Jenna's costumes, rated
By actual popular demand (of at least one person), here are my thoughts on Jenna's Blake's 7 costumes, from the sublime to the very, very 70s.
Screengrabs from here (they prefer their images copied, not linked) and record of what Jenna wears when from here. And if you want more Blake's 7 costume snark (mixed with some love), here are Avon and Servalan.
As seen in The Way Back, Space Fall and Cygnus Alpha.
Not many decent screengrabs of this one, which is a pity since it's one of my favourite early Jenna costumes. It's delicate and pretty at a point when all the other characters are wearing something rough and practical, which helps to sell the idea that Jenna the smuggler was a cut above the ordinary criminals she's locked up with. I would wear this. 8/10.
As seen in Cygnus Alpha, Time Squad, Seek-Locate-Destroy and Breakdown.
Well, the pretty costume was nice while it lasted. The pattern Jenna is wearing here is one I would associate primarily with ironing boards or perhaps baby-led weaning. It has a wipe-clean air to it. The collar adds to the overall playschool vibe. 0/10, I hate it.
As seen in The Web and Mission to Destiny.
Something I don't understand is why most of the costumes on Blake's 7 are beautifully constructed (look at anything Servalan wears) and then there's this. It's an unremarkable red dress with random bits stuck to it. The weird collar bits, made from leftover fabric from Jenna's previous weird collar, look like they would come off if you tugged on them, or chanced this in a hot wash. 4/10.
As seen in Duel, Project Avalon and Deliverance.
Matching outfits!! I'm torn, Jenna is very much losing the cool smuggler vibe at this point in favour of being the Designated Girl, and the fact that she gets the pink power ranger costume doesn't help with that impression. On the other hand, this is a gorgeous piece of costume design: plausible, flattering, well-constructed. Jenna, Blake and Gan are all looking great here. So, reluctantly, I have to approve. 8/10.
As seen in Duel, Project Avalon, Project Avalon, Bounty and Deliverance.
There are a few clothing trends I've never quite understood. Jumper dresses with cutouts. Peep toe boots. Cold shoulder tops. The clue is in the name; I don't understand the circumstances under which you would want to wear what is otherwise a warm and cosy item of clothing that randomly leaves some part of you to freeze. I would otherwise like this fun, futuristic space-y top, but all I can think of when I look at it is this: aren't her arms getting cold? 6/10.
As seen in Orac.
Simple, classic, flattering. The belt echoes her favourite necklace! I really like this, so of course Jenna only wears it for one episode. 9/10.
As seen in Hostage and Redemption.
Ack, I should like this one. We're getting a lovely sense of Grim Future fashion trends here in the repetition of batwing sleeves and belted tunics. She looks comfortable and sophisticated. Stylish Smuggler Jenna is back! The problem is that she looks like a pearly queen and I just can't get past it. 7/10.
Also, if I might be permitted to digress: what the ever-loving fuck is Cally wearing?
As seen in Shadow.
It says something about how Blake's 7 treated its female cast that I couldn't find a screenshot of this costume where Jenna was the focus of the frame. And it's such a pity because I really like this. It has all the same things going on as the pearly queen outfit minus the pearly queen-ness. 9/10.
As seen in Weapon, Pressure Point and Countdown.
I think I might have been watching too much of Rosamund Pike in the Wheel of Time, because I love this costume. I admit that the vibes are all wrong: this is a dress for an aristocratic sorceress, not a floaty tunic for a high-class smuggler, but I simply don't care, it looks fabulous. 15/10, fight me.
As seen in Horizon and Pressure Point (pink) and in Killer (blue).
It's February 1979, Abba are at number 2 in the UK singles chart with Chiquitita, and don't we know it from Jenna's costume choices. Jenna's outfits are that bit too much of their time for me to love them (and the contrast with Blake's Robin Hood chic isn't helping), but there's definitely an extra point here for her silver boots. 7/10.
As seen in Trial, Voice From the Past, The Keeper and Star One.
It's time for the biker leathers and for Jenna to wear a different necklace! Amazing that it's taken her this long to get on board with the leather trend that Avon was on since Time Squad. She must have squeaked her way across the Liberator in this but she makes it look so cool. 10/10, glad she got so much use of this one.
As seen in Gambit.
This is a poor imitation of the blue sorceress dress, unfortunately. Deep colours look great on Jenna but black is too severe. Should have given this costume to Servalan instead. 5/10.
As seen in The Keeper.
And we end with another red dress with bits stuck to it, except that Jenna, by now very much being treated as eye candy, has a lot more cleavage on display. But instead my eye is drawn to the Art Deco fish pattern she seems to be wearing like a sporran. Blake's 7 costume design: never knowingly unbaffling. 6/10.
#blake's 7#costuming#jenna stannis#sally knyvette#jenna's outfits are that bit less mockable than avon's or servalan's but i did my best

Call the Midwife: I had a chat with @fourteen-teacups over the holidays inspired by the Poplar Christmas Club.
We agreed Poplar needs the full late 60s/ early 70s experience.
Nancy needs to start selling Avon to earn a few extra bob to pay off that telly. Shelagh must host a Tupperware party and Val needs to comeback to run the catalogue (preferably Grattans).
Any other ideas?
(Anyone who mentions pampas grass will be reported to Councillor Buckle.)

