How Shiny and Twyla Met

YAAAAAAASSSSSS, I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT!

@marinerainbow, thank you so, so much for letting me draw your OC Shiny! I’m so sorry this took forever; outlining can be so hard 😭😭😭 But it’s worth it! And I had so much fun drawing Shiny! Because she’s a hybrid Toon like the twins, I wanted to give her a blend of weasel and honey badger features. And she’s fun to color! For real, I tested out various shades of copper for her hair, fur, and underbelly. Speaking of which, @lastofautumn, I’m tagging you because I saw your reference and it gave me so much inspiration. In other words, I’m tagging you so you can receive credit! 😁 Fun fact about me, I’m a visual learner 🤣

I also saw in Rainbows’ other posts that she has freckles, so I thought why not? I haven’t drawn freckles before, so I hope they look natural enough 😅

Hope you guys don’t mind, I’m writing a short little fic of how these two halfies met 😊

It was just about sundown when the two horror Toons left the museum. Twyla’s somber mood had vanished in the last few hours she shared with Poppy, and not a single memory returned to sour the fun day she had. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt truly relaxed while out in public, if she ever felt comfortable at all.

After they left the main entrance doors, Poppy jumped up to give the taller ravenette a big, heartwarming hug. “Thank you so much for spending the day with me! This was so much fun!” she smiled wide, bunny teeth sparkling.

Twyla chuckled, returning the hug. “Yeah, it was.”

The rabbit hopped off and waved. “Anyway, I’m off for a date! I’ll see you later.” She turned on her heel, about to walk across the road.

Twyla rose a brow, calling out, “Wait, whoa, whoa. Where are you going?”

Poppy looked over her shoulder, her face painted with confusion. “I’m…walking home?”

Walking home? The vigilante raised both brows, glancing at the other side of the street. It was a vast, idiosyncratic section located in Uptown Toontown, home to many buildings and businesses alike. Hotels, grocery stores, and bakeries made the upper side look decent, classy and even friendly, but Twyla learned long ago to never judge the streets when the sun sets. And to never walk home alone at night.

She couldn’t shake off the uneasiness and met the lady’s gaze. “You wouldn’t have by any chance walked here to meet me, have you?”

Poppy hesitated for a moment, then answered. “Yes.”

“Absolutely not,” Twyla shook her head firmly and dug into her pocket. “Where’s your crib? I’m driving you home.”

“Huh?” Poppy’s ears perked up, blushing while shaking her head. “Aw, Twyla, that’s very kind of you, but you really don’t have to do that! I can handle walking on my own.”

“I know you can,” the gentle-hearted doe’s smile faltered. Twyla’s smile was sincere, but there was no doubting the concerned worry in the young halfie's eyes. She knelt to the rabbit’s level and gently touched her shoulder, “You’re far more capable than people think, but I haven’t been in Toontown long enough to know the ropes. Plus, you’ve done so much for me today and I want to repay you in any way I can.”

She added, “Besides, I still have time to kill, and I feel like exploring a little longer.”

Poppy knew there was no trace of condescending and Twyla’s response was genuine, but something in her gut told her Twyla was just going to follow her home if she refused. Moony was already a formidable opponent, and she can only imagine what this younger, more agile wolf was capable of. Why did that send a shiver down her spine?

But then, a lightbulb shone above her head. She hid her excitement with a sigh, “OK, you can escort me home.”

Twyla internally sighed in relief. Thank God. She reached behind her and pulled out…a motorcycle helmet? “Good thing I bring helmets just in case. It’s a little small, and Echo needs a new one, but it’ll do.”

She jerked her head, “Let’s go.”

Poppy accepted the helmet offered, even more confused as she followed her companion down the sidewalk. “Thank you, but why do I need a hel…” she trailed off, transfixed. “met?”

