ID Cards
From MC Monday (I seemed to have deleted it by mistake.)
Tobias Carrick:
Ah, young Tobias. You could sort of tell the shit he was about to get into by that grin on his Kenmore Intern ID. But randy as he may have been, he was still astute and disciplined when it came to medicine. In no time, he made quite a name for himself in the region.
After one year at Edenbrook, he replaced Ethan as Director of the Diagnostics Team when Dr. Ramsey became Chief of Medicine at Edenbrook.
When Casey's career necessitated a move to DC, he was offered a choice of positions at GWU, where his family had deep roots. Still unwilling to accept any assistance (or the appearance of such) from his family in his career, he turned them down.
He chose to open a private practice and Aurora and Jackie were among those to join his staff. It was a perfect situation with a growing family, and he was happy with the flexibility it afforded.
About five years later, Inova Health (the top hospital in the region) approached him about the Chief of Medicine position at their Fairfax, VA medical center. Although he wanted to pursue it desperately, he feared it would be too much of a disruption to his family's life. He was about to turn the offer down when Casey convinced him they would make it work. He had sacrificed so much to make the move to DC in support of her, she promised they'd do whatever it took to make this happen for him too.
He remained at Inova for well over a decade, but as he began to approach the end of his career, he finally came to accept where he belonged in his family legacy. He oversaw the building of a wing built in his father's name at GWU Hospital and eventually went to work there, sitting on the Board.
Casey MacTavish-Carrick:
Casey remained in Boston after her residency, becoming an attending physician at Edenbrook and continuing her work on the Diagnostics Team.
As she became more involved with her advocacy for equal access to healthcare, she began spending a good amount of time traveling between Boston and Washington, DC.
GWU Hospital wanted to create a diagnostics team and they offered her the opportunity to head up the department.
The idea of being able to create a department from the ground up, and being able to work in DC where most of her advocacy work took place was too enticing, her answer was yes, as long as she could get Tobias to agree.
Initially, he was not keen on returning to the area where he grew up/family remained, but he did not want to put a damper on Casey's dreams, so he agreed and they moved to DC.
Casey led her new department to be one of the top diagnostic teams in the world less than 5 years after its inception.
During her career she remained a fierce advocate for healthcare accessibility, serving on numerous committees and as an advisor to various political think tanks and two sitting US Presidents.

The global automated material handling equipment market size is anticipated to reach USD 114.45 billion by 2030, projected to grow at a CAGR of 9.7% from 2024 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The increasing labor costs in many countries are driving the demand for AMH equipment, which is replacing manual labor. It helps companies save costs by reducing the need for manual labor and increasing productivity. Further, e-commerce has created a need for faster and more efficient material handling systems. Automated Material Handling (AMH) equipment is used in e-commerce warehouses to handle large volumes of orders to ensure products are delivered to customers quickly and accurately. Technological advances have also made it possible to develop more sophisticated AMH equipment that is fast, accurate, and reliable. These systems use sensors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to automate material handling tasks.
Automated Material Handling Equipment Market Report Highlights
The robots segment led the market in 2023, accounting for over 24% share of the global revenue owing to the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in robotic systems.

Automated storage and retrieval systems can significantly reduce variable costs by eliminating the need for manual labor for tasks such as assembly, picking, storing, and inventory replenishment. Warehouses and distribution centers require the regular replenishment of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventories to maintain uninterrupted processes, making shelf arrangement and grouping critical. Efficient space utilization is vital for the bottom line of warehouses and distribution centers. For instance, in September 2022, Aurora Organic Dairy, a producer of organic milk and butter for U.S. retailers, sought the help of Westfalia Technologies Inc. to design an AS/RS solution for a significant warehouse addition. The AS/RS enabled the company to build a highly automated warehouse adjacent to the milk plant to accommodate growth in a limited square footage area while recasting the whole warehousing process from production to shipping to staging.
Labor shortages are compelling organizations to seek robots to ensure their stability. Industries such as janitorial services, commercial and home delivery, food and beverage, healthcare, and manufacturing are expected to benefit from autonomous mobile and collaborative robots. Technologically advanced countries such as South Korea and Japan are at the forefront of manufacturing next-generation AMH equipment. For instance, in March 2023, THIRA Robotics launched a new generation of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) designed to operate in harsh facility conditions, previously unsuitable for automation. This development is likely a significant advancement in the automation industry. The company aimed to present five models and demonstrations of AMR operating on sloped and uneven flooring at Promat.

