I love seeing your Avalon characters!! Is there anything else we can learn abt them?
Thanks so much for asking! Avalon is a story very close to my heart and is honestly kind of the antithesis of Golden Hour. I don’t get to work on it often, so you’ll have to put up with some (very) old character art.
It can be a bit to bite off explanation wise due to it being scifi, so I did my best to make sure context was available for character descriptions:
Glossary:
Avalon- Name of the story, but also the name of a very technologically and ecologically advanced utopian city-state. They’re generally a closed off society, save for special exchange programs and the culture itself is based on the philosophy that you can learn intrapersonal empathy through your relationship with plants and nature (how to love and care for something that cannot speak or communicate directly to you). There’s a lot I can say here but the main thing is that some generations ago they handed their judicial system off to an AI/OS called Venus that now oversees nearly all aspects of their society. There are a lot of very interesting aspects to their societal structure but I won’t go listing em all out.
Avalonian- Someone who was born in and lives in Avalon. Genetically distinct variation of humans. Typically verdant or cerulean in complexion, Avalonians have been subject to genetic modification for many generations, at first as a way to better protect their bodies from residual radiation present in the area, and much later down the line for things like temperament/superficial aesthetics/etc., though genetic diversity is still very present, as it is understood to be beneficial and important. Typically, Avalonians have their genetic sequences picked out by Venus for the specific purpose of fulfilling a role in their society.
Venus- the AI/OS in question. Does not have a physical body for sometime, but may eventually have something similar to a large flower (as it is illegal in Avalon to construct AI that imitates a human person). As Avalonians do not have true parental figures do to being born of extracorporeal pregnancy (artificial womb), so Venus is often regarding as a mother figure.
Scena- Huge indoor city located in modern day Los Angeles. Ended up clinging to golden age film as a cultural identity, and has a very deco vibe about it. Steampunk without the steam, import economy reliant on what technology and recourse Avalon is willing to share. Typically non-Avalonians live here, and there are a lot of human-bodied AI running about as well, usually as household servants or entertainers.
Minervan- a person born in Avalon who exiled to live in one of the embassies/territories outside of Avalon itself. Typically they haven’t done anything heinous but a little bit of off-behavior in a very strict society + a review of their genetic code may show they have a propensity to. The less advanced OS in this society is named (you guessed it) Minerva, and they do not have a line of contact to Venus. Not considered to be Avalonian by Avalonian standards.
Characters of importance:
Laurel Leigh (she/her): an android originally from Scena that unlocked sentience & free will as result of a fluke injury to her CPU. Not having much of a schema between right & wrong, she often participates in whatever might offer a bit of camaraderie. Generally kind and enthusiastic, she retains an encyclopedic knowledge, though the contents of which is often inapplicable to the real world outside of a trivia competition.
Eli (He/him): Having run away from his city of origin as a teenager, Eli has lived in the highly hostile outskirts for some time now, and has learned to adapt to surviving in the extreme weather and pollution. Worry-prone and serious, he is often very protective of Laurel for her gullibility and vulnerable state, and is generally a bit suspicious of Avalon’s habit of hoarding resources and innovation for themselves. Generally a well meaning, if slightly blunt individual, he has a knack for getting others to question their own resolve and introspect a bit. He is highly intelligent and skilled in improvised engineering.
Solani Fusarium (they/them): The main character of the story, and the hardest to describe in short since their character goes through a lot of growth.
An Avalonian who works in agritech, specifically in the realms of meat cultivation & animal welfare. Very intelligent but can be a bit socially daft toward non-Avalonians in a way that can feel both patronizing and overly familiar, though does not harbor ill-intent beyond a bit of teasing.
They are ultimately the person who ends up playing hosting/playing ambassador to Eli and Laurel when they arrive as unexpected guests to Avalon. This rather leisurely stay not last terribly long as there is a general focus on getting them back out as they do not have visas, and Solani follows them out to Scena on a six-month exchange program after about a weeks time. Originally not seeing eye-to-eye, Eli and Solani grow much closer over this time, and all three of them become very tight knit (Solani and Laurel have always gotten along.)