What she saw before her was a death machine beyond descriptive power and beauty. Twyla was leaning against a massive motorcycle, specifically accustomed to fit her size and body length. A hybrid bred by some of Harley Davidson’s finest of the 80’s, FLH Electra-Glide Shovelhead and Goth Girl Sportster. Its armor was painted glossy onyx, the gas tank designed with the skull of a ghostly wolf surrounded by beautiful purple roses and leaving the fenders pure jet black. Silver components sparkled like crystals, glimmering brightly against the harsh remnants of the fiery sun and as Poppy continued to observe the vehicle, she noticed something that left her even more awestruck. The brakes were welded with metallic, silvery wolf skulls and eyes of pure, crystalline amethyst.

“Sacré bleu,” Poppy whispered, speechless. “Twyla, it’s so beautiful.”

“Merci,” Twyla smiled and hoisted her leg over the seat with her hands firmly clutched on the handlebars. “Hop in.”

The doe quickly fastened her helmet and sat behind Twyla, clutching her forearms around the taller Toon’s waist. Within a burst of energy, the engine roared and the two horror Toons drove off into the streets of Uptown Toontown.

It was no trouble locating Poppy’s humble abode, to be honest. The address was already memorized, and Twyla was able to identify different addresses thanks to her enhanced vision, but it was really the scent that gave her the most assistance. From within a few miles, she detected the lovely aroma of poppy flowers and couldn’t help but chuckle. Cute.

After an easy ride with no traffic, Twyla parked her bike at the driveway leading to a large, luxurious estate shielded by olive trees and decorated with a canvas of poppy flowers. The house was big enough to fit more than one resident, and the lights were on. Does Poppy have a roommate?

The French doe in question removed the borrowed helmet and hopped off, circling the frontier and gently taking Twyla by the hand. “Thank you for the ride, but I must ask you to stay for a little longer. There’s someone I want you to meet!”

Yep, she’s living with someone, the halfie confirmed and allowed herself to be escorted to the pathway towards the front door. Originally, she would’ve been hesitant to meet new strangers given the many unfortunate encounters she’s experienced. But for some reason, she felt safe and relaxed. Plus, Poppy seemed eager to introduce her, so it couldn’t be bad, right?

Right?

The duo walked even further when Poppy sensed her apprehension and gave her a reassuring pat on the hand, “It’s all right, sweetie. You’ll see! You and my wife have so much in common!”

Twyla’s ears perked, curious. “Wife?”

Just then, the front door opened. Another lady made her presence known.

It was a jill, a female Toon weasel. She stood only a few inches taller than Poppy but carried herself in such grace that models would kill for. Her body was lithe, blessed with womanly curves tracing her physique in flawless ink. The woman’s fur and hair were different shades of copper, but saturating her underbelly and throat was a soft lighter hue. Her dark copper hair was styled into perfection, voluminous curls poised above her shoulders which showed Twyla she took her time working on her good looks.

She was quite a beauty, and her glamour seemed to shine. A myriad of freckles kissed her cheeks and shoulders, scattered like constellations in the night sky and her full lips were painted with ruby red lipstick. And her eyes…were absolutely radiant. Her eyes were two glimmering green garnets, accented with lilac eyeshadow and full lashes that made her eyes shine so brightly it was striking. The outfit she wore spoke volumes; she wore a form-fitting purple high-neck halter dress accentuating her curves perfectly decorated with a beaded rhinestone collar embellished with purple sapphires. Shining pearls pierced her ears, a matching double pearl necklace hung comfortably around her neck, and the purple heels she wore gave her an extra boost in height.

The jill’s eyes met Poppy’s and a warm, wide smile painted her face. “Poppy!” she greeted her wife. Her voice was a soft, breathy cloud laced with raspy, seductive charm that made her sound almost innocent if not for the dangerous lavender-painted claws. She spread her arms wide, and the doe was engulfed in a loving embrace before the two shared a deep, longing kiss.

It was only then did Twyla notice something. First, it was the fragrance. Something sweet surrounded the woman, a lovely floral aroma. The scent lingered on the brunette’s lips where Twyla was focused on. It was earthy and natural, and sweet like honey.

