Can I get some headcanons with Free dating someone? I am WEAK
I might have rambled a bit on this one haha, feel free to resend the ask if you wanted something else!

Things to Note
the name should be an indicator, but Free enjoys his freedom— he’ll be resistant to anything that restricts it.
the Shishigumi comes first; even if Free is laidback, he's still part of the gang’s inner circle.
.
.
.
Meeting Free
surprisingly enough, your relationship with Free did not begin as anything sexual.
It doesn't even begin as a friendship — it's difficult to describe a situation wherein you find a random lion in your house.
You think he was trying to rob you.
You fainted, of course.
When you awoke, you found yourself on the floor with a nasty ache in your back and a note nearby.
The words were scribbled hastily in print; “WILL VISIT AGAIN SOON”.
You filed a police report, but nothing came of it— other an officer’s promise that the station would keep an eye out for “any suspicious characters”.
The police station is blind, you concluded. Reason being, the lion returned exactly a week later.
Now, Free (as you’ve learnt is his name) just waltzes in and makes himself at home.
No matter how often you changed the locks or fortified the windows, Free found a way in.
It was almost like a game for the feline— you gave up on trying to keep him out.
Free had a nasty habit of not taking off his dirty ass shoes before he put his feet up on your white couch.
As your relationship progressed, he became more mindful of his behaviour— though, it took him a while to remember not to put his shoes all over your furniture.
.
.
.
Gifts
you grew used to the lion visiting you randomly. Sometimes, Free did not visit you empty handed.
Free gave you an expensive phone— albeit one with a cracked screen, a watch that smelled like seawater and a couch with red polka-dots to replace the one he dirtied with the grime at the bottom of his shoe.
It took you ten minutes of cleaning your “brand-new” sofa to realise that the red spots were not part of the original design.
It was definitely best not to ask Free where exactly he sourced his gifts from.
You eventually began to feel a bit poorly about receiving things from him all the time.
The first time you presented Free with a gift, he shut down.
.
.
During his visits, Free liked to make use of your bathroom. He always set his suit, tie and shoes one side while he cleaned himself (and used up all your hot water in the process).
It was inevitable that you would notice the wrinkles, and the scuff marks.
You couldn't have something so unkempt in your house. It wasn't an issue for you to do a quick spot of ironing.
Even the shoes could be made presentable— you just had to wipe them off and apply a bit of black polish.
When Free realised what you had done, he seemed to be speechless. Just when you expected to hear a “Thank you Y/N”, God quickly brought you back to reality.
“You're going to do this sort of thing from now on?” He held the suit jacket up by its sleeves, as if searching for the wrinkles he knew were no longer present.
You shrugged. “If you keep your shoes off my couch, then sure,”
.
.
You thought that your gift would encourage him to visit more often, but for a whole month, Free did not visit you.
You wondered if the police had finally caught the bastard— but, after a month, he returned as if nothing had ever happened.
After that, he no longer showered at your place.
.
.
.
Free’s Thoughts & Motivations
this ‘relationship’ was the longest one Free had ever been in.
The lion who bathed in the revelry of the Black Market now looked forward not just to bloodshed, but to movie marathons and hearing you bitch about your neighbours.
The fear of this casualty metamorphosing into something serious . . . something permanent, compelled Free to leave you alone for a while to collect his thoughts.
He only visited you because your home was a convenient place to rest before returning to the Mansion.
(The night you met him, he'd broken in to avoid a police patrol in the area.)
The presents were bribes to keep you complacent.
(Though . . . maybe he felt a bit bad about ruining your sofa.)
As much as your gesture touched him, Free wanted nothing in return.
Your gift was proof that you held some kind of affection for him.
Free returned to the Mansion feeling quite warm inside that day, but he didn't dare shower at your place again.
The affection that you held for him, no matter how miniscule, was addictive.
.
.
.
Dating
The others didn't pay much attention to it when Free casually mentioned that he had a “friend" outside of the Black Market.
The inner circle grew suspicious when he refused to elaborate further.
.
.
“It's time that we address the elephant in the room.” Dolph gave a pointed look at the only empty chair in the room.
Free’s chair.
The others around the table nodded once in solemn agreement. Then, someone raised their hand.
Dolph’s expression seemed to soften the smallest amount. “Yes, Agata?”
“Who’s going to kill him if we find out he’s planning to leave the gang? I would volunteer but my shoulder's still healing from that last gang war—”
Before the scar-faced lion could reply, Ibuki interjected. “This is Free we are discussing— he would not betray the Shishigumi in such a manner. There's no need to discuss things like that,”
He tapped a claw against the table, “In any case, we will get to the bottom of this. Tonight.”
.
.
.
A Cause For Concern
you thought that you were being paranoid.
You hoped that you weren't really being followed.
There was no mistaking it.
Everywhere you went, everytime you went outside, it was there.
A singular black car.
.
.
“Eh? What are you panicking about?” You heard Free's voice, but you didn't respond. You tossed your car keys, and they landed on the kitchen table.
You sped over to the windows. With one, great motion, you drew them, only stopping when the entire house was draped in darkness.
“There’s this black car . . . It’s been tailing me all weekend,” Though your voice was calm, your hands were shaking as you made your way back to the couch.
Free grew thoughtful, but only for the briefest of moments. He waved dismissively, and lapped one leg over the other, pulling you onto his lap with his free arm.
“Don’t worry about it. Just the Shishigumi being the Shishigumi. They won't break in or anything,”
Silence hung in the air only for half a minute, before Free added, “Probably won't, anyways,”
But, you are more focused on the s-word, rather than on what they may or may not do to your home.
“Shishigumi . . .?” The word was foreign on your tongue, but it was not entirely unfamiliar.
You didn't move off of his lap, but you gently pried off the hands that held your waist in place.
If you didn't know better, you would have sworn that Free looked just a bit . . . hurt by your actions. Still, he got the message and his hands remained at either side of himself.
You were grateful for that much.
“I didn't stutter,” The lion tsked. His hand slid over his mane. He was antsy about something, thag much you knew.
When Free next spoke, his voice was low. His chin rest atop your head, and you could easily feel the calming vibration of his throat.
“It doesn't bother you, right?”
A sigh escaped your lips. You pinched your nose. You internally debated strangling him for daring to ask something with such an obvious answer.
Of course you would mind! You felt as if you had always known Free was part of some illegal operation— but, it had never crossed your mind to assume the lion was in an actual gang!
No . . . that was a lie.
The thought had crossed your mind. You willed the thought to go away everytime it reared its ugly head.
“No, I don't mind, Free. I don't mind at all.”
.
.
.
Going Steady
Free talked things out with his colleagues— that's what he told you, at least.