what are some trends you like about current historical romance (say, the last 3-5 years?)
Lol it's a.......... mixed bag.
--more hybrid/indie/small press that is basically indie authors; it's happening very slowly, and it's nothing compared to the prevalence of erotic romance, monster romance, alien romance etc in that space. But just like PNR kinda died out from traditional publishing (or at least became a space where only a few established giants could survive, and not at the rate they once did) and was reborn in indie pub, not exactly in the same way but through monster romance, fantasy romance, and yes still sooooome more conventional PNR, I think HR may have to go more indie to get a new lease on life. I think that as authors like Scarlett Scott, Elisa Braden, etc. see success with indie/hybrid, as you see more established trad authors release these novella collections like Joanna Shupe and Eva Leigh have when teaming up with more indie-known authors like Sierra Simone, Nicola Davidson, and Adriana Herrera (her historicals are trad but I think she had some indie output before?), it will become more "normal" for historicals to be self-published/indie, but. It's taking some time. I just feel like a lot of young romance readers are getting books off KU more than ever, and there needs to be more HR taking that share. That accessibility will make it easier for readers to take a chance on it and hopefully see that it's not all dusty Heyer repeats.
--Slooooowly HR seems to becoming more diverse, but it's still got a long way to go. There have long been books about people of color and queer people in HR. We need more. Books like A Lady for A Duke, Something Fabulous/Something Spectacular, A Caribbean Heiress in Paris, the Davenports, are good. We. Need. More.
--I don't honestly know that it's happened enough for it to be called a trend, but I hope...? It will? Kink and non-monogamy (not that these things go hand in hand) being more popular. Nicola Davidson writes kinky historical romances and has for a while, often with menages involved. Scarlett Peckham has been writing explicitly kinky HR. Her Avon books, I will say, are *less so*, but her next book does feature non-monogamy. I love kink in romance, and it's ridiculous to me to act like it didn't exist until recently. I think non-monogamous happy endings should also be represented. I would LOVE to see more alpha-type heroes with femdom heroines. (I am... letting this idea percolate in my mind.) The Duke Gets Even being marketed as a book with rough sex as one of the selling points, and having that be explicitly depicted (like, leaving bite marks and bruises very intentionally being portrayed as an act of carnal devotion, not something weird or accidental but okay) as a trad romance was cool.
--Less virgin heroines, and those that are virgins being more likely to get down before marriage, and widowhood not being the only way a woman can be a not-virgin. Nellie Young wasn't a virgin or a widow. I don't think either of Sarah MacLean's Hell's Belle's heroines we've seen thus far were virgins (and I doubt the Duchess, at least, will be) and neither were widows. The heroine of Hotel of Secrets is not a virgin or a widow. Neither of Scarlett Peckham's Society of Sirens heroines are virgins or widows.
--Older-ish heroines? Or rather, heroines who aren't 20-25. Again, Hell's Belles heroines--Sesily is over 30, I wanna say Adelaide is mid to late twenties? The heroine of Scarlett Peckham's next book (The Portrait of a Duchess) is in her late thirties. Sophie Jordan's next heroine is late thirties. Eva Leigh had a great novella out in Villain I'd Like to F... with a couple in their forties.
--A bite niche, but the "he's into me but he's supposed to be with my daughter/stepdaughter"???? Diana Quincy's Her Night with The Duke, Sophie Jordan's upcoming The Countess, Megan Frampton's upcoming His Study in Scandal.
--Heroes who are LOVELY supportive men once you get to know them, but will also also fuck the heroine into the mattress and won't be gentle about it. I love a horrible hero who needs to get worse before he can get better, but I get that this is a harder sell today, especially in trad. This is a happy compromise. He's a Mark Darcy--might be a bit cool and cutting at times, is ultimately a VERY fundamentally decent man, but yes nice boys do fucking kiss (and fuck) like that. The Duke of Clayborn from Sarah MacLean's Heartbreaker and Lockwood from The Duke Gets Even ARE this.
--Not a trend but I hope it will be: books that are set in somewhere not-UK and not-America. Hotel of Secrets is set in Vienna. I fucking ADORED that book. It was magical. The Parisian setting of (part of) A Caribbean Heiress in Paris is similarly great.
--Not a trend but I hope it will be: authors just saying "I do what I want" with regards to accuracy, up front. Like, do the research and then do what the story necessitates and acknowledge this is fantasy. Alexis Hall has notes that make this clear in Something Fabulous and Something Spectacular. I think it's great. More.
--More intersection with witchcraft and magic. India Holton's books are great examples; I think Alexis Hall's Mortal Follies has some magical realism in a similar sense.
Anyway, these are some!

I feel like, if they all grew up together, and Anthony and Cherie had that soft childhood acquaintances to friends to lovers, not only would they have not had that fight, Anthony would also be extremely gentle with her.
But also... when it's time for her to begin her season? Game on.
This man is ruthless, you mean he's been pining for her for years but all of the sudden he has as much chance as any lord who will ask her to dance? Not fair.
Remember how he scared all of Daphne's suitors away? That was just practice.
