Divine Journeys: From the Ghats of Varanasi to the Spiritual Heights of Rishikesh
Embarking on a mesmerizing journey, my brother and I took to the skies from Varanasi to New Delhi aboard a punctual SpiceJet flight, touching down in the capital at 11:30 pm on November 7th, 2023. The allure of the north beckoned, and we answered with an overnight road trip, arriving in Dehradun at dawn's first light. The Pearl Grand Hotel welcomed us with open arms for an early check-in, offering a much-needed respite.
As the day unfolded, we found ourselves at Dehradun's Buddha Temple, a sanctuary of tranquility and architectural marvel. Within its hallowed grounds, Devlok restaurant served as a haven for our culinary explorations, where lunch was not just a meal but an experience, surrounded by serenity. The temple, with its majestic stupa, offered a moment of spiritual connection, as we joined others in the meditative act of rotating the stupa.
Our journey then led us to Tapkeshwar Mahadev, a shrine that exudes a divine tranquility. The touch of the Shiva Linga in the cave and the visit to the Vaishnav Devi shrine were profound, spiritual encounters, enhanced by the enlightening conversation with a local Purohit.
Gucchu Pani, with its unique charm, presented a playful contrast. Walking on its flowing waters was an exhilarating experience, reminding us of nature's playful side. Mussoorie awaited next, where strolling along the Mall Road was like stepping into a storybook. A quick trek in the hills, followed by a delightful tea and bread butter treat, encapsulated the essence of this quaint hill station.
Returning to our hotel, a hearty dinner gave way to a night of rejuvenating sleep. Rishikesh greeted us the next morning, where the Mustache Luxuria hotel offered a luxurious retreat. An Ayurvedic massage there was a balm to the soul, preparing us for the spiritual experiences ahead.
The banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh, humming with the chants of 'Hare Krishna', offered a sanctuary of peace. The evening Ganga Aarti was a spectacle of devotion and light, while live music at the hotel and a brisk walk with my brother added layers to our rich tapestry of experiences.
The journey took a more adventurous turn with a bike ride to Neelkanth Mahadev, a pilgrimage that was both thrilling and divine. On our return, lunch at Parmarth Dham and a shopping spree added local flavor to our adventure. Our final stop at Haridwar, where a holy dip in the Ganges cleansed and rejuvenated us, was the perfect conclusion to a journey that was as much about discovering new places as it was about rediscovering ourselves.

THE 6 BEST ORGANIC HERBAL TEAS FOR 2021
One of humanity's most basic and relaxing pleasures might be a hot cup of tea. Certain herbs, such as chamomile, lavender, peppermint, oat flour, and lemon balm, are known for their calming and relaxing properties. If your main reason for a cup of tea is relaxation, try caffeine-free, organic herbal tea bags.
Some brands combine adaptogens into their teas to provide an extra dose of relaxation. Tulsi and ashwagandha are two common adaptogens for relaxation. While drinking a cup of tea is a great stress reliever, and the actual mix may have relaxing properties, keep in mind that your tea should also taste good enough to be consumed on its own, as too much additional sweetness might actually prevent relaxation.
Following Are the Best Organic Herbal Tea Bags for 2021
Stash Organic Chamomile :
It might be difficult to obtain high-quality tea at an affordable price. Stash Tea Company, fortunately, sells a box of 100 organic chamomile tea bags at a reasonable price. Stash's organic herbal tea bags are cultivated without the use of any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides, and they follow various regulations to ensure the highest quality tea.
Chamomile, one of the most well-known herbs for relaxing, has been used in traditional medicine to cure insomnia and create a relaxing effect. There hasn't been much study to back up chamomile's soothing benefits, but, in certain human and animal trials, chamomile has been proven to help with sleeplessness. So, Make a cup of chamomile tea before bed during your busy work sessions. However, you can buy organic herbal tea online.