The ominous black vehicle that stalked your every move disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared.
Life went back to normal, though, the visitor's list expanded by eight more lions.
Ibuki and Dolph were infrequent visitors— if they stopped by, then you knew it was on important business.
Agata often fetched your groceries, so you saw him often.
Miguel, Dope and Jinma visited infrequently, but were not as rare to see as Ibuki and Dolph.
Hino, like Agata, was a regular. He mostly crashed in your guest room— apparently, it was easier to fall asleep at your place.
Once every few months, Sabu would deliver your groceries instead of Agata. He seemed nice enough, but you found him to be intimidating as hell.
For better or for worse, Free begun spending nights at your house.
It would be wrong to call him a freeloader, though.
.
.
“There's ten grand in here . . .” You murmured to yourself. You turned the envelope over in your hands. Your name was written on the side, in Free's chickenscratch penmanship.
But, there was also a note; “10K. RENT MONEY FOR Y/N.”

"And I’m damn proud of you, because you survived another day." (Ms. Venable x reader,
hiyaa :3 i wrote this yesterday while we were stuck in traffic...so idk lol
summary: You are depressed coz of the apocalypse and your girlfriend wants to help you..idk i’m bad in smt like that :’)
warnings: depression, talking about suicide, pills
“momma im in love with google translate”
Tumblr media
"Maybe I'm going crazy now, but I saw a young woman in the hallway in front of the library last night", Mr. Gallant said  at the dinner tonight
Timothy just shrugged.
"It must have been some Gray who got lost", he muttered and stabbed the little cube in front of him with his fork.
Mister Gallant rolled his eyes.
"No I swear!", Replied the hairstylist. "I know all the Grays by now and I've never seen her before and she wore purple."
Stu, who was sitting next to the man, suppressed a laugh.
"You've probably seen a ghost, I said it's only a question of time before the first of us commits suicide."
"Or until Miss Venable killed everyone who didn't obey her rules", Coco added in a whisper and made the others laugh.
Unlucky Miss Venable wasn't deaf.
"What nonsense .." hissed the red-haired woman at the other end of the table.
"I promise you, the only ghost that will haunt around here is Mister Gallant's, should he wander around the Outpost one more time."
Immediately everyone stopped laughing and all eyes were on Miss Venable, who now stood up without a word to go out of the room.
"Or her ghost, if she continues to act as if we were her subjects ..", Coco mumbled quietly before she turned back to her 'dinner'.
------------
Miss Venable ran through the corridors of her outpost to get to her room.
What those idiots at the table had said worried her. Not because she cared about other people's opinions, simply because they were right. The thing with the ghost was just a joke, but it was, what you basically were...a ghost.
Ever since you first met before all of this, you had been struggling with depression and an apocalypse was unlikely to improve your condition. She had decided it was better if the other residents of the outpost didn't find out about your existence. Which wasn't a problem, because most of the day you were just lying in bed tired anyway.
"Hey princess .." she said gently as she entered your bedroom. Her eyes fell on you in concern. Like the days before, you lay buried in your blanket and the only thing what she could see was your disheveled hair, which had become greasy. One would have thought you would have been dead, had your chest not slowly raised and lowered again.
Mina closed the door behind her, before crossing the room to sit next to you on the edge of the bed. She carefully pulled the covers down to reveal your face. Without emotion, you stared with bleary eyes into the flame of the torch that hung on the wall.
"How do you feel?", Mina whispered and pushed a few strands of your hair from your face.
"I missed you ..", you answered in a dry voice and Mina could feel a pang in her chest when she heard it.
"I'm here now", she muttered as she put her hand on your cheek.
She looked sadly into your cloudy eyes and knew that you probably wished you weren't alive any longer.
You cleared your throat and turned your gaze to Mina. And Mina could see that you were trying to bring a small smile to your chapped lips.
"I took my pills .." you said and Mina's eyes lit up at your words.
"Thats great, princess!", she called and smiled lovingly at you.
"I'm proud of you."
"And I ate the cubes",  you added as you pull the blanket a little higher over your shoulders. "Even they were disgusting."
"You are such a good girl",  Mina muttered before bending over to press her lips against the warm skin of your temple.
"I'll have a quick shower before I get to bed with you",  she explained and got up to look at you thoughtfully.
"Do you want to join me?"
You looked at her for a few seconds with narrowed eyes.
"I look like shit don't I?" You finally said as you stood up with shaky legs and held onto her arm, which she held out to you.
"Don't say that", Mina replied as she led you into your bathroom. "You are beautiful as always, Princess".
Together with Mina's help, you manage to shower. It was unbelievably exhausting for Mina to stand so long without her cane and the fact that she now also helped you to wash, bordered on a miracle.
After both of you showered and dried your hair, you climbed into your bed and you could finally curl up in your girlfriend's arms.
"I forgot to ask how your day was".  Mina heard you whisper in the dark while rubbing her hands over the bare skin of your back.
She pondered briefly what to answer you. Her day had been shitty. Those selfish, rich assholes were just annoying.
"My day was okay", she mumbled and suddenly she remembered the conversation at dinner.
"Why didn't you tell me, you were in the library last night?" She added without sounding reproachful.
"How do you know that?" You asked confused as you started to play with the hem of her purple nightgown. When Mina didn't answer you continued.
"I wanted to read last night so I went to the library to get a book."
Mina hesitated a few seconds before answering. Somewhere it was great, you had left your room for the first time in weeks, but on the other hand she disapproved the thought of you, wandering through the corridors of the outpost at night.
"You could have woken me up, I would have gone with you." she said finally.
"Did you at least be able to read?"
"I gave up after the first three sentences", you sighed.
"It was just too much."
Your girlfriend wrapped her arms around you a little tighter when she heard the regret in your voice.
"It's okay .." she hummed. "The only important thing right now, is that you survived another day. I'm proud of you princess", she muttered, suppressing a yawn before closing her eyes and falling asleep a few minutes later.
She told you that every evening.
---------------------
You had been in this outpost for almost two months and you got tired of waking up every morning with a fear of opening your eyes. Because a part of you still had the hope,that it was just a nightmare. But whenever you opened your eyes, instead of staring out of the window of your bedroom, you stared into the fire of the torch, thag hung next to the bed and all your hopes died.
You found yourself ungrateful and you could think of countless people, who would have deserved your place in the Outpost much more than you did. You weren't anyone and just because Mina was your girlfriend you were still alive. That was unfair.
Of course you could see how worried Mina was about you and you hated yourself for it. The world had come to an end and Mina, as the head of this outpost, paid her attention to you, the poor little wreck that couldn't even shower by itself.
