Tw: lots of talk about na’vi sacrifices, blood, bloodletting, blood drinking and cannibalism mentioned, drowning, rebirth, death, child birth, meat.
A/N: I made a part two, to give more info on the Ay'Amhul clan. Some things I forgot to add in the first headcanon. Also some things I searched up the slanted words are things that I copied and pasted from a website. As well as the website if not.
P.s. I also let out some things I found out about what Mayans did to children, because it was pretty disturbing and I didn't want to burn you guys eyes with that knowledge.

When it comes to the birth of a baby, the Tsahik chooses a Na'vi to sacrifice. They're not just picked, the Tsahik picks either a specific type of na'vi in the clan. Once the baby is born, the na'vi is sacrificed by the Tsahik.
It is believed since Eywa has given them a life, then they must return a life. With the blood of the sacrifice it is painted on the baby, since the color red represents death and rebirth.
They also believed the blood was a kind of life-force, so that the baby could live a longer life or at least live long enough. The baby also receive a bead to their song cord.
Some Na'vi are raised for later becoming a sacrifice, the reason is because they believe that they had a dept with Eywa, and in order to pay that dept was by sacrificing since they believed that life continued due to the exchange of blood.
As for the sacrifices, if the heart is torn out of the chest and raised up to the sun it's to resemble that the sun will rise up in the morning. If the sacrifice is performed by being thrown into a volcano or being thrown into a body of water for one to drown, it resembles that it'll rain for the Maize to grow.
Besides sacrifices they also practice Bloodletting, since it is said that Blood is a life-source and a kind of nourishment from Eywa, so they'd drink it. Same with the flash/meat of the sacrifice.
They're also considered on being closer to Eywa, since their features are unusual, also because majority of the na'vis have blue skin.
The RDA had once tried to interact with them, but they got captured by the clan and were sacrificed due to being Demons who had angered Eywa.
They also play a sport which is a Ballgame, known as Pok-A-Tok. It is more of a ritual game since the team that loses is sacrificed in order to please Eywa and so that she gives the clan a good harvest.
They also have a device known as the Death Whistle, they're used to guide the dead safely to Eywa. Another way they're used is when it comes to War, as a form of protection to those who go into battle, but also incase they die. Another is to summon spirits or cause terror towards the enemy when it comes to the enemy in battle.
They also have marriage/wedding ceremonies, they performed by the Tsahik. The Ceremony takes place in the Conote where their spirit tree is located, also known as the heart of the forest.
the future groom should give the bride a “mahul”, which translates as a package of gifts. The family of the bride then needs to accept this present to continue with the wedding. Also, the future married couple needs to take a bath of temazcal, which is a traditional purification steam bath for the purification of their bodies and spirits with different herbs and plants.
They deposit the flowers, cacao, and seeds and put some water as a representation of planting a tree with the meaning of future growth together. They both wash their feet, as a symbol of trust and humility in the relationship. Finally, the Tsahik invites parents and the closest family to pray and offer the best wishes to the new couple. With music, the blow of the conch shell, drums, and copal, the newlyweds deliver a floral offering to the sea or cenote.
They love meat, they're the sole definition of Carnivores, they can either cook the meat or eat the meat raw with blood.
As long as Na'vi is alive, they can never be burned by their fire, after they die then their bodies will burn. They're also pretty flammable due to any strong kind of emotion, they don't need to be around fire, they can just combust into flames.

The Ay'Amhul Navi have their own version of what Eywa look like. They also think of her to be an androgynous being who constantly changes into animals or even other Navi. But they deeply believe that she mainly takes the form of a woman. They have shrines around the forest and a temple which have a small statue of her. (I based her on Ix Chel, the Mayan Goddess of fertility, physical love, weaving, and the moon.)

