3, 4, 11, 15 and 17 from Soul Calibur ask list?
3. What is your favourite game?
I grew up with this series, but I can confidently say that out of all the Soul Calibur games I've played thus far (or at least the major ones), Soul Calibur 6 has to be my favourite. One of my favourite things about it is that it takes the story told from the original timeline and retells it in a way that is easy to follow. Not only do we have The Main Chronicle with Kilik, Maxi and Xianghua as major characters and Libra of Soul with our own character, Grøh, and Azwel as major characters, we also have a Soul Chronicle for every character, which is something I feel the other games should've done all along, but I don't blame Project Soul for not implementing them at the time.
I'm also never gonna forget that this is the game I showed ONE cutscene (specifically that one where The Conduit aka my character gets thrown around by Azwel and Grøh fights him then pushes him off the ledge) to my friends on Discord and I found out the next day they collectively bought the game, and now it's a running gag among my group that Kasta (who was originally my internet persona before incorporating them into a fully fledged character) couldn't gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss their way out of that situation.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
4. Who was the first character you played as?
I was really young when I played Soul Calibur 2 (my introduction to the series), like not even past the age of 5 young, so my memory is a bit foggy. However, I did remember my Mom playing alongside me, and we played as either Cassandra or Talim a lot...and Spawn too, since I had the Xbox version.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
11. What is your favourite mode?
Libra👏Of👏Soul👏baby!!!
A game mode that comes close has to be Chronicles of the Sword from 3.
I'm never passing up a chance to play a good story centred around a character I created.
I also spent a lot of time playing the Weapons Master mode from 2, I'm always excited to collect weapons and outfits from different regions.
It had a cute little story going on too, but I imagined it would have been a lot better if they introduced the Character Creation mechanic one instalment early.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
15. What is your favourite song?
DANCE OF THE ORACLE!
youtube
When you hear this song play, you know shit's gonna get intense real quick, and although there are other songs that show how intense things are gonna get, Dance of the Oracle is the kind of intense that feels PERSONAL, and this plays when you fight Viola in Quick Battles.
And when I heard this play in Amy's Soul Chronicle in her fight against Azwel...
Picture me pacing around the biggest room in my house like a chicken for hours repeating "oh my god" over and over again (I've been diagnosed as autistic early in my life and I am also being treated for my ADHD symptoms, so it takes a bit for me to recover fully from the intense emotions being built-up in my system, and my siblings like to tease me about looking like a chicken when I pace, but anyway).
Project Soul did not need to go THAT hard, but they did anyway and I am here for it!
It's also one of many links that connects Amy to Viola, and I loved that callback and attention to detail they implemented in Amy's story.
Honourable mention goes to any rendition of Healing Winds.
Personal favourite renditions are this:
youtube
Because I can imagine this being played in a scene where everybody's recovering from the final battle, and/or an emotional reunion or farewell happens.
And this:
youtube
Because it gives me 90s anime ending vibes (and it's funny that the series was introduced in the mid-90s, which makes it even better as I often implement the retro aesthetic in my art!)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
17: What is your favourite ending?
In general?
The Good Ending to Libra of Soul:
youtube
On it's own or on a surface level, it might not mean much.
But when you build-up to it knowing everything you've gone through in Libra of Soul, the battles you've fought and the people you've befriended, and getting to know who Grøh, the man who didn't give you a good first impression, is as a character, of course you would shed a tear or two when he turns back with that smile.
And god damn it did this man make me cry!
As for individual character endings, it's hard to say.
However, I would also say it's a tie between Ivy's ending from 4:
youtube
and Yoshimitsu's ending from 6:
youtube
I have a soft spot for characters who are willing to change themselves as people after being given a second chance at life and, for some of them, after the things they've pulled.
I'm sure there's plenty more the series has to offer, but these are the first that come to mind.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
That's all for this post! Thank you for the ask and have a lovely day/night!

My long, in depth meta/headcanon about Viola and her relationship with Raphael
I am basing this meta on what is in the artbook, what we see in sc5 gameplay, some newer information brought to light in sc6, and some of my own personal speculation. Now keep in mind if the game comes up with a way to tie up their relationship with a neat little bow that I find to be compelling I am more than welcome to be proven wrong but TL;DR: I find the possibility that Viola will ever want to go back to Raphael to range from anywhere between very unlikely to quite literally impossible.
Analysis beneath the cut
First let’s go over what we know from the artbook and from info collected in SC6.