You pulled the blanket a little tighter around your shoulders when a slight breeze made you shiver and sent goosebumps all over your body. It had been a stupid idea to leave your room again, but you had to promise Mina that you would take your pills and now you were looking for the kitchen, if there was something like that here, to get a glass of water.
Usually Mina brought you these things and you couldn't blame her for forgetting today.
It was currently 10 p.m. and you were already in your pajamas while walking barefoot through the outpost to get some water.
"Oh my god. Gallant was right, it's haunted here", a shrill voice suddenly called from behind you and made you flinch. You turned slowly around and looked with narrowed eyes into the face of a blonde woman, who came up to you and stood in front of you with folded arms.
"Are you a purple?" She asked you frowning and you nodded curtly.
"And whats your name?" She asked further.
"Y / N", you mumbled and decided at the same moment, that you didn't like this woman.
"Well, Y / N, I've never seen you here before",
the blonde cocked her head and looked at you piercingly as
you looked away from her and looked embarrassed at your feet.
"I spend a lot of time in my room."
"Your room?" Asked the woman confused.
"Which room do you live in exactly? To the best of my knowledge, all of the rooms in the outpost are occupied. You can't have a room of your own-"
"I should go now", you muttered as you turned to move away from this annoying woman, but she grabbed your wrist.
"Just wait until Miss Venable finds out", she said, looking down at you smugly. "You know, she-"
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Mina's loud voice at the end of the hall made you both drive around to her.
The blonde immediately let go of your wrist and pointed with outstretched fingers at your trembling form.
"This is the woman Mister Gallant was talking about", she said and looked at you disparagingly.
"You see? It's not haunted here", Mina hissed as she approached you both. "As tightly as you have gripped her wrist, she can't be a ghost."
"I've never seen her here before, how is that possible?" Asked the annoying woman and you winced again when her shrill voice boomed in your ears.
"Maybe because your selfish ass is too busy with itself?", Mina funodded angrily at the blonde, who thought with open mouth what she should answer, but Mina got ahead of her.
"I think you should go to bed now, before you say anything you might regret later", Mina kept her voice lowered while she spoke and sounded dangerous at the same time.
The woman next to you looked at you and then at Mina one more time before turning and reluctantly went down the hall.
"Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt", Mina said to you while she watched the blonde disappear into one of the rooms and you knew that she meant the woman's name.
"What are you doing here, princess?", asked your girlfriend and grabbed the hand that this woman, Coco, had just grabbed, to gently stroke the back of your hand with her thumb.
"I wanted to get some water.. you know, for the pills", you mumbled.
"And then this woman came."
"Go back to our room, it's cold," Mina cooed and gently squeezed your hand.
"I'll get you water."
"Thanks .." you said curtly and let go of her hand before turning around to go back to your room.
When Mina came to your room less than five minutes later, you were already buried in bed under your blanket again and only your head was sticking out.
"I've got your water", she muttered and walked across the room to put the glass on your bedside table. You mumbled a little "thank you", reached for the glass to wash down the pills.
As you drank, your eyes were glued on Mina, who crossed the room to lock your door and you could see her grimace with every step she took.
"You are in pain", you noticed shortly after you put your glass back on the table.
"Honey?" You kept trying as she ignored you.
"I'm fine," she growled without looking at you.
"Stop lying to me."
Again she didn't answer and just sat on the edge of her bed.
Worried you stared holes in her back while you chewed on your cracked lower lip. She always did that .. Whenever she felt bad and you noticed, she ignored you.
"Okay, come here", you sighed and climbed over the bed to sit cross-legged behind her.
"What is this supposed to be, Princess?"
Mina sounded confused when she felt you carefully pull the zipper of her dress down.
"I take care of you", you muttered and also pulled the zipper of her white lace blouse down to expose her back.
"Y / N, you really don't have to. I don't-"
"Shut up, Mina!", you growled and leaned over to take the lotion off her bedside table. You opened the jar to spread the lotion on your fingers.
"You let me know if I hurt you, right?" You whispered and when she nodded in agreement you carefully began to spread the ointment on her back.
The next minute was filled with a pleasant silence as you tried not to hurt your girlfriend and tried to be as gentle as possible. You usually did this for her every night, but for the past few weeks it had been canceled due to your health and it was obvious that she couldn't take care of it herself.
"How was your day, princess?", Mina finally asked quietly and you took a moment to think about her question.
"Better than yesterday", you said curtly while your fingers were still wandering over her serpentine spine.
"You know, everytime I close my eyes, I see faces of my friends and relatives and I wonder if this will ever end."
Mina hummed in agreement before speaking.
"I haven't had a lot of people I liked, but I can imagine how awful you feel. It may not be a comfort, but I think you will eventually get used to it."
"I don't know ,how I feel right now to be honest", you mumbled.
"Inside of me everything is so empty. I haven't shed a single tear in weeks, if you understand what I mean."
Mina nodded slowly and was about to say something when suddenly you wrapped your arms around her from behind and carefully leaned your forehead against her back.
"I don't know what I would do without you, Mina", you whispered against her skin. "And even if I'm not really showing it at the moment, I'm so grateful for everything you do for me and I love you so much."
"Oh Princess ..", Mina cooed gently as she turned around in your arms to press her lips against yours.
"I know that you love me and I love you too. And you survived another day and that's the only thing that matters at the moment."
-------------------
A few days went by and you were still a total mess.
One day you walked around the room and could tidy up something while other days you could just lie in bed and stare holes in the wall. Mina was still very worried about you and really wanted you to be fine. But she also understood that this was probably going to be difficult for you, as there was nothing to hold on to your hope.
It was already afternoon when she was on her way to your room to bring you something, that she hoped would help. And while one hand was protecting herself on her stick, she was holding the clear plastic jar in the other, that she wanted to show you.
"Hey little sunshine", she called when she came into your room to find you wrapped in her blanket. She frowned.
"Why are you lying under my blanket?"
"I missed you and the blanket smells like you", you grumbled as you pulled the blanket down to reveal your face. Your eyes wandered to the plastic can in Mina's hand.
"What's that?" You asked confused
Mina smiled as she walked over to you to sit next to you on the bed.
"This is for you", she muttered and you sat up to take the can, she held out to you in your hands.
Mina looked at you expectantly and watched with satisfaction as your eyes lit up when you recognized the contents of the box.
"Oh my god, Mina", you breathed and began to smile while your eyes stared fascinated at the red butterfly, that was fluttering around in the box.
"She came into the outpost two days ago and I had her checked for diseases", Mina explained as she brushed a few of your hair off your face.
"She is beautiful", you whispered and when Mina saw tears glistening in your eyes, she knew that it was the right decision to give you the butterfly.