Pierre? Oh wow, he's been called back to France. Such a shame. No, Simon, I had nothing to do with it. Yes, I did write to his Captain in France citing his gambling problems. Yeah, I know he doesn't gamble. No, I don't think it's odd that I went through such lengths-
Sinclair? Anthony pays two of the finest courtesans to inconspicuously run into him and become his newfound muses, only to have them greet him loudly and indecently somewhere Lady Whistledown will report on and write him off as a Rake. Yes, he did have the courtesans memorize some of his awful poetry to quote at him during their first meeting, Simon, they had to sell it!
The rest are even easier, he clocks the ones he knows she might like, encourages Elias into inviting them into a male only activity and absolutely wrecks their ego, reputation, etc. All in the sneakiest way possible.
It's easy as breathing, he's Violet Bridgerton's son.
Then Hugh happens. Lord Trenlove with his stupid hair and his stupid urge to always chaperone his sister everywhere, the same sister who both Cherie and Elias adore. He is always there. Anthony sees her laugh at one of his jokes and his heart drops to his stomach.
Hugh isn't like the rest of them. He's charming but careful, he's respectful but unafraid of him. He has no flaws, Anthony is stumped. But he will not quit. He's thinking what to do about him as he wanders the hall of Avon House. He opens the wrong door in his distraction and BAM, there he is, Hugh kissing Cherie's cousin. Anthony isn't ashamed, apologetic, or even disgusted (this man has been to enough brothels to have witnessed everything). No no, as Hugh pushes the man away and tries to explain, Anthony is elated. He has never been this happy, this is the best day of his life. He assures both men he saw nothing with the most maniacal grin on his face and walks away.
He is engaged two months later.
OH MY GOD-
OOOOH MY GOD I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS ABOUT THIS!? 😱
Darling first of all, I absolutely love this! 😍 Like, I need to hear more about it, you're absolutely genius! ❤ Cherie and Anthony as childhood acquaintances to friends to lovers? IT'S SUCH A GOOD CONCEPT?! 😍
This man is ruthless, you mean he's been pining for her for years but all of the sudden he has as much chance as any lord who will ask her to dance? Not fair. THIS! THIS IS SO TRUE?!
Like, the minute she debuts, even a couple of months ago, Anthony would be so focused on it, and he would be so tortured about it 😂
Remember how he scared all of Daphne's suitors away? That was just practice. I am already grinning, I hope you know that 😂
The fact that Simon would NOT believe any of his bs, like he could come up with so many reasons and Simon would like, see right through him😂
He would totally get rid of Pierre first, before Pierre could even propose 😈 And for Sinclair omg that's such a good and evil idea! He would actually put so much thought into that plan and Simon would be like, facepalming in the background like "Just tell the girl you love her already!" 😂
Elias would be so oblivious by the way! Like, Anthony is basically using him for his own plans, meanwhile Elias is probably distracted by Cecily 😏
It's easy as breathing, he's Violet Bridgerton's son. Awww he got it from his mama🥰❤
HUGH! HUGH MY BELOVED-
You're right, I think Hugh would be the person that actually makes him in a way insecure about his plans? Because he's amazing and he's handsome and he's very respectful, and Cherie adores him ❤ And the fact that he's Cecily's brother, so they spend a lot of time together...
Awww considering the whole era and how it was back then, Anthony being all normal and accepting about it❤❤❤
He is engaged two months later. I AM LOVING THIS!
Darliiiiing, you are amazing! 🥰😍 Omg I'm gonna re-read this, I love this idea and headcanon, you're so talented! ❤ Thank you so much!❤ ❤❤

Going Winter Fat Biking? Here’s Everything You Need To Buy
Love biking? Then, take your biking interests to the next level with Avon fat tyre cycles. Fat tyre bicycles or fat bikes possess large fat types, between the range of 3.8- to 5-inch wheels. These tires have a greater width compared to the other types of wires. This enables the wide types to work easily on uneven terrain or routes, which aren’t suitable for average bikes. These bikes work perfectly on sand, mud and mostly on snow.
But why are fat cycles in the spotlight? These bikes are perfect for terrains and situations where the normal, average city bikes may not suffix. These bikes can be readily used in all kinds of road situations. Due to the bigger rims, they have wider forks and dropouts. With fat bikes, it is also possible that the weight of a rider is distributed. Due to their flexibility and comfort, the fat tires are more versatile than many other traditional or conventional bikes.
There are many factors which need to be considered when choosing winter fat biking:
Why are fat bikes best for winter biking?
As you ride your fat bike, ensure the trails you plan to explore are clear of restrictions. Check with the authorities and the locals before you head out to explore your biking destination. One of the best deals about fat bikes is that they are multi-use trails and can perform excellently in different terrains.
There are also certain criteria you’d need to consider before you head out on the offbeat track. For instance, understand the safety obligations, gear up and indulge in safe riding throughout the time.
In case you find yourself planning a tour on your fat bikes, here’s everything you need to buy before going ahead:
Wearing multiple layers of clothes, this way, you won’t be shivering in the winter cold.
From the upperwear to lowers, ensure you’re wearing multiple layers of pants as well.
Since your hands will mostly be on the handles, wear the right kind of gloves, for your hands to stay warm. You can wear the gloves depending on the weather conditions. Harsh cold can affect your grip on the handles. Therefore, having gloves or mitts is always a good idea.