Yogi Tea Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea :
Yogi Tea's Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea is one of the finest organic herbal teabags we've ever tried. This tea mixes lavender, chamomile, and lemon balm with an organic honey taste and a touch of stevia for a flowery and softly lemony sweet mixture.
Yogi Teas are certified organic and non-GMO. The company is committed to verifying the identity of its components. Using DNA analysis, sensory assessments, and chromatography techniques, they can verify the authenticity of each component they acquire. In addition to well-known calming herbs like chamomile and lavender, each tea bag contains lemon balm, a lesser-known but wonderfully relaxing herb.
Harney & Sons Organic Peppermint Tea :
Peppermint tea is a traditional calming option that serves as both a soothing and energizing beverage. This makes it a perfect option for a relaxing drink after meals or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up without a coffee fall.
Peppermint is widely known for its potential to alleviate irritable bowel syndrome problems. Furthermore, peppermint may aid in the relief of tension headaches.
Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night Extra :
What could be better than relaxing on the sofa with a calming, warm cup of tea? Our favorite pick for sleepy-time teas is Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Extra tea. This company, created by a famous herbalist, promises to deliver safe, restorative items.
Valerian Root is the most prevalent component in this tea, and it is well-known for its sleep-promoting and supportive properties. Unlike many other sleep-time teas on the market, each bag contains 450 milligrams of Valerian, the average amount analyzed in studies.
ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi Sleep :
Organic India's Organic Tulsi Sleep Tea is our top recommendation for a soothing tea combination. Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) has been revered as the "Queen of Herbs" for at least 5,000 years and is a staple in Ayurvedic therapy. Some research has been conducted to investigate the usage of Tulsi for some ailments and also found Tulsi to be beneficial in fighting stress.
Organic India's Organic Tulsi Sleep Tea also contains chamomile, peppermint, cardamom, and ashwagandha, in addition to Tulsi. Several research also indicates that ashwagandha is safer and more effective for stress and anxiety treatment. Organic India herbal tea bags are composed of unbleached, biodegradable fiber that is excellent for both you and the environment. In addition, this tea is gluten-free, organic, non-GMO tested, and Kosher.
Numi Chamomile Lemon Tea :
Numi's Chamomile Lemon Tea is both soothing and tasty. Each tea bag blends Egyptian chamomile blossoms and Australian lemon myrtle leaves to create a pleasant organic beverage with lingering serenity.
This tea is organic, and the ingredients are fair-trade certified. Chamomile tea can assist with various gastrointestinal issues, including gas, bloating, and overall discomfort.

Health Protocol for immune resiliency against transmission from Covid vaccine spike protein
I have put together a health protocol to protect against transmission of spike protein from Covid vaccine by building immunes system resiliency. The idea is, to be so resilient that even if we come in contact with a COVID affected person, our immune system is able to neutralise it. Gut and immune health are directly connected, one can say Gut Health = Immune Health and vice versa. Everyone is unique and has different constitutional predispositions. The information below has guidelines and everyone needs to apply their own common sense and understanding of their body as to what they can use and what they can't. If in doubt, it is best to consult a natural health practitioner. Enjoy reading. - Make raw onion and raw garlic a daily part of meals as both have high anti-viral, anti-parasitic properties. They help the body with fighting off and purging the spike protein and other particulates/toxins. They 'literally' burn so make sure you eat them with food and see if your stomach can handle them easily. - Fennel Tea as protection against spike protein transmission, video explaining this: https://www.bitchute.com/video/vLo4i3FVWAop/ - Pine Needle Tea as protection against spike protein transmission, article explaining this: https://ambassadorlove.wordpress.com/2021/05/06/pine-tea-possible-antidote-for-spike-protein-transmission/?fbclid=IwAR1_DVRRCRB4Rfdr00cErT_RURUOEPc3Zyx1DNRWnAuaPgK_ZPUidzgunSg - Video on how to harvest the right kind of pine needles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdTcmexTBH0 - Steam inhalation using essential oils of tea tree, rosemary, eucalyptus, especially after you come home from