"She is", she mumbled contentedly before reaching out to tap the wall of the can with her index finger.
"And do you see the little pearls, that lie in the corner on the sheet? Those are eggs, from which caterpillars will hatch at some point-"
"And then they turn into more butterflies", you finished and she nodded.
"Mina, that's great, if we do everything right, we will not only be able to save our species, theirs too", you said and looked at Mina with sparkling eyes.
"You absolutely have to show the others .."
"Oh no", Mina replied.
"The others would find it more disgusting than fascinating, so you should take care of them."
"I ugh- well, thank you", you smiled brightly at her and Mina was glad to finally see you smile again. She leaned forward to kiss you on the forehead before she put her arm around you and you could rest your head on her shoulder. And while she was watching the little butterfly like you, the smell of her lavender perfume suddenly rose to her nose and she frowned.
"Do you wear my perfume, princess?", She asked confused and of course couldn't see how you blushed.
"As I said, I missed you", you muttered.
"Please don't be mad at me, i know its weird."
"No! I think its cute", Mina said quickly uhd pressed another kiss on your hair.
"And i'm damn proud of you, because you survived another day."

hey!!! guess who's done!!! it's me, knull anon!! also fair warning for a 3k word fic thag I just made in two part today!!
p.s., theres also a bonus at the end!!! dont miss it!!
_____
Driving past the beautiful buildings and apartments, you rested your elbow on the car handle where you almost laid your head against the window had it not been for Mercy. “_____, you can’t sleep here.”
You mumbled out something strange before you rested your head on the head of your seat. You really wanted to sleep, as you couldn’t feel your feet when you got into the car, but you knew that your bed would be a lot more comfortable in the long run.
You turned to look at Lex, and he was on the phone with someone. You didn’t even notice him, probably because he was whispering in an exasperated voice. You didn’t try to tune in, as he would probably notice either way, so instead you kept on looking out the window. You saw shops, restaurants, even other gala places like the one you were just at. You even saw the Lexcorp tower.
One thing you remember from your past life was that someone… Was it your mother or father? It was both, right? Anyway, either one would always take you on a night drive every month, usually on a Tuesday for some strange reason. You would usually listen to music on these drives, and the lights in the towns and cities were always so pretty. Even now, it was pretty to you, since there weren’t many people this late at night and the shops were still running. You looked up to one building noticing the bright lights that accompanied the sign. But your attention turned to the top of the building.
There seemed to be two people, one who was extremely tall, with two… sticks in his hands. And the other had a cape and a hoodie, who was shorter than the other man. This one also had a katana. You tried to get a better look, but the car started to move again, and you again tried to look back. But Mercy noticed.
“____, what are you looking at?” She asked, looking where you were watching. You looked back, but there was nothing there. “... I guess there was nothing there.” You whispered to yourself. “What?” Mercy asked. “Nothing. I thought I saw a person on the roof.”
Mercy didn’t say anything and she went back to looking around to make sure that the driver was going the way they were supposed to.
~~~~~
“Dick, what the hell?!” Damian whispered to his older brother. Currently, they were hiding behind a wall on the building you were looking at. Dick sighed before he said, “Well, you were there too, so don’t just put the blame on me!”
“I’m not tall and I don’t wear bright colors!”
“Oh really-” Dick then noticed that Damian was not in his normal yellow and red suit, but instead he was in a more stealthy color.
“The only thing I have is a bluebird on my chest!”
“A big blue bird-”
“Can you guys just… try to follow the car?”
Tim was at his breaking point: he was really at his breaking point. Damian was heard arguing with Dick for a few more seconds before Tim just decided to follow the car himself. Which somehow worked.
“Does anyone have a tracker on that thing?” Duke asked, also following the car. He wasn’t as tired as Tim, but he understood where he was coming from. “Yeah, I’ll send the location to you in just a sec.”
~~~~~
Driving up to the big gates, you felt really tired when you felt the car stop, but at least there weren't any paparazzi you had to run over. You got out of the car and started to walk with Mercy to the elevator, when you thought you heard something from the other side of the empty parking garage. You turned your head, only to see empty space and columns. You tried to look around more, but Mercy had started to lead you towards the elevator already.
Getting into the elevator, you stood with Mercy to listen to the almost silent beeps of the elevator getting higher into the building.
“Ah, I almost forgot, I’ll bring you your dinner to eat in the room. I understand your exhaustion.”
“Oh, what did the cook make?”
“Honey glazed ham with mashed potatoes and gravy.”
You remembered that from before you got here. Your mother would make that every day if you asked her to. You also started to notice how… nice mercy was being towards you. You remember when you first met her, she did not like you at all. In fact the only thing she would say is… well, nothing really. However, that was months ago. Now, she greets you and gives you small talk. She even gives you little presents if you’re good.
When the elevator chimed to your floor, and the doors opened, you were expecting more guards then you saw. Usually there were more than 5 there, but there was no one in the hallway. Even Mercy looked a little shocked. However, she just took your hand and led you through the halls back to your room, where she then opened your door and pointed to the drawers. “You should probably change into something more comfortable. You aren’t going anywhere for another couple weeks at least, so that's a good thing.”
You nodded and walked over to the dresser to change. You picked out a pair of pajamas that were extremely soft before you walked to the bathroom.
~~~~
Getting out of the bathroom you heard strange music coming from below you. It wasn’t ugly, or loud, just… rumblings of sad music. It sounded nice. You walked over to your overly plush bed and you crawled in, ignoring the strange feeling that was pooling in your mind. Something telling you to be alert, but you were too tired to care. Tossing and turning wasn’t helping you either. Finally you decided that it was getting unbearable. It was then you noticed that you never got a knock on the door from Mercy for your food. Groaning, you climbed out of bed only to notice how cold it felt. You slipped on some slippers that were also extremely soft and warm, before you walked to the door and tried to pull on the handle. It was locked. Of course it was. It's never open in the first place. You sighed and wondered where everyone went. You still felt the rumbling beneath you from the music, so you knew someone was down there, but you just didn’t know who.
Instead of freezing to death, however, you bundled yourself in many different blankets, most soft, fuzzy and warm. Waddling over to the bed you stumbled into your mattress and groaned. You wanted to just fall asleep, but something was keeping you awake. It was a nagging feeling like you just weren’t alone. You crawled your way so that you were leaning against your wall and you also had a view of the room to make sure that there wasn't anyone in there with you.
You were about to crawl back down but then, there was a noise at the door. It was unlocking, you thought, it was probably Mercy finally bringing you your food. However, when the door opened, it was not Mercy. In fact, it was a… boy. Probably a new servant, but still a boy.