Basically, Viola wakes up with no memories of who she is or where she came from. For a little while she traveled alone, telling fortunes to people in order to make money and that was largely how she got by, however she would very often find herself pissing someone off because they don’t like the fortune she gives them and so for that reason, for her own safety, she’s forced to live nomadically. She can’t stay in town for very long.
She meets Zwei, who has more or less sworn himself to protect her because in his eyes they are the same and people like them have to stick together so they travel together more, all the while evading Graf Dumas’s assassination attempts against them. Eventually they are taken in by Schwarzwind while outrunning these same assassins and they are given a more stable place to stay that will keep them out of harms way in exchange for becoming Schwarzwind mercenaries. This all happens in the 10+ years leading up to 1607, which is when Soul Calibur 5 takes place. Zwei kills Dumas but then Zwei himself is killed by Pyrrha. Dumas is dead and we figure out that Dumas is actually Raphael. Raphael wakes up with no memory of who he is, all he knows is the name “Amy” and he knows that he has to find her.
In the artbook, Viola is described as someone who is incapable of understanding the emotions of others, which the sole except to that being Zwei. She also makes it a point to stay as far away from people she knows will bring her trouble as she can.
In Soul Calibur 6 we learn that Azwel is the one behind Amy losing her memories and by extension her transformation into Viola. We also learn that Azwel is the one who brought Soul Edge’s existence to Raphael’s attention thus beginning this downward spiral into insanity.
Now let’s talk about SC5 gameplay.
Viola is barely in the storymode in Soul Calibur 5 and nothing that is said in the storymode in regards to her has anything to do with her relationship with Raphael. Raphael (AS Raphael) isn’t in the storymode at all but we do see him as Dumas. That is not important as Dumas in the storymode never has any interaction with Viola. However there are some things that the gameplay can tell us about their relationship based on how Viola and Raphael react to each other when made to battle. The first thing I would like to direct your attention to is the fact that while Raphael has a very distinct reaction to meeting Viola that only she can get out of him (when beginning the battle he says: “You vex me, woman! Who are you?”), Viola’s line when about to battle him is a generic line that most anyone can get out of her (”In the moon, I see everything.”) You will also notice that Raphael has way more special dialogue lines with Viola than she does with him. His quote when he gets a “time out” against him, his quote when he does certain moves against her, and his victory quote against her. The only quote that Viola has that is specific to Raphael and no one else is her victory quote (”The moon will swallow the sun, and it shall never rise again.”)
This quote here is important because it is another one of her cryptic omens, and there is no canon interpretation of it. However, I believe that the “moon” that she is speaking of here is referring to herself. And the “sun”, is referring to Amy. This would make sense because if she is speaking to Raphael specifically, it would make sense for the sun to mean Amy since, in a sense, Amy was like the sun in his life. The day he left Rouen with her could symbolize the day that she unwittingly brought him out of darkness. So then what does this quote mean overall? I believe that it means that where Amy once stood, now stands Viola. And that Viola is here to stay, Amy is never coming back.
We can also look at Raphael’s quotes though to paint a bigger picture of their dynamic. Raphael’s victory quote against her is “Stop looking into my soul, damn you!” And if we look at some of the unused lines listed on the various character wiki pages (specifically if we look at Viola’s, Hilde’s, and Zwei’s), we can see remnants of what I’m assuming were supposed to be a story about Viola approaching Dumas in secret, though this story never came to fruition because of the lack of time the game devs had to put SC5 out. But what this all points to is that Viola may be curious about it all. She may be curious about Raphael or about Dumas, if something happens that tips her off about his identity and his relationship to her. However it is important to note that that curiosity does not mean that Viola will want to go back to him once she finds out.
As I mentioned earlier, Viola canonically has an aversion to anyone who she can see as giving her potential problems. Viola also was never stated as being in search of her family, she merely just wants her memories back. Furthermore, after all this time, she is situated with Schwarzwind now, who more or less have become found family for her. Zwei is canonically the most important person in the world to her. And through unused lines with Hilde and through the only special dialogue we see Siegfried have (he says “you did it!! good job!!” if he loses against her via time out) we can see that she has somehow already opened up to the rest of Schwarzwind as well. She would already be content surrounded by a big group of people she trusts who offer her protection she wasn’t able to get anywhere else. This greatly contrasts Raphael’s storyline in Soul Calibur 5, where his only purpose is to find Amy again. It can be argued that he needs her, but it is clear that she doesn’t need him.