Honey? The younger Toon cocked her head, curious. Weasels don’t particularly like honey, as far as she was concerned. She hasn’t met a lot of weasels, but none of them struck her as the type to prefer nectary culinary delights over rabbit stew. The jill definitely wasn’t wearing any perfume, so why did she smell like honey—Wait.

Her teeth, Twyla remembered. Poppy’s wife had a peculiar set of teeth when she smiled. They weren’t razor-sharp like a weasel’s, and they weren’t yellow. She had small white, pearly fangs. And her ears were small, coated with light copper innards. Toon weasels don’t have those kind of ears. Twyla’s eyes moved forward and stopped at the sight of the lady’s tail. Besides the color and shape of their fangs, there is only one other physical aspect weasels have in common: they have streaks on their tails. She did not.

She had honey, there’s no streak on her tail, and her teeth were too small for a weasel’s. As she analyzed the woman’s appearance, realization dawned upon Twyla. It was as clear as crystal. She is a hybrid Toon. Half-weasel, half-honey badger.

Another halfie, Twyla’s eyes widened, amazed. Just like me.  

The two pulled away from their kiss, their arms still entangled. Poppy’s wife looked over her shoulder and finally noticed there was a guest. Her eyes meet hers…

…and her smile drops.

“Who’s this?” she asked, lazily pointing to her with her slender, pointed nose.

Poppy turned to her wife’s direction and beamed. “Oh! Right, how silly of me.” The doe touched the brunette’s shoulder before she introduced, “Twyla, this is my wife, Shiny. Shiny, this is Twyla Toonz. She’s new here in Toontown!”

The older halfie, Shiny, raised a brow. “A newbie, huh?”

“Yes!” Poppy nodded, standing between the two hybrids while still smiling. “I told her that you both have so much in common, and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for you two to meet!”

Twyla gulped and waved, “Um, hi?”            

Shiny slowly crossed her arms, never taking her eyes off her. A tense, awkward silence permeated the atmosphere as the smaller hybrid studied her. Her gaze was unwavering, stoic. She’s analyzing me, Twyla realized. It was very rare to come across a fellow Toon hybrid, no matter what generation or class they’re from. It was so rare, it’s almost too good to be true for some halfies.

Which is probably why she doesn’t trust me right now, the horror Toon internally sighed. If that’s the case, I don’t blame her.

Shiny continued to study her with that look on her face. It was starting to make Twyla feel uncomfortable after a few minutes. I should probably apologize and leave now.

She opened her mouth to speak—

And felt Shiny’s delicate, manicured hands gently squishing her face.

“Why are you so cute?”

“Ma’am, please stop.”

I also think James would feel just as weary of Logan because HE thinks he's preying on a young single mother and her mutant son.

It gets better as time passes by and eventually Logan will break into his aparment and tell him to heal this young mutant he just found bleeding on a mission that refuses to go to a hospital or the mansion. James grumbles and curses under his breath each time but of course he helps.

Also, HC request of Logan noticing that while her heart races when she sees him, it immediately slows down each time she looks at James (THAT'S HER BROTHER Y'ALL) like she feels safe with him, and suddenly he is very annoyed at whatever object he's holding

Oh James would be so, SO protective of Sunshine, it would be like a whole different level! ❤️ And of Theo as well! ❤️

Aw James helping Logan, that would be so good! ❤️ Like, that's exactly how they would bond, because they're both fiercely protective of people around them and want to keep them safe 🥰

That would be hilarious! 😂 And that's so true, Sunshine's heart races whenever Logan is around but she calms down with James around awww❤️ Logan would notice that and also how Sunshine is all happy around James, and accidentally end up squeezing his beer bottle too hard and it would break in his hand, and Sunshine would drop everything to rush to him -completely forgetting he can heal instantly- and go like,

"Oh my God, are you okay?!"