Without giving away much, Solani breaks some Avalonian rules through good intention and is entirely exiled as an alternative to literally being executed
Not even allowed to live in a Minervan embassy, they are left in an odd state where they cannot really be defined as Avalonian or “human”, this experience of existing in between states and learning to redefine values outside of their formally very rigid structure mirroring Laurel’s situation. Solani, now aware of Venus/Avalon’s propensity for cruelty is now painfully aware of their own a concept that had never occurred to them. (Avalons are not cruel, therefore nothing I do can be cruel.)
They go to live in Scena and get a receptionist job at a company that manages railways. Generally, this period in their life is pretty tough for them, though they remain determined in the resolve to remain empathetic and ethical despite the bitterness and anger that grows in them. They begin to uncover what purpose they were born for.
The Ambassador (she/her): A nameless Avalonian known only as “The Ambassador” who is something of Avalon’s PM. Considered to be the direct interpreter and physical “body” of Venus before the actual body is constructed. Caring but strict, may come across cold. Also considered a mother figure.
Lesser characters:
Avium (he/him): Solani’s (former) partner. Seems to be a bit rebellious, but is in truth very status-quo.
Selah (he/him): A Minervan and Solani’s coworker, an engineer at the railway company. Becomes one of Solani’s closer friends, and often checks them in to the Embassy so Solani can be in a more familiar environment for periods of time. Seems to oscillate between being generous and selfish, has a habit of acting out of interest.
Tom (he/him): A [non-Avalonian] archivist and inventor that lives in a remote part of Avalon. He manages most of Avalon’s history, including parts that are not known to the general public and is the person set to invent Venus’ body.
Ada (she/her): Tom’s daughter. May not be human.
And ofc there’s much more minor cast as well, but no one I have pics of haha
#thanks for asking I literally never get to talk about/work on this project but I love love love it#also sorry if this posts with weird spacing I’m on mobile#Avalon#Avalon faq#asks#anonymous#talking

Kerr Avon's costumes, rated
The sequel to Romana II's costumes, rated, here by popular* request! (*maybe not very popular.)
Screengrabs from here (copied rather than linked per their FAQs). Invaluable record of what Avon actually wears in which episode from here. I haven't included overcoats, spacesuits, or anything Avon doesn't actively choose to wear, like prison clothes. Which means that rating this monstrosity
is left as an exercise for the reader.
I've also not done every single variation on black jackets with studded panels, even when they are technically different black jackets with studded panels, because otherwise we'd be here all night.
As seen in Space Fall and Cygnus Alpha.
Ugh. It's fine. The heights of bonkersness that Blake's 7 costume design would reach are not even really hinted at here. It's a perfectly reasonable outfit - grey shirt, grey trousers, grey tabard-thing. Add a name badge and Avon could be stocking shelves in a fancy supermarket. I'll allow that it does look comfortable, which will not be a theme of much else on this list. 5/10.
As seen in Time Squad.
I don't hate the brown patchwork thing (though brown is rightly Blake's colour), but what's going on with the larger square over his stomach? I feel like he's about to do some welding or something and it's there to protect his clothes, but it is his clothes. Avon only wore this outfit once, and who can blame him? 2/10.
As seen in The Web, Seek-Locate-Destroy, Mission to Destiny, Duel, Project Avalon, Breakdown, and Deliverance.
I think this one may have suffered from the passage of time. Because I look at it and think, why has Avon chosen to dress like an old-fashioned stereo system? But from the vantage point of 1978, I guess Avon had chosen to dress like a decidedly modern stereo system. Look at those rounded corners, he could be a first-gen iPod. And the matching grey of collar and cuffs is a nice touch. None of this answers the question of why he has buttons across his tits, but there are some things that are not for us to know. 8/10.
As seen in Bounty and Orac.
Oooh, green. Green is a nice change. And if you're watching Blake's 7 and you're enjoying those green sleeves, you'd better make the most of them, because other than one very notable exception, this is the last time that Avon wears an outfit that isn't brown, white, black or shades of grey for the entire rest of the series. The rest of it looks a bit like someone's Star Trek Discovery uniform cosplay got out of hand. 6/10, because green.