I would also like to reiterate that Raphael was Dumas, and Dumas had sent assassins after Viola and Zwei countless times. Not only that but Raphael’s actions and decisions far before he became malfested were what led up to Amy losing her memories and becoming Viola. Viola had lived her life up until this point, she’s essentially become a completely different person for better or for worse. Being as reserved, unforgiving, and untrusting as she is, I see no other route for her, if she finds out who Raphael is to her, than for her to be angry with him and to never want anything to do with him again. Most of what had happened to Amy is his fault, and then once Viola comes to fruition, there were many many times where she almost died by his hand.
Viola has been brought trauma after trauma because of Raphael. Realistically, that is hard for someone to bounce back from, knowing her father was the reason her life was ruined and then finding out it was her father who wanted her dead for so long. Especially when you are someone like Viola, who almost always sees situations from her own perspective as opposed to the perspective of others, I believe it is a hurdle too massive for her to get over.
And so what I personally believe will happen is that Viola will find a reason to seek Raphael out, she will want to know the truth, and then she will put Raphael behind her and move on. She is not Amy anymore, nor will she ever be Amy again. She will live out the rest of her days staying in contact with Schwarzwind and traveling with Zwei but she will not want anything to do with Raphael after she finds out the truth.
#⊀ ☾ ♥ Headcanon ☽ ⊁#im right argue with your mother#idk how azwel fits in yet but im guessing viola will confront him at some point#but even then i just cannot see her ever wanting to be around raphael anymore#lmao hows this for writing metas about a character who canonically has 3 lines#and this isnt even scratching the surface

2, 7 or 49? whichever you like best!! if none of those fit, let me know and i can send you some different prompts!!
thank you shannon! i went with 49 in the fluff category! it’s a bit angsty but has fluff at the end to make up for it.
as usual for writing stuff, it’s under the cut for length!
Teagan returned to the inn, nodding to to the innkeeper as she walked in. She kicked the snow of her boots and glanced around to see if anyone else was around.
"Any change?"
"Doctor came by earlier to check on him but he's still asleep," he explained. "She said not too worry too much though. It's just exhaustion, from what she can tell."
"Right..." That's what she said last time... but it's been three days. Teagan sighed. "Thank you for telling me. I'll go see how he is."
She quietly made her way to the back of the inn, straight to the room Grøh was recovering in. He was still unconscious when she walked in. To be expected, I suppose. Sitting at his bedside, Teagan looked at the bandages across his chest, where she'd struck him down. The worry that that did more damage that intended flared in her mind again. Soul Calibur can purify... but also eradicate malfested. What if... no. She stopped herself going down that line of thoughts. Now was a time for her usual optimism! Yes, Grøh was asleep and had been for days at this point. That was concerning. But it was an improvement from what he was before. He wasn't missing, last seen falling from a cliff with a sword in his gut nor was he acting like the mindless animal, driven insane by the Cursed Sword's influence. He should be okay. I need to relax. He'll wake up in his own time. She leaned forward and took his hand in hers, squeezing it gently.
"Please wake up soon, Grøh…"
Another sigh escaped her as she stood up, took another look at Grøh and then returned to her own room for the night. She silently prayed that nightmares wouldn't plague her that night. She was tired and needed the rest.
-
Another day, another attempt to fill the time with something productive. Teagan considered contacting Aval, in case there was anything that needed to be done nearby. Or perhaps word of an Astral Fissure, if there was one in the area. She decided not to, though. The odds of them providing anything useful that she could actually act on was slim and she didn't necessarily want to alert them to the fact that Grøh was alive just yet. His outsider status put a target on him and she wanted to make it clear what that'd do to her alliance with them before making them aware. As it stood, only Natalie and Dion could know that. Anyone else would probably try to hunt him down, unaware that he was under Teagan's protection.
Walking through the small town, she wrapped her arms around herself. Even with the fur-lined uniform Dion gave her, Teagan was not accustomed to the cold. How she made it through a blizzard, she'll never know.
She caught sight of the small barracks for the guards. There weren't many, only four on active duty about town and a few at the barracks, training. I haven't practiced at all since I dragged Grøh here. Maybe that'd be a good plan. It’d keep me occupied at least... Distracted. And it’d warm me up. Teagan made her way to the training yard and coughed loudly to make her presence know.
"Ahem!" There were three men, two that had just halted swinging their swords at training dummies and one sat on a bench under some shelter, presumably taking a break. They looked at her when they noticed her. "By any chance, would I be permitted to use these grounds to train? I fear I haven't been able to and don't want to lose my touch in a fight."