"Yeah-uh, yeah sure, it's nothing."

"No no, James is a doctor so he can fix you up, let me-oh."

"Mm hm. Nothing to worry about sweetheart, I heal."

"Are you-are you sure? How did that happen anyway?"

Also final thought that I'm sending separately because it's severely unhinged so fr just feel free to ignore this part: if the feral boys eat their kills… do you think… they ever try to share their food with Crozier / Hodge&Jirv? What if their heightened feral senses can tell that the canned stuff is Bad early on? I bet Crozier could successfully tell Jop NO when he brings a share of a body around cat-giving-you-a-dead-bird-style, but I don't know if a confused and terrified Hodgson & Irving could do the same with Ned… and poor Feral Ned using the last bit of his self-control to stop himself from devouring the whole corpse so he can bring some back to his helpless pups <3 so selfess always <3 maybe if he's really far gone he tries to hand feed them cause clearly they just can't feed themselves <3 and meanwhile they're crying and clinging to each other and trying not to scream or look at the mangled remains on the floor while being force-fed human viscera. Lieutenant bonding time! ^_^

Crozier would def be down to chow on some human if Jopson was the one offering 🥰😇I'd kind of hinted at it in the very first feral fic.

He'd be way less accepting of it earlier on in the expedition. Thomas what do you MEAN you killed and ATE an AB. THOMAS. And he's always like: it was for you sir 🫶🫶

The 18 year old saw his two friends looking at the gifts, while they decided to eat outside of the cafeteria. A nice change in location, to enjoy the view of Miguel's world.

Gwen: What's all of this? -one hand on her hip, she placed her tray of Mexican take out down on the table-

Pav nodded having his Chinese take out for lunch, he's so hungry he shove noodles into his mouth then spoke: Yeah?

Miles playfully said: They're gifts! -he sniff the bouquet of flowers loving the scent- They smell so fresh!🥰

Gwen: Let me guess, Hobie?

Miles nodded his head very fast with excitement: You know, he likes to spoil me. ☺️ -he couldn't help but snuggle his teddy bear- He made this for me! Isn't that cute?

Pav sips his soda: Whoa, he did! Wow, what did you get him?

Miles: My love! -He laughs playfully- I should, huh? Let me think... hmm🤔

Gwen: It should be something functional. It's the best way to use the gift.

Pav: or romantic!

Miles snaps his fingers: I know! I can get him a new guitar pick with our names on it! 🥰

Gwen: That is a great gift.

Hobie appears with his arms wrapping behind Mies' shoulder: Gift? What gift? -He kisses Miles' cheek- Aye, luv. Love your gifts?

Miles smiles widely showing off his teeth: Yes, bae! The bear is so cute! -He gave many kisses on his boyfriend's cheeks, and his hand caressing Hobie's arms- I love'em! 😘

Hobie smiles widely: I'm glad. You know, you don't have to give me nothing, dear.

Miles pouts: But I should. You're my man!

Hobie's face flustered: That's enough for me. 🥰

Pav giggles: Awwwweeeee.

Gwen: What if Miles' want to give you something to show that he loves you as much as you do.

Hobie: Oh he can never love me as much as I love him. -He sits besides his boyfriend, then lowly said- I would conquer the world for him!

Miles hearts flutter: Awe, I know you would! -he hugs his boyfriend with his arms around Hobie's neck- And you would make me a God?

Hobie grins widely: Of course, luv! I would make everyone worship you!

Gwen: Sounds like fascism...

Pav: Yeah! Wouldn't that go against what you believe in, Hobs?

Hobie chuckles lowly almost a bit amusing: Heh, funny, ain't it. It will be different because it will be my Sunflower! And everyone would get to worship my darling! -He playfully tap his boyfriend's nose- He's too precious!😌

Miles snuggles against: Love you, baby! 🥰😍

Hobie: Love you, darling. 😘 Oh I almost forgot -he handed Miles' his favorite soda, OK Kola Champagne- I forgot to give you this!