Even More Ay'Amhul Clan facts/hc
Tumblr media
The reason why they cremate their deceased, is because the humans they used to interact basically grave robbed their deceased family members. They stole a bunch of skulls and bones. They're asked many times if they could get them back, but the humans never did.
They also do a lot of sacrifices during the winter, so that the disease from years ago doesn't come back. Also for good luck and a good harvest in the winter. (They do get snow but due to the volcanic areas they live in, it melts fast.)
They have their version of the 'xoloitzcuintli'. They're similar to the viperwolves, except they're a brown color or black. Also a bit smaller. They're good companions and also partake in healing rituals. Since they believe it has some kind of healing purposes. They also believe that the dogs help guide their owners into the afterlife.
Ones a person dies, their Ahuizotl ends up dying days later. Due to the lack of being with their owner. They believe it's because they wish to go with their owner and keep them company.
They also have xolotl/axolotls, they roam around the rivers, they think that the small amphibians bring good health and potentially healing. At times they're kept as pets and kept in the home.
They used to have books and other records they'd store in their makeshift library but the humans burned all their books and scrolls as a form to piss them off.
During a new year, they jump over a fire as a way to get rid of any sickness or bad luck. So that they can welcome good luck and good health that year. (This one is based on the Persian new year tradition).
When it comes to moon dancers, they tend to wear skirts which have a ring of fire at the bottom of the skirt and it's lit on fire. (Also based on the Persian fire dance known as Sama, I think).

Tw: talks of vagina dentata
I wonder if the na'vi have myths involving vagina dentata, maybe some clans do or don't. Or maybe maybe in the early years of evolution, the na'vi women did at some point. Perhaps they no longer have teeth, despite them no longer having it maybe they believe they have teeth.
Idk I found the myth to be interesting and wanted to involve it with my Ay'Amhul clan.

Tw: Jealous Neteyam, Funerals, mentions of a dead body, bones, cremation, Mayan traditions, courting rituals.
Author's note: I looked up things about Mayan funerals, but I also made up their own ritual of the ceremony. The dance was based on this video I saw on YouTube, idk I just thought it would be interesting to add and I liked the performance.

