What is an “exchange”?

This is a fandom-based, ship-based gift exchange for the Batjokes ship in FOX’s Gotham. You will be assigned someone to make a gift for, and someone will be assigned to make a gift for you. DO NOT TELL ANYONE (ESPECIALLY YOUR GIFTEE) WHO YOU WERE ASSIGNED OR WHAT YOU WERE ASSIGNED. We want you to keep it a secret until posting! Half the fun of this gift exchange is the anticipation and surprise!

What kind of gifts are accepted?

Fanart, fanfic, moodboards, fanmixes, edits, and gifsets.

What kind of ratings are accepted?

All ratings accepted if you are 18 and over. If you are a minor, you will not be able to request/receive NSFW.

What's the schedule?

Sign-ups: June 2nd-June 29th

Assignments sent: June 30th-July 1st

Check-in #1: July 20-23rd

Introducing the Valentine’s Day Batjokes Event

Are you a creative person? Have you read too few comics? Do you like the idea of Batman and Joker putting their mouths together? If you’ve answered yes to these questions then we have the event for you!

Between now and February 13th, 11:59 pm EST, the Batjokes Discord Server is hosting a fanworks event! If you create a new batjokes fanworks piece and show us, we’ll throw your name in a virtual hat. On Valentine’s Day, we’ll draw a couple of names out of said hat and the random winners will get eGift Cards to Comixology.com, a digital comics distributor.

How does this work?

Every person who wants to enter has the option to submit new batjokes fanworks. Write a fanfiction, draw some fanart, make a fanvideo or fanmix. Everyone who enters gets the chance to win a prize. There is no judging, no skill level required, it’s all chance and for fun.

To submit, you can send us a link to this tumblr or in the discord server. You can also post your work to your own blog and tag it #BatjokesHolidayEvent or mention us. We’ll be collecting entries here for our followers to see.

Prizes will be sent in the form of an online gift card to an email address. No personal details needed! And then you can buy comics of your choice.

What are the requirements?

Entries must be submitted by Feb. 13th, 11:59 pm EST.

Everyone has one chance to win.

You are allowed to submit multiple entries however!

Your entry(s) must be of Batman/Joker.

Your entry(s) must be newly created for this event.

Fanfiction must be a minimum of 1,000 words.

Art must be above doodle or sketch effort level.

Videos must be at least 30 seconds long.

Fanmixes must include a custom album cover.

Just put effort and love into it, we won’t be judging your skills.

THEME: romance & happy endings!!!

It doesn’t need to be Valentine’s Day themed but romance or a happy ending is required. Dates, weddings, mornings after, fluff, cuddles, kindness, hurt/comfort, even a bit of angst is fine. But make us cry. Make us clutch our chests with the intensity. Rot our teeth with the gay sap.

And yes, smut/nsfw is a-OK.