Miles gladly took his drink with his eyes widen: No way, bae! How did you get this? The Cafeteria doesn't sell this! 😲 -He grew up with this soda, one of his favorites. His mom would buy them in glass bottles and they would always drink together as a way of bonding. He opens the can hearing a small hiss then sips- Mmm, so good!

Gwen looks at Hobie, who's already pink: Man, you gotta stop spoiling him!

Pav chuckles: Damn, I'm not even like that with Gayatri... maybe I should be 🤔

Miles giggles having to share his lunch with his boyfriend, he offers him to try the soda: Here, have a sip. -he watches Hobie taking a sip then shrugs- Too sweet?

Hobie: You know me, luv. I rather drink ale than a Pop... -He use to drink a lot of beer before meeting Miles. Now, he rarely drinks it.- But this isn't bad.

Miles wraps his arms around Hobie's left arm, his head snuggling against him. Hobie's body turns red with magazine words of love and hearts: Well, I still need you to try Pegao and other Puerto Rican snacks.

Gwen only eats as she listen to the couple then asked: What's Peg-Ow?

Pav burst out laughing: Gwen, what?

Miles: Pegao? It''s crispy rice. It's so good. Dominicans call it Concón.

Hobie said with a smile on his face: I'll try anything for you, Sunflower.

Miles: I know, you will, baby! Mwah! -he kisses Hobie's lips-

Gwen: Oh brother, here they go again. -The lovey dovey sometimes be too much for her-

Pav: They are here for the long run!

Hobie: For sure!

Miles turns to his friend: Yeah, he's my baby!

Gwen turns to Pav: And he will be the first one to proudly let everyone.

Pav: Miles would give a whole speech about Hobie!

Hobie smiles widely hearing his boyfriend: I would! I would like to thank my bae for these gifts and lunch -then chuckles- And my man, thank you to my man! -he playfully stuck his tongue out while hugging his boyfriend-

Hobie could only chuckles having to put Miles on his lap: Amazing speech, luv! 🥰 It's the best one I heard!

also I haven’t asked a silly little question in a minute, but I finally have one if you’re up for it 😅 i’m thinking about NSG and the soulmate bond once again (and for more context, i’m also thinking about my newest nephew because my best friend texted me to tell me she went into labor, I called her back asap, and she was suuuuuuuper casual and nonchalant about it 😭 she even wanted to do some laundry & I was like ma’am pls get to the damn hospital 🤣)

but all that’s got me thinking — how would the bond affect dean when soulmate!reader goes into labor/gives birth?

like she probably couldn’t be nonchalant about it or try to hide it in anyway because of their wifi connection 😭 but i’d love your insights :}

Again, that's such a good question for Never Say Goodbye (Dean W. x Soulmate!Reader). For those who don't know, that's a soulmate AU where Dean and reader can hear some of each other's thoughts and feel what each other is feeling when they're in close proximity. Their "WiFi" signal, so to speak. 😂

You're absolutely right that she wouldn't be able to hide her pain or much of her thoughts from Dean at that intensity. It brings a whole new meaning to "sympathy pain." 😅😅😅

Dean would be able to feel what she feels acutely, depending on how much she's able to block out of the connection. My HC was that as they get used to the bond, they would be better able to control it (like withholding thoughts and emotions). But with something as painful and intense as labor, it would probably be too much to block out entirely from the connection. 😬

So basically, Dean would earn the Husband of the Year award for sticking it out in that delivery room. 🤣

i'm also puzzled when people say they don't know when Sakura begin to have feelings for Syaoran cause it's actually quite obvious when you begin to read between the lines. the way she expresses her feelings for Syaoran and Yukito are very different, and i think that's why it's easy to miss sometimes. the reason behind it, i think, is because she knows her feelings for Yukito and expresses it outwardly. but in Syaoran's case, she doesn't her own feelings either yet. she's not even aware of what it's growing into, and so her reactions are more subtle. almost like her heart is subconsciously doing what it does.

