S2 Synopsis: Their private security company gets bought by a large company, and due to a conflict with their new employer Shimazaki quits his job to work independently, later joined by his colleague Takanashi Masaya. Here to share Hien thoughts today.

One thing that defines her is that she’s very capable. She’s the highest ranking in the squad after Maizuru so her confidence is in part because she does have that senior coworker &/ leader authority to her, confidence which is very much earned.

If I had to dig deeper at her beyond just what we’re shown I’d go with the angle that… She was born into the Nakamoto household and being a ninja servant, she grew up there, she doesn’t know anything else beyond the job, and it’s a job she does well, traines to get there. She’s here to do her work and she’s content with her life being how it is, not that she knows anything else. I don’t think she’d be self-aware about it all? Both because this really is pretty normal for Wa and it’s her normal, and because, while she doesn’t fold her spine or care for things like cosmetics, she does mold her attitude to be both capable and respectable. Her home, the Nakamoto household, is simultaneously a professional setting, it’s a 24/7 thing.

She’s critical of others, including her superiors and she doesn’t shy from it. Everyone shittalks Toshiro’s father regardless, but she also gets reprimanded by Maizuru for seeing Toshiro as vaguely unreliable, again likely influenced by their history as childhood friends, sasses Maizuru when she goes off into an anecdote again, etc. Even as a kid with Toshiro, doubtlessly after starting her ninja training already considering that Toshiro started his at ~5yo, she told him it was unbecoming of him to cry. She’s the one both with the job and the will to keep others in check, like when it comes to Izutsumi not doing her tasks, etc etc.

Her childhood friend relationship with Toshiro only grew more professional with time, to her surprise but seems to be more about the thought of it rather than it affecting her emotionally. With the way her extra comic lays it out, it seems she expected to become Toshiro’s mistress because of history repeating itself, in a "it is what it is" way more than anything, which is in line with the reading that she’s more go-with-the-flow and "anything that I’m tasked with I’ll accomplish, as a matter of course". She’s not really social, and keeps herself ready to act at beck and call. She’s not uptight but she’s hard-working. So yeah like, taking pride in your skills but also keeping your identity mostly molded for efficiency. She doesn’t really think about it all, she just is and she’s fine with things as they are, going from one task to the next.

I think it’d be neat to look at her relationship with her parents… They’re both servants at the Nakamotos’, so while maybe busy like Maizuru was at times while raising Toshiro but still taking the time to cook for him (which, parents that prioritize work over her would make sense with how she became how she is), I wonder what their relationship was like, how much time they spent together, how Hien feels like towards them… I assume they’re a part in molding what her definition of normal is, after all if they are longstanding servants of the Nakamotos she has that much less reason to question such a life. But like… Have they ever had hard-hitting discussions, or is she pretty distant even with them? Did they push her into working harder, or were more hands-off? Does Hien maybe want to earn recognition by being capable? Hien has a younger sister that she gets along "so-so" with…

Hien’s younger sister seems to smile more, be more social and a bit nonchalant, such and such. Could be a point of tension that points to the "so-so", that they’re dissimilar/Hien thinks she doesn’t behave right or takes things too lightly, that she’s "unreliable" maybe. Or it could also point to some difference in how they grew up… Like oh I bet there could be tasty angst with mertocracy and siblings favoritism with her family thrown in there… Having to earn the love, earn your keep, earn your spot in the hierarchy (in work and family both)

To me she shines best as a foil, like to Beni, but like. She’s got neat stuff going on If you’re wondering where I took half of what I referenced from I recommend looking at my masterpost on the Nakamoto party, info and extras are compiled

I said it before and I will say it again. The one to be transferred to the Mafia is Fukuzawa. He's just the most fit for it.

It's not Dazai, because Mori is not stupid. Dazai rejoining the Mafia, especially through this agreement, would be the end of the Mafia. Besides, it would destroy his whole character and evolution.

It's not Yosano, Fukuzawa made it clear. That woman is not stepping foot in the Mafia's buildings.

