Ask: Short stack for shortstacks(...?)

Most yinglets can sit at a human table/chair of standard height (if you don't mind having only their heads visible to others/requiring them to pull their plate to the table's edge), but for easier access to the table's contents and ensuring visibility of the upper torso at yinglet sitting height, raising the seat by 6 inches or so will do a lot for their comfort. However (and this is an edit after considering the question a bit more thoroughly), I'm pretty sure if I went to someone's place and they went "oh hey Avi's here, here's some textbooks to sit on!" I'd go "...eh, no zhanks," and either stand on the chair or sit someplace else. I'd even keep a set of stackable risers at home and take 'em with me for situations like these to minimise awkwardness, even though any host in a world where yinglets existed would ideally have a set at the ready.

A previous version of this post on Cohost had the yinglet example character casually conversing while sitting on a stack of textbooks, but lately one of the things that's been appealing to me most about yinglets as a species is -- hey, despite the small size, that's a whole-ass person in there, and they should be treated how they want to be! In my case, I'm short, impulsive, creaturelike, occasionally driven by weird instincts, and I might enjoy frequent headpats (though really, who doesn't?), but I deserve to get to sit at a comfortable height like anyone else, human or not. Pretty sure other yinglets would appreciate the thought, too.

The first one! I think they kind of get progressively worse unfortunately (We don't talk about Bloody Carte) so the 1st and 2nd seasons are my top two. Judgement Boy is definitely my favorite character but Clockmaster is a close second! I like their designs and attitudes a lot lol

Would love to hear abt ur Luke/nico thoughts if u have any…such an interesting dynamic to me and I don’t think it’s often discussed

unfortunately there's no way for me to come out of this sounding same because they've literally never interacted on-camera/off-ice but i find their whole deal so compelling, like conceptually (best friend's brother, brother's best friend, classic)

but there's so many tiny things you see on the ice that i'm just rattling the bars of my enclosure because i need to know what they're like with each other like when luke joined the team out of umich he brought up nico as one of the guys that's been helping out and last year he said nico was the heartbeat of the team (per msg guys) and then before the season started nico had an interview about how hard luke's been working and how he's gonna have a big year. i don't think this answers your question lol but i'm with you because they need to be studied like bugs

also there's the bit in the ea video where luke just whispers "dude there's something up with nico on here" under his breath and i haven't decided the implications yet but it tickles me

🐶 the members/his ler will call out to him , "Sky~" , while teasing & cooing at him in order to get his cherry-blossom pink blush. he's a whole sky-scape! 😍🌸 so purty.

nah but I made myself sad js now imagining him being really down and out about his smile , believing that it's the opposite of beautiful (i almost had a stroke writing that out ☠️) but he tried to hide it from his members , & ofc they find out anyway :')) who wouldn't be able to notice their sweet lil puppy tryna hide his smile when they tickle him ??

🐶 it takes a loooot of reassurance and sweet cuddles and kisses , both the little things and the big things , & it's all worth it because eventually he comes back into himself , letting his smile & laugh overtake the atmosphere freely !! shining light and cloud-soft love everywhere it reaches. 😍🥰 (AS HE SHOULD 🗣️)

🐶 i imagine he has the cuuuutest squeaky/gasping bouts of laughter when they do the grab-and-shake/digging fingertips tickle method 🫠 he tries to curl up into himself but his ler's body is preventing him from doing so , and his hands are like little paws against his chest , head thrown back , eyes becoming pretty crescents and , most importantly , his smile is wide and unrestrained as he gasps through squealy laughter.

🐶 hermit crabs often because of one sly little fox , who's always going for the junction where behind his ears meets his nape (maybe it's js me but that area is so ticklish for me !! 😭 nowhere else on my neck !! sickening !!)

🐶 really likes to sprawl out on his ler / have them sprawl out on top of him , like a comforting weighted blanket , after a particularly adventurous session. he'll fall asleep w/ a smile that eventually morphs into his cute lil pout and aaaughghhh 😩🤲🏽 u just can't resist some smooches here and there.

🐶 hides his face in his ler's neck when he's particularly shy & because he's a menace thru and thru , no matter what situation he's in , he will straight up grapple them into a hug even as they dig into his sides , even as he howls with laughter into their shoulder. only way to untangle him is to go for the feeties — scribble on the bottom of the puppy's paws and he's springing open like a lock with a shriek. & the punishment is even MOREEE tickles than previously bargained for !! (maybe it was his plan all along...? 🙂‍↕️)

🐶 he's got a mole on his upper back / right below his neck line , a little to the right , and it's a common target during tickle seshes ; he's so used to getting a beginning - during - and ending kiss pressed to that very mole so when he's in a lee mood , he subconsciously reaches back and strokes over it. when the members caught on , he was forced into submission a loooot more often 😌 & he didn't catch on at first !! he was probably thinking everybody became Aware and Alive all of a sudden because how could they tell he wanted to be tickled in that moment?? hm hm suspish suspish & that's what made that little window of time so delicious~ 😝🫠

🐶 if he's hungry/thirsty after being tickled , he likes to sit and lean back against his ler's tummy + torso with them laying on their side as they rub his back in a soothing manner while he's munching/sipping on his snacks :(( he really likes chips and his guilty pleasure are the cute pop culture themed fizzy & fruity drinks.

🐶 pleaseeee give him back and head scratches/rubs to lull him to sleep :(( rub at his tummy like u would a puppy :(( gently stroke his nose bridge or rub his cheekbones :(( he sleeps very wonderfully after a rough tickle session !!

theirs is my favorite dynamic, i’m a sucker for older siblings and the rivalry/friendship they have. it’s their job to protect the little siblings but also to protect each other. you grow up being raised the same way so they have the same/similar issues and understand one another. they might disagree often and be the first ones to fight but they’ll always have one anothers back. also im a big fan of nightwing and red hood, another blue and red brother duo from DC, and i just live for the angst and comfort alsksoxodjgjfj

rottmnt mikey and leo is another favorite of mine! the goofy older brother and younger brother it’s comforting cus leos a protector of mikey but their the same level of silly adhd energy and it’s a relationship similar to me and my little sister so i love them

Micans was born in Garlean territory, the youngest of four children. His mother passed away shortly after his birth, something his father blamed him for until his dying day. His siblings bid him to run, and so he did, eventually making his way to Eorzea and starting his journey as the Warrior of Light. At times he believes Hydaelyn made the right choice, as the very Crystal of Light She bestowed upon him was furthering his light poisoning.