Apart from the above mentioned stuff, there are other gears too, which must on you, before you plan on winter biking. The biking accessories by Avon is of top-notch quality, helping you have a wholesome biking experience.
A few of the gears which one must consider include bike helmet, google, bottle for your warm beverage, including gears if you encounter rain or snow. Your shoes also need to be in a a good shape, so that you can pedal firmly, without losing the grip.
Finally, if you are planning on upgrading your cycling gear or fat bikes, check out Avon Cycles for the best quality, best selling products in India.

Do you feel fulfilled in your job/career? I feel pretty stagnant since Covid and I don't really know how to break out of it. I'm 29, and I kinda just want to reset my life quit my job and move back across the country to my parents and try again lol
I mean… no lol not entirely but I’ve done a ton of resets now (just since COVID) and I’m still not like totally happy. I don’t miss my pre COVID job because it was mad stressful and high pressure and I don’t want that stress or deadlines and I don’t want to travel that much for work rn because I have yk the house and stuff to think about, I really have never dug online teaching - not during the pandemic and not now - but I don’t want to go back to academia/in person teaching (my pre pre COVID job). I also am in the insanely fortunate position where I could theoretically swing being like a stay at home and having a side hustle idk selling Avon products or whatever for like fun money but that’d be really depressing for both my partner and me. I liked working on the house a lot but like that’s when there was stuff to actively do. Idk I think I like project based things?? I like saying “this is what needs to be done” and doing it but once I’ve achieved it I wanna move on. I’m not sure that makes sense and I’m actively not sure I have good advice here because as I say, I reset my life all the time lol and I’ve never found something that makes me super happy longterm. I’ve also tried a lot of therapy and stuff and that’s never helped so I am not even gonna suggest that.
what I will say, is if there’s something you actively wanna do - do it (if you can afford to). I’m not sure what I actively wanna do. That’s the whole problem. I guess I really like writing but not for pubs I’ve worked for (again longterm, I enjoyed them for a bit) and I don’t like have enough ideas to freelance full time (I’ve tried). I’d like to write a book but I’m scared to try so idk I just plod along doing random things lol that pay my bills. Also don’t quit working if you can’t pay your bills obvi that’s a bad idea. If you have something you wanna do and have the money to, I say do it. I’m not sure I will, but you should. If you hate it, and you might, you can always try again. Life’s not a game lol or an exam and you can’t win it or pass it. You can just do what feels right at the time and move on when the seasons change.

The Wallflower Wager. By Tessa Dare. Avon, 2019.
Rating: 3/5 stars
Genre: historical romance
Series: Girl Meets Duke #3
Summary: Wealthy and ruthless, Gabriel Duke clawed his way from the lowliest slums to the pinnacle of high society—and now he wants to get even.
Loyal and passionate, Lady Penelope Campion never met a lost or wounded creature she wouldn’t take into her home and her heart.
When her imposing—and attractive—new neighbor demands she clear out the rescued animals, Penny sets him a challenge. She will part with her precious charges, if he can find them loving homes.
Done, Gabriel says. How hard can it be to find homes for a few kittens?
And a two-legged dog.
And a foul-mouthed parrot.
And a goat, an otter, a hedgehog . . .
Easier said than done, for a cold-blooded bastard who wouldn’t know a loving home from a workhouse. Soon he’s covered in cat hair, knee-deep in adorable, and bewitched by a shyly pretty spinster who defies his every attempt to resist. Now she’s set her mind and heart on saving him.
Not if he ruins her first.
***Fullnreview below.***
Content Warnings: graphic sexual content, references to bullying
Overview: I read this book a few weeks ago but forgot to write a review. So here we are. I genrally like Tessa Dare, so I decided to continue on with this series that I started a while back. Overall, this installment didn't wow me as much as some of her other books. While I liked the kind-hearted protagonist, I also felt like Dare could have used her themes better, so for that reason, this book only gets 3 stars from me.
Writing: I don't have much new to say about the prose in this book compared to the prose of Dare's others. It's quick, easy to understand, and balances showing and telling well, all while inserting a lot of Dare's characteristic humor. If I had any criticism, I would say that some of the humor in this book didn't land quite as well for me personally. But your mileage may vary, so don't take my word as gold.
Plot: The non-romance plot of this book follows Gabriel Duke, a rogue who has made his fortune by financially ruining members of the upper class and profiting off their losses. Gabe has recently come into possession of a house in a rather fashionable part of town, and given that it sits next door to a lady's residence, he anticipates it will sell for quite a lot of money.
The lady in question, however, is Lady Penelope Campion - a spinster who uses her property as a haven for dozens of sick, disabled, and otherwise rejected animals. When Penny's aunt gives her an ultimatum on behalf of Penny's brother (get rid of your animals and rejoin fashionable society of you want to stay in London), Penny and Gabe make a pact that is sure to benefit both of them: rehome the animals and not only will Penny get to stay, but Gabe's property will be all the more attractive.
The parts I liked most in this plot were moments when Penny pushed back against Gabe's plans or when Gabe stood up to other people on Penny's behalf. I love an independent heroine with a strong sense of what's right, and I like when heroes with obvious flaws show that disreapecting women isn't one of them.