He looked to be about your age, and he was wearing the usual uniform that the servants would wear. He was also carrying a tray.
Looking at you bundled up in almost all of your blankets, he gave you a small bow, as to not drop the food. You looked at him up and down, before you asked, “Who are you?”
He stood there, before he coughed a little, and said, “I’m the, uh, new butler assigned to bring you food.”
You gave him a look. “I thought Mercy was supposed to bring the food? Where is she?”
The boy looked a little surprised. “She’s, um, a little busy. With Luthor.”
You gave a nod before he brought the food to you. You unwrapped yourself from the blankets and leaned over to him a bit. He had a tray underneath his arm, and he brought it out so he could lay the food on your bed. He then placed both the tray to carry your food and your food itself onto your bed. Opening the cover, it revealed, just as Mercy had said, honey glazed ham and mashed potatoes and gravy. He gave you two cans of Arizona tea- Arizona tea?
You checked the labels again, surprised that Lex would even give this to you. Usually he gave you a better drink, and something “better”. You did miss the taste of Arizona tea, however, so you didn’t object to getting the tea. Eating your meal, the boy stayed with you while you ate. He didn’t seem to care about you for a minute, before he asked, “What's your name?”
You looked at him to see him close to the bed. You gulped down a piece of ham and said, “____. What's yours?”
“... Damian.”
“Oh, nice. So. When did they hire you?”
Damian did not answer you, but instead asked his own question. “When did you decide to join Lex Luthor?”
You gave him a look. “You must be new around here if you’re asking that.”
Finishing your ham, you moved to the mashed potatoes. “I don’t know why I’m here to be honest. I was taken here a few months ago. I was only found out by a colleague of his a few days ago when they saw me. Or was it a few weeks? I don’t know. I don’t have a calendar. I don’t even know what's going on in the world.” You laughed a little at the last part. However, you saw him start to ask something again.
But then, you had a bright idea. “Hey, speaking of which, what’s happening outside, around the world? People never tell me anything here.”
Damian gave you a look before saying, "Well, Wayne Enterprises is gaining more stock, and Lexcorp isn’t too happy about it."
Putting another piece of potatoes in your mouth, you laughed. "Lex was yelling about that yesterday. Talking about loss of money."
For the next 20 or so minutes, you talked with Damian and laughed with him about different things, and he would also tell you things about the world outside your luxurious penthouse.
Finally, after you finished your food, you put your dishes and trash on the food tray before you gave it to him. "Well. Thank you for keeping me company. Usually only Mercy is allowed to do that.” he nodded and took your tray before he placed it back on the nightstand next to you.
He gave you his hand, before asking, “Lex asked for you to be walked around tonight. He said you haven’t been out of the house for awhile.”
You gave him another look before telling him, “Damian, you do know I was at a gala today for at least 6 hours, right?”
His facade slipped then. You realized that when he stood tall, and he let his arms go to his sides instead of behind his back. At first, you thought he was going to attack you, but instead he pulled something out of his back pocket and he put it on. Then he took off his uniform and-
Oh, shit.
This was the kid you saw at the top of the building.
“I’m sure you can tell who I am by the look on your face. My name is Robin, and I’m here to take you away from here.”
~~~~~~
Sneaking past the large doors was easy enough, especially considering the fact that Damian knew what he was doing. He led you through the place like he had lived there, and before you knew it, you were almost to the parking garage. But when you both reached the elevator, instead of going down, he went up.
Giving him a look, he quickly explained. “People know you’re out: They think you’re alone, and since you don’t know of the rooftop area, they’re all gathered down there to get you.”
“How do you know that-”
“SHHH!” Damian gave you a look and turned to the left corridor that led to the large double doors that led to a lounge. He turned back to the elevator, and when he realized there wasn’t enough time for the elevator to come down, he quickly dragged you over to a large statue and hid you behind it along with himself.
You tried to listen but being pressed up against a statue was kind of difficult already. However, you did recognize the steps of the person walking. Pride, power- anger. Fast moving, loud, rage, it all sounded like Lex Luthor himself. And he sounded like he was carrying something.
Mercy was with him, you quickly realized, and she sounded a little muffled.
“-the little bitch got me right in the nose, and then I got knocked out, sir. He took one of the uniforms in the closet, he has black hair, he's short, and he doesn’t have his registry on him.”
“Tell that to the guards around the perimeter. Tell them that no one is going to leave this damn place until both ____ and that fucker are found.”
And with that, you heard someone reload a shotgun before heading into the elevator that was now there.
“Where do you think they’ll be?”
“She only knows the way to the parking garage, so we should look there first, sir. I don’t know how much the other one knows, but-”
When the elevator started to head down, Damian grabbed your arm and started to drag you towards… somewhere. Mercy was right, you had no idea where anything was. You only knew the way from the parking garage to your room. However, Damian seemed to know where to go.
“Uh, where are we going again?”
He turned back to you before gesturing to a large metal door. Stairs.
“We’re going to go up there and escape. We have to hurry, though: they will realize you aren’t in the parking garage.”
~~~~~
You were almost out of breath when you finally reached the rooftop. It felt like you were running for your life. It was so thrilling, and yet, the only thing keeping you going was freedom.
It wasn’t like you weren’t unappreciative of the things given to you by Lex, but you missed being able to walk around and be wherever without having 16 guards surrounding you.
Damian said something, but you didn’t hear it due to the blood pumping to your head: It sounded almost relaxing if it wasn’t increasing.
Dragging you around a bit, he whispered something into his comm, and again, you couldn’t hear it, but from the looks of it this entire thing was almost done.
Suddenly, something dropped seemingly from thin air. A rope.
Looking up, you saw a small, but fairly large ship floating right above you. Damian grabbed you by the waist and started to pull you up. You tried to help yourself, but not going anywhere really put a toll on your body, so he did most of the work. As you were halfway there, though, you heard a shot through the air, and turning around, you saw Lex holding a shotgun with multiple guards surrounding both you and Damian. Mercy was with Lex, and she looked pissed off, even with a bloody nose. Damian was also looking around. You heard something from his ear, along the lines of, “Plan B?” to which Damian responded, “Yeah, plan B.”
Suddenly, he cut the rope you both were hanging off of, and while falling, he got you over his shoulder and started to run towards an area where guards weren’t as plentiful. You were able to look up from your spot, but the only thing you saw was Lex reloading and Mercy yelling something. More guards started to chase the both of you, while Damian seemed to be choosing where to go. He suddenly changed directions, sprinting towards the edge of one building. Realizing what he was going to do, you asked, “That’s a 6 story drop, you know!”