The whole time during the lessons, both you and Ao'nung had been basically stuck with each other. Helping him with how to keep his fire in control and other stuff. It somewhat angered Neteyam seen you and his friend really close, the whole time he had been witnessing this, he felt like he just wanted go over and tell Ao'nung to back off but he had no right or reason to do that. He just couldn't stand watching the two of you be all buddy buddy with one another.
You and Yolotli had been teaching the boys how to speak Yucatec, some basic learning woods, but it was something. The whole time you had been teaching Ao'nung the most while Eztli was teaching Neteyam. You had already accepted that Neteyam wasn't for you, but it still irked you seen them together. It went like that the whole day, not to mention the funeral ceremony that will happen that night. Most of the villagers were busy helping out on setting everything.
You along with Ao'nung, Neteyam, Yolotli and Eztli were also involved. Your mission was to collect flowers known as cempaxochitl. You had told both Neteyam and Ao'nung what the flowers meant since they had never seen these kind of flowers, you had told them about their meaning and what their used for. They had found out that every end of the fall season, you celebrated something known as Dia u pixan Dia de Muertos/ Day of the dead. You had told them the whole history involving the 2 days that involved celebrating.
Afterwards you all went home to get ready, well, you had to get ready since you'd be performing the ceremony. You had wanted Yolotli to do it but your mother told you it was you who had to get it done. Since your sister couldn't do the ceremony, she helped you get dressed. She helped you point your body black, the she helped you put on a top made out of real na'vi bones, then tied the other bones on your arms, and pointed your hands white. You had slipped on a skirt made out of different kinds of leather of animals, then the rest of the bones were tied to your legs. Your hair was down, the final part was the face mask that was also somewhat of a head dress, the skull was again a real na'vi's skull, this bones belonged to the very first Tsahik and had been used through time.
Once ready, the ceremony began. The whole village had been gathered together, involving Neteyam, Ao'nung, Ronal, and Neytiri. They had been in the crowed watching everything. The sky was turning an orange to deep purple. Before the body arrived, their was a small ritual happening in the main platform, the one family had been brought to since day one. Their was fire torches in every corner and more around the village. The ritual involved some women dressed as animals and some dressed in dancing attire, then the drums, flutes, and singing began to be heard. The performers began to do their performance, four of the women dressed in colorful attired had been holding torches that had not been lit yet. Then you had approached in the middle dressed in bones. The drums got louder, and the dancing got more intense, the whole time that was happening, you were drawing the circle in which the body will be placed and had turned on a small fire in middle as well.
The dancing and music got louder during the time, you had began to set the circle on fire, the women with torches had now been dancing around the circle of fire with flamed torches, two women dressed as animals were on the ground as if they were trying to keep the fire going. The whole time, the people didn't seem sad or in mourning, they had been watching the whole ceremony as if nothing. Some were even talking about how they envied the person who had died. Then the fire around the circle had died down. The dancers had stopped, everything stopped. You began to say the prayer for everyone to hear, you were on your knee the middle of the circle, speaking. Everyone listened to you closely, as then something was heard it sounded like a scream, but it wasn't it was a small flute that was shaped like skull, being played by Nicte, Petli and Yolotli.
The sound send goosebumps down anyone's spine, but to them this helped the dead guide them to Eywa. After the dancing and music began to play again, this time even louder. You continued to stand in the middle with your arms raised. The dance and music went on, non stop at this point. Both Neteyam and Ao'nung had been watching the whole thing unfold, they had never seen such performance ever, sure they had seen dancing but nothing like this. Their forms of funeral ceremonies involved sadness, this one didn't, this one seemed like a regular celebration of any kind. Then women who were dressed like warriors came out and danced around the circle, with their spears in hand. Then you along with the dancers began to sing to the beat of the music. You then got on one knee towards the fire, then picked some up in your hand, and began your next prayer while the flame danced on your hands. The singers began to sing another piece while you performed this small gesture.
The sky had now turned a deep purple, the only light source available was the moons light and the fire around the village. Then the dancers and performers stopped and so did the music, everything going quiet. The crowed cheered for the performance while shouting other things in Yucatec. The performers and dancers then all stepped a side, then elders from the village approach, followed by the family of the deceased nav, the people in the crowed making way for them to reach the platform. At this time, everyone had been humming a song while elders carried the body in a basket made out of leaves. The singing got louder as the elders got closer to the platform. The song had been somewhat chilling to hear, everyone was singing at the same time, and it got louder. Once the elders got the platform and placed the body middle of the circle was when the singing got louder and more chilling. The elders stepped as side, allowing the family to approach the deceased member that had been wrapped in dull colored cloths. The members faces had red line that ran down from their foreheads running down to their chest as well as their attired, the color of death and rebirth. The singing of the crowd continued.
You then approached with a big torch in hand, saying your silent prayers as you then set the body, the fire then began to consume the body. You along with the rest watched the the body had now been burning. Again music began to play, a flute along with small wooden drums began to play, same goes for that whistle that was played by your family members. Everyone watched in silence, watching in awe and excitement in their eyes. Once the body had been turned to ash, Nicte was holding a clay like vase with a lid and went to collect the ashes, she her self also had said her prayer before handing the vase the relatives.