However, there were also a few things that didn't work for me. For one, Gabe's battle with indoor plumbing felt a little too silly, and I think a lot more could have been done to engage with the idea of modernity in this book. For two, Penny and Gabe seem to rehome the animals way too easily and with very little emotional reaction from Penny, which made them feel less important. For three, the subplot between Hammond (the architect) and Mrs. Burns (the housekeeper) felt a little random and didn't really compliment the main plot.
Characters: Penny, our heroine, is rather easy to like because she is so big-hearted and cares deeply for broken things. While these qualities are good on their own, they are made more endearing once the reader discovers that Penny had a rough upbringing; her soft heart in spite of the troubles she faced is incredibly inspiring, and I loved that she opened herself up to others - not just to Gabe, but to her closest friends.
Gabe, our hero, is a little gruff and stubborn, but he did have moments when that facade cracked. I liked him best in the moments where he defended Penny's right to make her own decisions. His callousness towards the animals did grate on me sometimes, and I think not enough was made of the fact that he tried to hire actors to trick Penny into giving her animals away faster, but it was clear by the end that he came to understand Penny's care, so I guess it was fine in the long run.
Supporting characters were fine, though none of them blew me away. I enjoyed Penny's friendships with the other wallflowers, and the husbands were kind of charming in their fierce loyalty and protectiveness. The only characters that seemed underdeveloped were Hammond and Mrs. Burns; I can't for the life of me decide whether their subplot was inserted for laughs or for something else, but whatever the reason, they felt random and didn't compliment the others at all.
Romance: Gabe and Penny's romance was ok; not my favorite, but not the worst either. I liked that they worked together to achieve the same goal, even if their motivations were different, and I liked that Gabe was constantly torn between his desire for financial gain and his attraction to Penny.
However, I do think Dare could have put more pressure on the thematic connection between Penny's care for rejected animals and Gabe's past. While I did like that Dare didn't overdo this connection, it also felt like a non-issue, and I think more could have been done.
Moreover, I think Gabe abandoned his economic goals a little too quickly, and more inner conflict would have made the romance more angsty. It also would have helped the narrative flow better towards the end, when Gabe shows he hasn't completely abandoned his old ways. I rather liked the end conflict and thought it brought a lot of concerns to a head, but it would have been nice if the lead up was spread more diffusely throughout the rest of the narrative.
TL;DR: Tessa Dare's The Wallflower Wager is charming in some respects, but doesn't quite dig deeply into the themes it introduces. The kind-hearted heroine and fiercely loyal friend group makes this book worth the read, however, even if I personally found the romance to be a bit silly and narratively lacking.

do you have any small business ideas? 😃
here are some small business ideas: selling homemade food products (like jam or baked goods), a small fast food restaurant, life coaching, dating consultancy, freelance writing, starting a boba shop, selling homemade candles, selling some stuff you've knitted/crocheted, taking art commissions, affiliate marketing (like for beauty products/cosmetics — think avon representatives!), a pet-sitting service (i.e. taking care of other ppl's pets like dogs, cats, etc.), home repairs, app creation, a small retail shop (online or physical), selling food stuff like pizza slices or ice cream in a stall or moving van, offering pageant/sports/dance/singing etc. training.

Pre-Free Range Pumpkins Thoughts
In the before-times... I hadn't opened my game store or really sold much on Amazon or eBay... but I had a vision!
The purpose of Wing and a Prayer Enterprises LLC is to operate as a corporation legally and lawfully in the state of Texas. Our mission is the empowerment of women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors thereby improving the quality of life for women, men, communities and families regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation.
Our mission is the empowerment of women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors thereby improving the quality of life for women, men, communities and families regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation
Why did I start Wing and a Prayer Enterprises? I have always wanted (read needed) to be in charge of a successful company so I thought, “I’ll just start my own!” My first business was when I was 12 years old. I sold fresh produce to my neighbors. I went around to the local farms and negotiated with the farmers on prices for their fruits and vegetables. The produce was hand delivered by me… I carried it along in my little wagon that my father and I had built the year before. (This probably explains my life-long love affair with power tools!) That first summer I made an amazing $40 in profit. I was hooked!!! The next summer I expanded my business knowledge by offering babysitting services. Once again, I used flyers to get the word out. Why did I use flyers, you may ask? Well, when I was 9 years old my parents moved from Chicago to Erie… to make friends I made posters and signs and flyers introducing myself to the neighborhood and asking kids to come by and meet me so we could be friends… and it worked!!!
Fast forward to college… I sold lingerie and toys through a party plan to the girls in the dorms… this is why Simply Erotic Xtras seemed like such a good idea to me. Blah blah blah (I never finished this thought, so it was left off of the website. In fact, I think most of this never made it there.)
I was the local Avon lady in the early 90s… and I got the brilliant idea to make a website promoting myself (this was early days folks… not everyone used a mouse). My ISP was having a hard time keeping up with the traffic to my site (500 hits per day) and Avon corporate wasn’t too thrilled since they were apparently commissioning a site themselves. Long story short… I’m not allowed to sell Avon any more. I made the local news and was interviewed by MSNBC.
Wing and a Prayer Enterprises, LLC is a woman-owned business. We offer domain services, email hosting, clothing, resume review, estate sales, adult toys....