He didn’t listen. He instead jumped and while you expected to die, you were glad that you were at least free of the strange man who kept you here. However, you landed on something: hard. It was the ship that tried to get you earlier!
Bringing you inside, you realized he must have jumped onto a platform. He brought you over to a table where he tried to see if you were injured, however, a gunshot made you both duck. Looking out of the closing platform, you saw Lex continuing to shoot at the ship, trying to take it down, but failing.
You turned back to the occupants of the ship itself and saw three more people besides Damian: One was the one who was standing with him on that rooftop, with two sticks at his sides, one who was tall and had a bright yellow suit on him, and one was at the front of the ship where it was hard to see anything.
The yellow suit guy came up to you first and offered his hand.
“Hi! My codename is Signal, but you can call me Duke. What’s your name?”
______
wow!! that was fun to write!!! I might write a third part but that yanpapa starro anon... ur on to something. Also I need to start on part 3 of "how symbiotes stole you from one another that led to that one trilogy about toxin playing uno with you to getting drugged by cletus kassady". yay! anyways, love you so much, with lots of love,
- knull anon
Bonus:
Lex was beyond pissed. His guards failed at the one thing they were supposed to be good at, and they failed. And it cost him his daughter, too. Mercy was the only thing keeping him from going on a rampage, telling him that the batkids probably had many hiding spots, that they manipulated you into going with them, all other things.
“I want you to find out where they took her and why. Oh, also, if you do find the one who took her?” Mercy nodded, awaiting orders. “I want him alive. I want to kill him myself.”
She nodded again and walked out of his office. As Lex started to walk back to his desk, he noticed there was still reminisce of glass on it. He looked at the broken window where Mercy said she had thrown the strange boy who had taken _____, before he climbed back up and knocked her out. Sighing, he let his hands curl into fists, before he grabbed the chair and threw it across the room, and then he flipped the table.
Rage was all that he could feel at the moment. No one knew of her existence: Who would’ve known? Who had met her and had such an interest that they had to take her from him? What happened-
Suddenly remembering the gala, Lex felt his face become hot and red. He was feeling more furious than he had ever been. He stormed over to one of the beautiful statues he owned in his office, before he pulled out another shotgun from the leg of the stone. He walked over to a different statue holding something in its hand, just in his reach, and picked it up. It was ammunition, and reloaded it so it was full. He stomped out of his office, ignoring glass that cut into his shoes.
“Bruce Wayne…” Luthor whispered to himself, getting his phone to call Mercy.
“I’m going to kill you.”
Oh, wow! You’re really something, Knull anon! This was exceptional! *chef’s kiss* 🥰😍💚💕💖
Omg it didn’t feel like a dream until I woke up 😭
So basically the dream started with angry and smiley trying to find each other right? But they had to like blah blah unimportant. They finally found each other in a tour and it was snowing outside also unimportant and they hugged each other and then they fell and everything got darker and they kept falling until they landed in this dark cell. And they heard laughter and they were each trying to hide behind the other anyways a lady stepped into the cell she said some things blah blah. I don’t remember how but me and my sister ended up in the exact same cell as them. And the cell was like apart of this bigger thingy idk what to call it cus it wasn’t a house but it was this prison? Ish except- I don’t wanna explain 🗿 anyways so smiley and angry told us that when the lady was talking to them she said thag we would stay here or some shit but somehow the words “cliche” was emphasized even tho she didn’t emphasize it herself. Anyways then SENKUUU from dr stone came into the cell too and apparently the people who brought him their nicknames him something that started with a B and said he was like tough or some shit 💀 if you watch dr stone he isnt but whatever. Anyways I guess we knew each other before so we were friends or something and somehow in the dream I could like idk tell I used to have a crush on him (it was unrequited 😔🔫) but anyways. We made it our priority to leave and stuff but the entire thingy was heavily guarded 😟 man tf did I do. The entire prison ish thingy wasn’t supposed to be like you did something bad you’re locked up but they took away like some of our memories and shit OH AND MY DAD WAS ONE OF THE GUARDS PLEASE and at one point he had one of those kitchen knife you use for your like food pointed at me and I had one pointed at him too but I don’t remember why I only remember I made it my goal to make him mad or something because why’re you locking your daughter up 🗿 anyways the one between isn’t important because lemme tell you WHYYY it was such a good dream. You know how I said the words Cliche was emphasized? Well a bunch more words were emphasized btw and like on one of the escape attempts we made it outside and it looked like a regular neighborhood parking lot and then someone of the guards were there right and I guess I wanted a y/n moment 🗿 because I was screaming at him and shit and then he mocked me
Anyways how the thing was supposed to work was the more emotion the brighter it would be outside (it was night but there were fireworks and shit) and the guard was mocking me on how it wasn’t that bright right. Right you listening? AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A KISSED SENKU GOD DAMMMM GO ME I think a ghost was possessing me or some shit CUS I CAN STILL FEEL REMEMBER HOW IT FELT but anyways the reason why as you can guess is because emotion and shit right. So if I kiss him there’s obviously gonna be some strong ass emotions 🙄 and he was confused at first but then realized and this wasn’t just a peck or some shit it was full on tongue LORD HAVE MERCY like Senku you sure you don’t like me 😕 HOLY SHIT MAYBE IM LONELY 😭 I don’t even know how to kiss with tongue but I guess I did in that dream anyways this shit was going on forever and apparently some of the boys from my school were there too cus one of them went “damn Lias gonna give the glawk glawk 300 tonight” and then I called them deformed monkeys 👨🏼 anyways when I tell you there was a bunch of fireworks. I hope that guard was mad. Shitting his pants. Fuming. Anyways we still got caught 😔 but that escape led to our next successful escape and my sister and Senku and the rest left before me like a few minutes before me. And it was supposed to be I left at 5 while they left at 4:57 when the alarm stopped and they wouldn’t be after me (because if o tried to run I’d be panting in 3 seconds) anyways they didn’t tell me what else to assume so I just ran but we got split up o have no idea where they are or if they even escaped and now I’m sad 🗿 but when I ran out it was my house and I was scared my dad would find me so I kept running to a bus station who gave like clothes and food and I met one of my classmates there and they told me where to go anyways I was on the bus and before I could contact them to see where they are (I wanna see you again Senku 😂😂😂😔) MY BROTHER WOKE ME UPPPPP) I hate it here I’m so fucking sad they could of been caught for all I know
And I was all alone 😔 didn’t even know where to go 😔 kinda want another kiss 😔
I'm all bundled up in bed. Waiting for my laundry to be done. I need a snack and a drink and im going to sleep with no alarm clock. Today wasn't horrible. Just long.