Once done, another prayer had been said, this time by the Tsahik. Nicte's prayer involved talking na'vi beginning their life with Eywa and that very soon another life will come back to the clan. Like most clans, they believed in rebirth, but instead of being born twice, they believed that one is born over and over and over. They continued to live through others.
Afterwards their was a feast, everyone in the village attended. It seemed as if they celebrated that the na'vi had began their journey to Eywa, the family had also abandoned their home, for nine days. It was believed that the soul it would return to its home and sleep for nine days after their journey. The feast, food had been served to everyone, they had also introduced other dishes such as Huitacoche, it was made out of corn smut and something they called 'Tortillas' they were made out of corn flower. But the dish that they enjoyed eating the most were the Tamales, they were made out of corn dough, also involved meat and vegetables and were wrapped with corn husk or banana leaves. They also had something called Xocolatl chocolate. It was considered a gift of Eywa's, it can be made into a solid of a liquid, it could either be bitter or sweet.
During the feast, Neteyam had been sitting with his mother and Ronal, they seemed to he having a conversation. Neteyam had been watching Ao'nung who had been with you talking about something. You had taken your mask off, he saw the way you laughed at what his friend had been telling you. He didn't notice Eztli sit next to him, handing him more tamales for him to eat. "Thank you" he said, which he gladly took the small clay plate with food, once she got his attention. "Do you like them? My mom and I made them." She said smiling at him, Neteyam smiled back at her kindly, then looked back at the both of you. Eztli then looked over at you and Ao'nung, she stopped to think, she noticed how he had been a bit off that morning. Then she realized it, he had feelings for you, her best friend. She did not really notice from the beginning until now. The whole time Eztli thought his friendly gestures meant he also liked her, but no, he was just being kind.
"You see them don't you?" Eztli asked, getting Neteyam full attention. He wanted to change or ignore the subject, but he knew that he couldn't. "Yes, I see them." He admitted, Eztli only smiled sadly at him. "Well, you're not the only one that sees them, it seems that Ao'nung also had eyes for them." She said, making Neteyam look back at you both. "You know, I could help you and your friend" she said, catching Neteyam a bit of guard. "What do you mean?" he asked, Eztli only giggled. "Courting y/n, you both don't have to fight over them, you all could be mated to one another. It's normal" she said. Now Neteyam understood, he'd have to talk to Ao'nug about this for sure. "You'd do that?" he asked her "of course, anything for my friends" She smiled kindly at him.
The rest of the night, Eztli had been talking to Neteyam about the courting rituals. Involving having to wrestle you, but it was also seen as a form of dancing. If he managed to bring you down, then you'd accept his later advances. The next step was hunting, to show that they're are able to provide for their chosen mate, it was said that both or all parties must provide in the relationship. The second part of the hunting, was to bring back a heart to show that they do wish for their hand and this was some kind of a gesture of love. The final step was to fight the whole family, this was to prove that they're capable of defending you, as well as to fight along side you in any shape.
After this knowledge, Neteyam needed to talk to Ao'nung. The feast was over, and now everyone headed back to their homes. Both Ao'nung and Neteyam headed back to their small hut with their mothers. "Hey Ao'nung" Neteyam got the other's attention. "What is it Net?" he looked over at him. "I've been thinking about y/n, and how I feel about them" Neteyam said as this caught Ao'nung a bit off guard, he had feelings for you? He thought Neteyam had feelings for Eztli. "Let me guess, and you want me to back off? Well you're dreaming if you th-" he got cut off by the forest na'vi. "Hold on bro, let me speak" he said as Ao'nung allowed him to talk. "I know that you like them, and so do I, what I wanted to say is that we should court them"
This suggestion made Ao'nung's jaw drop, surprised, he thought that his friend wanted you for himself, but he wanted to court you but not alone but with him. "Court them together? but that's unheard of" Ao'nung said still in shock, but Neteyam added. "But we can, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary here" he said to his friend, who still had his mouth open like a fish. "I mean, we could but, they're the child of the Tsahik and the Mother of the people? How'd they react if outsiders like us would court their child?" he asked, now worried about your mothers. Neteyam sighed, he was right, but they at least had to try. "We should ask for permission obviously, have their consent at least" he said, finally Ao'nung agreed. "Tomorrow morning, we do it" he said.
The next morning, you had been getting ready for the day. Yolotli had helped you add dreadlocks to your hair. The locks were made out of your own hair that you kept when you'd cut it. They were long enough to reach your waist. Yolotli was having fun playing with your hair, normally you'd let your hair be but today you wanted to do something with it. She also had added some red colored locks and a few wooden beads. "You look lovely" she said, making you smile at her words, also feeling your face heat up. "You think so?" you asked her.
You then heard on the other side of the cloth that separated yours and Yolotli's shared side of the home. Two boys who sounded very familiar talking with your mother's. "Me and Ao'nung would like to court your child Y/n" this made you freeze in shock, they what? Did you hear Neteyam correctly? Court you? "Yolotli please pinch me" you said as she did, she pinched you a bit to hard. "Ow!" you said as he then quickly apologized. "I'm not dreaming right? I did hear him right?" you asked your sister who nodded her head. "You heard him, loud and clear" she said smiling at you. You were too stunned to speak.