As seen in Redemption and Killer.
Obviously, this is a classic. And full marks to Paul Darrow for wearing a costume that was literally bought from a sex shop and making it look like something that anyone might wear to their normal day of fighting oppression and engaging in homoerotic tension. 10/10.
As seen in Shadow, Horizon, Gambit, and Children of Auron.
OK fine I threw away the term "classic" too soon, this is the true classic, the time Avon decided to dress as a thermal blanket and then pair that with thigh-high boots. ICONIC. What I love about this is aside from being batshit, it's actually kind of a nice outfit? I imagine that shiny fabric was absolute hell to work with but the gathering at the shoulders means it hangs surprisingly well.
It also gains at least 5 bonus points for featuring in this, one of my all-time favourite Blake's 7 moments:
I wish I could find it as a gif, but you'll just have to join me in pretending these images are moving instead. And in heaving a nostalgic sigh for the era when men were allowed to have normal bodies on TV. 15/10.
As seen in Shadow.
I've tried to go for just one main outfit per episode, because this is already very long and we're only about halfway through. But I had to make an exception for matching! outfits! And all the better for being an outfit that looks great on all three of them. I only wish that Avon could have had some silver boots like Jenna is wearing, I think it would really have completed the look. 9/10.
As seen in Weapon, Pressure Point, Countdown, and Dawn of the Gods.
In some ways, this costume is quite practical. Avon is wearing something not a million miles from bikers' leathers here, and the quilted part of the chest and back would presumably offer him a bit of protection if he got into a fight. But also, it's the colour and style of a brothel sofa, and there's no way in hell he could wear this and retain the ability to lift his arms above his head.
God, I love this show. 10/10.
As seen in Trial, Hostage, Voice From the Past, The Keeper, Star One, Aftermath, and Powerplay.
I have less to say about this because - and I mean this in full tribute to the Blake's 7 costume designers - it's just a nice jacket! It stays in keeping with the design trends we see throughout the series, with panels of different fabrics, and spacewear shiny silver bits, but ultimately you could wear this on the street today and no one would give you a second look. I quite like that about it. 8/10.
As seen Aftermath. (And the loose black shirt in Voice From the Past is similar too).
Maybe this is just my mid-00s goth-adjacent phase showing through, but I am, and always will be, a sucker for a man in this kind of shirt. 8/10, please don't make me justify this further.
As seen in Volcano and Rumours of Death.
The first of many similar black outfits, where I'm going to be selective or this will get tedious very quickly. I think this is the best of them; after this, the 80s started up in earnest, and Avon's shoulders were never allowed to be their natural width again. 9/10.
As seen in The Harvest of Kairos.
My parents haven't been camping in years, but somewhere in the attic they still have an old tent, which lives in a bag that looks a lot like this outfit. As if I needed any more reasons to dislike The Harvest of Kairos. 1/10.
As seen in Ultraworld.
Avon what are you doing. Brown is not your colour. I think I might headcanon that this is Blake's jacket, because aside from the brownness it also seems to be a fair bit too big for Avon. After a couple of seasons of squeezing him into the lobster outfit and other tight leather things, the costume designers seem to have swerved hard into boxy shapes from this point onwards. I disapprove. Honestly, I was going to skip this one except that I love what Dayna is wearing. Wish Avon could have some of that energy. 2/10.
As seen in Death-Watch.
Let's pause for a second, look to the left, and appreciate that Dayna is wearing another fabulous outfit. Now let's take a deep breath, and look at the utter monstrosity that Avon is wearing. Like a matador crossed with a bumper car. 0/10.
As seen in Rescue, Power, Traitor, Stardrive, Animals, Headhunter, Orbit, Warlord, and Blake.
Avon wears some kind of black jacket with studs for nearly all of season D, but I've picked this as the definitive one. I don't know if there's some kind of clever character development thing going on here with how big this costume is, like Avon is expanding into his leadership role, but weighed down by the responsibility too. It could be deliberate, it could just be what fashion was like in the early 80s.