The man that was resting stood and welcomed her in with open arms. "Of course! We couldn't turn you away. After all, you were the warrior that finally managed to slay the Black Demon!"
"...Right." Teagan smiled awkwardly but didn't correct him. Probably best they don't know Grøh was the Black Demon... not a victim of him. Or at least, not a victim in their perception of it. "Thank you."
She made her way to one of the dummies to the far side, away from the others. She wasn't feeling much like socialising. She was far to distracted to hold a conversation with strangers.
Drawing her sword, she took a swing and immediately needed to pause, and coming to her stomach. Right. Still healing. Gotta be careful. Teagan made a step backwards, putting some distance between herself and the dummy and took a deep breath, considering how to accommodate for her injury.
"You okay there?" A different guard this time.
"Yeah. Still recovering from the fight with the Demon," she explained. "Means I need to put a bit more thought into how I move. That's all."
The last guard spoke up. "Wait didn't you return with a sword in your gut? There's no way you've healed enough for that to not cause you problems. Training with a wound like that is insane!"
"Or just dedicated," Teagan said with a smirk. "I'll be fine."
"You sound confidant." He looked rather baffled. "Well, don't say I didn't tell you so if you make that injury worse."
-
"What did I tell you?"
"Don't be physically active whilst I’m still healing."
The doctor frowned at her as she took a clean set of bandages out from her bag. "And you went and ignored my advice. Why?"
"I feel too... on edge," Teagan said. "I can't do what I want to do because Grøh is still unconscious and I refuse to leave him here. I need to be able to tell him what's happened since he was lost. But there's nothing to do. I hate being cooped up, not being able to do anything. I need to be active."
"Surely you've had to rest to recover from injury before," she said as she started to wrap the bandages around Teagan's midsection. "You must have done, considering some of the scars you have."
"Injuries haven't been so... disruptive before," she explained. "And if I have rested, it's been because I've been physically exhausted. But I'm not. I have loads of energy and too many thoughts and no where to expend them. It's...angering."
The doctor sighed. "It sounds to me like you'll just have to deal with it." "But I don't want to..."
"I Wouldn't have imagined that you'd be so childish about something like this." A small laugh escaped Teagan, ignoring the pain in her abdomen as she did. "What can I say? I'm full of surprises..."
"Listen..." Another sigh, more frustrated this time. "When I'm done rebandaging this, go back to the inn and just rest! If you need something to do, read a book or something."
I already tried that...
-
Teagan returned to the inn, as instructed, a hand on her stomach. It was earlier in the day than it had been yesterday. Once again, she looked to the innkeeper as she arrived.
"Still no change," he said, sighing sadly.
She nodded. "Thanks for checking."
She walked to his room once again, stopping at the small bookcase to grab something to read before settling into the armchair beside his bed. She opened the book she had taken out, a book of poetry, and attempted to read for a bit.
Teagan let her eyes look at each word carefully, trying to give her full attention to them but found herself several pages in, unable to recall any of what she'd just read. Frustrated, she threw the book the the small table beside her and put her head in her hands. I can't fucking focus. I'm far too distracted. Looking up slightly, her gaze lingered on Grøh. Teagan let out a sigh and leaned back in her seat.
"I wish you'd wake up," she said. She knew he probably couldn't hear her but right now, that didn't matter. "I want to know you're okay. That you're you again. I want to tell Dion I saved you like I promised I would. I want to tell you what's happened, that you don't need to let Azwel dictate your life anymore. And neither do I."
Grøh didn't move at all. He was still asleep.
"I just... want things to get moving again," Teagan mumbled. "But you matter too much to me, Grøh… I can't just leave you."
She grasped his hand and pressed a small kiss to it.
"So for now, I'm going to stay here, with you," she said. "Because right now, you’re the only thing that matters."
-
Rays of sun could be seen coming through the curtains when Grøh finally opened his eyes. His whole body ached, making moving feel difficult. He thought to try and get out of bed, make sense of his surroundings, find out where he was as a small bout of panic began to bubble in the back of his mind. But then he turned his head to the side and saw Teagan, fast asleep in an armchair beside him and he suddenly felt at ease.
He decided to stay put. If she was there, resting so peacefully, then they must've been okay. Whatever questions he had - where they were, what had happened since the battle in Athens - they could wait until she woke up. For now, he decided to enjoy what little peace they've somehow managed to find.
send me a writing prompt!! (prompt list | askbox)
#thank you for the prompt shannon!!!#teagan macaodha#the conduit#my writing#idk if this really feels like fluff since it's a lot of teagan mulling around not knowing what to do with herself#but this is what i came up with from the prompt so#i'm just going with it#ghostcity

muse notes: AMY SOREL // SC CANON // 15.