a crowded place or near a vaccination centre. This practice is also beneficial when done daily as it also promotes mental clarity and memory. - Frankincense essential oil also known as Boswellia is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories and immune boosters. It is used in Ayurvedic medicine. It can be used in a vaporiser or in steam inhalation. https://draxe.com/essential-oils/what-is-frankincense/ There are some good supplements available that contain Boswellia and Turmeric extract which can be used to boost the immune system and also in case of joint pain. However the use should be only for limited time or with gaps, again please check with a practitioner: https://nz.iherb.com/pr/California-Gold-Nutrition-Boswellia-Extract-Plus-Turmeric-Extract-250-mg-120-Veggie-Capsules/89210 - Ayurvedic Infusion: in a glass jar of water soak these - organic lemon slices with peel, organic orange slices, cut apple, cut fresh ginger and turmeric, crushed cardamom and cumin and any of these herbs- tulsi/holy basil, lemon balm, dandelion. Close the lid and soak overnight or 8 hours during the day, when ready, strain and drink. The infusion contains powerful essential oils from lemon and orange peel which have antimicrobial properties: https://draxe.com/essential-oils/lemon-essential-oil-uses-benefits/ Herbs and spices add various complex medicinal compounds that are beneficial for the digestive and immune system. The infusion tastes delicious. - Golden Milk - an amazing immune tonic, I am sharing my recipe: https://ayurveda-mandala.com/blog/golden-milk-gorgeousness-perfect-immune-tonic/ - Reishi and Chaga Mushrooms are amazing to build a strong immune system. Best to check with a homeopath or a homeopathic pharmacy. - 15-20 min Lymphasizing exercises such as - jumping on rebounder, brisk walking /light jog, jumping jacks - all will keep the lymph system moving and help detox the body. - Yogic breathing such as Kapaal Bhati and Anulom-Vilom Pranayam helps to expel toxins and increase oxygen flow to lungs and brain. - Direct sunlight on skin for 15 to 30 min regularly makes a huge difference to immune health and mental health so try to get that as much as possible. - Information and link below on Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, VitC, D and Zinc that have been used successfully in preventing or reducing Covid effects - Staying away, where possible, from going near Vaccination Centres as there is the most risk of coming in contact with transmission of spike protein from the vaccine. You regularly blog about it and someone have probably ask this but can you share your pain management routine? I know what works for you won't work for me but i want to get some idea on how to start my own.
No problem! I still want to make a video about this but I’m trying not to make it so long winded.
In the morning I usually spend 10-20 minutes on slow, long, deep stretching and restorative yoga and using my foam roller. Since most of my pain comes from my spinal problems, I do a routine similar to this 20 minute Gentle Yoga for Scoliosis by SarahBethYoga. I have a playlist full of other things like qi gong as well. Starting the morning with this practice (along with positive affirmations and sutras) really helps to prevent the pain (and depression) from kicking in faster, especially if I have a lot of computer work to do. Computer = pain and since I live on the computer, it can be a problem.
Now for my actual routine. I try to start it around 2pm every day, depending on my pain levels and schedule. If my pain is already really high by noon or I’ve got somewhere to be later, I’ll start earlier.
If I need to and have time, I’ll vape a little and rest in bed under the heated blanket. Focus on deep breathing. The pain makes me woozy and nauseous so this helps a lot. I might also do more yoga and foam rolling if my spine feels wacky.
Then, I set up in the bathroom. I spend 10-20 minutes on dry-brushing. Dry brushing really helps with circulation and drainage, which has a big impact on my fibro and nerve pain. It’s also incredibly relaxing for the nervous system and leaves you super soft. Here is my vlog on dry-brushing.
Then it’s time for a long epsom salt soak. I love the salt blends by Soothing Touch, an Ayurvedic brand that has been very important for my health. I have a few videos about them. While I soak I like to listen to either a guided meditation, a podcast, some nice music to get my creativity going, mantras, or slow vibrational music to help me calm down. Just depends on what I need. Here is my meditation music playlist, my guided meditation playlist, and mantras. I really recommend trying meditation in the bath. Water is really good for healing, especially from emotional traumas. I’ve also had some of my most a-ha moments during bath meditation.