Even More Ay'Amhul Clan facts/hc
Tumblr media
When a baby is born,  they commit Tsuhaylu with their mother. This is so that the infant and mother start their connection. But if the mother were to die during the birth. The baby will be with the Tsahik for two days and will be returned to the mother's family. Or the baby could be adopted by a couple. Since the mother isn't around, the baby will commit Tsuhaylu with the parent figure. It can be either the grandparent/s or the older sibling/s
The Ay'amhul have 'jobs' for example, they're farmers, merchants, caretakers, and midwives.
As for hunters, most of the time a group gets together and goes to hunt, whatever amount of things they got they share it amongst the group so that they could take it back to their families.
When a woman is about to give birth, they're three midwives helping the Tsahik. It's a pretty common job to be a midwife. They family is also present during the birth.
They have interacted with humans once, but they had found out that they were taking their Jade, Torturquoise and pyrite. They stopped interacting with them. The humans tried to interact with them again, but they were killed.
They're albino Na'vi. Their skins are a light pink, their eyes are either purple, blue or a light brown. Their markings are also a darker pink or red.
The clan celebrates Día De Los Muertos. The when clan will make an alter using the steps on the pyramid. Each family had a step, which they'll put whatever things that belonged to their deceased member. It can be anything. They'll also put a bunch of cempazuchitl on the steps and pyramid. They celebrate for two days. A day prior they'll get things ready. On the first day, they honor children who have passed away and on the second day they honor the the adults who have passed. One rule they follow during the two days of celebration, is that no one can/shouldn't take anything from the step because it's considered disrespectful and can bring bad luck. After those days, the things will get taken down off the steps of the pyramid.

