On the last Saturday of August, I decided to drag one of my bestfriends Shai to BGC as early as 8 AM. Why too early? Well, I was invited to attend a 10-AM event and because we’re from the east side, it will take us two hours to drive there!

The event is Winnie Wong‘s channel, Penelope Pop‘s 2nd YouTube Anniversary and Havaianas is throwing her a ‘shopping party,’ complete with the event-exclusive 20% discount on all regular-priced items!

As soon as we got there, we were given the itinerary by the lovely people of Homeroom Creatives and we were allowed to get inside and start pinning with Winnie. I was fortunate enough to be one of the five VIPs who received a free pair of the Havaianas Rio flipflops from Winnie!

I was given two free pins along with my Rio and I made Winnie pick the second pin for me. I also made Shai design the paper bag that I’ll keep the Rio in. We were assisted all along by the lovely store manager while Patrick Soriano (Winnie’s boyfriend)  – yes, the Sorianos in the media industry – made sure he’s got everything covered.

While the event was in full swing, we were also treated to some snacks from Pablo, and the multi-colored bev they specifically made for the event was super refreshing, I think I had two!

The store was closed to accommodate Winnie’s guests and she has been super lovely and down-to-earth. The intimate set-up of just 15 people allowed her to interact with everyone and really engage in a conversation. What a real sweet soul!

Overall, it was a really great experience and it was also Shai’s first time to attend an influencer’s exclusive event and I’m glad that she enjoyed it as well.

We capped off the morning with a bit of Baskin’ Robbins before heading home  – something cool for the two-hour drive!

Congratulations on your 2nd YouTube Anniversary, Winnie! Hope this is just the beginning and we see more from you in the coming years!

What about Bri from BGC didn't you like? I didn't like her either. Like when she got so damn mad at Key, Seven, and Shay for being "noisy" that night but the same morning she walked in loud as hell as 7am and woke EVERYBODY up. There's other reasons too.

How do you feel bout this season of BGC ? I like Fran, Bri, Say, Ki, & I can tolerate Key she's funny to me for some reason lol. Shay is boring, scary, & a follower and the number is a follower & boring too ! The number is wack af ! Always looking for a fight after Key done fought & always coming for Kiki for no reason. I think from the jump she ain't like Ki because she was big.

it was a pretty good season. my favorites are key and seven lol seven is petty and quick to fight and i like that

my thoughts on bgc17 since its the last season rip

key > bri > say >>> seven > kiki > fran > susan >>>>> shay and thats just the way it is! overall i liked all of them except shay which is rare bc i usually dislike at least half of the cast

key is my fave she was literally the star of the show she was so funny and she was great tv and i liked how she would insert herself into drama on whichever side she agreed with as opposed to being like ‘oh i dislike her so im gonna disagree with her on everything’. like when fran and bri were arguing and she came in hating on bri but then switched it up midway and turned on fran

bri was an icon and fought and did not give a fuck

say was funny and an ironic icon. she got kinda boring by the end but she gave good interviews

seven and fran both get the most improved award from me bc both were flops in the beginning who then redeemed themselves. seven gave us that iconic double fight w key. my problems w her are that she was boring in the beginning and that i feel like she might be fatphobic. like she was always picking apart kiki and i mean the stuff she was saying was usually correct but i felt like she was a little harsh. i wish they had another all star battle though bc i feel like seven would be good on it

kiki was sooooooooooo annoying but she contributed to the drama a lot so im glad she stayed the whole season. i just didnt like her weird obsession with protecting fran like shes a grown woman not a little kid you dont need to baby her constantly! and also that time where she was like “fran ill jump this girl with you idgaf” and then key (legend) was like ‘no jumping!’ and kiki started crying like ‘i would never do that why are you making me look like a jumper!’ like kiki really was cracked out of her damn mind. it was also kinda iconic how she always inserted herself into drama only to lose like every single fight

fran was also most improved but only kinda bc by the end of the season she was getting on my nerves again. in the beginning i HATED her bc i thought she was gonna be ashley from s9 all over again. but a few episodes in she like woke up and started being iconic and running her mouth at everyone and fighting shay. so that was like her peak. then she had her rivalry w bri since they were both blonde which was kinda iconic. i started being :/ with her when bri hit her and she started playing the victim sooooo much acting like what she did was completely undeserved. like first of all you were running your mouth about bri before she even got in the house. AND even if that doesnt justify it for you she definitely deserved to get punched after her comment about susans husband so if anything it was just like bri got justice for susan. i also thought it was pathetic how she had like an emotional breakdown after getting punched once like...dont go on bgc if you dont wanna fight!!! every season most of the girls fight at least once its like going on drag race and being surprised when the first challenge is a sewing challenge