I didnt sleep great last night. I woke up with horrible pain in my kidney again. I eventually was able to fall back asleep but it was hard. I woke up at 8 and wore many layers. It would be warmer today but it would still be in the 40s.
I packed snacks and lunch and wandered outside. I decided to take the bus downtown. There is still a lot of snow on the ground. And I was lucky that the bus showed up very fast and I was right on time to work.
I was with Frank on constellation today. It was nice to see him but I hate how sad he is. He just got back from italy and he just wants to leave baltimore so bad. His plan is to go and not come back and i dont blame him. I think he put his 2 weeks in. I want the best for him. He's a good soul.
It was nice working with him though. We had a good switching off for inside and outside. I was able to listen to my podcasts basically all day. It was a fairly busy day but everyone was nice.
I brought my liberty furby and had fun taking pictures of her on the ship. I gave my gun drill talk twice. I was tired and cold but i had a fun day.
My sinuses bothered me on and off. James came and visited me before he went to his overnight. It was nice to see his sweet face.
He left once I went to do my second program. And then I went inside for a bit. We finished up the day with 5 final people. They were all really sweet. And asked good questions. And left at a good time.
Me and Frank were done putting things away and cleaning up and i was able to clock out at 5. Killer.
I walked to ihop and got fries and crepes. My crepes came out cold so i had them microwaved and they were really good then. It was a good dinner and my waitress was sweet.
I went upstairs from the IHOP to Marshall's. I got a new face wash and night cream because I am out! Since i dont have backups anymore. Amazing. I also got myself a bike bell. To many people standing in thr bike lane. Its shaped like a kitty.
I left and went to get the free bus home. I had to wait a little but that was okay. I ran into my friend Gaby on the bus. And thrn i was home. I grabbed some cash and ran back out to grt quarters from the grocery store and CVS. Since they wont give you many.
I got home and did my laundry. Got annoyed by how trashed the laundry room is. Came upstairs and started organizing.
I sorted my shoes. Got rid of 2 boots that I dont wear. Got everything sorted all nice in my trunk. Then i went through the big task of sorting my jewelry.
That took me a while. I had 5 boxes to go though. And it was a lot. I got a paper bag and i started by just dumping everything on the ground. Then I sorted by type. Then put anything that I didnt wear or like or have any sentimental value in the bag right away. Then i sorted the types by nice/cheap/handmade. Then i went through each group.
Once i was down to everytbing i wanted to keep i put all the sentimental stuff. And stuff i want to keep but dont wear all the time in the green jewelry box. And put all the stuff i wear all the time in the small red jewelry box. I alsonmoved all my necklaces to the branch in my room i have hanging on the wall. Its so much more pared down but its all stuff i love so I'm very pleased.
Once i went to put my clothes in the dryer I sorted the bag. So each type was in a small jar. So if i go to thag swap thing it would be easier for someone else to go through stuff.
Now im just chilling. Im going to go get my clothes. And eat a snack. And go to sleep. I have the whole day off tomorrow and no plans and im so so excited to not have to do anything. Not to say i wont do something or go somewhere. But i wont have to! So exciting.
I hope you all sleep great tonight. Stay warm out there.
i feel embarrassed to have had the slightest thought that you might be different from the other guys that had shown me interest in college. i will not personally confront you with how you made me feel, because you apparently like to call confrontational girls “crazy,” and also because me telling you anything will mean nothing if you are not in the right mindset to accept and change how you are. i also might be wrong and maybe i just happened to view every single thing in a distorted way.
thank you for having the courage to consistently ask me to hang out, whether it be for cooking a meal or to study — i truly did enjoy the moments we spent together. but i hope you learn someday that by doing so, you are setting an expectation for yourself. to whomever it is, if you act a certain way consistently for a while, that act will be associated as your norm, and people will expect you to act in such way continuously. so when you break that consistency all of the sudden, it is easily identifiable. especiallt in cases where feelings are involved, there also comes the emotional burden of having to understand the reason behind such sudden change. in this case, your consistent act of hitting me up every day changed all of the sudden, and I had a hard time wrapping my head around the cause of the change, usually end up questioning my own actions as the catalyst of the change.
of course, you have no obligation to live up to such expectation, even if it is an expectation that you set for yourself. but it was just personally a lot for me to handle emotionally, on-top of the personal problems that i was having at the time. i am not trying to blame you or make you feel bad about what you did; me being overwhelmed by my emotions is not your fault. i was the one who let myself get emotionally attached to you, and my own pre-existing problems were the ones that amplified the pain from the emotional consequences that resulted from your change of action. but i hope it is not too selfish of me to wish that you would understand why i felt such a way.
the day after your friend told me that you had feelings for me, preaching to me for good thirty mjnutes about how you would make the perfect boyfriend, your actions started to change. i of course have no clue what caused the change, or if that change really did happen right after that conversation i had with your friend for a matter of fact. but i dont think i am crazy to the extent where i would feel like you are different for no reason. ever since that day your friend had a talk with me, although we still spent a lot of time together, those long hours of hanging out became very stressful for me and the hours to follow after the hangouts were even more stressful, for the feeling i got was that you were less interested in me at the least. you started making uncertain plans, putting me and my time on hold for plans that mostly did not happen. you would set ambiguous plans for “tonight,” only to not contact me the detailed time and place of the plan that was supposed to happen “tonight” until i reached out multiple times to confirm whether it was happening or not (and most of the time, it did not happen and therefore i ended up wasting my time being embarrassingly excited to see you and spend time with you for plans that you were not that keen on making happen to begin with).
as embarrassing as it is to admit, yes, you were a big reason why i took 40 ibuprofen pills and went to the ER. your irresponsible words and sudden increasingly indifferent actions towards me after the day your best friend told me how you supposedly felt made me question my worth, even as a friend and a human being, and wonder for hours on what i could have possibly done wrong to cause this sudden shift in your action. again, my apologies if i sound like i’m blaming you for my actions — i am not. i would like to take full responsibility for feeling such way, thinking such way, and committing such actions. i was just disappointed and upset by your actions and it was just overwhelmingly burdensome for me to keep on thinking and stressing about your irresponsibility. already having been in a bad head space to begin with, the extreme stress from you was the one last factor i needed to pull the impulsive act of overdosing. during the couple days that you started to act differently, i could barely focus on anything else — even things as basic as studying, spending quality time with other people, or eating. i was unable to sleep properly for many nights as well, unable to fall asleep until the morning, which is even later than my already-late sleeping hours due to my insomnia, because i could not get my mind off of many things, with you being one of the more overpowering thoughts. i felt as though my brain was going to explode from all these thoughts and problems in life floating in my head, and decided to take the ibuprofen impulsively because it was nearby and i desperately was seeking for there to be peace in my mind at that moment. i just wanted to stop thinking for a while but i felt as though these thoughts were out of my control. i was not planning to kill myself, but i was ready for the worst. next time, even if its not regarding me, please do not tell your friend to tell your love interest that you like them if you are not certain about your feelings. others’ feelings are not objects that you can toy with and trash when you lose amusement in them. i might sound dramatic for saying all of this and committing such acts, but some people are more sensitive to emotions and get affected by them more easily and heavily than others like yourself. if its a feeling that goes away after 3 days of you telling your friend to go wingman you, then it is probably safe to assume thag it is a fleeting interest, not anything serious. your feelings are your responsibility. you are free to feel however way you want at any time, but once it starts affecting others involved in the situation, you have to know that you are responsible for that and actually be prepared to be responsible for it. your uncertain feelings can be torturous to others in ways that cause immense pain. if you cannot do anything about the pain the other person is going to be put through because of the resulting actions that seep out from your feelings, then it is probably not a good idea to let those feelings out in the first place.