Tw: mentions of sacrifices, death, Lopez is the only male in the clan, translator is used.
A/N: I made a couple changes to the clan, idk I just really like the idea of the Ay'Amhul clan being a female only clan. Also this is my first recom fic, I don't really see much of Lopez, so might as well start somewhere. I hope you guys like this. (I took some inspo from the first movie)
P.s. I'ma add more parts to this.

Lopez had no idea how he ended up in the jungle, all he remembers being on his Ikra then Neytiri shooting at him and everything going black. When he woke up from his sleep, days had already passed, who know how many. He was alone in the middle of nowhere, no weapon to defend himself or his ikra, where did his ikra go? He slowly sat up in pain, looking over where the arrow had hit him was gone, but even though the arrow was no longer on his shoulder, it hurt like a bit. "Fuck" he murmured in pain, he needed to start moving, he couldn't just stay their and wait for a miracle.
He walked for hours, it had now become night time and he was tired from walking. The Island he had landed on was huge, it's take him forever to find anything. He stopped and sat down under a tree, god he hated this. Not being able to communicate with anyone, no weapons in hand and not to mention his ikra, believe it or not, he grew to actually bond with the winged animal.
Then he heard noises coming from some pushes, jumping up from his spot, Lopez readied himself to fight whatever anything, Pandora's wild life was not like the one from earth, if he was going to die, might as well die trying to defend himself.
It was no animal, the figure in the bushes was actually a na'vi, but not just any na'vi he had heard and seen. He has seen blue and teal colored na'vi, but this na'vi had pale skin, her markings were of darker shades of dots and her eyes, those blood red eyes that bore into his. Then her tail looked like his, but where the hair was suppose to be was replaced by a small flame. The more he looked at her, the more he got a better look. The woman had long white hair with bangs, she had face paint that ran across her eyes, two giant green jade earrings, a nose like piece that laid on her feline nose. Lastly two strings of beads on both sides of her face. She looked beautiful in his opinion.
Her attire involved a long black huipil skirt with some red flowers and smaller patterns weaved into the skirt. Her top was what he believed to be dried up vines that went from around her neck and hugged her small chest in place. He noticed her weapon was a wooden like blade with shape rocks around the rims, she held the weapon in her hand. She looked at him in suspicion, studying him like he had been studying her.
"I see you" Lopez had said while he gestured the greeting gesture towards the woman. It was the only thing he thought of, hoping that the woman wouldn't try to kill him. The woman did not look pleased not one bit. "Who are you" she questioned him, making the other male feel nervous. Before he could answer more women came out of the woods, some riding some kind of huge snake like creatures and others on foot. They surrounded him. Looking closely at him in shock, they had never seen an outsider in the island, let alone a male outsider.
A woman had approached him from behind, she was much taller then him. She got a hold of his queue and held a knife to his neck, all Lopez could do was just stay still. "Máax le le máako'" who is this man? She asked the woman who he had come across with. Then another woman asked "Bix u k'uchul tak waye'." How did he get here? then more and more questions where asked, they were speaking in a language Lopez did not understand. "Ya'abkach! K'a'abet k bisik u paache' le aldea, le Tsahik sabrá ba'ax meentik yéetel" Enough! We must take him back to the village, the Tsahik will know what to do with him. The first woman ordered, making the rest of the women fall silent.
Just like she ordered, the woman who had Lopez held by the queue guided him along with the other women into their village. All he did was walked, since he had been held by the queue, he couldn't do nothing, one wrong move and he was dead. Finally they arrived at a village, it was huge. Their were homes, small rivers and anything a village would have. Not to mention their was a huge pyramid in the middle of the village, that must be where the Tsahik is at.
The villagers that had been busy, had lost interest in their work and gathered around the main platform to get a look at the stranger. Lopez noticed how their was only women and girls. No males? How odd. The crowed that had gathered around was looking at him, commenting on his looks and questioning on why an outsider was was here. He had been let go of his queue, but was still surrounded by the women.
The Tsahik along with her Mate had arrived, everyone grew silent in the presence of them both. "Who are they?" he asked the first woman, she rolled her eyes but responded "That is Tsahik and The mother of the people" that was all she said, when the Tsahik had approached she looked at the male. The Tsahik had been more dressed then her mate, to show her statues that she was the Spiritual guide of the clan. She was dressed head to toe, covered in beads, bones, red and white body paint. Also the big feathered headdresses, also the Tsahik's knife that hanged around her chest.
Nicte circled him, getting a hold of his queue, then his tale that had been swirling around nervously. That was not all, she got the small knife and pricked him on his shoulder, causing him to wince in pain. She ran the small blade on his opened mouth, the blood covered blade softly touching her tongue. Finally she spoke. "How did an outsider like you end up here? No Outsider has ever come here" she demanded.
But Lopez responded. "I have no memory on how I ended up here" he said honestly, but the Tsahik was not done yet, she got a hold of his hands. "You're an outsider, but also posses the blood of those demons" she stated, causing the crowd of women to gasp in horror. Some got their spears, prepared attack and others moved their daughters behind them for protection. Lopez felt even more nervous, hearing the women shout things, some in na'vi, others in that language. "Kíinsik le demonio!" "Sacrificar u! Utia'al u Gran na' Eywa!" Kill the demon! Sacrifice him! For the Great Mother Eywa!, so on.
"Mak a chi'ex!" Silence! Nicte had manage to calm the crowd of women. "What are you called?" she asked, in which Lopez calmly replied "Lopez" he said, seen the Tsahik nod. "Lo-pez" she repeated. "I will give you the chance to prove yourself, learn and adapt to our ways, and you will not be killed" she said, but she wasn't finished. "Cause any trouble and you die" she stated. All he could do was say yes in response.
Nicte then turned to the woman who he met. "K'a'abet a ka'ansik ti' asegúrate u aprenda tuláakal" Y/n you are to teach him, make sure that he learns everything, she ordered. But the woman didn't look pleased "Chéen ba'ale' Tsahik, ma' lelo' justo, ba'ax Ba'axten K'a'abet in beetik." But Tsahik, that is not fair why must I- she complained, but was quickly shut down. "Ts'o'ok in tukultik, teech yaan a beel u aj-ka'ansaj, lelo' in ts'ook t'aan." I've decided, you're to be his teacher, that is my final say. she said, making the woman roll her eyes and hiss in anger.