𝐵𝐿𝑈𝐸 𝐻𝑂𝑈𝑅 - 𝐹𝑂𝑈𝑅
tw: none

you stood awkwardly in the furthest corner of avon's kitchen while everyone else gathered around the large dining table where various crafting materials were scattered messily atop the surface. nobody seemed to pay you any mind or even notice your presence lurking just mere feet away from them, and you couldn't decide if that made you feel better or worse. the room was filled with loud talking and an eruption of laughter every few minutes as they tried to brainstorm ideas for the two youngest boys to use for their upcoming class project. you just wanted to go home, clearly your group wasn't planning to get any work done while you all were there. why did you even come in the first place, then?
"we can challenge people to a dance battle against us," riki suggested before breaking out into some dumb tiktok dance trend. cali rolled her eyes and told him it was a stupid idea.
"what would that even accomplish?" jungwon asked, twirling a marker around between his fingers.
"we'd be getting people to engage in exercise and therefore reducing obesity rates," riki stated proudly like he'd been practicing to say that.
"we're supposed to collect money to donate to our assigned organization, how are we gonna do that? renegade until people pay us to stop?"
you couldn't hold back the small snicker that tumbled from your lips but you were quick to cover it with a fake cough, not wanting them to know you were listening in. however, your plan didn't hold up as multiple pairs of eyes trained on you.
"do you have a better idea?" cali snapped viciously, fixing you with a steely glare. you noticed the way jay nudged her lightly with his elbow and had to bite back a satisfied smile.
"hm, a bake sale might be your best option. people go crazy over blue's pastries," you suggested with a small shrug, eyeing the aforementioned girl across the room whose eyes lit up in excitement.
"oh, i'd be happy to bake some things for you guys to sell!" she chirped, then met your eye with a sheepish grin. "but i'll need my baking assistant to help..."
cali's head whipped around to train the same icy glare on blue, but the latter paid no mind as she gave you a hopeful look. your eyes widened slightly in surprise at the thought of blue wanting to actually spend any time with you. you hadn't spoken to any of the girls aside from avon since new year's, let alone hung out with them willingly. you glanced around warily to find all eyes on you waiting for your answer which only served to make you feel even more conscious of yourself. honestly, the idea wasn't all that bad and at least it wasn't cali asking to spend time with you alone.
"i guess i can help out," you echoed quietly in response, watching as blue's smile widened gleefully.
"good, now that we've got that settled, cali, y/n and i have a project we need to work on," jake spoke up suddenly, locating his bag that he'd dropped near the archway leading between rooms before motioning for the two of you to follow him. taking in a deep breath, you swung your own bag over your shoulder and hurried out of the kitchen, trying your hardest to not notice when cali turned and kissed jay abruptly before following the two of you, as well.

Welcome to day 6 of random Star Wars shitposty headcanons!
I’m so sorry btw, some of these ended up kinda angst 😬
-Mandalorians have Flannel shirt energy. Like they just wear flannels in their down time. Always. Their pyjamas? Flannel. First date? Flannel. If they’re not on the battle field, they’re wearing flannel. Jango Fett wore flannel boxers for good luck. The one day he didn’t wear them Windu cut his head off. Boba now wears flannel boxers for good luck.
-Obi-Wan Kenobi gets more and more Scottish the more emotional he gets. Sometimes in council meetings they legitimately cannot understand him so they just smile and nod. It did however lead to a 13 year old Anakin learning some creative insults over the years. Everyone remembers the time Yoda caught the kids arm with a practice saber and the teen yelled “yer da sells Avon ya wrinkly green bawbag”.
-The clones drink an insane amount of caf. The problem is they all have very specific orders. The space starbucks employees hate them. One will come in and suddenly they have to make like 50 drinks. Some are fine - like Wolffe and Cody just take it black, and Echo will just get a tea. Tup just gets a hot chocolate. But then someone (looking at Fives because mans is DRaMATIC) will turn up in sunglasses and order a Venti Iced Skinny Hazlenut Macchiato, Sugar-Free syrup, extra shot, lite ice, no whip or some shit and hold everything up. That’s not even getting into Kix and the other medics (and probably Rex too tbf, my guy is tired) who order drinks with more espresso shots than should be legally allowed. Fox is banned for life or has a lifelong loyalty card and there’s no in between.
-Clones like camping. Just vibing under the stars together with crappy food and cheap tents. It’s good for team building, but also counts as training so they don’t feel guilty for it.
-After leaving the empire, Kallus really doesn’t like wearing a helmet because it reminds him of who he used to be, and he’s trying very hard to move past that point of his life. The ghost crew are super reluctant to let him on the frontline in case he gets hurt. Eventually Rex just makes him wear Gregor’s old chest plate and vambraces because his brother didn’t wear them and died, and he wouldn’t let that happen to another member of his family, regardless of who they used to be.
-Thrawn does yoga in the mornings and evenings so he can maintain his fight training schedule without pulling a muscle. He’s mad flexible. It’s very stressful on the ship cos officers will go to deliver messages and just find him in weird positions thinking. One new transfer once had to tell him about a rebel insurrection whilst the grand admiral was in the crab position. It was awkward.
-On a definitely unrelated note, Eli Vanto sucks at yoga and finds Thrawn being good at it infuriating.