If it’s a bad pain day, I’ll use a cayenne scrub on my most painful points and spend a very long time in the hot water. Make sure to bring tea or a water bottle and a cloth to help you cool off. Don’t push it if you feel like your body has had enough of the heat. Just do as long as you can handle. I often spend 45 mins to an hour just soaking and resting but there are days when even 20 minutes in the hot water wipes me out. I usually rest for a few minutes on the floor after soaking before I try to get up and do my skincare routine.
When I get out, I rub some Tiger Balm cream on the most painful areas. BE CAREFUL THOUGH. After soaking and using cayenne scrub, the skin will be extra sensitized so the balm is going to feel extra strong. I personally like it super strong to really neutralize the pain but it can be really intense. Use a tiny bit, or skip it and use an oil. As for the rest of my body, I usually like to use a sesame oil blend that I make. I add a ton of different oils like chili seed, rosemary, thyme, juniper, wintergreen, and like 15 or so more. Basically, a ton of oils that are good for inflammation, for helping bloodflow, and for helping soothe nerve pain. Jade Bloom is a good resource for oils. I would just do research on your specific symptoms and which oils help those. If you want to just use premade ones, Soothing Touch also has some excellent oil blends. Check that link I put up before to see their other products that I recommend.
With my body nice and oily, I use a trigger point tool. Mine’s a fascia blaster, which is made for cellulite but I don’t really trust it for that use and wanted it just for healing my body. I use it to dig into not only my trigger points but the crunchy calcium deposits on my neck and shoulders. It really helps to relax my muscles.
Another part of my routine this time of the day if I have the day off is to eat edibles and vape as needed. I know that’s not available to everyone but it’s something that is a huge part of my pain and depression management. I also recommend Formula 303 herbal muscle relaxants.
If needed I rest again afterward, covered in icepacks. This is important after doing the fascia work to help speed up healing and reduce inflammation. Helps the nerve pain a lot.
So in list form: Rest in bed/more slow yogaDry-brushSalt soak with cayenne scrubSelf-massage with Tiger Balm and oilsTrigger point workEdibles/vapingRest more after if needed with ice packs
This whole process can take many hours if the pain is really wiping me out. Sometimes I start this process at 2pm and I’m not able to sit up again to do anything until 6 or 7. On a good day I’m done by 4pm.
Keep in mind that pain can put our bodies in fight or flight. So not only is managing the pain itself important, but managing the RESPONSE to the pain is too. Which is why doing things to relax the nervous system is so important. A loving practice of daily dry-brushing, self massage, and even deep breathing can make a huge difference. I would also look into restorative herbal teas for your adrenal glands such as licorice. I also really like to put holy basil tincture in my tea. Really zaps the stress.
I hope this helped. May the spoons be with you!

Aromatherapy for Prosperity
By shirleytwofeathers
Pure Essential Oils have used in aromatherapy for thousands of years to attract riches and wealth for body, mind, spirit and emotions. The traditional use of aromatic oils to attract prosperity into one’s life has been practised for thousands of years by some of the world’s most renowned cultures.
Aromatic wealth attraction formulas have often been inherited through one’s family lineage as a practice for passing on a wealthy family’s prosperity consciousness and to ensure the family’s continued attraction of riches.
Many of these Prosperity Oils are considered “holy” oils and have been used traditionally in sacred healing rituals, as well as ceremonial rites of passage and purification, to prevent and cure disease and for wealth attraction.
Prosperity oils are mood enhancers and aphrodisiacs which promote good feelings and an aura of attraction. As you know when you feel good, good things seem to naturally come your way. Like a magnet the Prosperity Oils work to help you attract wealth and abundance into all areas of your life.