After that whole interrogation, the woman took Lopez to one of the hut's. As he followed, he got looks from the women that were in their homes minding their own business. They stared and talked amongst each other, probably talking about him. A little girl attempted to go up to him, but was stopped by a mother who quickly picked up her toddler and walked away back to her home.
He arrived in the hut with the woman "This is for you" she motioned at the house, it was the size that could fit a whole family for sure. The hut was made of both wood and straw, Their were hammocks tied to the wooden post keeping the home up, some rugs made out of some kind of died leaves, some baskets, clay like vases along with other equipment.
"Change into this" the woman said, handing him some clothes. "You want me to wear this?" Lopez asked, the woman rolled her eyes. "Yes, when you're done, give me those demon clothes." She said stepping out of the hut, pulling the curtain on the doorway for privacy. Lopez had changed into the clothing, it was a dark brown loin clothes and a short white huipil skirt with some dark brown patterns. He was literally wearing a skirt, but what else can he do.
He then stepped out, with his military clothes in hand, the woman was still there but she had started a fire. She looked over and saw the male. "Give me those" she said snatching his previous clothes from his hands. Next thing you know, she had thrown his clothes into the fire. "What are you doing?!" he yelled at the woman, but the woman was not faced by it. "Getting rid of that demon clothing, if you want to adapt here, then you must leave your demon entities behind." She growled at him. She was still mad that she had to be the one to teach him.
Lopez just sigh and nodded, watching his clothes burning in the fire. It is true, if he wanted to start a new a life, then he must leave his past behind him. "Can I know your name?" he asked a bit awkwardly at the woman who was putting out the small fire with her barehand. She mumbled something, but he couldn't hear her. "I'm sorry can you repeat that?" he asked, making the woman groan in annoyance. "Y/n" she hissed, turning to him. "Y-n?" he pronounced it wrong, so she corrected him. "Y/n" she said it slower, less annoyed. "Nice to meet you, Y/n" he said giving her a smile, but all she did was just stare at him in annoyance.

The next day was when his training had started, he was woken up by you very early, even before the sun was peaking out. "Wake up!" you yelled right in his ear, making Lopez fall of the hammock and hitting the ground. "Damn, what was that for? It's not even morning" he wined getting up, you just rolled your eyes and threw him a spear. "Don't care, get up, the earlier the better" you mentioned, walking out of the hut.
Lopez was still on the floor, trying to process what just happened. He got up and got the spear, then stepped outside. You were their along with other women your age. They all noticed Lopez stepping out and began to talk quietly, they must be talking about him since they spoke in that different language. "Come on, lets go" that's all you said, then walked away. The women and Lopez followed you.
You lead them to the woods, the women kept talking among themselves while Lopez was focused on you. You had been explaining to him about the Nì’awve, how he had to bond with one of them in order to ride them. Their were snake like creatures with hard coal colored skin, let alone they were huge. A Nì’awve had approached, you got their attention and they slithered towards you, the creature allowed you to place a saddle on it's back, after you had place it, you had tighten it around the creature. "Come here" you ordered Lopez, who had placed the spear down and went over to you and the creature. "Get on" you instructed him, in which he obligated.
Lopez got on the saddle. "Bond with her" you said, he then grabbed his queue and the creature's antenna that was behind their right ear. Once he had connected his queue, he began to feel what the creature was feeling. "Feel her movements" you instructed, as you watched Lopez trying to focus on the creature's bond. Out of nowhere the Nì’awve just took off, causing Lopez to wrap his arms around her neck, holding on to dear life.
This made the other women laugh at this, not only that but the Nì’awve had thrown off Lopez off her back, making him hit the ground. Causing the women to laugh even more. Lopez groaned and got up, shaking off the dirt from the huipil and from around him. You tried not to laugh but you did, you let out a small laugh seen how the creature had literally thrown the male off her back. Lopez noticed you giggling by this, instead of feeling upset, he felt some kind of relief, seen you smile and laugh. You had been cold towards him since the beginning, but he felt as if he might have a chance with you.

If the Ay'Amhul na'vi were introduced to Chocolate Abuelita, they'd love it. They'd also eat the chocolate tablet because of how good it tastes.

I've been thinking since the Metkayina have the Tulkun as spiritual brothers and sisters. Why not the Ay'amhul have alebrijes he their spiritual brothers and sisters? I'ma add that.
They'd also have their version of Toruk Makto. Instead of it being The Great Leonopteryx is actually a Quetzalcóatl. Which is a huge feathered serpent. It is theorized that it's actually Eywa in disguise of a snake. There have only been a few times that the serpent had been tamed, it hasn't been tamed after centuries.
