRI: “You know what, now in BIGBANG, TOP is MOST OKAY! hahaha We are all okay..”

The entire show lasted for around 3 hours, I think. Seungri gave us major K-Pop throwback as he also sang a lot of his great hits from his early solo career (Strong Baby, Gotta Talk to U, GG BE..), as well as BIGBANG’s! It was an amazing show full of nostalgia.

We, along with the ladies of 2NE1 PH, as well as other VIP friends lined up for the photo-op right after the concert. Each photo with Seungri will be done by 10s and we’re fortunate enough to be the last ones in line so there were just 8 of us.

I mean, let that sink in for a short moment. Gurl, MY EXISTENCE GOT PULVERIZED! I wasn’t sure of what was happening and if it really was happening at all. For the first time in my 10-year VIP fangirl life, I was able to see and interact with a BIGBANG member. INSANE!

As I was walking towards Seungri, my mind went blank. I just stretched my hand for him to shake and I told him that he did great on stage. OH DEAR I remember him just looking back at me, smiling and thanking me for coming to his show. I’m in a trance! And because I went straight to him and approached him first, I totally forgot everything I initially planned. I have my phone in hand to secretly record everything just for my personal memento but totally forgot!! Also planning to stand beside him (I was 2nd in line so I could’ve done that) but chose to just talk to him first so by the time I was done talking, everyone got settled already while I’m still lost in front of him! Also planned to stand on his right side because that’s my freakin’ angle but totally forgot!!! HAHAHAHA Basically, my mind stopped functioning LOL but I’m so happy I got to interact with the King of all Maknaes, SEUNGRI. Everything happened so fast and when we were asked to leave, I made sure I told him I love him! HAHA He’s probably tired of hearing that from everybody but at least I let it out my chest. ^^

Say hello to my very nervous smile!!!! HAHAHA My heart was about to pop out of my mouth! SEUNGRI is just super handsome and I’m not just saying this because I’m a fan. Like he’s legit handsome and his smile is so dreamy. He’s just genuinely friendly and there’s this warmth from him that makes you forget he’s a star. I guess I’m used to seeing K-Pop stars being cold in real life, but definitely not Seungri! 

Ah, seeing him so close is definitely one for the books! Ah also, I would like to thank my Moonshot x Innisfree combo for keeping my foundation on point despite going crazy the entire night. hihihi~~ (I will review these two soon, promise!)

I’m beyond happy to see Seungri’s last show before he enlists. Their OT5 comeback may take a while because of their military schedule and all these sad controversies that still stir everything up unnecessarily! But hey, we’re all waiting at the Flower Road (꽃길) so I can only hope that the kings stay healthy and happy. 

My next goal is to see all BIGBANG members in their Final world tour in Seoul - 2020, 2021, who knows! Really hoping to have the same amazing opportunity like this to meet all of them next time. IT WILL HAPPEN I CAN FEEL IT! <3

pls don't read that stupid article and give the writer any more clicks but she wrote "in 2017, the same year shinee's jonghyun committed suicide, bts had a partnership with unicef" or it was something like that and it's just so fucking crazy and disgusting how a self proclaimed "serious reporter" would mention someone death just to uplift bts...it's beyond fucked up and she also said that bigbang's TOP had a drugs scandal (it was a weed scandal but she tried to make it seem worse) and she gave credit to armys for their political involvement during the philippines elections and some filipinos got rightfully upset because of that because she completely disregarded the protest natives have been doing for days and acted like armys where the only people who cared about the issue. and when she got backlash on twitter she started complaining about kpop fans as if armys weren't sending death threats and racist messages to other kpop journalists weeks ago. it makes me livid how some people have no empathy or morals whatsoever.

(also it's so ironic how she's disrespecting jonghyun in an article praising bts when that man used to be one of the most politically active idols and to this day i haven't seen anyone who is as outspoken as he was he single-handedly had a law changed in korea because he talked about it on twitter and he showed support to palestine and had people make petitions wanting him to get kicked out of his group for being an lgbt ally but sure keep running your mouth and ignoring all his achievements just to feed your false narrative about bts paving the way for everything in this industry)

Looking back almost 2 years ago, many unexpected changes have entered my life of course, but the way I wrote this before made me smile and remember how life was a bit easier with fewer responsibilities😔

Doubt. Hate. These are the things they received when they were just starting. But P-POP groups continue to break the barrier of PH music to the world.

       People all over the world are crazy about KPOP. Except for it is really upbeat and fun—many people attribute it partly to Sandara Park of 2NE1’s popularity. Her fame intensified the Hallyu/Korean wave in the Philippines. Groups such as Super Junior, BIGBANG, EXO are extremely famous and continued to the third-generation groups up to the present. BTS, EXO, TWICE, BLACKPINK, among others, are a craze nowadays.

       As these Korean groups are garnering millions of followers and views on social media and music platforms, one Filipino group practice video went viral overnight in 2019, gaining over a million views and shared in multiple social networking sites. With their amazing choreography and vocals, they easily caught the attention of individuals on different online platforms. The group is called SB19.