susan was kinda eh for me i thought her relationship w her husband was kinda weird but whatever. on the show she was iconic i like when she ended kiki and when she almost murdered fran

shay was just boring she shouldve been sent home after fighting fran tbh just to get her out of the house bc she contributed nothing! she was like ‘oh i really need to design this hat for key’ then all she did was hot glue a gold chain on a snapback lmao. i did think it was funny how she became bffs w the other side like 20 min after being separated from key and seven but i heard she doesnt show up to the reunion which makes her an automatic flop in my eyes

overall this was a good season! the girls didnt leave constantly like last season and there wasnt as much jumping/bullying. i liked how dynamic all their relationships were. the finale was pretty good bc the double fight was iconic but they should not have sent key and seven home bc it got soooo boring after they left. plus key should have been the last one standing not fran 

in the end i think i like the key/seven/susan side more. i liked both sides though but the ~positive~ girls started getting annoying towards the end. i liked them better when they were like the underdogs off the house. i also liked it more when the house was like 3 vs 2 vs 2 as opposed to being 3 vs 4. but yeah overall it was a good season there was lots of drama. my fave relationships were key and kiki, bri and fran, and fran and kiki bc they were all interesting and dynamic and iconic

Hmm, ok(This episode was alright, it was slow and that’s to be expected. It’s the first episode so I’m giving it a pass to be boring)

Shay: so far she’s alright. Not too bad but not great either.

Kiyanna: I like her and she goofy so I like her more lmao. She does seem over protective and it’s too early in the game for her to be carrying on like that (shoving sayyora wasn’t necessary)

Sayyora: she can’t be trusted. That’s it, she’s the type of person to make friends at the expense of others. I do like that she tried to make things right with Susan but it seemed kinda sloppy and then the others ruined it

Key: she was alright until the whole drawer incident. She stated that she has anger issues and we all know that the smallest things can set a person like that off. I hope she learn that you don’t have to open your mouth and say something ALL the time. Her having no filter and not being afraid to say anything is a blessing and a curse

Susan: she’s ok, she’s the quiet one so far and I can see why. As far as her situation go I get it then I don’t get it. She said she loves him but made it clear that she’s not faithful. I wish she would’ve worked that out before going on the show or something because had the others not catch on to sayyora, she would’ve been the black sheep of the house

Fran: she’s cool, that’s it. I’ll probably have more to say in the future

Seven: she’s alright, I think I’m the only one who’s not as hype for her like everybody else. I feel like she may end up being overrated and that’ll annoy the hell out of me

Bad Girls Club BGC17 (S17E06) Strike Up a Match Airdate: March 21, 2017 @oxygen @badgirlsclub Ratings: 0.504 Million :: 0.24 18-49 Demo Share Score: 6/10 **********SPOILERS BELOW********** It's true, It's DAMN true... I'm a couple weeks behind, but I still here for you. Let's break down what happened in 'Strike A Match', because I think we all can admit this shit was crazy. There's a few things I agree with Briana about, there is no such thing as 'friends'. You can pretend all you want, you can kikiki all you want, but at the end of the day, the thing my grandfather told me when I was young boy will always stick with me... It will always ring true... 'By the end of your life you'll be able to count the real friends you've made on one hand'... Now do you really believe that one of those people will be another person that you met on 'Bad Girls Club', nah. Tho I will admit that Kiki and Fran seem pretty tight. Im not sure why Briana took such issue with Fran commenting on her pissing in the middle of a limo on camera on national tv in a cup. It's a tight space, I'd probably have a comment or two as well, tho I doubt fighting about it would be in the picture. When I was in my 20's I was a very angry person, but now it would take a lot to rattle me... If these girls took MDMA instead of drinking there would be a lot less conflict, but I guess that's the opposite of what the producers want. My guess is that alcohol played a huge role in all of this, and kind of a silent, brewing tension that eventually just got out of hand. I do respect Kiki for sticking up for Fran, who's face was fucked up after Briana was done with her, but I'm not going to celebrate Kiki for sucker punching Sayorra while she was in a sitting position on her bed... She better grow some balls and apologize for that. That was the nastiest sucker punch thrown in this episode, but it wasn't the only one. We can fight and we can get over it, there's nothing that we can't really forgive others for, especially after a long day of filming and drinking... And for the record, those saying Fran can't fight, if you remember correctly she beat the shit out of Shay after she displayed the ultimate disrespect and spit on her. This may be the type of episode that glues your eyes to the screen, but the last thing I want to see is see a group like that dissipate in a matter of one night. With Briana, girl all you can do is apologize. Your behavior was off, point, blank, period... But it's not a sure thing that you will be forgiven, maybe over time... And as far as Kiki is concerned, the fact that she is so ride or die for her friend, Francesca, is incredible... Loyalty is everything, but not everyone understands that, and hitting people because they refuse to choose sides is not ok... It's DEAD WRONG. You were caught up in the moment, but the way it went down just made me cringe. Remember, guys, these are all very young girls who are very much still finding themselves, except for Keyaira who is turning the corner to 30 and is either turning it on for the camera or has the emotional stability of a 13 year old. They are going to make mistakes, this show is one giant social experiment, and we shouldn't crucify these girls who make mistakes... As it's all part of the experience.