She is a perfect little ice queen. If growing up in the slums didn’t teach her to shield herself, then living on the run with Raphael certainly did. To outsiders and loved ones alike, she is a positively frigid kid who appears to merely tolerate and tease those she actually likes. The picture this paints is of an altogether mature and prim young lady, though it seems her father is fully capable of seeing past it -- even when she herself cannot. She has a heart. She’s just still figuring out how it works and who she should let into it.
Low key, she’s also a little feral. This kid is not afraid to start a fight and will absolutely go for the throat when permitted to cut loose. Amy is a little more cerebral than most feral teen stereotypes, but she still has a side of her that cannot be tempered by manners and the lessons Raphael insists she ought to have. She will still seek battles where she can find them, and I would not rule out that in some ways this is her asserting power over or getting even with the world. It’s another aspect of her upbringing and time spent with Raphael that does not easily wash out.
My one ‘They’re My Muse and I Will Project A Single Personal Trait on Them for Authenticity/Representation Reasons’ trait for Amy is about her leg injury. I’m going the root of either the attack itself or its healing left her with a more limited range of mobility in her left leg, and it can occasionally give out depending on her exertion level and, potentially, outside circumstances. It’s something she has learned to compensate for in battle, but still has impact on her elsewhere.
Actions really speak louder than words when it comes to her feelings towards Raphael. Much as she might call him a dummy, much as she might act indifferent at times, she has absolute faith in him. Trusting anyone goes against her nature, but he gave her a chance to really open up, and in a way that didn’t reduce her to weakness that the world could prey on. He’s helped her gain a sense of self and, ultimately, purpose. I think this is best seen in the scene where the thugs jump Amy and she shrugs it off as if it doesn’t matter, whereas Raphael argues that this isn’t a normal part of life. She could only believe that because she had seen through his example that there other ways -- Ways to heal, ways to exist besides survival. She’s as invested in his wellbeing as her own, and for reasons beyond him assuring hers.
Likewise, I think she would have liked to continue traveling with Raphael, learning the blade and having only one another, over the privileges and comforts of Dumas’ keep. She definitely feels lonelier once Raphael takes on responsibilities, when she is shuffled off to ‘improve her prospects,’ and especially as he begins to isolate himself in his studies. She’d have taken evenings bunched around a fire with him splitting their resources over eating fine meals off of delicate chinaware on her own if the choice was hers. Family > Privilege, in her honest opinion.
The girl is absolutely the street smarts to Raphael’s formal education. Where would they be without each other...
The kid is not interested in being polite or heterosexual. She is better than you. Yes, you. You personally. Good luck proving otherwise. You can beat her in battle but you can’t tear down her pride in any way that will last. The only person that has the power to make her feel weak is the person that would never even try.
I would personally love to see her adopted by friends her own age or thereabouts just to see how she takes it. It’d be like putting mittens on a cat. She cannot function like this. Affection? Disgusting. Don’t do it again. Anyone who sticks around in spite of her attitude about it might get her to maybe admit they’re not as awful as most people, which in Amy’s case is not damnation by faint praise.
Local precog murder baby is alarmingly good at foreshadowing. She’ll mention something offhand if its potential is brought up in conversation, and lo, it will happen. This is most often seen in facetious jokes traded between herself and either Raphael or Maelys. Due to this, they can easily be written off as coincidence. Otherwise, she tends to have strong gut feelings that others can accept as instinct rather than mysticism. God only knows what Azwel and his little soul ball will do on these impulses she has.
Shower her in hot chocolate. It’s decadent and what she deserves. We need to reward her for being a baby.
Mere seconds and centuries away from ‘okie dokie boomer’ing azwel. shut the hell your mouth nic cage.