Prosperity oils work on all four levels of being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Their application either alone or in a synergy blend amplifies your electro-magnetic energy field and aligns you with the ‘sattva’ higher frequency energies of prosperity consciousness for wealth attraction.
Many of the Prosperity Oils are Spice Oils known for their strong curative properties. Throughout history health has been considered the most valuable commodity one could have. So any means to ensure continued “good” health was always highly valued and vigorously sought out.
Additionally for centuries Spice oils from the orient were traded as valuable commodities on the world market and considered more valuable than gold.
The Prosperity Oils are known for their powerful resonance with the frequency of wealth and reputed to attract wealth and abundance to those who use them.
You can use the recommended pure essential oil alone or in a synergy blend with other prosperity oils to enhance their results and increase your prosperity consciousness for wealth attraction.
Key Prosperity Oils
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum)
It has a long tradition of use, having been produced in Sri Lanka for more than 2,000 years. Historically cinnamon oil was used in the Middle East and Orient for combating viruses and infectious disease. Cinnamon Oil dates back to the Egyptians! The essential oil promotes a healthy immune response, and may help maintain a healthy lifestyle regimen. Brings feelings of joy.
Caution: Cinnamon oil is suitable for skin application in weak dilutions of less than 1%.
Note: Cinnamon oil is made two ways, one with the bark and the other with the leaves. For the purposes of prosperity, I don’t think it matters which you choose. If you are using it medicinally, it might be good to do some research.
Cinnamon is said to attract wealth by transforming our core beliefs of limitation into abundance. It will release anger, frustration and abuse that we have buried that deal with our dependence and addictions.
It is good for those of us who really want to look at and change their belief systems or their old patterns. This will help those who need to release memories of physical abuse (including slavery) whether it is this life or a past life.
Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)
Myrrh is a very powerful antioxidant making it supportive for healthy skin. It opens our mind to receiving gifts. The benefits of Myrrh include the spiritual and emotional as well. Myrrh is very spiritual oil and has been used in religious ceremonies and rituals for over 5000 years!
Traditionally myrrh oil has been used for enhancing spiritual and emotional well-being. It is an excellent aid to the healthy functioning of the limbic (emotional centre) of your brain.
In the Christian tradition, Myrrh was given to Baby Jesus along with Frankincense and Gold. So, Myrrh and Frankincense were considered luxury items used by the wealthy and highly regarded next to gold.
Myrrh releases fears, difficult experiences as it relates to us or the world. It asks us to be more accepting, trusting and non-judgemental of ourselves.
When we can love and trust ourselves more, than we don’t attract situations that are as painful and we learn to integrate our physical with our spiritual being.
Because this oil opens the heart chakra and is uplifting to the mind, it can relieve stress and relax the body. Place on the heart to release this patterning and embrace relationships (self and others).
Spikenard (Nardostachys Jatamansi)
A valued oil since ancient times spikenard has often been used in anointing rituals and religious ceremonies. It was the foot balm Mary Magdalene used to anoint her master’s feet in the New Testament of the Bible. For centuries, Spikenard has been used traditionally in Ayurvedic health practices native to India, and was historically used to anoint those of high honour.
One of the greatest benefits of Spikenard oil is its uplifting aroma that can help promote feelings of relaxation and calmness. Throughout history, Spikenard has commonly been used to manage and uplift mood, or to help promote relaxation. Today, Spikenard oil can be helpful for promoting calm, relaxing, or uplifting feelings when used topically or aromatically.
Not only is Spikenard oil known for its uplifting properties, but it is also a very grounding oil. The grounding properties of Spikenard essential oil make it a popular choice for aromatherapy and meditation. The woody, musty scent of Spikenard oil makes it a useful oil for aromatherapy and massage, while the grounding properties make it useful for promoting relaxation during meditation.
Spikenard oil can be applied topically to help promote calm or relaxing feelings. When you want to experience the calming benefits of Spikenard essential oil, apply one or two drops to the temples or back of the neck. Before applying Spikenard to the skin, consider diluting the oil with Coconut Oil to help minimise skin sensitivity.