       This group was trained under the Korean training system. ShowBT is a Korean company, but the boys trained in the Philippines. According to them, they were trained not to imitate KPOP, rather they had the intensive training that Korean idols get, but their music is solely Filipino and their purpose is to promote it to a wider audience. Filipinos are known to be great singers and are vocally superior.

       Since the blew-up of SB19, this paved the way for more different groups in the Philippines. These are ALAMAT, BGYO, BINI, etc. Just like KPOP, the groups here in the Philippines don’t just easily make their debut. They would also engage in intense training, such as vocal, synchronization of their group dancing. But not all Filipinos support them. Many are skeptical about them, even saying they are poor KPOP copycats despite the Tagalog lyrics. SB19 are aware of it, but they said they won’t stop until the Filipinos would know and like their music and promised to always give better performances better than yesterday.

         Despite the doubts, some other groups have emerged. BGYO was formed by ABS-CBN Star Hunt Academy alongside with BINI. They made their debut song ‘The Light’ which was released on January and they are the fifth Filipino artist to appear on the weekly Billboard Next Big Sound chart. BGYO fittingly stands for "Be The Change, Go Further, You And I, Originally Filipino" and aims to represent their mission to empower and motivate the youth worldwide. While ALAMAT currently holds the distinction of being the second P-pop group to make it on Billboard chart and the fastest-rising Pinoy act on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart, debuting at #2

         The whole idea of forming PPOP groups is to introduce more the music scene of the Philippines, and to penetrate internationally. With SB19 being the first Filipino and southeast Asian act to be nominated in Billboard Music Awards. They are indeed starting to penetrate their music internationally. A prophecy, it is only a matter of time we will see them perform in spectacular musical awards show such as the Grammys, MTV Music Awards, even winning an award. What will definitely be the most colossal outcome of SB19’s musical domination: hearing other nationalities singing in Filipino.

          SB19 definitely paved the way for P-POP. Hopefully the local talents and music will be known wider and farther around the globe. SB19 has gained a lot of foreign supporters, as manifested by foreign online content creators and vloggers reacting to their videos. They have impressed local and international spectators with their vocal powers, dancing skills and humble personalities. Local music has gained momentum and may it last long.

I’m supposed to share this on X but decided to put this here instead.

When I got into K-pop back in 2007-2008, Bigbang was the first and only boy group I supported— their music is exactly the type of style I was looking for. Back then, there were no fan signs and fan concerts that we are used to know. The only way to see them is to attend a concert. The sad thing was, I was a broke college student when they held a concert in Manila. I believe it was in Mall of Asia Arena? They were already famous and their concerts were held in big venues. So I’m not sure if MOA Arena was their smallest venue.

So when they finished their military service, I was really hoping to see them perform live once again. But scandals and issues kept coming left and right, so a comeback never happened. Not until their last song Still Life— a farewell song I guess was released.

The whole point of this post is: now I get why EXO members choose small venues for their concerts and fan meets. I get it. It’s to be able to interact and see us— EXO-Ls in an intimate venue. To be honest, I wouldn’t want concerts held at Philippine Arena after experiencing one concert. That place may be big and be able to handle a big audience compared to Araneta Coliseum or MOA Arena, but it isn’t built with accessibility and comfort in mind. I would rather have a two or three day concert in Araneta Coliseum or MOA Arena than experience hell all over again in Philippine Arena.

Anyways, that was the point. I get it now, EXOs. Please continue holding your concerts and fan meets in the metro area.

[011219] For the love of ‘The Great Seungri’

BEFORE I even begin, let me make a disclaimer: This article is not at all meant to diminish the efforts of promoters Jinquan Entertainment and VISM, with Loong Studio and Fei Long Wang for local support, to bring The Seungri Show: The Great Seungri Tour 2019 in Manila to the Philippines. The goal is to bring to light the efforts of fans in making sure that more people get to watch the concert.

On December 28 Loong Studio formally announced that Seungri of the Korean group Bigbang was coming on January 19 with The Seungri Show: The Great Seungri Tour 2019 in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena. Ticketing started the following day.

A background for non-fans: Seungri is one-fifth of one of South Korea’s best-selling artists, Bigbang. Other members of the YG Entertainment group include the group’s leader, fashion icon G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P and Daesung. Seungri is the youngest in the group and while the four members are in the military, he has been heavily promoting in various ways, including this concert tour. Sources said the local fans had voiced concerns about there being a short lead time for fans to buy tickets, but Seungri himself wanted to come to Manila to meet his fans.

Bigbang fans, known collectively as VIPs, began mobilizing efforts to raise funds to provide tickets to those who can’t afford it at the moment.

“The event was initially deemed not feasible according to the local organizers, but the event pushed through just weeks leading to the December 28 announcement in consideration of the VIPs that Seungri wanted to meet across Asia as part of his 2019 tour expansion,” said a representative from Seungri’s fanbase GT2VI PH.