What I do know is that however meaningful this costuming might be, it's not flattering. 5/10, and Avon finishes the series, sadly, no better dressed than he began it.
#blake's 7#costuming#kerr avon#paul darrow#i'm game for doing Servalan next though tbh i'd prefer Jenna so i can look at some actual colours

Made Marion Mini-FAQ, Sept. 23
Just a few bits and bobs that I can talk about at this point in development!
Q: Players commit to their route ending at the end of Chapter 3 and then experience one of two different Chapter 4s. Does that make each chapter 4 choice-free?
There are still choices in the Chapter 4s! Many of the game's major love scenes are in the relevant character's Chapter 4, so you'll have the love scene choice if you have explicit text on. The rest of the choices are for the purpose of role-playing and making decisions about Marion's future. They won't make major changes to the ending, but they'll let you put a personal stamp on your endgame experience.
Except, of course for that choice. The one that leads either to victory or to a bad end. Which choice is it? You'll find out!
Some of your earlier choices can also cause minor changes in Chapter 4. For instance, in Sherwood Common Marion can write either an angry or a diplomatic letter to her father. This may affect whether he appears in the epilogue segment at the end of a Sherwood character's route.
Q: What kind of experience does the option to turn off explicit text provide? Does it allow for asexual relationships?
Because one of the main goals of the Made Marion project was to provide mature-rated love scenes for adult otome/amare fans who were interested in them, we don't have the option for asexual relationships in this game. Marion is allosexual by canon and it's obvious from the way she views the world from the very beginning of the game.
When explicit text is off, the player reads a shortened, non-explicit version of scenes that involve sexual activity. I try to get across the emotions that the characters are feeling without getting into the nitty-gritty of things, but it's still stated that the characters are having a sexual encounter.
Explicit text is ON by default in Made Marion, so players who do not wish to read such text should turn it off in the Options menu ASAP. Once a scene with explicit text has begun, turning the option off won't work until the next explicit scene (not that we're loaded with them, it's just how the script flow of the game works). I may be able to program a "break-out" button later on, but it won't be available as of the first Early Access release.
Q: Characters in Made Marion drink "tisane." Is that tea or something else?
A tisane is a hot drink with an herbal infusion. Many tisanes, also known as herbal teas, do not contain actual tea leaves. Tea is a very specific beverage, and its history in Europe is tied up in colonial-era violence. Instead of trying to work that into my alternate-magical-Europe history, I decided that it made the most sense for Avalons to simply drink non-tea-containing tisanes. Considering that plant druids are all about making magical hybrid plants, they probably have some delicious ones! They are caffeine-free but may contain other types of stimulants.
When Avalons aren't drinking alcohol, there's a good chance that they're drinking tisane. Thanks to druidic knowledge and the environmental protections inherent in the Pact, Avalon drinking water is way cleaner than the water was in Medieval England. But as Avalon science doesn't yet have a working knowledge of microorganisms, boiling your water is still the safest way to go.

Maybe since everything is hunky dory in the brothel again (and referencing the video w Mickey Avalon song you reblogged the other day) NW can try to be more friendly with Lincoln and teach him how to Jane Fonda 😛
I agree btw NW is sooo Mickey Avalon music coded it's all I've been listening to today lol
ref: javi edit w/ song by @dark-scape
night walks
Yes!! Mickey is a legend and a menace - like, the man has an enormous pelvis tattoo that says THANK YOU. I wanna make a night walks playlist I can share, but it would be time consuming to comb through lyrics for triggers and stuff with such depraved, irreverent artists 😳 #toxicproblems.
MORE brothel lore... (FAQ)
There's a brothel montage in my head of NW lifting weights, set to Fuck Me I'm Famous by Dirt Nasty & Andre Legacy. High on cocaine, you know my name, grab my gold chain, (fuck me I'm famous).
NW is notorious and kind of a celeb among most of the guys even though they live together. He's so chill and nice, and it only enhances his BDE.
Slasher is rifling through his closet which is mostly blue jumpsuits, like "idk what to wear."
Speakeasy shrugs, "they didn't tell ya? where ya goin'?"