but there are lots of moments where Sakura's reactions toward something Syaoran does is remarkably different than it is with someone else.

one example comes from the anime; Sakura's reaction towards the news of Meilin leaving in episode 43 and to the lingering idea of Syaoran leaving in episode 47 are very different. while she's sad in both cases, notice how her expression is different when it concerns Syaoran. there's a sense of loneliness and desolation.

another example i can think of is her body language. she's incredibly comfortable around Syaoran during the Sakura Card Arc and the way she literally BEAMS with a smile every time he shows up to help her. i'm currently doing a rewatch and typing down my observations on my priv twitter acc, and i can't wait to see what else i can pick up when i start reading the manga again.

Yes, I think so too, Sakura gives a lot of signs throughout the OG manga too, like all the times she instinctively hugs Syaoran??? That's one of the biggest signs....when she's happy or scared, she always instinctively looks for his arms ❤️

But I think the biggest and strongest sign for me was precisely one of the panels I've posted previously...the one where she says that she just knew that the Valentine chocolate she found in her mailbox was made by Syaoran! Without a tag or anything! Like, that is already on another level.

The way CLAMP depicts love connections is so magical. It's like your bond to someone is so strong that it makes you recognize them in any condition, any form. Even if you can't see them in that precise moment.

Even if they're appearing as, I dunno, a dragon. 😉

It's like your special someone got an "aura" of their own and your love for them enables you to see it at any time.

That's what they called them at the shelter. The little black cat and sweetheart of a Labrador Retriever were inseparable. You'd seen them in their kennel and immediately knew that they were yours. Dennis was a little worried about getting 2 pets, but the moment you said 'aw, they're a bonded pair, Den. Just like us!' he was sold.

Now with Charlotte curled up on his chest and Felix watching you with hungry puppy eyes as you fix a snack, Dennis knows it was worth the extra fees. The gentle vibration of Charlotte's content purring and her little paws making biscuits as he pets her sleek black fur soothes him beyond belief. Dennis seemed to be her favorite. Wherever he was, she was right there with him. He liked it.

"Ah, I see. If I'd known you'd steal my man from me, Charlotte, we wouldn't have gotten you," you playfully sass as you plop on the couch next to him, Felix immediately taking his spot in your lap. Some dogs think they're lap dogs (and they're right). Dennis laughs and rolls his eyes before petting Felix behind the ear.

"Right, same goes for you, buddy. That used to be my spot," he says with a smile, one that Felix seems to return. You both chuckle then look at each other, both immobilized by the newest addition to your little family. And for the first time this week, Dennis thought to himself, 'so this is heaven.'

They're one of the graphic artists that are at their little booth. He stumbles upon their table and is instantly in awe of all their different fandom drawings. He hears this sweet shy voice asking if there's anything they can help him with when he's so drawn in and he looks up and his breath is instantly taken away when he see the artist. Like boom love at first sight. And instead of going around the rest of the con, he spends his whole afternoon chatting with artist and falling more in love with how geeky they are just like him. And there's no way in hell he's leaving that place without a phone number because good lord he's just met his soul mate. 🥰

He loves their art and their little indie e-comic that's been making the rounds on Instagram. When signing the comic Mickey buys from them, they sneakily write their phone number on a card and slip it into the cover.

Joel notices Aleksi for the first time in the secluded VIP area at a concert and thinks he's the most breathtakingly beautiful boy he's ever seen ✨

(Yes, Joel is the type of guy who falls in love with random people he sees in public places. It's a real burden sometimes)

His heart flutters when he looks at Aleksi singing along to the songs, but then his heart breaks when he sees another man (Olli) joining him. The way Olli touches the back of Aleksi's hand ever so gently and whispers something in his ear makes it very clear to Joel that they're acting a little too familiar to be just friends 😔💔