-Dooku does all of his own gardening because a droid stepped on his carnations and he was not having that. (He also did not approve of Ventress’s snide “what in carnation?!” Comment when he informed her). Dooku is actually where Qui-Gon got his love for plants. He likes the way they feel in the force.
-Fenn Rau and Bo-Katan were actually pretty good friends. They’d fly around and chat shit about once a week just to relax when they were younger.
-Pre-Grogu Din Djarin always wanted a pet, but never had a way to look after them properly. So every time he was on a planet he’d go to shelters and play with the animals there to make sure they had fun at least once in their lives.
-At any given moment at least one room on a 501st ship is blasting cheese room music so that the troopers can unwind together for a bit before their next mission. It’s surprisingly effective given that they’re just dancing together.
-As a way to understand other cultures and find harmony with the force all of the Jedi learn an instrument. Yoda played the piccolo, Dooku played the flute. Qui-Gon played the bongos, Obi-Wan plays the violin. Anakin learnt the guitar, and one of the reasons he wears the glove over his prosthetic is so he can still play. But little Ahsoka? She got a wholeass drumset. She’s pretty good too, but she likes 3am to be her practice time. Quinlan is super proud that she took his advice. Anakin and Obi want to kill the kiffar on principle.
As usual, hope you enjoy my shitpost. Any thought, criticism or idea is welcome. Have a goodun lads!

[ OLIVIA HOLT, SHE/HER, CIS WOMAN ] — [ REGAN MORGAN ] is a child of [ MORPHEUS ] with the power of [ PRECOGNITIVE DREAMING ] . they were born in [ 1995 ] and have been in nemean lion since [ 2019 ] . with the change, they [ ARE TRAINING IN ] the [ AMBASSADOR ] role which makes sense since they’re usually [ SCROLLING HER CURSED TIKTOK FYP & CONFUSING HER FOLLOWERS ON TWITTER ] . if you’d like to meet them try the [ MOON ] building .
tl;dr she’s a deranged menace to society
BASICS
hometown: milford, pennsylvania
eye color: brown
hair color: blonde
height: 5′3
sexuality: bisexual
birthday: january 19, 1995 ( capricorn )
BIO
regan’s mother was never the type to settle down. before meeting morpheus, her longest relationship had been three months. so when the guy seemed commitment-phobic, that was perfect for her. until, of course, she found out she was pregnant. she didn’t want to get married but she was at an age where the idea of motherhood...didn’t repulse her. so she wanted to keep the baby, at which point the father of her child didn’t get down on one knee, he started to explain the kinds of responsibilities she’d face as the mother of his child.
having the child of a god in her womb inflated her ego, which was pretty impressive considering how big it already was. see, regan’s mother was a southern belle without any of the class or manners. she’d breezed through the pageant circuit as a teen, winning a number of titles with minimal effort. her talent was essentially crying on demand and looking pretty while doing it. knowing she’d slept with a god, like an honest to...god felt sort of fitting. like, duh, who else would she have her first child with?
this also led to a brief but intense fixation with shakespeare, who name dropped gods like it was his job, which led to her choosing the name regan from king lear.
she moved to pennsylvania with regan when her daughter was only four years old, because some guy practically begged her to let him take care of her, and she had nowhere better to go. until, eventually, she did, thanks to the world of avon. her mother started selling out of boredom but then it turned out she was good at it, so good that she could easily buy a place once she got bored of her rich boyfriend, and move out with regan.
thankfully, her mother got out of the pyramid scheme before she got in too deep. she was hired by an actual, reputable cosmetics company and given a desk job to work in sales, which she was still a natural at. because she had a full time job now, regan spent a lot of time with nannies...and that’s nannies plural because regan was one of those kids who drove her caretakers to quit on a regular basis.
but not because she was a handful. she was pretty self-sufficient, actually, and totally well-behaved, she was just kind of...weird. she’d leave her room for dinner with all of her clothes suddenly on backwards and say nothing as if it was normal and act confused when her nanny asked about it. she’d stare at the tv when it was off, she’d spend one day only speaking in whispers, she’d write vaguely threatening messages on the mirror with her mother’s red lipstick.
all of this was because regan knew it was scary to adults, which made it fun for her. she wasn’t, like, actually disturbed. well, aside from the dreams she had sometimes. she’d have a dream about a baby bird falling from a nest, she’d watch its chest move for minutes before it died, then she’d wake up the next day and find a dead bird outside the sliding glass doors to the backyard.
for a while she thought they were coincidences. then she thought she was making things happen in her sleep, and that it was her job to stop bad things from happening, to save every baby bird that asked for help in her dreams. it took her a few years to accept that just because she sometimes saw the future didn’t mean she had any power to change it. she was warned so she could prepare herself, which only made her feel more powerless.
but being regan, she chose to cope with this aspect of her life with avoidance and humor. she doesn’t want to pick and choose what she worries about and what she doesn’t, so she decided a long time ago not to take anything seriously.
for reasons unknown, regan’s mother actually decided to have another child after regan. but she was unconventional, too, hence regan being...the way she is, so she never actually married the father of regan’s half-brother, but they have been together for the past 15 years, so.
her brother is eleven years younger than she is, so in regan’s mind, a baby. whenever left with the task of babysitting him while the two were growing up, it would be regan who suggested ice cream for breakfast and sock sliding around the living room at dangerous speeds.