Sandalwood (Santalum Album)
A known aphrodisiac sandalwood oil is used extensively in Indian temples, as well as in churches around the world in religious ceremonies for worshipping the divine.
Used for centuries in Hindu, Buddhist, and ancient Egyptian ceremonies, burning sandalwood was thought to relieve depression and restlessness, promoting spirituality and inner peace. The fragrance is still used today in funeral rites to instil comfort and acceptance among mourners.
Paradoxically, sandalwood oil has also been shown to be both soothing and stimulating. When used topically, sandalwood oil was found to have relaxant properties without causing drowsiness, according to research published in 2004.
Ginger (Zingiber Officinale)
In the first century AD, ginger was exported to Europe via India as part of the lucrative spice trade. Ginger was used extensively by the Romans.
Ginger is one of those herbs that has a long history in East Asia for bringing luck. The oil can be rubbed on money, helping you to remember not to “burn” through it – the heat of the oil is thought to counter the ‘fire’ you feel to spend!
Supportive of the digestive system, ginger is commonly used to soothe, comfort, and balance digestive discomfort. Emotionally it gives us courage.
Did you know that the West African women in Senegal weave belts of ginger to arouse sexual interest in their partners? Wow, that’s interesting!
Its spicy and sweet aroma makes one physically energised.
The benefits of ginger are not lacking in the spiritual side of things either.
As a matter of fact, Ginger addresses “lack” and therefore would assist those who need self-confidence and motivation to put plans and ideas into the physical realm. In other words, it allows us to “digest” parts of ourselves that need to be changed so we can better serve ourselves.
We know that ginger has an aphrodisiac effect on the body as well. Therefore, it opens the root and sacral chakras and will release suppressed sexual energy.
Spruce (Picea mariana)
Spruce oil is physically grounding and relaxing. Has a sweet and earthy scent that is fresh and fruity. It is also said to release blocks to prosperity and wealth.
Native Americans used Spruce for its purifying and cleansing effect as well as for medicinal, spiritual and practical reasons. They used it for protection and capturing the universal energy here on earth the earth plane.
Spruce essential oil will ground and balance the body and release emotional blocks.
By the way, any of the oils that are from trees (Western Red Cedar, Palo Santo, Cedarwood, Frankincense, etc) will provide stabilisation, grounding and security to our being, physically and emotionally.
Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica)
This intense, deeply sensual scent goes hand in hand with attracting power to your life. It’s also a scent commonly associated with beauty and prosperity, likely due to the sensual and grounding notes in the aroma.
It’s also often considered a protective essential oil, so not only could it attract prosperity to you, but it can also protect you from misery and misfortune.
Wear just one drop in a diffuser around your neck, or anoint a single drop over your heart to help bring out your inner beauty and strength. You don’t want to overdo this powerful scent, and a single drop is plenty to help you attract the prosperity you desire into your life!
If you are feeling in any way tense, stressed or depressed try inhaling cedarwood essential oil from the bottle or put a few drops on a handkerchief and breathe it in whenever you feel the need. You can also get all the benefits of its aromatic properties by diffusing cedarwood essential oil in a diffuser machine.
Patchouli (Pogostemon Cablin)
This oil has been used to relax the mind and clarify thoughts for hundreds of years. Originating in southeast Asia patchouli has been used for thousands of years. The early European traders were reported to have exchanged one pound of patchouli for a pound of gold.
An earthy, intense oil that helps inspire happiness and optimism. It can help sharpen your wits. It reestablishes mental and emotional equilibrium and energises the mind.
Patchouli Essential Oil is primarily used to align the heart chakra with the root and sacral chakras. It does this by releasing obsessions, insecurities and jealousies and enhancing our desire to live a fuller life.
It also grounds the body and asks us to stay in the present moment rather than stressing about things that are beyond our control.
Much like bergamot, patchouli essential oil often has connections with attracting money. Supposedly, it’s also an oil that has the ability to attract love into your life… so you may want to mix up a little into your own custom perfume blend before you go out for the night!