Bad Girls Club BGC17 (S17E05) Blonde Sided Airdate: March 14, 2017 @oxygen @bgconoxygen Ratings: 0.411 Million :: 0.19 18-49 Demo Share Score: 5.25/10 ***********SPOILERS BELOW********** BGC (S17E05) Blonde Sided S17 continues to step-up and give us one last guilty pleasure of a season... Yeah, Yeah, it's literally like throwing hot, crackling fryer oil on the human brain. As human beings, we might be daft as a whole, but you can't say we aren't resilient... And I'd at least like to think that I've done worse to my brain than 17 seasons straight of The 'Bad Girls Club'. Ok, maybe not, but dammit... After so many seasons of this shitshow, it's nice to finally get our money's worth again, and I have to admit S17 continues to raise the bar for itself. Vegas isn't really the West Coast, hence why Briana probably can't correctly throw up a W. No worries, Briana might not be great with her fingers, but the girl knows how to make an entrance... And even though the 'I'm cool with everyone until they give me a reason not to be' is a dangerous philosophy, it's certainly respectable and one I used to embrace before I lived on the East Coast for over a decade. And really that's what I've always liked about BGC, especially the older seasons... Fresh faced young women who live by a certain standard, set of principles, or mantra. Girls that will fight for that way of life, not over a drunk girl taking a bite out of their $1.50 hot pocket (Nope, we'll never let that one go, Jen). This season might be set up as East Coast vs West Coast but it's quickly becoming the battle of the personal creeds... And that's something I can respect. Listen, I know the Key is just awful, but we simply have to have a villain... And it's true that Seven might be in the same room as Key, but Seven doesn't seem to be a follower or behave in a 'pack mentality' manner, like the type of disgusting behaviors we saw from Jaz, Tiana, and the rest of those 'Wolf Pack' messes from S11, one of the biggest blunders in reality tv and BGC history. As much as I liked Seven in the beginning and still appreciate her 'diamond-cutting' looks, like the one she had on her face when Key was being loud, annoying, and aggressive as usual in the limo... I am starting to take a few issues with the girl. For one, saying things like 'we need more female dj's' is a bit shortsighted. Don't get me wrong, if you have talent and you are a female then bring it on... But you don't get to just stand up in front of a crowd and press 'stop/start' and fiddle with a few knobs to make a SERIOUS, credible DJ... Look at MixMag's 2016 DJ of The Year... My dear friend... 'The Black Madonna'. She didn't step in and get by on being cute and flirting and turning knobs... She is literally one of the hardest working, inspirational figures that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, I've watched her claw her way to the top and it's been watching her and knowing her struggle over the years that has pushed me to reach for my brass ring. Nothing that lasts is ever just handed to you... And if you are a 'House Head' please do yourself a favor and check out 'The Black Madonna's music right now. Now SHE is a strong, empowering female role model for both men and women. Take notes. Back to the show, many of you are on my level and I love you for it, but let's be real... The BGC audience as a whole can't take long-winded reviews. The meat and potatoes of 'Blonde Sided' is that *insane* midseason trailer... We are 5 episodes in and it looks like the producers are comfortable with the dynamic and like I said before I appreciate that many of these young women are showing you that they have a 'code' they live and die by. Over the course of your life, those codes will change and tweak as you go along... And being petty isn't cute, but standing up for what you believe in, reaching for that brass ring, and crushing anyone who gets in your way... THATS respectable. That trailer let us know that this might be the very last season of BGC ever but it's about to go out in true 'Bad Girl' fashion... A big BANG!