RANDOM FACTS
i want to v*mit saying this but.....she’s kind of like........the female version of stevesuptic. except for she’s cute <3
her entire twitch account is kind of satirical, like it’s very hard to gauge what her actual personality is. i don’t think her viewers bully her the way they bully steve bc she would bully them back LMAO but they ask her a lot of random ass super weird sometimes borderline disturbing questions and she answers them like it’s normal
she def has weird/creepy drawings whenever playing gartic phone tho /:
ig you could say her channel is like shit posting but make it a streamer. she has a really nice set up and she always looks made up in her streams but then the content is her playing like a cat dating sim for four hours
she’s actually pretty shit at most games that require any level of skill and her following comes entirely from her personality and her Brand ig, she’s just entertaining to watch bc she says and does the most ??? things. like she’s not a gamer girl and doesn’t say she is she just has a twitch and plays games for the attention
also she has a cat named muffintop (best part of the muffin, not the offensive term for a woman’s stomach, though she will say that’s what it means if someone asks) who she regularly posts memes of and like most of her twitch emotes are her cat. you can find examples on her pinterest board lmao
i think it’s pretty hard to get an actual vision out of regan? she mostly keeps those to herself and just lies about her dreams. she’ll just be like, “yeah actually i had a dream you were gonna choke on some oatmeal so stay safe out there.” she’s also only partially sure when a dream is actually about the future.
her like <3 symbol that represents her is butterflies, she has a ton of butterfly shit
POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS
idk if i am requesting a roommate for once, idk if i wanna subject anyone to that
someone naive who believes her any time she says something is Going To Happen, no matter how stupid it is and no matter how many times things simply do not happen??
a bestie because...............................i just feel like she wormed her way into someone’s inner circle and they’re just stuck with her now
#idek how to describe her so this is not helpful actually#nlintro#𝙵𝙸𝙻𝙴𝙳 𝚄𝙽𝙳𝙴𝚁 ( 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐 ) * regan#this is such a fever dream

SECRET: hehehehehehehehehehe
* brief backstory .
griffin’s dad is a used-car salesman and his mom is an attorney who sells avon on the side , so g grew up knowing how to talk . it already helped that he’d been sociable from the start , oftentimes being scolded by his mom for talking the ear off of the person sitting next to them on the subway . but his parents had to be persuasive for a living and that transferred onto griffin . the popular kid to some and the class clown to others , griffin spent his middle and high school years buttering people up with his words and friendship , with his long brown eyelashes and boyish grin . it got him the last bag of chips from the snack cart , an extra five points on his calculus quiz , and free handles of liquor from the seniors . being so well-liked meant griffin was invited to a lot of parties , and that’s where the addiction began . he’s addicted to alcohol , to any drug that gets his veins feeling like electricity , to meeting strangers in loud basements and that pounding feeling in the back of his temple . this carried onto college , so griffin never really got the chance to grow up . he’d never been smacked with the reality that life isn’t all tequila shots and drake songs , and it didn’t help that the profession his parents introduced him to only required an ironed suit from him at the most . he went from one crowded room to another , this one just with more briefcases , surrounded by strangers once more and doing a line with his colleagues . now , working at masters in the heart of the world’s most vibrating city , who knows how long before griffin takes his lifestyle too far ?
* what he does in the office .
he’s a lobbyist for masters ! he’s been there for four years now . basically he works for masters as a messenger to the government . masters is huge and influential and powerful and sometimes they wanna introduce or ban or amend legislations all in the name of making them more powerful and monopolistic , and that’s where griffin comes in . his job is to basically schmooze for the benefit of the company . it sounds like a super important job and it is , and griffin does it well . he’s still immature though 💔 catch him recovering from a hangover and sleeping on his desk most days of the week .
* his personality, summarized .
super sociable and energetic when he’s not hungover , mostly nice but can get snappy if he has a reason to be . tends to ramble . the biggest party animal ever , almost to an insane amount . is down for any opportunity to get lit , no matter the time of day or who he’s with . don’t trust him for anything , he’ll forget about it but at least not on purpose . he’s loyal to the people he likes though so that’s nice !
* wanted connections .
long-term relationship on the verge of ending ( open to f / nb ) : i have a lot of ideas for this and i’d love someone to do this with soooooo hmu if ur tryna plot this mess out 👀 best friend ( open to m / f / nb ) : self-explanatory but everyone loves a fun best friends duo fwb ( open to f / nb ) : I MEANNNNNNNN B) THIS?????? drugs tw tho ( open to f / nb ) : mayb they’re crazy when 2gether 🤪 ex-friend ( open to m / f / nb ) : imagine the DRAMA ex ( open to f / nb ) : everyone loves a messy ex plot . it’s me , i’m everyone . exes to besties ( open to f / nb ) : can u imaGINE enemy ( open to m / f / nb ) : there’s definitely someone in this world who hates griffin . or on the flip side , this might be someone he hates ! maybe it’s even mutual personal assistant/intern ( open to m / f / nb ) : SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS MAN NOT GET FIRED . also this connection has sooooooo much potential to it too ! sibling ( open to m / f / nb ) : can be sibling-sibling , half-siblings , step-siblings , any of it ! dealer ( open to m / f / nb ) : yanno.