Bergamot ( Citrus bergamia )
Bergamot’s effects are uplifting as well as relaxing. It opens up the heart chakra, and allows you to release your need to be in complete control of a given situation. Does it really bring you success and money? Maybe – although it’s probably more related to your own confidence and uplifted state of mind!
Diffuse bergamot oil to bring yourself success and money – or add a drop to your wallet, while envisioning your wallet filling up with cash!
Another way is to anoint yourself with it to bring success and money – meaning add a drop to your finger tip, then rub it on each wrist, and a little bit on your forehead.
Sweet Orange (Citrus Sinensis)
Orange Essential Oil is rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene and aids in maintaining normal cellular regeneration. Also has calming effects and may be used for feelings of peace.
Mentioned in Chinese literature in 314 BC oranges make a wonderful nerve tonic. A happy oil with the scent of sweet oranges promotes relief of physical and emotional tension.
Caution: May cause photosensitivity. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight after skin application for up to 12 hours.
Its fresh and citrus aroma is very uplifting to the body and mind.
Orange Essential Oil uses include the spiritual and emotional realm as well. Orange releases self judgement, obsessions and fears so the emotional body can be restored and balanced. When we release these negative and highly charged emotions we can see clearly again and make better choices for our life.
It will lend support by uplifting and promoting a positive attitude while calming our spirit. This oil will help those who tend to overwork, strive for perfection, but get aggravated quickly by intolerances or mistakes.
Galbanum (Ferula Galbaniflua)
Traditionally galbanum has been used for making incense and is mentioned in the Book of Exodus 30:34 for this purpose. The ancient Egyptians highly favoured galbanum as a holy plant aromatic and the reputed “green” incense of ancient Egypt is thought to be galbanum.
This magickal essential oil empowers positive sacrifice in the sense of giving up in order to change for the better. It also assists in one’s exploration of the self, but what it reveals can be shocking. This scent has traditionally been used for acquiring magickal skills such as divination, contact with angels, and communicating with the dead.
Frankincense (Boswellia Frereana)
One of the ‘Holy’ oils from ancient times when it was considered more valuable than gold, frankincense oil has a powerful and enticing sweet, balsamic and warm wood aroma that sweetly sparkles with freshness and a hint of spice and incense-like overtones. It is uplifting and centring.
This precious oil was found in King Tut’s tomb in Ancient Egypt.
Frankincense Essential Oil helps to uplift mood and brings feelings of relaxation. It may help smooth the appearance of healthy-looking skin, and is useful in combination with massage after exercise.
Frankincense oil has been used to awaken our spiritual awareness and connect with spirit for 5000 years or more. It will help us release parts of our ego which hold us back from connecting with our soul, as well as feelings of unworthiness and insecurity.
Once we are able to connect with our spiritual side, we can embrace our true purpose in the world and become more spiritually driven rather than ego driven.
Use Frankincense during meditation to connect with spirit and stay centred in meditation.
Clove (Eugenia Caryophyllata)
Clove bud oil shares similar antiseptic and anti-microbial qualities as cinnamon leaf oil. Use clove oil to help restore the loss of your inner drive and motivation. Its hot and spicy aroma brings clarity!
Caution: Clove oil is known to irritate the skin and mucous membranes and generally not for use in skin except in extremely weak dilutions of less than 1%. Please respect the power inherent in clove oil and use with extreme care.
Promotes a healthy immune response, and may support overall wellness. An important ingredient in Young Living’s Thieves blend, its principal constituent is eugenol.
Clove oil uses includes the spiritual realm as well. Clove is said to provide insight into our emotional discomfort.
How many times have something has happened only to find out later there actually was a hidden meaning behind it?
For me, all the time! But it was about eight years ago that I realised that every time I really just didn’t want to go to work that day, I would manifest something that would self sabotage!
We all have days like that, but that was how I learned to “take a day off”. I wasn’t honouring that I needed a day off and needed to just take it on my own! That taught me how to be nourishing to myself.