I’m not saying Fran isn’t a ‘Bad Girl’, and from the previews it looks like eventually someone gets under her skin and she’s off and poppin’, but I’m not sure if she was cast on the right show. I swear her and Seven are a better fit for 'The Real World’. They are just so chill, I noticed that the latest season of 'The Real World’ has 'Bad Blood in its title, so I’m not sure if it’s as chill as when I watched it. Nevertheless, neither one of the girls seems like the petty type, and that’s a compliment, really.

Both 'Keys’ seem to be at the center of the drama, stirring the pot for no good reason. And as I’ve said a million times before, the fights can be exciting, but they really only matter when they are actually about something real, something that these girls stand for. Get political, take moral stances, don’t wipe your dirty pussy on another girls bed, cuz that’s shit isn’t even funny. Looks like it backfired on Kiki anyway as she literally hip tossed by Susan, who clearly has a career in the WWE, or their NXT Developmental Program. That hip toss was flawless tho, she might not need additional training.

So these hot head Key girls are my picks for the first ones to go. They are instigating, getting physical first, and being overall nuisances… I have a hard time believing that either one of them will last to the end. Sayyora is playing the game, but she’s smarter than most of the other girls, but she clearly has a temper on her. It’s really Susan who was the stand out, for not only using Kiki’s momentum against her and body slamming the largest girl in the house, but staying calm through pretty much the whole thing. The calmer you stay as the other girls hulk up, gets under their skin even more. Guys, we are another episode close to being completely done with the BGC franchise!

Bad Girls Club (S17E01) 'Coastal Clash' Airdate: February 15, 2017 @oxygen Ratings: 0.323 Million :: 0.14 18-49 Demo Share Score: 3.75/10 *****SPOILERS BELOW***** It took me a long time to find it, but that's because BGC broke a record... That's right the last & final 17th season scored the lowest ratings of any BGC premiere ever at 323,000 live viewers with an 0.14 18-49 Demo, coming in at #96 on original cable series this past Tuesday. On the upswing, I think those the have followed the show since the beginning definitely feel that this final season will at least bring something a little new to the table. The loft style house brings a whole new vibe and look to the show, the East vs West 'Bucket List' scoreboard gives the girls something to do other than involving themselves in petty squabbles. 17 seasons with any series is going to take its toll and really start to show that dreaded 'series fatigue', but since we're here and these girls are ready to give it all they got... Lets try and enjoy BGC for one last time. 7 new girls have entered and there's already tension in the air. Like Ive always preached, what's made prior seasons like S4 so strong is the fighting was over core values, not over Hot Pockets, we can tell when people are putting on for cameras and thirsty for attention and legitimate, and it shows in the numbers. Camaraderie is just as important as conflict, there needs to be a balance and you'd think after 17 seasons, the producers would have a hold on what works and what doesn't. It's never easy to come out of the gate and say who is going to make it or even who's who in the beginning, because walking in the house all the girls have their guard up, their strategies laid out, games being played, and some are already throwing around tension and shade. The three girls that immediately caught my eye were Francesca, Seven & Sayyora... Susan was a close runner up. Francesca embodies the East Coast, this girl looks breathes, and is East Coast.... And as an East Coaster, I love that. Seven off top is automatically setting herself apart, stepping back and analyzing everyone, and then long boarding to blow off steam. Sayyora is my 'Wild Card', she's in Pre-Law... This is a highly intelligent girl, who is coming in with a purpose. She's rattling up the girls with the short fuses right off bat like Keiyara, who I like but Keiyara is looking for a fight... And that's not good, especially since she's the oldest which automatically makes her the most desperate and emotionally stunted. Her beef over the rice in a drawer proves that. Girl, don't be a Jen.... You don't want to be forever known as 'The Rice Girl', like Jen (from S10) is known as 'Hot Pockets'. Susan is an interesting character... I don't know what to think of her yet. I can tell some of what she's throwing down is an act, but there might be something genuine in her as well, and the real test with these girls is to see if their walls can be legitimately torn down. I really have no opinion on Kiyanna, I can already tell she won't be repping Brooklyn well. And as for Shay, right now she's more of an archetype than she is a human being as there's always someone like her every season, we'll see if she's able to break that mold... I hope she will. Cups up, y'all... This is the last season of BGC ever and YES we have to watch it! We made it this far, didn't we?! I've been here since S01E01 and I'm gonna watch this show go out like Old Yeller, it's time to put her down... But we got a few episodes to go first!