Questions about Villainous Muses…
1. What would it have taken to prevent your muse from becoming a villain?
Raph started his late teens as a villain, having been molded by an uncaring environment with parents who dealt more with stately affairs than with him. It taught him not to trust nor care about others and it reflected in every move he made. Amy saving him had changed so much inside him that his heart grew three sizes that day. I think the start of spiraling back into villainy was when he poisoned Lord Dumas because he asked Raphael to send Amy away to an orphanage in order to be officially made his son. Raphael would have done anything for her and murdering the old man was so easy. And it tapped back into that darkness that lived in his heart and left him more susceptible to the influence of the sword. While his mind had to be utterly torn to shreds for his body to become the host for Soul Edge because Raph’s will was too strong, even in death, it was still able to poison his mind and Azwel was able to manipulate Raphael further. Everything from there went downhill. Had Azwel never outed Amy as a non-noble in front of Lord Dumas, Dumas would never have figured out Amy was not Raphael’s biological daughter and Raphael wouldn’t have felt compelled to kill him. He rather liked the old man and everyone in the citadel up until that point. Afterward, the only ones he showed any kindness to, or any regard at all were Amy and the governess Maelys.
2. Despite their villainy, does your muses subscribe to some sort of ethical/honor code that guides their behavior?
I think Raphael, for as heartless and cold as he is when at the peak of his evil, I don’t think he would kill a kid. Even in his destined fight with Talim he says time for your nap, and I choose to believe he incapacitated her, not killing her. I think Amy has a lot to do with that. She was his moral anchor, he strived to be a better person because he had another to care for. But outside of that? He was otherwise utterly reprehensible.
3. When was the last time your muse cried for someone else’s sake?
I think he was wracked emotionally about never being able to provide Amy with what she needed, and while he cried when he met her, it was more relief that she had helped him survive, so more for his sake than her’s. I think the first time he cried was when he returned home from his fight with Nightmare and after almost a month on death’s door and as his body malfested and his mind further rotted into darkness and madness, his first bit of clarity in that time was realizing Amy was gone and that he had failed her. He wept then for what her uncertain fate was and then the darkness took him completely.
4. Are there any ethical/moral lines your muse will not cross?
Again, he wouldn’t kill a child, but he would fight them if they tried to stop him (re: Talim). I mean listen, this guy was bent on causing utter chaos and mass death to stop the feuding nobles when he was stuck in his soul edge induced madness. And then he malfested the Romanian Valley of Wallachia out of grief for losing Amy (in my blended timeline, since we aren’t getting malfested Amy in the revised timeline) and had them finish decimating an army that tried to stop him. The man has very few lines he won’t cross.
5. Mun, you could have spent the time and effort you dedicate to your museIf roleplaying as a hero. Why did you decide to roleplay as a villain?
I truly truly love heroes, and anti-heroes too, but when I played MKDA (the konquest mode and later the tower) I thought that Frost was a good guy… and turned she wasn’t, but I’m okay with roleplaying a villain. I mean, it is kind of different from writing a muse with heroical intentions, perhaps my decision is more attached to the fact that I love the character but don’t care much about her moral decisions (and some of them worry me). Part of me enjoys writing her as the villain she is supposed to be in canon, and another part of me wishes for her to settle down and think clearer.
6. If questioned about their evil behavior, what excuse would your muse give to justify it?
He was sick on the idea that he could make a better world if he got rid of the warring nobles, no matter the body count that ensued. He thought he could justify it (a lot of it was also the sword needing more souls but he wouldn’t have realized it at the time). And then later as he wreaked havoc in Wallachia? It was all because he was suffering and inflicting his grief and anguish on those who lived in the valley below him. He spread his sickness. He was their plague.
7. Does your muse have the potential to be a loving parent? The question addresses their ability to feel a child’s emotional needs, not the muse’s ability to physically procreate.
I MEAN... WE ALREADY KNOW HE IS A DEEPLY DEVOTED DAD SO...
8. If your muse could feel the emotional pain of the people they hurt, would this deter their villainous behavior?
I don’t think he had the capacity to feel much beyond his own suffering. It blinded him to much else. I think there were potentially moments where his humanity would show through, but they were brief, fleeting.
9. What punishment does the mun think would be justifiable for the muse?
Considering he lost everything 3 times, each as a result of horrendous behavior and each behavior worse than the last... canon did a pretty good job. After SCIV he died and his mind was ripped asunder while his corpse was used as a vessel for the very sword that cursed him in the first place and set his life in ruin all three times (okay, i genuinely believe he was killed by siegfried with soul calibur not soul edge, but soul edge still got him in the end so stay with me). And so reclaiming his body with all the skills he had before but none of the memories except a strong need to find an unknown entity named Amy has been a continual punishment. Made worse as he unravels his own mystery and learns that he was once a good man... and once a very very very terrible one as well. Learning that this was who he was, and the painful flashes of memory and the debilitating pain that rips through his right arm (the one that became the nightmare arm), he continually faces his punishment. Canon really set up some good shit for this and then did nothing with it. And the fact that while his body was being used and going by the name of the man he poisoned all those years ago, Soul Edge had sent constant barrages of assassins after two who rebelled against him, Z.W.E.I. and Viola. Viola who was once Amy but no longer knows who she is either. So like yeah, he’s not having a good time post-resurrection. At all.