It's not Kunikida, his ideals simply don't allow it. It would be stupid of Mori to choose him. Kunikida is not afraid to die, he would rather die than go against his ideals. And yes, I'm counting Kunikida as alive cuz I refuse to believe him or Kenji or Tanizaki or Teruko are dead. Asagiri is still a fucking coward.

It's not Atsushi either. He's supposed to be the good guy. The one that brings ppl to light not the one that moves to the dark. Besides, he's in the Mafia in Beast so I don't think he should be there in this universe too.

It's not Kyouka because a) she's useless for Mori now and b) Kouyou will personally kill Mori is he chooses Kyouka.

It's not Kenji, he just isn't. His ability is useless for Mori and his mind set is just not what Mori wants.

It's not Tanizaki cuz it's too obvious. He just said "then I'll go" and nobody protested or anything. This transfer is supposed to he something more (because of the lack of words) dramatic. Yes, his ability and down-for-murder attitude fit the Mafia, but it's just not him. It just feels wrong. I do agree he's second most likely to join tho. (Plus if he joins the Mafia literally every1 would mistake him for Tachi tbh)

It's not Ranpo cuz a) no ability, b) the second he steps foot in the hq the Mafia is doomed, c) he doesn't take orders, he's useless for the mafia and d) he's loyal to Fukuzawa until the day he dies and after. Any word he hears in there is going to Fukuzawa within 10 seconds.

I'm not even counting Naomi and Haruno in. Not even Naomi's bg that's coming now can make me change my mind on this. No matter how deep or dark their past is, they don't have abilities, the Mafia barely knows about their existence and Tanizaki would kill Mori if he chose Naomi.

And we're left with Fukuzawa. And honestly he makes most sense. Especially after this arc. Because he's not risking losing any of the ADA members after this. He's not risking it. Besides, he's a former assassin, his skill is wanted in the Mafia. His ability would be helpful for Mori, they could skip any possible ability trainings for new members. He's known Mori for a decade and he worked for him before as a bodyguard. (I lowkey think that Mori will use Fukuzawa as a bodyguard for a while just because he can, like beastzai did with Beastchuuya, but unlike Chuuya Fukuzawa won't give a shit. He saw it coming). And Natsume would definitely like Fukuzawa there to keep Mori "in check", to keep an eye on him. Plus, if Fukuzawa leaves the ADA, both Atsushi and Kyouka will lose control over their abilities and that would benefit the Mafia as the ADA would be even weaker.

And do y'all remember that episode/OVA when Aya first appears? Ranpo and Dazai said it, Kunikida is Fukuzawa's succesor. Why mention it if Fukuzawa keeps the position during the entire show? No, we will have Kunikida as ADA's president. And Chuuya was put there by Asagiri so the Mafia will know who the ADA's next leader is, so they'll know who they'll be fighting against.

In conclusion, Fukuzawa will be the one to be transferred to the Mafia after this arc ends. Argue with the wall

FINISHED~!!!! Stayed up to finish True Damage Ekko! Some info about the HammerTime AU under the cut!

TD!Ekko is a very popular rap artist that’s a part of True Damage. BodyGuard!Jayce is a middle-class Piltoven who decided to take on being the group’s bodyguard to fund his personal inventing projects after losing his mentorship with the Kirramanns. Ekko instantly took notice of Jayce’s shyer and quiet demeanor and teases him about it. Ekko instantly took a liking to Jayce through their shared love of inventing and will happily go out of his way to tip him more so Jayce can do more work with his time- even offering to help him personally. 

Ekko is head over heels for this Piltoven man and would take advantage of his position as the star to make certain decisions (having them share a hotel room, flying Jayce out when on hiatus for “work”, etc.). Jayce doesn’t mind too much- he finds it cute.

TD!Ekko’s personality aligns closer to League Ekko’s. He’s friendly, bubbly, and scrappy as well as intelligent. He still has biases against Piltover and their people, but Jayce’s more down-to-earth nature won him over. TD!Ekko is also very, very cocky when it comes to Jayce, he knows he has this poor man wrapped around his finger. 