even when i was at the hospital, you did not care much. even when i got out of hospital, you did not care much. you yet again made the empty promise to pick me up from the hospital, and an hour before my discharge you told me that you actually have class from 12 - 4 followed by a call at 4:30, and told me that we should just eat dinner together. you were so busy retracting your words and rescheduling me to fit your schedule that you did not even bother asking me on my wellbeing or anything regarding my trip to the hospital. you also continued to be inconsiderate with my time for rest of the day of my discharge, not letting me know when to come over for the very dinner that you set, and the very dinner that i asked you to let me know when i should come over for. keeping up with the recent trend that you have newly established, you did not respond to me when i literally asked you to let me know when to come over and continued to remain silent until i called you around normal dinner time asking if it was happening or not. you also had the audacity to call me “late” three minutes after the time you established only when i called to check if the dinner was happening. no, i did not flake on you for that dinner unintentionally because i fell asleep. i really was convinced on going over to cook dinner with you despite just coming out of hospital and despite you not even letting me know when to come for dinner. i ended up not going on purpose because my friend helped me come to my senses by letting me know that you told the same friend that was preaching you to me just couple days prior to this that you no longer had feelings for me.
i dont know what to think of you. i am still hurt. am i just boring? so boring that you lost interest just couple days, not even a week, after telling your friend to preach you to me? if your feelings faded that quickly, then that probably means you never really actually liked me that much and it hurts to think that as well. another thing that i could not get out of my mind, and still am having a hard time getting rid of, was the thought that maybe i am just not meant to be liked and/or loved by anyone. as i have told you before, i had gone through similar situations where boys would act as if they are very interested in me and then suddenly seemingly change their minds and act differently just when i decide to be more open and vulnerable to let them in. with all of this repetition, along with other factors of my life, i am continuing to feel as though maybe i am just not worthy of being loved and cared for by anybody, and it is quite unfortunate that you, who I thought genuinely cared about be, ended up participating in further developing and solidifying such a horrible feeling. please be very carefully about your emotions and confirm that you actually feel something significant about the other person before acting upon your so-called feelings. as i’ve numerously reiterated throughout, your actions could have a bigger impact than you imagine on the other person.
i get that in a two-person relationship, there are always two stories to be considered, and that it is important to hear your side of the story to properly interpret the situation. nonetheless, regardless of your side of the story and what possibly led you to make such decisions that output such actions, yes, you did hurt me in many different ways, and i am still hurt. i’m not sure if hearing your side of the story will ever change the emotions i was put through because of your actions. what you did is not a move to pull after telling someone to tell me that you like me, but it is also not something you should do to a friend. i am not asking you to take responsibility for all that has happened due to your emotional irresponsibility and disrespect for me and my time, but it would be nice if you could someday come to a realization that you really did fuck me up badly and empathize with what i had to go through due to your irresponsibility.
Today was a very good day. But I'm also very tired and my jaw hurts and every time I stand up my knee tries to buckle. Why. Unacceptable.
But regardless of how my body is failing me, today was pretty great. I woke up today at 8, answered some texts and slept for another hour. It was very much needed and was great. I got up and had breakfast. Chilled on the couch and got ready for work.
It was a nice morning. And soon enough it was time to go to work. It actually didnt take as long as normal so I was like 20 minutes early. But that was nice because I got to hug on James for a while. I went and got changed and came down to the desk for a bit. James was doing the firing so he went to get ready for that.
I played around on the computer, worked on my chapter. I expanded my secrions and eventually even got the conclusion started which is always very hard for me. But I'm making progress.
The firing was like 10 minutes earlu which should not have been a big deal. But a little after noon a woman came in and was really mad at me that the firing didnt happen exactly at noon. Like she wasnt yelling but it was a close thing. And like thats such a non complaint?? Barely anyone was onboard and James was trying to beat the rain that was coming. It was ridiculous abd it made my chest hurt with thag kind of fear and upset i get when im in a confrontation. I didnt like that at all.
But soon enough after that a woman asked why the spoons in the case had a point on it. And i didnt know! So i investigaited. From what I can gather spoons with a point are a french style that became popular in America in the 19th century and the point is so you know when to buy a new spoon! When it wears down from misuse and scrapping the bottom of the bowel you are supposed to grt a new one! Neat!
The rest of the day was pretty good. It started storming and I got to sit with James and just embroider and it was just so calm and good.
Ben, my photographer friend, asked me if I could help with a shoot and he would buy me dinner. So of course I said yes. At 330 I got changed, said goodbye to James, and went to meet Ben.
We had a fun filled afternoon. We had Panera. Talked about tattoos. Went to target. I got a candle and apple cider and cupcake mix. Because I haven't been in target in ages and I couldnt help myself. Im very excited for cider!
We headed over to the park and spent a couple hours working on his shoot. Honestly it was just beautiful. He had this idea with the flowers coming from his chest and just all the colors and textures of the pictures was so beautiful. I had a really good time. And I learned a little about flash photography. It was a good time. Poor Ben got very wet boots and squished all the way to the car.
I got to keep the leftover flowers and that was really nice! Perks!
I was only slightly sad because apparently I had said I was going to work at the museum tonight for their free night but i really reallu have no memory of this. So I feel really bad that they didnt have me there. They said it was covered and all good. But I feel like a jerk still. I'll apologize more tomorrow.
Ben took me home and I unpacked some stuff. I did my watercolor sketch for the week. I had some pie. I decided to bake tomorrow. And thats when I started not feeling so great. I went and put my velvet duvet on my bed. Since its officially fall. And I've been resting and watching the new Shane Dawson doc. Im going to go make some toast and get ready to sleep.
I hope you all sleep well tonight. Stay cozy!
