Autex Acoustics repurposes industrial plastic waste with SpinFix range
Autex Acoustics has developed an adhesive-free mounting system for its acoustic panels using manufacturing waste, as shown in this video produced by Dezeen for the brand. Autex Acoustics has developed a series of recycled clips and fastenings used for mounting acoustic sound panels, which were debuted at the brand's showroom during this year's London Design Festival. Autex Acoustics has launched its SpinFix range Called SpinFix, the mounting system was designed to eliminate the use of adhesives, which enable the panels to be more easily repurposed or recycled at the end of their life cycle. Without adhesives, the acoustic panels can be dismounted and disassembled without causing damage.

SpinFix can be installed without the use of adhesivesThe SpinFix clips are made from RePET, a recycled material made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is created by recycling the leftover waste from Autex Acoustics' manufacturing processes. SpinFix works using a mechanism that binds the clips to the panels without glue, enabling them to be easily recycled.

Autex Acoustics' ceiling panels can be used in a variety of spacesThe brand also displayed its Grid Ceiling Tiles and Groove collection in its showroom during London Design Festival. Grid Ceiling tiles are an adhesive-free acoustic solution for traditional ceiling grid systems. Each customisable tile is made from at least 60 per cent post-consumer recycled content.

Autex's Groove panels are made locally from 100 per cent recycled polyesterGroove is a customisable lightweight ceiling and wall panel system that uses geometric angular ridges to distort and bend light. The panels, which feature a self-adhesive backing for easy installation, can be tailored with various pattern options. Dezeen teamed up with Autex Acoustics during London Design Festival to host a talk on innovative approaches in product design.

The panel featured London designer Jan Hendzel, Gensler design director Megan Dobstaff and Autex Acoustics consultant Abby Gottermeyer. The speakers shared their perspectives on how to bring together creativity and sustainability when designing. In a world that increasingly acknowledges the significance of sustainable practices and eco-friendly choices, Autex Acoustic stands out as a pioneer. Offering solutions that don't just address interior acoustic challenges but also align with green building aspirations, Autex Interior Solutions embodies the intersection of function and responsibility.
Introduction
Every space, whether it’s a bustling office, a quiet studio, or a vibrant restaurant, demands distinct acoustic requirements. For years, designers and architects have sought solutions that manage sound while enhancing aesthetics. Enter Autex Acoustic Panels – a solution that elegantly addresses sound management while reinforcing a commitment to the environment.
Why Acoustics Matter
Before delving into the specifics of Autex, it’s essential to understand why acoustics play a crucial role in interior design and architecture. Sound can profoundly influence human emotion and cognition. A room with poor acoustics can render conversations unintelligible, leading to increased stress, reduced productivity, and even health concerns over time. In contrast, spaces with balanced acoustics foster comfort, clarity, and productivity.

Autex Acoustic Panels are renowned not only for their effectiveness in managing sound but also for their design versatility and eco-friendliness.

Eco-consciousness: In an era of heightened environmental consciousness, Autex stands apart with its Carbon Neutral Acoustic Solutions. The company's commitment to sustainability is evident in its choice of materials, manufacturing processes, and end-of-life panel disposal.
High Performance: Beyond aesthetics and environmental benefits, these panels excel in what they are fundamentally designed for – sound absorption. They effectively reduce echo, control background noise, and create a sound-balanced environment.
Autex Interior Solutions: Beyond Panels
While acoustic panels are among the company’s most sought-after products, Autex Interior Solutions is a holistic approach to sound management. This approach includes a myriad of products and solutions tailored to cater to different spatial and acoustic needs. From wall coverings to ceiling solutions and even partition systems, Autex ensures that every nook and cranny of a space can resonate with balanced acoustics and sustainable choices.
The Importance of Carbon Neutral Acoustic Solutions
The threat of climate change and the depletion of natural resources is palpable. Every industry has a role to play in curbing emissions and promoting sustainable practices. Autex’s commitment to offering Carbon Neutral Acoustic Solutions is a testament to its forward-thinking ethos.
Being carbon neutral means that the production, distribution, use, and disposal of Autex products don't contribute to the global carbon footprint. This is achieved through a combination of sustainable manufacturing practices, use of renewable resources, efficient transportation, and offsetting any remaining carbon emissions.
For clients and end-users, this means that by choosing Autex, they are actively contributing to a greener planet. In the realm of interior solutions, it's a significant step toward responsible design and architecture.

Joining Snippet Sunday!
Everyone thank @tracle0 for the brilliant idea! (And reblog their post while you're at it!!)
But it was also that 72 hours that made ignoring things I didn't want to deal with sound like a normal idea, instead of questioning whether the station was about to cave in, or - more relevantly - if I had company.
I turned down the last corridor to the "surface access lift".  Caught something in the corner of my eye, glanced half-heartedly and shrugged.  More rattling, but really what didn't in Earth Central.  The "up" button was already lit on the lift panel, which was less the gravlift it should have been, and more so an elevator system some extremely driven agents managed to "procure" the night before a local hotel demolition, sometime in the 80's.  My head slowly started questioning, through the murk of exhaustion, as the elevator made its sharp, echoing 'ding'.  The sound set my sluggish nervous system on fire, hair on end, banishing any thoughts that tried to form as the florescent light poured out of the elevator into the dark hallway, illuminating me and the flood of dust and lint in the air as I stood somewhat dumbly before it.  The dawning anxiety you get when you realize you're dreaming washed over me as I squinted into the light.  Slow thoughts percolating poorly through exhausted synapses and pseudo-cells, as I tried to either decide I'd already passed out and was dreaming, or if what I'd seen was real.
The elevator door shut without anything leaving the car, my eyes still locked on where the 4-or-so foot tall figure stood behind the door.  Was it even a figure?  A street sign?  A diamond-shaped head on a stick-like body with a single eye seated off-center of the face that managed to blink at me once before the door shut between us.
Another moment passed with me squinting at the elevator door.  "Autex, proximity bio scan."  My voice echoed back to me metallically off the deck plating of the dark, empty hallway.
["Attention: Insufficient Host Intracellular Energy."]
"Shit."
The interface voice of the Autex slurred in my head as it read off a litany of diagnostics and repairs it was initiating on my body, as my consciousness fell out of my grasps, and my body fell to the ground.  Half-thought questions about the blinking street sign, the Autex, and my impending concussion floated lazily in the dimming murk between my eyes.
"Belvedere Thurston, you are Summoned by the Triumvirate of Founders," a voice like tar and leather echoed in the hallways, and the last thing I saw, squinting through fading vision, was a "Road Work Ahead" sign with a mustache and one, off-center, eye leaning over me.