When the concert ends, Joel takes one last look at Aleksi, only to find him standing very still by the fence. His (boy)friend is nowhere to be seen and he looks kinda lost tbh. When the VIP area is almost empty and Aleksi still hasn't moved an inch, Joel braces himself and goes over to ask him if everything's alright

"My friend went to get beers fifteen minutes ago and still hasn't come back," he explains and, since Joel seems so helpful, asks Joel to guide him to the bar. That's when it finally occurs to Joel that the breathtakingly beautiful boy is blind

Joel is waaaay too conscious about the beatiful boy's soft hand holding on to his sleeveless arm the whole time they walk there, but he doesn't want to rush them in fear of having Aleksi bumping into people or anything like that. However, he's surprised to notice how flawlessly Aleksi manages to dodge the people walking past them from many directions

At the bar, Joel spots Olli and walks Aleksi to him (Aleksi doesn't say anything, but in his mind he wonders how Joel, a complete stranger, seemed to know exactly who they were looking for)

"Sorrysorrysorry!", Olli says. "I am the worst friend, I know, but I ran into Tommi, and-"

"I thought you were gonna get beers, not bears."

(Joel nearly chokes in his own beer, and both Olli and the big guy next to him blush tremendously)

Then Joel and Aleksi bond over having the most awful friends who abandom them wherever and whenever in order to get laid themselves, because Joel could write a book about the times Porko left him to hook up with someone in the men's room or in the car (Joel is never ever going to give Joonas his car keys again under any excuse)

"Oh, you know Joonas too?" Aleksi asks him, and next they bond over having such a pure of heart, dumb of ass kinda person as a friend (they both love him so much)

And since Joel seems trustworthy enough and because Aleksi just doesn't have the heart to interrupt Olli's courtship displays with his bear (Olli's been wooing him for weeks now), Aleksi asks if Joel would mind walking him home, as he left his cane at home and taking a taxi would be a waste of money, considering he lives less than a kilometre away. Joel, of course, is happy to spend a little more time with Aleksi 🥰

The whole way there, Aleksi is trying so hard not to seem too annoying with his questions, but he really loves listening to Joel speak, especially about music. He can hear the obvious, child-like excitement in his voice, the passion that he has, and he wishes he had given Joel the wrong address so that the walk would never end 💞

Joel, on the other hand, is trying so hard not to picture them as the elderly couple walking hand in hand in front of them 😩 He's trying to ignore the thumb stroking his bicep absentmindedly, trying not to lean his head against Aleksi's...

"Umm, the elevator is out of order, so can you maybe walk me up the stairs as well? It's only six floors" Aleksi asks once they arrive at his building

Aleksi would invite Joel in for a nightcap, but it's kinda messy in there, haha, and Joel for sure would loved to, but he's got, umm, stuff to do, so they just sort of..linger at Aleksi's door, not quite ready to let the other go just yet 🥺

Aleksi's hand is still stroking Joel's arm, until it travels further up to Joel's neck...

And then to Joel's cheek...

And his thumb brushes over Joel's lips...

And then Aleksi does the craziest, bravest thing he's ever done in his life: he kisses Joel 😵

"thanksseeyabye" he says and closes the door to Joel's face 😳

Joel walks down the six storeys in some sort of haze, and only the ping of the elevator awakens him; the elevator seems to be in perfect condition after all...

When Joel gets home, he immediately calls Joonas to inform he's in love 💖 Joonas, however, would have done without knowing this at 2:30 in the morning 😐 He gives Joel Aleksi's number just to get rid of him (but secretly this is all going according to Joonas' plan 😏)

The following evenings, Joel takes Aleksi for a walk around the different city districts, hand in hand, telling him stories from his childhood about how he sneaked out as a teenager to attend a concert in that music club with a fake ID and how he met Joonas for the first time when the tire of his bicycle broke on this crack on the pavement over here that they still haven't fixed and Joonas came to help crying Joel (well, he leaves the 'crying' part out, but Aleksi hears that detail from Joonas later), all the while making sure he explains everything in such a vivid detail that it's easy for Aleksi to imagine what it must have been like, focusing more on the emotions and the atmosphere rather than the visual aspects