Projects related to the concert include encore banners, giveaways, VIP message boards and a donation drive for a Mall of Asia globe ad.

All of the efforts were heartwarming. Some VIPs “lent” money to strangers by paying for the tickets in advance. A lot of fans donated to the efforts of Seungri’s Philippine fanbase.

One account on Twitter bought tickets for fans, requiring just a 50-percent downpayment with the balance to be settled on or before February 15.

For a donation of at least P500 (or any amount actually), you could help toward the purchase of a ticket for a VIP or an ad on Facebook or Instagram. Most of the fan initiatives were on Twitter.

I know that many of my Twitter friends donated huge amounts of cash to the fund-raising initiatives just to make sure everything was OK, all for Bigbang and Seungri. I myself made a humble donation. Non-fans may wonder why we do this. Aside from Bigbang, it’s really about sisterhood. We have VIP sisters everywhere—from Croatia to India—and we’re bonded by a common love and respect for these five boys. It's always funny to me that Jiyong specifically gave a certain role to his members to be in their group outside of work. Like Bae would be the second leader to rein Ji in if he went overboard, Tabi could be the one to unofficially make the group smile and/or advise then and then Ji looked and Dae and he was like 'Ahh, good, this one can be the mom of the group and in charge of our baby, Tabi-hyung'.

Absolutely not. I can’t believe I had to read this message with my own two eyes, and I’m sorry to all my followers that have to read it too since this answer is public.

Tell me, when are people going to stop treating Seungri like a misbehaving child that has to be constantly looked after? At what point is he finally responsible for his own actions? When everything seemed to be going well, when he was on top of the world, it was all about him, his achievements, his determination to succeed, his sharp business sense. But now that he’s in trouble, the blame is shifted to someone else? And of all people, Jiyong?

Seungri was warned and cautioned by his bandmates relentlessly over the years – and that’s just what made it on camera and through the editing process. Imagine how much more was said offscreen, in private, conversations we’ll never see. Based on our very limited knowledge of the situation, I’d say the rest of BB more than did their part to correct his path, to make it clear they had their doubts about his interests and the company he kept. But it’s like what was said in that report by YGE after his departure back in March: Seungri was difficult to manage from the beginning. And people with strong, self-driven personalities like him are the type to forge their own path forward no matter what anyone has to say about it. There is only so much a person can do.

At 28 years old (25 years old in late 2015 - early 2016 when the Yuri Holdings and group chat stuff was happening), Seungri was and is a grown man and any sordid business or friendships he involves himself in is no one’s responsibility but his own. If there was evidence that he was pressured or coerced or deceived into associating with such shady figures and business practices, then you might have a case for some kind of leniency, but swinging the other direction and suggesting that the burden of his actions falls on someone else because they didn’t try hard enough to stop him? Even if Jiyong, Seunghyun, Youngbae, and Daesung hadn’t tried at all, his downfall still would not be their fault. Seungri is an intelligent, experienced, competent adult very much in charge of his own life decisions. This means that if he chooses to play with fire, without some kind of legal authority over him, no one has the power to stop him from running his own life into the ground but himself.

Neglectful? Over the past several years the others complained openly and endlessly about how Seungri rarely, if ever, spent time with them outside of band activities – and Jiyong in particular was the most vocal about this. Hell, remember the scolding over him not inviting the others to his birthday party in the Philippines? Really, does it get any clearer than that? He wanted him back. But Seungri wanted other things.

Trusted Seungri too much? Why is that a bad thing? Isn’t that what they’re supposed to do as friends and bandmates? I know we as a fandom have always enjoyed toying with the “mischievous maknae” persona, but this is taking it too far. He shouldn’t have had to be kept on a leash. They should have been able to trust him not just with himself but with BIGBANG too.

Seungri, jealous? Sounds like a personal problem to me. If Seungri succumbed to the green-eyed monster over Jiyong’s wealth and fame, that’s on him and him alone. I don’t understand why Jiyong should be faulted for not doing more to soothe the sting of Seungri’s perceived financial and celebrity shortcomings. Maybe they did talk about it, just between the two of them. Remember, we’re only scratching the surface here. Or maybe they didn’t because… awkward. How do you even go about addressing that? When someone you care about envies you for what you have? No, for what you are. Seungri was successful by anyone’s standards but his own. I don’t know what more Jiyong could have realistically done to make him see that.

This mindset right here is exactly the sort of BS I’m afraid OT4 are going to come back to as soon as they’re discharged and are active again. Let’s face it, Jiyong may not be at fault for Seungri’s personal failings, but he’s probably going to feel accountable for what’s happened anyway because of their friendship, his role as leader of BB, and the whole Korean hyung-dongsaeng dynamic. This is going to be hard enough for him and the others as it is. Please do not try to pin Seungri’s undoing on them when they’re going to have more than enough of their own problems to deal with in the coming days.