So, clove can help us in this respect. It helps us reflect on the causes of our sabotage; and assists us in releasing them because they no longer serve us!

Pre-Holi
As toxic Holi colors tend to penetrate deep inside the skin’s epidermal (outermost) layer, it is important to create a natural barrier between your skin/hair and such potential allergens. Pre-Holi oiling is a tried-and-tested method of doing the same:
Hair Care
Chemical-laden colors can trigger dandruff, hair fall, frizziness, and split ends, which can be remedied with the help of organic hair oils. Cold pressed virgin Coconut Oil is a wonderful choice, as it prevents colors from damaging the hair cuticle & cortex and combats frizziness. Take 1-2 tablespoons of organic virgin Coconut Oil and massage on to your scalp & hair thoroughly, the night before Holi. You can also choose organic, cold-pressed anti-hair fall oils containing natural ingredients, such as Bhringraj, Neem, Brahmi, and Hibiscus to prevent acute hair damage.
Skin Care
Pre-Holi organic skincare is absolutely crucial if you wish to avoid rashes, allergies, breakouts, and damaged skin. Here’s how you can do so:
Face & Body: Natural oils, including organic Castor Oil, Almond Oil, and Olive Oil can be applied all over the face and body before heading out. Most of these organic body oils contain Vitamin E, which provides much-needed nourishment to the skin and acts as a protective barrier, preventing colors from sticking to your body. Opt for oils that are free of parabens, mineral oils, and synthetic fragrances.
Lips: Lips are susceptible to retaining colors that do not wash off easily. Apply a thick coat of organic Castor Oil before heading out; you could also apply an organic lip balm to protect your lips.
Nails: Colors tend to penetrate the cuticles, resulting in tough, yellowish stains. To prevent staining, one can dip their nails in a mixture of Coconut and Castor Oil, or apply the same with the help of a nail paint brush.
Post-Holi
Now that you are drenched in the exuberance of vibrant hues, you are faced with the task of scrubbing the stubborn colors off. This is where the importance of an organic post-Holi regime comes in:
Hair Care
Rinsing or washing hair with harsh, chemical-laden shampoos after playing Holi can worsen damage and hair breakage. Use a mild herbal shampoo to wash off the colors; follow up with a natural serum, such as Aloe Vera Gel to retain softness and lock moisture in.
Skin Care
Most individuals tend to scrub their skin with harsh soaps to rub off colors - this can lead to severe skin abrasions and allergies. The harsh ingredients of soaps result in dryness and itching. Instead, one should use a gentle organic body wash enriched with natural ingredients to rinse off chemicals and color stains. Opt for a pH balanced, biodegradable formula with the ability to cleanse skin thoroughly with the help of a rich, creamy lather. Use a soft loofah for the purpose of exfoliation and wash off with lukewarm water. As soon as you step out of the shower, make sure to hydrate your skin with an organic body lotion. This will not only keep your skin soft but also preserve nourishment and elasticity. While children can also adopt the same organic holi-care regime, make sure that they use organic products that are suitable for their sensitive skin. Ideally, babies should be kept away from harsh colors - however, the Indian tradition of applying a tika with gulaal (natural colors) on a baby’s forehead persists. In this case, make sure to cleanse the area gently with organic Coconut Oil with the help of a soft cotton ball. It's best to give your baby an organic oil massage before the rituals begin. This shall shield their skin against the changing weather as well.
Apart from following this organic regime, make sure to exercise caution while playing with colors. Choose herbal, light colors over chemically-laden hues like deep blue & black. It's best if you could invest some time in making DIY eco-friendly colors at home using sandalwood powder, rose powder and the like. Avoid playing in case of rashes/skin irritation, and avoid scrubbing the skin with a rough pumice stone. In case color makes its way into your eyes, consult a doctor immediately. Make sure to also follow an Ayurvedic diet during this season, as the constant fluctuations in weather can cause various illnesses.