. . .
So, I went back in time for a bit and decided to really take a good hard look at the main Soul games up to this point.
Soul Blade/Soul Edge: ---Has some unforgettable music and remixes. ---The Edge Master Mode and weapon details were unforgettable. ---Despite not having full 8-way run like later games, the combat still had lots of depth to it. ---Loads of cheat code easter eggs you'd easily miss without GamFAQs and the Wiki. ---Side characters out the gamut.
Soul Calibur: ---Not my most memorable, since I played it back in the arcades and not on the Dreamcast. ---Was the first game in the series to really showcase weapon demonstrations, so it got the ball rolling in that regard. ---Interesting to note that early designs of characters were very much in an Anime style, both in terms of design and story presentation.
Soul Calibur II: ---Probably the oldest SC game that left a strong impression on me. Not "the strongest impression" but still memorable. The music especially stuck with me. ---Having different weapons again was awesome, as was being able to play as guest characters. ---Sound Test and Demonstrations were also memorable. ---Weapon Master Mode was tricky, as I recall, lots of weird missions. ---Getting to equip either Soul Calibur (the weapon) or Soul Edge was the highlight of this game... as was fighting Inferno. ---Extra outfits were cool too. ---First game in the series to have dual language English/Japanese audio!
Soul Calibur III: ---While I missed this game at the outset, I later finally got around to playing it, so now I can give a solid impression of what I think: ---Character fighting styles feel a lot more refined in this game for some reason, compared to a few later games, not perfect, but it was like the movelists were headed in a solid direction. ---This game was built for competitive play with the Championship Mode, and Olcadan's Tutorials (which are still applicable to this day, I might add!). ---Lots of mini-games, some fun (like Soul Smash), others annoying (Dancing Statue, ugh... Colossus battle). ---This game has a very choose-your-own adventure feel to it, but at the same time it's annoying when you mess up and make mistakes during quick-time sequences. ---I'm not sure what the point of the side-story Chronicles of the Sword is, as other than unlocking stuff and giving currency, all you really do is fight battles and level up equipment... It's not nearly as engaging as older Edge Master quests that actually connect with the main story. ---Lots of experimental weapon styles and guest fighters this time, but a lot of it feels like they didn't know where they were going with this game. Still fun to tinker with the extras and outfits though. ---I hope they give us an Abyss and Night Terror skins for SCVI!
Soul Calibur IV: ---This was the game I played almost exclusively once I got back in to the SC games, though after a while I lost interest in it because of the huge spike in difficulty. ---The missions are very hard, and the side characters feel very disjointed, even more so than SCIII characters did. ---Characters feel sluggish, animation/combat wise. ---If there is a highlight, there are two: Darth Vader and the way they rendered all the custom outfits this time around, even today, compared to later games the outfits look so well-rendered it's crazy (maybe it’s the wind effect). It's unfortunate they had to dial back the details of the outfits for customization. ---That said, SCIV may not be the best game in the series, but it is the best-looking visually when it comes to clothing/customization.
Soul Calibur V: ---Despite what people say about the characters (and lack of variety in the roster) the voice acting and music is actually pretty decent. ---This game felt a lot faster in terms of combat compared to previous games (even SCIII feels sluggish compared to this game). I enjoyed the faster pace of the fights in this game compared to other games. ---Lots of character movelist revisions, but much of it felt like it was still-in-progress (thankfully SCVI perfected a lot of that area). ---New characters were very interesting to play, but at the same time I think they lacked the same "spark" that older characters had, as they barely had any story to really go with. ---I'd say Zwei and Viola have the best stories in this game. ---For some random reason they put Devil Jin's style in this game??? ---Music is still some of the best I've heard from the series, despite everything else. ---Elysium is now my favorite character (you have to customize her to really appreciate her though).