Future Love Interest (Isla) They could’ve just met or have know each other for awhile now. It’s a slow burn relationship. Maybe they’re friends first who fall in love but are afraid to confess their feelings for one another?
BIOGRAPHY
tw: domestic violence, depression, murder, suicidal ideation
Zenobia was born to Timothy & Kimberly Winters on a cold October morning in Northknot. She was born second out of four kids. They grew up in a stable, happy home. Their father was a dentist and their mother a stay at home mom. Although their father worked long hours to provide for the family, he and their mother tried their hardest to be attentive, supportive and loving parents. Zenobia felt the love that her family had to offer and liked to give that love to others who didn't necessarily get it from home.
She found her love for the ice when she was only five years old. She'd go out skating with her father on his off days. Zenobia turned out to be really good at it and would go on to skate competitively as a teenager. That's where she met her best friend and then rival, Grace. They'd stay out late together practicing on the ice at all times of the hour as kids. They both genuinely loved skating and while trying to outdo one another, they became really good friends.
It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.
Zenobia was pretty good in school but her main focus was skating. She averaged a B in most of her classes but that was because she would rush through her work to get back out on the ice. All of her work on the ice paid off, when she was nineteen, she and her best friend had the opportunity to try out for the 2014 Winter Olympics. At the qualifiers, she watched Grace collapse on the ice and was rushed to the hospital while Zenobia ended up qualifying for the Olympics.
She almost didn't go because she felt guilty about Grace's injury. She thought that Grace should've been the one going to the Olympics and not her. Zenobia thought she should've intervened when Grace first told her about her injury and maybe they would've gone to the Olympics together. At the Olympics, she placed third overall, receiving a Bronze medal. After the Olympics, Zenobia continued to skate competitively but it wasn't the same without Grace.
In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine.
Zenobia loved and loved hard. When she fell in love for the first time that summer after the Olympics, she knew that Addison was the person she wanted to spend the rest of life with. That's probably why she stayed in the relationship for so long although it wasn't good for her. Addison cheated on her and would manipulate her into believing her lies. When they broke up in 2017, Zenobia wanted to flee the entire country. It was hard for her to lose the person she thought she was going to spend her life with.
When Addison was murdered in 2018, Zenobia spiraled into a depression. She'd quit figure skating and left home with intentions of never coming back. She thought about taking her own life at a point and when it got that bad, she sought out help. She was in therapy for two years before deciding she wanted to go back to school to become a therapist herself. She got her master's degree in counselling and while in school, she met someone new, Lauren Solace. Lauren was fresh out of graduate school with her degree in Political Science when they met.
We break ourselves to fit better into all the wrong hearts.
Zenobia's and Lauren's relationship happened really fast. They were dating one day and the next moving in together. That should've been the first red flag but Zenobia looked past it. She just figured they were madly in love. Lauren proposed to Zenobia a few months into their relationship. They were engaged for a year before things started to get bad. Lauren would physically, mentally and emotionally abuse Zenobia. When Zenobia tried to leave, Lauren would get aggressive and often threaten to kill herself because she knew Zenobia had a hard time losing her ex.
It wasn't until Zenobia finally broke down and called her best friend that things started to turn around for the blonde. She told Grace everything that had been going on and one day while Lauren was at work, Grace came and helped her move her things out of their shared apartment in Toronto. She ended up moving back home at her best friend's convincing. While in Northknot, she started working in her career and made a name for herself. She bought herself a house near the neighborhood she grew up in and is working as an Expressive Arts Therapist at a practice near the hospital.

The Global Autoclave Equipment Market Continues To Grow Owing To the Rising Demand from Healthcare Sectors for Sterilizing Medical Equipment to Ensure the Safety of the Post-Surgical Period
Autoclave equipment is the most popular sterilization method in the industry and is used for many applications including the manufacture of food products. It is widely used in the foodservice industry to sterilize and cleanse equipment used in the process of preparing and serving food. The autoclave is the abbreviated form of autolysis which means oxidation. Autoclaves have various parts including an electric motor, a condenser, and a burner. Autoclave equipment includes vials for sealing the autoclave, a glass or plastic container that has been lined with wax or plastic, and the appropriate autoclave equipment accessories such thermometer for measuring the temperature of the autoclave. All modern steam sterilizing equipment & autoclave machines provide a much-refined workflow experience, which makes you reconsider whether or not steam sterilizing is all it can be. A wide range of sterilization methods is used for sterilizing your medical and laboratory specimen so the right sterilization procedure for your type of medical situation is very important. For instance, the most commonly used surgical sterilization method is electrodesiccation which uses electric currents to destroy microorganisms. Other commonly used sterilization methods include carbon dioxide laser, ozone therapy, and surgical air blast.
Market Dynamics
The main factors driving the growth of the market are the increasing concern over post-operation infection and diseases. Autoclave equipment is essential to remove all the microorganisms such as spore-forming and non-spore-forming bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. These microorganisms can contaminate pharmaceutical and surgical equipment and materials and can result in health hazards. The rapid requirement for surgical processes is also boosting the market. For instance, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2018, approximately 25.7 million ambulatory surgery procedures were performed in healthcare units.
However, the high cost of sterilizing with autoclave equipment across the globe and strict regulatory procedures in the emerging economies are the main restraining factors hindering the growth of the market.
This market is distributed in five regions that include North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, and Latin America. Among these, North America is estimated to hold a bigger share of the autoclave equipment market owing to the rapid increase of demand for sterilization techniques from the healthcare sector to reduce the occurrence of Healthcare-associated Infections (HAI), increased demand for healthcare services, and rise of the geriatric population. According to the Urban Institute, the geriatric population of the US was approximately 47 million in 2020. The market in the Asia Pacific is estimated to witness significant growth owing to the presence of key players in the region.
Competitive Analysis
The leading players of autoclave equipment market industry include Qiagen, Labware, LabVantage Solutions, Olympus, CernerHamilton Storage Technologies, Brooks Automation, Eppendorf, Biotek Instruments, bioMérieux, Becton, Aurora Biomed, Agilent Technologies, Abbott Diagnostics, Siemens Healthcare, Tecan Group, and Thermo Fisher, Danaher, and PerkinElmer.
In January 2018, Celitron launched their Integrated Sterilizer and Shredder in an exhibition at Arab Health.