Whenever Joel's grip on Aleksi's hand tightens, Aleksi knows they're about to approach a squabble of seagulls, or perhaps an unusually big dog, and his heart is about to burst when he imagines such a fearless-sounding boy being afraid of anything 🥺

And oh, if Aleksi only knew how terrified Joel is for having such strong feelings for this beautiful man who sees the world better than most sighted people ever could ✨

(And maybe Aleksi does know, by the tremble of Joel's hand whenever they're about to kiss at Aleksi's door (he doesn't even bother lying about the elevator being broken anymore))

One time when they arrive back at Aleksi's door after hours of walking hand in hand, he finds the courage at last:

"I finally had some time to clean a bit yesterday, so...are you still in for that nightcap?"

From the audio clips of Daisy's interview, I love the last one because I am someone that when you're with me I'm like that just really making jokes, being silly and stuff, and I am fun but normally that happens with people I'm working with or that, for some other reason, i have to be with regularly. Because when it comes to leaving the house out of my own volition and go out, I AM IMPOSSIBLE 🤣🤣🤣 I maybe do it like 3 times a year and I have to literally psych myself up for it like "Okay, christy, I know it feels like you don't wanna go, but you do, tomorrow you'll be thankful you went" 🙈

So I think that's what Mackie means (which I think he explains in an interview) and I find adorable and so awesome that even if Seb is like that, him and Mackie still have such a great bond, because in my life a lot of times people who do enjoy going out a lot and have all that outward energy just ended up drifting away because we didn't have that sort of compatibility (which is fine, you find different people who enjoy different things). But Mackie doesn't quit on his Home-bug friend and he's a sweetheart for it ❤

Teddy and Clover baking is so sweet, and Teddy being scared that shes going to abandon him when she gets married, like sweet boy. Bro their parents messed them up BAD. I think I have the let's beat up Clover's parents petition all done so all we need is people.

Them both being frozen in time when they see each other in the ballroom is just so precious. then their dance is just so amazingly written. I love how benedict says that she torments him, its such beautiful wording.

Tasmanian Tigers were beautiful & interesting, & it’s sad they were killed off as so many species are. The Blue Calamintha Bee was thought to be extinct until recently. I love Mason Bees, we get them here in the warmer months, and this Blue type looks lovely.

Underneath it’s dark brown, but the visible outer part (where the sun hits) is much lighter - for the nut theme, peanut-coloured 😁 (chocolate and peanut butter 🤭)

I've never thought or Kirinatsu either before now but they make sense! They're cute together! They'd be a lovely couple to have as friends! And yeah, I can clearly see Bakugou's reaction when Kiri tells him he's dating Natsuo! He'd be furious but he'd eventually have to admit that 1) Natsuo is a good guy and 2) the Todorokis are irresistible! 😏

Aw that was so sweet! 😍 But can you imagine Bakugou's and Touya's reaction when they realise Shouto is your daughter's favourite? Every time they're all together, your daughter clings to Shouto and the other two are left glaring at him and he just doesn't understand why they're mad all of a sudden! I can see them sulking together and trying but failing to get your daughters attention and you're trying not to laugh with their reaction to your daughter's first 'crush'! Oh, they're gonna love it when she starts dating! 🤭

Ahh! Yes! They go all out, buy her new toys and sweets, offer to take her out, but she’s only ever interested if Shouto’s involved. I can definitely see Bakugo and Touya bonding over it, flopping down on the couch with matching snarls. Touya grumbling: ‘Your boyfriends a bastard.’ Only for Bakugo to shoot back: ‘He’s your brother.’ Touya shrugs: ‘Yeah. There was a reason I’m estranged.’ All the while your daughters sat on his knee chatting his ears off. Haha! Her dating life is going to be a fun ride for them, for sure.