Soul Calibur VI: ---WELL ROUNDED ROSTER, seriously! Probably the best roster since SCIII. ---FAST COMBAT RETURNS, AND REALLY GOOD MECHANICS. ---Despite what anyone says about Reversal Edge, it was a necessary evil to combat all the Impact Guarding nonsense. Get used to it, it's a good mechanic when you need it, especially against fast attackers. ---Has the most versatile customization menu in the series, all it needs is more weapons, stages, equipment parts, and a few more characters, and it will probably become flawless. ---Showcasing a character at different times of the day is helpful for getting the right clothing colors just right. ---Libra of Soul is not only fun as a quest mode and side story, but it's connected to the main story, and it's really good. And you can customize your weapons exactly how you want them this time! ---OLD MUSIC RETURNS... and you can listen to it while creating your characters... just what haven't they thought of??? ---The fatal hit/clothing destruction mechanics are actually quite satisfying once you learn how they work. There's even a menu that lets you preview how your character looks with their outfits busted, useful for designing characters perfectly. ---What I enjoy the most is the fact this game "cuts out all the unnecessary stuff" and actually uses character creation to create everything it needs for the story. ---As I said before, movelists feel perfected, I don't think they can get any better than they currently are. Even the harder characters feel "less of a chore" to play as compared to older games. ---Museum Mode is fun to read, and although it's not as scripted and interactive as older Museum mode is for SCIII, it's still informative and has plenty of info for fans of the series. ---Inferno feels like a Love-letter to all the Nightmare fans out there who loved all his gimmicks and wanted to play the best of everything he had to offer as a boss, symbolic of the Project Soul logo if you equip the Nightmare Armor! ---SCVI is probably the best of the series right now... worth getting every aspect of it.
Closing thoughts: ---I'd say I'm tied between SCIII and SCVI in terms of games I like the most... but I'm hoping SCVI starts to trump SCIV's visuals in terms of clothing and options. Here's hoping! ---Azwel feels like a more balance replacement for Algol, but I still want to see Soul Edge and Soul Calibur weapons return as equips for everyone. ---Having more malfested parts like Nightmare's arm as an equip would also be good (just in case you want to make monster characters). ---Having custom glow stuff like Tekken games have would also be cool. ---As a side note, it feels like they expanded Tira's bust size, I know they were inconsistent with other female characters like Sophitia and such, but it seems like they tweaked models a bit for fanservice or something. Oh well.

6, 7 and 29 for teagan?
hi shannon!!
6 - Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
Teagan is always willing to listen to advice from Grøh; she trusts him more than anyone and knows that he has her best interests at heart. She will still disagree with him sometimes though, usually because Grøh is a lot more cynical than she is which can really show itself in how he’d approach certain situations. She’ll also listen to most advice Zasalamel, Edge Master, Maxi, Dion or Natalie have to offer, them being her most trusted allies after Grøh.
Azwel attempted to advise her once. Whether he meant it genuinely or not, she didn’t care nor did she take too kindly to it. Teagan despises Azwel but his demeanour is to feign friendliness and compassion for the people around him, no matter where they stand. He claims to care for the human race in it’s entirety so he’ll offer his thoughts to people who want him dead, like Teagan. She just refuses to acknowledge it at all or if she does, it’s to dismiss it for whatever reason. The idea that he could possibly know what she should do or that he knows better than her is something she finds insulting. This is someone she considers to be her worst enemy, mind you. She will refuse to take his advice on principal even if it was actually good advice. On a more friendly level, whilst she does trust Mitsurugi and values his input, she’d almost never take his advice. Especially not on more delicate, social matters; they’re really not his strong suit.
7 - Describe them in three words. Now let them describe themselves in three words.
I would describe her as quiet, charismatic and thoughtful. She would describe herself as confident, withdrawn and directionless.
29 - What recurring dreams do they have?
Because of her ties to the Astral Chaos, Teagan very frequently has nightmares about Soul Edge and the actions of Nightmare (both Cervantes and Siegfried) which always leave her anxious, even as she gets used to them. These eventually develop into visions of her as a new Nightmare which panic her into wanting to sever her connection to the Astral Chaos, scared of what it’s influence might do to her.

If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?
100 𝕴𝖒𝖕𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖆𝖓𝖙 𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖗 𝕼𝖚𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘 | accepting [ ⚔ ]
Stop being such an idiot. Like really, you had such a nice situation going in Dumas’ manor. Yeah murdering him was a big no-no but you couldn’t get rid of Amy so I can let that one slide mostly... (still wrong but like you wouldn’t give her up and he was wrong to even suggest such a thing). But like after that you were set. All you had to do was ignore the sword. Just ignore it. But no. Azwel got into your head and you became obsessed and all that work you did to become a good person and a caring father and just you let an obsession (that may have been the sword getting into your brain) get the better of you. You have a second chance, fucking take it. Be there for Amy.