"Just night walks side of the basement." He starts changing into PJs. In disbelief, "He invited me, man."
Speakeasy has second hand embarrassment and ribs him for being starstruck but he totally gets it.
Night walks gets asked in an interview what it's like when they fangirl over him. He just says, "shit, I'll fuck their fans AND their girls." The guys aren't even mad. Most of them eat it up bc it's NW being NW.
Provocative but not explicit pic below the cut (mickey's tat)
In their music You could likely encounter (among other stuff) language obviously, drugs, addiction, sex work, explicit sexual content, references to bad things having happened like abuse or overdose, seediness, body commentary, derogatory or just depraved remarks (often about themselves but also others). Dirt Nasty (simon rex) is another one, you might know him from scary movie 3 or his song 1980 (fun fact, he also used to do solo male porn 🥵).

Please, clever and pretty faces are the two things I pick up on the quickest babes. Nice to see you have both going for you.
Annnnd you're definitely not the first person to ask. Maybe I should put a FAQ or something on our socials... Or a subtitle. But I feel like that would be a bitch and a half, to have to pay for new signs. Tír na nÓg is a mythological fairyland. It kind of translates to land of the young. Think like Avalon, or Neverland, or any of those other fun fantastical party towns.
I try my best ! Thanks for noticing. Glad you noticed.
Alright, alright. Sold ! So, what does it mean, your place's name? It's rather uncommon.

Water Damage Restoration Services
Water damage restoration services involve removing the excess water and moisture from the property, drying the affected areas, and then repairing and restoring the damage. These services are performed by licensed professionals and may be covered under a homeowner's insurance policy.
When searching for a water damage restoration company, customers should consider how broad the service area is and whether or not they charge additional fees to customers outside that area. They should also look at how quickly the service will respond to an emergency situation, as this will have an effect on the overall time it takes to dry out the property.
A good water damage restoration company will be available 24/7 to respond to any emergencies and help remove any standing water on the property as well as monitor and track the drying process. This ensures that the property is completely dry as soon as possible and helps to prevent mold from growing or any other potential issues.
They should also make sure that they use trained, certified technicians to do the work. These technicians will be able to implement mold remediation and other water damage restoration services safely and effectively.
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) certifies professionals in cleaning, inspection, and restoration. Technicians may be certified in one of several categories, such as applied structural drying technician or senior carpet inspector.
It is advisable for homeowners to choose a water damage restoration company that is certified by the IICRC and has experience in plumbing and home restoration. These companies will have the knowledge and resources to complete any restoration job, from small to large.
Some of the best water damage restoration services will have customer service representatives that can answer questions and communicate with insurance companies on behalf of the customer. They should also be able to provide helpful advice about how to file an insurance claim.
They should have a detailed FAQ section on their website, and they should be able to provide a written guarantee for the work they complete. This will give the customer peace of mind knowing that their home will be restored to its pre-damage state as quickly as possible.
Their staff will use specialized equipment to measure the level of moisture in the property and assess the extent of the damage. This will help the company determine how much time it will take to dry the property and what steps need to be taken in order to get the property to a healthy, livable state.
Lastly, they should have experienced staff members that will conduct a thorough cleaning of the damaged property to remove all traces of dirt and debris. This includes disinfecting the affected areas and applying antimicrobial agents to stop mold from growing.
Choosing the right company for the task is important because water damage can have serious implications for your home and health. It is also a major hassle, so it is important to find a company that will provide excellent service at an affordable price.

How old is the MC?
You appear to be in your late 20s
What is the relationship between the MC and Excalibur?
The MC is the corporeal form of Excalibur; meaning the magic associated with Excalibur created a physical being (besides the sword). You and Excalibur are linked by the magic but you are two different entities.
Does the MC have any distinguishing marks?
The MC has “tattoos” going down their spine that are an exact copy of the engravings on Excalibur’s blade; they glow a soft blue in certain lights.
Do the ROs have face claims?
Yes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t imagine them however you’d like.

LB6 Part 2 FAQs are here, and I’m cutting out some from there which has been asked by the anons to me.