BG!Jayce aligns with Act 1 Jayce in Arcane. He’s curious, optimistic, and hasn’t been corrupted by the politics of Piltover. He simply wants to do the right thing and wants to share his work with the world.

The artstyle direction for this AU is the bolded black lines and vibrant colors of the True Damage, “Giants” MV art style.

i know with the bg fic I'm writing right now that there are A LOT of deleted scenes/ different directions I could have taken it in (I have a 12,000 word document just worth of the plot I had originally done ended up hating it all and choosing something different haha)

so I was curious if you had any deleted scenes!!

oh gosh yeah definitely, i know the feeling of 12000 words getting scrapped all at once. i have a word document full of deleted moments from all my fics and it's 75000 words lol

as for bodyguard yes!! this story changed directions a lot in initial planning. the absolute BIGGEST change however is chan's role in the story.

in the earliest version of the story, miroh existed insofar as there existed some kind of military/business/operation where felix would have been raised and trained. some of the backstory was the same - however, none of those characters were named.

chan and changbin were not going to be former soldiers like him. in fact... they were going to work at a cafe!! lol suffice to say, that version was very different than the final outcome.

chan and changbin were going to own a cafe/restaurant near the university and she was going to have an under-the-table-paid-in-cash part-time job there, making money and hiding it to hopefully plan for a future if she and felix escaped.

of course, with chan not being the person felix was trying to save, who was? in that original draft, felix was going to have a twin brother who essentially occupied that role. there is actually a little bit evidence to this still present in the final story; while it's explained that felix dyes his hair because he generally can't stand to look at his appearance and think of the boy he was under miroh, originally this was doubly so because he looks identical to the boy he was trying to save, and he didn't want to see his twin looking back at him as a reminder of what he was failing to save. i had originally established blonde felix by the time i scrapped the twin, so i just ran with it haha

i went with chan in the end because i decided that i wanted the boy he was trying to save to be someone we were also familiar with. so the job and cafe got scrapped and poor chan and changbin got put through the ringer instead hahaha

YIPPE Okay so this is about Uncontained (I’m gonna shorten Uncontained Anomalies Canon to just Uncontained for simplicity sake)

I’m currently drafting an SCP article for Grace and Argent, they’re twins, psychics, and have what I suppose are x-men type regeneration abilities. (I know nothing about x-men) Argent was kidnapped and taken by the SCP Foundation when they were really young, any evidence of him even existing was just wiped from the face of the earth. Grace and everyone who knew Argent are given amnestic pills so they completely forget him, he’s also given these pills so he forgets life before being put in the Foundation

Argent is kept in containment til he’s around 20, when Nelson, O5-6, a member of the o5 council which controls the foundation, offers him a job as a foundation field agent/member of the mobile task force (foundations brute force that they use for defense, offense, and bringing SCPs to containment). He accepts and with Nelson’s training and a lot of string pulling in the bg, he climbs the ranks and joins Mobile Task Forces Alpha-1, which works directly underneath the O5 council, basically like their personal bodyguards. Argent is set to be the next O5-6 if Nelson were to ever retire, go missing, or be terminated for any reason.

Meanwhile Grace lives a relatively normal life up until her late teens when she starts having psychic visions, blurry visions of what happened to her brother and possibly where he is in present. She runs away from home and eventually finds her way into the Manna Charitable Foundation, an anomalous humanitarian aid group, through meeting Sonia. She’s still honing her abilities while traveling the world helping others and looking for her brother.

I'm back with the list of doramas. 1 Vincenzo. An Italian mobster came to Korea to collect his gold, but he will not succeed so easily. 2 Bad and crazy. A comedy with a detective, that's the thing. 3. K2 bodyguard. It's more of an action movie than a detective story, but the drama is just fire.

Ah, Vincenzo...I tried to get into that one, but I mainly just watched it through tumblr gifs.

K2...I don't think I've watched that one/heard about it. However, if you want a good bodyguard drama, may I suggest BG: Personal Bodyguard S1 & S2? It's a japanese drama but oh it's so good. I really liked that one