BEWARE OF SPOILERS AT YOUR OWN RISK
My thoughts: I’ll agree with OP on this post, as of current until next 2 years, Fairy Knight Lancelot is either called as Melusine or FK Lancelot until NA official translator decided which one of the True Name or maybe even both to take on for her.
My thoughts: More foreshadowing that really needs Oberon’s POV because he was apparently summoned at the same time as BITCH Beryl.
And Merlin’s status is still unknown but LB6 reveals Merlin has been teaching Castoria via telepathy, hinting he’s definitely somewhere out of Avalon or very well hidden/imprisoned that he can’t teach her directly like PHH
My thoughts: BIGGEST F FOR PEPE OUR BEST BOI CRYPTER TT_TT
My thoughts: Now I need to find who’s the translator that mentions Kazuradrop is Beryl’s Servant. Or who the fuck bitch summoned this other abomination devil bitch here?!
My thoughts: Now to the anon who insisted Beryl is dead.... Apparently this bloody ass cockroach rotten dick is still alive. But what is his plans now? Unknown, even his current whereabouts remaining unknown is a huge red flag something worst is coming in epilogue
My thoughts: This has not been asked, but I’m cutting this part out because this is very important point until now... Rhongomyniad has YET to appear on Part 1 and Part 2. And the fact Morgan didn’t use is even more disturbing... Two scenario question: If Morgan wields Rhongomyniad, who does it falls into hands next? If Morgan wasn’t the one who wielded Rhongomyniad, who was the one who fired at Beryl in Olympus and killed Wodime back there?
My thoughts: Oberon’s true identity and class finally revealed once the disguise or whatever is blown off?
My thoughts: Now kinda really curious the one we have for Percival now is PHH Percival?
My thoughts: Hmm.... Now with a clearer understanding of Oberon.... Front actions seems to help Chaldea. But what’s worrying is the end and his own true agenda. Maybe he does have PHH Servants of wanting to restore the original history, but the hunch of bad feeling from him isn’t shaking off. He reminds too much of Well-intentioned Extremists tropes, where he would resort something far worse and even betrayal to Chaldea so that he can achieve this goal.
Anyhow, the others I didn’t add in are in the reddit for you guys to read!

Skin fair 2021 is coming! The dates are between March 12th going on to March 29th (Slurl Pending). Lelutka is a sponsor of the skin fair and they have some AMAZING new heads coming to you. The one that I’m wearing in the above photo is called Avalon. These heads are a little different but worth getting to know. You can familiarize yourself with the heads here so that you know what you’re getting into: https://lelutkasl.com/faq/ I was super impressed with the shaping of this head and just how nice the makeup’s work on it. I’m using the base skin that came with the head and the eyelashes as well. I am using the Evo X version of this head but you can still use your old skins with a click of a button on the hud - it’s like having two heads in one.
The make up I’m using is stuff that I already had from Top1 Salon and Warpaint. It seems like these applier make ups work as long as they are for Lelutka Evolution. The regular BOM layers in my experience using this head do not work with the Evo X, but again I could be wrong - make sure you check this out: https://lelutkasl.com/faq/ The only small down side I see is that these heads are so new I’m not sure if anyone has made skins for them - I will be looking forward to seeing what comes out at the Skin Fair 2021. I can’t wait to see some of my favorite skin brands making new skins for this. The base skins that come with this head are still very nice though.
I’m also wearing some very nice things from Equal10 that just opened. Doux made this hair called Silent. The flowers on my head are from Tentacio, and my shirt is from Gaia. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/equal10/231/127/89

appreciation post for @whitneyavalon and her ever-growing, madly creative brain
Whitney is one of the most hardworking, dedicated people I have ever come across on YouTube and her content, quite honestly, is funnier and has far better writing than most of the other shmucks out there. The quality of her videos never ceases to astound me and, even if I haven’t watched the content she’s creating parodies for (like The Good Place, for example) I often find myself singing along pretty quickly. If you’ve not indulged yourself in her content, I’ll include a link to her channel under this terribly made gifset
her name is W-H-I-T-N-E-Y and don’t you forget it 🎵🎶
